I've been using this cell-phone for about 4 months. The phone is excellento... I just luv it! The graphics are so nice... way better than Samsung & Sony Ericson. MP3 player is also gr8. The only problem is with the battery, Which I must say say isn't such a big problem... it works well 4 about 4 days if u'r not using it like hell! Specially the best part is it doesn't stuck.

I have been using this phone for 1,5 year and although it has problems I still love it. The microphone stopped working properly and it's great to have the opportunity to send it somewhere where it will be fixed, hopefully:D (free guarantee for 2 years) I miss my chocolate and I hope I can continue using it for a long time after I have got it back:) There are a lot of drawbacks which come along with that phone, but it depends on the durability of the phone and how you take care of it. Mine is a piece of gold compared to the one which was owned by my friend. And I've heard a lot of bad things from other people, too. Everyone says that they wouldn't recommend it at all, but in my opinion, if you have some extra money (haha) and you are really interested in this phone, then you should try it. Maybe you're lucky and get the good one:P But if your aim is to get quality instead of quantity, then I wouldn't recommend it. When my chocolate stoppes working for good, I won't buy LG anymore. My first choice would be Nokia, That's the quality! But still, Chocolate is my baby as long as I can use it and it is the most beautiful phone I have ever seen:) (L)

Ok, i have this phone for more then a year now. Phone is excellent in every way. If you are normal user, everything is good, and you will be happy whit it. There is one problem that was annoying me to hell and back, i have a small business and i wonted to Sync this phone to Outlook, now to be clear this phone dose not do this easy, and i just now discovered how to do this (and now i am happy like crazy :D ). Solution is: 1.) you need to download LG PC Suite 2 Link to it: Now i know this is a torrent, but i have use this one, and it is working for me, i don't wont to give you some bs link that maybe will not work, and then some one smart will tell how i am bs. So if you dont like torrent and you are scared of viruses google LG PC Suite 2. 2.)Now, first install "LG PC Suite 2".(you are doing this because there is a driver on it that works whit even windows7 x64 system, that i am using now, so basically in it is a driver that actually works). After that you need to install "LG GSM Sync" (you get that in the box whit your mobile phone when you have bought it (small cd)). Install it, but when installation ask you to install driver (i think it say modem driver) say no and finish. You are installing this because KE800 works only whit that program to be able to sync. 3.)Now to sync. Connect KE800 on usb cable and run "LG GSM Sync", when the screen show it self first you need to click on icon of calendar, and then on the Connect icon (what i have found is that it is best to connect usb cable directly to comp. and not to use extension cable, but only the one you get in the box, and then it works whit no problems) Now you can copy data from phone to Mobile Sync, and you can import data from outlook to it and then to the phone. But you can't export data to outlook. 4.)Well, luckily for you i know how you can (and now if there is some one smart out there that will say i know that, WHERE THE FRACK WERE YOU ALL THIS TIME). So in "LG GSM Sync" go to File > Export (shortcut press Alt, press f, press e ) press find file to select where you will save data (desktop is the best), name your file, click save, and then next, on the next screen select Tab, and click Finish. Now go to desktop and rename the extension of the file you just created (it will have extension .tab), you need to change (rename it) to .txt . You will be asked if you are sure that you wont to do that, select Yes. Now open Outlook (im using 2007) Go File > Import and Export > Import from another program or file (select it and click Next)> scroll down to Tab Separated Values (Windows) (select it and click Next) > Now on the new screen under Files to import click brows, find your file on desktop, select it and click Open, you have options to Replace current data in outlook, Allow duplicate, or not import duplicates. I recommend Allow duplicates, it is very easy to delete data you don't need any more in outlook, click Next > on this screen select Contacts and click Next. Now data will be sync. And this would be it. First time it is a pain in the arss, but in essence this is like 5 steps procedure, and you will have all your data sync, and backuped. If it dose not work for you, this is step by step manual that i have typed here, i really can help you more. This is how i make my KE800 to Sync.

