Motorola One Vision - User Reviews

  • Amazing phone I have ever seen in my life!

  • Your totally correct nexus 6 by moto best phone it's wide I own it.

  • No

  • 21:9 ratio is just ridiculous! It's shaped like a ruler. In profile your keyboard would be tiny, reading an article/message would be 2 or 3 lines for each sentence. I hate slimmer profile phones, you get less screen real estate. E.G Nokia 2.1 16:9 aspect ratio is 5.5" 83.4 cm2 screen area, Nokia 2.2 19:9 it screen is 5.71" yet it's screen area is only 81.4 cm2. So the Nokia 2.1 has more screen area. 16:9 is the usual ratio for movies, TV even gaming, but the new phone screen ratios of 18:9 to 21:9 means you're watching movies/videos with black lines on either end of the screen.

  • Think you have'nt bought flagship phones after 2018, iphones, Galaxy, Oppo's, Vivo's, OnePlus's.

  • Which one is better this or Huawei p30 lite in comparison to the camera? Thank you.

  • Actually you are comparing a mid-range phone with a flagship one. It's not a fair comparison. I previously owned Samsung galaxy s8 now I am owning Moto one vision. Really a good phone. Night vision is too good compared to S8 or s9 because to own an s9 you have to pay almost double the amount.

  • Hello, I'd like to know if the narrow and tall screen makes the letters too small. I'm a little worried about that. Thank you.

  • it´s way more confortable in your hands for typing

  • Have this phone. Motorola actually makes this Exynos works better than Samsung in A50. Very optimized and fast in Moto Vision. Strange, but good optimisation + Android One makes this device outstanding.

  • I’m sorry for that weird word, I didn’t made that word, it’s that big made words looking weird

  • Edit: i mean Don’t, not weird word

  • That chip is made by Samsung Collaboration with Motorola, because they don’t want to use another chip for One Series

  • That chip is made by Samsung because Motorola didn’t want to pick another chip for One Phones

  • Exynos?

  • Superior on "some aspects". But does One Vision has a wider field of view on the rear and selfie cameras? Does it have night mode similar to the Pixel devices? Does the One Vision have a better front cameras than the S9+ in terms of actual hardware such as pixel size, aperture, etc.?

  • Galaxy S- phones are not patriculary superior. If perhaps you are comparing it to a 2019 upper midrange/intermediate phone then maybe the latter can fight it off with its specs.

  • I like this phone but the S9 is a superior phone on every aspect.

  • Hi there. I currently have the old flagship Samsung Galaxy S9+. Bit disappointed / underwhelmed by the front & rear cameras not having a wider angle lens as I had hoped (or looking for) and especially the quality of the selfie camera. Would you think the One Vision is a good proposition/alternative in terms of my issues with the Galaxy? Any honest and polite suggestions & advice are very much appreciated.

  • Worst exynos chipset, i prefer snapdragon only

  • you can tell apps and games to run in 21:9 or another compatable size. until they are ready for 21:9. this size is the new future sizes. so more apps will adapt soon to it automatically. and with android 10 due any day now. it might have the solution built in.. ive have this phpne for about a month and ive had no problems. i decided to use app for cover the notch space. so my phone looks more 19:9 ..so when i play games or apps it adjusts to match.

  • I am using One Vision. K I see only 5% content today available around supports 21:9 ratio. And when it comes to applications with 10%-15% apps we can have problem due to 21:9

  • use app .as there is no front led. there is not many good apps to use on android for it. i usually side install my old trusted app(its no longer available on google play., that displayed for " whatsapp, wechat, messenger, facebook. ebay, viber, gmail, line, instagram, snapchat., etc

  • Actually you're wrong as some budget Nokia smartphones have removable battery

  • Don't please don't talk rubbish, no phone ever will come close to DSLR quality. You obviously know little about photography

  • ive had my motorola one vision for about 4 weeks now. and it works great. the battery life is good.. yes a 4000mah would have been better, but the fast charge helps. people are hating on the Exynos 9609 chip and wondering why its used. well the answer is "the camera used inside is samsung. and it works best with the "AI", built into the Exynos 9609 and 9610 chipsets.. and it works great. i came from a SAMSUNG A50 over to the motorola one vision... ,(im a massive samsung fan),but i came to motorola one for its "android one"(guaranteed updates to android 10 and 11,and fast), most other companies are getting slow at updates. ..

