LG Nexus 5X - User Reviews

  • Seems like a headache. Better buy a used phonr model that has good reviews.

  • It is my forth year now with the Nexus 5x. No problems at all! It's camera continues to amaze me and my followers!

  • Does this have magnetometer?

  • I was so close buying this device and I feel like if I had bought this device, I would have regretted. OnePlus saved me.

  • dont buy it..

  • Should i be cautious buying a used 5x?

  • Got one for free today, amazingly it doesn't bootloop. Honestly a capable backup phone if it lasts

  • Refurbish phone for nexus 5x. Make mod copper heater, thermal paste, paste pad. Always check temperature not more then 40°c. Hope Last long. I love camera with laser auto focus. other not much. For now i just use only 2 week. For now.

  • Bootloops after 2 years +, just in time for the warranty to expire

  • It seems the CPU is 64-bit but OS is only 32-bit, right?

  • It's been a decent phone for the 3+ years I had it. Until the dreaded bootloop. Just ended up getting a different replacement. 5x definitely had some nice features that I wish were in the phone I bought to replace it. I think it took a performance hit with Android 8.0 installed. Just with it couldve lasted longer.

  • Mine just started bootlooping today, it lasted a year and four months. I never played any games in it and i thought that it would at least last 2 years, well luckily i bought it for very little money. Now i'm getting an iPhone

  • Nice opinion. I also love the device. Good camera. But. Problem bootloop.

  • Its too greet to use

  • Just to post comment about bootloop, my Nexus 5X got it yesterday. Next month it would be full 3 years how I own it, it was great phone, but yesterday just freezed for few seconds then restarted itself and started bootlooping. I loved kamera and that simple Android OS, but now it's time to buy something else.

  • nexus 5x is one phone I ever enjoyed using,But the one am using the screen got blank and could nt fix it

  • My getting hot too, and lagging. But it works still Discharged quickly

  • Last time i order nexus 5x Refurbished on Shopee. When i got nexus on hand. I feel worm on back fingerprint. Amd then i shutdown form charging.left 15 minutes. And i turn on back. Suddenly notice bootloop. And. Shutdown byself. So i try. To open and try to heatgun. So. Nothing happen. When turn on. So my nexus was dead. I want to reballing. But. I dont have tool. I check on online. The nexus got for custom emmc to 4 ram. I research. It actually. Form LG V10 emmc exchange to mexus emmc. That why how nexus got 4 ram. Dont ever buy thia device. I got 2 nexus for cheap price H791/H798. Both also dead nexus.

  • yes you can install pubg, but you have to play it on the lowest setting

  • install pubg?

  • Bootloop ... Twice in 9 Month.... First time, my hubby fix it.... Last time, LG's warranty prounanced dead. They'll send me a new one... 😒

  • Have been using it for 4 years now, to problems at all, awesome phone, not even a boot loop issue or anything. Best phone i ever had, but previously i used galaxies for many years.

  • Happened to me and Google replaced it.

  • Don't buy: even as a second hand phone, the risk of the phone entering a boot-loop is too great and unless it's covered under warranty it could cost a lot to replace the motherboard (which is the only certain fix)

  • hi, i think in the page of developers google, are the ota's for flash in this device Nexus 5x search nexus 5x update on google

  • there is no fix dude

  • I've been using this phone since january, and i love it! The things i love the most are: 1st the android vanilla, very fluid, stable and fast. 2nd, The fast charging capabilities. Amazing to see my phone full charged in around an hour. And 3rd his amazing camera. Just very crisp and detailed for the price (i've paid like $100 u$s). Lately i have been a little worried for the known hardware issues of this model. I was wondering if i should sell it regardless of my excitement for this phone while is still covered with warranty. And if i should. Then what is the logical upgrade?. I was considering the Xiaomi Mi A1 but im not very convinced about the camera. Do you guys have any recommendation?

  • how did you fix it ??

  • Mine just started to bootloop.

