LG KP100 - User Reviews

  • they should have it back on track in the market this phone is very nice

  • it`s telefon is cool.GSM,GAMES,SMS,WORLD CLOCK for a unpretentious people

  • Nice phone. It's light, easy to use and works fine. However, it only has basic features (calls, messaging, alarm clock...) No Internet, music, camera etc. Good for children and old people.

  • how to make the phone to work on all sim providers cause mine works only on one ?

  • I need a manual.

  • hi,dial 2945#*# and select factory reset from the menu,,that's all...

  • hi friends, I have this phone. I have a problem with this. It is constantly switching off n on. When I put the battery out then it stops otherwise it is continuously switching on and off!!! I really like this phone as it is smart light weight... I just need to know what would be the problem?? would it be a hardware problem or software? If software then its software will be available in market or not??? waiting for reply!! Thanks

  • Hi. can anybody tell me how i type the enter(┘) in this phone.

  • I DONT like the phone hohoho

  • i agree dude

  • Sorry, I just found the answer below: the specifications on this page are incorrect. No WAP, GPRS, USB.

  • Does this phone really have GPRS/WAP/USB ? I don't own this, but the manual does not say so.

  • can you tell me-for what kind og registarion you need to do for bank account. r u expecting a new function, can you brief please. Thanks, chandana

  • keys is veryyy very hard and to noise---sms have not enter and very slow in messaging who are long

  • This phone sucks big time. When the battery level gets low, it emits an annoying and loud beep sound every few minutesuntil you connect it to the charger or the phone runs entirely out of battery. This is especially annoying when that happens in the middle of the night while you're sleeping. This cannot be disabled. Also the connector for the charger is placed in a very stupid position - it is located at the top left side, so you can't really use the phone while charging.

  • just hit the MENU-key folowed by the *-key

  • Its cheap, reliable, with a little bit slow response time but has a lasting battery. I charge it about 1 a week even if i use it more frequently. The Specifications here are wrong... There's no GPRS, no Wap, and no USB unless you can use the recharge plug as one but i never found cables for that even on the internet, there's no down-loadable content and no EMS.

  • Can you get it in Australia?

  • hi guys, i just want to know how many days does the battery can hold? with using about ten minutes of calls on a day only....tia

  • For 10 this is excellent, light, battery lasts a week and unlike most phones at this price the call quality is good and the display is decent.

  • Yes, press Menu and *, just like in Nokia phones. To unlock, press the left and then the right softkey (it will appear on the screen)

  • Not a gprs activated iam on thish phone

  • Does anyone know how to lock the keypad on this phone please?

  • hello sir plz unlock phone my IMEI NO.359476021657597

  • Hi, do you still need a manual for this phone?

  • Oh, and another thing I forgot to mention: you can set up to 3 independent alarms

  • I have this phone for almost two weeks. THE GOOD: I like the design of this phone and it's lite.. The screen has reasonable brightness (similar to my SE W810's) and the font is small to fit 5 lines of text on an SMS. About 3 or 4 of the ringtones are loud (sharp, that is) and the standby time is more than ok - (my case) around 11 days with little calls and a few games of Sudoku. The call volume is ok, but I haven't tried it yet in a noisy environment. Also, the speakerphone feature is loud enough. It's nice to have a calendar, but it's limmited to 20 appointments, so you can't put in your friends' birthdays to remind you each year.. A PLUS: - you can ajust backlight time for display and keys independently. - you can set up the sms tone to repeat every 1 minute until you read all the new messages THE BAD: The slow processor and keys that are hard to press. It's not good for texting. With or without T9, you can't write a FAST coherent SMS that's longer than ~120-140 characters. Beyond this number you'll have to slow down your input :P or else the its buffer won't remember all the keys you typed in. It can't send an SMS to multiple contacts either. The callendar holds just 20 appointments :( and the separate "Memo" feature doesn't use alarms. The last not-so-good-thing is it has just 10 available ringtones and 3 wallpapers to choose from, with no possibility to add more A MINUS: The phone doesn't display anything in standby, to see what time it is or if you missed a call while in silent mode, you must press a random key. Memory info: SMS: 100 Contacts: 300 (with 3 numbers each) Calendar: 20 appointments with 20 characters each Memo: 10 with 80 characters each Overall, a decent basic phone for those who aren't sms lovers, with nice design, good battery backup, but with no standby display.

  • I bought this one for 10 but I have lost the manual Could anyone help. Thanks

  • Poor phone; but what do I expect for 7.99 while Im on job seekers

  • No it doesn't, you have a diffrent model.

  • great little phone very easy use

  • i bought this phone today and at first i wasnt keen on it but now i am

  • This specifions isn't correct, mine have touch screen and WiFi

  • try : menu, parameters, number 8 energy saving, maybe be it's locked on "all day long" , change to"night only"

  • great,battery 7 days

  • It is a good phone. EXCEPT: The screen becomes unreadable after seconds of using it...so dark...any suggestions?