  • Xiaomi mi se of course waaaaaay more powerful

  • 21:9 screen is actually the reason im buying it. It's the cheapest phone with 21:9 screen. Imagine watching movies on it with no black bars. And in India it is the best android one phone under 200$

  • thats its bad: missing fane fuktion like samsung have, have too better batterytime, not snow all install apps on screen that its good: bigscreen, some easy menys, fast carging

  • This one or Xiaomi mi 9 se? In my country similar prices. Whick one to pick?

  • I bought Moto one vision before 1Month and I am totally satisfied with this mobile Awesome camera and display

  • this happens on the new youtube patch update ( may 2019 ) it is not a problem and is part of youtubes UI. it is just normal

  • Led notification on front ? or use a app ?

  • Overall this is very very good only battery 3500. Recharge it 2 times while gaming other wise it's okkk.

  • It has been many years smartphone has stop using removable battery. Fyi, phone vendor don't even sell removable battery anymore. Whatever you looking for you will never find it in this era. You can try classic feature phone if you like.

  • I bought this phone a month ago, and it's a best phone I ever had, this camera it's amazing, the NIght Vision it's great, but if you want to use in the manual mode, there is a software responsable to try making the experience to be the best, near to a SLR Camera, in the great part of the situations with no good conditions of light, like an example, it's nice! but in extreme situations like a photo of the moon or the stars the SLR Camera still the best option, because the result isn't really good. But, like a said, in extreme conditions! In all others situations of use, it’s awesome!

  • Why in the world would you need a removable battery? Classic Apple hater who probably blames the fact he stubbed his toe on the iPhone. You're annoying.

  • does this work in philippines

  • Available Pakistan are not?

  • EduardoBC, you are kidding right, no one makes a phone with a removable battery in 2019 and why would you want one, do you plan on keeping the phone for 10 years.

  • So just confirming you’re still running with galaxy s5 or similar maybe a v20 or a G5 cos those are the most current smartphones with removeable battery

  • I bought Motorola Vision 3 weeks back and since the time I bought the device has rebooted multiple time, sometimes twice in a day. When the support team is contacted they gave options to fix the issue but nothing works. Finally they want me to visit the nearest Motorola Service Center. I am not confident service for newly bought device will be of any help. Anyone has faced similar issues ?

  • i think the things which makes this phone different are the cons of this phone, for example:the pin hole camera, first in this price, but it was better for moto to have stuck with a notch because this looks bad,it is HUGE,comes way more in middle as compared to other brands like sammy and huawei.secong the 21:9 aspect,a new thing but looks again bad with this phone, plus as i said before the camera even becomes more annoying because this phone is quite narrow

  • And why on earth in 2019 do you need a removable batery??

  • Really , you will have to go back in time to find a phone with removable battery So , your argument for not getting this phone is not a good one

  • Unfortunately, non removable battery. That alone makes me stay away from this beautiful phone. What a pity that manufacturers have to incorporate stupid features all copied from Apple, a company that has greatly damaged the cellphone industry and the fool and stupid manufacturers that follow Apple products.

  • This phone is absolutely great, especially considering it's price.

  • I have the phone from 2 months. It's amazing what it really is for that kind of money. I bought it at a promotional price of 275 Euro. 1. The screen is perfect even in outdoor. No problems in very sunny day 2. The battery is also perfect. I don't know what problem have the others and Gsmarena, but on WiFi with auto brightness it makes over 10 hours Screen on Time. 3. The GPS is perfect. 4. No problems with build quality. 5. The camera is amazing. No problems with this phone.

