ZTE Axon 7 mini - User Reviews

  • You should be able to update to Nougat 7.1.1 manually if you can't from the updater. Problem is ZTE removed the files from their site when all the China - US issues started. I recommend checking you at XDA there you will find the guide to update manually.

  • I also got the same one from Canada computers, but I can't update, how did you force it, been trying to upgrade the Android for weeks, what does PC mode mean, thanks

  • Hold is the global Euro/Asian version with hard to execute manual updates when you live in Western Hemisphere.. Gray version can update over air here.

  • I bought one 4 days ago at Canada Computer, went to use in PC mode, and it took a bit to recognize and load drivers , but it did. Offered 7.1 Nougat, and update was successful. But these stories of freezing and crappy battery life 2 months later makes me want to buy a more up to date phone in similar price range. Now looking at very simple but effective Moto G7 play instead. Slightly bigger battery, but has to support Pie, so it is rated as weak, depending on type of use, and DOES NOT offer fast charge at all! The mini 7 does charge fast, for some reason charges fast in my car charger too I noticed.

  • Help please. Axon 7 mini. When using the phone, I come to a stage where I need to enter a number or a # but my keypad has disappeared at this stage. All I have is the front page with Red Telephone picture, unable to get to or find keypad. Any help pls.

  • European variant is also compatible with Nougat. I have software version 1.2.0.B15 based on Nougat 7.1.1 with July 2018 security patch. That is the latest version this phone will ever have.

  • You have to have the American version of this phone. The Canadian version isnt compatible with nougat at all.

  • How do I update to Nougat 7.1.1???

  • Yes but only after you have updated to Nougat 7.1.1 :)

  • Can the ZTE axon 7 mini do SplitScreen Multitasking?

  • The first few months the phone was awesome! It had no lag at all! Then about 2 months later stuff stopped working like sync and a week after that adding accounts stopped working too! I stopped using power saving mode because it took hours for the black and white screen to go away. I've had this for about 3 months and I don't like it.

  • I can't share apps. WeShare, ShareIt, and Zapya keep freezing up and stopped

  • Guys help please. I have on the screen a pic of the SD card, that wont go away. I demounted the SD card, then refitted. Did it through settings, dismount & remount. Still there any help. Ta.

  • For normal use battery is ok and last whole day.. but when intensive usage is done it may not be enough, it charges really fast though. I get an average from 3hs to 6hs of screen on time. Problem isn't battery capacity but the Snapdragon 617 isn't very good on battery management. If you look for more battery duration.. there are better phone alternatives.

  • I have to be honest, battery life isn't that good but overall performance is great, especially when you update to Nougat 7.1.1.

  • Thanks. Interesting. But I'm a but worry about it's performance & battery longevity,... *is it smooth enough for daily use? **Is the battery enough to be used normally 16 hours daily?

  • Yes, i think so... ...i have this phone and it also has Dolby Atmos. Sound quality on speakers is really impressive!

  • Is this mini has the same audio & speakers quality as it's bigger sibling?

  • the battery is nonsense 2705mah it is nonsense na

  • Cannot find how to update from marshmallow to nougat or oreo ?

  • I have owned this phone for a year now and it is an OK budget phone. But I have two problems with this phone. One is that it has completely froze up more than once. And two the battery is OK at best.

  • I have the Axon 7 mini and it supports dual sim cards.

  • The NFC chip is somewhere near center of the screen(front).. took me a while to figure out. I have the european version. I thought it was on the back as most phones. :D

  • hi... have u ever test the NFC function with *983*07# (test mode)? i got failed in read card, how about you? thanx.

  • do you know if i could unlock it..?

  • Why is the grey coloured expensive than gold?

  • About to buy this phone for 160USD, is it still worth it? I have an Alcatel Soleil, and it's been 3 or 4 years already since I had this phone.

  • The Axon 7 mini does support dual SIM. You can fit the second SIM in the SD slot and it is fully functional. I am currently using it this way and is working fine.

  • Official Lineage OS just got released for that phone :)

  • Got one from CanadaComputers, very clean Andriod preload. Overall, i am satisfied. Amazing price for the spec. Only downside, I am disappointed; there is no wifi AC

  • If you want to ge5 more performance.. Stop Google Play store and Play service accessing data both wifi and mobile data. These Google background data collection really bogs most phone and Tablets

  • Canadian version seems to depend on where you buy it. The ones from PC Mobile in Ontario are a Bell Canada version, and don't come with either dual SIM or Android Nougat. I wanted the dual SIM and I found one from Canada Computers. It is the USA version and comes with Nougat installed.

