Now I, am using it thru power bank up 90% charging only.. Its very bad on company's part by not providing after services... We just cannot depend on few new company's..

Phone is god BUT NOW I STARTED HATING THE BRAND SPICE. They sell the phone but they do not have battery for the phone. I am sick of sending emails and calling them. They say they cannot help me. I asked them to refund money for my phone which is absolutely working fine but without battery is just a failed device in a drawer. First the company could not handle SPICE telecom and so it was brought by Idea Cellular. Now the company is selling mobile phones. Later another company will take over and the handsets will no longer be supported. Cheap company. Bad service.

hi lokesh i had the same problem then i had called spice customer care for mi-500 battery. then they had asked the serial no and battery no and requested to send them to my nearest spice service centre. which was received by me 4 days(please call them again to check whether it reached the service centre. note service centre people will cahrge you more so ask call centre people for price and then order i had purcahsed at rs 650 all inclusive

there is no battery of this model in market. I have search full gaffar market in karol bagh, same result there. You can make a mail to spice customer care tell them your problem and then they will reply you with a reference number. With the help of this reference number you can get in touch with spice customer care in future. you will get your battery in next 10-15 days from your complaint day.

Hi, try any free mail client like Push Mail it will work. I also had the same problem, was fed up and atlast gave a try with free mail client, and it worked. I think the stock client is having some issues. Hope this helps

I bought this phone 4 months ago online in the first week of launch. It was awesome until last month when it just did not start. I went to the Bangalore authorized service center and they took the phone and asked me to contact after two days. I called them and they said the phone is being sent to head office and will take 15-20 days for me to receive it; I had no choice than to wait and called back after 15 days. They told it may take a week more, I keep calling them every 3 days and it�s been a month now. Still waiting...:( The phone is good but the support is just driving me crazy.

@gabby: You can change the setting in the keyboard setting, - in portrait mode there are 2 options : normal & qwerty - in landscape mode only Qwerty screenshoot in ICS/JB = press power & volume down at the same time, and hold them for 3 seconds..

Friends, Read this review very carefully and believe me I have tried to be unbiassed : I purchased this phone on the day of launch and I was impressed that it had the dual-core CPU, a 512MB RAM, a big screen, dual sim. I liked the look but after using this is my honest feedbac: 1. While using internet on SIM2, I missed almost 9 out of 10 incoming voice calls on SIM1. I think this is the biggest draw back of this phone. 2. FM reception is very very poor. It searches the station everytime even if you have saved it. 3. Launcher hang problem: Even though its a dual core cpu phone, performance is sluggish. Some times laucher gets hanged 4. No pc sync with software - only content copying to SD Card. 5. No updates/ upgrades - on air or off air. So, concusion is : even though desi players like Micromax, Spice or Karbonn are lauching phones with large screens and multicore CPUs, these are just rebranded Chinese phones. Yes, if you wish to enjoy latest Android versions, and cant by devices like Samsung, then go for them. Else, little shitty things.

I bought a spice stellar mi-425 on 11.10.2012. But the phone was not working from 21.10.2012.I submitted my phone in service center on 25.10.2012. Today I am standing on 27th day from when the day the phone was dead. still my phone is in service center. As per the job sheet 21 days is the maximum limit a customer should wait. From the day I bought the phone, more than using, it was kept due to the defect. The service of spice provided to the customer is very pathetic. As per the general customer I suggested to the new customer don't switch to spice.

Just root the device and change display model and ID to whatever you like instead of Spice Mi-500. I changed mine to Galaxy Note N7000. That way you can easily connect to Exchange. Spice Guys can't do this because rooting voids warranty and officially they can not change the brand name w.o management consent.

Phone does support Adobe Flash Player. Its just that Adobe decided to delist app from Google Play as technology is moving towards HTML 5.0 If you want to install Flash on Mi-500, download APK file from internet for Adobe Flash Player 11 and save to sd card. Download File Manager and then install thru.

Phone is good, but worthless as you cannot connect to Exchange for all your contacts, email. Only other app that works with exchange is moxier mail pay another Rs 2000. But as you cannot create and exchange account all your. This is useless for business needs. I also contacted support they were clueless. They have created a device id with "-" and " " and which gets rejected by exchange. They do not know how to change as well.

