  • Let me tell you something again dear colleagues. Finally I got rid of that phone, because I sold it. hehehe. Without loss! If you are reading this, I am changing my comment about the phone little bit. you can go for it. Because my dears, Phone prices are defined and announced according to the criteria. cost, demand, design, specifications, customers' affordability, etc. LG phones are relatively cheaper than many other companies' phones as it doesn't have much reputation except refrigerators, washing machines, tvs etc. Try one LG phone and make a difference for yourself. Thanks everyone.

  • I strongly recommend not buying this phone. because daytime outside reading on the screen is difficult. display is low quality. when you call someone screen is locked. go for another model or company brothers and sisters. tv function is not useful. because you can not use outside us country. it is like some of china made cheap, low quality simple plastic finishing phone. I made a mistake as I bought this phone. regards.

  • im getting this phone and it seems good

  • The phone worked great, until the battery just gave up. I've only had the phone for maybe a year and I cannot have it off the charger anymore, if I do it merely becomes a glorified clock. I don't even bother talking on the phone because I can't get a sentence out without it dying; and I'll probably be able to get 2 texts back and forth before it turns off. If the battery continued to work I wouldn't have any problem with it.

  • Beautiful design. I love it.

  • it is a mordarn phone and its features are so actractive

  • is there whole key board in this phone ??? for messege typing ?

  • Touch screen got worse and worse over time. Whenever someone called me (or I called voicemail) and my ear touched the screen, the phone would automatically start dialing voicemail!! Very annoying. I learned to not put the phone so close to my ear when I answered calls until the screen locked but still, I shouldn't have to do that. Battery life was crap too.

  • You should have called ATT first and have them unlocked your phone before your trip. Or, you can just buy the unlock code at ebay for a few dollars or if you're at the mall, find a cell phone shop where they unloc cell phones for a fee.

  • Hi for LG cellular phone brought from USA only AT&T card is acceptable...when local indian sim card is loaded, the cellular phone is asking for unlock code... Where can we find the unlock code. Cellular phone model is : LG : BEJCU920.

  • it will work, four 0. :) just try it.

  • What is the phone's deafault unlock code?i tried 0000 but it doesnt work

  • Alls i did on this phone was text. No problems happened with the phone until it fell of my bunk bed and the screen cracked. I guess its fragile. But i had it for about a year and nothing was wrong with it.

  • I currently own an LG VU CU920 (the one with the television feature) it is a great phone as far as I am concerned. The antennae works for the television feature from AT&T, you can subscribe to it. I live in Karachi, Pakistan. Got this phone from USA. I wish to trade this with nokia express music 5230

  • its actually a good phone except dat d screen messes up @ tyms.wts d essence of d antenna there?wanna know pls.LG kip it real.....

  • this phone is the worst phone ever made, think the manufacturer should have been thinking really hard before putting this phone on the market.Owl idiot phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this phone is no good at all becuse mines will get stuck on me

  • this phone is really bad.the battery is not even good.im only twelve a 3 year old would know not to get dis phone lata succas %Pr

  • this phone sucks alot i had it .it always freezes and only good thing about it is the tv .i trade it for the lg incite its way better

  • Beautiful phone!! No problem in last 18 months

  • Don't ever buy this phone, it is a disaster. The first problem i had with it was the music player stopped working. I would got to open up my songs but none them would show up. I sent it in and now the new one I have has gone bad as well. It will only stay alive long enough for me to have a 1 minute conversations then it shuts off. My warranty is p so I can't send it in anymore. I'm switching to Samsung because I'm tired of these problems.

  • im having a problem with charging my phone. i plug it in and all that happens is the lg symbol pops up and turns back off, the only charger that works is the usb charger

  • This phone is terrible. The touch screen mess up all the times. After having it for 7 months, the touch screen no longer work. Trade in for another and the same thing happen.

  • i am using LGCu915 mobile, i am notable to access the GPRS. all providers are telling "" you are not allowed to subscribe the service". since it is purchased in America. Is there any software to update my mobile to access GPRS.

  • this is a LG NOT a samsung

  • I am not happy with this phone!!!

  • i only had the phone for nine months and the phone screen died and was told by my phone company to get a prepaid phone wasnt able to get a upgrade it really sucks because every phone i had by samsung died before a year . samsung please improve the quality of your phones i know u guys wanna make money but if u make a good product u would do better with sales.

  • i only had the phone for three months and the phone died and was told by my phone company to get a prepaid phone wasnt able to get a upgrade it really sucks because every phone i had by samsung died before a year . samsung please improve the quality of your phones i know u guys wanna make money but if u make a good product u would do better with sales.

  • what type of battery charger

  • the touch screen went out after 15 months! Don't buy unless you buy the insurance....

  • I don,t like how the musicplayer don,t back while playing. The factory battery are not strong and the phone is always hot while playing.I need the case for the phone. How can i get it.

  • this problem(the charging problem) can b coped by using a desktop charger which connects the battery only to itself this way sucks but it helps 2

  • This phone really sux. the touch is not as resposive, texting is nearly impossible and takes twice as long. its a pain to add people to the address book coz the touch querty is so difficult. Even dialing numbers is a pain as you can easily make mistakes on the touch pad. My phone screen froze after 9 months and had to be repaired, which didnt even resolve some issues..ringtones for mp3 have to be cut down to 30 secs before use and overall a very boring and dull phone..the only pros are the weight of the phone and the screen size.

  • My charger port broke to, so now i have to get the samsung a887 my sister has that phone... and i didnt really like it but it has pretty descent reviews and it does have cool options so mabey i'll learn to grow to it. B/c i did love my Lg Vu.

  • This phone was great until out of nowhere the charging port decided to not work again, if your an owner you know its a struggle tryng to charge it. well i bought 2 and both went to the drain because of the charging port. maybe i charged it wrong or something but becareful with the charging port extremely sensitive.

  • Hey Ayannah that's a wonderful name and um I would say the LG Vu. and plus the Lg Vu is on the top 10 phones of 2009 coming in at number 3

  • I was planning on getting this phone for Christmas but I was wondering if you fellow GSMARENA Goers can tell me what are the pros and cons. --->>Also is the LG Vu or Samsung Eternity better?

  • I can't use this phone in 900 Mghz... WHy?????

