This phone usually fails to boot due to virus, whenever this happens do the folowing: 1. remove &then reinsert the battery 2. simultaneously press the power and the Vol+ keys for some time until a menu appears 3. Select reset phone using the vol up/down key 4. press enter (power key).the phone will reset and restart. Note all installed apps will be lost &hav to be reinstalled but data in the memory card will be intact hence the need to back up.

Even though your suggestion iro how to use HiSuite software might be 100% correct, I'm always inclined (on Android) to suggest someone either setup a new, or use an existing GMail account, put their contacts into that account, then sync it with the GMail app on their phone. That way, if/when they move to a different phone (manufacturer) in future, their contacts can "follow them" + easily sync to the GMail app on the new phone, again.

I have the Y300, so assuming it's the same/similar process. 1. Make sure you're on the screen you want the screenshot of. 2. Swipe down from the top of the screen to the bottom so you get menu headings displayed at the top. 3. Click on "More" 4. Press "Screenshot" The camera will take a screenshot of that screen you had it on ; you should find it by going to File Manager -> Images (the file path of which should be on the SD Card if you have one).

I think this is what you were referring to - found in Comments on the Y300: Find & click-on the Cell Broadcast app (should be an app on the phone already), then Settings (click the 3 horiz. stripes bottom right of phone) & within Channel configuration (final heading), untick MTN ZONE 50. De-selected everything else within that app as well, especially Vocal alert messages (unticked)& Alert reminder (Off). Then also consider : Settings - Manage Apps - scroll across to 'All' - then down to 'Cell broadcasts' - Disabled that app.

Well, i readed others opinions but i dont have those. My prob is that better phone be created for better performance, not design. Some apps lagging or even shut down app. and another thing that when moving app to SD then it should go 100% but not with bigger part of app cause remains even little part. and better we could remove some apps like "talk", "LKOS", parking car and more. some apps when killed still after some time reappears. good phone but better we be able sometimes concentrate on few apps.

I bought the phone Huawei Y200 in December 2012. I have bought it from Hobart Newtown Woolworth Supermarket at cost of $200. Now to my surprised the phone turned itself off and I can get it to open menu. Or to reset the phone. The shop can not help me as they do not return phones. However I am very disappointed with the outcome result of the phone not working for me. So I lose all my important contacts and folders with my important hospital photos. And important other photos it contained. I am so disappointed and I think to recommend this type phone to anyone else as they do not work and its hopeless.

I agree, it has been replaced 3 times, keeps wiping my sd card and stops me erasing it on either the phone or my PC in fact my PC cannot recognise the damaged cards, getting expensive, going to dump it. I am blaming the android system and GOOGLE the pest meddling with everything on the phone and the apps which take over. Stuff your smart spy phones I will stick to my old trusty NOKIA.

this is not a problem with the phone.if some one install too much softwares this will happen.i had the same experience.to resolve the problem remove the battery and put it back and press (both) volume high button (side line) and switch on button to hard reset.phone must be work with the default set up.

andriod.process.acore problem? Simply go to settings>privacy>restore factory settings. It erases internal memory data but gives you an option to backup everything on your SD card. This will fix your problem and you lose nothing. It works. Tell me if this works for u.

yes you can. Connect your phone to PC with USB cable and go to you device system Settings/wireless & network/tethering & portable hotspot then check/tick usb tethering.

you could install it manually. download these three files first. 1. googleservicesframework.apk 2. googleloginservice.apk 3. latest play store app First of, your device should be rooted. and you need to have ROOT EXPLORER (available on 1mobile download, google etc). After you have all these. Copy the three files with ROOT EXPLORER and go to /system/apps folder and paste the three files. After that reboot your phone and your Google Play Store will be installed and running.

Mine is junk. Ocassionally would connect to home wifi. Said excellent signal but rarely connected, then kept booting me. Thought what the heck. Did soft reset. Still didn't work. Did hard reset. Still don't work. Still can occasionally connect to home wifi, but don't matter really since it wont load any web pages or app store. Says no connection. cmon ppl dont talk shit before you check the internet...it is pretty simple to solve all the problems with this phone...on www.myhuawei.net you can find all solutions.After I installed custom rom on my ascend,ram booster,and overclocked CPU,I can install hundreds of applications if I want,and also,I can play all the cool games like Temple Run 2,Subway Surfer,Vector etc. and actually I havent found a single game yet that doesnt work.

The only problem with this phone is its ram and internal memory. Heavy games/apps tend to crash because of it, but the speed is quite good having a snapdragon chipset and adreno 200 gpu. Price is worth it.

