Nokia 7110 - User Reviews

  • browser ???????????????????????????

  • I 'm getting this phone sometime this week. I've seen reviews of this phone, you just don't see phones like this anymore. It's almost as if everybody has forgotten the 90's. Smartphones today are simply clones and are just boring and without character.

  • I still have my original one and every now and then i get it out of the box plug the battery in and boot it up and this is on it's original charge from 10 year or more. they don't make them like they uses to.

  • Still using this phone to this date, purchased second hand in late 2000.

  • It was released in 1999.

  • Wait, when was this released???

  • I had this phone for a while and although it felt huge, it was my first foray into the world of 'WAP phones'!!! I was simply amazed that this phone could use the internet!!! Great phone and awesome green metallic like colour!!!

  • Received notification from network provider that they are taking their 2G network down March 2018. Not happy as 2G has been reliable and I am sceptical about 3G & 4G coverage in NZ.

  • The phone will be rendered useless by 20/20,all 2g networks will no longer be, that's Technology for you I'm afraid!

  • This was the one of the best phones I've ever had. It made you feel like a CEO even when I was a student. It made you feel like king and heads turn whenever flip out this awesomely beautiful and manly phone. I wish they can remake this thing like they did with the 3310.

  • Best

  • You can get them both on eBay and Amazon... Some are far cheaper than others mind you. Many second hand phone shops will also have a handset or two if you look hard enough!

  • i have one.good phone.a little big but good.

  • help me find and get this phone please!!!

  • very good

  • PIN: 3760 8147713 Greate phone

  • My first "smartphone" back in 2003. But mine was the TDMA version, called Nokia 7160...

  • Incorrect, sir. The term 'smartphone' was in use many years before the ability to access Wi-Fi came to the mobile phone. What defined this as a smartphone, was it's ability to access a limited form of the internet, via WAP (Wireless Access Protocols, if I remember correctly...) and have downloadable content. Though this was very limited, as I recall. Stuff like ringtones, as opposed to proper Applications. A true smartphone was considered to be able to download Apps, so i'm not sure if it would count as the first, but definitely more advanced than previous phones...

  • a smartphone is a phone that can connect to a wifi network. this is not a smart phone

  • This was my first mobile ever, that I bought and I still have it at home, as a souvenir. It works, no problem with that. Nice to find such good comments here.

  • the first smart phone ever!

  • Great phone, i remember when it was launched, it was in the beginning of the time when WAP was coming into reality, but never became a big thing. The scrollwheel was there for "browsing" news as you could download simple news text and such, the humble and simple begining of internet data to be widespread in the community. It was not the first phone with WAP but the first phone designed to use WAP with better ease. WAP tanked and was to expensive to use. But a solid phone never the less. The coolest feature of it was the springloaded tray Matrix style.. Although the original 8110 wasnt springloaded but modified to be one for The Matrix, this was the closest one to be as cool as Neo.

  • F*cking awesome phone, long stand-by battery life, strong, big screen, perfect desing, nice scroll-button. It's simple, it's Nokia. I recommend it to you ;)

  • I still have mine and I considered it as one of my Nokia collections after almost 14 years. Works perfectly till now and its my 1st phone next to Samsung. I'm sure retro phones will have a comeback soon!

  • I still have this phone . I didn't know it was some sort of a collectors item . I have three other old school Nokia phones . Will definitely check the model numbers of them all . I bought two of them while I was in Bahrain years ago . I remember playing "Snake" with one . The game had an interesting point-of-view where you are riding the snake & you go throughout the screen searching for food . My other Nokias never had that version of "Snake" . Interesting indeed .

  • Used it once in 99. Sold it. Just bought from a collector who has around 15 of it. All of them in very good condition. Am sooo happy.

  • Just buyed it from old person for 7.50euro, great condition. Good to have it in hands after so many years... I think it is most special phone ever for me.

  • This is one of my old collections (Purchasing Date 2000), and I still use this phone.

  • It was one of the greatest phones I had. That scroll it had was one of a kind feature. I really miss that phone.

  • Can you give me some more details regardint this? Thanks!

  • I got this phone today from an old person ho told me if I wan't it or he will throw it away ! And I said : Man are you crazy ?? This device made history at his time and is cool after so many years !! I have to say that the phone looks perfect not even a scrach after so many years and it has only 4 hours talk time ! I am using HTC One but this will be my secondary phone even do peoples will make fun of me ! But I DON'T CARE !!

  • My Fav mobile I wish to buy this again. I searched this mobile at many places to purchase but :( in vain. Golden days...I was hired as a Manager in the company and the owner gave me this mobile with new car and office keys. Wonderful days..

  • Only if this is a ATEX certified Phone the price will be very high 4x to iphone 5.

  • This phone was so impressive due tiits signal strangth and powerful battery. I still have the phone until now and it works perfectly for me aside from my iphone5.

  • It was announced in 1999. I got this phone as a gift from my dady. I Was so excited that time. Now i have iphone 5 but excitement is not so as the time of my first mobile experience in Nokia 7110. If that time were come again! Technology is now higher grade position but excitement is not same as before was.

  • If this time were come again! Though technology is now higher grade, that time was more excitement.

  • I had this one, love it. It was a phone and a half

  • It was announched in 1999(From Wikipedia)

  • My sister had this phone like in 2001 and that time it was like one of the best

  • WhaaaaaaaaaaaaT

  • This is my 2nd phone way back then...it was 2000 as a graduation gift...my first phone would be 5110 :) I still kept it.. :) now I'm using bbz10

  • Was my 1st ever phone. Loved it so much and still have not had the same excitement over a new phone since and I know have the Iphone 5!!

  • 100% Agree :)

  • A head turner during the gud old days when 'big' was beautiful. Had one sometime during 2003 or so. It was also used in the movie 'Swordfish' starring John Travolta.....

  • I remember just answering this phone back in the day with the button on the back and that click as the slider went down just felt like the coolest thing ever, and I know it might sound a bit naff to say it but I've never had a phone before or since that I looked forward so much to just answering and a lot of the time I'd just practice answering in the mirror to look as cool as possible when I clicked the slider down.

