Been using this phone for 2 years. Phone lags and slow after I installed few applications. Had to wait 3-5 seconds just to open my text messages or make phone calls. blurred picture quality on slight movement. Not advisable to install many applications. Performance went okay after I reformat my phone. This phone is decent enough for its price. Perfect gift for your partner (if you are not married yet) to test his/her patience.

This is a good phone and might actually be my favorite because of two reasons - perfect size and removable battery. It's worst aspect is the LG skin is laggy. I just turned off animations and use Textra over the laggy Messages app. Mine is the D724 dual sim model which is also rooted. It offers a decent camera for its price, long battery life especially standby, good audio (external and internal), and I have the gold one which draws alot of stares. Mine is already 18 months old and I can tell the battery isn't holding up like it used to. Maybe a 10% degrade since I rarely used it the first six months I had it. It will still degrade just by its age. But since it has removable battery, I could use it for as long as I can compared to sealed ones. This phone actually seems better to browse and download than the Note 3. Imagine Snapdragon 400 v 800 and the former wins? That's how badly Samsung is with software skins. The size is another issue for me. LG G3 S is as large as I want to go. I generally use this phone as a secondary and my main music phone since the headphone jack is perfectly positioned when inside my holster case. The internal audio is also the best of the bunch. But among the five phones I own, I say this phone has the least weaknesses and its glaring flaw (occasional lag and stutter) is something I am willing to live with. My dream phone is the V20 but I say my gold G3 Beat still looks better than it and more comfortable to hold with one hand.

Just dont listen to anyone who says this is a good phone... I have this phone for the last 6 months and I'm always grumpy about it. There are only two good things about this phone. The tap wake up and the camera.. but these features are available in so many phones in this price range which work better than this stupid phone.. if anyone says that 1gb ram is enough for a phone in today's age, then eitherhe can be an apple user or someone who uses the phone only for calling.. the 8 GB memory is just an illusion, as it preoccupies 5 GB of it. The phone is great, if it lags or it's slow it't because of the user, 1.2Ghz and 1Gb RAM is enough for a phone to work smooth. Also, it has a SD card slot for a reason, use it, a memory card is really cheap and saves lots of space. If it still works slow become a developer, play with some settings, carefully, you can screw up the device. If it still works slow root it, cumstom ROM and kernel. I see no reason why you wouldn't do it. And srsly now, don't upgrade, kitkat is good, if you want a more recent version of android, get a more recent released phone.Those are just suggestions, if you don't know how to root or manage developer options learn or don't do it.I am not responsabile for anything that could happen with your device. The G3 S is a relatively good phone for its time period, however the software issues can be annoying sometimes. Many users report the disappearing keyboard problem, which I seem to have as well. Updating to the latest Android version does not seem to fix this issue. Despite this, the phone is worth its price. I purchased it for $220 a few months ago, and it is worth its price.

I agree with the previous posts, The the keyboard is very slow to popup its very anoying having to wait 10-15 seconds for the keyboard to popup. The other biggest issue with the phone is that you only have about 3gb of space for apps you want to download. My phone has only 300-400mb free space left and I only have chat software installed(Had to uninstall facebook and skype because of space issues). Only has youtube,FB Messager, Whatsapp installed, and phone is out of space.

I think the problem was already solved since the lolipop 5.1.1,most of lg phones become much more better since that version. My g3 has no problem at all,i bought it at december 2015 and i could play nova 3 without lags (g3,not g3s). If g3 could become better,then,the g3s will be better of course. Even it can't play heavy graphics games, it will be comfy enough. I replaced my redmi 1s (which is a snapdragon 400 phone) and i didnt face any problem on my 1s. If there's no improvement on the g3s,you could replace your phone with 1s (if you're (sorry) a lower man), or g3 if you are a middle man. G3 is only 3.5 million rupiahs or about 200USD and it is still the best phone i've ever used!

Both my wife and myself have this phone for about 9 months. We are very unhappy with the lag in both typing in a browser and taking photos. We switch to these after having a Note2 and S3. Download KingRoot for one-click root. Then download Roehsoft RAM Expander. Just download the apk for them somewhere online. If still on KitKat which can't write on sd card, download SDFix. Roehsoft basically made my LG faster and smooth. A huge lifesaver. I created 1.6 VRAM for it and everything flies. When I check my RAM usage which won't show with VRAM, I only have less than 200 MB RAM left. But guess what? With Roehsoft, my LG flies through everything. My setup as follows - Nova Launcher Prime (speed set to FAST and ICS animation) Developer Option set to 0.5x animation to all. KingRoot autostarts only certain apps... Double tap gesture from Nova is Greenify Hibernation and Lock. Roehsoft RAM Expander created a 1.6 VRAM for me. Textra app replaced the laggy LG texting app.. Everything is awesome now with this phone! I love Android. I made a slow vehicle and got to beat ones with double or triple the horsepower. Never have to worry about rooting or RAM thanks to both KingRoot and Roehsoft.

