LG K20 plus - User Reviews

  • Just got one for free a few days ago. Screen just shows lines and the frame is in terrible condition but a new screen and frame is only $30 so I'm gonna repair it, would probably make a decent backup phone since I'm on T-Mobile

  • me too am facing they Sam 2G data I don't know the reason why

  • I'm facing the same problem with my internet connection it always turns 2G

  • I wouldn't buy another one. I named it piece of shit for a reason. . constantly crashes locksup. No response have to pull the battery. As far as the people with sd cards. If you are buying on line alot are fack. Had same problem. Best thing to do is buy from a Best buy or another reputable electronics store. This phone has never been drop or beat up in any way. It looks brand new. And its still a piece of shit.

  • Does any one else have this issue? I went thru several 128Gb SD cards, they work for a week or two then they are no longer recognized or usable.

  • I have an issue with the SD card, I had the phone repaired under warranty by LG, they reflashed it, the SD card worked fine for about 3 months now does NOT see it again.

  • This phone DOES NOT WORK in Asia. It doesn't work in China, HK, Taiwan nor Singapore. Reason being the LTE bands is different. USA LTE band for this phone is set to 1700MHz but in Singapore, they use 1800MHz. Bummer!!! You may end up using 2G GSM which are already phased out in many countries.

  • I am able to use the microphone to make audio recordings and play it back with audio recorder. However microphone and speaker do not work when I make a phone call.

  • If you're asking about how to turn on the phone, look on the back. There's a power button under the camera lens.

  • Good service on this from tmobile. Good battery Phone performed very good with apps and speed for the 125 dollar budget. screen brightness very good . good call quality. The camera is not that of a higher end phone. Quality of pictures is basic. Doesn't do well in low light or action pictures. . my only con with this was the camera . but otherwise was happy with phone.for the price it was worth it I felt.

  • Even on mine it is not working I thought it is not original

  • I'm super happy with my New LG K20 Plus phone. The best phone ever for $100. It does everything I need a phone to do and more. It takes pretty good pictures too. Did I mention it comes with 32GB of space!! I think this phone is awesome because I didn't want an iPhone but a good android phone and I got it. The size of the screen is also a plus (5.3"). This helps when you're a bit older. I'm with Metro pcs so I have Wi-Fi calling which is another wonderful feature and I only pay $30 a month for my plan. Now do you see why I'm super happy ☺? So if you want to be as happy as I am just follow my lead.

  • If you have an antivirus app that updates automatically could be your problem

  • Install Lineage

  • As far as I know the K20 plus does not support wireless charging. However you can buy a pad that you plug into the charging port on the phone and does go under the back cover and that would allow wireless charging.

  • I've never had that problem. I use my wireless charger all the time on my LG K20 with no issues.

  • Quote: "Does anyone know if they are going to release android 8 or 9 for this phone? I am with MetroPCS." I seriously doubt it. 2GB RAM and a Snapdragon 425 means economy. I like mine...nice little phone that does what I need but a full OS upgrade? Not likely imo.

  • Does anyone know if they are going to release android 8 or 9 for this phone? I am with MetroPCS.

  • On the back of the phone hold down the fingerprint scanner that should turn on the phone

  • How do you turn the thing on

  • This is true of all screens when using polarized glasses.

  • When in landscape mode, the screen is basically black while looking at it through polarized sunglasses. That is my only complaint of what I consider to be a great phone.

  • Not sure why you are having issues with the phone. I have had mine 6 to 8 months and have never had a issue.

  • This piece of trash locks up and freezes constantly. Poorly made phone. Avoid.

  • ?

  • Why my memory cann't try 32go.i need to use it? Please

  • My flash for camera is now only working in 'selfie' mode. Any suggestions on what to do about activating flash again?

  • As far as I know the phone does not have wireless charging built in the phone

  • I can't seem to use a wireless charger with this phone? Does anyone else have this problem?

  • Does anybody know how to pull up all the icons

  • It may not work with MHL ( Multimedia High Definition Link. but you can do it like this

  • Wtf are you talking about

  • Does anyone know if this phone is "MHL" enabled or capable of outputting the screen display on a TV via a micro USB to HDMI adapter?

  • Does anyone know if this phone is "MHL" enabled or capable of outputting the screen display on a TV via a micro USB to HDMI adapter?