  • Need some help here, I don't know if you are having the same problem/issue or if there's one. Well, when I start to watch any video, for example the one I recorded, or on YouTube or Netflix etc, from nowhere the video become bright like thouse photo "beauty effect", but when I pause the video and the screen become a bit dark, the screen normalize and when I start the video again this bizarre effect comes back...please, give me some explanation here, didn't find anything about it.

  • Yes 7k discount. It means $280 piece I got for $190

  • No only 1 sim Volte enabled. Other only 4G Lte

  • Does it have dual volte? and both slot simultaneously 4G enabled?

  • Moto one vision I purchased for 12,300. 4700 I got for old device + 3000 exchange benifit.

  • is that came to 7k ? now its 20k

  • I would up to 4000mAh & keep the current Exynos chip but I agree with most of the list! :D (also remove the damn hole in display or the very least place it in the middle... x-x)

  • In exchange of ur old phone during Flipkart billion day sale in July 2019 in India we can claim extra 3000 off on Moto One Vision which seems I can trade my old Moto Z2 Play for INR 7000. Motorola one vision @ $ 175. not a bad deal. And Poco F1 with extra INR 5000 on exchange brings it too $125. OMG Last year's Flagship Chip at just $100. What else you need bro.

  • Doesnt support VOLTE on Vodafone / Airtel (India) yet. Wonder if Motorola is slow for updates or its Network provider mess.

  • I have this phone for a day now My thoughts 1. First thing you should do is make "Display size" smaller in settings and text size slightly larger 2. Battery is a major disappointment, be prepared to carry around your charger with you 3. Phone feels nice in the hand, swipe typing feels nice with the narrow screen 4. A bit on the heavy side, it should've been 20 grams lighter 5. This aspect ratio grows on you, and I feel like once u get used to it, you don't wanna go back 6. Slippery without cover but looks beautiful, better grip with cover but cover looks cheap 7. Reception isn't as strong as my previous Nokia 7 plus 8. Android One, no BS clean user experience Overall this is a step down from my previous Nokia 7 plus but still a decent device if it weren't for the terrible battery life. 👎👎👎&#128078;👎👎👎&#128078;👎

  • Moto Vision 2 (concept): - 6 inch screen since 6.3 seems a bit too tall to reach the top - 6GB RAM - 7nm mid-range cpu - smaller hole - smaller notification bar - 20 grams lighter - 3800 mAh at least - better internet reception - make display size smaller by default because when I first used the device I thought everything was cramped - AMOLED would look really nice on this already elegant device Around $400 USD would be I believe a competitive price.

  • The Motorola One Vision sadly has quality control issues. I bought mine a couple of days ago and couldn't charge the phone. Found out that it would charge if it was in boot mode and ONLY boot mode. As you'd generally would want to be able to use it while charging, I had to return it. Found out that the store I bought it from was having the same issues with their display models, so they were the only phones that weren't being charged in the entire store, lol! It seems to me this is something that could potentially be a very big issue in the future. Sad, because I really liked the phone. Will be holding on to my Lenovo P2 for a bit longer then. Hopefully they'll fix the issue in the more "exclusive" versions (wireless charging please!) that are coming this fall.

  • Only against splash...

  • Is this Water resistance?

  • so budget means bad design, lousy quality control and inherent product problems?

  • The rear camera is only upto 12MP and not the 48mp. Really misleading!

  • Netflix and Amazon Video are not seen in HD and the corners of the movies are badly cut, I feel mocked ...

  • Nah, there should be 16GB of RAM. And 1TB storage. And a 15000mAh. Seriously.... This is a budget phone.