  • other than the 3G provided by AT&T, by any chance can this phone's 3G be activated via other service provider?

  • call at&t i always accidentally lock my phone

  • this phone was out in 2008, and lacks features present on stuff from the 90's...just like all these phones now adays

  • ive. had this phone 4 tas week but still lil use ive been using my gd330 cys the battery life sucks n locks too fast cus u yse a lot of phone cards... but i dun kno bout the extra 3g features... straight up as a reg phone i dun lik it too much.... ive had 2 smart phones so far this 1 aint bad but i still dun lik it.... i wouldnt reject but the only reason y i got it was cus it was free w/ a upgrade....

  • my phones battery started to die out after 11 months... i still love it but the battery life is ridiculous!

  • my touch screen continues to freeze and I am unable to make or recieve calls, or txt messages

  • Finally got rid of this phone after 6 months! Nothing went wrong with it but its a phone that has a lot of kinks to be ironed out: 1. The keyboard, despite attempts to reconfigure, is still quite inaccurate when texting. During a call the keypad locks after 5 seconds. I spent quite a well with some techies online changing this because its impossible to do anything that requires keying after a call has been made otherwise. 2. The alarm clock is not independent of the ring volume. Therefore, if you left your ringer on low or on vibrate youre going to sleep in. 3. There is a delay in opening applications. 4. The screen is impossible to see in the sunlight. 5. The is a fragile little flap protecting the charger/headphone connector 6. The camera is very poor and pictures useless. 7. Stand-by time is a couple days at the most and if you talk on it youre going to need to charge it every night. Looks cool but isnt cool! Id stay away.

  • Is there a way to save more than 150 text messages? I have a 2gb memory card but have to keep deleting them. Good phone otherwise but completely useless because of this.

  • I locked my phone on acciedent. And it says i need a PUK code. Where can i find that code.

  • Hi guys..Would you know how much the phone cost these days? I would like to know.. thanks!

  • get to ur music player library n get it updated then ur song will be updated to ur music player library thn u will able to listen ur song

  • go service provider website you should able to download MMS,internet as well.

  • heyy i hve downloaded song in memory card... but it not come in music player... how can it come in music player?? i cant do other task while listning music.. plz be needfull to solve ma problem..

  • The unkocking key is a problem if you have to call the Bank and wait for assistant or other... you have a big proble. I got the phone 4 free at Walmant with plan... I can not be complaining about it, but just for your info...

  • hi i have the phone and recently it started running low on battery, how do i turn off that 3G thing mentioned? it would be alot of help thanks

  • yeah that one too and also if you want to store something in your memory card, there is no security feature where a third party will not be able to browse through your private files......

  • I don't like the lock feature. I deselected the auto lock, but it still locks during a call. I must continuously unlock.

  • I recently had the phone but since I am not in the US I have a little problem with the sending of MMS as there are no settings avavilable in the country I live in. The phone is good but not that great coz it was not Wi-Fi compatible only WAP and with WAP you get slower internet access and most of the time no connection at all. Well I guess I was too excited to own a touch screen phone so I purchased this from a friend in the US without researching so much about it. But if anyone can provide me with a website where I can get settings for the MMS feature or if anyone knows any settings for this phone, then I would very much appreciate it. Please help, my email address is [email protected]. Tnx.

  • i ahd this phone before and i can just say that this phone is realy good except its batery life

  • You're "blind"?! You may need to rephrase that a little.... Did you mean you need to wear glasses to see the small fonts on the phone or you're color blind?... The fonts should be adjustable...

  • I Have this phone It's the best phone I have battery give best time but I want to transfer my contacts saved on my PC from nokia,How I transfer it to this mobile.I tried by bluetooth, they transfered but not set alphabatically Kindly guide me

  • What is the difference between the CU915 and TU915? Isn't the TU915 the CU920; only difference is TV?

  • Hi there! Both my little brother & sister both have this phone in both colors. I couldn't use the phone cuz I am blind but i did do some research on these phones. Whoever owns this phone should go to there, i read lots of things about this phone & what it can do. I also downloaded 141games for the phone & they all worked great on the phone from what my brother says. They both told me that the phone is great & there is really nothing rong about it other than it gets durty fast. Overall, a deasent phone.

  • and guess what in the real world no one cares what you know, just be happy with your custy phone and move on...btw tu915 is drastucally better than this phone fast 3g too, the only thing this has is led flash

  • how much is this phone?

  • love this phone did so much research on it getting it for my 10th birthday i know a lot for a 10 year old trust me

  • I have had this phone for nearly 10 months now and haven't had a single problem. The battery life is just too good - I charge once and although I don't talk that much, it runs for nearly a week! And it takes just about an hour to charge fully again. The camera is pretty good - the phone does not have a LED flash, so pics don't come all that great in low light. But under bright light, the pics are unbelievably awesome! The phone does not come with a USB cable or an extra memory card - you'll have to buy them separately. Also, it's not enough if you just buy a USB cable since the phone's internal memory cannot be used directly to transfer stuff to your PC and back - you'll have to transfer to the memory card first and then connect the phone to the PC and transfer data. If you buy them, then no problem at all. I haven't had any problems with the touch screen as well. So far it's been responding just like its brand new. The best part is that the screen does not take scratches at all. I think the front is some kind of scratch resistant layer. Just rub with a moist cloth and it's as good as new! There is definitely a bit of learning curve involved with the QWERTY on screen keyboard. Even after months of use, you do tend to make the odd mistake but hey that happens with any phone. All in all, a pretty good phone that packs in some good features, style and good looks!

  • Honestly is this a good phone to have? i dont talk plenty on a phone, i just want something with style and good features

  • my batteries horrrrrible!

  • The battery isn't good at all. If you use it daily it needs to be charged every night. Don't expect to listen to a lot of music without charging earlier.

  • Guys, if you live in an area with no 3G coverage then turn off the 3G. When the phone is searching for a 3G signal it drains the batterey very quickly. When the 3G is turned off it almost doubles the battery life. Seriously you should try it.

  • My battery is horrible 2!

  • i do not agree . my battery is horrbile. maybe i have a defect.

