why can't I get my hotmail e-mail address set up. I have never hada problem with any other LG phone I have have had to set up my account. I have followed all the steps and always says failed. Initailly when I bought this without seeing reviews of this phone just by seeing its looks. But then after some time I realized that I made a blunder. Common problems faced so far after using it for 11 months: 1. Phone gets hanged frequently even without doing anything. 2. Processing speed is very slow 3. Touch screen is not very effective, you keep on touching the screen and sometimes it wont work. 4. Installing applications is a big problem. 5. Menus and back grounds have a dull look only black and while appearance. 6. Video shooting is very slow. capturing of frames per second is very less. 7. Looks bulky and weight is more which makes it unfortable for keepiing in pocket. 8. At first appearance, people will think that you are keeping a China made cheap mobile (LG logo is written at the back side which is always hidden in cover or by your palm while taling- you have to show people this logo when they say it is Cheap China mobile. 9. Wi-fi is weak compared to Nokia when nokia can catch signals it will fail i had this ecperince also. 10. Internet browsing is clumsy. In orkut you wont be able to see images. I hope above things are clear and I have no good reason to recomment you this. please dont buy this shit box.

Worst phone in the world .I hate it. can switch off itself. Was already fixed twice for only two month and as per customer service they downloaded some software.After that it work for some time properly till another problem appear .Battarey is not enough even for 3 hours and new one is not avaliable at all. The phone isnt really that bad.. Actually I love it. I had it for almost a year already. However there is this one problem thats annoying... the phone turns off by itself ! I HATE THAT. but overall, its a really goood phone. Really nice camera quality ! =)

Phone make this sound even in silent mode. It's really annoying and sometimes there are situations when it is forbidden for phones to make any sounds but my prada do it... great fone to start off with. brilliant typing for msg, sound quality great. however. with further use, fone began to switch off randomly with no reason, began to lag between functions even after deleting content. however i dismissed these negatives coz its such a great fone to have coz of using the QWERTY & its touch screen. BUT now, i think its dead, well in a coma, coz it is stuck on the PRADA START UP LOGO screen and wont move onto the main fone function. tried removing battery and restarting, but there seems to be no solution and i need a solution coz i still want to use it, but i think i may hav to buy a new fone. it hasnt even been a year yet perhaps 10 or 11 months using this fone,& now it cant be used. such a great product to fall short of........

In response to X1, htc touch, diamond, etc being much better phones, keep in mind they are twice the price! This is considered a "fashion phone" whereas those are full-on Windows OS machines and if you've ever had one, you'll know they run slowly after some time and usually have loads of applications you barely if ever use, like Excel...on a mobile phone,a re you kidding me? My sis Prada 2 has the common prob that every user faced which is auto turn off/on, and It often does not receive call for the first calling(faced by caller) but it seems normal to the user as nobody was calling..!!!! She bought it for RM3000/6000HKD/750USD.......And oBviously it does not worth buying it as an handphone, but anyway it worth it for PRADA, so for user who love branded stuff, just treat it like a PRADA handbag like it has no function at all, that wil make u more happier.....and worth buying it..hehe I personally am using S.E C905 and planning to buy either N97 or Samsung Omnia 2..wish me goodluck in buying a non regrettable product

I used to have a sidekick before I got this phone. I regret selling my sidekick for this phone! It's only good for like a week. 1) It starts shutting off out of no where so I paid like 20$ to get it fixed. 2) But it starts turning off again AND my camera doesn't work! It like freezes your screen,then you would have to like shut it off and turn it back on. AND because, I live in the US, this phone is an unlocked phone, 3) there are like simple things I can't even do, I can't edit my pictures OR EVEN rotate them. 4) It starts lagging when you type on keyboard & you can't run more that 2 applications at a time. 5) You can't change the screensaver, the pictures/files are like locked. & Trust me, the screen savers aren't that pretty to look at. I should have chosen a sony ericson phone over this, I can't wait till I get a new phone.

I love this phone! I've had it for a year and still love it. I have yet to find a phone that suits me better than this one. My only problem with it is that the buttons begin to fade and wear away as you type with them. Other than that, it is easy to use and very stylish. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I have an lg kf900 and as far as i can tell you can change the screen saver, my phone does not shut down or anything it's great, my camera is working great, both of them front and back and i can't really complain i just have to find out more about the themes, but so far it's a really good buy!!!!!!!!

