Try going to the nearest "Nokia Care Center" you can find a new casing for this phone ... and it would assure you that its authentic and original but the problem is ... buying an original casing would cost you so much ... Casing for clamshell phones were very quite expensive :(

I have this phone over 3 years now and i love it. So far i've had no glitches and issues with using it. Its slick & easy to handle with many useful features. My only difficulty is getting a flip case to store it in. I love Nokia. Can't beat quality.

My partner had this phone, found the big buttons very handy for using. It was just a shame it didnt survive its accidental hot wash and dry through the washing machine. The phone fired up etc after drying but just never made anymore calls.

Very nice and comfortable, but it's not very durable , becouse the keys scratching the screen , and flex-cable wear out over the 1-2 years. But I like it , it's so lovely phone.

I bought 6125 about 1 year ago & within this one year it has already visited Nokia Care Centre 3 times. Now the warranty period is over & still the problem with Network exists. Can anyone help me, on how to get this Network problem resolved as I am not able to receive neither make any calls. (Hence this has now only become a scrap box) Now even Nokia Care Centre has refused that they can do anything about this anomaly... Kindly anyone advise how can i get this resolved...

I have been using 6125 for the past 3 years. This is an ugly duckling from nokia... doesnt look good compared to razor sharp flips from motorola.. The vibrate doesnt work sometimes. Also the phone hangs several times followed by a white screen. I tried to update the software few months ago and the phone went dead and i had to take it to nokia care. Now the phone is not switching on and I gave it for servicing again. The screen gets very badly scratched by the keypad and navigation keys. Phone is also very thick- have a look frm the side. It was a very bad mistake buying this phone when I had several other models available.

had ths fonr for 2 years. the d-pad leaves a mark on the screen, HORRIBLE picture quality. My screen turns white too many times even though the battery is full. Call quality is good, but mobile heats up when talking for more than 15 minutes! Shape is good, convenient. But overall not a good buy for the long-term.

Hi, Used this phone for a while and was let down by Nokia. The design needs improvement as over time the D-pad leaves a mark on the screen. Nokia must stick to Candy bar design. Construction quality is good. Features are excellent but the camera is below average - all snaps are grainy. Call quality is good and the battery life is excellent. Both screens could've been more crisp and lively. Overall, an expensive phone! I gave mine and took back my trusty 6230i.

When I want to start the camera the screen becomes white...I don't know why...anyway I used it a few times and when I saw the poor quality of the pictures I thought this is why they never wrote 1.3megapixel on the phone.The sound is clear,the shape is fine,and this is all I have to say about it.

to anam : im not sure if u and i experienced the same problem, but mine was the phone couldnt read the memory card for some reason even when it still had alot of memory space. all i did was exchanged it with another 512MB and it was working fine to siva : maybe the water has damaged your phone ?

This phone is really good ! I bought it 3 years ago and its still in good condition. its ori and i never had any problems with it. the keypads are extremely nice for smsing. memory card is a Micro SD that can support till 2GB ( If im not mistaken ). im currenlty using a 512MB. the sound is quite loud too. music player never failed me eventhough SE has a better sound quality. the camera id give a, 7 / 10 rating. overall this phone is definately worth buying ^^.

Worst phone ever produced by Nokia! I've always bought Nokia, but last time, I made a terrible mistake. And it is not a problem of my phone: I bought 6 of them, for my entire family, and they are all defected! I talked to 3 other people who own it and everybody hate it! It turns off by itself, it often doesn't receive or make any calls, it has a big problem in receiving SMS, the applications don't work well (even after the software update). It's a phone for someone who likes to carry weight in the pocket, that's it... Once I called Nokia for complaining and they confessed that they now this is a defected phone! It's an absurd! It's completely worthless... I had a downgrade and I came back to use my old Nokia 6100. It's old and doesn't have anything, but at least makes and receives calls and SMS. I am very disapointed with Nokia...

Not a good phone. The screen gets covered with dust from the inside which is pretty hard to clean. The screen also loosens up after a while. I had a charger problem along with it as well. The pin inside tends to lose contact with the charger and it's a hassle charging the phone. A very thick phone for these days.

i used to have this phone. my only complain is the camera. you should at least wait for a couple of so seconds to get a clear pic. the battery life is good. upgraded it to a 6133 then to a 6300.

excellent phone...... key pad is verry nice to type massages , high sound but not a good clarity...changes of the themes are effect the profiles(ring tones changed etc:)... this phone cannot support .otb files because we cant send normal picture massages.....only support text massages and multy media massages(mms) thease are the verry simple problems....this phone is great to use...symbain 40 series some softwares are supported (.tar,.nth)

i work in construction..even the Nokia 8800 in titanium couldnt survive me but this baby did it all. Very happy with it...bright screen for easy daylight reading, bluetooth fantastic. The camera takes a murky pic but ive had it a year now and my pockets are always full of cement. It was just what I needed , a tough flip phone with bluetooth, and syncs so perfectly with outlook in my pc via bluetooth ( silently updates my contacts), a lot better than my PDA (damn microsoft rubbish)

I know theres alot of Solitaire games out there but I want the original one. I have searched like a maniac for THREE! days and I cant find it. Do yourself a favour and dont buy this phone! Its so boring! and i had loads of problems with mine - it cut out for no reason, loads of the pixels on the screen didnt work, camera decided wether or not it wanted to save the pictures & the list goes on and on! And as i never buy nokias its put me off even more from purchasing another one, I only bought this because i thought not all nokias can be bad, so i took my chances. Big Mistake! I now have a Sony Ericsson W700i and its great, its got everything i want and i havent had any problems with it, unlike this piece of crap!