  • The battery life is GREAT.. I can charge it sunday night and all through the week i text all the time and i wont have to charge it til thursday night..And the charging only takes about 30 minutes

  • hey i want to know if the battery life is good on this how many times in day would u think i would have to charge the battery

  • this phone is great. the touch screen has no issues what so ever! i love this phone and i difinatly think that there r no problems with it at all!!!

  • how can you solve that smart chip thing even thoug your sim card is inserted? tnx a lot.

  • I don't like the lock feature. I deselected the auto lock, but it still locks during a call. I must continuously unlock. Touch screen fine. easy to read display. Doesn't ring loud enough for me

  • Can someone tell me if this phone is really reliable or not? Is the touchscreen have any issues?

  • Touch response time is pretty slow QWERTY Keyboard is easy to make mistakes on (even after months of use) Simply a phone with a touchscreen menu, no redeeming factors to the touch screen other than that Camera has a purple tinge as well. Feels too light, like a toy. If you're going to buy this phone, don't expect much features-wise. Looks nice though.

  • Have had the phone for a month and so far I have nothing but good things to say about it. If going up against the Iphone it would go down in a head to head battle, but go down in a hell of a good battle. If youre looking for a phone that you're going to talk on a lot hands down this is much better than the Iphone everything about talking on this phone blows the Iphone away. Texting it holds its own against the I phone I like texting better on this phone than the Iphone because it offers feed back when you push a key and it offers the T9 style which is always good when driving. On the APP side its ok thats there the Iphone has a knock out punch apps and internet are much better, but the VU is quick on the net and does the job if your looking to use the web options once in a while. The other thing I love about this phone is it's size and weight its a million times better than the Iphone its light weight and for someone who doesn't like things in my pockets I love the size and weight. All in all I give this phone an 8.75 out of 10.

  • i got this phone the new version of it is perfect never messes up or anything and is extreamly strong

  • Which software should I used for synch my Outlook contact and calendar.. what is provided with the phone does nothing like my old Sony Ericson or Nokia I had? Please give the name or link where I should request. Thanks

  • you just have to hit the button on the side of the phone, you don't need to touch anything on the screen.

  • i really want this phone and i get it n a week!!!

  • Does this phone support video calling at all..??? if it does iam guessing one way

  • Yes I agree this phone really sucks!!! it's great for a few months, then the touch screen goes out!! Aa first it will start moving slower to your touch responsed, and I even over looked the full keyboard messing up by freezing and going crazy!!! I got this phone at the end of last year, and already have to send the phone back to lg for repair in a record breaking less than 4 months!!! My VUE doesn't have water damage, no scratches, and has never been dropped!!! and DEAD IN LESS THAN 4 MONTHS!! I have never been so let down my lg!! not to mention lg customer service told me this is the best phone out right now!!! DO NOT BY THIS PEACE OF CRAP!!!

  • This is a terrible phone. Do not waste your money. Here are all the basic things wrong with this extremely annoying phone: 1. MP3 Ringtones can only be set that are less than 300 kb and less than 20 seconds in legth, so u have to cut and trim your songs. waste of time 2. FILE transfer is a pain!! to transfer pic via bluetooth you have to individually sit and send it to your pc, no option to send all or view all files from phone to pc. its ridiculous. 3. camera quality is not too great and pics do not change to widescreen upon flipping the phone. its manual. 4. the lg pc suite that comes with the phone does not work with the lg vu. will not recognize or give your problems with files. 5. cannot change the shortcuts on the phone. ur stuck with internet based links you may never use on the main phone display. unless u switch it off completely. If a phone cant give basic low grade features like mp3 ringtones, easy file transfer and user options to customize phone..i think its a piece of crap I have to find a buyer now.

  • The only problem with this Phone is the touch screen. It stops working completely within few months and doesnt cover under warranty("screen bleeding"). It tests your patience every time and all your contacts are stuck in the memory and does not allow you to retrieve the information coz of the touch screen. Beware to save the information in your smart chip. LG manufacturers has to review this issue desperately. Overall I would rate this phone 4.5/10

  • i have this phone and i think it works great. ,My only problem is that it breaks easily .

  • ya to unlock the phone you just hit a button on the front bottom of the phone and at the same time while your hitting that hit the lock button on the side it is second up from the bottom

  • how hard do u have to puch on the screen

  • best best best best and i watched the superbowl for $5.00 on the phone awesome

  • is it shiny?????????? i live shiny phones not the ones that look plain

  • yupppp i got this phone no problems !!! and the keyboard is just to perfect......

  • how can you use an mp3 as the ringtone?

  • This phone is awesome with the heptic feedback now u know if u hit a key or not n with mobile tv u can watch tv whenever u want i highly RECOMMEND phone 2 people who text a lot or surf the web.

  • I have the LG Vu (cu920 model) offered thru AT&T in the U.S. This is a great phone. Reception and clarity are perfect. Awesome speaker phone. Has a great 3" tactile touch screen. Pretty easy to type on and can easily change to landscape orientation for typing. Not a full "smart-phone" but a great alternative. It is lightweight and easy to carry. Haven't had it long enough to comment on long-term wear and tear. Menu is easy to navigate and easy to load mobile pages and data content - easy to surf and navigate. Gmail doesn't run in the "Mobile Email" config thru AT&T/LG software but you can easily download the mobile app or run thru web browser. So far I love it! I am giving it a 9 for design, 8 for features and 9 for performance.

  • I got the phone b4 like 7 months and so far it's amazing with no problems. And f u txt all the time, qwerty keyboard is super awesome when u get used 2 it. RECOMMENDED :)

  • How do u upgrade it?

  • where can i find its softwares?

  • I bought this phone last summer, a few week after it came out in Montreal. This phone is amazing. I payed $475 and do not regret it. Still today I am in love with this phone. I have read other reviews mentioning problems that occurred with the phone, but I've had it for almost a year now and I still haven't have any problems. If you love touchscreen phones and QWERTY keyboards on your phone, this phone should be on your list. The only thing that might be added to make it better is a Wi-Fi connection, have more option for application while being on a phone call. One thing that really bothers me is the fact that I am not able to change the applications on the Shortcut Menu. If anyone is able to do that.. plz let me know. Other than that... I LOVE IT!!

