The lack of updates is really unacceptable for such a device, especially when you see other companies like Samsung giving 2 major updates to low end devices like the J series with much lower specs than the mate 10 lite. And it is even more annoying when Huawei support say that the hardware capabilities of the device are not sufficient for running Android 9, given that their other devices with less or the same ram and the same cpu are already running EMUI 9.1

  • This mean there is a problem in the connector on the motherboard.. Or the motherboard itself.. And in the 2 ways motherboard need replacement.. Mine had a problem with battery.. It get empty while the phone is off.. 20% every 2 hour.. Huawei center replaced battery and everything inside it except motherboard.. And.. Problem still.. I went again and they said we can't do anything.. In short they will not replace motherboard for free under warranty.. You should pay for it..

  • Hello There, In this case you have go back to the previous (Android Version) of your phone. If you've updated to a newer one, therefore you are facing these issues. You can follow this guide: to remove the newer (Android Version) you can install the previous one again. Hope it helps!

  • I'm afraid that Mate 10 lite won't be getting it at all and that's unforgivable! There are so many other phones that has Kirin 659 and those are getting Pie update.   • I have this phone about 10 months now and i could say it is one decent phone it is good in gaming i played NBA,FIFA,Asphalt 8,9 and i didn't occur any lag. Camera is decent i could say its not best but not too bad you can take good photos if you have good light. About social apps its smooth and any other app that i have is good . The battery is good i can get a full day of usage.

And in strong light it make some color on the photo that look like unnatural.. This was from the first day.. If u took a photo in sunlight it will look like it is drawn when u zoom in it.. Pubg was well but now it is bad.. Lagging a lot.. Even with gpu turbo.. It is not a good idea to play pubg.. Battery will get empty fast fast fast on pubg! Other apps work great.. Facebook and everything.. In short this phone is great for light usage.. Checking apps and browsing.. Not for gaming or camera at all..

  • I have purchased Bluedio TN2 bluetooth earphones with mic and Active Noise Cancellation. Earphones are worked fine with Huawei P20Pro and Iphone 8s, so the faulty earphone option is crossed out. Here what happens with Huawei Mate 10 Lite: Earphones and telephone connects and pairs successfully, after couple minutes I hear "Device disconnected, ready to pair" message from the earphones. When I turn off-turn on Bluetooth from the phone and connection restored (again only for couple minutes) When I turn off-turn on the earphones the connection is also restored (still only for couple minutes) If I use the phone, listening music, playing game etc. with the earphones, just before the connection is cut, the phone is behaving unresponsive. Is there anyone know how to overcome this annoying situation?

  • Make sure that you have a flat screen. I have this phone with bending screen at the edges. All screen savers that I used "three in four months" always has gap at the edges.

  • After update to oreo it is working nicely.. There is no problems with update.. Make sure that your update not get paused too much times, there is a chance to get bricked.If possible download the update continously.

  • You can so 1 thing clear cache follow simple steps Turn off your phone. Now press volume up and power button simuntansly, after a little vibrate left the power button and hold volume up button. You will see the android system settings you just select wipe cache perdition through volume up down keys and for selection press power button. Now select reboot and your phone will start normally. The Oreo update then the turbo update it does wonders when you play high resolution games. If you're not using a cover for the phone then the paint of the phone will be getting off with the passage of time. I'm not getting icon badges for Viber on the status bar, I can't expand messages from any apps wuen the phone is on the lockscreen, and the notification badges above their icons are still in their nougat variant and not like it is on oreo.   • It's a good phone though, but both back and front cameras are terribly bad. The phone's other disadvantage is the fact that it shares memory card slot with sim card slot. So, it is either you insert one sim card and a memory card or you insert both sim cards without a memory card.