The LG custom skin is main culprit because my Lumia 640 has the same SoC and it is smooth. Now that is WP but I've tried Snapdragon 400 on other Androids and never had the lag prob. I was going to root it today because text messages is probably my #1 task on a phone and hated seeing the hesitation everytime I opened it to text. But I solved that text lag problem. Download Textra app, make it your default messaging app, and problem solved. It won't eliminate all the lag on the cp but at least your texting app is fast at opening and closing. LG default messaging apps sucks just like the custom skin. But with Android, there is always workarounds. I love this cp again thanks to Textra and getting my SwiftKey back. Texting was always my pet peeve on it because I generally love most things about it especially its decent camera, good speakers, and good battery life. I used to only get 3 hrs playing Plants vs Zombies 2 on my HTC One M7 and it ran hot after 20 minutes. With a modest Snapdragon 400 and plastic exterior, it never gets hot playing PvZ2 on this LG and I get 6-7 hrs of gameplay. Standby time is also fantastic. Screw flagships. Waste of money for ego. Stick to midrange or budget phones. All phones are disposal anyway.

My home screen on my phone takes 5 seconds to load when I have been on an app for no more than 2 minutes. It gets slow after a while in a lot of things since the processor isn't really up to today's standards, and it only has 1GB of RAM. It's only for basic things.

This is a good all-around phone better than the Moto G from 2013 and 2014. Perhaps surpasses my old HTC One M7 because of the long battery life and better camera. Only thing bad is it can hang sometimes with the 1 gig of RAM and the custom skin shows a little animation lag. Good camera Good loud speaker Good battery life Good screen Good size Good reception The selfie cam isn't sharp but I like the white light background which provides light in a dark room. The flash is also pretty strong. LG got most of the basics right with this phone.

This phone will not receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow Upgrade. The only way to get Marshmallow on this device is by Flashing CM13. After the phone upgrades to 5.0.2 Lollipop the Android Lollipop bugs start to slow the phone down and is really irritating thus flashing a custom OS like CM13 would be the best Choice.

its an option of your keyboard. access your keyboard setting and disable the vibrate on key press option. you can access the keyboard settings directly in your key board by long pressing the "," or "comma" and disable there OR by manually accessing the settings and searching for language and text and disabling it there

i have recently switched to cm13 on my Lg g3 beat d722 the best experience ever the stock rom android 5.0.2 v20b was laggy and ugly , just type lg g3 beat xda in google and try it , you can always return to stock if you choose to , the phone is pretty usable already in the nightly builds calls, camera, messaging , wifi etc almost everything works except Fm radio/nfc/ir never going back to stock rom Lg hardware is acceptable but software apalling..... and we are not getting any more updates from Lg (most probably) ...

I've had the phone for a year now, have dropped it multiple times, made smudges on the camera lens, but nothing has scratched it as of yet. So I'd say it doesn't scratch easily even though my butterfingers end up dropping it on hard tile.

People please. Be wise. Before you upgrade to lollipop you need to do factory reset (with backed up apps if you want), than after that you download latest version of android and install it. After installation, you need to reset to factory settings again and recover your apps. After that there will be no problem at all. It will run smoothly and faster. You can check it on benchmark test after update.

Dont buy this unit.. after 1 yr of using ( after end of warranty) the unit become defective, and when you will go to their service center, even though they will find out that only small part is damage.. their will tell you that they will need to replace the motherboard, and the board cost brand new cellphone. So they will suggest no need to repair. So it means the unit is disposible for only a year. And its so disappointing cause the amount of LG G3 beat is too high for only 1yr of useful life