This is a TOUGH little phone. I accidentally dropped it on the marble floor last month thinking that I was going to say goodbye to it and get a new phone, but guess what, until now, it still works PERFECTLY. Pleasantly surprised. Highly recommended.

My 6125 works fine. I haven't discover any bugs. Only thing that is annoying is corpora. After it has been in my pocket for 6 months there are quite a lot scratches. But maybe it is because of how I take care of my phone. Also my 5-way navy key has has left its marks on main screen. For a phone that has a camera my battery lasts quite a while. Also I hate nokia headset. After a while wire in the connection point is damaged and also the connector doesn't want to connect properly.

hmm... cant help you on that. i dont see hta problem in my 6125. btw, what do u mean by 'charge for 8hrs'? the batt charging is only 2:45-3hrs to full charge (assuming only 1 bar left). only first time charge is 8hrs.

yeah i had the same white background in my cell phone too, but only when i changed my theme to something other than the one which is officially nokia provided... if you are using any theme other than the nokia default one then switch back to the original one.. and then see what happens..

I bought Nokia 6125 this week. Upon checking it at home i realised that although the phone was made in Germany, the battery was from China. I wondered if this is how its supposed to be. when i contacted the retailer he argued its so but am not convinced. I have nokia 2100 with both the phone and battery from the same place, as well as other phones that i sampled. Could it be something fishy the seller had done? Thank you.

there's no problem with 6125's bluetooth. it has file-transfer profile. it's the motorola that does NOT have that profile. 6125's bluetooth is ver2.0 - but, seriously, if you just transfer files or synch or use earphone via bluetooth, does it matter if it's ver1.0, 1.5 or 2.0? it does the job just the same - wirelessly. on 6125 vs. 6133 - i can't really say... coz i've nvr tried 6133. from the specs, it looks great, only that it has max cap of 500 for its phonebook. my requirement is 1000, coz i have ~700 names in my phonebook. but if you have no problem with the phonebook, GRAB THE 6133! it's got 240x320 display with 16Million colors! 6125's display is really stone-age compared to that. a phone with great display, is never a bad buy.

between 6300 and 6125, the quality of sound is the same - which is very good. only that 6300 has a better music player interface. but, with 6300, i realized that i can't select a particular folder altho i can create a playlist (note, only 1 playlist - i think, i'm still exploring the phone). i personally prefer 6125's ability to select a particular folder to be played. that means i have the power to create as many 'playlist' i want. i'll put hip-hop in 1 folder, rock music in another folder, jazz in another folder etc... then just select the folder and the phone will only play the selected folder... it's just like having a personalized playlist :-)

on battery life - on avg use, it can last 2.5 to 3 days. remember that in order for you to have good batery life, u must be discipline in the way u charge the batt. first time charge, 8hrs. then subsequent charge between 2hr45min to 3hrs (depending on your batt type - see manual). IMPORTANT NOTE: only charge yr battery when there's only 1 bar left (or when the camera stops working). these are tips to keeping yr batt lost lasting. if u keep charging yr batt everyday or when it's still strong, you'll decrease the batt's capacity. google up battery maintenance for more info. another note, if u keep playing with the phone (usually, everybody will do that when they get a NEW phone, the display drains out the phone - its normal). on music player - the sound quality is good. very good actually, provided u use nokia's 3.5mm adapter and hook it up with yr hi-quality 3.5mm earphones. u'll be shock to learn just how good the sound is. on bluetooth - it's a known fact that some motorola phone does NOT have file-exchange profile on their Bluetooth system. nokia's BT system cover all protocol there is, including A2DP. which is good. i feel pity for some motorola users, coz only after they bought the phone, then they realized that their phone can't received or send files to other phones via BT. on mp3 ringtone - of coz you can have mp3 as your ringtone. no problem at all.

its been months since i use this phone, in replacement for my 6230i. what i can say is that - this phone is just GREAT! i've NEVER experienced any 'freeze' and it's battery power, on avg use, is just great, at ~2-3days. i observe ppl are sooo worried about scratching the phone... why are you worried about that???? it's all in the way you takes care of the phone. i dont care about this, as i'll change phone every 1.5-2years. this phone is simply superb! i have another phone, just bought it ~1 wk ago, it's the 6300. thats another great phone. the music player has been upgraded, in comparison to this phone. i suggest, music lover MUST buy Nokia's 3.5mm adapter, and enjoy the high quality sound from your fav earphone. DO NOT buy the 'no-brand' adapter, i've tried it out - it makes the sound quality worse.

6125 Is the only perfect 60s-series Nokia phone today! 6233 would be the same if it had larger kaypad and was thicker. PROS of 6125: -Normal, large male design! -Nice/normal keypad -Loud and bassy earpiece sound-thanks to normal thickness of the opening part of the flip and normal earpiece hole design! All other 6100-series models : 6100/6102/6133/6133 , have small earpiece hole and very thin sound due to thin flip part (unusable in loud environment) I absolutely see no reasons why normal screan resolution 6133 should have small earpiece hole and thin opening part? (to make phone unusable without bluetooth?)

I would choose Nokia 6125 because the UI is newer and better compared to 6230i. Nokia 6125 SW stability is also good. Mp3 sound is better .... so my choice would be 6125.