  • Anyone knows which app uses the "Baidu folder"? How to get rid of it.?

  • Hi, I have experienced the same problem. can you post the screenshot, I can help you with better screenshot.

  • Just got one in Canada. 2 sim slots Nfc It updated to Nougat 7.1.1 over OTA...no issue s with update..as always phone must be fully charge before updating. Have unl phone and txt plan...data is 70$ per gb.. I have to shut data mobile . You also have togoto individual app to ensure background mobile data access is off too..those sneaky APPs So far voice is very clear. Reception is good. Only complaint is ZTE removed Adoptive Storage..so your big SD card is practically not needed. The screen resolution is great. Camera is good. Hope the OREO is supported in future.

  • By law in Canada, as of December 2017, all cell phones sold by carriers in Canada must either be delivered without any SIM locks, or else the carriers must remove the SIM lock upon request for no extra fee.

  • From further reading about the Axon 7 mini, on the Internet, it appears the version of this phone, sold in Canada, only supports 1 SIM card. The US version apparently supports 2 SIM cards.

  • The Axon mini can only accommodate 1 SIM card, not 2 SIM cards. The second card slot in the SIM carrier is for a micro SD memory card, only. I was misled by the specs description, when it identified the second SIM carrier slot, as a SIM 2 slot. :-( The Axon 7 ( the Axon mini Big Brother) phone does have the capability to use 2 SIM cards, in the SIM carrier.

  • According to the specs above it should have AWS / band 4 so Yes it will work on Wind / Freedom M

  • Regarding update to 7.1.1, try this link: . It involves three downloads and three cycles of updates - all successfully accomplished from the SD card. I followed the instructions carefully and now my mini runs 7.1.1 as does my Axon 7. The only "anomaly" was that after the first cycle, the home screen was wonky - but it was fixed on the second cycle.

  • Bought the gold Axon 7 Mini, model B2017G but it is stuck on Android 6.0.1, security patch January 1, 2017. ZTE support tells me to keep waiting for update, but I went to ZTE support pages, downloaded the zipped update for the silver mini (as the gold mini does not show and update button), tried to install, and received an error message (something like model mismatch). Anyone else having similar problems? Suggestions? BTW, my Axon 7 is on Android 7.1.1

  • ok... ...for some reason that link isn't working?!? But anyway, i updated my European Axon 7 mini to 7.1.1 using that link and i found it on XDA.

  • Hi guys/gals... ...if you haven't already updated to Nougat or tired of waiting for OTA, here's a link for the latest Nougat with September security level :) ztedevice.com/support/detail?id=D4454D33442F45E192A95718509F4586

  • only work with bell virgin and pc mobile

  • I was thinking to grab one from PC Mobile too. May you tell me if this phone is locked or unlocked? I am currently using freedom mobile. Thx

  • good phone, bought from pc mobile two months ago $149.99(CND)

  • The Axon 7 is only slightly larger and has better specs and features for $265 USD on Gearbest so unless you hate capacitive buttons or can't spend extra then get this

  • I am zte axon 7 lover best sound ever..... I use my phone over wifi around the day. It consume only 40 percent.

  • Iam using this since from one month battery won't stay longer.heatingup problem

  • Agreed. The Canadian variant of this phone has a hybrid SIM tray that could physically ccommodate either 2xNano SIM or 1xNano SIM plus 1xMicroSD; However, electrically, it will only actually accept the 1xNano SIM plus 1xMicroSD option. It doesn't even list a 2nd IMEI number under settings. So I don't know if the limitation is actually a difference in hardware, or if it's actually just being limited in software by a different OS build, but either way it definitely is not dual-SIM.