Don't buy this phone, not worth it. The fact that you cannot change your screen saver, phone crash at least once every 3 days, need to pull out the battery to reset. When I want a use the camera I got a green screen saying fatal error 1/5 time. This phone just look fancy but it is not.

ray lu, yes it does have past season prada couture as screensavers. some are nice but some kinda creeps me out. my phone has switched off on its own a few times in recent months but hasn't happened recently. other things maybe u'd like to know.. sometimes, i accidentally call someone else when i'm using the phone. this never happened with my previous lg prada KE850. i think this is cos the lock button can be unlocked from the screen itself. that's handy yes but not so handy in this situation. another thing i don't really like is the T9 dictionary for texting. the previous lg prada had better T9 ie easier to use. which is why i mostly just use the qwerty but this leads to another problem.. when someone calls me when i'm using the qwerty and i answer, that person can hear me but i can't. i gotta go ask lg to check my phone.. last thing i'm quite annoyed about is.. the silver paint on my side keys are peeling off and my phone isn't a year old yet! the paint on the prada name on my previous lg prada kinda peeled but well in the second year of usage.. so i didn't really mind.. cos it was time for a new phone anyways. the prada name is still perfect in this one, just the side keys.

Owned the phone for (almost) a year now or to put it the other way, owned it the month it was released! Had no problems what-so-ever. It allows seven applications/multitasking simultaneously as per the user guide/manual, and from what I noticed there is a chance of restarting thereafter. This is what Ppl complain abt the phone being restarted; well it's only happend with me 10-15 times now in a year after learning that in the user's guide. It really depends on how you play with the phone. Yes, the ideal thing should be a firmware for upgrade to fix this bug, but the phone has the best specs out there in the market. Very few phones have this capability. They offer you more proprietory software than other phones in the market. Its really integrated and works cohesive. There is a end-user learning curve and adaptation. You feel the likes of it when you know how to use it and handle with care. This is one of the best phones I have owned. Compare the technical specs (G-sensor, multi-touch, DIVX software, flash technology, TV-out, i can go on...) just to begin with (don't forget the hardware specs such as LCD display, keyboard, video call and more) and you will adore it. Only disadvantages I can think of is no gps, and proprietory web browser is basic. Cheers!

other than the brand Prada stands up. this is the worst phone i ever owned throughout the past 10yrs. merely 2 weeks after i bought this phone, it gave me problems. this is a faulty phone. It switches off by itself. i sent to LG office for repair & it took me 3 weeks to get back the phone. yet a week after the repair, the same problems props up again. now i dont even bother to send back for the repair as i believe the company is unable to solve this problem. at first i was even thinking of getting the Crystal but now, i decided this shall be my one & only, first & last, LG phone. oh ya, regarding the screensavers, yes ugly, yet unable to remove or hide it.

I had the phone since the day it hit the market and love it. I just peeled off the protective film on the screen last week and it looks even better. I send lots of sms' and emails. I had to manually set the carrier setting but it works great. My unit sometimes resets itself but it's no big deal. Happens maybe once or twice a month. I would be happier if it came with better email app. What you get is a pretty simple email app (nothing fancy) but newer LG phones had it better. I also don't like the fact that my installed apps (Gmail, etc..) doesn't use wifi and only use 3G. Kinda silly eating into my kbs when I'm sitting in my office or home where I have plenty of wifi connections. Other than that I have been loving it. It really feels nice to hold and there are few other phones that get as much attention as this one.

Ok ive had this for about a month now but ive been tryin to trade it in for a nokia for about 2 weeks. i havent been successful cuz im not gettin my moneys worth and cant afford to pay more after the amount i spent for this fone. negatives: it freezes and resets on its own after doing just a few minimal tasks. it takes too long to go thru the options, not tooo long but just long enough to drive u crazy. the screensaver is set to prada clothin ads which arent exactly my favorite but i cant turn it off or change it. the touchscreen feature is just too slow to actually appreciate the "easy" smooth aspect of it. positives: it looks nice.its prada. as one other person said..ur really only gettin it for the name,but for practical usage its pretty limited.

I bought the LGKF900 in May, it completely went haywire after two weeks and had to be sent back for 2 (2!) months for repairs! it's been fairly stable since I got it back, but it does sometimes randomly shut down. When it's working well, it's a real treat to own; the interface is fun, it's sexy, people ooo and ahh over it and the mp3 player and FM radio make it a great travel buddy. Downsides are no IM and the browser is a bit wonky, but there are a ton of Java apps for it: I use eBuddy for AIM and Yahoo and the Opera Mini Browser. The provider I use is T-mobile (since AT&T were utterly baffled by it) with unlimited internet - it's kind of slow, but I use the wifi wherever I can. I had NO idea how to set up the network with T-mobile, but I had help from a fellow Kf900 owner and it turned out to be totally simple.