I didn't want to spend a lot of money but I wanted something with at least a 5 inch screen. I decided on this because it was 4G capable and had a removable battery and it was $250AUD which was a good price. I had bought a $130 phone last year and it was terrible. I didn't want to buy another cheap phone but I couldn't afford a $500+ phone. I was comparing it with the Motorola Moto G 2nd Gen and that didn't have a removable battery so that's why I went with the LG G3 S (Beat). After having it about 4 months, these are the cons - not enough space. I have about 30 apps and ran out of space, even though I've got a 16GB memory card because you can't move everything onto the SD card. I tried deleting and moving as much as I could but the 8GB internal space is taken up with 4.22 GB Apps and the system data 3.24GB. I only have 100MB photos and videos, Audio - 144mb and downloads 552KB. That is tiny so its not my photos and docs taking up all the room. And it is laggy sometimes. It might be because I have hardly any internal space left, but if I want to have 30 apps, I should be able to. This would be a good phone for someone who doesn't have a lot of apps, like 10 - 20. I am getting a Samsung S5 soon with 16GB of internal memory so hopefully I'll be able to have all my apps. Another issue is the notifications tray, you swipe to dismiss notifications and they come back again. And the LED light is red. So its red when its charging, red when you get a message etc. That is a bit annoying. Apart from those issues, its a good phone. Its a good size, easy to use.

Yup, i agree. I updated to 5.0.2, restored factory settings, and never had a problem with my G3S. Battery life improved significantly and ofcourse the ui got smoother. People complaining about lag after the Lollipop update are either noobs too ignorant to know what they need to do or just a bunch of lazy fools who blame the phone for their own stupidity.

I totally hate LG G3 S D722 - this is my worst purchase ever. It began lagging after something 3 months of use. Later it got even worse after Android upgrade to Lollipot. The LG G3S has a much better screen (IPS vs TFT, Gorilla glass, more resolution and pixel density...). The processor is almost the same. No much difference about that. On the other side, the galazy grand prime has a better front camara... So it's a matter of what you need the phone for. If you are addicted to selfies, keep your prime. If you want a better visual experience, the LG is the option.

put your phone into, download mode.. normally power button and volumn down(check for your phone), and then wipe your delvik cache, and then reboot.. this should correct the issue and reboot into android.. some phones have this issue when updates happen. its normal..

I have a note2, and just bought G3S for my wife. There is no competition on which is objectively better. 2GB RAM phones overpowers 1GB RAM phones in many ways. You can actually feel the difference like when you forget to close apps or keep using multi-windows.. But subjectively, specially for non-power users, I can say you can't lose whichever you choose. I got this a week ago and i really like it. I had a HTC One X and I'd already replaced the screen twice then the battery died and since the HTC was getting pretty old, i decided to upgrade. But i couldnt afford a $500+ phone and didn't want to spend that much. I wanted to spend about $200AUD and i was tossing up between this phone and the Motorola 2nd Gen. In comparisons this scored slightly higher plus you can replace the battery easily, not like the HTC or the Motorola. And im really liking it. I cant compare it to more expensive phones and you shouldnt. But if you can only afford something in this price range, this is a really good choice. Reviews seem to be. really critcal of this phone but the only complaints i have is that the LED is always red and when you get a notification on the lock screen, you click on it then you have to swipe the screen to access it. Its an annoying little extra step but its not a deal breaker

Lg g3beat india. Updated the phone to lollipop and haven't had any problems what so ever. Did the factory reset right after the update.the phone is now more fluid and responsive than before. Ram usage remains under 50% unlike android kitkat.update is more of a visual overhaul with neat animations everywhere. Notifications are now on the lock screen. Camera is okay haven't changed much. battery back up is much more better now.

The only small "pproblem" is that the stock camera app has a make-up effect you cannot disable it..only change the value..i dont think its a major issue as the photos look pretty good..if you dont like that effect use another camera app..for example retrica. I hope this was helpfull😃

this is a really great phone i actually expected to be worst . . . but it isnt,and this is someone coming from a s5 mini . . . .sure it doesnt have the heartbeat sensor and the finger print sensor and its not water resistant like the s5 mini . . . but its got a much larger battery,a larger screen and it doesnt have a led screen but it has the IPS panel lcd and yes the lcd is more power hungry but the benefits is a shaper screen,non of that over produced colours and the bigger battery makes up for the lcd screen,and this phone may be more power hungry but i get may more standby time with it than with the galaxy s5 mini . . . .ohw and the ppi shown on this website is incorrect this website states that the dpi is 294 and its not its actually 360dpi . . . cuz this screen look way to crisp and sharp for a 294dpi screen and the laser focus is great!!!. . . would recommend this phone to anyone.

I have the LG G3 vigor, and it's quite possibly the slowest piece of junk I've ever owned. Can't run more than one application without it bogging down so I am constantly having to clear my recent apps. Battery life is fine, but I would rather have to charge my phone 3 times a day than deal with this lag. Going back to AT&T today and trying to exchange it. if you are opting for heavy usage of facebook and willing to add more euros then i suggest you go for g3 beat's bigger brother, the G3. In that way you will surely not regret it. Been using this phone for a month now, and I can say this: the battery last 25% more than my previous Lumia 720 using it on a 12 hour day basis which include lot of web browsing, blutooth and wifi connections. Screen is great, very good resolution, camera is good but I prefer to use the google cam app than the original LG app. Got very used to the back buttons, find them very well placed. Not as fast as I thought it was but is ok for me since I use it for work not playing. Totally recomend it.