  • I bought one back in December 2016 and in September 2017 while just browsing my email it crashed. Because it was still in warranty I took it to the place I bought it from looking for a fix but they just gave me a brand new one and said it was dead. The second time around I used the new phone from October 2017 till August 2018 and THE SAME THING HAPPENED! IT WILL JUST DIE AT SOME POINT, IN BOTH CASES LESS THAN A YEAR. while I loved the phone dearly, that's unacceptable and I definitely don't recommend it

  • I bought a Nexus 5X from a friend new in 2016. It seemed to work fine for 2 years and then suddenly, last week, I rebooted the phone and it has never turned on since then. What a disappointment, just glad I didn't pay a lot for it.

  • there was a class action lawsuit against google because of this phone's bootloop issues. I thought mine was not defective, but it also developed the same hardware-based bootloop later on, so i'm now looking for a new phone. Hope that info helps you.

  • Hi,wanna ask, is your phone nexus 5x does not have any issue for now? Like the bootlooping and battery issue?

  • Same here, mate!!!

  • Very neat phone. Screen died after dropping it in water so I replaced it myself as it was out of the warranty, works fine and only replacing it this month as the proximity sensor died making calls difficult.

  • It was the best phone I had ever. Easy to handle.. But after 2 years; it suddenly dead. When I show it in the service center they said many phones have the same issue. We have nothing to do with it. Here I had seen that many people experienced the same issue. very much disappointed..

  • It's a horrible phone . When I got this phone in November 15 I thought it is wonderful phone but after two and half years my phone become quiet in March 18. I send it to service center Delhi. They changed its mother board of RS 13500 approx. After 2 and half month this phone is not displaying any thing again I sent it again to l. G service centre Delhi. They changed its motherboard and display again in RS 5115.00. So when I bought its cost RS 32800. Now I have spent to repair this phone approx rs 20000 . So don't buy this phone. So I have waisted my 50000 RS for this phone. Because of our Indian man respected sunder pichai I bought this phone. But I m very much in pain after getting this phone.

  • Please don't buy this phone ... after 20 days of the warranty period expiry, the phone suddenly died with no response ..looks like this has happened to many other users online. i smell a scam ... my second LG phone heavy dissappointment

  • Hi, the difference is that the H791 is the version made for Korea, in the case of H791 come headphones and I feel that the volume and ignition buttons are plastic month than those of the H790

  • the difference is that the H791 is the version made for Korea, in the case of H791 come headphones and I feel that the volume and ignition buttons are plastic month than those of the H790

  • hi what's the different of the H790 and H791 for Nexus 5X, which is the America Version , Can H790 use in the USA? Any guys can give me an answer? Thanks and unlimited!

  • Where was at care shop?

  • Same here bro

  • Such a shame about this phone. Bought it in July 2016 as the natural successor to the excellent Nexus 5. Used it constantly through to October 2017 when it suddenly started bootlooping, while I was abroad on holiday naturally. Nothing worked, tried recovery mode/reflashing and replacing the kernel according to a couple of articles on the subject. No joy. I wasn't even completely sure I'd encrypted since the most recent factory reset, so did want to give it away for spares. Ended up smashing it up with a hammer and dumping it. While I was using it, I really enjoyed it. The screen was better than the Nexus 5 though the battery life still left a bit to be desired. Fingerprint sensor was excellent, just a little hesitant with damp hands. I replaced it with some Huawei junk that I loathe as that was all I could afford at short notice. Wish the Pixel range had followed the cost-effective and high quality Nexus 5 path.

  • I think the only solution for the overheating and to prevent the bootloop is to mod the phone, no matter how many times you send to fix the board, it will fail because the SoC generate too much heat. You will need: Good quality thermal paste like Artic MX-4 and thin copper plate. There are some tutorials on YT about the modding process on the N5X. If your N5X got the bootloop, the mod won't do much, i recommend to reflow the board to revive the phone and then apply the mod.