To who ever said you can fit the bl-6 battery is WRONG. The bl-5 barely fits and it bends the cover. The 6 absolutely does not fit. And I love this phone. For the price it's great and nokia UI is the BEST hands down.

Jessica, when you are filling the sensor information (about yourself) and activate the sensor. The phone automatically sends your info all the other users who are using sensor too. This is happening inside BT range (5-10 m). In this way you can meet new people. I guess you can also communicate with other persons using sensor (who are inside the BT range)

I have a 1month old n6125 and I love it to bits! An all-in phone, except d 3G feature, w/c I will not use anyway. I'm using a 512mb micro SD, and already I have 98 songs, over a hundred photos and videos and have downloaded several applications in a jiff, with 40MB free memory at that still. That's just a few of the advantages. It also has unlimited contacts storage. So, no more erasing of contact numbers. That was a priority for me b/c I would not want to go through the primitive inconvenience of rummaging thru d ol address book. My former SE s700i was a total disappointment when it comes to this feature. Pricey but not worth it (s700i). Also the 6125 flip type is stylish, and convenient. I also love that you can take pictures of yourself using the mini display, you can actually see how you look, and not just the itty bitty round mirror the SE phones have. The sound quality is good, the photos can be better. But if you wanna take good quality ones, it is wise to use a digital cam instead. The ergonomics of the keypad is the best I have encountered yet.

Matheus, I have a 6125, my father uses a 6111. I reckon both have good displays and similar resolutions. Appearance wise, I much prefer mine as I am a "flip phone" user. If you use SMS a lot, I'd strongly recommend the 6125. However, the case of 6125 gets scratched easily even if you're a very careful person. The 6111, to me, looks slightly feminine.

@David I have some proposal for you (your criteria good battery life and radio/MP3: - if you want only radio you can choose Nokia 6030 (the battery more than average) or 2310 - better radio with better earset but only average battery you can choose SE J230 - if you want only MP3 you can choose SE J300 All of them without camera. If you want radio+MP3 and battery more than average (goed management battery) you may think SE W800i (plus goed camera for 2Mpx). I don't give alternatief smartphone, because I think you don't need that according to your criteria.

David, NokiaMia has been using Nokia 6125 and 6230i below her comments: OK, just like all the phones i've got, clumsy me has brutally dropped my 6125 3 times now. Twice, the top cover (just above the battery cover) popped out of place. HOWEVER, i', very very happy to say that the phone has been EXTREMELY durable so far. The signal is still as strong as ever. Just had a biz trip, and the phone (and my top range Philips ear-plug ear phones) accompanied my with a lots of high quality mp3 musics. The phone has been flawless after >3mths owning it. Love it. Very reliable. I charge the phone every 3days (minimal bluetooth usage) but every day if mp3 is played for >8hrs a day e.g. when I'm travelling. She also thinks that SW in 6125 is better compared to 6230i.

@Patrick I agree with T,you may read all opinion from our friends here,but the important thing is what you need/important to you. I mean: 850 is sure important if you live in the country that use that; but if you live in Eropa/Asia and you are not a business/have a job so you must go round the world than the 850 is not important. EDGE is also useful if you like to download or play with internet from your phone, but again if you shall never use it or your operator in your country don't implement EDGE than this feature is also not important. Also with memory etc. @MY4R I think,bigger battery doesn't mean more standby and talktime.But it depends on how the phone manage their energy. Have you ever read this : Also about sound quality,do you mean poor quality or loud? And how you compare them? With earset or without earset? And you mean here with Z550 or other SE? Because we may often misunderstand about that. And I agree with the opinion that the sound taste is individually. So what I feel better maybe not the same for you. So for sound quality,it's better to test by yourself.

@Patrick Are 850 GSM,EDGE and infrared very important to you? If yes, take the 6125. But if that are not so important. You should go to the shop and ask them to show you both of these phones. Or better if you have friends around you, than you can try by yourself, especially which features do you really concern (camera?music via earset or no? etc). If someone has used both of them, than that is more objective. Because Jim and Shaliron say that because Jim is satisfied with 6125 and Shaliron is satisfied with Z550. I don't know if Jim and Shaliron have ever used both of 6125 and SE Z550 or not. Just my opinion.

Patrick, I would choose Nokia 6125. It has 1.3 Mpix camera. Very good MP3 sound, also external speaker sound is loud and clear. Micro SD memory card prices are much lower compared to SE memory stick prices. Nokia S40 UI is very good and quick. When you buy 1GB memory card for the phone you are able to save 700 songs (with lowest bit rate) to your phone.

@jim.... er.. basically i was looking for a "minute minder"... which is something like a small beep which blows after every minute, so that i can know how minutes i have talked just by hearing that and not by looking the call summary ( i had this function on my SE phone).

For spongebob rules. You have many options. You can transfer MP3 songs by using BT connection. Or you can buy USB cable. Or you can buy micro SD card and micro SD card reader for computer USB. For USB cable or BT connection you need to install PC suite for your computern alos. This can be found from Nokia www pages. If I were you I would buy 1GB Micro SD card for the phone and USB memory card reader for your computer. Then you can save over 300 songs to your phone and transfer is quickest possible using memory card reader..

@Alex Your welcome,I think more channels mean that the music player can differentiate how many sounds.Normally more channels more better,but that's not always. If you don't mind,if you really like SE sounds,than you can choose W300 (better sound than K series) but it has only VGA camera. Or SE Z550?