  • This phone was AWESOME!! One of Nokia's all time classics!

  • back to future baby! i'm getting one soon!

  • Nokia 7110 was announched in 1999

  • Amazing phone

  • my nokia 7110 only lasted 3 months and i paid for it dearly. =(

  • found this website, they sell brand new phone

  • oh this is my frist phone about 12 years age a dream and amazing phone...

  • I still use mine.

  • Had this phone about 11 years now and have it on a little stand on a shelf with other ornaments in my living room, because i just love this phone and think it's the best looking phone ever made.

  • i want this phone again

  • my first ever matrix cellphone. Dr umar shamsi.

  • Stylish, modern and expensive back then. Used to be my mum before she handed the phone to me. This is another good example of never want to die phone. It keeps on going and going!

  • the first ever Series40 phone. And now we have ashah 303 Touch and type with 1GHz processor. Nice history of S40.

  • you may not be aware, but the matrix was a trilogy..

  • I love this phone!

  • Nope.....in Matrix is 8110

  • This IS the phone in the Matrix

  • this looks like the phone in the matrix

  • It's terrific. I even still want to have one again. It's a classic. Coolest ever during that time.

  • A classic!

  • even i had one, and i liked it!

  • if you are to redo this phone take off the aerial,do something about the memory, call register, and da batrry, dankeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • ok ok. u may not blv it but wot all companies do is to add more features to ease work but virtually its about communication. This phone is truly good bt probably the memory is what it had by then

  • This was my first phone back in 2001, the navi roller was THE THING back then, the whole concept of the phone was really cool, and i still got mine, 10 years later he is in some drawer, just waiting for new battery :) A+

  • i remember this phone, it was used by Neo at the first matrix movie. hahaha.

  • This Nokia 7110 is a beauty. I owned one in 1999 and costs arount $300 dollars back then. is a pretty looking phone and is very commanding. I purchased another one in mid 2003. for about a hundred bucks on sale. and in 2008 I purchased another one for about a hundred bucks still. Now, in 2010. guess how much is it to purchase a mint condition with box and etc? -----> $300 bucks. wow! still, I bought it. I love this phone. I fell in love with it since 1999. just simple but practical. I don't need all those etc features that the newer ones have. I just want looks, beauty, realiability, and practicality. It's features satisfies me well. I wish Nokia will make their old Nokia phones again but with color screens and modern features but looks their vintage one like the 5110 to the 9210 series. those league of phones were so pretty until now. Today, all modern phones looks like iphone in different shapes and sizes. its a crap. the old ones has better design and looks. I don't like touch screen phones especially when they dont have a slide out keyboard because I can't feel a thing when typing. it sucks for a busy person. Go vintage nokias!

  • how much? i have a 7110 but the casing is already destroyed, do you have a casing for this?

  • I have 3 pcs

  • Yesterday I buy this handset. Not refurbish but 100% original stuff. Every function still OK. The casing colour for me it's good to look. it can be change to three colour if I see from different angle. NICE HANDSET

  • I still have a battery for this phone, anyone wants to get it?

  • hey there steve how are u? do you still have the battery for nokia 7110? for how much in us$? thank you cheers

  • Its one of the best phones ever created by Nokia. It has a unique scroll button an infrared connectivity and huge amount of space for messages ang bunch of phone numbers I really miss this phone

  • Its one of the best phones ever created by Nokia. It has a unique scroll button an infrared connectivity and huge amount of space for messages ang bunch of phone numbers I relly miss this phone

  • my dream in high school... i try to find one to buy

  • I Have this phone nice and great features wayback 1999 and 2000 i will try to find a new battery for it

  • i have 2 pair and still working but the battery is out. a very good phone on that time.

  • my frickin old gigantic hulk phone.... waaaahhhh...i miss you old bud...you where my first ever fone.....=,)

  • One of the best Nokia phones ever made. A path-breaking model, probably the first WAP phone around. Was THE phone to be seen with in 99-00. I still have mine and it works fine a decade later.

  • I just found a Nokia 7110 in a rubbish bag and I am amazed because it is brand new, barely used, it's made in Finland, no scratches on the screen, like it just come out of the factory. It is absolutely amazing!!! I am charging it for the first time and it's working perfectly!

  • I bought this phone in 2000 and is still working fine. The best phone NOKIA ever made!

  • I had this phone in 2002. it was payed about 170 euros ( german marks was in that time about 300DM ) and it was soo cool...Best phone ever made by Nokia. Some guy stole it from me in 2006...i was soo sad...i love this phone...and i`m gonna buy him again just to have him :)))))

  • At the time this phone had one of the largest clearest displays. The microphone was connected via terminals gold plated terminals withing a sliding plastic moth piece. This made it possible for any dirt on the 2 tracks to disconnect your outgoing audio. You really had to look after this phone well,it had a rolling clickable bar in center that you would navigate menus with. Two people could even play a game via ir on it. It was featured on a blockbusting film and rushed out - some 7110's work better now! years later after proper attention to the sliding mic mechanism. The sliding feature looked cool but caused many of these to be returned on launch

  • my first ever phone still one of the best i have ever used

  • Greaat Phone ever. I'm still using this phone. Still Works good. one of my best collection including nokia 6210

  • i have got this phone second hand, with a good condition, this phone is great ....

  • izit this phone still in market.

  • My Best friend Still uses this fone in their house, like a family fone, and i can't believe it still works.. the fone looks like it was sooo ready to die. He wrap it up with Rubber bands to prevent the fone from falling apart, some series of masking tapes and some inserts of paper.. if you know what i mean.. the line of the fone is SUN cellular, I call him and we talk over the line for hours. and that fone is what he use. wow.

  • To the long time users: I read comments about the slider being kind of fragile and that it doesnt work properly anymore after a time, like it`s getting loose, breaks easily or, due to damaged or loose or dirty etc. contacts, one has trouble to answer phone calls?! Since I am tired of multimedia cells with software bugs I wanna get back to the old times with phones like this one, reliable and well-crafted. This slider prob is the only thing which is holding me back buying one instead of the mighty 6310i (which is three or four times more expensive - in new condition). So, any comments?