  • That sort of handling just proves that they don't know what they are talking about. Everyone in the mobile business should know by now that the boot loop issue is a real problem with the Nexus 5X. It's a construction fault. Connecting it with a scratch on the glass is just ridicilous. I certainly hope that most Nexus 5X owners are met more professionally than this!

  • It's easy to open the device since once you have the plastic back cover off it's all screwed into place. That doesn't mean the boot loop issue is easy to fix though since that is a failure of soldering on the main logic board. You can easily replace that logic board but it will cost you as much (or even more) as a new second hand Nexus 5X phone. Replacing a screen or battery are better examples since these are also easy to reach and replace and are found for cheap online. The screens often come with the complete metal frame already in place making the replacement very easy.

  • I live in Canada and LG are now repairing the boot loop issue but there's a catch... They repair only the phone that are in perfect condition. I hope everyone keep a note on how LG handled this issue before buying another LG product. They should have recalled all phone to fix the issue since it's there for everyone! That's what a serious company would have done to keep their reputation. Here's my story: LG customer support asked me to send the phone to a repair shop. I did and then, they charged me 35$ and did not repair the phone because it had a scratch in the glass! LG confirmed that it's their policy. I tried to explain that the scratch in the glass and the boot loop issue are not related but they just repeated the same non sense over and over.

  • Mine after 1 year and 10 days... But lg uk repaired it for free

  • How long was the turnaround? Mine started boot-looping after 2.5 years. I had to explain the 30 month warranty to them but they then complied. Would have thought they would offer a discount for a new LG. Thx

  • Yes, it is supposed to be one of the easier phones to take apart and put together again, but watching YouTube videos on this it doesn't look all that simple. When I had the boot loop problem I was considering it but it all seemed to be a rather arduous task. I chose to let LG do the repair when I found it was possible for free within three years from the purchase (in Sweden). My guess is that you can probably ruin the phone even more if you don't have any experience doing these kind of repairs and you still have to buy the parts. I may have a go at this though for fun in the future if the phone breaks down again.

  • This device is too easy to repair, you can buy the parts by yourself an do it! Not like iPhone an shit

  • Mine already repaired for free by lg and i received it today! He got back to life again and i installed oreo and it is working greatly .. let's protect it from heat... Remove cover and everything let the phone get cool fast

  • my carrier is denying my warranty because i had a small line (a crack, not shattered) on the screen and that was the cause of the death of my motherboard. i've never had any problems with the touch screen because of the crack and i can't see connection between the two. they wrote me that “the phone cannot be fixed' so i'll try somewhere else

  • bought mine on december 2015 Got bootloop issue precisely after around an year; lg replaced the motherboard at no extra cost. i'm still using the phone without any problems..

  • Me after 1 year and 10 days...

  • Also had boot loop after 2 years and 2 months of service. Not a very long life!

  • I bought my phone in november 2015 and the battery still gets me through the day. I am perhaps not an extremely heavy user playing video games all day long but I have certainly used the phone a lot, so I suppose it can vary with different phones how well the battery lasts. I got the boot loop after 2 years and 3 months, got it repaired without costs, and now it is working fine again, but I avoid letting the phone get to hot.

  • After 2 years and 2 months with the phone I ve seen the good and the bad of this phone. Advantages: - Maybe the best camera for this price range - Great android experience for light users (Running many apps can fill up the 2 GB RAM easily) - Pretty fast for its time. The processor is good enough even in 2018 (still for light users only due to low RAM) Disadvantages: - Bad battery life (I could never get more than 4 hours and 30 minutes SOT) usually max 2 hours 30 minutes if I tried to keep it alive after 24 hours. - Bootloop or Logic Board failure is a very common issue for this device, mine died one week before. - Overheating especially at summer is leading to cpu throttling and eventually to some lag on UI.

