Jolla Tablet - User Reviews

  • i searched all over the internet , couldnt find this h785 .... if anyone has one , or jolla i would like to buy

  • Received a Jolla tablet a few days ago, and been enjoying it a heck of a lot so far. Solid weight and feel, and not too bulky. Resolution wise it's very good, which helps as the covers for apps are the same size as the phone inch per inch. A lower resolution would have made making out the content on app covers tricky. Will be using it pretty heavily in the future, so if anyone has any user experience questions, throw a shoutout at wanecc on twitter and I'll do my best to answer.

  • Realise date was July 2015 as that time first devices has reached chosen customers who were in Developers Program, recruited from technical contributors into Sailfish OS itself, and also they were beta-testers for OS early realise. Then in December, after some deliveries had been executed, the production was hold as Chinese manufacturer started to sell tablets behind and out of Jolla's control/supervision on Chinese eBay called Taobao but before it some customers has become happy owners of Jolla classic already. Then they had to stop production as there were no raw parts for manufacturing. But IMHO they were afraid that Jolla was cheated by "somebody" who start sale in China beyond Jolla's official channels. But the date of release was not "cancelled" - that is not false and misleading info. Tablet was realised but manufacturing was not finished as planned. That is possible due to all displays were sold out because of purchases for monopolising the market, what mean that an unknown company buys every displays on the market and others can produce without displays. Just a competition trick.

  • the release date should probably be changed to cancelled

  • If you want an android variant with the same hardware, from the same supplyer, buy Tesla H785. Same hardware, just an KitKat under the hub...

  • If Jolla is going to release Tablet or Phablet : i think that it should come with high end feature inclusive of best camera too ( EX: 8MP - 12 MP ,OIS, F/2,2 ect...). Because nowaday many people focus on camera before buying smart device (easy to share photos) , they also use two mobile phones ( or one more tablet). . So the operating system plays an important role too..

  • ...or any other phone :)

  • Nice trolling! This is a tablet! Yes? Say after me: tablet! Lol

  • I have an Xperia z3 and it's a great PHONE. If I was in the market for a tablet this would suit me best as Samsung have followed apple in charging about $100 to $150 more than the value of the device and all there tablets over the last few years have not evolved spec wise. My previous phone was a symbian with REAL multitasking, something android and ios users just don't understand. That combined with a massive ecosystem from Android would make this an awesome device.

  • This is a great tablet design and features, I want it once it's launched.

  • Worng

  • i no. its better

  • Ignore the person above for comparing a phone to a tablet. A 4.6" to a 7.9" screen. Not to mention a completely different OS and ecosystem but even so, Jolla can still run Android Apps. Also the Jolla tablet is probably going to be a fraction of the price of a Xperia Z3. One is a phone, the other is a tablet.

  • doesn't compare to Sony Xperia Z3 compact .

  • Sailfish 2 looks good

  • Ordered mine today with phone.. Give this a go. Any tips?

  • Split Screen feature also unlocked! :)

  • Best OS don't need hardware restrictions. Example is linux Distros. And the main feature of the mobile os is multitasking. I couldn't able to do the perfect multitasking in android 4.4. SailfishOS accomplished main features also it can run android apps too. Still do you need android or SailfishOS?

  • "microSD, up to 128 GB"

  • The slowness of Android OS you talking is much dependent on the phone you using.....

  • Hope best for the Tablet Sailfish UI, hope it retains the transparency and provides much more in terms of features and customizations

  • if you look carefully you can see it cant support sim card

  • I love that they are people developing jolla, i hate the slow Android and the expensive IOS, so that's my tablet!

  • just 2G == common

  • Then dont buy It and stop complaining,no one force you to buy It

  • Jolla tablet. 99 percent likely that it will be open hardware. Thus gsm, etc. Software is the most open.

  • Intel is not open source, although they do participate in some projects. Linux can run on many architectures, including ARM.

  • Intel are open source propably that's why they choose them.

  • If it had phone and messaging capabilities, s805, 13/5mp cameras, wifi ac and more memory, I would have maybe thought about it, it's the right size to use a tablet phone.

  • It is under pregnant what will come god knows

  • By the way, Intel are a fail in the mobile space, they are losing money as they know they can't compete with Qualcomm. Give it up Intel, you're a loser.

  • wow, how exciting, back to sleep now, thought it was going to be something exciting. The Sony Z Ultra completely hammers this into the ground.

  • As of update 1.08 about 95% of Android apps i tried are at least working. Integration to sailfish notifications and other core ui parts still needs some polishing thou. My observation is games even run faster than on equaly spect native android devices!

  • Love you Jolla! Expecting it to soon arrive to India :)

  • Can it run all android apps? or selected only

  • Funding is near to 1 million USD, great numbers for Jolla;

  • "This is not a GSM device..." GSMArena says.

  • Preordered and contributed immediately as saw this. It is currently only option against Android and WP.

  • Powerfull tablet. Ilike this woderful desing.

  • I don´t think the camera is the key factor to consider in a tablet. And at 199$ is hard to beat. Let´s hope the screen is more than just its resolution and Salfish 2.0 delivers as a tablet OS (something iOS barely does) though.

  • Post from May 2015 I just bought this tablets, very satisfied with the performance.

  • :D u cant clearly see situation with 5mp camera :D :D this is a ipad & android slave :D

  • Can u remember dos, lol...

  • Great! :)

  • wow, Jolla raised the funding in just couple of hours!

  • go jolla go we fans are behind you, although am not a fan of tablets am still supporting u and waiting for your upcoming smartphone.

  • this is something "big" Jolla planed?