  • got 2 unlocked 7110 nokias and 2 900gsm 8110i matrix fones , style icons that still turn heads especially the spring loaded slider on the 7110 shame the 8110i never had the spring (special effects made a one off for The Matrix part 1) so cool Nokia made the 7110 to mimick it but more features, batteries are so cheap on ebay for 7110 and Amazon for 8110, i use mine daily and the auto flip Ericsson T28. sweet.

  • ihave 3 Nokia 7110 - it the best

  • sweeeet ;)

  • I purchased this phone when it was the hottest thing on the market for around 120 GBP + 12 Month contract + 110 insurance. Expensive? NO! It lasted 4 years till 2003ish, nothing has come close. So I just bought it again from ebay. You wouldn't believe the kudos you get from this. This is the true techie phone, the flick slide gets nerds rubber necking all over the gaff. When I show them WAP google via its 14400 isdn link they start stuttering and look down at their iphones in shame. lol.

  • that's good to know. i thought i was the freaky one, bought the same 7110 for 5 times. i still use it until now.

  • i like it alot, isss very big ju know

  • Very good phone, I still use it and bought it back 8 times. :-D

  • Hi I Have a genuine battery which will fit the 5110 6110 and 7110. You can buy it if you like. Email me on [email protected] if you are interested. Thanks Steve

  • I ever had this one... on year 2000, it's very cool stuff and I really enjoyed it. I hope there will be come out a same design like this one but built in new specification... I call it as "banana nokia"

  • i have one in very good condition. can't find a battery for it though, the old one's very weak already.

  • still use this oldy 7710....love it so much..

  • I have been trying for years to find a replacement un-used still in its box, why cant nokia do a "re-issue"

  • Love playing tennis in this phone

  • Just got one from ebay for 28.50 incl p&p.Totally worth it. Such a cool phone. Feel like Neo from the matrix lol. I was tired of my sharp 550sh as battery was always running down really quickly and it was a crappy phone in general. Nokia should make phones like the 7110 again.

  • Hey Tom, If your are buyin this please suggest that where it has available in india....i am also interested to buy this...........

  • I just got one from Hong Kong. paid 28. the greatest gsm I ever had. I used it until july 2001. I had to sell it the. My latest is N95, and I love it, but since this is such a cool and good gsm I decided to use it once again. 7110 is a definite old school bently jag mercedes. damn I love it

  • I remember this phone using contacts and a copper strip connection for the microphone... And how it always broke, lol.

  • I lave this telefone !!! Super telefone !!!

  • i had this fone in high school it was the a movie star the fone of the matrix era

  • Stylish but crappy.I remember trying to hold it in one piece with screws.Everything just fell apart.Rubish!

  • Cool phone! it helps me communicate with my girlfriend.i'll never ever forget this one.and this is a great website by the way.helps people who wanna have good (or bad) memory 'bout their phone hehehe.keep up the good work.Cheers

  • one of my most eye-catching phones. had good features & an unusual color. but quite bulky & pricey

  • Bosnyuk? Privet!

  • i had it when i was in 3rd year high...hahaha...asar ang slide nito!!!ahahaha...i was the first one to have in our school...they call it alien kase its a 7 liner display phone...pero kakamiss ang tennis...heheheh...

  • i had it when i was in 3rd year high...hahaha...asar ang slide nito!!!ahahaha...i was the first one to have in our school...they call it alien kase its a 7 liner display phone...pero kakamiss ang tennis...heheheh...

  • Aww. It's so cool everyone feels the same about it. It did make a statement in its time. Though everyone's concern that time was its ribbon, like the thing in the slider, but hey, it wasn't an issue at all. So long as the user's not as rowdy to the phone, eh? Nokia, create a new version of 7110 :-)

  • had this phone in university, agree, unforgettable. will buy the same with e-series functionality immediately. touchscreen not required :)

  • when i was in DLSU, my dad bought this for me for P15k. so cool. but i hate casinos.. they got from me. huhu

  • unforgettable.yes.had one in college.great phone.durable.stylish.ahead of its time.had mine modified though.changed the chasis to have the antenna removed.great phone, really.had it for about 2 years or so..=D

  • This mobile phone is unforgettable. Thank Nokia for this.

  • The best thing was the tennis game.. Keewwll...

  • i traded my guess watch for this mobile phone..also save up some of my allowance for this when i am still in college.. its really worth it.

  • My first ever mobile phone. The button slider is still great today.

  • it was my first phone,n i really enjoyed it a lot...ThAnKs to NOKIA

  • When I first got her,her apearance made a statement,The Nokia 7110,the ultimate phone at that time,it had class, style and could perform. It could store 1000 names with each name the ability to have 4 numbers and two lines of text,it had wap, predictive text, built in dictionary,infra-red,you can be in the heart of a nightclub and still have a conversation, with two microphone speakers, one on the flap and one on the phone. It had a loud ringer with a powerfull vibrating battery, and best of all, when answering a call, click the button on the back, which releases the flap, and talk, that should look so cool....when will nokia build a phone to this calliber again....

  • my first ever phone, had it since 2000 and still using it. had to change the screen on it after the original one blacked out. only recently been having problems with charging. it doesn't want to charge when connected to the charger so i have to take the battery out and put it into another 7110 i have to charge it lol. the loose battery issue turning off the phone was solved by putting a bit of paper folded up few times under the battery. slider now having a bit of problems in that it locks/unlocks the phone even with the slightest of touches. anyone know how to disable the slider having any role in the phones use such as locking or answering the phone etc?

  • i loved this phone! :D

  • Max, try to look for it in greenhills divisoria and etc or to the areas where there are so many cellphones. uhm, the 7110 right now is discontinued byy nokia but its really a good phone if you want text messaging and voice calls. the battery power is outstanding. its look and durability is good too. the available nokia 7110 right now is only a "reconditioned" model or models that are assembled in China. Just try to check the unit before you buy it. im sure you know how to look at a good one for you. and its gonna cost you about Php below 900 and not more than 1200. try to change the backlight so that you will have a better display of the screen. change it to white. its good.