This thing sucks in so many ways that I'm not sure the awesome features balance out well enough. The theory rocks. I really like what they've tried to do. But with the drawbacks I've experience I want to bring it back to my cell provider and see if they'll cash it in for the Nokia 5800. I didn't like that fone then but I bet I'll like it now! Drawbacks: 1. The interface is slooow. When it fades or slides from one page to another, it sure looks nice, and I could stand to wait, if I didn't already wait a whole second for the effect to *start* after I touched the screen. It must take a second and a half from when you touch the screen for it to be ready to accept more input in the next screen. Many options in this phone are three or four menus deep, which makes it take a while to get *any*thing done. 2. Not enough system memory. I am *SO* serious! I'm not being picky here. Listening to music requires two applications (a file browser and the audio player application). Often, when I've chosen my music in the file browser, the audio player can't open because I reach the limit of open applications. This happens switching between the photo gallery and the image viewer as well, or switching between the contacts application and either the camera or the file browser (to choose/capture an image for a contact). All of these apps require its sister app to operate properly, and there's only enough memory for one app to operate... Good luck leaving the music playing in t he background and being allowed to do ANYTHING else! It claims 23MB of system memory, with approximately 10.5MB used by "Other". I've deleted/purged the phone of all java applications, music, and pictures, and that mysterious 10.5MB of the system memory continues to haunt me. Opening one application, like the music file browser, getting ready to listen to music, doesn't affect the memory in use very much at all, so i'm not sure memory is the problem at all in fact. Very annoying. WHAT is multitasking then? lol. 3. LG, can we get a new firmware soon? PLEASE :'( I've owned the phone a week and it's crashed at least four times. Once I was pressing fast-forward in the music app, and it just rebooted. Rebooting takes 60 seconds or more. twice I had just taken a photo and waited for it to appear on the screen, so I could choose to save it, delete it, send it... and I waited for fifteen minutes. No buttons responded; I finally had to take the battery out. The second time I waited about five minutes before taking the same action. The other time I was browsing photos in my gallery and it got a garbled screen, like TV static, and then just black. Had to power it up after that, it was off. 4. It's inconsistent. Lets say I reply to Alice's SMS. I'm in the middle of writing my reply, Bob sends me a note. I decide to send him a quick reply and get back to Alice's note. I hit Reply. I'm placed back at /Alice's/ reply, with Alice in the recipient box. fine, I guess it wants me to finish Alice's note. I do so, and hit Send. The next screen says Sending... Bob. What? Even though Alice is in the recipient box, *Bob* gets the letter?!? Ok lets try it again. Next time, I erase the contents of the recipient box, and *select* Alice specifically. Still says sending to *Bob*, but *Alice* gets the letter. What the heck?!? Why would I even bother using this thing to write to my friends if I can't predict what which friend is getting my notes? I suspect a new firmware could address my drawbacks. But do I wait for it, limping along? Or do I go down to the cell store and demand my contract annulled so I can try the Nokia 5800....

REASON: ok the reason that your phone restarts is because there is a unrecognized file on your phone that causes the phone to crash. SOLUTION: You can format your memory card, or delete all the files on the OTHERS folder in your memory card. It worked for me I also have the Prada II.

Just bought one last friday... and it works just fine in the states. However it doesnt have the right 3g bands for t-mobile so im stuck with edge, which is slower than hell. Touch screen, speakers, everything is awesome!! only complaint i have is that its one hell of a a fingerprint magnet and looks disgsting in direct sunlight... Oh and no youtube or videos over wifi=( anyways hope this helps.

We should create a petition and send it to LG about the lack of themes and the option to take off the screensaver. The screensaver is just plane ridiculous, if you buy a phone for 600 euros shouldn't you have the option to choose your own screensaver? And the black and white theme will of course get super boring after a while. This is not acceptable and with enough names perhaps LG would do something about it?

Deleting defualt pictures: Go yo [My Stuff] --> [Images] and open the first folder you see and delete them. If you want to put your picture for screen saver, move your pictures into this folder. Battery: I charge it overnight, use heavily during the day with 30 minute e-mail auto-retrieve and still has one bar (out of 3) left when I go to bed at night. But if I surf the web or connect to wifi, the battery will die before I go to bed. Should you or should you not buy this phone?: The phone does everything pretty well. The email app is not top of the notch neither is the browser and other functions like camera and video recording. But it made a lot of sense to me because it does almost everything well enough and the qwerty keys are very comfortable. I bang out emails all the time on it. I hate the doc viewer that comes with the phone because it sucks with pdf files. While I got the phone as my primary work phone (I must have qwerty keys), I had been pretty happy with it. Considered X1 but my friend's X1 got somewhat slow after awhile and I couldn't deal with that. If you think your phone is fake, I would just hook it up to the computer and try LG updater app. You can put in your imei or serial number in there. I assume if your phone is fake, the app wil reject it.