Of course when you're not using the phone the screen light reduces after a few seconds and then turns off. Like in Samsung we have the option to restart with power and volume buttons when the screen doesn't responds. I just received newer Update RNLE 8.0.0.311 which I installed and mobile is now back to bombard performance better to earlier.   • this is my first huawei phone, i am using it for about six monts and i was using samsung for over 7 years before that.   • Hey there, Today I purchased a Mate 10 lite and I am very happy with it. To make your decision easier, let me quickly compare them. The internal specs are almost identical (i.e 4GB ram, 16MP camera, speed, software, etc...) but the real difference is in the hardware. P20 lite is encased in glass from the back and is surrounded by a metal frame which makes it more prestigious but it is the ultimate finger print magnet. Another reason why I chose the Mate 10 over the P20 is because if you drop the P20, you may risk damaging the front and back, but since the Mate 10 is made of aluminum, you won't be facing that problem. One thing that many people like about the P20 is its astonishing resemblance to the iPhone X. But the Mate 10 is great because it has a very elegant, unique look to it. Finally, the P20 and Mate 10 have almost identical battery lives, but the only thing I dislike about my Mate 10 is its very slow charging since it doesn't use a USB type C charger (which allows for fast-charging).   • Hi, I have a Honor 9i/mate 10 lite and I tried on a Huawei Mate 10 pro smart view case on, bit of a squeeze, but i just tried it on to see if I can get that side view feature when the flip cover is closed, as in P9, P10, Mate 9 pro, mate 10 pro, etc. This side window view feature seems to be unique to Huawei, and i was hoping to get it working on the mate 10 lite, but it does not seem to be working, is there any app that I can download or anything I missed out in the settings in order to activate this.   • People mostly complain on the battery life and charging speed/time. I have no issue on that and to be honest for me it is quite fast and okay. Not exceeding 2 hours ++ . it takes 1 hour and 45 minutes approximately to fully charge and I always charge it whenever it reaches 50%-55%.

  • Bought this smartphone 2 weeks ago ! Nd i wanted to tell u this phone is really good in all aspects. For normal nd average users this phone will proved absolute fine. realy good in terms of performance, ram management, battery timing, full view hd display with 407 ppi. RUN all the application smoothly without any lagging. yeah some features like fast charging and gyroscope missing but in this price range this phone is quite decent.

  • i have a mate 10 lite. phil. it goes like this... upper layer of the screen of the phone is wha you can see, the 2nd layer it must be none but i can see a like a shadow off all the applications that it must not be on that area. i do the hard factory reset and it's gone if the phone starts to get lag then the shadow of all the application will refelect into the screen again. what will i do so that it will not appear again. im not going to do again the hard factory reset. the reset factory settings in the phone is not gonna resolved the issue...

  • when you only use your phone you did not feel that image is overshrped. as you conect your phone to big display or you start to edit then it relizes that photos are much overshrped.. 2ndly i dont know about other devices. but almost all budget and mirrange huawei devices are same in term of oversharpening.

  • I have this phone. I can tell you some, 1st is the body, nice rounded edges feel nice to hold. Then fast fingerprint, full manual control in camera (need tripod for best results), knuckle gestures. Huawei histen audio and it can EXTEND wifi without additional software (wifi-bridge). At least some people might think about those. But not my current daily driver just because of poor low-light photos (without tripod) and so-so reflective display under sunlight. Still have it here though.

  • NO.ITS HIGHLIGHT IS CAMERA. the world first phone with dual rear and dual front cameras. perfomance is in addition. 2nd thing is that with each coming day technology becomes more advance and advanced. so may be recent glaxy s9+ carry no value or very less wroth after 2 years.

  • the new long term review, clearly proves this phone doesn't worth the money. the most important part of the phone is performance and this phone has failed, why would someone buy it?

  • yes it may happen. because of unrestricted app permission... phone reset can solve this. but beware while installing apps specially chek app permissions

  • yes . in camera section they are not yet perfact.. perfomance wise they did it well. frquent updates solve many app crash issues.. build is amaizing display is amaizing than chinese brands in same price tag.

