  • I bout the phone, its good, with long battery life, awesome performance, cool camera with 1080 vid and even slow mo, should be above $200, but the only problem is that it don't get updates to the EMUI, AND YOU CAN'T EVEN UPDATE THE ANDROID THROUGH THE SOFTWARE UPDATE, THAT'S THE ONLY THING SUCKS ABOUT IT

  • i love this phone. the two speakers it have make sound strong you can heart clearly when it is very noisy in the room. also you can put two sim cards and memory card and this great.

  • One problem is, the camera produces really poor pictures, in not very well lit scenes, the photos arr dark and grainy, if you use the flash, the photos result over illuminated, has a very bad memory management, continuosly lags and becomes unresponsive, sometimes has a delay in touch registering, it is a very bad device my wife has it since it came out, she still uses it just because she is not worried about all these issues

  • I would say that your SD card, unfortunately, is cheap. Right? Because cheaper and slower SD card speeds really affect the performance of the phone. Better buy a smaller storage, but faster read SD card next time like mine, SanDisk ultra 16 GB that reads up to 90 Mbps.

  • I had this phone last year 2017 on november. But I disposed it on March. I'm lucky to have it without any issue unlike some of who bought it. I never updated it since I bought it, this has superb battery, but it can only play nba2k18, mobile legends in medium settings, it heats and drops frame in high settings. It's camera is good, no problem whatsoever like some says here. But I wouldn't recommend this phone nowadays if it's doesn't cost below 140euro. In 180euro you can get newer phone with better specs.

  • I have one, Its a good phone but the new huawei Y9 and honor 7x are much better with a little bit more money but more specifications. So buy the new fullview display phones from Huawei are better.   • I bought new Huawei Y7 prime. But after using, I had bad experience of quick headache, and pain on ears. In 15 days they replaced by two new sets but problem remain same. It heats up and have health risk of jamming your brain. I guess no controlled radiations that night give a big loss in long run. I will not suggest to buy it.

However my problem with this phone is the camera which corrupts my pictures after i have taken some shots for a few hours.   • I have acquired the same phone last 02-26-2018, so far the device's performance is unmatched. I have downloaded almost all of my favorite apps and a launcher. I have downloaded games like Mobile legends, NBA 2k18, FIFA 2k18, Clash of clans, Clash royale, Rules of survival and some ISO games. I'm charging it once a day which is less hassle for me. Phone has no logs especially when I'm online on my favorite social media sites. Data is really fast. Device doesn't overheat easily. Its saves me more time. I can bring it with me anywhere on any occasion for its very handy. Its not that big without bringing my power bank. Audio and video streaming is perfect. I have couple of videos and songs downloaded on it too. I still have 15 GB left on my internal memory. I had couple of phones before this one like Oppo, Vivo, Samsung, Iphone, LG etc. But this one really satisfies me. I really cant ask for more. I'm even excited to upgrade it to Oreo version. The phone is really fast and user friendly. Its a monster machine. I would highly recommend for you guys to purchase the same brand. It has endless user experience.   • Just used for the first week and felt like smashing this phone into the floor. I'm not a gamer or power intensive user, but I do use this phone for work. Generally this phone lags and apps freezes despite RAM usage remain 1.6GB/3GB. The phone doesn't have a Gyroscope, so if you have plans on using any apps that needs this sensor like Google Camera for photosphere and panorama, please move on to another phone. Speaking of camera, super slow on stock camera and alternative cameras. Snaps approx. 3s after shutter is tapped. Such a sucky device from Huawei with apps freezing on and off. Perhaps they should have released this phone with an Android One rom instead of this childplay emui 5.1.

  • outstanding battery from my experience, since it used 720p resolution which for 5.5 iinch phone is more than good enough. in their build in battery manager, i only use low resolution power saving (the mild power saver), it keeps the running system only used 300-400 mb ram. compare to my brother j7+ and nubia m2 lite both have running 1.8gb-1.6gb ram for their system. keep in mind i even using their build in screen lock app who could change hd wallpaper everytime i open the phone, custom launcher and several social apps turn on. it gave me almost 1.5 day normal usage between social med and gaming. oh and one more thing, their build in phone manager is the best, cache cleaner, virus swiping and background app killer so you dont need to install third app cleaner.