  • I had this phone for over a month. At first, I was excited to have a touchscreen phone but afterwards, the happeness was replaced by anger and swearing. First of all, I cannot text properly on this phone, its a joke. I hit wrong keys all the time. The menu is totally useless, those two tiny buttons on the top, how the F*ck am i suppose to push them, i keep pushin the wrong ones. During a call, i cannot access a full menu, thats a joke, its a must to be able to check email, texts and contacts during a call. I have a blackberry 7130G and it blasts this phone to hell. There are some good things about this phone, the call quality is good, reception is strong, battery life is acceptable. But the sound quality sucks for Mp3, the stock headphones are useless. Anyone under the impression that this is a smart phone, there are dead wrong, don't even try the webbrower, u can't click on links!!

  • i want to have this phone but i think it will be expensive..i already got lgku380 and its nice..i expect that the price of this phone will depreciate immediately so that i can buy..

  • im looking forwaerd to buy this phone its really good and cant wait to get mines ;)

  • i got this phone its a good phone and if anybody out there want one then you won't be making a bad choice

  • The VU is almost a smart phone in most respects. I have seen a lot of questions here and can answer most. 1 - The scheduling is great. You can synch the phone with a computer. And you can with a third party app synch to outlook. 2 - You can run most Java applications on the phone BUT you have to bypass the JAVA secuirity first. To do this there is a very actiove community at www.lg-vu.com. 3 - GMAIL client is no problem. If you use Rogers (like me) you can use Rogers Moblie Mail and get push email for $5 a month with some limitations. 4 - The touch screen is a pain in the ass as far as I am concerned. The buttons are too small and the system takes a lot of getting used to. 5 - You have a full HTML browser and there is little any carrier can do top charge you extra for surfing the web. You can get to any site. Just dont download anything to avoide extra charges. 6 - The browser is weak though. I often have trouble logging into Facebook or Yahoo!. Rogers suspects that it is my phone but I am still unsure. One thing I can say, using 3G is very fast for browsing on the Rogers Network. You get DSL speeds. No joke! 7 - You can use an MP3 as a ringtone but it has to be less than 300Kb. 8 - The user interface is horrid. The engineer should be shot. 9 - Reception and call clarity are amazing. Much better than any other phone I have ever tried. Bottom line - The LG VU is QUIRKY and you will need to hack the phone (not hard to do...) in order to get the full utility from it. HOWEVER with the option of push mail, unlimited browsing for $7/month you cannot beat it - for $37/month I have most of the power of a Blackberry for a fraction of the costs.

  • Does anyone know how to lock like menus, message and so on? or is it even possible for rogers version of vu?

  • Hey! u n how to unlock a cell phone so can u teach me? please!!!

  • what vidoe format does this phone support?

  • yeahhhh have to be MP3 file for ringing tone but only 40 channel to weak.. multiple ringing tone is 128k.. but 40 channel is only 32k for MP3 file... the quality is not that good....

  • can you use your mp3 music as ringtone for this phone? it seem to be too weak to support the file.

  • I got an unlocked LG VU 920 280.00 Never Ever Used. If you want it call 613-228-1132. Call only if seriously interested in phone. Thank you. I'm still waiting in the mail for it. I live in Canada and my parents live in US. I bought a iphone up here instead and I need the money.

  • I found that my internet would never work although i changed all network settings to the correct network i am using. However I was able to connect to the internet by accessing it through the icon (2 blue boxes) at the top right corner.

  • I'm interested in the phone! Can I have more details...like the condition, if it's unlocked, etc.

  • useless comment ive ever read! this phone is ok but no more. the touch screen wont react as well when you put a protective screen/shield (like the more popular one that has a lifetime warranty) so it is annoying. same thing if you put on a protective case like some plastic case sold online, well, the speakerphone will get too low volume as well.. OS/ interface is abominable.

  • Thanks, that was dead easy to disable the 3G on the LG VU. Unlock codes for LG VU are readily available on ebay, and are also a snap to do urself using ur phone's IMEI code. Get urselves a mirror screen protector and a crystal case for a real cool look for this excellent phone.

  • can anybody please tell me how to unlock this phone ? what is the code that put in it ? and how to put it in.

  • LG CU915 or CU920 Vu can't unlock by the smartsim... this phone is from AT&T company and only unlock with the code # and it's take 2 minutes to unlock... it's easy to unlock.. i'm using this phone with any sim...

  • how can i unlocked this phone? a friend from canada give me this phone, im from philippines, cannot be used on smart/globe zim cards. tnx

  • got this phone today from rogers canada. it wasn't necessarily my first choice - but it was one of the cheapest - only 29$ with mail in rebate. i have no opinion on how good or bad it is - i'm waiting til the battery is fully charged to play with it. my only comment for now is for those that want to get this phone: look for a good deal - my monthly plan is less than 30$ as well. will be back soon to post my review.

  • it fully says in the description, No WLAN.

  • is there any way i can use my own songs as ringetone on this phone?

  • yes

  • i think i might be trading my nokia 6500 slide for this phone, which one is better? and does anyone know if you can write messages on your home screen?

  • does it support Wi-Fi? plz answer quickly!!

  • Hi, i'm thinking 'bout purchasing this phone, so any opinions are always welcomed =) This phone is 3G, so would all the features still work if I don't go with the internet plan? (features such as gps,tv,etc) Have you had any problems with the touch screen? Thanks!

  • I absoulutely love this phone! Its great for texting, and messaging. The only thing that's bad is the battery dies in less than an hour when i watch t.v. or go on myspace mobile. For only short time periods.

  • Mine's okay as far as battery life goes. I use msn messenger and browse a lot but don't have a problem. I exit the browser and sign off msn whenever I finish using it though. I guess if you don't do that it will drain your battery quickly

  • does the phone support gmail in the email client?

  • the battery dies out quickly though im not using it that much!!

  • Type in on the dialpad 277634#*# then goto to modem settings/network mode/network mode then hit 2G only and it should only be edge and the gsm bands. Yes it will accept a higher rated amperage battery!

  • What about syncing capabilities? I really need it sync my calendar and contacts, but the YouTube video I just saw said it doesn't do it - is it true?

  • Does anyone know can this phone handle a "3.7V 1250mAh" battery? or does it have to be 1000mAh or less?