  • I bought the Google Nexus 5x in May of 2016 and back then I was so excited about it because of its amazing camera, fingerprint sensor and the stock android experience. Two years later and my opinion is now totally different. First of all let's start with the build quality. The fact that this phone is made out of plastic makes it feel cheap and also the color makes it very slippery( The third day I had it it slipped out of my hands and the phone made it's first scuff). Second thing I want to mention is the battery because it's very very bad now that the phone runs on Android 8.1.0. and I can't make a day without charging it 3 or 4 times (bare in mind I make a heavy use ). Also another thing that is seriously affected by the android version is its performance. The phone has become so slow and baggy and it gets extremely annoying especially in every day use. For example when you get out of an app the home screen is empty for a couple of seconds and it also might rotate in landscape even if you hold it horizontally. The multitasking has become a serious problem too and the fact that even Google apps become hard to use annoys me the most. Besides all those drawbacks though the Nexus 5x has a really big advantage and that is the camera. You can take incredible pictures with it and although it was made in 2015 it can still hold up really well with other big flagships today like the iPhone X. In the end though I am not really happy with it and I would not recommend it to anyone even if his looking for a budget smartphone.

  • Seems that you got a bad copy. The camera has always been very good for me (accept for the upside down videos when using a third party program) and is one of the reasons I like the phone so much. My phone doesn't get THAT hot so I can't hold it. Hope you get it repaired without trouble.

  • my LG Nexus 5X died about year and a half since i've bought it. i still have love-hate relationship with this particular type because i loved it for many reasons but it got bad pretty fast. Black dot appeared on camera and never went away, sometimes when used it was too hot to be held comfortably, in winter i couldn't use it outside because the cold made it turn off...often i had problems with the screen freezing randomly and i still loved the phone because it wasn't THAT bad. But then one day it just died...no warning, no possibility of entering the boot mode, wasn't charging, not one sign of life. The evaluation process from my carrier is still in progress and i'll wait and see if they repair it under warranty which expires on 27.10.2018

  • Yes that correct

  • The problem with this phone is overheating. Using the phone for just 5 minutes is enough to make it overheat when I used it at summer. So after 2 year and 2 months it died. And I always tried to avoid games and heavy apps in order to avoid this problem but I guess it happens to everyone eventually.

  • The bottleneck may well be that the phone only has 2 GB ram.

  • I've been using this phone for 2 years. For 1.5 months if I play vedios for 1/ more hr then the phone lags. I've tried different players and factory reset. But no improvement. What to do?

  • Yes, it is the heat that destroys the motherboard which causes the bootloop and makes the phone useless. I managed to get mine repaired without costs after I had been using it for over two years. I really like this phone and want to be able to use it for as long as possible so now I try not to let the phone get too hot. The camera is great, the fingerprint function is good and I appreciate the clean Android and always getting the latest updates (at least so far).

  • Do you play games and let the phone get hot? " if you protect the phone from heat then he will not fry the motherboard and he will live long... But my problem that I play clash of clans and he was getting very very hot on this lite game..

  • I've had this phone for 3 years, never a problem except once when I cracked the screen (which I got fixed). phone still going strong. I guess I was one of the lucky ones.

  • Yes that is! This phone is only for calling and maybe camera... Anything make this phone hot... You should not use it... Even on whatsapp.. He came very hot

  • Yes, the processor is fast, but it is also the cause of destroying the phone's motherboard. I have one - and I wished If the comment was there earlier - which could help me not going for it. Don't go for it if you are into continuous use for about a hours types... this phone's processor will fry it out.

