First to say fantastic device! I used it from its release 'till 2 years ago. 16gb internal + 32gb SDHC perform very good. Camera is solid in low light condition, and this phone is surprisingly still working very well after 4 years of usage. I give it to my mother in summer 2016. and bought Huawei P9. She's still very satisfied with device, same as I with EVA-l29 (4/64gb). My whole close family using Huawei devices :D In couple days P20 Pro (128/6gb) will be shipped to me. Can't wait for this day! :) I recommend all Huawei P series!

Sublime! I've been using it since it was launched, and till now it works just fine.The device runs on Android 5.1.1 with an exceptionally user friendly UI. Even me being a hardcore user, still juice remains there in battery. And as far as performance is concerned, I get some minor 1-2 second delays in app response which is expected from any device used from so long. Moreover, using your device for a long period of time and charging it to 100% lays an negative impact to the electrolysis in battery, so over a period of time battery lifes does drop but it did not too much in this mid-range device, still i get 4-5 hours of continuous use (with 70% brightness).Also the speaker sounds comparative better than today's most of the flagship devices. Furthermore both the front and rear cameras take spectacular clicks.Last but not the least, looking at the build, as soon as I hold my phone, it seems and feels it's just taken out of the box. It has gorilla glass 3 on front and at the back. Also the design is very dazzling with that beautifully penned "Huawei Middle East" logo, which looks mesmerizing to me. Finally now after years of wait, Mate 10 is here and looking forward to get it in my pocket toooo!! *For those having some performance/battery/heating issues, I suggest install Kuwaiti firmware, which eliminates these issues by almost 70 %.

Some roms doesn't support lte Download the latest build which is b861. Do factory reset your phone before flashing a new rom it's absolutely vital For a clean installation. I'm sure it'll work just fine. Good luck.

I purchased this phone on Aug 20th, its been a gem. My battery lasts 12 hours. I watch anime on it and other activities. The option of restricting background app is a thing I use to also stop apps that drain the battery from auto startup. The battery is way better than the IPhone 4s i was using before. The phone shut off and never turned on again. Secondly my phone has never over heated, even if I'm using it while charging.

You have enabled the power saving mode. In that mode the resolution drops to 1280x700, and supposedly increases the battery life by 20%. Disable that mode and you get the FHD resolution (if you really need it).

B800 is a transition package, it is not a full version. It is not reccommended to use it for a long time. If b853 didnt worked for you, it means it is not for your geografic region. It's a cust problem. You should see what is your cust. You find it in "about phone". Search the net. B853 and b852 are the best versions. BUT YOU MUST HAVE THE CORRECT CUST NUMBER. :-)

If you have updated your phone, it is possible that you lost your cust number. That means you had a different cust number as the update. This might be the source of your problems with your phone.:-)

The most recent android version for p7 is lollipop 5.1.1, B852 wich run verry well, smooth and it has a lot of themes.it is true, there are little possibilities to have un update to marshmallow, but the last updates are very good. For installing you can search the web. :-)

In terms of the specs, Huawei P7 is better than P8 Lite. Then you may update the firmware of the Huawei P7 to B853 and everything works fine.

It is a cust problem. Search the web. You must downgrade to version b609, than apply the vendor (change the cust) and than upgrade to b839 and ota update to b852. Good luck! Search forums!!! You will get all answers :-)

It is very good to update to lollipop. To the last version, the b839 version. It is very good, the phone move like a charm. But if you want to do that, i advise to read verry carefully the forums. There are branded versions that can give you headakes. Good luck!!!!

B839 is the best working huawei release for this phone. Everthing works fine. Better battery life, smoother, faster ui. B800 is only a rollback package to kitkat, not for everyday use.

My P7 was working perfectly before B830 update after that apps keep on crashing. I found a solution to this problem, the main culprit here is chrome browser, reset chrome so that all its updates are removed then remove FB app. After this restart phone, install FB app again and turn off auto play videos in FB. I did this and viola my phone is running better than before. Use Firefox instead till Huawei releases a fix for this.