  • still working. great phone

  • This was my second phone. The navy roller was by far the best phone-navigator that days, so ease-to-use. An unbreakable phone, never had problems with the sliding system. Movie trivia, this phone was NOT used in Matrix. This is the John Travolta used in SWORDFISH.

  • Agreed to all. This one is really fun and press button the cover will open. Also the jog dail is really fun to use! however I remembered my friend has it and the cover fly off when press the button due to wear and tear lol!

  • Standard large size Nokia, you should be able to buy one at just about any phone shop

  • Racket on this phone rules. I love my phone. Timmy Simmons. age 26 Exeter.

  • Please note everyone that this phone was NOT in the film, the martix. The phone in question was a 8110 with the same slide design of the 7110, where a button is pressed to automatically slide the front down. This phone was made for the film only and not available to buy. You can of course but either the 8110 or the 7110 as standard.

  • I have just got 1 but i'm not sure what charger to use as it didn't come with one. If anyone knows please tell me.

  • I've been using mine for about five years, until last month on the original battery. It had started to turn itself off occasionally though the scale indicated there should have been sufficient charge in the battery. A new battery fixed that, possibly because it is attached so much more firmly, after five years the original was quite loose. Wouldn't like to have to change to a new phone.

  • I've never had one but I find it as one of the most aesthetically pleasing phones ever made by any mobile phone manufacturer.

  • This is my first ever cellphone & it's a great one. Though it's big & heavy, but it's tough & reliable. I have been using it for (believe it or not) almost 7 years & no major issue encountered. Too bad many modern phones couldn't match its quality.

  • This is great phone ive had 3 and i never want another phone!! but this this handset was not in "The Matrix" the phone that did appear in the matrix was a nokia 8110.

  • this was my second phone ever, and i can tekk that it served me sell way wy back, it was TRINITY of the MATRIX's unit, see how GREAT this phone was, your like a HOT property when you click it to slide and then answer calls, like "HELLO ITS TRINITY"... but then again... Those were the days

  • I have the phone for a very long time. Its very reliable. Does someone now how much memory it has? In megabites?

  • WOW this was 2nd phone after havin a 3210 lol, this was the best non-colour fone eva made,i remember how wen u pressd the slide button how quickly it opend to reveal a beautiful keypad, and the beautiful screen it had,wat a walk down memory lane,nw i have a Sony Ericsson W900 strange how we wud hav neva thought we wud be so advanced so quickly, realy scary

  • just ordered a 7110,looking forward to using it again coolest phone ever made.

  • People from Nokia, please, please, please make another model like this. Best design ever.

  • Back then this phone was the height of "coolness"! Everyone who watched "The Matrix" wanted one. I sure did! Haha! --- Operator! Find me an exit! Fast!

  • I've searched everywhere for a picture of this "slide button" on the nokia 7110 but I just can't find any... But it does exist, correct?

  • i've started using this phone after getting rid of a panasonic vs6 ans formerly a sonyericsson k608. no more fancy fones for me. at least not for a while. i am enjoying the 7110 in all its retro glory. i've just ordered a li-ion battery pack for it because the standard battery just won't cut it. i think i'll be sticking to this nokia phone at least for a while. it is a great phone and after 5 years in use it still works as intended with even better signal and voice volume than my former vs6 and k608 used to have. i won't be spending my cash on fancy fones. back to the basics it's what it is. :) all you 7110 users out there: respeKt! :)) cheery-o!

  • I used to love my 7110 i was envied by everyone that i knew in fact some of my bought the 7110 after seeing mine we all love the push button slide especially the bullit like speed the slide opened with. Everthing about this phone was just cool. I wish nokia had made a 2nd version of it.. Scotty

  • i was in grade ten when my dad offered to switch phones. i exchanged my 5110 for his 7110. i was the most envied kid around. it was called "the matrix". loved the wap, leading example. greatest phone in it's time!

  • A friend of mine had this phone. It looked very impressive, especially because of its WAP capabilities, I think that this was the first phone to offer the WAP service, but im not sure.

  • I think this was my third phone. It looked great then again the scroller/slider and the antenna were a bit too easy to break. I love the alphabet function though. I think this is the first Nokia unit to have that one which is now common in Sony Ericsson phones.

  • Hmm, a most aesthetically pleasing handset which to this day still turns heads. I was particulally upset when my 7110 died however life goes on :p Long live '90s vogue styling!

  • realy it was 1 of the best fone i have ever used!!! works anywhere i never had any kind of reception problem vth dis fone, most of time my frends mobile stop geting signals at any paticular place but i can still make or rcv calls on dis mobile! realy it works anywhere !!!!! looks r very rich n everything is perfect on dis mobile

  • I really like this phone... this is my 3rd of my cellphone that I ever used. easy to use... I hope Nokia will create this phone again a new style with a complete specification (large memory/megapixels camera/true colours over than 262K/All sounds MP3/WAV/AAC/MPEG and all kind of pictures/or complete of conectivity system).

  • this is truly a legend!!! This phone is the breakthrough of WAP service.....

  • if not 4 this phone i would not have met my girlfriend..i have this phone 4 almost 6 years & i must say, this piece of the old school is very dependable, durable, handsome & coo..

  • Gonna buy it and then i will tell you how this phone goes... I just want a phone with good batery and nice antena, nice looks, and capacity :P This is the best...

  • I`ve had about 15 phones for now, and Ive never loved a phone like this one. The phone is very durable and looks handsome. I have bought N-gage, 5140i, Siemens ST60.. all rubbish.. THIS is the phone to be.. :-) The legend of 7110 will live on..!

  • i know how to fix it mate!!Get an up to date phone!!!!ha ha ha ha

  • I agree that is nice piece of engineering. However, I have this ohone for about 2 years and I still have no clue how to add 3 phone numbers to the same name. Help pls!

  • Since February 2000 this phone has been my constant companion. It has witnessed all my smiles and tears since then. Albeit an excellent piece of hardware, this phone has always made me stand out of the crowd -- everytime and everywhere. I've even seen people with Nokia N series phones giving me the green-eye all because of my good old trustworthy 7110. Sun or sand or shower -- I and my 7110 -- we survive everything.