With WiFi, you just need to search the network and enter the password if it is secured and everything is good. For WAP, just enter the settings for your carrier. The phone makes sounds and vibrates when you touch it (both can be turned off).

Whoa...so after months and months of stalking this page for opinions and sites for prices of the phone I FINALLY got the phone. everybody DIES when they see it and always ask me if it is real (and i proudly show them the wallpaper photos to prove it) just as couple of things though... After THOROUGH (like 6 months thorough) market research, I have found that Phonesource, tims tech and mobile city have had the lowest prices since I started tracking. Phonesources & mobile city always had the lowest but the shipping may chagne that for you. also, phonesource has a sketchy history, so if your buying mobilecity and timstech are your best bet. I bought from timstech and it was pretty good, though they gave me a used micro SD card and a "useless" adapter, but its okay considering that they didnt have to include it (i wasnt impress about the card though). import gsm is also good as they have a one year warranty included in the price of their phone.you will need a screen protector so buy one when you buy your phone, protect your investment and keep it looking pretty! The phone itself is amazing, but it took sometime to get used to considering i upgraded from a motorola RZR. i looks really good and the case doesnt fit the entire phone, but it looks fashionable like thta. the features work very well, you can get some good apps for the phone (games, im, fb, twitter apps). the transition from the portrait view to the landscape is pretty quick, except for on the browser, where, when loading pages, the response lags. the wifi is excellent and you can search the internet for days with it. the browser is fine, but consider installing the tea shark app to make web browsing easier. it plays and takes videos really well and the camera has some crazy editing features that arent even included in the review here like a face beautifer. the flash is really nice and you can also use the video call cam to take self portraits. the gallery lags a bit at first but after it views the photos very easily and pinching is a pretty easy concept and the zooming isnt as unpredictable as this site says. i wouldnt throw my ipod away because the music player has problems because there is no standard jack, so you have to use the remote and plug ur normal headphones into the remote (or use the prada ones that were given with the phone). but this is Really cumbersome and everything gets tangled and nasty becuase of too many wires running about and this makes it hard to even change a song. and if you change a song using the remote, sometimes the screen just turns blue and the phone won't do anyhting until you remove the battery and restart it. this phone (at least mine) just really doenst like music, so i'd shy away from using it as an mp3 player too often. the interface for the mp3 is good and the now playing is displayed on 2 of the 3 home screens. and you can also set your fave mp3 as ur ringtone pretty easily and the txt msgs show the person, the time and you can customize their ringtones. the contacts list is pretty extensive as there are many field like numbers, aniverarys, bdays, and memos. the organizational tools and everything else is pretty handy dandy (i dont know about email yet as i havent felt the need to try it) and works exactly how it is shown in gsm's in-depth review. so just check the videos on youtube about its interface and looks also. if you like it, go for it, you wont regret it!! the design is good and it does its job really well, and everybody dies when they see it !! (and that my midnite review ^_^ enjoy)

just wondering if anyone has had the same experience as me and could help. i've had the phone for a few days and today the hard keys stopped working (ie. qwerty keypad, volume buttons, etc). i can only operate the phone by sliding out the keypad to unlock it and using the touchscreen. however the clear and call key are still lighting up. i've charged it, reset the phone settings and nothing has worked. i can't turn off the phone because the button doesn't work and i don't want to pull out the battery anyway as i think it won't turn back on and i don't have a spare phone to use. has anyone had the same problem?

Ok I got this fone two weeks now...and I must say, on a real i LOVE it, but from an unbiased point of view, my problems are that it is a BIT slow, and software malfunctions every now and again- blue screen comes outa nowhere twice thus far, fone jus sticks things like that. and battery dies REALLY fast, and scratches kinda easy... But all in all, i aint givin it up for nothin! lol

It still charges when connected to usb even when it's dead. When I tried that before. You can also use a charger although I'm not sure that's intuitive enough. If all fails, try cpr.

I never had problems with maximum number of appliations reached but I guess you can press the task key on the side and close all apps. SMS number not showing... hmm... I can think of two reasons. First, you have a duplicate of that person's number in your phone book. If I were you, I would just make sure that number is not put in twice. Or that person might have disabled having his/her number showing up on others' phone. So far I just really dig this phone. The scrolling is not as smooth as the iphone and I don't like the file viewer that much because some large PDF files can be quiet difficult to handle but other than that, I can't really find that many faults.

