for catherine: the phone works in GSM 900 & 1800 MHZ. in the U.S. you need 850 MHZ. i hope this solved your mistery :)

For picture upload/download, u can do in 2 ways: infrared or cable connection. For infrared, 1. put the phone near the pc infrared sensor and activate your phone infrared (under fun&tools folder),then u activate your pc infrared sensor. 2. open your "LG contents bank" program that u've installed to pc previously and click on "connect".(make sure u have set the option to infrared b4 u do this) 3. if u see the phone is showing the connection, then u can start to do your upload/download by click on the related option on the program menu. The infrared is not for phone-2-phone transfer! Anyway, the memory is damm limited..hung for couples of time when sendind sms or mms.

a great phone indeed. however, is there no way text messages could be written within one window? most of the time one has to leave the text window to obtain information elsewhere and then back to the text window. My cell is just 2 months old. It just switches off inbetween a call or hangs when trying to send a sms. I have disengage the battery and then put it back and switch on the cell. there is no way you can use the phone if it hangs. I am very upset with the piece and now i am regretting that i bought it.

Not a very good phone at all. Was ok at first but now i cannot actually have a conversation with anyone as I can hear them perfectly, but they can't hear a word i am saying! They just get an awful crackling sound. the screen often freezes at important times and the photo quality is pretty rubbish too. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone, glad i bought mine off of a friend!!

i had a LG 7100 for just under a year it was a good mobile-a proper womans one with a mirror and everything! its looks kewl and everyone alsos mentions how brill it is with the swivel and everything. However i also had problems with my mobile for a few months having sent it back to the manufacturuer twice i recomend that you do not purchase one. My mobile had poor reception and the screen kept freezing on the eggtimer, it also decided to keep turning itself off wenever it felt liek it after it had apparently been fixed!im getting a freee new mobvile now tho so alls well and end well urs sincerely a fan of LG design as it luks hot but not the actual technology although it does use some good conventions.

I have has this Phone, and there was a lot of problems with it... 1) The memory in the phone is very small and in my case it was broken so i only has about 10 kb left, and i did't use any. the camara suks even as it is a VGA it is very poor, and it does not have video...

you can put your pics from the phone onto the pc by downloading the new lg software for it from their website (about 16mb) go to their website and view the phone and click on software or use this link also you can add pictures to the phonebook by first taking the picture in the lowest resolution and then save it, then you open up the address book, edit the name you took the photo of and then go to character and press down and you are allowed to choose a picture.

Hey guys, i've noticed heaps of people can't get the pictures from the camera to your computers. Well, you will never be able to do it without the cd that comes with it. If you didn't get one, you got screwed! Once you get it, play around with it, you'll find it comes in handy (check previous post).

Hey guys, i wanted to share a little thing i found out about the lg 7100. This might be old news, i dont know! If you ever want to get any wallpaper or ringtone for free, instead of paying like $4 each time, try saving the picture or midi file onto your desktop (pictures must be jpeg's), and opening them with the content's bank. (Obviously you must change the searching directory from the cd to your folder or desktop!). Since i figured this out, i never had to pay a thing for ringtones or wallpapers. Very very handy!

i just bought my g7100 2 days ago. my memory is already full and i cant get my pics to pc. i tried irda, and used a serial to usb converter cable to connect the phone. however there was no way i could get stuff from the phone to the pc. only the other way round. so please help me as this is making me crazy.

This is a really cheaply designed phone, I got it because it was free and looked ok. Predictive text doesn't learn new words, photo's can't easily be put into the phone book and it doesn't detect phone numbers within text messages. Don't get it if you can avoid it.

This is without doubt a classy phone. The supplied software DOESN'T let you transfer photos to your PC but the later version available on LG's site DOES, so go download it. Well built, good internal screen, genuine OLED external screen which is hard to read in bright conditions but looks cool and uses much less power than LCD. Ringtones are clear and loud and callers sound clear too. Voice memos and voice activated dialling plus great features like stopwatch (Java app) and organiser really pad out the impressive specs. Believe me, I've owned a LOT of phones, and though this one is still quite new I'm liking it a lot so far. At under �100 from Orange in the UK on pay as you go this has to be the best value phones around right now.

A pretty phone. The battery life last long. Midi tones and any picture can be your wallpaper! Cool design, the swivelling screen impresses people when taking photos. Acts like a view cam. Mirror on the outside is useful at times! One thing though, what the hell's the flash for? its got the light but its toooo weak! 7/10