  • how do you turn off 3 g on the 920

  • I believe the max capacity is 4GB Micro SDHC...I tried to you the 8GB Micro SDHC but it was not compatible..If you want you could use the regular 4GB Micro SD...but I would suggest 4GB Micro SDHC because its a little bit faster...HC means High Capacity.

  • how do u bluetooth songs to ur phone 2 make a ringtone?

  • wat is the max memorycard campasity

  • your so right

  • Hated this phone had it 3 days before I just decided I wasnt going to switch back to att.

  • I personally think the phone is pretty awesome. :) I have to charge it every night though because of the short battery life. At the moment, I am very disappointed because the charger will not charge the phone. >:( And so, I am without a phone until further notice.

  • it has a inbox and outbox so you can read things from the past right? and can you save them if you want to keep them? and is the keyboard really confusing or simple

  • ps. for themes/apps/tweaking the phone, i recommend lists all you can do with ringtones, themes, games, etc. it also answers the question about ringtone restrictions . i think around 300kb, but dont quote me. try to google some more before you complain about this and that

  • i dont know where the low battery complaints are coming from. i go home from school on fridays and the battery lasts me the whole weekend before i go back to school to charge it. and i'm not just letting it sit there, i'm constantly playing games/texting/browing internet. hard to believe i'm the only exception among all of you

  • i have this phone for almost a month and i love it. i dont understand the bad comments on it. the touch screen is easy and the menu is simple. its extremely light compared to the iphone. the only problem i have with it is it doesnt have access to gmail mobile email. but other then that it is a great phone i would reccomend to anyone.

  • ? wheres the email

  • Yes you can use as ring tones I even had friends to text me some and I am using as ringtones. I think alot of problems with this phone is human error and not knowing how to us it.

  • Yes you have to pay 20.00 a month, also you need the LG VU920 for live TV.

  • I've had this phone since July (in Canada was available way earlier than elsewhere) and I have no good words for it. The battery life is ridiculously short (it's less than stated three hours of talk time!), the screen is completely useless on sunlight, the camera is below the today's standards, there is no additional software upgrade or any apps, no themes are available, the case is so easy to scratch and the interface for the comp-link is behind the competitors. Who's giving those high rate numbers and based on what?! The looks? If you actually possess the phone you'd think differently.

  • This phone has been a disappointment. I mean, everything seems good, the easy menu system and the touch screen option, but then hard-earn credits got forgone when it comes to the 2mp camera, sufficient but not sophisticated enough to match the other features, simply disappointing.

  • You can use any MP3 as a ringtone. However, there is a limit to the size and length. I don't know exactly what they are (can't find the documentation but through trial and error have found that out). I use audacity.com (free, small audio editor) to clip my songs into ringtones - then either bluetooth them to the phone or save them onto the memory card.

  • Can this phone switch to roam? I bought and unlocked it in the USA and want it to work with one of my Trinidad and Tobago sim cards but it's not working. What should I do?

  • Has anyone with T-Mobile had success with this phone? I know one person said they couldn't get the internet to work...but has everyone had that problem and also does the phonebook have groups so that texts can be sent to multiple people at once?

  • does the camera have a flash for pictures?

  • some u can but some u cant. you will be able to use any type of song as a ring tone when you unlock and flash your phone to get rid of all at&t software. i had the same problem on my old Sony ericsson before it was unlocked and flashed

  • does anyone know if you can use song as your ringtone..or you have to buy it through the AT&T ringtone shop? thank you

  • I transferred my pictures and music files from my computer to this phone. I could view all the songs in AT&T music but I couldn't find where my pictures located at.Can anybody help me out with this problem? Thanks a lot.

  • Does anybody know if the on-screen keyboard rotates when you rotate the phone? (just like the iphone)

  • Seems like it has up to 8GB

  • "Why would you want to turn off 3G?" Because it drains your battery, and is a waste if you don't have 3G in your area.

  • And no, the phone doesn't enable the saving of texts. Hurts my heart a little.

  • Why would you want to turn off 3G?

  • Hy people! If you ever been on site w w w . m y – d i v e r s i t y d e p o t i n c . c o m (I wrote address with spaces between letters because without spaces I can’t leave a comment, he tell me SPAM PROTECTION ), I want you to know that this man is a cheater! He represents with Patrick M. Peters! Of course, when you contact him he is “nice and friendly” person. But don’t believe on that like me! He works on this way: First you must send money to him, and than he send you a phone. But, after you send money you will see that all this is an lie! I send him money but he never sent me a phone! DON’T BELIEVE TO HIM!!! His details for money transfer: First name: Emma Last name: Depoe Address: 524 Gateway Dr, Tampa, FL 33615.USA OR: First name: Emma Last name: Depoe Address: 139 High Road, Tallahassee, FL 32304.USA. …but I believe that he has more than these two details, who know! I hope to help someone!

  • iam using this super cool phone for 1 and half months.i like evrything of it except it has some stupid java applications that i dont need, and they r non-removable.also it has a ver very very lil space for texts, only 150! certainly if i knew it before i wouldnt buy it only for this.in my old phone i got over 1600 texts saved(nokia 5700,used only 4 months).. keypad a lil irritative sometime, but its ok as long as iam not typing fast. i wish the size was lil bigger and i could take VGA videos so when i upload them youtube they look clear. well still i like this phon.

  • how big you can put memory card in it? i order for 4gb micro card and i just wanna make sure is it expandable to 4gb yes or no? thanks please answer me ASAP cause otherwise i will cancel my 4gb card order? thanks love this phone in black slim and light weight like nothing holding in your hand, and also how can i view my word documents, ppt? excel etc? thanks

  • How did you turn off 3G?

  • You will have to pay for it, nothing comes free =)

  • I really like the look of this phone. if you own one can you give me some basic info about the phone e.g. is it user friendly? Is is really big?etc

  • Of course you have to pay for it... watching tv you use phone internet... so at least you have to pay for downloaded data, unless you have unlimited internet

  • Anyone have this phone with T-mobile? (unlocked) I can't seem to get the settings to work for MMS and Internet. I tried the settings sent to my phone from the t-mobile site with no luck. Please help if anyone does! Thanks!

  • i just got my LG VU, how do you access doc viewer? is the specifications here are correct?