Using P7 for almost a year from now, and i can say that it is very good phone! Rooted and debloated 5.1.1 firmware is surprisingly very stable. In everyday use with wifi /allways on, battery still lasts whole day. External 16GB SD card works the way better and faster than 32GB card (same speed class). Camera 7/10, design 10/10, speed 8/10.

for those who have problems with the last update B830, i advise them to roll back to version B800. I did so, and my phone is back. I have motion control, i have 4g option, it moves beautiful. it is good to have my phone back. And i have android 5.1.1 also.

I keep losing the homepage buttons at the bottom. And it appears to be always in silent mode, despite not being in it. I guess we sit and wait for the bugs to be sorted?

I uninstalled fb app and all is back to normal. Even the alarm clock got an error and after i uninstalled fb everything is back to normal. I use chrome to browse through fb and all is good.

After the last update (updated yesterday) i can't use the facebook app. Had to delete it to use my phone orelse everything crashes! I reported the issue to FB and deleted the app. No more fb app for now orelse i can't use my huawei p7 device.

I have the exact same issue I called the serve desk of Huawei they told me it is a major software glitch Facebook not working email alarms fail YouTube not working buttons are crashing...... and there is no solution yet they only thing they can do I gather all the stuff and sent the data over to china. and they offers us in the Netherlands to sent the phone to an phone doctor and they could fix it for us (so I think a downgrade?) all costs are for Huawei because of warranty!

They promised Lollipop for this phone to be released on July and now it's October and I haven't gotten my Lollipop update yet. I contacted Huawei at the end of August or beginning of September and they responded with the following answer: Dear customer, thank you for your request. At the moment we don't have the exact information when your device will receive the desired Android update. As soon as the next Android update will be available, your device will receive it automatically OTA. I am pretty sure they dropped the update and that Lollipop is never coming to the Huawei Ascend P7.

P7 is a nice phone had no issues.Only problem is if you leave your access location and tagging on it will slow down the camera and video recorder or even freeze it. I don't use those features so I'm happy with my phone.Battery life is great ,can charge my phone once a day and use whatsapp, make calls and take picture no problem. I have this phone for almost a month its a nice phone actually but one thing i noticed is the pixel resolution coz b4 its not updated (i update it coz i saw in my notification that the phone need to be update the EMUI to 3.0 which i did) the resolution b4 is 1080x1920 but now its 720x1280 why its getting lesser on the new update is anyone knows about this kind of issue

I bought a P7 on Saturday (18/07/15), and am very happy with it. I have no complaints, and found the battery to last well, especially since I have constantly been exploring it's capabilities, and have a lot of apps installed! I have just set it as explained, using ROG the technology, and will see how much difference it makes to the already good standby. Before the setting, I'd charge the battery by 19:00, and it would last till the following evening with about 45% left, and then I'd be using it quite a lot. Really happy with this cell.

Hi P7 users, I own one and don't have bad things to say about the phone. Saved allot of battery when I enabled ROG Technology under settings\Power saving\top right 3 dots option select settings and enable ROG Technology. Phone will restart and phone will be even more responsive. Also to save even more power I installed an app called DS Battery Saver and selected Slumberer mode. There are other power saving modes in the app. You can select the one that works for you. This app is great cause it stops all background/data activity while screen is off allowing extra battery saving. Camera and video is excellent. Also with Lolipop coming out soon, a promising 90 minutes extra use time on device is expected. Let me know if there is any questions that I can help with. :)

Iv'e had this phone for months now. It's a great phone , hasn't given me any problem at all. It downloads all apps every app i wanted to download i have. Functionality is awesome, Camera is awesome. Call quality is awesome. If you are thinking about purchasing this phone , i can tell you honestly you wil be pleased. Only one thing i would recommend is to buy an glass screen protector and a phone case for it. My GF dropped her Huawei ascend p7 after 2 days and the screen shattered. It took along time to fix, because we had to order new screen from China.

The picture quality is wonderful. however I noticed that when I receive calls despite that the volume is set at 10, the voice at the other end is barely audible. secondly, I have not enjoyed the internet service on it because the network reception is usually very poor even when other phones on same network where I am are connected to the network.