I have been using my G7100 for about 2 weeks now and I am pleased with its performance. I do not it is not the best phone available, but certainly kicks the arse out of Nokia. It is not if it is the BEST phone, moreso if it is the best phone for YOU. My G7100 meets my mobile phone requirements well. I agree with the rotating screen idea mentioned before - The first thing i thought was "that is something to break soon." My only three problems with this phone: 1)The volume of the keypad is also the volume of the SMS notification. I dont like hearing the annoying sounds of the keypresses, but feel i have to put up with it because i can't hear the SMS notification when I turn it down. 2) The ringtone format is a weird one. I am still learning about polyphonic etc, but as I work in the radio industry I would like to use my own produced piece that I have customised as my preferred ringtone. I, so far, have not been able to convert my short files into DXM format for the phone to play. Do I have to purchase another program to do this? Can I download a small program for free that will allow me to do this? If you have the answer, please drop me a line. The third problem, which is a side effect of the reflective front screen feature, is that it is hard to see the screen information in the light. The reflective surface prevents seeing the time, battery and service status. I would also like to know if those cool little clips that play on that screen after pressing the side button a couple times are customizable? Lastly, I agree with previous mentions of memory. Although I feel the intelligent PC connectivity means constant connecting to prevent filling your phone up with pictures, I would like more memory. A couple times I have not been able to continue playing a game (one of the presets) because it says "out of memory". This does not happen a lot, but i think the key is to only download off the included CD the games you know you are going to play, rather than putting 6 or more games on it for the beauty of selection. I am not sure of a memory port, like an SD slot, would have been design-wise practical, but certainly would have helped. To anyone looking at this phone, I would say go for it, in comparison to some Nokia phones on the market. Cheers

i'm a phone-freak, to me LG G7100 is the best with the functions incorporated. pls umprove on the voice memo upgraded to about 5min. i bet u it's perfect.even samsung which is one of the leading or probably the best will envy this your perfect style.make it more affordable for at least,average people(nigeria)

fantastic! this phone is undoutebly magnanimous. it's full of features. It's much much better than the dirty samsung P400. Samsung phones are rubbish. it's the best phone ever. I say it's di best. Hi, just got this phone and find it really amazing. First, it can read all chinese sms and surprisingly it also can received nokia picture messages but V200 cannot. Secondly, the polyponic ringtones is loud and clear unlike SEt610 very soft. Thirdly, the external display is big and nice colors as most of the clamshell phone only std blue led on the external display. The games is great and somemore is Java Enabled, most the korean phones does not have java at this moments. Many more good functions on this phone, it is cheap in price but got all the expensive features. The only setback is the memory space. Lastly the camera has different sizes for you to choose, not to mentioned it has a VGA (Sharp picture). I strongly recommend this phone to anyone out there if you don't want to spent too much on a camera java phone but still want a good one-this is the choice. Cheers to LG!

I have never owned the lg7100 phone, but from the unique twisting phone screen, probably like most people, have wanted to! Also because it is in colour is a flip phone, has polyphonic ringtones, and would look and sound good when used, I want to own the phone! The phone must be brilliant if it making me want to own it, as the idea of adevertising a phone is to get you to want to buy it, and lg have done that well with this phone! Long may this phone reign as the king! lol

i had the lg for six months and i thought it was a really good phone which is pretty damn eyecatching. i have had no major gripes with it. the outer screen is far more versatile than the e700 and the internal screen is perfect ofr using as an outer screen when rotated as it consumes half the battery power as rival 65k screens. the biggest complaint people have is about uploading photos to the computer. This is solved by visiting the lg website and downloading the newest software (under FAQ). but remember, you must first totally uninstall the old software before installing the new version.

The phone is nice. Sexy looking. Very easy menus and lots of handy shortcuts. The supplied software was probably written over night. The software is so basic that you can not download the pictures to your pc. What good is a camera when you cannot download the pictures??? I really hope LG comes with a major software update. Limited memory is another issue. I'm not complaining as I got the phone for free, but I would never have bought the phone.

I just got this phone recently n it rocks! It's a good-looking phone and the build quality is solid. All the functions are very easy to use but the only down side is its rotating camera. Just give it some time and you'll soon get the hang of things... it's not that bad. So to anyone who's considering getting this phone.... I say go for it! Hi, I have some problem with LG G7100 :- 1) I have only 21 pin serial port (normally used for printer or scanner) but the serial cable supplied is only for 9 pin only. I brought a adaptor (21 to 9 pin) but it cannot detect the phone....my IrA works OK and not problem with connection. Any idea what went wrong ??? 2) I have problem receive " business card" from other phone such as Nokia and Sony Erission... Ant idea what went wrong ? 3) by the way, how can I send business card to other using G7100 ? Operating Manual does not tell how ? 4) No blank logo operator like Nokia ? Email me if you can help.

Obiously this phone looks alot like samsung p400 or a600 because it is a another korean phone when samsung came out with the rotating screen it was popular back then in korea and other brands started making it well there is some draw backs but it really better than any nokia or sony ericsson products

I tried this phone in a shop. As a Korean, I was expecting something gud from the Korean brand LG just like Samsung, which if you dont know is Korean brand also. Anyway, first impression not good. Blue colour phone, the outer screen makes the phone look like a washing machine, the rotating screen ain't that gr8. I found the Samsung P400 more smoother when rotating screen. Design is poor. However, the functions are gr8, 40 poly ringtones, high resolution colour etc...But still I'd go for a Samsung if you're going for a cam phone.

The front display is realy nice at the night but at day and sun light, it is difficult to see the number of who is calling or the clock. It does not have LED and outer LCD turns off after max. 60 seconds and then you see no movement on the phone you feel it's sleeping. Working with the camera is a bit difficult because you should turn it every time you want to take a pic and working with zoom is a bit diffuclt but the graphic of the screens and text is nice. It does not have also SMS report and also no "connect tone".