NOKIA 6125 looks like updated Nokia 6101, with a better camera, MicroSD slot. Nokia 6131 has better screens but worse battery performance, but NOKIA 6131 runs S40V3 interface, very cool :)

T7 and Rocky: The Nokia 6125 external speakers sound Rocks ! Compared to SE walkman phones it has better sound. 256 mb memory card in SE sucks. Decent music phone has at least 1 GB external memory. When comparing SE mem stick prices to Micro SD (Nokia), points go to Nokia. Walkman is good trademark, nothing else in this case....

@Rocky Yes, 6125 has better specification for camera, colour ext display (for me is not too important),PTT and support A2DP. W300 is made special for music. If your important is music and not too care about camera than take SE W300 because the earset from SE walkman series is better than Nokia. (wiht Nokia usually you must buy other earset to get better music). I don't know if the price also very important to you. As I look at Plemix, they have the similar price but W300 included 256 Mb memory card and 6125 not. But if the important thing for you are camera and A2DP feature than take 6125.

Ray: -Music can be played when fold closed. -Full screen video also available. -7 sec length is a default setting and it can be changed from menus to 2-3 minutes. If you have memory card you can record possibly over one hour video (2 GB card).

Jessica: I have a Sandisk and I think that the Sandisk is a good memory card. When buying a card buy 1 GB card because you will find it nice when there is enough space for several hundreds MP3 songs :-)

Jessica: start camera, select options, select settings and there you can select video max length which is more than 4 minutes with internal memory(this 7 sec is factory default). I think also that you should buy a memory card if you want to record very long videos.

Ok, forget about battery life. Even if the talk time is 5hr , that would be 3.0- 3.5 HR talking through a bluetooth. And we all know from previous exp, that if the talk time is around 3hr, than standby is 2 days the most. I just did some reasearch and found that Bluetooth takes up to 40% more power out of battery. That's why with all pluses and minuses I see Panasonic SA7/MX7 are the only phone to go after if you want constantly use a bluetooth for converstations. I'm sorry Nokia, but nobody would kill you if you made this phone a bit thicker for extra batterry capacity!

SERIOUS QUESTION: How is the batterry life? Trully 5hr of talk time? Anyone who owns this phone, please repply. If you mention standby days, then don't forget to mention how many minutes did you talk during those standby days (remember, when you shut down your phone at night, you can't speak of standby time). Nokia 6125 is definitely better than 6101/6103 junk! Just 5mm longer, and less rounded edges, and this becomes a mature looking male's phone, comparing to girlish 6101/6103 which were made like most flip Samsung phones.

Sathihs. There might be problem in the memory card that when password is set to the card the card does not work properly. You can format the card using PC and the memory card reader placed to the PC USB port.

I've been using this phone for abt 3-4weeks now, so far no problems. The software is lightning fast compared to my Moto E398. Great value, nice design, great camera, huge keypad with neat design. I have no regrets buying it although I used to hate flip fones. The case is a bit easily scratched. Flawless! I love it.

Just bought the 6125 and so far so good. A few questions: Is anyone actually using a 2 GB micro memory card? My 1 GB works fine but I'd like more space. And, regarding space, can the memory on the card be "sent" to "Music Files" and other places to be used there vs. all the memory on the card files?

I've had the phone for a few months now... I do want to post findings on the phone here... but, seriously... the phone has been FLAWLESS! I've got nothing to report out. It works fabulously well. No freezing to speak of (my old 6230, 623i freezes once in a while). People who can live with 128x160pixel display, this phone is superbly reliable and will NOT bring you down. Love it.

PATRYK, Yes, it does get scracthed. But not very visible unless you hold it REAL CLOSE for inspection. If you're really concerned, you could always get a transparent hard plastic case to prevent it from scracthing.

Nokia 6125 is a nice phone, user-friendly, I've had mine since July. The downside is that the case gets scratched easily eventhough I am a VERY careful person. I remember reading one of the posts on here regarding this issue several weeks ago. So if you're buying a 6125, do take this into consideration. As for me, NO regrets.

Jyothsna, I'm pretty sure 6131 has bluetooth. It has almost identical features as 6125 plus you get a VERY big screen with 240x320 resolution. I almost bought that one but didn't due to its too-feminine (my opinion) design and unprotected screen. If you can live with the unprotected screen, then 6131 is truly a better phone over 6125.

I've had the phone for few months now. On standby mode, it shows the vital info such as missed calls, messages, time and EVEN date :-) The menu is blazing fast. Faster than my 6230 and 6230i. The battery, on normal usage, lasts 3-4 days. I got this span only after charging/recharge the batteries a few times.

FINALY IT SEEMS like a found the minimum required features phone (bluetooth and normal design) but how can I trust is when: Nokia 6101, and 6103 Have alsmost the same design, and the speed of the menu response is not as fast as it must be. I've had it for 2 weeks now. Now problems with the software as an answer for the questions higher up in the thread. I installed Opera Mini and it works great. Watched swedish television using the default browser today. The UI of the phone is fast and the OS or whatever it is called is very good. I have seen many small improvements, one for example is when I want to spell a word the dictionary doesn't recongnize it keeps the word I already entered so I usually only have to fill in the last two letters. This is a big difference for me. I installed a 512mb SanDisk card for photos and music.