  • i cant seem to store my apps on it. when am able to store it comes as app error and deletes all data or chats

  • Does the MetroPCS version have Gorilla Glass or is it just the T Mobile version that has it?

  • It's 90 days of continuous service to be eligible to unlock your MetroPcs phone through the unlock app, and I know from experience unlocking several of their phones. And yes, while Metro does use the T-Mobile network it's not a guarantee it will work without first unlocking it - but don't quote me on that; borrow a T-Mobile SIM and try

  • If you already used the phone for 40 days and paid the phone. You can go ahead and unlock it using the Mobile Device Unlock app in the phone. Connect it to the internet and choose Permanent. For Temporary, make sure the phone is connected to T-mobile Internet and not Wifi to make it work.

  • 2 things - 1) T-mobile & metroPCS use the same network, so NO change is needed. 2) This phone does have a FM radio; it like most , if not all phones, requires a headphone to be plugged in, to serve as a antenna. I'm probably the only person who wants a AM radio (us bands) in a phone as well.

  • You can't because it's only locked to T-Mobile and if you want a different carrier like Verizon or Metropcs

  • i have my lg k20 plus from T-mobile, what should i do so that to allow other sim cards to oparate?

  • Another way for screen shots press power button and volume down at the same time that should do the trick

  • Look all u have to do for a screen shot, well the other way to screen shot is to (press power & volume down at the same time). if tapping the power button is giving you a problem do it this way it's easier.

  • To be able to use the phone's unlock app, you first need to have at least consecutive three months of service. Did you get the phone recently?

  • hi guys, i need you to help with a problem i got with my lg k50 plus which i got as a present but it is locked and when i tried to unlock it through the device unlock app it says "This mobile wireless device is not eligible for unlock. For Device Unlock eligibility details, please go online or contact Customer Care.".. any clues how to fix it?

  • I will admit it's not the fastest phone I've seen, but it still runs all my games fine and the camera is pretty good. I also thought the speaker wouldn't be that loud, but god I can hear it from across the house. I really like it so far, and it's pretty close to being my favorite phone that I've had.

  • Opuntium if you are havd a data or charge cable use it and yes ıt have sd card slot

  • Can anybody tell me how to connect it to the laptop, and have access to the SD?

  • To do screen shot you tap twice and on the second tap you hold it, so tap tap and hold

  • With my plan with Metro, I have unlimited. My husband has the same phone, and he doesn't have the problem with his.

  • you need more high speed data

  • I have had this phone for a few months. For the last couple weeks when I try to watch a video from any site, it pauses every 30 seconds. Any ideas how to fix this?

  • Its at the top right, not the bottom like before.

  • If that's so, then you probably weren't using the flagship to it's fullest potential.

  • How is the camera? Specifically compared to the Moto E4? Thinking of getting this for my mom

  • I've had this phone for 3 weeks and I can't seem to change the notification sounds for separate apps. In previous versions of Androids I could assign a different notification sound for Facebook and a different one for my messaging app. There is also a management folder that I cannot remove from my home page. If anyone could help I appreciate it.

  • just hold down power button and volume turn down button and there u goo

  • You should consider downloading the free app...all-in-one. It has a feature that allows you to do this

  • The easier way is to pull down menu from top of screen. On the extreme left side you will see a little square icon. Tap on it, then tap on the check mark, then finally tap on the location u want to store the screen shot. I choose "Gallery" so by default it is stored in the " Capture" folder in your gallery. Hope this helps

  • I really like my K20 Plus. I got it in Sept 2017.$100.. My main issue is the screen shot feature.. U gotta tap the Power button three times to trigger the screen shot which sucks ! It doesn't always work. It's very intermittent and unreliable. I suggest a separate button for the screen shot feature...

  • I was really surprised by how well this phone performs. I used to do flagships but this phone is on par with any of them and the battery life is fantasic!