I'm not sure what you mean by it was blocked all the time. Maybe it was your telco's issues? I don't think it plays flv format files but you can play flash as it has a separate folder for flash files. I installed Gmail and Google maps on it from my computer as well skype. It's pretty loud, I think. I am not sure if it plays wmv. It comes with xvid converter so I guess if it doesn't play wmv, you can easily convert it (although time consuming) and play it on the phone.

I bought this phone yesterday and when I tried to edit one of the photos I took, it came up with a message that said "maximum limit of applications reached". Does anyone know what this means? I don't have any other apps open on the phone and the memory is fine as I haven't saved anything on it. Another weird thing is it won't show the name one of my contacts when they send me SMS. It just shows their number, even though I have them saved in my phonebook. Every other contact is fine except this one.

On skype's website, you won't find KF900 listed. I installed KE880 (?) and it works fine since it just utilized Java. However I have not tested it with wifi since I have unlimited data plan. The wallpaper you can easily change and I have a picture of the Central Park (NY). However I have not found a way to change the screen saver. I assume you just have to put pictures in the fold where they have Prada pics.

I have used it in the Philippines (Globe) when I went there on vacation last month. HPDSA did not work too well because the coverage was spotty especially in Boracay. I am not sure if you can use this in Japan (and Korea for that matter) as they use WCDMA. At least my Docomo and LG telecom do.

oh and one more way to get to you music: in one of the home screens, you can add music shortcut. Although I feel it still is a firmware update away from being right, I love this phone. I can't seem to like my gadget if it doesn't look visually appealing to me. The finger prints get annoying at times but it's worth the trouble for me. And one thing it does that none of my other phones could do (nokia, samsung, palm and SE) is that it allows me to keep my korean songs in its original korean title. I got mine in Italy so it doesn't have the full CJK input modes (but somehow it has Korean input) and allows me to browse CJK sites. Another weird thing it did was that when I used the phone in Dubai, the phone would restart itself sometimes when checking for new mail or accessing the sim menu. Somehow that doesn't happen with my European sims. So I am not sure if Dubai DU sims are not quiet compatible or if it's the phone that has issues. But it really didn't bother me too much.

1) Does it have weather widget like the one in LG Renoir? Nope. And there seem to be no downloadable widgets either. I hope they will add more widgets with future upgrades. 2) Does the battery last long? I use it as an mp3 player, have it hooked to hdpsa to check my mail every 15 minutes, use voice call pretty heavily and surf the web. And I never turn off my bluetooth. It will last two days. 3) Can i use music player while texting? Yep, you can play music in the background. Three ways to get your music going. Go through the menut (setting-> music), music player widget, and a summary screen (just tap the top part where you can see the status of connection, enable bluetooth and wifi and play music). If you play music in the backgroun, it will show the info right below the signal/battery life bars.

I got this phone because it has what I wanted. Qwerty keys, Languages, the looks, etc. I have hard time liking phones or gadgets that I don't find visually appealing. The phone is great except for the following: -Having hard time getting done anything by Wifi. I travel to some backwater countries like Philippines where they don't have unlimited data plans and charge the dickins out of you for anything other than sending sms. So in those countries, I rely on wifi for browsing and checking g-mail accounts. -The keyboard is nice but I wish keys were arranged better. @ and / can only be typed in if you press the symbol keys. -Ring tones that come with the phone are creepy. I guess that has something to do with the whole fashion thing (Samsung Armani phone had the similar creepy thing). -There is a limit of 300 messages (SMS+emails). In a country where average folks send 100+ sms, it's not very practical. -Not too many themse/apps are available. I guess this is a niche phone so I can't really expect too much. -Has a nice equalizer which the previous version did not have. -Memory setting is somewhat akward. Sometimes you have to go into each function and defind where to store things. All that said, I think I probably had a much easier time getting along with N97 when it comes out. But I still would not want to trade in this phone. And I would love it if they did a firmware update to allow Java apps to utilize wifi.

There is one additional step you have to do to get on AT&T internet, if I can remember what it is, I will post it. As for Wifi, don't know why it won't work. Mine worked as soon as I put in the security settings for my network at home.

I just got this phone and at first, it looks great. But as you use it, it appears to have a few bugs. I actually got a blue screen where the phone locked up and I had to pull the battery. Also, after sliding out the keypad and browsing online, it appears as if there is a short in the system and the phone restarts. It is still a nice phone but if these problems persist, I am going to throw it away.