  • The russian update to axon 7 mini worked. i live in finland as well. i tried and it worked. Good Luck

  • Anonymous Call can be done on any cellphone. I think Axon 7 Mini User Interface is a little bit different from other Android phones. but it can be done as the following steps. From Phone app, (built-in Dialler) Setting (Gear Icon right top), Call Settings > Carrier Settings > Additional settings > Caller ID Hide number

  • I will never buy a carrier phone again as I got burned by AT&T when I completed my contract and wanted to "unlock" the phone. With a non-AT&T SIM, I found that I could make calls and access the internet, HOWEVER, I cannot use it as a mobile hotspot. That functionality is only reserved for AT&T SIM cards (there's a check in the phone code) and is NOT unlocked. This is with a Samsung S4 mini (SGH-I257).

  • *

  • Also can you only call with anonymous id, or has this been sorted out now?

  • What is the general consensus should I buy an unlocked phone & sim only contract or buy a contract phone locked to carphone warehouse?

  • Just few days ago i got "new" update B12 but it was still 6.0.1 with January '17 security level... REALLY, ZTE? Getting January security update in September? xD With this speed, Nougat update is coming next summer! Well, at least i'm still getting updates.

  • Correct. Its a really good phone. And the Qualcomm quick charge USB 3.0 charges it nearly fully in 60 minutes.

  • You LIAR. It's a very fast phone ! Extremely fast . I am using it since 1 year.

  • Poor phone. Very slippery design, very slow ram and poor battery life. Avoid it.

  • Has anyone got 7.1.1 OTA in Europe region phones? And i mean OTA, not manual update method. Like i said previously here, manual update failed and i just want that goddamn OTA already!

  • I bought this phone for visitors/relatives during summer vacation time. It was US version, which has only English, French, Spanish and Chinese language built-in, but after installing European ROM, it support almost all language is showed up on menu. (and European version is simulating iPhone, ugly icons, all apps shows in front.. etc) Since they are visitor/tourist using Google maps are lot, amazingly GPS and compass is pointing very accurate and quick, and guide voice (from speaker) is very nice human voice, not like other phones which has robotic voice. Despite heavy use (Yes, they are smartphone addict), battery last whole day easily. The setting menu arrangement is quite a bit different from Xperia, but I like some of the functions, such as double tap to wake up from blank screen, bring phone to ear will answer the call without tapping screen, facing down to ring tone off, finger print reader on back acts as shutter button, etc... Finally, I managed to install 7.1.1, but I don't see much difference, (yes, starting animation is very impressive, but that doesn't do much for real use) except phone no longer shows network provider name on top left.

  • Comparisons on sites like this won't show you how good the speakers are and that is the main selling point of this phone. Besides this and the idol 4 nothing comes close.

  • Just an observation: I don't think ZTE has publicly confirmed anything at all about its plans for Oreo just yet.

  • If your device is B2017G, check this link

  • so how can i upgrade my phone to android 7.1.1?

  • Is it from the bootloader menu you did the SD card update or from the usual settings- system update? It will only work via the bootloader menu after you have turned on developer option and unlock OEM bootloader.

  • Did exactly what you just told but for some reason it didn't find the update file:/ I'm not doing it again... waiting for OTA update (even if it takes months!)

  • It will work if your model is B2017G. I am using the European file from Russia ZTE site. You must turn on OEM unlocking under developer options then enter recovery mode. Apply update from SD card. Here's the link Choose the link by your right which states Axon 7 mini upgrade to Android 7 ZIP.

  • Yes i have but i've already tried manual update method using sd card but even when i put it in the root folder of my sd card, it was not there when i chose local update and sd card. It was weird. Maybe that file didn't have right authorization or something. I have Scandinavian version as i live in Finland. I guess UK/Spain/Germany/Italy etc. file don't work.

  • What's your Axon 7 Mini model? if it's B2017G, then I can send you the link to download the 7.1.1 official firmware. It's working on my device

  • ZTE has confirmed that Axon 7 mini will get Oreo but i'm still missing Nougat in Finland :/ Let's see if i even get Nougat! ZTE hates Europe!

  • I don't really take updates into account tbh, you can always root and update it.

  • Best all-rounder but updates are very slow and that's not a good thing.

  • A7, u play is good for software/updates. But the best all rounder is Axon 7.

  • You can purchase this from Carphone Warehouse in the UK.

  • I would not recommend the axon. Terrible battery and very buggy

  • Well after not knowing what way to turn, I went for the ZTE Axon 7 mini. After my Nokia I thought that this was going to be complicated. But no it really is fine. Pictures are excellent, speakers very good. So far, very happy. Would I recommend, Yes. Lets face it anything after an old Nokia 635 is good. My wife has the Nokia 6 which is a very close call. As i found the axon at the same price. Barging.