  • Excellent buy for the money (can be had new in box about $110 US). Everything works well, no glitches, battery lasts well, fit and finish not bad for plastics. It takes decent pictures - add Snapseed to improve that by a huge margin. 32GB and micro-SD up to 256GB is enough storage for almost any use. NOT water/dust resistant so I added a case. *Over all, well worth the money if all you need is a decent smartphone.*

  • Had and loved an LG Phoenix 3 with AT&T service that sucked. So a free K20 Plus with switching to Metro PCS was a no brainer. Slightly better phone and faster by far data that doesn't throttle for less per month (vis a vis family plan) were my buying motivations. But i was gravely mistaken on the slightly part. Much superior to what was already the greatest cheap phone I had owned and likened to the last spendy phone I owned ($800 for T Mobile HTC ONE M8 when first released). This is easily superior to the M8 and thus the best I've ever owned. Zero problems as of first day playing with everything new phone novelty. Fast on all levels. Sleek and sexy looking. And would be a stupid good deal at in store price of $99.95, and criminal at zero cost for switching service on a phone I paid $50 for a three weeks ago when I lost my AT&T phone ... which I gave to a friend still with AT&T who had a cheapy Alcatel. Ridiculous benefit v cost. Highly recommend. And uber kudos on Metro PCS service and value.

  • My neice got this phone not very long ago but gave it to me she got an iphone well im impressed been using a cheep phone. I like the battery fingerprint login is great takes getting used to but i give it 8+

  • I currently owm this phone and my biggest pet peeve is there is no widget to close all background apps, amd i had my phone charging but never reached 100% it went up to 79% through the whole night, ive had this phone for 2 months and more bugs/problems are occuring...so annoying!

  • And for the person that was speaking about the radio that comes with the LG K20 yes you do need an antenna which will be your headphone wire but you also have the option of while it's plugged in to turn the speaker on so it's like you can have the speaker on and also have your headphones on it's pretty cool

  • 🗣️ Everytime I use my earphones my volume jumps around and Google opens up or my camera opens up. I like the phone but fix the issue!!!!

  • So you're saying that the k20 is definitely better than the max xl? That's the phone I have. I like its size but the processor sucks. I'm looking into to switching to metro tomorrow and getting the k20.

  • So you're saying its better than the max xl? That's the phone I have now but an looking to switch companies Tomorrow. I'm sick of boost.

  • Correction : this phone, the K20 plus is way better than zte max xl. Not the pro. I've never used the pro.

  • I have had this phone now for about a month and I am a big fan of it. My last good phone that I owned was the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. I can honestly say this phone's functionality and processor speed is comparable. As another user mentioned the only downfall I found is that there is not a notification LED. The battery seems to last quite a good while even while streaming videos on 4G. Honestly, even longer than the battery lasted on my Note 5! With 32GB of storage and the many features and excellent camera that this device offers I would recommend it to anybody. I'm always a Samsung fan but, if you don't have money you're willing to just waste, this is the best economy phone I've ever used. By far better than the ZTE max pro.

  • I bought this phone for my dad on Tmobile and it works better than his old and at the time expensive galaxy s5. Honestly this phone is great and for the price you cant beat it. He hasnt dropped it and he does have a good case so Im not sure if its durable but it is fast and , No it does not lag for him.

  • Just got the phone, love it. This phone is strong and very useful. Fast, reliable and professional sleek

  • Excellent phone. It's not only very responsive, but has great battery life, an awesome 13 MP camera and plenty of ROM (memory-32GB). METROPCS is giving these phones away for free if you switch carriers through the month of September. Of course you have to switch 2 numbers over to their service, but you get 2 free K20 phones.

  • crap. does not last long. haven't had it a full year and video call already went out. lags a lot, acts weird, just, no. more lg crap.

  • Does anyone notice, that video are kinda blurry, i know its not my internet because my old didnt have the problem.

  • You can turn the screen back on with a double tap - much easier than the power button!

  • I know i was thinking the same thing and the other bad thing is you have to hit the power button to turn the screen on

  • Metropcs.com

  • I got it for free just by switching from boost mobile to metro and i love it.....

  • $99 is currently the "upgrade" pricing with MetroPCS.

  • where did you pay $ 99.00, link?

  • Paid $99 for this at my carrier's website and it's well worth it. 32GB storage, fingerprint sensor works great, very good battery life. My only complaint is that, like many budget phones, it does not have a notification LED.

  • It does have a built in radio antenna, but you have to use your headphone or earbud or speaker wire 3.5mm plugged in. I use it everyday. Very happy w battery and phone. My last phone was Galaxy s3 4 years old, still works, just could not keep it charged, even with new batteries. K20 Plus is a good deal for the money.

  • This device is a real good phone, the battery stay longer I highly recomend, I worth the price to be honest