Format it by using this procedure: Turn off your fone by pulling out the battery and insert it again when the fone is off. I have one which i purchased about a week ago. It seems to be a pretty cool phone....free games and whatnot. Sometimes though it will send a message and the person will never get it and vice versa...idk if its my service provider or the phone itself. Internal memory isn't great but if you get a memory card you should be good to go. You can personalize it just for you which also makes it pretty cool. It was great for the money seeing how an actual DROID is around 250 and that's just the phone. It lets me know if there is a virus threat or what is slowing down my 3g but that might be because my girls uncle is a computer engineer and he fixed our phones...either way its a good buy for a lower budget person. It wasn't a let down at all for us.

The phones alright except for the common problem of not being able to download apps without the memory space becoming full, no matter how big your SD card is. The camera is really clear and videoing isnt too bad. Sometimes i have a few problems with starting my phone, it wont get past the huawei symbol. It just keeps repeating. Bought this phone a week ago. Well it's quite good. For this price it's a miracle to get such device. Internal memory is good enough (~150-200 mb). Got a 8gb SD, downloaded many apps. Well all of them work fine almost without glitches (a few of them appeared, but it seems it was just app problem). I'm glad I got this phone. Dunno how did people find it to work slowly, have little internal memory or freeze.

Don't buy this phone if you plan to download lots of applications. The RAM is too low. Even if you buy an external Micro SD card, every app uses a certain portion of your RAM, which means once your RAM is gone, the free gigs on your SD card is useless - and this still applies even if you move all your apps to your external SD card from your internal memory. All your phone contacts automatically on your internal memory, same as your text messages - no option to switch this over. Good for teens with micro managing parents who want to minimize teen access to applications. Not good for adults who want access to facebook, bank, emails etc..

This phone is cool, i just got one and out of the box the phone will boot-up slow, but if you will check the settings it comes with a fast boot selection, a one awesome phone, with maybe millions of apps waiting for you to download. The thing that would make me give a minus on this phone is on its inboard memory. How can you install cool downloads when you only get a low inboard memory. And for a Phone like this? to root the Y200 you buy in Australia. works 100%. cant garuntee any other country, but this information is a mixture of badly translated instructions in a few different countries 1. turn off "fast boot" in "applications" menu in settings 2. turn on "USB debugging" in "Development" in "Applications " in settings download and put it on your root SD card directory download on a WINDOWS computer and unzip file into a new folder RUN THE INSTALL adb EXE FILE HAVE THE Rootv5.2.bat FILE from zip ready to run on computer turn off phone. remove battery for 5 seconds . now we will change to custom recovery mode. replace battery, plug in via usb to computer & hold "volume up" & power button on at same time until logo appears on screen release up vol & power button & then immediately press "volume down & power button & hold until logo freezes / stays on screen / doesnt progress beyond the logo (you may to continually hold power button and only swap between vol up & vol down as alternative) run the BAT file from the root zip file u extracted wait for 10 15 seconds, then press RETURN .... will say stuff, then pause press RETURN again, repeat once more. it should say finished (hopefully) (or similar) now u have mod recovery mode. make sure u copied the Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip file u downloaded above to the root directory of ur SD card. turn phone off. remove battery for 5 - 10 secs. replace battery. hold Volume up button & power button on for 15 seconds (or until a text menu appears) navigate menu with vol up & vol down keys , power button selects. select install zip file from sd card. select Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip . will run script for very short time & display success message. now your phone is rooted. recommend titanium backup for all software install, installs bloatware etc. if any system apps wont remove (gives error) BLOATWARE FREEZER should work. enjoy

If you want to move apps from intenal memory to sd cad all u have to do is open setting, applications, manage application after that click on the app u want to move NOTE : not all apps can be moved. So if the app can be moved the move to sd card tab can be used. Then click on it and the app is moving to sd card. Enjoy ya dei