  • Looks good but why moto is not thinking to come 4000 mah battery with new phone this is today's important requirement which is fulfilling by all phone I like to buy but thinking about k20 pro with more thing with good battery

  • Hi! Android One is stock android that gets constant updates for 2 years and security updates for another 3 years (similarly to Google Pixel devices) whereas with normal android (as seen on samsung devices etc.), you'd be lucky to get one major update and thats usually it.

  • This is the official version of it. In a few short words: you get the normal android with minimum customisation and the patches and updates come in faster than on other devices. "Android One is a near-stock version of the Android operating system released by Google. Android One cannot be altered by the companies that make the phones, and only runs on certain smartphones. The Android One brand promises regular security updates for three years, and Android OS updates for two years."

  • There should be 6GB RAM.

  • Planning to buy this phone. Can anyone please let me know the basic difference between Android One and normal Android? Thanks in advance

  • Absolutely great all of it

  • If that silly hole was in the middle I would have considered this device... V-V

  • In fingerprint display only working design in OLED Display. But Motorola one version design display is LCD Panel because of punch hole camera design. Samsung only doing OLED punch hole r laser cut design display. Samsung display cost is very high. Motorola one version medium budget phone, not a flagship phone.so Motorola designed backside fingerprint.

  • Why fingerprint scanner on the back and not in the front, stuped deccison from Motorola.

  • Does this phone suport Google camera app

  • Will these phones come to the US?? The Moto One (P30 Play) is sold at Best Buy, so why wouldn't these new ones come to the north american market?

  • Absolutely! I went from 16:9 to 21:9... now I feel like 16:9 is very short and fat, compared to elegantly slim 21:9. =)

  • Hmmm... My battery lasts whole day. I play games like Smashing Four - not a heavy gamer, I browse the net, Take pictures, make phone calls, play videos... =)

  • Thank you.

  • Did Moto one vision give hole one day With games Or not

  • only 2CA ? Tech spec. Samsung 9609 say ? LTE Cat.12 3CA 600Mbps (DL) / Cat.13 2CA 150Mbps (UL), so why only 2CA DL ? And... 4K UHD 60fps encoding and decoding with HEVC(H.265),H.264, VP9, and again downgrade by Motorola, video 2160p only in 30fps. this is supported by the manufacturer and it is a golden shot with clean android :o)

  • The GPS is perfect. No complaints. It's better and more accurate than Nokia 8. Moto One Vision is perfect phone. No bugs and no cons for me.

  • Which storage type?

  • Front glass is most likely not made of Gorilla glass. From the official specs: "Front 2.5D glass, rear 3D Gorilla Glass". So, it is clear that rear glass is Gorilla, but from my understanding the front glass is not Gorilla. It is unspecified 2.5D glass. And it's not only me, there is confusion over this on all review sites. Even in this review: "The maker doesn't say anything about its origin so it's likely not Gorilla Glass, but we can't be certain". Admin on Lenovo forum has closed the topic as resolved, without giving a straight answer. It seams like they wrote the specs to be confusing on purpose, and they avoid giving the answer. Technically they didn't lie, but most of the readers can come to the wrong conclusion and think that the front glass is Gorilla, but it is not.

  • GPS is very slow, sometimes you need to restart your phone for it to work... But it still works. =)

  • Nice phone, but still fingerprint senor on the back and slow release of security updates.

  • Did you love the 21:9 ratio?

  • Is the GPS good on this phone? Ive seen a few ppl complain about gps signal on their moto vision on lenovo forums. Its the only reason i havent gotten mine yet.

  • For an average user like me, It lasts a whole day with the battery saver option activated. =)

  • Very Satisfactory, It takes excellent pictures at low light. =)

  • The Camera is very good, especially at low light where most phones at its price range failed! I'm very satisfied with this phone. And the battery for an average user like me, It lasts a whole day, sometimes, even more since I am using the battery saver option. =)

  • Yup2... up to 8x zoom... =)

  • MOTO give us sd730 version with 5000mah battery !!!