Rick,, You can use the video recorder as long as you want, (depends on the memory),, also you can take photos ((black & white, negative, sepia)), The mp3 is great with equalizer feature, and you can use Mono or Stero sound type, The main screen reseloution is 262kb color, and you can see it very clearly, also you can show your images in the whole screen, the mini screen has a little bit low resoloution 64kb but you can use to take picture of yourself useing the camera, and it's ok for me because it's mini screen, 6125 comes with 4 Java games: Golf, Solitaire, Rally 3d, and backgammon, also you can add more games and application if you want but only ((Java)), ((For that you need to install Nokia PC Suite from nokia website, and it's free,, Another sweet feature, you can show Flash files in the phone and use it as wallpaper or screensaver, Also, you can put any video as a screensaver, or you can use it as a video call (when some call you the video play), I hope I give more info, :):):):):)

SERIOUS QUESTION: Does stereo bluetooth on 6125 mean that you can listen to phone conversion in stereo quality when you purchase some of the new stereo bluetooth headsets? According to Plantronics 590a wireless stereo bluetooth/headphones (it says on its box): To listen in stereo you either must use plantronic's bluetooth adapter (small 3.5mm device included with 590a) or your device must have A2DP profile (stereo bluetooth). When you use the headset it's like listening to your own ipod and when you use the speaker it's like using I don't know how to say it but the sound is very clear and you can hear it in the intire room. I'm a person who don't like to change cell phones. If it has all what I need it's enough for me. I had nokia 6230i before for 2 years and I really cried when it fell in the water. T.T I bought this 6125 two weeks ago from CTI Miami. I've to say that 6125 is better than 6230i and it's also kinda of stylish. anyways, lets get to the phone: Advantages: ~Good design with color and clear screens. ~The camera is better than 1.3 MP. ~The mp3's sound is loud enough to make your nieghbor call 911 (haha J/K). ~Faster performence than 6230i. ~The battary stayed long time with me. Disadvantages: ~The camera and the volume bottoms on the sides, somtimes it's hard to press them. ~It didn't come with memory card or CD like 6230i. ~10 Mb internal memory !?!? In conc. it's such a great phone if you take care of it. Personaly, I recommend it for those who like flip phones. + IF you have any question about the cell, I'm so pleased to answer you.. ^.^

It's been more than a month having this phone, and I'm loving it more and more each day. The battery, now that I use it just like a normal person uses a phone, lasts me up till 4 days on a single charge. Previously, I could only get a little less than 2 days, but I guess, the batteries conditions out and now it lasts very very long. Everyone will be suprised of just how FAST the phone is. Even viewing multiple pictures of 500Kb each, very little lag to speak of. And the best part, after owning 6230 and 6230i that have a habit of freezing that require shutdown/restart... this phone DID NOT freeze at all at any extreme usage. Excellent!

Agreed that the case shell is not top notch quality and that the 6125 scratches easily. It is a very good phone and good looking too- the pictures do not do it justice .My phone is just ver a week old and it has major scratches on it. I am very careful with my phones and this is the only phone I have ever had that has scratched .

It's a very nice phone with a very poor shell. Scratches very easy. And the battery 4C won't stay on more then 2 days without any playing. I've changed the battery to 5C and i guess it'll take much longer. Otherwise the overall usage is very nice. Too bad the carcass materials are so bad.

I have changed phones so many times- as I did notlike the OS of many of the brands .I have finally come home to nokia after not having a Nokia phone since my N70 last December . The more I use this phone the better it seems .I have tried HARD to like the other brands but no OS comes close to the Series 40 3rd Edition.The ease of use is superb and I am very hard to please ! The SMS is great. The meail client is OK - ish but still excellent- it downloads complete messages .like i said earlier- I got sick of smartphones with useless applications.This is a fun phone with great usability and excellent phonebook .Yes, Samsung phones have 1000 contacts fixed andyou can enter 5 tel nos .per contact but you can't enter a postal address or a web address - ever .How many people do you know have 5 tel numbers ? The Nokia 6125 is a highly underrated phone in my opinion and not reviewed at all.The 6131 has had all the acclaim though I am very suspicious of the soft screen that the 6131 has - see the mobile-review.com review if you are thinking of getting the 6131.The soft screen is under protected and fragile compared to the 6125.

I had this phone for a week now. It's a very good phone. It's relatively light compared to other phones that are as loaded as this one. Bluetooth works great! Keypad is very convenient to use. Menus and interface are very user friendly and you can find your way around even without reading the manual (for the most part). Camera is a lower quality; it's only 1.3 mp. However, I didn't buy this phone for camera; I already have a good camera. For downloading stuff from PC I have to get another cable because the one I have for my old Nokia doesn't work with this phone. The sound quality is absolutely great and very loud if you like it this way (of course you can adjust the volume to fit your taste and needs.) Overall it's a good reliable phone with many nice and easy to use features. I like it!!! :)