  • a7 mini

  • Guys need help on deciding. Zte axon7mini or sony xperia xa1. Which one is better over in terms of everyday use and gaming/fb/youtube.

  • A7 mini have EIS,right?

  • I would choose the Moto G5 plus. That's for me. Use this website to compare all 3 and choose the one that best suits you. That's my advice.

  • Is this Axon 7 mini suitable for the UK.

  • moto g5 plus

  • Do you live in Europe?

  • got my update todat on my Axon 7 mini 7.1.1, Love it

  • I have, had it for about 7 months now. Got from car phone warehouse on ID network

  • I have started to plan for replacing my old Moto G4. And in terms of long-term value, camera performance (no lag) & quality, multitasking & app opening (no reload), speakers output, lightweight body & hand comfort, the most bands & frequencies (especially the UK & Europe) and the most important which are constant & continous updates which would u choose: HTC U Play ZTE Axon 7 Mini Moto G5 Plus

  • I only hope that we'll get it this summer, the update is really needed.

  • Yeah, i thought so... probably have to wait couple of weeks more :/

  • Came here to ask the same thing. I don't think that any europeans has got it yet...

  • Are there any Europeans who have already received Nougat?

  • mine did come with the fast charge cord

  • so. just to make sure. the aspects say: cdma that means i can use this phone with verizon and its mvo's right? thanks in advance.

  • It doesn't come with the fast-charge cord but there is a fast-charge chord you can buy

  • so. just to make sure. the aspects say: cdma that means i can use this phone with verizon and its mvo's right? thanks in advance.

  • Have had my mini 3 months now very happy with its performance worth every penny great sound!

  • Yes... ...in fact, it's in the beta program right now. Don't know when the final version will be released. It's going to be updated to 7.1.1 Nougat.

  • Will ZTE Axon 7 Mini receive Nougat?

  • What about Wireless Fast Charger?

  • My 7 Mini has one dedicated SIM slow and one hybrid SIM slot

  • mmmm.... quiche charging

  • + quich charging !!!

  • I have it for 4 months. Seven mini is a best value for money smartphone. There is some critcism about this phone and all i can say to those people is get off your high horse. Axon 7 mini, works fine for regular people like me and i'm not some rich geek who has to have latest and most expensive tech, and i think thats a majority of smartphone users. Features premium alluminium build, figerprint reader, beautiful amoled, BEST stereo speakers on the market and top hi-fi experiance of any smartphone with Dolby Atmos, only one above is marshall london (but thats an old phone). 32gb rom and 3gb ram for a price from 200 - 300 euros - dollars. Battery gets 4-5 hours screen on time. Updates are regular and it will receive nougat 7.1.1. thats already in beta.

  • Very true indeed. I got this phone from lucky draw. Been using it for 4months. Lagging and sound very poor. Hang as well if u multi tasking

  • Any proof? I got a picture of a Axon 7 mini's sim tray which has only 1 nano sim slot and an sd card slot. It doesn't have the hybrid sim tray what you are talking about. ZTE already confirmed that there are two variants about this phone, one with dual sim support and one with single sim support. It is normal that manufacturers release 2 slightly different designs, ZTE do this fairly often. I can post a picture of the sim tray if you want, but please don't mislead everybody on gsmarena.

  • Hi GSMarena, have zte fixed the issue with anonymous caller ID? Does the phone still only make anonymous calls or have they added a caller ID function?

  • I am sorry but you are so wrong. All of them are that way by design, you either chose 2 sims or sim +sd card, the second slot on the tray is compatible with both sim and sd, there are no other versions of this phone, only one.

  • The official update is probably coming in a month or so

  • There is a single sim model as well which is not listed in the specs. This has a nano sim + sd card sim tray which is slightly different from the dual sim variant's sim tray and can be easily mixed up. Be careful about this, especially in Europe, because sometimes even the sellers don't know about this.

  • Axon 7 Mini will also get Nougat update for those who wonder when or if it gets the update. Some moderator said it on xda forums so it's not officially coming from ZTE but it makes sense that updating Axon 7 mini is next in line now that Axon 7 has got 7.1.1 update recently.