I bought one unit Mi-501 (not 500) with red cover at Low Yat Plaza in KUL-MY 10 days ago for MYR688 (@ 3.05 = USD226) The RAM is 581MB Internal Storage is 2.57GB I bought and inserted a Lexar 32GB micro SD. The Bluetooth transfer rate is slow (2.2) It is a reasonably priced unit for normal use at this price compared to Korean branded ones.

dear battery structure is change it look like a pregnant lady after 15 day normal use....and one more thing when i draw wrong pattern more than 5 time it ask for gmail user name password with which i register .....with google and it will not unlock when i enter user name and password into it it will not unlock..............then i have go for factory reset..........wipe data using volume up down key and power button ...................................i think mobile is soso does any one have this problem.....

ultimate phone.....superb i was waiting for this phone from past 5 months and now its in my hand only for 12500rs i have apple 4, other android phones but this phone is super fast than that not only fast dam chip most important thing is battery life of phone for normal usages it last for 2 days and if you are hardcore gamer then from morning to night it will give you super back up, amazing charging time only 75min from 5 to 100 for such a large 2400Mah battery . camera is ok but you can improve that quality by Camera FV-5 software in the market . default player cant play 720 p video but Mx player will play any type of video smoothly so dont worry at all. i have checked almost lots of application but in my test phone never hang or restarted at all. maim important thing is lot of such phone heats but it doesnt...so i think no 1 phone of the year......

It comes with Android 4 ICS preinstalled with a host of free as well as paid apps like NQ Mobile Security Antivirus,TOI,Nimbuzz,GMAIL,Google Maps,a document viewer etc. The RAM is 512 MB,which means you cannot run 10-20 applications simultaneously,but enough for all those things that you might want to do in a mobile. The screen is good,resolution is nice,comes with a scratch guard,although I would have been happier with a gorilla glass,but then again the mobile comes for 12.5K only and not some 20-30K.I can always change the scratch-guard film if I wish to.The objects are easily visible in bright sunlight,the mobile automatically adjusts to the light. I am using Vodafone 3G/personal wifi with this phone and youtube or any other internet based application runs butter-smooth,with out any freeze or glitch.I have ran 720p videos in this mobile as well using VLC Player that I had installed,and it ran without any framing issues. I can use this mobile easily for USB tethering/wifi hotspot and use the 3G connection in my mobile to provide connectivity to my laptop which runs on Ubuntu linux.Speed is simply awesome. Sensors..G sensor is a little sluggish,rest are all fine. Build quality is much much better than its predecessor,Mi-425,which had a chrome finish over plastic.This one has a metallic bracket kind of thing,that one can see in an iPhone.The phone feels quite solid in hand,a little heavy though.One will have difficulty to use it with one hand if he has smaller hands,considering the fact that it is a 5 inch mobile phone. My day to day activities with this mobile involve listening to music,net surfing,reading pdf,news,using apps for banking/share-trading,taking casual snapshots,emails,watching videos etc etc.This phone has greatly reduced the time I used to spend sitting infront of my laptop. All-in-all I am quite satisfied with this mobile.My brother is having a Samsung Galaxy S2 and there is absolutely nothing that my Mi-500 cannot do and the S2 does,at a much lower cost. Someone might argue that S2 has 8MP camera,but being into digital photography for quite some time,I know that the difference is negligible.Pixel count expressed in terms of Megapixel varies as a square function.The difference between a picture from a 5MP camera and that from a 8 MP camera will be barely noticeable to human eye,especially a picture from a mobile phone camera,not talking about DSLRs here... This mobile phone is a good bang for your buck,good product from spice....

Guys, I have bought this phone 10 days back and i am using it regularly. Except camera, every other feature is superb. Internet Browing, Touch system, Sound System, Battery Backup everything is good. Camera is the only thing which is a problem where you don't get that much quality pictures. Except that aspect this is an awesome one in this price band.

Hello guys, I have this phone for last 1 week now..the battery backup is amazing..i m getting a day full of usage with 3g, wifi on & off, browsing & everything, i used the front camera for skype call & it was flawless. over all a good phone...512mb ram does not create a issue..u can jus go free up the ram from the manage app, runnin tab!!