  • i heard this phone does not save your texts. is it true? and how is the battery life on the phone? i get mixed opinions for this question. last question. is the keyboard and touchscreen that hard? some people say the qwerty keyboard's keys are too tiny. is it really that bad?

  • i just got the phone yesterday....and i have a question and woundering if anyone can answer them for me.... 1. is watching tv free on the phone or you have to pay for it

  • thanks eric! i got the phone. i got the tv version. does anyone know how to turn off the 3g? thanks in advance!

  • pretty nice phone

  • You can still get them, they just hard to order, dont believe what those people tell you from the cell store. believe me they can GET it for you.

  • oh yeah, and to answer some questions: it takes sim card bigger sd memory cards make it go slow, I stick with 1 or 2 gigs, tops. it loads pictures faster when you don't have a million of them. Clear out some of your vacation pics onto your computer I suppose? The 920 and 915 are identical, except for the tv antenna. Not many channels, but you get some movies and comedy central. now for my questions.. how do you turn off 3g?

  • Wow, apparently I was the only one who got one with a bad battery... mine only lasts about 10 hours, with 15 minutes talking, 30 minutes on the web, some texting, and looking at pictures, the rest on standby. Gonna send for warranty on that battery. I like it, the battery is the only bad thing. Plus from the Media Net store you can buy a really cool 3d texas holdem poker game for the vu, and it makes work a lot more fun. NICE camera. wish it had more megapix though...

  • does anyone know if this phone is being discontinued? i tried looking for it in stores but everyone said its either discontinued or just on backorder. i really want one!

  • Some how the apps installed on the phone can not access the files. May be it is a security feature. So if you have a text file copied from PC to the phone and want to use an TextEditor application to view it, you can not do it. As I said it may be a feature than a problem.

  • well, ive recently bought a brand new LG VU CU 920... let me say this, if you do not have 3G service where you live, i suggest to turn it off... i turned mine off and i got 6 hours of continues talk, yes from full battery, i was just so curious, it says 3 hours and i just wanted to test it out with 3G off... if the results were still 3 hours, then i would have returned this phone,... but since it wasnt, im keeping this phone, already hacked into it... so im keeping this phone, but to anyone who wants maybe around double the talk time, turn off 3G and just stick to 2G...

  • MAybe if it had wi fi ..... it would b 1 of the best :S ...... not sure if i should get it ...

  • Just ordered 2 CU920.

  • lg make stylish.. sexy looking fones... but they seem to leave all the features out... stick the 5 mp lens and video they had in the lg viewty and add wireless and a lil more memory to this device and you have yourself a lil competitor... CUASE AT THE MOMENT MY n82 wins all around it!

  • I have had this phone for about 2 weeks now and i have to say it is the best phone i've ever had!!! Everything works great on it and the touchscreen is really easy to text on especially for someone like me with big fingers and the t9 is amazing on it also. dont hesitate if your thinking about getting this phone...GET IT!!

  • I have the CU920 (TV) model. First thing I noticed was poor battery life. The battery lasts about 36 hours despite very little phone use. I had to switch off the feature that gives you feedback when you touch the screen and that improved battery life to a little more tolerable level. The touch screen makes me "all thumbs." It is tough to type the correct key without using a pen (no stylus is included with the phone). Viewing the web on the tiny screen is a waste... it is too small to be useful and nearly impossible to click on web links. I have found good call quality in most places. If you are on a call that requires pressing a key during your call, you will find the "unlock screen" button to be a nuisance as the screen locks (and relocks) after about 2 seconds and requires you to repeatedly "unlock" the screen. So those annoying "press one for..." automated services become even more annoying. The screen gets dirty easy so I would recommend some sort of screen protector. The camera does have one nice feature... it has a self portrait mirror on it so you can take pictures of you and your friends without getting help from someone else. I don't know how well the TV works on it... service isn't available in our area for now. I also haven't been able to hear the music player because the phone does not come with any hardware to transfer files to it and I don't have anything else that will read/write a 4GB mini micro SD. The phone comes with a battery, a headset, and a wall charger. No instruction manual, only a CD. If you are not near a computer you cannot access instructions. It would be nice if they included an instruction manual, a cable to connect to your computer (so you could download files to the phone), and a protective case. The phone needs to have the GPS system so you could use it like a Garmin and it would be nice if it had a programmable garage door opener, car key fob learner, and univeral remote control. Then the phone would have everything. I am leaning toward returning the phone as I don't think it gives good bang for the buck. It was $149.99 after rebate and not worth more than $49.99 in my opinion.

  • I have had this phone for about 2 months now, and can give some better feedback on it. But firstly, I must say if you have a higher end cell or PDA by any manufacturer, please don't drop it or break it and then blame the manufacturer- thats just lame. Pros: -absolutely gorgeous display screen. -can take up to 4 GB memory card. -pc easily recognises phone as a mass storage device, so dragging and dropping files is easy- you don't need LG's software. -excellent volume on earpiece and speakerphone. -really fast 3G browsing- get a data plan as it can get expensive real fast. -menu is very straighforward and easy to learn. -excellent battery life- 4 days on standby. -plays gorgeous videos on landscape mode. -don't need a stylus as touchscreen works great. -can turn off ringer very easily, as well as increasing ringtone volume. Cons: -if you're a lefty, maybe not for you as control keys are all on the right side. -screen is really hard to read in bright sunlight. -screen is a finger print magnet. -no accelerominator or whatever that other phone has- you must push a key for landscape mode. -a bit big in width, but light. -has weird LG charging and earphone port. -QWERTY keyboard a bit small for some fingers. -can't change message or SMS alert tone, just ringtones. -a bit expensive maybe. And if you are prone to dropping stuff, at least buy a snap on clear case for 10 bucks, which will give you some added protection.

  • I had this phone for around two weeks, specifically the CU915 model. I am not very satisfied with it at all. Everything seemed alright at first and everything was fast, but then the phone seemed to start to go slower. I don't know if it is just me, but the phone takes a long time to load stuff, mainly music and pictures, especially off of a memory card. Besides that, just yesterday I took the phone out of my pocket and the screen was broken on the inside. I didn't drop it once since I got it. I must've leaned on something that made the screen back, but I didn't notice any pressure on the phone. A similar thing happened with my friend. He dropped the phone between his seat and center console in his car and picked it out, and the screen was cracked like mine. If the phones screen breaks that easily, I do not want the phone.