  • sir,you are incorrect....the axon 7 mini does NOT support dual band ac wifi

  • The J7 Prime

  • This is a really good phone for it's price, but battery life is okay at best. Playing an intensive game like Asphalt 8 only gave me around 2 hours of screen on time. For regular usage in a day, I usually end up having 2:30 to 3:30 hours of screen on time

  • I purchased ZTE Axon 7 mini Two weeks before. I would like to share my opinion on this. Pros: Design. Basic functionality. Best Music Quality. Vibrant screen. Gesture Functionality. Scheduled power off and on. Cons Whatsup audio play not working properly and hangs frequently either if it is interrupted any calls or doing any multi tasking. Download files from wetransfer is not working. Multitasking leads to mobile hang. Can not play whatsup audio and video files from file manager list. No proper batch updates available. Call quality is not good as they mentioned in the specification. Every time needs to change the sound quality and level if the kit is restarted. I am not checking camera and gaming performance so far. Many accessories and specification difference are between Axon 7 and Axon 7 mini but not mentioned in the portal. Verdict Can be fit for basic functionality, not for enhanced functionalities. Lot of small level of bugs needs to be fixed.

  • The phone seems unreliable...My axon mini fails many times to start. It tries to start then fail. The problem stays two days then start normally. The problem appear when battey dies and when i charge it ti doesn't start.. I just hear the vibrator sound and see the logo screen I try to to force it to sart but no luck...stupid phone

  • that seems highly unlikely. virtually all phones after 2013 have 2.4 and 5GHz wireless cards. if you don't see 5 GHz it's b/c ur router doesn't support it.

  • everything is fine except no 5g wifi detects...

  • the screen comes set in auto, which IS very dark, but this feature can be turned off and brightness manually set. This allows the screen to be pretty damn decent.

  • Hi any issues with caller id? Is this phone better than s5 neo ?

  • Had this phone for a month now, it's really good and so far i haven't had any real complaints about this besides for not being able to format the SD card as internal storage and battery life playing intensive games was around 2-3 hours of screen on time

  • Screen too dark, but only 250 $, so good phone for the money because of its exceptional speakers

  • Best phone under my budget

  • Bought this phone yesterday and have to say the dac is amazing .flac quality is just incredible. Only problem is the rubbish music player app that sets everything in alphabetical order instead of numerical and can not be changed. Changhin music player is not an option either as far aas i know it switches to built in dac and not the one from AKM.

  • ZTE Axon 7 Mini Review

  • great specs bt bad camera

  • Too bad about this phone. I like smaller phones but this one is 4 mm longer than its predecessor, the original Axon Mini, 1 mm wider and 13 grams heavier without having a larger battery. How did it gain such weight and bulk? My view, is that people who want smaller phones want the bodies to be as compact as possible too, to match the smaller screen. Otherwise you might as well get a 5.5 inch phone and forget about compactness. Of the 2 Axon Mini's I would buy the earlier one - similar specs more compact and likely much lower price due to being older.

  • This is a perfect phone it works flawlessly. the phone is super fast. BUY THIS PHONE PLEASE more especially the unlocked one. The only problem is that you cant hide you caller ID and you cant reboot into safe mode without using the bios of the phone......

  • Could we have a full review Gsmarena?

  • What you see is what you get!! Very nice phone. with a very good sound (Stereo, HiFi, Dolby) Enough internal space (ROM and RAM) and extended memory (microSD 256 Gb). Bright colours with Gorilla glass (4) screen.

  • I rarely give feedback. But, I'm in love with this phone. It is hands down the best performing, most feature packed phone that I've owned. The only downsides are the non-replaceable battery and the lack of dual-band WiFi. I returned my Nexus 5x because of Bluetooth problems. I've owned numerous Samsung devices which have _never_ seen real OS updates. This is already on 6.01 and will be updated to Nougat. My Galaxy Avant from 2014 was discontinued and is now stuck on Kitkat 4.4.2. My Galaxy Grand Prime (TMO) is slow and has no room for apps. And what I don't understand is why Cyanogen doesn't target more of these Walmart type low-mid range phones. Got my Axon 7 mini on a Black Friday deal for $199. How could anyone go wrong with that? Just gotta hope that the battery lasts a long time.

