Kyocera DuraForce Pro 2 - User Reviews

  • Same happened to me I landed up resetting the whole factory issue. I thought all these security features were great. And I knew I constantly put in correct code. Yet now I opted to go for the simple code only and go slow when putting it in. Besides all that its a great phone

  • Is the Kyocera DuraForce Pro 2 VR capable?

  • Is the Kyocera DuraForce Pro 2 VR capable?

  • i spoke with verizon representative that told me the phone will be unlocked.

  • Believe it or not, this is actually my dream phone!

  • no

  • Will this work on ATT in the US?

  • Will this work with 3G and 4G in Europe ?

  • No MIMO as well.Havent seen where Blackview or Sonim specs affirm any MIMO as well.Heres an concept, update existing devices first prior to introducing new ones first ,no matter the carrier or manufacturer, that should be an legal mandate in this world of adding more garbage to the planet. All chargers should be mandated to be the same as well.

  • How the hell are you supposed to unlock a phone nowadays? It was a lot easier 10 years ago but now they made it really difficult!

  • Dosent matter if there is no verizon in your country you can use a local sim as long as your phone is unlocked and the bands are supported ;)

  • No that polite to call other people '' ignorant '' besides the fact alone that the phone will work with bands other than US ones does not change that you cant find one online in order to buy it also verizon does not ship world wide and even if they did CMDA isnt supported everywhere this means that you will have to pay Verizons plan a plan that in the end you cant use because all verizon phones come with a plan.

  • let me help you my dear foreigners and ignorant friends. good news. according to the aspects and verizon's page, this phone is global ready. that means that this phone should work in other countries around the world. it might not be 100% compatible but well. take your chances. it works with gsm carriers in the usa. peace.

  • Unfortunately there is no Verizon in my country (unsurprisingly) so yeah.

  • You can get one off eBay but there are none at the moment im looking so hard for one. ( i dont live in the US )

  • Consider yourself lucky, this phone has a 0% chance of ever being released in my country :(

  • I really hope an unlocked version of this phone will be available soon. I want to use AT&T/Cricket's network, not Verizon.

  • Hi! I was living in India for a few months and it looks like some more affordable, but much better rugged devices are available for purchase one Amazon and gearbest like Ulefone and Blackview rugged phones. Apparently they're usable in India as well! Hope you find something!

  • Hopefully an unlocked/ATT version comes out eventually

  • Is there an unlocked version of this? Or do they only sell these to Verizon?

  • Is it possible to get thid phone in Europe and be usable there or its only for the American market

  • i agree. verizon logo and cdma is not listed as a compatible network. are you kidding?

  • Please make your products available in Indian market. I would like to make a small suggestion make the screen super amoled like samsung and use at least snapdragon 660,670,710 or 845 with 12GB ram and more than 5000 mah battery power with very few preinstall apps if necessary (apps to be excluded should be google voice, maps, you tube, google drive and photos, hangouts, face-book, twitter, paytm and other payment app) In short just keep 4 to 5 useful apps at the most. Let the people decide what they want on their devices instead of all the junk that come pre-installed on most phones.

  • The images of this phone show the Verizon logo on the back yet CDMA isn't listed as a compatible network, was this a mistake?

  • I wish it had a better battery

  • Well thats a fine idea. I also hate curved screens also i dislike Samsung for their pricing and weak quality.

  • I had the original with the sapphire screen and it took a beating. I have an S9 now, my youngest daughter has my Duraforce Pro now. Honestly, I don't use half the stuff on the S9 and I hate the curved screen. I may very well go back and try the Pro2.

  • Under $400: Ulefone Armor 2, Doogee S60, Blackview BV7000/8000/9500 (all 3 are pretty great, and under $400). Hope this helps. :)

  • What rugged phone do you recommend, with better specs at a better price?

  • The Helio P23 is a good chip but topnotch I'd say is a stretch.

  • I had the original Pro 1 and loved that phone. I wish they would have made the screen a little bigger now that they took away the physical buttons. I have an S9 now but am eligible to swap phones in January. Depending on the reviews this phone is not out of the question. I hope the cameras are better with the new chipset. I would remove the nav bar and replace it with gestures to free up screen space. I loved the ability to remap the numerous buttons, and I really liked the finger scanner on the side.

  • It sucks that it's barely an upgrade to the first DuraForce... Definitely not worth the price when you can get better rugged phones for a lower price (with MUCH better specs than this as well). :P

  • Don't forget about Sonim and Ulefone, they have some pretty great rugged devices as well. Ulefone Armor 2 is a great rugged phone, looks really cool, too.

  • It's difficult to beat the Japanese when it comes to product quality and support. Kyocera possibly makes the best rugged phones in the world, and I would guess maybe Blackview comes 2nd place. I think Cat would place 3rd, but there are rumors their phones are just plastic garbage these days, like they're just cashing in on the brand name.

  • Camera and chipset much better than blackview

  • then get that Blackview and not this, crybeybi

  • Overpriced for what it is. The Blackview BV9500 is much better option than this Kyocera, it has a larger and better display and a 10'000mAh battery which lasts forever. And the hardware quality of Blackview rugged phones is top-notch.

  • It's a military grade rugged phone, it's not meant to be pretty. You want pretty ?, buy a flower.

  • Awesome phone hope the shappire glass is real not llike on Iphones where apple still claims its a shapphire glass when its certainly isnt. Zack Nelson aka Jerry Rig Everything proven that.

  • Almost a good dura-phone, but the battery is too small and it's missing an fm radio.

  • so ulgy looking!