I do have problem which the phone off by itself and the battery will drain from full to none when left it in standby mode overnight. the gsm version of lg kf900 supports hangul as well as chinese i believe but i think you need to make sure that the hsdpa support in lg kf900 is compatible in the hsdpa/cdma network there in south korea.

you really have to hack the phone in order for you to change the screensaver. the screensaver is a collection of photos from the prada fall/winter collection of 2008. nice pictures but i really wanna change them.

battery life on the fone is a good but as always if you spend hours on wifi wont last you long.. iv only had it a weeks and the last four days i just used it mainly for calling and texting with about half an hours worth of browsing in total... and it lasted me 4days... the keypad on this is so much easier then even the sony eric xperia and would defo beat the nlackberry curve..orange is conning you mate but they always do i picked one up on ebay for �280 so its up 2 u... None of the java applications on the phone can use WiFi. They can only use the cell phone network data connection ie GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA. So... Google Maps does work, Opera Mini does work and so on, but only via the cell phone network data connection.

to view YouTube you MUST specify a connectivity profile to use... Go into the Settings menu, then Connectivity, then scroll down to Streaming Settings and change Internet Profile from WiFi to your cell phone network and YouTube vids should work. I don't know why it gives you the option of using WiFi for streaming video, but I couldn't get it to stream video over WiFi and I read other reviews that state the phone was not designed to stream video over WiFi. Anyway, do the steps above and you should beable to stream YouTube vids.

I've had the X1 previously before I got the Prada II. Honestly the Prada II is much better for a couple of reasons. Firstly, the Xperia is longer which caused the keyboard to be longer and the keys to be further apart. The keys on the Xperia were also very hard to press. It is much easier to type on the Prada II using the keyboard. The other issue is that because of the longer screen, the buttons on the touch screen were much smaller and you almost ALWAYS had to use the stylus on the Xperia. Basically I find the Prada II a much better phone and lighter as well. The only downside so far is the battery life.

No, no and no. There are currently no plans for this phone to be released in the USA. However; the original LG Prada KE850 was never released in the USA either, but after the fanfare died down over the 1st Prada LG released 2 handsets that are just about the same as Prada I. About 8 months post Prada I's release the LG Dare VX9700(Verizon USA) was released About a year after Prada I the LG Vu CU920(AT&T USA)poped up There's even a Prada I like phone that was released with a REAL operating system, the LG Incite(AT&T USA) So just wait and you'll probably get the Prada II form factor from LG in the USA, but NOT the actual Prada branded phone.

I see for the LG KU990 Viewty a Programm with the Name "EFS Media Builder" . With this Programm you can change the System Files for The Viewty. With the KF900 Prada doesnt work. To: Hello I've too been looking for a way to change the catwalk pictures on the phone. I've discovered it loads the pictures from the built in Default Images folder of the phone. If you can changed the photos in the Default Images folder then you could customize the pictures. The point here is you CAN'T change anything in ANY of the Default folders of this phone or any other LG phone with out hacking it. I haven't found a program that will allow me to hack this phone yet. I gather that the whole Prada branding of the phone included these catwalk pictures and they don't want you to change this feature easily.

To: please help mee I didn't do anything special to get the email program to check my Gmail account via my data plan. But, you do have to manually change the access point in the email program. Go into Messaging, then Settings(at the bottom of the list), then Mailbox, then Email Accounts, then click on your email acct, and finally scroll down to Access Points and change it from WiFi to Rogers or whatever you've named your data plan access point. I have T-Mobile USA. I can check my email via T-Mobile as well as WiFi after manually changing the Access Point to use. If you've already done all that, then check to make sure that you can use the Rogers data plan to do other things like the browser. If it doesn't work for the browser either then the phone may not be set up correctly to use your Rogers data plan. Of course you'd need to manually change the Profile in the Browser to your Rogers plan first. Does your phone either lock-up or restart when you check your Gmail? How often did you set your phone to Auto Retrieve email?

I cant find an option for it to ask for a password when the key locks, but you can set it to ask for a pin when you turn the power on. It only takes about 10 seconds for the phone to power on, so you can keep turning it off/on to keep it secure.

Thanks for the suggestion to turn off BlueTooth. I very rarely use BlueTooth and I turn it on and off as I use it. I did find another option in the phone. "Power Save" is under the Main Menu, Settings, Phone Settings. By default it's turned off. I turned it on and the screen does dim after about 5 seconds of inactivity, then goes completely black after another 5 seconds. I turned it on and I've had all 3 of the power bars on for the 2 days.

Hi, I live in South Korea and there is no KF900 on our shelves. LG didnt' launched their new line-ups such as Incite, KF900 Prada, KP500 Cookie and KC910 Renoir. KF900 will launch within 3 months. However, even if KF900s are on our shelves, you won't be able to get something for European version because Korean version uses different software.