G7 is also very good in design and if someone want to use less money it should go for G7 instead of P7.... one plus point in G7 is that it has 64 bit processor while P7 is 32 bit..... future is of 64bit as every new coming mobile is on 64 bit.... but chance of getting regular update for G7 is less as compared to P7.... coz former is midrange cell and latter is premium category cell...

I have had this phone for a month and though I am satisfied with all the other specs, I am very disappointed in the display glass. I was told that the Cornering Gorilla 3 glass is a very good glass and does not scratch or break easily, however after one drop (from the couch to the floor) while the phone was in the pouch, the whole front glass shattered. So if you find yourself sometimes dropping your phone, i would not recommend this one.

The Sony Xperia Z2 in my ( opinion ) is the better than the p7 Because... 1- the Z2 is waterproof and the P7 is not. 2-the Z2 can upgrade to android 5 " lollipops " and the P7 is not. 3- the camera in the Z2 is absolutely better the P7 it's 20.7 MP and the video is 2k. 4- the battery is bigger so you can use it more time before you charging it. 5- the Xperia Z2 was made by Japan and the P7 was made by China.

Battery back up is very poor. Battery drain very fast very much disadvantage of this phone other things are good. If you buy this phone then keep back up external battery pack along with you. Huawei is assuming this is there flagship phone but only for slimmest. We have to wait for better phone in all respect from huawei.

Hi Anyone out there - does anyone know how to deactivate the Emergency Alert notification on this phone. It is affecting the battery life of the phone and there's no way that I can see to switch it off. I have called their South African Support Office however nothing they gave assisted me. For it's price, Ascend P7 is probably the best you can get. It is light and thin and runs smoothly. Camera is just perfect (although it could be better in low light situations). I can get all the games run on fast with no lag. Speaker is loud and pretty good, but I hate that it is on back side of the phone. 9/10

Just bought it 2 weeks ago, everything is good. Camera is beyond expectation. Reasonable battery life, perfect for normal user but not ready for gamer. It will become hot and lag when play games, in my case is Hayday which i never face this prob in my previous Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8. I have this phone for a while and works just perfect. The battery lasts for a day of use with internet, wifi and 3g just fine, facebook is fast and so is FB messenger. The 3d games i tryed worked smooth also, the sound on speaker was good too while playing youtube videos. I found out that the screen freezes for a really short amount of time after unlocking. If you have a live wallpaper it will stop after unlock and you can see this kind of motion restart. It's really anoying, i tryed launchers and stuff... it still does the thing. Overall i will give a thumb up to Huawei for this product.

on the 5.0 i have no idea. on user experience i own one for a few months now and i´m inlove. i benched my z1 in favor of it. it had some falls but the glass still managed and it has no scratch whatsoever. i do say on the down side is the os, sometimes laggy and annoyng. if you do buy the device i reccomend installing google now launcher. it turns it into another beast, no more lag and battery life of up to 40%. i have no idea how but it reaches up to 4 days normal usage and with the original launcher maximum was 2 days. so yes a great phone for it´s price, and the audio on speaker is great, on headphones, a little soft but crisp and clear.

It depends upon you.... if you want a premium design , very good front cam, Good UI, normal processor+ nomral battery then go for ascend p7. otherwise if you want mediocre front cam, plastic body phone, good processor and battery then go for samsung S4. By the way ascend p7 standy battery timing is very good, like more than 1 day... but while using 3G continuous it survives about 7hrs only... but on Wifi it can survives a day

I'm using a 16GB Sandisk Extreme microSD. Works great. As for the charging, it would be rather idiotic if that was true. You can charge it just like any other phone. I have it and i've never turned it off to charge the battery.