  • I think that we must put this one in a museum a a a a.......

  • I must say I have used this fon for the last 2 yrs, however am having problems with the fon and sim card memories...once I switch to phone memory, a caller on my sim memory does not show...anyone ready to offer solution to this??

  • I'm sure there are hundreds of phones that are loads better than the nokia 7110, but this phone is truly an icon, It is my phone of choice by a country mile. it is by far the most outstanding phone i have ever used, to this very day i still use it.

  • this one was used in Operation Swordfish

  • Nah i think it was this one mate, ill ave to watch it again.

  • it was 8110 used in matrix im sure

  • HA ha ha its crazy to think that back in the day this phone was the dogs bollucks. They even used it in that film with keanu reeves.......thats it the matrix. ha ha ha,i bet they regret that choice now,it hasnt even got bluetooth!

  • I have Nokia 7110 since July 2000, it is still working fine though I dropped it twice and broke the antenna, I found it cost me less to make calls with this model than the newer ones, plus I start to hear the ringing tone quicker than new models, so I revert to using it rather my new Nokia phones.

  • This was the cult WAP phone. It was the phone to have at that time. You could see loads of people in the street using them. However, after about 6 months we never saw them again. Why? Well they fell apart and were not too well made. The ones my mates had just disintegrated after a while. Great looking phone, just not built tough enough. There are however, a few lucky ones still in existance.

  • This is my 2nd phone after I trade-in my nokia 3310 for this model. I love this phone very much because of the chameleon colour and the sliding keypad. Moreover, it is the 1st nokia cellphone with W@P technology. I sold it to get a nokia 8250 after 1 year of using it. The phone freeze almost everytime. Brought it to the Nokia service centre and they couldn't fix the problem. According to them, it is a common problem in most 7110.

  • will this phone ever be bettered??

  • its a very good phone i am buying this phone

  • i just bought it. it's 7110e. orange network. and i just bought the battries too.

  • My friend got 2 7110 handphones...as tough as brick...unfortunately one of the scrollers is broken...anyway,i enjoyed playing with the tennis game...cheers!

  • Very good phone.Very happy about it.Very sturdy and strong piece of engineering.Great features.Great looks.Sublime!!!Unfortunately i do not have a new original battery and i have damaged the phone motherboard with a screw dirver when i wanted to unscrew a bolt (i wanted to replace the cover).it is still working also it has signal problems and that is not all.My friend had a motorola and he smashed the phone on to the wall. After recovering it from the floor was stiil working.I sad my nokia can do that.I smashed it too. After that i pushed the power button and is still working.I wish a 6230 can do that but i'm afraid it can't.Unfortunately the nokia guys aren't manufacturing this kind of phones any more. Here on the readers opinion some one said an 7110i version should be released.I think not.I think it's a great phone and powerfull communicating tool. This is the way a phone should be.No camera no color display no memory card and so on.....

  • Well i have had 3 Nokia 7110's and i'm on my 3rd one and it is going very strong til today i bought 2 years ago...my first was bought in 2000 in London, then when i went on Holiday it dropped in the sink fullof water..then my second one died and i cudnt fix it. I have to say its a very good fone ...no new fone can compete with the durability of the 7110..These days fones are no longer made like the 7110...i salute nokia for creating the 7110..though they should release the 7110i with better features incorporated with the ones from theold one...Guys way do u say? If u wud like to get in touch with wat u think pls email me on [email protected] out

  • This is the onlyest nokia i have had. And im very happy with them. I have bought this phone 5years ago en it still going one. There is nothing broke or damaged. But the battery is bad now after 5 year working. Now i have bought a Samsung E630 because, for me, Nokia dont make nice phone's for me. I hope that i can also do 5 years with my new Samsung, but i dont think so. This is really good.

  • i used to have a sonyericsson t230 (which is a colorphone), until i had to downgrade to a 7110... downgrade? i realized the 7110 is a way,way better phone. even when compared to most color phones. i wish nokia would re-release classic models in color. imagine, 7110 in color, with camera, mp3 and everything in between! the best phone in the world gets even better...

  • Probably one of the best Nokia phones ever made. Going back to using my one after using a modern Nokia. Perfect call quality, fantastic huge screen. Ideal if you just want to use your mobile to call someone and not have a portable media device in your pocket.

  • Glad to know someone out there is still using this baby. I still use it till now too. Though I really hope I can buy new one soon, I must admit that 7110 is a very respectable phone. If not mistaken, it was the very first Nokia with WAP. And definitely it was one of the most sophisticated at its time (yr 1999). Huge 1000x3 phonebook, monstrous 200 SMS capacity, tough as nails,& I loooove the scroll button (pity that no other phone got scroll button)

  • My friend has this brick for a couple of years....It's very durable...And i used to play the tennis game a lot! :-p

  • I still use one of them! It`s OK for now, it was a masterpiece at its time. It`s made 07.2000 and it still works with no great problems. The 7110 phones have lots of software bugs and mine isn`t an exception. :) The funny thing is its bugs don`t bother the user very much. I`m fond of it.

  • HEEEELP. How can I move mesages from phone to computer?

  • i use to have a 7110 and i think it's very good i want to have it again please write me in this subject thank you

  • this is one of the best fones that nokia ever made, the memory is excellent both in the phonebook and sms storage. a true classic!

  • How you can store messages in this phone?? I do not have this phone, but I wanna to change it... Does it have memmory for messages??

  • i think this fone is cool 4 its age and has a cool design and is sadly a poor monophonic non colourscreen but is very diffucult 2 look 4 if i were u i would suggest lopoking 4 a more modern fone !!!

  • I need the User Manuel for Nokia 7110 Type-NSE-5

  • A phone ahead of its time for the mass market. Great display and memory.

  • Hello, the Nokia 7110 is strong gsm. Is better as some gms of the years 2004.

  • I have this phone since a year so i can say something. My model has only two weaknesses: 1. the navi roller sometimes does't work 2. the speaker is too silent so i can't hear the talking on the street. But Every other thing is perfect: big display with big letters, excellent keyboard with rubber keys, huge memory (i held 300 sms in my model, but my friends don't...). i painted the Nokia logo on back of the phone with silver paint so everybody knows what phone i use. Great thanks to Nokia for this phone, it has 4 years already an i don't want to change it. The newer phones doesn't have thar style.