  • Just press power button and volume down button at the same time. Or you can swipe down the top of screen( to show the menu where you toggle wifi,bluetooth etc on/off) and you will see "screenshot" there. Simply press it. You can also record the activities on your screen. Same as the second method and you will see the screen recording. Easy as that. Last feature in terms of screen capturing that I know is the "scrollshot" feature. Simply press power button key ang volume down key at the same time,and then at the lower right part of screen you will see the "scrollshot" option. It will scroll down autimatically and you just have to tap it when the screen reaches the part where you want it to end (mostly used when screen capturing lone messages) That's all I know:)

  • I have observed the same thing as well, apps all closed before I go to work or sleep, after fully charged, the next day my Y7 Prime is either at 96 or 95 percent, I checked it online and users said Huawei takes 5% of battery to prevent battery damage in case users will still use it even on low battery and not charging it before the battery is empty

  • My honest feedback about this phone. This phone's battery is nice, maybe because of its low resolution(but it's fine) and three power saving feature add the 4000mah. It can play the latest hd games at mid-high settings and has vulcan api, charge fast. This phone would be good for long term usage, especially when playing online games. I'm satisfied with it streaming and playing movies for a long period. You may uninstall and disable the bloatwares but those doesn't really affect the performance of y7. What's best with this phone really is the battery life.

  • Hi. Surely, you are refering to Huawei GR5 2016/2017. I only know the GR5 2015.

  • GR5 (Honor 6X) has a higher resolution screen, better audio and a choice of bigger memory. But Y7 Prime has the bigger battery and runs on a newer OS out of the box, apart from being more affordable. In terms of camera, my friend's GR5 has the dual lens setup, but she was very impressed with the quality of the pictures I took with my Y7 Prime. It's really up to you.

  • Huawei is a known brand and it is competent not like the other brand, try to think that Huawei Y7 Prime has Snapdragon 435 which support 4G LTE and it has a good gaming experience compare to other brand, all of other feature are good or better not the best but can satisfy you and the only disadvantage is the 720p display which is considerable and there is a reason behind it why it is 720P only, I guess for battery life but what ever reason it is still it was created as a balance feature for better usage and for the satisfaction of the user, it a good phone though

It came with a silicon case which is good for preserving the metal frame, but it's a bit slippery, so I attached a ring stent at the rear for extre security.   • Verify apn settings match that recommended by your carrier. It is also possible that the radio is not compliant with the faster bands that the Samsung may have been. I would definitely try the apn settings first. Make sure you get the correct ones because improper fields WILL render your phone useless. Also, remember to save after editing fields otherwise nothing will change. Good luck

  • I have used this phone for two weeks now and I must say that for a phone in its price range it is exemplary. It has a powerful battery that lasts for 2-4 days depending on how you use it. The cameras are great but work best in good lighting. It is fast, light, beautiful and has the latest technology. The only problem I have so far is that the Huawei phone configuration, doesn't allow one to synchronize your contacts from your Google account. Huawei has a provision for backing up your data using Huawei Back up and once you log into it, you can now save your contacts to your Google account but still you cannot synchronize them to get your old contacts. For you to retrieve them, there's a long explanation on Google, that anyone interested can check out. Generally, it is a good phone.

  • This phone would have been awesome for the price if the Snapdragon was 625, and the speed being 2.0 GHz. I would have had great battery life of about 110 h of endurance rating and a good performance to complement the price. And should be Full HD too.

  • Whats wrong with you....have you ever seen a phone with a HD and a Full HD display side by side...it's a huge difference...and this phone has a 5.5 inch screen...you can literally see the pixels....and yes if this phone was priced at half of what they are asking for then it would have been ok...but Snaodragon 435....seriously....how can you defend this phone????....

The ultra-high resolution screens in phones serve only as marketing tricks for comparing genital size - my phone is better as it has a higher resolution screen - really? Who needs that? If it is a 40"+ TV - alright, that's where the resolution really matters...

  • Generally speaking it is not bad, but as CPU it gives the impression that it will be relatively slow. It would be better if they used the SD625 at least. And the display could be at least a FHD. But finally everything will depends on the price tag