I've been using Huawei Ascend P7 since last six months. At the same time, I have my Blackberry Q10 and iphone 5S but I must say Ascend P7 is the best. Large screen with nice resolution, the front and the rare camera is superb. The device is really fast and I didn't face any problem at all. It's a master piece and I simply love it. I bought this phone last month with the Arsenal Limited Edition. I like it so far. The front and back camera is performing superb. The audio receiver is very clear and has a clear speaker as well. In terms of the body, it's very durable and superior. The side design feels solid. It is only the screen brightness which I'm not comfortable with. Performance wise the s4 and p7 is more or less the same. Because I've used both. But design wise the p7 win. The front and back glass cover looks elegant and beautiful. The sides even though made of plastic it's coated with brushed metal, so it doesn't look cheap at all. So I recommend the p7

The P7 is a lovely phone, however it is also quite fragile. I had mine for 2 weeks and managed to accidently crack the back cover when it slipped onto a glass table. The thinness is sexy, but it makes the phone hard to pick up. Huawei should by default sell the phone with a cover :-(

I just bought the ascend p7. The design just captured me instantly. It's beautiful and elegant. the processing power is not as strong as other flagships out there. But it doesnt need to be. Because it's just a mid ranger. The real flagship this year is the ascend mate 7. So if you want great processing power and huge battery you can take the mate 7, but if you want elegance and class in your daily driver, take the ascend p7. You wont regret the design and build huawei has given.

I am a multi phone user and I LOVE to use p7. It is amazing phone. Looks, speed, camera, sound, I am really satisfied. I inserted a 64GB SD card, and saved important files in it. Gaming also is awesome. I installed a High tempered Glass screen protector to both front and back, then it is already as good as the sapphire edition. I have p7 international version. Its has very buggy emui 2.3 version,bluetooth lags whit on my Ue bluetooth boombox whit this phone. Nexus 5 works fine whit same boombox. I hope soon p7 gets Emui 3.0 international version update. my last huawei phone. Overall very nice desing. Alson camera sofware is very bad slow yellow line on the side of the picture. That fixed when i install google camera software. And my camera lens was scratch straight out of the box. In future i hope better software and drivers quality on huawei phones. Don't why but: for 5 weeks, the battery of my new P7 was empty within 5h. It was also overheating. It was awful. Then, for clear reason, it suddenly got better and it's been perfect since. Battery life is normal: 2 or 3 days in standby mode - light usage. I had changed the SD card from 2 GB to 32 GB. Maybe that's the reason.

Well i have the huawei ascend p7, and it's a beautiful phone, but i have a problem with it. The phone has this beautyeffect you can turn on in the camera, which is fine, i dont care. The problem is that when i use snapchat the beautyeffect function is automatically turned on, and i dont want it on, i just want to take my photos without any kind of effects when i snap.. But you can't change the settings anywhere in snapchat, i dont know how to remove it.. A big cookie to anyone who can help me, it would really be appreciated, 'cause it annoys the @£$¤ out of me!

The back panel is made of gorilla glass 3,after three months of usage,I don't see any scratches on it I have the white version,the battery lasts for a full day of heavy usage with 4.5 hours screen on and the ram usage is pretty fine,I always have more than 800 mb free,but I close often the background running apps,and today I received the third update since I bought it ,is still on 4.4.2, I hope the battery life will be better.

dude, they're awesome!!!! Need to buy at least 5 more though! Programmed one of them to turn WiFi on/Mobile Data off when I get home and the other way around before I leave home. The sticker is on my house door. I stuck the other NFC sticker on my dashboard and programmed it to turn on Bluetooth and GPS when I get in the car, and the other way around when I leave my car. I used Trigger to double programm the stickers. Awesome technology...this NFC stuff :)

I bought this phone a couple of weeks ago and I've been testing it since then. My notes are: 1- First of all, it seems like the phone specs are depending on the model! I bought the L00 - which is the model that's available in China which supports dual sim card. This model doesn't have NFC enabled! Like what is mentioned in the specs here. So my advise, make sure to know exactly what you need, as if you want the NFC enabled phone and not the dual sim, you should go for the L01 2- The phone comes preloaded with some stupid Apps... If you are not savvy enough to root it and uninstall these apps... You'll just have to live with it. 3- One of the preloaded Apps is a somehow hacked facebook!! Even the build in antivirus on the phone detect it as a virus!!! My advise is either to avoid using it, or of course it will be better if you delete it. "Again all these notes are on the model available in China market... the L00" 4- The phone performance is really amazing... it's one of the best flagships for best price in market.

NFC is far advanced like bluetooth. You can use NFC in betweeb 02 devices enabled with NFC, just turn on NFC and just give a touch to the devices and you can transfer the data. Its amazing, the phone is awesome