  • I don't want to make hate but I hold this phone in my hand an it was very long. It was weird! I like the design tho!

  • is the 48mp camara with zooming option?

  • Hows the camera on this device? And does the battery take too long to charge?

  • No, it has no notification LED. It has only Moto Display - display activates it self for few seconds once notification arrives

  • Still fingerprint in the back...? Why..?

  • I agree with that the quality of xiaomi is better than samsung

  • Does this Motorola have a notification led?

  • How come then aren't any reviews for the Motorola cyclops?

  • When will they upgrade to android 10 for Motorola onevision.

  • But xiaomi looks good. I run a phone shop with 38 stores around my country and xiaomi always sells like hot cakes. Their phones under 200 price tag last much longer than Samsung devices under 200 pricetag. Many of my customers can confirm that.

  • SOC doesn't make up for terrible build quality and crappy MIUI. I want my phone to look good even after 1 year without babysitting it.

  • Well i know but maybe xiaomi arent very durable they are a good specs for a fair price compared to pixel series Samsung phones or Sony and LG midrangers.

  • Xiaomi have terrible build quality (compared to the competition). Nokia make the most rigid phones, JerryRigEverything is the proof.

  • They ask too much for a device which under xiaomi brand cost half price. In past Samsung were quality in present they are equal. Because they are number 1 top selling manufacturer doesnt means they can adds 500% to the price.

  • Samsung are honestly overrated.

  • I was looking for a successor of my Moto X4 but nothing with Exynos. I wouldnt support samsung no matter what.

  • Hows it. Is it available in UAE ?

  • does it support screen mirroring to smart TV

  • hows the camera performance?

  • Saudi Arabia, I've just bought it today.

  • Which countries Motorola is selling this particular mobile.

  • Which countries Motorola is selling this particular mobile.

  • Can someone tell me how is the battery life, I'm thinking about the phone but not sure how battery perform

  • I bought this phone for my wife because of the amazing camera and night vision mode , it's really amazing we can't find such a quality in this price but something i love more about this phone now is the display as soon as you watch YouTube or playing game on this phone you can't comeback to 16:9 anymore it's look a huge screen to your eyes , i really can't explain but it's really even bigger than the number , 21:9 is the future

  • i got this phone yesterday.... i felt its not so tall even it has 21:9 aspect ratio... when it comes to battery,,,theres a 62% since i turned on the phone and now i have 28% remaining.. screen on time 2hrs 39mins.

  • +1 Last one that i have was Moto x4 So much pleasure to use it even with one hand.

  • Another massively tall phone , Next one could be comparable with the TV's remote control , Ahhh I miss 16:9 Phones .

  • Endurance 67h??? That's about the same as an old iphone pre-2014. :P What an Epic fail.

  • think so

  • It is Chocolate phone wide 71mm !! and long phone

  • I think that iPhones are more private than androids because android is owned by google and they use that information to give the users certain advertisements based on what they search up.

  • Does Motorola plan to bring this device to the US market? In US we have limited mid range options. The new pixel A is a good option but this Motorola one offers a better design.

  • are you serious? If you want privacy buy the iphone 1lol

  • this is basically samsung phone with the service of Motorola/Lenovo. double profit for both stakeholder.

  • You say it like other companies hasn't done THAT. There's the Nokia lines, there's the BQ(if you're from Europe.) line. They are mostly the same.

  • I think the problem is from motorola coz g7 plus got only 59h with snapdragon soc

  • samsung SoC hungry power, the rest just find since fast charging. motorola always has great hardware and with android one become perfect

  • Because their soc sucks

  • new samsung exynos 9609 chipset!!!

  • hmm.. according to it specs and price group one vision is nice phone

  • No, motorola has been exit from Indonesian market.

  • serious question... maybe go live in the woods,,.. buy a 2001 phone.. do not buy a phone... all good ..