This phone packs a lot of suprise - even to an ex-6230i and ex-W800, W550 user like me. It's been such a great productivity tool for my business and personal life. Here are some goodies... 1) Active Standby is great! I can see all of my meeting in one go. and play my mp3 player immediately. 2) Browsing via Mini.Opera.Com is superb, eventho the display is just 128x160, the fonts can be set so small and readable. 3) SUPERB music player. Superb sound quality (using aftermarket earphone, i use Philips). Best part - it can play via individual folder, which mean, each folder is equivalent to a 'playlist'. BEST part: music can be fast-fwded and rewinded =D 4) Phonebook 1000, mine current contacts is 610, so, this is just great. All of the contacts are synchronzed to my Microsoft Outlook. 5) Synch ease - i use infraRed coz it can be hooked to my laptop effortlessly, and it synchs meeting, notes and todo list - FAST. 6) Fast operating system, browsing within the files in the phone is fast, even with pics amounting to 500Kb. 7) File manager system is better than ever, you can "mark" files, to either move it, or delete it. 8) COnstruction of the phone is solid. 9) you can add LOTS of shortcuts on the main screen, min of 14, to a max of... LOTS. 10) One of the best keypad i've ever used. Cons? Well, here's some: 1) 128x160pixel display? That is SO outdated. 2) I can't get the battery to last me more than 48hrs on a single charge, maybe coz it's still new, i dunno. All in all, the pro outweighs the cons.. by a thousand mile. this is probably remain as my phone for the next year. no regrets.

I bought this phone - 6125 yesterday afternoon.It was a toss up between this and the 6131. Howver, the 6131 is too fragile - re. the soft screen and the overall build quality . This is a really good mid range phone. It uses the Series 40 3rd Edition - the new edition ( non symbian ) . The thing I wanted to know MOST was the capacity of the phone book .Well, folks- you can get 1000 contacts in it if you have to because I have over 310 contacts in it now and I have 75% storage left for more contacts. The phonebook is good allowing 3 email address,2 postal addresses- a real improvement on the old series 40 phonebooks. True- the 6131 has 16 millions colours for its screen resolution but really - it is not practical .The screen is soft and easlit damaged. As a previous poster said - check out the very thorough review on the 6131 at mobile-review.com. The 6125 is definitely more hardy . Connections. Well this phone has the latest Bluetooth protocol 2.0 and it works well .I have transfered all my contacts and pictures via bluetooth and no cable is really needed. Bluetooth does drain the battrey so for this reason I will get my own cable for transfers . Build Quality - there are a few creaks along the top of the back cover.Nokia used to be so well built but I feel the quality is cheaper these days compared to Samsung and SE.Saying that- it still feels fine. I got sick of my smart phones and I wanted something with some personality .This little phone has it. This phone is value for money.

Just got myself this phone. I was using a 6230i before this and was looking a worthy phone to replace it. 6131 was on top of my list but the design is too feminine and the 320x240 display is not protected (see mobile-review.com). So, I had to do away with 6125, so far, I'm happy with the phone and have got used to the fact that the display is just 170+ x 220+ pixel only. Oh well, the features are good. I'll post more findings as I keep using the phone.

r- why don't you use an mp3 for your ringtone. For SMS- you can download LogoManager Pro - it costs 20 pounds birtish sterling but you can use it to organise all kinds of things from SMS messages to your PC and your phonebook too.

Got this phone 2 days ago.I am disappointed with two features-messages are automatically saved on the phone memory and I can't set it to be saved on the sim card and secondly the ring tones are terrible and till today I have been unable to find ring tones for this model as free or paid downloadable. I have stored only 60+ contacts so far, and I am sure you can store LOTS more than that. In terms of the quality, I must say quite robust (of course, each of us have our own definition for that word). Have you had a Nokia 8850 or 8890 before? I had those two and were impressed by their overall quality, including this 6125. I must admit that I have NOT been disappointed by Nokia so far.

This is means it is easier to break .6125- has a proper glass front to the internal screen but the screen is only 1.8 incles and 265K colours. 2.Not sure if contacts are the same - 6131 is specified as having 1000 contacts confirmed .6125 - there is nothing said on the website although BOTH phones have 11 Mbs internal memory and Nokia phones always use internal memory for their contacts base. 3 6131- has an auto open button on the ouside.6125 does not. i am sure there are other differences .However, both phnoes are very similar soft ware -wise. I personally love this phone MORE than the 6131 as I think the build quality is better. 6131 has shoddy chrome surround and plastiky buttons. I doubt the chrome will last long on either phones !

For people who dont and wont ever use bluetooth stereo headset, they can conveniently ignore this post. but for those who do or intend to, and if u see on the official nokia website that this phone supports stereo audio over bluetooth wireless technology, happily get this phone and a stereo bluetooth headset, only to realise that there is no way to stream stereo audio via bluetooth to the phone, how would you feel? i am still awaiting nokia's reply of whether this phone will support A2DP in future firmware. they had better answer a yes..... Got it. The screen is less than impressive, and playback volume is a bit on the inaudible side for use in noisy areas, albeit very clear. Radio is good, interface is very good and responsive. I chose this one over the 6131 because I prefer longer battery life to sexier screens. The design is a bit more hammy than Samsungs clamshells, which I believe is the markets finest aesthetically speaking.

The 6125 user guide doesnt even give any bit of trace of hint on A2DP, and A2DP wasnt even listed amongst the many profiles listed in the manual. I have Itech R35 and there was no way i could stream stereo audio via bluetooth from the 6125.my 6125 only recognised R35 as a normal bluetooth headset and could at most stream mono quality music(which nobody would use to listen to music). however, the nokia website have explicitly mentioned in the features and fact sheet that it supports "Stereo Audio over bluetooth technology". and up till today, its still there on the website. the thing i would like to know is, has anyone tried ANY a2dp stereo bluetooth headset on 6125 and it actually WORKED???!?(for they can easily say no guarantee 3rd party enhancements will work on it)for e.g., nokia HS12W? Moto HT-820? Samsung? if none of them work, then what does this say about Nokia? I bought this set chiefly because of its supposedly A2dp compatibility. Hoever, this issue aside, i hav to admit im quite impress by this phone's features. if u dont ever need A2DP at all then this problem wont spoil your experience with the phone. In conclusion, i still cannot come to a definite answer of whether this phone supports A2DP. anyone help please!

i bought the 6125 last week as replacement for my n6230. i noticed that the camera is too sensitive to motion and the phrase "message sent" or "message sending failed" doesn't appear. but generally, the phone is excellent. it's battery life is better than my other phone (n6230i) and the software (if that's what you call it) is far more better than my previous phone (n6101). kudos to nokia for the n6125!