Hey everyone. First and foremost, I had and still do have this phone for a little over a year now. I have gotten so much attention from people. They just can't keep their smudging fingers off my phone. They absolutely love and so do I. In all fairness, the phone is beautiful. For the first couple weeks I had sweaty palms using it. Anyways. Its beautiful but impractical. I mean the features are there, but they don't really work for me. They're not practical. Using the phone itself is a joy. It makes really cool sounds. Sometimes I find myself just pressing and scrolling through the menu just to hear the sounds the phone makes and see all the sophisication of the menu and stuff. Oh. Back to the features. Terrible battery life right of the top. Maybe that's why I got an extra battery with my (it cam ewith the phone). Oh the phone box looks amazing. I still have mine. It looks real expensive. Yeah. Um. Battery suffers. There's practically no speaker phone, its too low. Pains me to use it so I forget about it. Flash? Turn it on and the light stays on whether or not u take a pic. Sometimes I use it as a convenient flash light cause it just stays on. I have to shout to the persons with whom I'm conversing for them to hear me. That's the thing that pains me most about the phone. Pain, pain, pain. I get real upset with it because of that. Pics come out real nice on my pc, dont look so good on the phone itself. The voice recorder thingy is another pain. I literally have to put the phone against my ear to hear what I recoreded...almost like the so called speaker phone. I have to put the phone quite close to my ear to hear it (I suffer no hearing impairment). I believe this totally defeats the purpose. Well there are a couple of other itty bitty things. I pay much attention to detail, but I'm rational so I believe those details are a bit way off. These are the only pains I have wit the phone. Aprt from them (and the other minute short comings) the phone is great. Would recommend it to someone who loves attention, or likes to have great looking things, someone who has taste and style and won't get upset when the battery dies at mid-day after getting a couple long calls and taking a few pics because the battery sucks (travel with the spare to solve this prob) or won't get upset because of the impracticallity of the so called that sealed the deal and convinced you that this phone is all beauty with just as much features. All in all, Unparalleled beauty.... Hell YES!!!, Features...YES, Practicallity...NO!-resolutely. Ps. Signal isn't all that, but it works for me...most of the time.

And for the ones saying battery life is ridiculous.. It isn't THAT bad... I very oftenly had to empty my message box before I had to charge the phone's battery, so you can see my use of the phone and how the battery was ok (just not good)... Maybe you hear a lot of music, or talk a lot, or even spend most of the time going up and down on the menu just for fun, I don't know. But I do know that mine SURELY lasted longer than a lousy day or two, even with the phone being on 24/7.

I had this phone for 14 months, and everything said on this review is true. Whenever I was on a call with someone, there were a lot of background noises, and sometimes, due to the wind, I couldn't even hear the other person speaking. As for the software, it could really be smarter, since it hasn't many customizing menu and shortcut options, and navigating through files can be a pain when in a hurry. There is also that browser shortcut, which I believe was misplaced, and I kept touching it unintentionaly, thus having to wait to turn it off and start over whatever I was doing. However, I never had an hardware problem. The battery falls short sometimes, but nothing too serious. About the sensor keypad, although it really did felt strange in the beggining, worked just fine in my hands a few days later. The final problem that makes me say that I "had" this phone was caused by me.. :S So, being it very pretty, and being its flaws bearable, I must say it is not a bad phone.. I can almost recommend it! (just because it is sooo cool :P) I miss my chocolate.. lol

Do not buy this phone if you are in the market for a phone. Please look away from this KE800. Signal is horrible, the only way to get half descent signal is in the middle of a football field and make sure it's not a dome. The battery is weak.

This phone really sucks I bought it at December and its broken 1 year later. I bought my Razr V3 for 20$ and it lasted for 2 years. The phone started having problems 9 months later, at first the touching pad was messing up, then the screen started to go blinking and at last the screen dosen't even show anything at all. When I brought the phone to get it fix it will cost me 60$ so I mind as well get a new one since the phone only cost $240. Now the next phone I'm plaanning to buy is the Sony Ericson P1 that phone looks pretty cool.

My boyfriend got me this phone in november and it was broken by february. At first I was mad about it, but after a few months became veeeery dissapointed. It started with the touch pannel, sometimes it just wouldn't work and a few weeks later the screen started blinking until it stoped showing the picture at all. After just two months using it, it was completely out of service. I wouldn't suggest buyng it, because as I see, I'm not the only one having this problem and you never know if you'll get lucky with this phone or not.

I like the phone its Beautiful but what i HATE about it is that for EXAMPLE when the Radio is on u cant check your messages or seach the contacts, its likeu cant open another folder or whatever if the other one is open.Mine came with the memory card but i cant install music in it and if i use the USB cable to istall music it shows on the PC thatits installed in the phone but once i disconnect the Music is not there.In the case of a battery i dont wanna comment cause im just tired of charging my phone every now and then.I dont encourage people to buy it .

i like it/ I am man and find it respected to use. Some things requires special understanding which is different to common sliders. Battery lives for 3days with around 1hour calling during these days and using radio + alarm. Find it ok. Pretty nice body of slider. One of the best sliders i have e ver used. One thing is difficult for me - you can't listen music,radio and in back mode. By the way the MP3 player is perfect. Wen you would like to copy music from your PC don't try to create new folder - - place your music in existant folder. on oter hand your created folders invisable.