  • endurance 67 hrs? wow... soooo 2 times a day charging.. nice phone.. good luck

  • I Think Its good phone, By The Way is it Ready in Indonesia market?

  • But the CPU is on par with the SD660! Only its GPU is slightly worse besides who cares if they use a Kirin 710, Helio P60 or SD660 its all about the same the only notable change is if you pick the SD710 which has only 2 good cores but trades it for a Fortnite compatible GPU! O3O

  • And Europe! O3O

  • Available now in Extra stores Saudi Arabia

  • You are lacking of research. Exynos was used in Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus (for Middle East market).

  • I've never owned a Motorola phone, generally because they have been too bulky, often between 75 and 77 mm wide. They've gone to the other extreme here. Nice and narrow at 71 mm but so much so that it is too tall. A phone that is 160 mm long and I'd worry about it tipping out of my shirt pocket. A better size would have been 73 by 156.

  • Its a mid-range chip its not as bad as say buying a flagship with Exynos... Yet this hatred towards Mediatek and Exynos is silly... O_O

  • I want privacy, how do I cover the punch hole front camera?

  • They already have the phone for a certain period of time but is still under embargo, which means they are not allowed to publish anything. Same with the OnePlus 7 pro. When they do, they won’t get a review unit next time. Once the phone is officially released, the review can be published and the embargo will be lifted.

  • Does anyone realised all the photos showing in this review has an extremely fast shutter speed? all of them were between 1/7000 to 1/12000. this does not give sufficient light to the photos and will ruin the photos. even if this is a DSLR camera, it won't show a good result.

  • they have the phone before the release to review it fully, they just must NDA to not show any material until the ban is lifted (device is released or announced)

  • hey gsmarena, slow down with reviews!

  • Premium materials and an improved camera in the trade of an outdated CPU with only 4GB RAM. Is it worth? I don't know, but it costs almost the same as Z2 Force (released 2 years ago) in which has better CPU and 6 GB RAM. If keeping the same hardware capability over two years makes a device outdated, you can imagine how could we define it after a downgrade? Maybe Motorola knows better than us that improved cameras and bigger screens increase sales more than CPU and RAM, but for geeks like the most of us, this device doesnt seem to be a good choice.

  • What is this a joke? the phone came out today and there's already a review with a battery test lol? how did you manage to do it? plus it's so hard to believe that the battery score was so low...

  • No Exynos chipset since the S7 was power efficient. Stupidly 160mm tall and poor battery life = dead on arrival.

  • 21:9?? stop this aspect ratio madness!

  • Seems nice, but for a big mobile like this, the battery is way too small, 4000+ or no go.

  • you seem to like exynos but still you seem "hoping it works smoothly". Why the doubt? You mad that Samsung selling its hardware? Samsung sells its Displays to nearly every company, their RAM, ROM, Antennas too...why wouldn't they sell their SOC? Samsung doesn't give a monkey's about who uses their hardware - it's all about the money...capitalism, yo...

  • this one good phone, looking forward here in PH

  • So this phone uses Exynos that means Samsung have started selling some of their Chipset to the companies which need them. Well this chip has some of the best GPU on the market between the midrangers, coupled with Android One I hope it will work smoothly.

  • i dont like gogle cam too or what u mean

  • P30 was good only thanks to GCam that works only with SnapDragon... this??? what is this?? Exicrapnos is worse then SD660, well, obviously.. nothing good comes out of sh!tty lenovo

  • Wow this looks amazing I hope the camera is made by Sony and the xeynos 9610 is amazing in the Samsung a50 so I bet its going to be great in this phone. I'm so buying this!

  • why exynos??? WHHYYYY???? no snapdragon = google-cam = I'm not buying this pff

  • I think the One stands for upper mid range, the old X series

  • What is the expected release date?

  • Motorola one is better than the g series.

  • what about GPU? is it good?

  • Not in terms of GPU, also I heard it was inferior to the Kirin 710 & Helio P60...