I dont have any problems with battery. 2-3 days easily with over 1 hour talk time. If you want to increase battery life please disable screen savers on both displays. Battery capacity may increase a bit after the battery has been charged for few times.

Just bought this phone. The feel is good but when playing the MP3 songs, it drains the battery fast. Picture resolution is ok but not fantastic compared with a Samsung 1.3 megapixel camera. The phone allows you to set a password to the memory card but when I did that, it corrupts the card and i had to do a one for one exchange. Dont dare to set passwords anymore. Overall, i still like the phone.

I absolutely love this phone. It came down to the Nokia 6125 or the Motorola SLVR. Here's my review on the 6125: Pro's: music equalizer, fabulous mp3 sound, great battery life, quad band, in flight mode, so easy to use, great pictures, easy sms typing, radio, micro sd expansion card slot. Con's: can't save a phone number from an sms. The nostalgic look doesn't make your phone look like it belongs to a techno geek. No thanks Samsung. Motorola SLVR or Razor don't nearly compare to the mp3 player sound or have a radio. Plus they are too awkward to use. Takes me three times longer to type an sms on a SLVR.

Held this phone- saw the screen. The screen is only 1.8 ' .The resolution doesn't look too hot. Everything looks abit squashed to me . But apart from that- it is a fab mid range cell phone. Everything in it but the kitchen sink !

Heh... when i first saw 6101, i thought wow, now we're getting somewhere.. Only things that bothered me were external antenna and very slow menu/display. 6125 doesn't have external antenna, it was a good move to remove it. Have to check menu/display speed tho but imho this new outlook is quite ok, although i must admit, nokia is still far behind from samsung's/lg's design. This design can be compared to sony/ericsson Z520, which looks quite ok too. So much about the outlook. About the capabilities it has, it's like everything i need in my everyday life, plus it's quad-band, so it basically works all around the world :)

I don't get Nokia, they announce this phone and a couple weeks later they announce the 6131 which looks like a much better model. Why? The only thing about the 6131 is that it is about 15 grams heavier, making it quite heavy for its class. It's got an unbelievable screen though... Nokia FINALLY fixed that!

Wizmaster, internal memory is not so big but I think that memory card reader compensates that ! If you use phone for music or pictures you will need a BIG memory soon....that means that only memory card can provide that.

It's a quadband, and it means the 6125 can be sold and used by GSM providers world over. I hope this is not a "one off" by Nokia Design, and this becomes the standard spec for Nokia clamshell phones. Nokia has set the bar with the 6125, hope all future Nokia phones have all these features and more.

hey take a look at the phones in canada and there is one phone that is symbian that has stereo mp3 player compatible with enny nokia headsets the 6620 and the 6125 are two destinct models there is no os one this flip but the main issue here is it's the best and cheapest way to get a mp3 player and a 1.3 mp camera for this phone!!!!perfect phone for more recomended if you like listening to music and if you ever tried it had it on youre cellphone it,s a mp3 player you would just need the nokia d-15 adapter to plug youre regular headsets i think it's worth it

Today the size matters in electronics and therefore the card size must as small as possible. I think that is the reason for micro SD instead of mini SD. There will be high capacity micro SDs in future as well...

I think all the phone manufacturers should stick to one format and thats SD. Its redeculous to buy different cards and then again they dont come in high capacity. With a adapter minroSD/miniSD is same as SD in size..so why not use SD which is available in high capacity? It sucks.

Rusty, micro-SD is also called Transflash and it is smaller than a mini-SD. mini-SD can be used in a digital camera or other compatible devices cos you got the "adapter" which makes it bigger. Micro-SD is something Samsung and Nokia is using in their future phones. RS-MMC seems to be of an old standard. You can find them in some old Nokia phones. Please, correct me, anyone.

It has EDGE (meaning you can download music at a fair rate) Damn, this is a good one when you go through the specs. Only �230 ...hmm, is it a joke ? this will sell good all over the world and are really interesting to operators. Rumors are olso that there is coming a 6131 (3G) and 240X320 screen. You will also see more clams without antenna in the 3,7,8 Series during Q1 (presented, not i stores) and a couple of them will be thin, thin, thin :)

really, this phone was made to be a MIDRANGE clamshell and at ONLY 230 euro, thats better than what the competition have to offer samsung offers less X800 (only tbe screen and internal memory is better) no radio, no edge, no ptt, no quadband. and the samgsungs are around 350 euro or more... so really i think a smart one will go for the better featured =)

Wants again, the consumers have proved my point that i stress on over and over. People pay so much attention to the look of the phone, they miss its true puprose. "communication" Poeple, this phone has everything. So what, the camera doesn't have a flash. The thing that people don't realise is that once a flash is installed on a cellphone you reduce the life of your powercell. Evertime a flash is activited on a camera, a huge amount energy is drained from you battery. How do i know this? For people who have common sense and a digital camera, i mean a real one, you would know that its only practical to have a charger along with rechargeable batteries. The LCD (which a cellphone has also) and the flash(which a cellphone not suppose to have) is very demanding on a battery. So when looking at a phone, just remeber its true purpose, its built for communication. If you want a fancy MP lens and high beam flash, get realistic and use your head, get the equipment that was designed for high end qualtity picutres, go buy a digital camera.

