I love my mercury i don't have a problem with it and is a refurbish phone. I have done lot of hacking with it. And once i get tired of all the apps and viruses that we got from the internet i just do the factory reset and it gets just like new.

I just got my 2nd defective mercury just yesterday. Ready to throw it through a window! What a POS! can only get 2 replacements under warrenty in a year. Well, I sure hope my phone subscriber makes this right! Every other time I try to access my photos, I literally have to RESET MY PHONE! The 1st warrenty replacement was due to the flash turning itself on & staying on until the battery was removed. Only problem with that, was as soon as the battery made contact with the phone, the flash turned BACK ON! can you say FIRE HAZARD? My carrier is not open tomorrow, they BETTER. Make this right on Monday, or who knows what will happen! Complete B.S.! I have gone through two of these DEFECTIVE phones in 6 months! Come on HUAWEI, make this RIGHT!

I bought this phone Christmas 2011 right when it came out and after a while it had software problems. In Aug 2012 I received a text that the manufacturer was recalling the originals. Mine was replaced for free(although the battery was not replaced). Since it was replaced in august 2012 it has been awesome. This is the best phone I've had. You have the option to turn off data when you're not using it, the option of "power saving mode" which also turns off background data. The battery life is good when that is enabled. There is a built in task manager like on PC computers so you can see and kill tasks that are running. The size is great. Setting the wallpaper is a bit more tricky than other phones. The 8MP camera is awesome and the camera has flash. This phone's specs are comparable to the Iphone 5 (but doesnt need stupid itunes updates every month) as far as i can tell. I love it and would definitely recommend it.

I had the same thing happen and then it fixed itself. A few days later, the same thing happened. Luckily, it is within the 1 year warranty because I have one on the way already. It has happened twicei n the past week, so it's time to solve the problem

I absolutely love this phone! I bought it when it first came out and have not found another one as good. I've dropped it in the water twice now (SUBMERGED)..and it still works just fine. Takes excellent pictures. My only complaint would be that it doesnt offer screen shot capability. Otherwise an absolutely great phone!

yes, not to be mean but that was a dumb question to ask. instagram is very low maintainence app. my current phone is a very very low end android phone with a 600mhz processor, which is less than half the mercury's processing speed and I can get instagram. So, yes it can.

this phone is awesome! use modo player and it plays everything DivX xvid avi mpg4 and mp4 . doesn't freeze up with heavy video load, replaced the sd card with 32 GB card since i don't use music mauve comes pre loaded with Pandora and free WiFi next door . camera is great , not alot of bloat ware, only con is headphone jack broke after 1 month of use . and u have to shut down when u lose internet to get it back

This phone died on me, the phone later on heated up when I tried charging it. The flash light blinks but doesnt seem to turn on. I had this phone in very good condition. I dont know why this happened out of nowhere .

I dont likemy mercury,it was fine the way it was then i updated it,and it changed to that stupid muve music, if i wanted a muve music, i would have bought one, now cricket says theres nothing they can do about it, and once you update it,you cant take that update off. that, and i cant send videos at all, this phone sucks.

My friend had the same exact issue and resetting to factory didn't do anything, he took it back to cricket and they tried doing it by software, and they also tried it by holding volume up and power. Neither method would reset the phone back to factory, nor would it delete anything He ended up having to take the phone back and have it replaced.

The only issue I have with this phone is the web browser, I have already factory reset it due to this issue, it worked fine for a while then it went back to taking forever to load the browser (it only does it on first load, and when switching apps). It also sometimes causes the launcher to show no icons with a loading screen that lasts up to a minute then goes back to normal. Also when switching back to the browser the page I was on will sometimes revert to another page that I use to have open in another window (that was closed). The blank loading seems to get worse with each bookmark I add.

i have owned the m886 for about 3 months now ... was great until recently, yup battery troubles... it lasts forever but once it dies i cannot get it to power on, the only thing that works is (laugh, whatever) just dabbin my tongue on the lil conductors on the battery, gives it the spark it needs to register, that its there i guess... i wanna get a new one seeing its only a few months old .. but it seems like all of them have that problem.... FACTORY RECALL PLOX?

ok factory reset well speed browser up, worked for me. Also i couldn't send mms on wi fi. Works fine on 3g. Good luck

No my browser hasn't had that issue , sorry I don't know how to resolve it maybe close apps that are still running using task manager that's what I do and browser and apps run fine

I have been having browser issues. It will load the browser but if I close the browser and open another app then go back to the browser it takes 20-30 for the browser to even start loading. Its very aggravating. Anyone having the same issues?

I have been having issues lately with the phone. Can anyone help me out? I keep getting this message on the phone that says sorry app SNS (process. Huawei.sns) has stopped unexpectedly try again. I also get App Huawei launcher in process com.huawei launcher 3 is not responding. Also, all of a sudden I am having trouble sending long texts and pictures. Ok, I had some battery issues with this phone. However I downloaded easy battery and easy task killer and it kicked those issues. Aside from that it won't allow me to set up my email. Keeps saying unable to open server connection. Besides that I love it. Tons of room, great camera great! It can do abunch more. Fast efficient and I can do pretty much anything I want on it. Need to find a case for it though before it gets broke.

When this phone works, I love it. But two months after I bought it, the battery software stopped reading the battery as charged, and it wouldn't work. Now--less than a month after being given a replacement, last night I turned the phone off (fully charged, and immediately afterward, the phone would not turn on. NOTHING, NO RESPONSE. No lights of any kind come on. I am right now waiting for the store to open and find out what is the problem.

I had the accend and it was a good phone. Dropped it in water and got the zte score as a hold phone while on the waiting list for this one. It sucked to all hell. Had the mercury for a week and LOVE it. Fast great camera has flash do I can watch anything I want online. I love anime so that is a plus, this phone is on par with any phone companies android even better than a lot. Anyone looking for a hot phone has to look at this one

Very good Device, Have had the Ascend as well as the zte score and this one is far better than either one, 1.4g processor makes a huge difference as does the 8mp camera, clear pics with either front or rear facing cameras. battery life is on par with all phone like this, I am able to play music all night and still have 50% battery left in the morning. one of the best phones i have ever had.

So...the device is just short of iPhone. Many people who pick my up are confused thinking at first its an iPhone. Resolution and backlight is good. Camera shoots front and back though back has no flash and reduced megapix. Does store captures in HDR if interested. VPN actually works. Tethering if an supports it works really well even at 3G. Wireless is "N" CLASS yet I'm at best connecting at about 130 mbps. As with any with this version...the browser cache needs to be flushed every few days. GPS is as quick or quicker than most. However....microphone will get confused and about 3 times now required a settings reset to restore the Mic to where other party can hear you.

This phone is p.o.s. ive had it for a month and it will not hold a charge. I have tried everything , new battery, new charger, taking the battery out while its still on, plugging in the charger without the battery. Nothing works! I feel completely ripped off by cricket and Huawei. I have been on other forums and this is apparently a common problem with Huawei products.

This phone was designed to rival the evo and evo shift and considering all of its features are better than the evo shift and is only .1ghz slower than the droid razr minus the dual core cpu, i think people should give huawei some slack cause they're movin up. Check out the new huawei ascend p1, its gonna be one of the best droids on the market and is faster than the razr.

Bought it...switched from verizon to cricket...dropped the phone, holds up well (has double casing though)...love the phone!!! cricket now has $70 discount on websight (may require qualification)...bought mine at reg price...I recommend phone