Well LG is a company out of Korea. I would assume all LG products support the Korean language, but to make sure I would suggest you visit LG's Korean website and see if you can find the LG KF900 Prada II on that website. www.lge.co.kr

This is my first touchscreen phone, so I dont know how it compares to other touchscreen phones as far as battery life. I will say this, the battery doesnt last long at all. If you're interested in comparing battery life, then simply read the specs on this GSMArena page. I've had my KF900 for a little over a week now. During heavy use, the phone seems to reboot quite often on it's own. It's locked up a few times and I've had to pull the battery to restart it. I think it might be caused by the native email client. I set it up to auto retrieve my Gmail every 15 minutes. I've removed the settings and will see if the phone still reboots on it's own. Has anyone else had a similar issue?

iphone touch screen is better than omnia. that's for certain.. omnia's touch screen is so much less sensitive than iphone's i phone touch screen will not respond to stylus pens. may i know prada's touch screen works in the same way as iphone or omnia?

Got this phone 2 days ago but cant figure out how to turn off the prada screen saver when the phone goes into stand by. Also is anyone else having issues loading the the PC Suite with Vista, and issues of freezing when bluetooth is on? Had to reboot(taking battery out) and restart the phone over 5 times when blue tooth was on.. Love the keys on the keypad.

i tried the kf 900 prada. the touchscreen was amazing very good software. it was fast and easy to use. even doing SMS in the touch screen was easy, no issues whatsoever. then, there's the wifi which connected very fast. i never understood why the first prada was expensive but this one, it deserves the price it has. great name nd quality.

just brought it..like it but compared to frd's omnia and touch pro, and iphone the touch screen isn't as good...pretty good camera...got it for 700 dollars...about 100 cheaper than touch pro and x1 but 100 more expensive than omnia...no os wish it did...wifi works pretty good compared to iphone...has doc viewer...LOVe the watch...some times has no signal when a SE does but not really a major issue...no lag YET...love the keyboard...makes email and txt msg wayyyy easier...to be honest compared with omnia, touch pro, iphone for style buy parada for touch screen but omnia for pure computing power buy htc touch pro after testing frd's omnia, iphone just doesn't cut it for me non touch screen buy bold don;t know any1 with x1 so can't say anything about that

Hi, i am feeling mixed about posting my experience. i dont want the sales to be affected at the same time or i could be the unlucky guy. after 3 days of the purchase, the phone went blank. the touch screen capability is not good, and it hangs and the slowness is quite evident. it is defn not a user friendly phone. the whole operating screen is black and white although the video is very fine and the colours are a treat to the eyes. batt life is very bad.

uhh your on GSM Arena, that means all these phones on this web site REQUIRE a Sim card. and T-mobile Runs on GSM as well, if you take the battery off the back of your phone, you should be able to see a SIM Card. unless you can prove me wrong and show me a GSM Phone that does not require a SIM card.

Network Name on Home Screen. You cannot remove the network name on the home screen of the Prada II. I know cause I can't find that option on here either. On the old LG Prada KE850, you just go into the Settings menu then click on Display and it's on the list. The new LG Prada KF900, doesn't have Display in the Settings menu. I thought it might be in ScreenSettings or PhoneSettings, but the option isn't in either one. So I think they removed the option on the Prada II.

I have one, and I don't find it slow. It's my 1st LG phone and there's a lot of confirming pop ups like when you delete messages or save changes of settings and such. BUT I would suggest checking out some YouTube videos of the phone. Go to YouTube and do a search for KF900 and see it in action for yourself.

I dont particuarly like the Prada because LG phones don't normally have keyboards, it's normally a touchscreen or buttons. Also it says the manufacture is Prada, and not LG anywhere on there. For the person who thinks the Sony Xperia is made by Sony ITS NOT! Its an HTC thats why their is no Sony memory option(TRansflash on this model) and non Sony Charger(its USB)Also, the quality control is horrible on the Xperia(I looked at atleast 5 and all of them either didnt have a screen that was flush to the casing or the battery cover was bent in the middle)...Anyways, I purchased this phone for around $650.00 US. wake up people, comparing the iphone to n95(or any other phone with similar capabilities) is comparing apples and oranges. iphone is probably the most user-friendly phone, as the interface is very fluid. some like the n95 is more detailed, in respect to technical capabilities. iphone is so convenient to the american market, because we are locked-in to itunes ipods and related software and hardware. im in greece studyin and ive been trying to sell a 1st gen iphone, and no1 wants it! 5mp cam fones have been in european markets for a while now, would they downgrade to something which doesnt have proper bluetooth capabilities, 3.5 headfones, autofocus, etc??

I don't think this Next Generation prada phone by LG will use OS like Symbian or WIndows mobile. Maybe it will use normal LG stuff that can only use JAVA applications.