  • I have the Axon Mini 7. It works a lot better than the Samsung Galaxy S5 which had a tendency to slow down to a crawl at times for no known reason. The camera leaves something to be desired, but it is serviceable. The only times where I have noticed the slower processor on the Mini 7 were when I was streaming music and had other apps running in the background... it would sometimes skip which I assumed was a processor issue, because it quit happening when I killed everything else in the background. I don't do much gaming so not sure what the effect of the processor would be there. I really enjoy the phone. Its very customizable and is working great for me in most areas. I stream video on it and the picture/sound is great for both that and music. I love the simple little clear plastic case, it makes the phone much less slippery. The finger print sensor works fine although you need to be careful to train it with your fingertips in slightly different positions each time. I am so happy that I bought this phone, because it is not TOO big like most phones and it only cost me $300 which is amazing. I'm saying goodbye forever to ridiculously expensive phones from Apple and Samsung forever!

  • I'll be honest, I was quite skeptical buying those phone. Luckily, it exceeded my expectations by far. Personally I think it's the perfect size, it feels amazing in the hand. No plastic feel, doesn't rattle. The fact it comes with a case really made me happy so you don't have to worry about it since when j got it, cases hadn't even been released yet. Performance-wise, I can easily compare it to my old galaxy s6. With 3 gigs of ram, no matter how hard I try, lag just doesn't happen even when I had too many apps open to count. Now the speakers are in my opinion, the best on the market. Even louder and. One clear that the HTC, which is there claim to fame. I chose the mini simply because this is my favorite size for a phone. The sacrifices you have to make between thebslightly higher specs you get with the regular axon are not at all noticable. The camera with laser focus and image stabilizer works flawlessly. Now finding a phone that included a finger print sensor with quality specs was incredibly difficult to find. Either the phone was way above my price range, or it had everything else BUT. I couldn't believe it when I found his phone. My one concern was if the battery life lasted a full day with heavy use and it was did, then some. The resolution is amazing 1080x1920 and 441 ppi puts it way up there. I mean eventhe mini shoots 16megapixels and 4k. So my thought was where I'd the catch? I couldn't find one. So of course I knew I'd have to pay an arm and a leg to pick it up unlocked. $299. I could not believe it. I half expected it to feel cheap and plasticy. Wrong again. ZTE outdid themselves. It comes with a rubberized fired case, JBL ear buds and gorilla glass 4. I can not stress how througholgy impressed I am with this perfect device. I can't find it one thing to complain about with this one. I am never purchasing another overpriced name brand phone. BUY THIS PHONE. it is absolutely perfect. I'm lucky I did the extensive research to find it.

  • yes

  • Yes, and the only response from ZTE for this is that they are sorry but currently this phone does not support this function...

  • I heard that the phone does not have a caller id function so you can only make anonymous calls, even you set the network default to allow at your provider. Is this true ??

  • Beware the phone does not have a caller id function so you can only make anonymous calls, even you set the network default to allow at your provider.

  • Very nice looks. Very good sound, screen and camera but a small battery and outdated processor. Snapdragon 617 was a good year ago. ZTE could use the snapdragon 625 then it would be a success.

  • Overpriced! Weak processer and less ram for the price

  • Mate, its 153 grams, how weak are you?

  • This is a very weighty phone compared to so many others that are lighter. The Xiaomi Mi5, just a hair smaller screen size but only 129 grams. Even the bulkier LG G3 is only 149 grams. A 5.2 inch phone shouldn't weigh more than 145 grams max.

  • A so called "mini" which has a 5.2" screen??? Pathetic ZTE, nothing to see here.

  • Wow...Snapdragon 617. Really ZTE?

  • This is a good model of phone 489302984902843 39/10 ? 293 but i rather like the one year b4 this one :D

  • Its you.

  • Hahaha a mini phone? It's 14,7 cm tall and has a 5.2" display! Definitely not a mini

  • Battery in Zte Axon maybe bigger.Only 2750 mah ?

  • It should be called axon 7 lite not mini!!! 5.2inch is big

  • standards have changed people, for me 5.2" seems mini, after using phones like HTC One Max, Nexus 6, Nexus 6P

  • Agreed

  • Definition of MiNi has changed seems so..5.2" nd mini..

  • How on earth can a mobile with a massive 5.2" screen be called a mini??? FFS get a grip ZTE, stop insulting our intelligence and proper mini / compact phones.