Been using this phone for almost 2 weeks now and so far I have no problem with it technically. On the physical feature, I really do hope it has bigger internal storage. Kitkat seem to eat a lot of it's internal storage. And even though you can transfer some apps to sd, still when your external sd card is attached there are gb deducted to your internal storage. Also, anyone of you know if the protective lens of the camera is scratch resistant and if the Asian version also has Corning Gorilla Glass 3?

Hi. Im using this phone since first month of 2015. It has great stability. Its camera is very good with flash. But its front camera is not well at all. LG UI is one of most useful UI. Sometimes 1GB ram makes a little problem. But nothing at all. I can play high end games like Asphalt 6 , Dungeon Hunter 4. And I loved LG Backup. I love this phone because the camera and UI is great. What I do not like is that the memory is not enough for my apps especially when they update. I tried several microsd cards but the sd cards keep on corrupting. I can also move apps on my SD card and it functions well, but after few hours after my apps have been transferred the SD card corrupts and it won't function. Woah! Zenfone has one of the best cameras my buttox. 8 mega pixels is pretty good but most high end devices come with 13 mp up to even 48,(yes a phone does have 48 mega pixels). I love it mostly because of the superior LG User Interface. I got mine here in Manila on Saturday for Php 9990 including the free circle case. It is a dual sim model so it does not have LTE support which I was surprised to find out just after my purchase. I strongly recommend comparing this phone with the ASUS ZenFone 5 Lite which has very similar specs 8 GB Internal Memory and Great Battery Life and it is almost half price at Php 5500. Yes you can move big games to sd card, there is a lot apps that allow you to move data into the sd card but apps like facebook or whatsapp cannot be moved

I have G3 beat and it is satisfying. The design, the GUI, the screen is so perfect. A very nice companion. It can also run some heavy game with a mild lag, but its ok because of the specs. Although lack of performance specs, still proud to own this phone.

if you ask me i had zenfone6 it did not give justice to it's 13mp camera. the i found after a month of using that its too big and not that comfortable to operate in busy day. g3's hd screen is better. stylus has no hd screen. the battery performance on zenfone6 is weaker. the good is does a bigger RAM. so G3 Beat over Zenfone6. but if not HD screen is okay to you then go for G3 Stylus.

yes i had g3 beat and i just have upgraded to g3! for the g3 beat it is not a perfect phone but i does very good job in everything i did. the camera is really good sharper vivid, and it does good color reproduction than most 8mp cameras on the market. front is just 1.3mp but it does even better than other 2.1mp front camera on the market.( xperia z2's front cam) the knock code is one of my favorites its very useful and fun. a lot of great features on this phone. the design is really good in hand and very easy to operate using even one hand. the user interface is really good to me very simpler and clean , very customizable you can change icons in the way you want you can take photos and make it as your icons and many morel. the battery life is very good it lasts for almost 2 days for very moderate usage and a day for mixed used. the performance is good and you can expect a satisfying snapdragon 400 no lags in my experience i played coc and other games. so far so good. i recommended this for others.

I have swapped to the LG G3 mini/LG-D722/LG Beat (depending on what regeon you live in and what provider you are on) from a Xperia M2 and I prefare this one. The interface is a little more 'childish', in that it seems more 'bubbly' with its choices of colours and icon designs. It functions really well, it looks pretty good (polished-goldish-silverish) and is has a good feel in the hand. For a mid-range phone, I would say this is one of, if not the best, especially considering it has a pretty good 5" screen

I had L735 for 26 days and returned it, got my money back. I didn't like the OLED screen nor battery life and the phone charged superrr slowly Then I bought this LG G3 s because it was at a discount, paid 199� for this. It's awesome, even though I have hated Android this phone changed my opinions. Doesn't lag much even with those specs, but the cameras aren't nearly as good as on the Lumia. The only bad thing is that the SD card mounts itself every time I try to watch a video on it, browse the image gallery etc, but I think it's a software bug, I'll actually adress it to LG right after this.