Its a great phone, but the resolution can use some work. It has not adopted from its predecessors like 6233 or the 6234 even the 6230i. If this phone does not have an auto focus or optical zoom then the camera will be worthless. The way i see it, pretty soon there may be a 6125i. Over all the phone will be hit. The way i see it, this has to be the only clam-phone that nokia has really sat down and put some thought too. Since the company's last success, which in my opionion was the nokia_6230, I really thought that this phone(6125) really had it, but after looking really closely at it, I realised that they still have a little bit more work to do. It only has 128x160. They severly need to improve on this. 6230 was great, the 6230i was even better. instead of going forward with screen resolution you took a few steps back. Come on nokia, u can do better than this. Look at the nokia 6233 and 6234 they have great resolution and this new 6125 suppose to be a later version? what is going on? 2. Only 1.3MP? come on you can do better than that? Where is the autofocus and the optical zoom like is predecessor, 6230i ? Not even a flash? 3. Even though, i think that the outter shell design works for me, i still think it can be given a little more effort. I mean, look at the nokia N92, Now that is a well designed phone. 4. The internal memory can do alot better. Only 11MB? come one!! We are still not sure if the microSD slot provided with this phone can go up to 2GB. Over all this phone is still a great phone. But nokia is not capitlising on the success of the 6230 and the 6230i. All they had to do was take the features of either one of those phones(the 6234 is ideal) and do some modern tweaking with it and place it in a well designed clam shell phone and walla!!!! Nokia is forgetting, they have competitors like SonyEcricsson to deal with. The W810 is amazing!!!

Finally, Nokia has launched the much awaited clamshell with a very good set of features. I hope this model will give a good competition to its arch-rivals Samsung and Motorola, which have an expertise in flip-phones segment. This will be one of the biggest success for Nokia in its clamshell range after 6101. Now Nokia's priority should be to reduce the weight of its clamshells from an average 97-98 grams to 80-85 grams and manufacture light-weight phones. This would prove to be on of the most important factors for Nokia to succeed in the flip-phone market in the long run.

Who says it does not have BT. Check the nokia site which says it has BT connectivity as well.

well! nokia 6125 just rocks! there's too many reasons to buy it, beauty,style and the name nokia. i just don't like the motorazr v3 ( except the v3x ) and to be slim in this chase, don't shows any vantages, it juist turns it expansive. congratulations to the nokia company, i have the 6101 and i'm so excited with the functions and design but i need to say that you're the best!

are you blind?! it have bluetooth and 2.0!!!! really this model only lose to samgsung models in the internal screen and not by much nokia phones have FM Radio+EDGE+PTT, and probably better camera. samsung still can't put all the features in one phone even d600 was close. and so their GUI sucks. its the worst of the top 5 phone makers.

Design a bit big and dull, small screen. Memory card is great. At last Nokia has learned from Samsung, and definitely is in the right way. Nevertheless if Nokia says 2nd Q 2006 it will probably be here end of 3rd Q. Plenty of time for other brands to come up with better phones.

i dont think that nokia should be making clam shell phones. they are great at making business phones, but just cant seem to get the whole clamshell thing right. the 6125's features are nothing to write home about either - the samsung E760 looks better and has way better features, PLUS more memory, which is a big must in my books...

Very nice.. This is a beginners delight. Features are actually really great, and comes in a sexy design aswell. The buttons are alittle ugly looking.. But- Their big which will provide easy typing. The phone does have a 256k colour screen, but very low resolution which will probably effect the screen quality. No flash on the camera is kind of a disapointment, but no big deal. The microSD hot-swappable card slot was a great move on nokia's part.. Now you can put videos, music and apps and still have room left for pictures and videos from the camera. Good job.. I'll be waiting to test this phone soon.

Nice clamshell design (no antenna), transflash memory (hotswappable), 1.3 mega pixel, Stereo FM, MP3, Infrared, bluetooth, Pop-port, 256K display, in-flight mode...well..what more do you need!

Finally,........finally, nokia has finally got the clam shell thing down.I have been waiting for them to put together a cell that has the versitility of the nokia 6230i and the sleek design of a modern-metropolitan cell phone. I don't know if the 1.3MP camera has any Optical Zoom but the use of the microSD for storage capcity means that nokia is really putting what the customer wants in a cellphone first now, "Lots of music capacity". The fm Stereo radio is like the icing on a cake. The Removal of the antenna (what nokia is known for)is a great move and the keypad layout is just great ergonomically. When this phone hits the market, the competition will not stand a chance.

finally! Nokia got it right. they got rid of that antenna. It may not be the most beautifull clamp type phone in the market, but the features are awesome. it's feature is something samsung has not been able to put it their phone. hope nokia will release this phone instead of 6103 asap and hope it does not cost too much.

Sober, do everithing you need today, and do it right. Ultimately, we can except the nokia quality of fabric. If the 23 mm depth is not making the phone bulky this will be mine. I was looking for the promised SE walkman folder, perhaps that I will go on this one indeed.