My korean sources tell me LG's scheduled release date is Nov!! (which is NOW!) I can't wait. LG has done a very good job of keeping details of this phone a secret, hence nobody knows anything about this phone. But I suspect it will run Windows Mobile 6.5 don't you guys think??? That's only the downside of it (as I've said before, I am a fan of WinMo, but WinMo 7 is due early 2009, with all touch screen UI...Bad time to release PRADA II with an OS that will be out dated in few months time?) I don't know.

Well...this phone looks pretty good... I prefer Windows OS compared to Symbian...(it handles more like your PC). This phone better be equiped with bigger battery when it releases.... Processor better be really fast aswell. (My fav PDA phone to date is still LG KS20, but it's way too slow.....but best design). If this PRADA 2 is fast, will definately buy this one...

Pity it doesn't have GPS. The first Prada phone had all the woo factors at that time even if the phone didn't have the best functions. Now it has everything but GPS. How sad... still I'm choosing a phone between this and iPhone 3G

That's totally absurd they're never gonna have another colour for Prada phone. LG makes them they're still under Prada brand. Prada won't release it in any other colours just like the first Prada phone

i heard the new LG KF900 Prada II, will come with a nice limited edition Prada bluetooth watch that can read sms, dailing contact..etc. Btw Prada watches not cheap stuff the cheapest one 2000euro.

You are right- they make lovely looking handsets but when they go faulty and you send them back to the manufacturer - they take too long in repairing it. I sent a faulty unit to them and they took over 6 weeks to repair it... what a piss take!!

i have the first prada, everything works fine and it's still got that woo factor (which is a good thing to some extend, at least keeps me happy). there're only two things i got to complain; 1 normal wear&tear of the original case isn't good, to be honest it's a cheaply made case, 2 the reception is far from good. but everything else is good, and now this prada II have wi-fi in it that makes me wanna get it, but to be honest, itouch/iphone is still the best touch screen based phone out there. even chatting on my itouch has proven to be better, and even tho i'm already super good at typing on my prada, the speed just can't match itouch and multi-touch capability of the itouch is just too much for any current competition to overcome. so all in all, i think they should redesign this phone and take out the keypad in ther; i mean that's the whole point of a touch phone isn't it?

Very conservative design... Good features, only thing the phone lacks is the presence of GPS but is not that important.... Nice camera, good Qwerty keyboard(nothing new).... Just a new touchscreen phone with Qwerty keyboard from Lg....:)

HTC touch pro, Sony Ericsson X1 ripoff. design in no good, it does not feel solid. Only thing that saved this phone from complete failure is the touch screen which is actually quite responsive.

Prada is not a bad phone coz it has a hscd and 5mp but it doesnt have a gps function and processor like x1 in that case x1 is still a better phone for me even it has a 65k colors only its not a big deal it still has the higher pixels display and x1 is more stylish than prada...Sony really rulezzzzz

If you had such bad luck that you didn't like your Viewty, then don't bother with another phone, you'll probably get a Prada that isn't physically attached to its keyboard.

Hello everyone, First post ever for me :) I had the first LG Prada, HATED it so much, I sold it after 2 weeks. Now I have the Samsung F480, AMAZING. Even with the new features, wouldn't suggest buying Prada 2... major problems: The phone blocks/jam too often. Not precise when you touch/press a button/numbers, write a message, etc.

tis is a very good phone, it have everything, but the QWERTY keyboard make it a little wide, but is only 4mm widest than the original, the only bad ting on this phone is that COST $US 600, TO EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but is ok, i only have to pawn my kidney to get it!

I cannot figure it out why you have a defective Viewty. Well, there is nothing wrong with my Viewty, everything is fine and effective and I love it very much. Maybe you bought your viewty in a unauthorized dealer.

Looks elegant, and the hardware qwerty keyboard makes this an ideal phone for me. The specs look impressive as well. But my disappointing experience with the Viewty makes me skeptical about this phone. The Viewty has so much lag issues and I'm sure the Prada shares similar technology with the Viewty. For me, I'll wait for this phone to come out for a couple of months and see what the users think about it, then I'll decide whether to get this phone to replace my iphone 3g.

Sorry SE fans, x1 crap is over rated and over hyped phone because x1 is the first SE phone which implement full touch screen phone and SE is having a hard time implementing it even on thier non os interface, how much more with the smart OS and that is how they X1 is too late to be commercialized. While LG is advancing very fast with regards to full touch screen and SE is lagging behind. All I can say BRAVO to LG and pls bring more sophisticated phones to the market until SE could not catch up and SE stays drolling with envy.