I had this phone for about an a week, then I give it to my sister. It`s not difficult to use, it`s very nice and charming, and it has a lot of fancy things. About the controls, the bad thing is that you must to use it with dry hands. When you whant to make anything you have to be very careful. It`s get dirty very easy, and can take your eyes out.If you need phone-do not take this one. If you want just a thing, that has a telephony get it!

I just received the ke800 gold and I think it is an absolutely beautiful phone, I was kind of sceptical about getting it because of other peoples opinions about the controls being difficult to use and all of that but i find it very user friendly and it works like a charm. My only fault is the incoming call volume, you can hardly hear the person on the next end of the call and 5 is the highest for the volume, calls with the earphones seem to help abit, but besides that its a beautiful phone and YOU WILL LOVE IT!

To those that say this model looks more masculine!.... well sure a thought is conceptual and never really actualised realisation with all. Bacically a masculine characteristics are angular and more defined. But the upper level design, the much sleeker slide and the choice of colours overrules what the guys at gsmarena, thought made this more applealing to males. I've currently got a motorla now. I have been with them for about two years now. Although i agree that motorola's are rubbish. It's not for the same reasons. The phones i have had on motorola are pretty much indestrucable [[And i have the skinny phones]]. The software on motorolas [[especially bluetooth]] isn't user friendly. Anywho. LG only has a bad name in the phone industry because it's older models weren't as up to date as others. But they are really comming through with their Black Label series. Aaron.

Attempting to remove the writing on the front will most certainly damage the phone since the characters are more or less engraved in the front platinum strip. Not advisable I'm affraid! :-(

Much improved over original Chocolate - touch screen almost perfect, illumination fine in all lighting conditions. MP3 quality very good (for a phone) - operability should be improved though. On the downside Bluetooth compatability still poor with car kits.

The phone is really good, and its good to see LG changed the phone from the test unit (review) to the final one. and added backlight buttons and have improved the camera speeds. However my camera takes pictures with a bit grainy effect to it This only happens after the camera has taken the picture. I have played around with all the settings and cannot change it. Is anyone else having problems?

Cool phone. Only downside for me would be that the unit converter hasn't got the same as the KG800. Anybody who knows if you can downloade a better unit converter for this phone? I would especially miss the clothes and shoe converter.

Black Label series is LG's classification for their high end phone, just like Nokia's N Series. Anyway, Chocolate are going to be released in 3 new color, Maroon Red, White and Pink. I've been crazy waiting for the maroon one.

Yes, I reported that it would be out in 10day from that day I posted however, LG had a few problems with packaging and other things related to the phone which has postponed the launch of the New LG Chocolate to the 1st week of 2007. Hopefully the phone will be out around the world from January 1st or anytime in the first week of January. LG, why dont you listen to the people who buy your phones. The phone internal workings on the 8380 was great! I have 2 phones Motorola and LG8380 i preferr to use the 8380 but your Designer needs a new start. Your last 10 design of mobiles stinks! The look stinks! I have tested the phone. Nice looks - bad functionality, esp when it comes to MP3. The built in player can only find files stored on the phone. To play from memorycard, you have to browse for the files and open then one by one !!!??? You can't make playlists, and internal memory is only 60 MB. This stinks.

Must be 9mm thin?! This phone is a garbage enough due to its stupid touch screan and small battery size. It's a shame but even with my favorite Nokia I can't find a one normal handseat today. The closest ones are 6125, 6126 models, but Nokia has channged the user interface on those ones (small size letters, unremovable themes, plus a little ilogical menu structure, and on top of that small design, followed by small battery which is useless if you use a bluetooth). SHAME, SHAME, SHAME, SHAME!

I work with mobiles and we do a ridiculous amount of returns for touch screen handsets, esp the KG800. For functionality reasons touchscreens should be scrapped imho, until the technology is perfected. This phone will have the same problems as the other LG, i guarantee it. And its not even that good.

The best phone they made was U8380 (flip phone) I just got offered a free Motorola raz a good loking phone but No where as good as LG U8380. I can't record voices on Motorola while on the phone. 8380 Its great when you havent got a pen & paper, Simply record phone or address. To edit photos its easy, When multi messaging 8380 better. The list goes on & on. LG i know why you don't listen to the public. You need to improve the look of your phones your going off the rails with the last 5 phones you brought out. A concern consumer.

I hope this phone irons out all of the kinks in the previous model. On the original the buttons are too sensitive and clumsy, there's no speakerphone and it gets smudges easily. Winning design and specs though. I wouldn't get it though because LG have a reputation of being unreliable.