I had compared both G3 and G3 S. I can say almost the same camera with only pixel difference. I compared it to my Tab s t705, at same 8 mega, G3 S got better and balance exposure, and more accurate color. UI is even smoother in LG G3 S than my G3, maybe due to its low 720p screen. Better battery than G3, downside is slow charger. So i used 1amp charger to fasten charging now charging time is lessen. 294ppi for display got advantages, smooth ui and longer battery. 294ppi is enough, you won't notice pixels anymore.

Not sure if it has CG3 protection but I dropped it 4' in a tiles and it only sustained a tiny scratch on top near the IR port, not a direct impact with the screen. The only downside of this great phone is the camera, even the 4 yr old S2 has much better photos taken. LG is not seruous about their minis unlike Sony with Z3 Compact which is almost high end.

they are pretty much equal. the g3s will consume more electricity due to the higher resolution and bigger screen, 2 things you never wish for when using an lg g2 mini. g2 mini screen is super sharp and very big in my experience i would say the g3s will be too big , its a much more clumsy phone

Just got the phone on 29 Nov 2014, it deserves only the highest rating and that is awesome the battery life is more than a full days work yes games included and 80% screen brightness and 15% battery to spare. Camera is awesome after the update and the lock and volume buttons at the back make the G series one of a kind. Screen sensitivity is top notch and the clarity superb. have yet to get the phone to lag seem like it can do anything and there one thing that's nowhere said that makes it awesome and that's that the menu buttons at the bottom can be arranged to your liking. So speaking for hands on experience the only phone out there better than the LG G3 Beat (S) is its big brother the LG G3 .

To run smoth and fluent take out the progr that you not using. Camera is ok,is not top but is enough for me. Batery around 2 days for average use and 3G connection is on all time. My device has just received a small update in Greece. It's actually imported from France, so I guess that's an European update. The first improvement I ve noticed is the camera's speed. Autofocus n shooting in general is faster. The camera became more clear, except when taking portraits. By default, it seems that LG uses the Beauty mode, so there's a lot of softness in the faces. Other than that, I'm happy with new camera performance.

Beautiful phone but a lot of bugs Phone don't save parameters. For exemple, I don't want notifications fot some games (candy crush...), I save "no notifications" but I receive them. When I take my phone in my hand, I lost service. I have the message "aucun service" or "services d'urgence uniquement" (I have a french opérator). I must put it on the table to retrieve the service. When I listen a playlist with Deezer application, sometimes I lost my playslist and I listen some other musics of my memory card. And other some minor bugs. For me, it's a bad phone. I bought this Ge Beat on 23rd Oct. Battery Life is good enough and will survive a day. I being a normal user with 3g on, auto sync off, whatapp, check email, fb n twitter, internet browsing, 2 hours of lectures etc last me about 1 day + few hours and be4 going to be I activate battery saver....The more u use, more battery it will suck(its pretty subjective)...The con is battery charging for a 2500mah battery is takes more than 3 hours which is ridiculous...battery drains very fast once it reached 30%, I don't know why but it does...LG is horrible in replying or customer service... For the price there is only single color notification(red, should have provided RGB) but does not work on whatsapp, strange.. No auto brightness.. Audio output is good. Battery saver does not disconnect Mobile Data, which is again strange, have to do it manually. No update on Lillypop yet

I have the phone,D722. It's great. Some mentions,though. It doesn't have a notification led and ambient light sensor. But it has the IR blaster. What i really like is the battery life,i easily get 6-7hrs ost,with moderate usage. With normal usage,i get about 60hrs of battery.

LG G3 stunned a lot of people by bringing in lazer assisted autofocus. Thy hype turned into a damp squib when it was known that this is available only in still photography and not in video recording. It is so easy to tap and focus in still photography that it is dumb achievement if it is available only in still photography. One has all the time to touch and focus while in 'still photography'. If the same was in fast frame video it would have been awesome. People are very discerning, considering the specs of this phone it has not generated immense interest.It is thumbs down even with optical image stabilization. Perhaps it is difficult to achieve auto focus in fast moving video.

This phone should be a total fail as the specifications are really LOW/outdated for a theoretically strong 2014 phone. Adreno 305 as GPU and snapdragon 400 chipset with 1.2 quad, 5 inch screen and 350 euro? The buyers will probably be blind and completely out of the range with technology because at the same price or maybe lower you can get the G2 from the same LG and that's a great phone for it's price. This version of LG G3 beat is just a bad joke so I'll ignore it and stick to my G2 for now.

i think it's going to be quite succesfull if the device's footprint is very small for a five incher and if lg decides to skip the ubiquitous and awful (for the g3 mini) snapdragon 400 and use a more powerful soc instead (or the s400 clocked at 1.6ghz at least).