  • 1 thing anoying me about this phone is you cant use a downloaded ringer for your txt ringer

  • what?? No wifi?? lame!!

  • does this use sim card ??????????????????????????????

  • does this have t9 in it i wonder and do it also set up like the i3G

  • Im getting this phone on thursday and I watched the youtube vids on it and im loving it!!!!WOOOOOOO

  • this phone is no where near better than the omnia i mean it has divx & xvid, the omnia is unstoppable

  • how can u say it's better than the Omnia? 2 megapixel camera.. No Wlan.. No video call.. Interesting..

  • I just ordered the phone from ATT. So excited. The phone is light skinny and the touchscreen is definitely better than any HTC phone. Not as good as iPhone but at least you're not stuck with the 30$ data plan.

  • Can you upload video files onto the Micro SD (such as music videos) and watch the videos on the phone for free? Thanks!

  • First of all can someone tell me what this means AT&T mobile TV (CU920 only) and handsfree. Also does anyone know when this phone comes out in australia and how much it will be? Thankyou for ur help Sarah

  • This looks like the hottest phone that LG has produced.I was just wondering before i get it.. how wide is it?..no matter what i seriously think that this phone is the best i have seen from LG.well done!

  • Im getting this phone tomorrow.. so far I only have watched so much of LG Vu videos and Im addicted to it!! I think its a really good phone

  • This phone is the best ....its better than samsung OMNIA...LG is really doing a great job.

  • no...but if u r using the 3G data of ATT you my download a GPS software in ur phone. but it has no wifi any way...

  • No I don't see it in the features.

  • does anybody know if i can install another language on keyboard ex) korean i was able to install korean keyboard on my jailbroken ipod touch but i don't know if i can do the same on this phone..

  • Is this phone has a wifi or GPS?

  • yeah there's also a case for this unit...same as the Iphone 3g

  • Does this phone come with a case like the Prada?

  • I have the phone, i have had it for like 6 weeks now, the screen does not scratch easily at all, if it does get a scratch u can just buff it out with a cloth, the battery doesnt last that long though, like in a day it will be down to the last bar if u text and all the other features are being used, over all its a awesome phone though, a full keyboard pop ups on the screen to type with when u text so it pretty nice.

  • Canadien provider rogers has had this phn 4a few months nw,alltho they share most wit at&t nice phn.. nt a smartphn and bt still nice..bell canada has one similer aswell only it has a slide key pad

  • This phone would be super and considered one of the best on the market.... BUT! It's really too bad the screen isn't transflective (MUCH easier to see in direct sun or bright conditions). Why, oh why don't manufacturers consider this on these full-screen mobiles that have no keypad. Transmissive-only screens on such phones is just silly and shows lack of forethought! Would you be able to use a laptop in direct sun? Nokia and Palm seem to be the only manufacturers that offer transflective screens which are a savior in bright conditions. Problem is many Nokia's suffer from bad earpiece speakers (bad volume and/or lots of buzzing/interference). Oh well! So much for this phone... :(

  • if you guys havent noticed, at&t is selling the iphone, and at&t if selling the lg vu. at&t is selling both, so stop complaning bc both phones are made from the same service!

  • This phone is awsome, it didnt copy any other phone but its self. You guys saying its not a good phone. Yes, mabey its not the best phone in this world, but it ALOT better than some phones out there.

  • This phone is awsome! I can't wait to get it. I wanted to know if it has good service and if it allows you to play a full song when you want to listen to it. Thanks :) -Sam

  • have a coulpe of questions about this phone. 1. Does it have expandable memory. 2. Is the screen on it scratch resistant, does it scratch easily etc. 3.On average with pretty good usage... how long does the battery last?

  • The LG Vu does not come with a stylus. The thing you saw coming out of the corner was the antenna for using mobile TV. And that only comes on the 920 not the 915

  • released same day as iphone.,just at 200 dollars same with iphone 8gb 3g...

  • can some one clarify that where is the stylus? in video i saw something like stylus however the speaker said it is antenna for the TV or something like this. I would like to know about the stylus and for sure i will get this phone rather than iPhone. i can't afford iPhone $30 for the data plan sorry this is better than iPhone i think. also is the screen protected like iPhone? thanks

  • I have a coulpe of questions about this phone. 1. Does it have expandable memory. 2. Is the screen on it scratch resistant, does it scratch easily etc. 3.On average with pretty good usage... how long does the battery last?

  • too bad it doesn't have wi-fi functions...

  • Is the screen scratch proof like the iphone?

  • How can you say the armani came first? it was announced in Sept 2007 and released shortly after, the iphone was announced in january 2007 and released late june of 2007. can you explain how the iphone copies the armani?

  • it is very beautiful and very good .i like the touch screen of it

  • i meen prada woops

  • ummm ok 2 things was there not already a vu a tu915 or sumthin that is gone from this site now? and the original b4 iphone was samsung armani. so every1 is coppying that not the iphone

  • May a good phone

  • if someone said they copied from Iphone and they are right, do all smart phones are copied from Black Berry? Iphone was just first time, now, it has nothing special.

  • @cubata Glad to hear you're happy with your LG on Rogers. I'll add this phone to my list to check out when I upgrade.

  • I got my LG VU from Rogers on a corporate upgrade for less than $250.00 CAD. Beautiful touch screen with simple menu layout. Excellent sound and volume from earpiece and speakerphone. Gorgeous colour graphics, very easy to read in sunlight. 3G browser is very fast and virtual QUERTY keyboard is super. Camera functions like a real camera, and everything comes to life via that awesome 3" display screen. Well done LG!

  • i agree with you, the battery life is horrible. And it's copy the idea from iPhone!

  • This phone frozed and locked on me after just 1 day of use. It's just an eye catcher nothing more. This phone sux.

  • Not impressed that songs you place on this phone can't be used as ring tones

  • iPhone in no way is a failure, well actually maybe the camera. iPhone + SDK or Jailbreak = amazing. This phone is garbage, the battery life is horrible, for a touchscreen phone it cant do much, and costs too much for the little it can do.

  • I agree remember people LG was the first to create the finger touch screen (the LG chocolate has been out for a few years now in south korea!) and I have it and love it more than I would love an iphone you cant watch tv on a iphone!