Bought this phone as first android phone. Before used Nokia 6303c and Nokia N97 mini. Y200 fulfills almost all needs. It has great screen, smooth on using apps and internet, calling quality is more than great. But it really has some cons. First things first: messaging is a bit difficult because accuracy when pressing keypad is poor. Many mistakes are made, sometimes I spend really to many time correcting simple messages. After some time and even more some time you could find out how to press and press where you want but.. some time and experience must pass by.. Or you must have really small fingers, mine aren't small but neither big, but I already feel like messaging on Y200 is almost annoying and 'unwantable'. Earlier I thought it was annoying on N97mini touch pad screen, but now I feel that it is relief after Y200,. and in sake of full picture or full scale - messaging on 6303C is divine. I would advice to turn off TouchPal key pad in vertical mode, and leave it on landscape mode. RAM: Lack of internal memory makes it difficult to download new apps. Task Killer is necessity. Some apps are annoying because it runs in background all the time (this is Android issue of course). You always have only ~40Mb of memory. Some times less than 20Mb. So if you want to download an app size more than 20Mb it becomes impossible to do. You must take some actions to free up Mbs. Program manager integrated into Android helps to do it. As I am not heavy task runner so it is not problem to me. I knew what I am going to buy: that was - Wi-Fi, 3G, GPS, some level of multitasking and the screen. Those was my needs and the price was more than low. Advice: you must know what you really need. If you are photographer camera would be another disadvantage as it has only 3,2MPix, fixed focus. But I am not very strict on it because I have N97mini and Photo Cam, so ability occasionally to take an 3,2 million Pix image is more than enough for me, and I must admit that pictures of that camera are quite good, even in the dusk. If you are going to use many of offered apps, programs and games you should save your money for more expensive and RAM'er phone. And yet the best app for my 3 year old child to run very smoothly is Talking Ginger. Downloaded Angry Birds, first two or three levels ran very well, but then I deleted it, I am not gamer and the latter game wasn't so exciting. I Liked the sound quality even if most replies aren't good about it. I also like earphones, those are fine, minimalistic. It is said that battery can withstand only 1 or two days, but if you use it very often. But if you are like me - rarely using the phone intense, you could expect 3-4 days. I think even more if using Power saving mode. And the phone: it is quite well made. I mean its all from plastic which is solid, not cracking. I liked a lot the back cover. It sticks to the back of the phone very assuredly. And jaggy back cover makes the phone feel comfortable in palm. You shouldn't expect highest class plastic or metal in phone of such price range, but you feel that it was made with care for end-user, for us. In conclusion I feel happy about the purchase, although it has some weaknesses, but the price is his one of strongest points. If you know what you want - buy it, if you are unsure - don't buy it with closed eyes because it can be the cause of your frustration: research the market and make the right decision.

I was planning to buy the same but heard that it pauses game or crashes it. I dont know if the huawei tech knws abt this bug. the best is to wait for an update or you can bring into the huawei notice by mailing them :)

This phone is good for the price everythings fine except for one major thing when I try play games it lasts for 1-3 minutes untill it starts pausing through the game every 1-3mins does anyone know the problem an how to fix it?

pethatic internal memory and no one owing its claim and trying to satisfy me with bullshit. all is lie that ROM is 512 mb and no one taking its claim. its internal memory is not more than 20 mb, it gives low memory status and i am unable to receive any msg or save any contact after installing few apps. i will give it 2/10 due to memory issue even i have set default memory to sd card.

What age are you living in? The isn't "a good" brands anymore. There is products/models > reviews > if reviews are good buy/else look for something different. I have this phone, and it works great for its price (thus far). And I could even say, that in 2-5 years you won't even notice differences between phones (except the design part). Though, after 5-10 years we all probably be wearing some kind of glasses/lens(-es). p.s. talking about devices, not services, etc.

Yes, It;s support live wallpaper and doesn't have headphone. But you can use any headphone. I'm using nokia headphone and no problem at all :)

just bought tyh is phone few hours ago at ropbinsons mla. and the problem that i see is that it automaticall shuts off if it's idle for like 5 seconds then i have to restart it. is there any way that i could have it solved? also there sis no headset and casing intended for th is phone. all the other features, amazing!

Bootloop.... It happens when you flash a kernel, rom or zip files that isn't fully compatible with your phone. Maybe you are rooting your phone in a wrong way. Try those tutorials from a german site. Its good when you know how.

Hey..If u're a power user, i would not recommend this devise because it has only 265 RAM but there's an application that could transfer all ur apps to sdcard, no headset include inside the box, it has 800 mhz only..But since I have this devise and It's my first android phone, i would recomend this devise for beginner like me.. :-)

Whatever app u install will be installed in internal memory. after installation u can move it to sd card through app manager~downloaded apps~ click on the app and uninstall. Or else rooring should free up memory

Not recommend! Just use it for Whatsapp, Skype and facebook purpose and no game at all. It keep saying not enough internal memory. Moved all movable apps to sd card to save more memory but failed. 2 weeks later, it doesn't start only see the starting screen and it start again and again. remove the battery for half an hour and put it in and turn on but system is failed to start. Checked Hauwei support web site but helpless. Don't buy it! it's hopeless.

Menu > Settings > Applications > Preferred install location. And than choose, what suits you best. Though, some programs, only run from internal memory. Probably there is a way SD to act like internal. So if You know, tell me how. Have a great day

This phone is so WÖW! Here in Philippines,it's already announced and released.The only different from this spec list is that the battery is at 1,500mAh ratings. It's so affordable at Php 5,499 or $130.I just can't imagine a phone at that price w/ 3.5 IPS screen and decent Qualcomm MSM7225A chipset.The RAM is quite downer @ 256 MB. I'm willing to pay higher price to have at lease 512 MB RAM. But I need to read a review to check the quality. Another,It also features the 5 seconds to reboot from being off!just like the other Huawei phones.