  • Yes! I will also apreciate for Nokia company to develop new phones with navi roller because is very, very useful. Thanks for reading my note! And N.7110 IS A VERY GOOD PHONE!

  • I bought my 7110 second-hand over two and a half years ago and its still on its original battery. Its easy to use with one of the largest screens i`ve seen on a phone of this age. In my opinion there are only two bad points with the phone. Its easy to open the slider inadvertently- unlocking the keys whilst in transit, and secondly the ariel because its only this that dates the phone in my view. Otherwise an excellent phone which still has many features not found on newer models.

  • Your product IS THE BEST & Very dificult to looking for

  • Used to have one of these. Very nice design, but a bit large. The slider bit used to get a bit crackly after a while, but a spot of WD40 often fixed this. Great reversi & tennis games.

  • N7110 is one of the best phones ever. Its memory is bigger than ten most phones come out with these days. If Nokia came out with its successor, I would buy that very day. I am using it for 3 years, and had no problems with it. Battery still holds about 4 days, and the roller is in perfect condition. If you find somewhere a new 7110, let me know.

  • Nokia 7110 cell phone is the best, and difficult to find in the market, parts are not available too, I will appreciate, if Nokia remodify this product again.

  • I had 2 of those and still miss them.Nothing Ive had comes close to the versatility of the roller. I also enjoyed being able to list multiple phone numbers under one name. It was also the coolest looking phone I ever had. Im about to buy a 6600 and I hope it matches the 7110. Bad points it would freeze when using the internet sometimes, doesnt like the dust or moisture. If the roller ceases to work its usually a simple matter to remove cover and put the roller back in its recess.

  • I bought my first 7110 in August 2000 and am still going. It's not without its bugs, but the overall package still stands as an unbeatable unit in my opinion. The main winner of this phone (apart from what everyone else has mentioned!) is the roller. No other navigation system on the market (including joystick and d-pad) provides the ability to navigate multiple items with a single movement. Up/down arrows, joystick and d-pad all require multiple button actions to move multiple places, whereas the roller can move right through the menu with a single top-to-bottom scroll in one finger movement. This is what has kept me with this phone so long, and is the feature I will miss most of all when I leave the 7110 fold.

  • Hi, Brilliant phone! Selling my dads one. Almost brand new! Still has sticker on screen! Box, charger, book! Let me know if any1 wants 2 purchase! [email protected]

  • best phone i ever had

  • The best mobile phone ever done.

  • The best mobile phone ever done.

  • Looks like the phone from The Matrix!

  • i have two 7110 one that is 3 years old and another one that i baught nos the 30 january.they are not for sale.my 7110 has never broke down it is very reliable and awesome telephone.A useful tip for those who want a better autonomy when speaking buy the nokia 6210 and 6310 battery. The 7110 is still the best for me. Iwish it was triband then it would be the ultimate phone. It is still my fav one alongwith the 8110 that i will buy soon.I defend anyone to tell me that they have a phone with a 1000 names adress book memory. It is still a reference and it will still be arefernce in the reference.

  • I have this phone is a defective phone caused when the roller broke its hard to scroll

  • this is a verry verry good phone; let's see: good parts: well, i dont know wich one to start... it has a huge display (8 lines of text), it has that "navi-roller" key wich is just like the mouse scrool (up down and push), the silver ring around the screen is fully metalic, verry cool active flip (it has a key on the back of the phone, u push it, the flip goes down really fast -like in the matrix 1-) it has IRDA wich allows you to: edit/copy/synch phone book, edit/upload/download/send logos/startup logs/picture messages/ringtones and many more, it has a huge phone memory -> 1000 phone book entities, each with 6 phone numbers (work home mobile fax general office) and 3 texts (notes, email, postal adress), 350 sms memory wich can be stored in folders (inbox outbox + the ones u creade by your self) 10 missed/received/dialled calls, and for each number in this list u have the time and date of the last 5 calls of that number; profiles, 35 built in ringtones, vibration, calculator, clock alarm, games, advanced calendar (for each day u can make birthdate, meeting, or call notes, each with text and alarm); it has a wap browser (it's the first wap-enabled gsm phone); these are only the best of the best features of this phone, they are many more; bad parts: it's quite big so if u like key-chain phones, don't buy it:P, the flip is fragile, don't drop the phone on the floor with the flip opened! overall, this is a proffesional phone, really, it has many many features wich almost all phones from it's generation didnt even heard; and they are all in a single phone; also the active flip it's unique; i gave it 9 of 10 (and it isnt 10 because it's a little big, that's all)

  • we need manual book nokia 7110 thanks

  • If evryone want sale his/her 7110 ,please Call Me.

  • I see a lot of this phone on the 2nd hand shops... i never really liked it cuz you had to constantly slide it just to answer a call or message which could get annoying after a while.. i dont know why u guys like it ... seems to me there are a lot of other new phones with more features in it than this one..

  • this is one cool phone... the flip open when u click a button in the back... and it looks soooooooo cool. I sold mine whwn i needed some money.. now i regret it :(

  • It is a great phone that can store lots of numbers and messages. For my type of business it is reliable and trust worthy. I had one in 2000 then it dropped in water and it was gone but now i recently purchased one. I have admired this phone from the first time i saw it in The Matrix the first one. Ever since i had always wanted to get one now i have one. It is such a great phone. I think this is a one of kind phone and trhe best phone Nokia ever made.

  • I'm planning to get another phone soon, but I'm not going to sell my 7110. Nooo way.... :) Great phone. It has some problems, true, but than show me the phone who doesn't. It's difficult, because I can't get another phone for a decent amount of money, that has anything near the features and look of ol'7110. One word: classic.

  • my sister has been usin this phone for over 2 years..it is the MAN. seriously one of Nokia's finest. though recently the slider has been a little twitchy.

  • This is the supreme mobile. My pal's always ask me if it is for sale. The mobile IS SO COOL IT IS THE BEST OF NOKIA MOBILES.