  • HONOR 9 (NOT HONOR 9 LITE) is a great device it has best processor and rear cameras. but for the price to perfomance ratio honor 9 is not better. like honor 9 has 16/9 ratio.it is bit older device from last year july.. you can go for other options like nokia 7 plus which will soon avalible. even one plus. samsung a5 or a7a8 can be a good option. also if you only need good perfomance and cameras without caring about year or model than i will recomend you to go for lg v10 or v30 which suite. in your budjet. you can get v10 only kit in approx 16k to 20k in exllent condition. or 160us dollar to 20us dollar.

  • 1 i did not use honor 7x and honor 9 lite personally.. but according to gsm arena. comparison u can find that honor 7x and mate 10 lite are approx same devices.. just shape and logo difference..https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php­3?idPhone1=8880&idPhone2=8962&idPhone3=8­857 chek this link..however between honor 7x and honor 9 lite i will recomend 7x due to better display better rear camera and better battery with just 1000 to 1500 difference and also metallic build. 2 if you can wait i would recomend you to go for nokia 6 2018 model. hope camera will be better than 2017 model.. otherwise 2018 model is great device. but not 18/9 aspect ratio. nokia build is great even nokia 5 feels better in hand than a series of samsung.

  • Probably you have a problem with software.. Try to factory reset the phone because i found the camera in this phone is the best thing in it... My camera is very fast and i take great pictures with it.. Maybe in low light it is not best... My nexus 5x was greater in low light condition... But the focus and the camera app all are much better than my nexus 5x

  • i am from islmbad pakistan. i have this model huawei honor mate 10 lite in black colour.. it has some pros and cons. that i experienced in 3 month use.. pros.. 1 slim beautiful design 2 18:9 screen 3 4gb ram and good processing 4 almost no heat in normal use.. 5 rear camera is great. fron camera is too great but its bit tricky to capture great photo. 6 sharp camera and saturated colours cons..... 1 its display is good but not as much bright . even 22000 price tag nokia 5 display easily beat it in colour specially brighness. 2 it is metal body but the paint quality is cheap so you need to use cover and protector. 3 no informaton about front screen protection. is it gorilla or not. 4 according to me rear and back dual camera the 2nd sensor is almost useless. because it does not produce good bokeh effect look tooo artificial effect. 5 only single led flah.. it should at least dual led.. huwei y5ii which wroth 12000 pkr has dual camera flash but it has only single and it wroth 30000 pkr. thse were some pros and cons i noticed some things were sought of ok... 1 speakers were ok 2 batery almost ok. perfomance. is also fine. MY THOUGHTS. better than oppo and vivo or may be xioami, buy samsung and nokia has better display ..samsung has also good camera . price to perfomance ratio is 6/10. as of now some better choices can be.. nokia 6 2017 model huwei honor 7x samsung latest j5 j7 if you only need 18/9 ratio than xioami note 5 can be a goog choice..also huawei p smart.. thank you for reading.

  • Dumbest comment ever. I HAVE used the volume control, it's at maximum volume but - particularly on Bluetooth earphones, it's incredibly quiet. When I'm commuting I could often not hear the movie I was watching. If I install an Android "volume booster" app, or use wired headphones, then it's better though.

  • I have two opinions on this phone. On on the bright side, it's beautiful, ridiculously cheap, BEAUTIFUL large screen for watching Netflix on the train, dual SIM (or one SIM, and space for a large memory card) and it comes with 64Gb, plus - included in the box - it's own plastic case. Wow. It's beautiful to look at, and, most of the time, really nippy. But, just sometimes, it comes to a crawl... and I have barely 10 Android apps installed. But, the biggest complaint is its camera. I find it almost impossible to take a non-blurry selfie, particularly on nights out, and most other photos are equally miserable. And, on a recent night out, I often had to wait 10 seconds (seriously..) for the shutter button to appear on the screen, so I could actually take a photo. I've never had people mocking me about a 1-month-old phone which couldn't take photos, while they take out their 3 or 4 year old iPhones/Samsungs, and are instantly snapping away.... and most of my photos (particularly in poor light) are just dreadful. Fantastic phone, ridiculously good value-for-money, great battery, but it has a dreadful camera. I miss my Samsung S6.