  • umm lg has been making cell phones way long before apple began to even think of making the iphone besides the iphone is a failure i think they should stick to making ipods and mac books not cell phones LONG LIVE LG!

  • htc diamond...

  • i dont kno why ppl r flipin ovr the iphone n u have phones like these that are better & cheaper!!!1

  • what channels are on the tv ?? im thinking about getting it.

  • My recommendation will be this ...People, if you are looking or you want buy phone for special TOUCH PHONE, then dont think even 1 sec, and g buy only IPHONE, but, if you guys want buyer phone with touch screen and mms or more great options, then buy this phone LG..Because still today no one company made TOUCH SCREEN as APPLE ( IPHONE )...I used this phone ( LG VU ) about 3 days and i return it, because before i was using iphone, and it was not comfortable for me use this phone after IPHONE....But still this is nice phone too...

  • The TV feature on this phone is so stunning!

  • id perfer ks20 much more luxury and runs on wm6 but cost more, but its worth it

  • Yes WIFI would be the only missing feature i could want in this phone, but also the haptic feedback could use a little work, like not such a long vibrate when you push a button on the screen

  • all around is it worth the money for the phone

  • QUADBAND that is amazing.. about time lg!!!!!! good job

  • to all the people saying this or either of its sister phones (Viewty and Prada) are a iphone "clone" or "wanna-be" have a look at the history of the release of the Prada and the Iphone. For a while LG had a law suit being processed against apple for copying aspects of the Prada. I dont believe these amounted to anything. But if one were to have copied the other it would be fair to say the I phone copied the Prada (the first in this line of LG touch phones). Not to say these are better or worse than the iphone. Personally I prefer the Viewty to the current iphone

  • i've had the cu920 for a month now and i really like it. the touch screen is very nice and reacts nicely after you do a touch set up. it scrolls through all the pages similar to the Iphone not as smoothly but it does a good job at it. the battery life is great. the internet is faster than Iphone. i love the light weight and smaller size than the I. i would prefer a titanium housing and would have no problem paying extra. the camera says 2 meg but it takes good pics and with the telephoto it does a nice job it has the features of a reg camera so that's cool. the qwerty is great to have for texting but lacks spell check who really cares about that. the sound is pretty good but maybe a bit tinny as every phone i've ever had has been. with the head phones on the sound is pretty good with only a few preprogrammed tones but no adjustment for bass/treble. the micro sd is hidden away would rather have quick access. the tv works great. all in all i'd give it an 8.5 out of 10

  • i like to see more picture for phone model lCU915 Vu

  • you don't know what your talking about htc and windows mobile is absolute s}{it lg vu is the best htc touch is the worst phone ever especially the old d600 get with the times pal.

  • f that phone no use at all at least my samsung d600 had a tv out i have the htc touch this is not windows mobile lg are just stupid touch screan for fun is bull shi looks and features it looks bad and the features are bad

  • I tried thetouchscreen on this phone and I hve to say it's very good, well I think.

  • Iphone is for noobs... With my memory card for my VU... I can get whatever I want and not give my hard earn cash to apple and Itunes... Yeah its light but so is the duo and touch dual... If you wanna brick go buy something else...

  • this phone is tight

  • i checked out this phone the other day and it's super light. it looks cheap though, like as if it could be a knock off phone. poor touch sensitivity.

  • This is touch screen phone, yes i know, but, still all phone company's cant make touch screen phones as Apple IPHONE....I know iphone missing couple of applications or futures, but iphone classic phone and the best Touch phone,...Lg VU great phone, but sorry, i cant use this phone after using iphone..

  • this phone is not bad but still just trying to emulate the iphone...

  • Phone rullz I will take it my brother have samsung armani and i will this

  • hey i love this phone... wow ummmm i love u LG CU915 Vu

  • If only it had wi-fi it i would of never even considered an iphone but it doesnt so...its just another iphone wanna be

  • the phones out in canada from rogers (provider)

  • i think this phone looks pretty slick...better then the iphone (my opinion)

  • ?????...why UI that phoe like chiness brand???? why with u LG????

  • alright, this phone is awsome, i bought it for 400 today and it is amazing, i had a iphone before this and i love the tv it has great signal and a excellent and clear display, i love texting since it goes qwerty and landscape. the camera shoots like 3.2mp and you are garenteed to have service everywhere

  • Ok I have AT&T CU 920 version (the one with mobile tv), I got it over a week ago and have to this phone has its pro and cons... PROS- Great mobile web broswer, but may run slow something(no Flash VIdeo player) Amazing mobile TV App, with great speeds. Fast CAmera App and descent Pics in good lighting. Vib feedback helps soooo Much when typing. Fast LG OS. CONS Touch sensitivity is poor. Keyboard is large enough but suck do to bad sensitivity and no d-pad to move back to previous words typed(cant do this well with fingers), also no spell checking. Horrible and useless video recorder. Expensive!! ....happy?

  • No wi-fi? Why do they keep doing this???

  • the phone will be 300 dollars with a 100 rebate. the touch screen even has some force feedback. i've had one for a few days now. it's no iphone, but the internet browser is much much faster (thank you 3g). the operating system lacks though, nothing triumphs over blackberry...

  • it is not "AT&T exclusive" it is coming to Canada too with Rogers Wireless

  • Talk time Up to 3 h That's it?

  • 2mp camera. o.o

  • Announced March 2007, & still not available. Much better choices now.

  • Dang! This phone is light [weight]!

  • Its really pretty but i cant find the price anywhere!!! i want it!!!

  • wow, well done LG, i'm originally a SE fan but this phone looks good and has decent features. Needs WiFi though, that's it's only downside in my book

  • How to order? [email protected]

  • Wow i do like this one. I am very disappointed in the fact that it did not have wi-fi. :( But this will be a phone worth getting. And i hear the Mobi-TV will only be 10-15 dollars more

  • their taking the whole "viewty" interface to the extreme, this phone wont sell much, especially when they brought phones out that have 5mp camera and wifi, why bring one out with a 2mp camera and no wifi!!

  • i agree. it is a beauty. LG should really campaign this.

  • Whoa...This is one good looking phne...Bravo LG!!!