  • I am very overwelmed with the features that are found on this exceptional phone and hope that some thing similer but with colour pictures can be manufactured please.

  • own ringtones

  • a lot of my friends asked me: "how much you will sell it?", and I just answered: "sorry, not for sale 'cause I love my 7110!"

  • If u want a Volvo, buy a 7110! Once u have a 7110 u will keep it. Woderfull phone.

  • i am interested to buy a nokia 7110 tel me how can we buy

  • well, the look is excelent, you feel like a bizman, but it has lots of software problems like: sometimes it doesn't vibrate, sometimes it blocks the screen and you have to pull out your battery or else it won't work. Sometimes it stops from ringing when the alarm rings. After a while the "clapeta" must be cleaned or else it will sometimes unblock the phone and you might phone someone without wanting it. I have it for almost a year and i want it to switch it with a 6210 THE REAL FUCKING PHONE (...after 6310i). If you have 70$, buy it 'cose it is worth buying it. See ya

  • cool !

  • What model is the Extended Battery, 1500 mAh, Li-Ion, 166 g ? Thanx

  • i love this mobile bec mobile phone book is very good & larg display

  • Yeah, I agree with every opinion. This phone is very cool and the price now is very cheap, too. The problem is no more new 7110 there is only a second hand.

  • Hi,I have a 7110 over one year.It's very good,i'm satisfact's my phone,it's very usualy,soo naice.It's soo cool to have a Nokia 7110,you fell to live.Go for it

  • I think I'll buy this phone right now!!!!

  • Memory...big display-its cool

  • I have 7110 and it's the best phone I'l ever had, and I had phones like Nokia 9110i, Ericsson R320, Panasonic GD75, Ericsson T65 and Nokia 3310. So, I guess, 7110 is a pretty good phone...

  • It's a very good phone for me. I think this one can satisfy anyone. I don't care about the size, because its functionality is more important. The receiver is very, very good. Size is not important...!!Nokia 7110 is very helpful--don't have to bring along your diary..and can keep 1000 numbers inside, and more, more contacts..The 7110 is one of the greatest phones in the world!!!

  • I've had this phone for over 2 years now. It recently had a software upgrade and now is even better than before. Looks are awesome, cool slider and lots of features make it almost a PDA. Size in this case, doesn't matter. And at night, blends magnificently with my cars' interior when on the Nokia car kit.

  • Hey guys! By just reading your comments about this phone, i think i know what to buy next. I've tried 5110, 3210, 3310 and still using 8210. But 8210 doesnt seem to be the phone for me. 7110, here i go!!!!!!!

  • very cool phone. >>.::matrix style::.

  • i used 7110 then im planning to change my cell because everytime someone txt me or call me it always appear in my cell only their number not the name where the number indicated. i used phone memory. but when i used simcard mem theres no problem at all. but if the phone memory have some bugs why is it every 7110 have the same problem like this..

  • Amazing phone. The only thing that you can blame is... no VOICE DIAL. WHY???? :( I wonder how can I get some more T9 languages?

  • This phone rocks ass, its big but packed full of features. If you want something to look the nuts with, buy this phone NOW!!

  • hi, 7110 is my phone and it is very friendly, especially the navi roller. i like it a lot. the bigger the better!

  • hi, 7110 is my phone and it is very friendly, especially the navi roller. i like it a lot.

  • Mine has just crashed and burned after 16 months of sterling use, I'm almost heart-broken and have ordered a second one despite its age. It is simply wonderful (especially the trekkie sliding cover) one day a I will be able to afford an 8910 (drool).

  • try to write a sms with a 7110 then try to say "it's a great phone"

  • It's hard to make a good phone (as a manufacturer),I could say that is imposible..but sometimes accidents happend and someone releses "the best phone ever". And until now ,the 7110 got the title. Why ? because 1. it's cheap(about 100 euros) and 2. it has everything (besides:color display, gprs, ems, videoconference>) for me is the perfect phone without mp3 player and fm radio. Anyway ,my top is: 1:siemens sl45i 2:nokia 5510 3:nokia 7110 I have a 7110 and I'm proud of it.take care guys, bye

  • The 7110 has got to be one of the greatest phone in the world (no joke) when your friends ask you for your mob number you pull out the phone and press the magic button its sooooooooooooooo cool

  • great & smart phone! but ...bigger than other.

  • I wonder why is this kind of good phone is no longer available in Asia;esp.Malaysia.?? I've searched the whole town but could not get one..!! Is it out of stock.?? This one is good and smart phone. I swear, you'll satisfied with it...7110.

  • i'm getting one today.(31/05/02)it's the best phone ever!!!it's got such amazing features amd it's one of a kind.i've never seen anything like it.(keep it up nokia!!!)you are number 1 in my heart!!! (thanks for reading) bye!!!(for now) please get back to me-if you wish. i'd love to hear from you guys!!!

  • The best mobile phone ever made!

  • This is very excelent phone..., I really proud of this phone, although it's big...

  • probably the best phone ever made

  • has anyone else noticed how crap the battery for this phone is? i've had mine just over a year and i need to charge it practically every day. i don't even use it that much for calls at the moment, just a few texts. grrrr.

  • I think it is the best Nokia ever made. It's little big (OK, it's because display) and heavy but i still love it

  • well,it is not just a phone,it is something more:the great collection of bugs!!!!!!!!!!FUCK U NOKIA :ppppppppppppp

  • Hi! I think this is an old, but very good phone. The language translates are not soo good, and it has got a lot of bugs, but the 6310 also gots a lot... :-) Bye-bye

  • used this phone for 6 months. Advantages - WAP, big screen and interesting design Diadvantages - Slow navigating through menus, buggy software, slide over keys is weakest kink since it can break easily off, slide to sensitive, security feature in WAP not functional, altogether a really crap phone, recommend the Ericson R380 if you want an old WAP phone. 5/10

  • Another Nokia milestone after nokia 5110! Big memory, user friendly menus with upgradable sofware. Rhinocheros!!! As though as nokia 5110 (but not the batterey). Nowadays...I wish it has polyphonic ring tone, picture messaging and GPRS beside the obsolete WAP.