  • Well, I needed a phone, so I bought the cheapest one. What I ve found is a mobile phone with: - long battery life - short charging time - simple menu What else do I need? Well I don't need a camera-mp3 player-java ready-net surfer-delicate-silicon-monster. Maybe bluetooth is the only thing I miss (so I can backup the contacts, but that has more to do with my hability to break and lose these tiny things). This phone really do its job.

  • i want to registered my bank account in my phone, but i can't do it? please give me solution about it? thanks

  • design emang bagus, dan baterainya tahan lama, cuma sinyal masih kurang kuat, dan ketika ngirim sms masih butuh beberapa waktu nyampainya....

  • well am using some of this phone and trust me the battery can last for good five day it,s all about how you use it. this phone is simple.

  • I bought an LG KP100 this week. It is basic yet serves its function extremely well. i recommend this mobile phone to anyone who is not looking for too many gimicks such as camera and mp3 player. Brilliant mobile with a nice colour screen and a very good battery life.

  • cheapest phone ever

  • it is quite simple but i don't see any browser function on the menu. can i really surf the net with it?

  • Hi! Id like to buy this basic phone beause all I need is to make calls, but first Id like to know if it has a good battery life! Can anyone tell me how many days it lasts? Thanks

  • 10 lol

  • srry bout ur question i cannot answer that but could u pl tell me the price that u brught it at???

  • could anybody tell me how to use WAP/GPRS? there's no browser anywhere in the menu.

  • Great for phone calls, horrible for texts. Ya can't really ask much more for 10 and it saved my life when my phone broke. Downside = When you type a word in predictive it takes so long to catch up that i might as well just phone the person.

  • Simple, well designed, n no cheap look. Great, another successor of kg276

  • I bought this phone in Spain - does anyone know where I can get a manual in English

  • it's a simple, slim, and good mobile phone, and it doesn't cost much , i'm using it now, comfortable

  • I bought this phone 28/11/2008 in athens. The ringtones don't work at all. The display becames black after a few seconds(it is an optional setting) even if you are in a middle of something:text, sudoku game etc. Apart from theese it is very light, good looking, thin and small yet easy to push the buttons(witch require a little more pressure than normal) for my big hands.

  • i wanna ask ,Inbox capacity??

  • Settings - Profiles - Outdoor - Personalise.

  • Well said, if you want to take pics, buy a bloody camera! I've bought 2 of these 'cos it does what it sez on the box......a phone

  • no way bro. i hate this phone so i bought myself a geogio armani phone sick blad peace im out

  • Purchased this phone for under 10, i wanted a cheap phone for work as i kept breaking the good ones. Its very easy to use and does what a phone should. It is basic but what do you want for a tenner! It doesnt look too bad and isnt cheap looking.

  • the top left button press twice then the top right once hope this helps

  • Does anyone know if its possible to increase the font size on the kp 100?

  • to unlock phone press left side soft key once(the key like a horizontal straight line above the send key),screen should light up and say "unlock"in bottom left corner.Press the same key again and "yes"will appear on the right bottom corner of screen, now press right side soft key once and keypad is unlocked.Hope this helps/makes sense.

  • My parents have bought a KP100 today and cant work out how to unlock the keypad. Im too far away to go and help so can anyone post on here what keys to press please?

  • the kp100 doesn't have an mp3 player, just a basic tpye and txt phone, sounds quite loud though

  • The previous poster is right: this phone has NO mp3 player. Otherwise a nice little phone. Producer's website:

  • I have 1 and no it don't have an mp3 player. "sorry"

  • It says it has 4 gb in the specifications...next to the memory bit.

  • does any one know how to change your ring tone on it?????? i got to know as soon as possible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i am thinking of buying this phone but one thing that only don't get is does this phone have an mp3 player or not. cause went on argos the website and checked it out but doesn't nothing about mp3 player but when i checked here it says it has an mp3 player. i even checked it on the website. can anyone tell me does this have an mp3 player or not plzzzzz?

  • the specs are grong, because this handset have micro SD slot for up 4GB, check it in the lg site

  • check out:

  • There is a black colour version

  • Older people respond better to clamshell phones, which don't confuse them with key locks-unlocks, screensavers and all that stuff. So I'm not sure who this handset intended for...

  • Cheap n nice design. Light n small. Very practical. Who needs a camera anyway?

  • Its like motorola L6

  • This is a basic and user friendly phone for old folk. Just bought it for my mother. Good Phone!!!

  • isn it step back? polyfonic (16 voices) melodies, its tragedy!

  • The LG KP100 is a simple and easy phone for those who are not very demanding. Most of all, the KP100 is very cheap!