  • is this phone available in the US yet?

  • NO

  • Is this phone better then Samsung galaxy s5?

  • I bought it last week and I gotta say it's ... somewhat okay. Pros are the screen which is very bright, superb contrast, a true oled indeed. Speakers are great, very loud and clear. And the build quality is very nice, too. Performance on the other hand is a mixed bag. Navigating certain apps (threema, WhatsApp, Browser, Youtube...) certainly is fluid, no problems whatsoever. But the UI performs quite sluggishly. The Settings App lags probably all the time when switching between different settings, the App opening animation lags sometimes, too. Either do some other apps. Spotify e.g. needs really long to load all of my songs, and even its Interface takes quite the time to be displayed after opening the App. And occasionally messages such as WA or Threema don't get delivered instantly. You have to open the App itself first before getting the notifications. This destroys the Messaging apps purpose more often than not. Very annoying and something that leads me to send the phone back to the vendor. Cam is ok, nothing spectacular. Very nice shots with stills in daylight, but aweful shots if lights fading even a bit. Video is very shaky for me. Can't really bother to use it anymore. The battery is quite good, average of 4 hours screen on over a day. No problems in this category. Heating isnt an issue at all. Stays really cool to the touch even after some intense Multitasking. But that is achieved by scaling down performance which I mentioned above. The sd 625 would have been the better choice id say. This phone is merely held back by its underwhelming performance overall which is nothing more but mediocre at best. This cpu definitly is lower midrange. Call quality and Signal strength were at least quite good, nothing to complain here. To sum this device up: +Audio +Display +Build / looks ~Battery ~WiFi/Mobile Data ~Photos ~-Performance ~-UI -Videos -Overall feel of sluggishness in certain scenarios Imo it isn't worth 300€ -> Nexus 5X performs so much better. BQ Aquaris X5 Plus as well. I would even argue that the Moto G4 (Plus) and BB Dtek 50 run smoother because they don't have such a messy ui. For 250 or for audiophiles -> major go! But don't expect stellar performance or an overall smoothness. You won't find this here.

  • You get the same Soc, same resolution and same camera with bigger battery on the G4 / G4 +, for less I suppose.

  • My zte model Li3824T43P3hA04147 is not displaying anymore except zte android and that when i tried to charge it,please what could be the problem and solution

  • Nope, 4,5" is called Micro.

  • Since when 5.2" is mini? Mini would be at 4.7" these days

  • Its me or this looks like the Lenovo x3??

  • if you don't care about having a gyro or usb type c on your phone, go for the Samsung galaxy j7 prime. Or there's the blu pure xr or moto g4 plus which has better specs than both phones for only $300

  • should I get this phone or the Samsung J7 prime that is about to be released?

  • I want mini with same spec

  • Zenfone 3 has a fingerprint sensor but NO NFC!!! Useless...

  • this chipset has heating issue but zte still put it instead of the the new sd625 to save cost

  • Make it a true mini, ZTE, and you will have a winner on your hands!

  • At 300$ worse than Zenfone 3

  • Good design, old CPU.

  • They're calling this thing "mini?" For me, a smartphone is not "mini" if it has a screen over 4.5 inches.

  • This should've at least gotten the 625. 617 isn't all that efficient paired with a 2700mAh battery on a 5.2" diagonal? It'll be less battery efficient than the big Axon 7. No thanks.

  • The phone looks great itself.Nice camera,ok-ish battery, nice screen, nice ram, kinda really weak processor (low midrange) but for this price you can buy Huawei p9 lite or Xiami redmi note 3/4 pro or Asus zenfone 3.Just saying :/

  • Mini !!!!!!!! Mdrrrrrrrrrr It's toooooo big for me. 71 MM...

  • No it only has one processor but octa core with 2 quad core clusters, one for lower end tasks such as browsing emails and then you have the higher end clusters that will handle tasks such as gaming

  • two different processors with same A53 series?

  • Is it at all likely this lower end model will be geared towards audio quality much like its bigger brother?

  • Today is the day Axon 7 going to be launched huh? :) I can't wait to see reviews of it from gsmareana team. please be quick....

  • why are they even bothering calling it an Axon 7 mini if its only .3 inches smaller with horrible specs

  • 5.2" mini? o_O