  • Fantastic. Some mobiles have come and gone, but the 7110 is simply one of THE classic mobiles. Although i have now passed mine on, i fully enjoyed the 2 years use i had out of it. Its simply staggering phone memory (i defy anyone to tell me they have 1000 contact names!), excellent SMS storage, graet WAP access, distinctive sliding mouthpiece, excellent call quality, piece of piss to use T9 text messaging, brilliant and very useful calendar function, good selection of ringtones and a nice paint job. Ok it wasn't without its problems, but it was bombproof, would withstand a drunken night out including numerous trips into big puddles, dropped from my bedroom window (by accident of course!), and never once gave me any jip whatsoever. If Nokia could resurrect the 7110 in a smaller, more lightweight casing, whilst still offering the sliding mouthpiece and excellent features-they'd be onto a winner. As it stands its spirit lives on in the 62/6310. An absolute icon for the mobile age

  • Thanx for your solutions, but the problem was just a defective battery... So if you ever have that "Insert SIM card" problem, first thing to do is try another battery. Great phone. Get one :)

  • awesome !!!!

  • Been using my Nokia 7110 for just over a year and I can't fault it! Great phone.

  • Dear Sir/Madam, Please send me the detail wether the model 7110 nokia is outdated or if it's possible to get this in chennai - south india. bcse i would like to purchase it. thanks rgrds, Anthony. Chennai.

  • super ! dites moi combien a cote je paie en ligne

  • Super telefonce. Big screen, big memory, WAP browser, it can receive melodies, designed from strong materials, everything you need is stored in this phone. VERYYYYYYYYYYYY BEST!!!!!!!!

  • Very good.

  • I been using the 7110 for 2 years. A very robust phone. I dropped it several times (even on hard ground), still functioning well. However, battery cannot get full charge now. Hence, looking for a replacement now.

  • This is one of the best phones ever produced. Firmware 5.01 is extremely stable, I only had 2 lockups in a year. Massive memory, HUGE screen, cool spring-loaded slide, navi-roller, 150 SMS's in the phone, 660 calendar notes, WAP, games, 14400 bps, different batteries to choose from (I use it with the extended battery), changes color when you look at it, 4 games, infrared port, did I miss anything? What would have been great: voice dialling, SMTP&POP3 support

  • Nokia 7110, have no vibration in battery, vibration is built in telephon. I have one. Splendid phone. Dragan

  • best

  • OK

  • The Nokia 7110 is a Hardy phone. U still can use this phone even after a hard fall. I do have many experience on dropping on it and suprisinglly the phone is still working, but the antenna is loosen. Generally this Nokia 7110 is a phone for People who is usually on the road ( the roller funtions ) is the one that i use all of the time.

  • To [email protected]: maybe this solution will sound kind of primitive, butI have seen many other phones having the same problem; the thing is that you have to make the sim thicker, and the most used solution here is sticking adhesive tape layers on it's back. Still, don't make it too thick, it may bend the phone when replacing the battery. Luck.

  • best phone e v e r !!!!

  • Got the same "Insert sim card" problem. Seems that the sim card is a little too small to fit exactly in the socket, and when you snap open the cover, the shock sometimes moves the sim, and the phone disconnects from the network... pretty ugly. I changed the phone with another, and the problem it's still there, although much rarely. Could it be a design problem? If someone knows a fix (aside from glueing the simcard :), I would greatly appreciate if he shared it with me. Great phone, though. Love it.

  • this fone rocks the fat lady's ass big time to the tune of TWISTED! awesome fone book memory, large screen, crisp sound of the sliding cover when u click it open and the killer looks and also good reception and voice clarity. - i change, therefore I AM!!!!!

  • The phone is problematic. It switches off by itself or displays "insert SIM card".

  • how many recieved sms can the 7110 store?

  • Cel mai bun telefon care l-am avut pana acum... :)))))))....10x

  • this phone is a good job the best of comunication

  • Luv It!!!

  • The best mobile ever!!!!

  • just a great phone ı have everr used

  • Is a very nice phone Merci

  • Toooooo slowly mobile phone. Can i refresh his soft?

  • ok!

  • this phone is just 4 making and receiving calls! its so crap & simple & design and technology so old fashioned! a mitsubishi trium or ericsson is much much better!

  • absolutely amazing. i used this after using 3210,3310,8210,8850 sony z5 and panasonic gd92. this 1 is by far the best. doesnt weigh as much as it looks like. its a class apart. gr8 for "true" handfone users. Of course if u only wanna send/recv calls go for a mitsubishi trium ;)

  • Bernard: u help me call Kathy is mobile. I wait her icq and me talk!! TKS!! Sandy

  • Brilliant! I chose it in preference to the 6210 and 8210, in fact in preference to everything else because every feature plus large screen and largish keys and it doesn't get lost in my handbag!

  • I need to product nokia new.

  • I simply love this phone! I could get one those new 3310s or an 8210, but no other phone makes the impression this one does! The sliding cover's great, and the phone has all the features you could ask for (apart from a ringtone composer)! Buy one even if you're not going to use it, it'll be a collector's item!

  • I think the 7110 is as BIG as a hammer but nothing is as big as MY BIG BEEFY SONY BRICK!

  • ------------------------------ Wasn't me the one that wrote the previous comment. Some guy just loves my name.. :)) ------------------------------ And why do you hate it? I think it's kinda cool.

  • I hate it when Nokia comes with sliding cover.

  • (And the only one of its class - have you noticed that it is the only model starting with 7)

  • Great phone. Unlike any other Nokia (except the communicators) this one is really cool. Very functional. Cool design. I just love it!

  • Woo... ni la henpon tokeh ISS tu pakai. Canggih gak nampaknya. Cover dia, picit jer butang... zap, terus slide. Rasanya dia reti call jer, function lainnya... ntah!

  • great phone. cant get enough of the flick-cover, true poser's delight. nice roller function, incredible number and sms storage

  • That's a bit big, but I like the 7110. Yo no socero. Que tipo de abono hay?Que pasa?

  • one great phone, its like having a cellphone and a pda in one