  • Hahaha the processor cause the bootloop! This processor get hot very bad... It is fast... But it get hot fast too! And this high temperature with time burn the motherboard and cause the bootloop

  • good processor

  • YES:::: this phone called "the terminator" i have this phone & work fine since 2015 thanks "LG Electronic"

  • This is a great phone when it is working. The best thing is the camera, great sharpness, very good and natural colours under almost all lighting conditions. Difficult to find a phone with only 12 MP that takes such good pictures. After just over two years I got the booloop problem. After some resistence from the shopkeeper I managed to get it fixed by LG without costs. In Sweden there is a law that makes this possible within 3 years when it is a factory fault. I first contacted Google who tried to help me but it is a very well known hardware problem. The service was very quick when it all got going. It's nice to be able to use it again. What I don't like is that it doesn't have a memory card slot and it should have more than 2 GB ram memory. Apart from the camera I like the clean Android and the clean and simple design. It's a bad thing with this bootloop problem, but I hope to be able to use this phone another couple of years.

  • Been using for over a year now. Overall good performance. Excellent camera, both front and rear. Macro range for rear camera could have been better. Battery is just terrible. Slight heating issue. Display is ordinary. Fingerprint is still super fast even after a year. If you work by a desk where you can constantly charge the phone, then this isn't a bad option. +1 point for design. When some brand makes a 16gb phone they must add sd card slot!!!

  • I have this phone for about 19 months ... 260USD. Only problem which i experienced was last year when oreo released..screen shows erorr..i fix it with hard reset x2, after working fine..in my hands this phone shows excellent.

  • I have my Nexus 5X for about 1.5 years now (since November 2016), with no repairs or anything. Would I recommend this phone? Not really... the heating is extremely bad in my experience, phone heats up even when I'm just chatting with someone through Facebook Messenger on WiFi... during heavier games the phone is seriously very hot, after a while of playing such games I have to put the phone down because it's uncomfortable to hold it. Performance in games is not great these days, Android Oreo update decreased my performance a bit too. It can easily do simple tasks of course, Android itself is very smooth but heavier games not so much. Getting this phone for the newest updates isn't a good idea anymore since it just received its last big update, this phone won't get the Android P. For this price, you can probably get better phones these days and you won't risk getting bootloops (which I didn't experience but it's still something to consider). Camera, battery life, display, build quality are all fine, phone gets me through a day pretty easily (though the glass on camera fell off from my phone for some reason, had to glue it back...maybe for the heat?). Speaker isn't great. Rooting the phone and installing EX Kernel Manager helped me to get more battery life and also made the heating slightly more bearable. Custom ROMs are also good but many died when this phone got the Android 8.1 update (for example my favorite PureNexus, OmniROM, though Omni got a new dev). After those 1.5 years of using and on the latest Android Oreo update with April security update, my scores in benchmarks are: Antutu:64029 Geekbench: 977 single core, 2528 multi core (keep in mind that my phone is rooted with EX Kernel)

  • Every nexus 5x will die in a day... Don't worry about that guys... Mine got repaired by lg.. But he will probably die again after a year...

  • Mines done that a couple of times. Just leave it on charge for a while, it should boot.

  • Got this phone on Amazon for £235 unlocked and brand new, and it was the best phone i had used in a long time. Roll on 14 months later, no end of trouble with it and i made the mistake of letting the battery run to zero, and it never turned on again. LG was not interested despite their flagship devices having the bootloop issue, which also included the Nexus 5X.

  • how are you, i wanted to ask if the lcd of nexus is separate from its touch screen or if they are build in, thank you in advance

  • My nexus 5x got repaired for free... He wasn't under warranty... But in uk lg repaired it for free... But anyway... I will not use it anymore... I will try to sell it... I bought a huawei mate 10 lite... Much better... Specially the 4 gb of ram... Only the camera on my nexus look more natural in low light condition.. And the battery of the nexus 5x is very bad... It last half a day... On mate 10 lite it last 1 day and half with heavy use... It is all my friends... It is the time to look to a new phone... The pixel is very very expensive for me... Go to huawei...

  • This phone really doesn't deserve to be a part of Google Nexus family. After 6 months I went to LG customer care to replace the Sim trey. The repair executive repaired the sim trey but I don't know while repairing he came to me as showed me that Proximity Sensor is not working and I was asked if I want to get it replace I have to pay around INR 12000. Though my phone is still in warranty. The only reason I have lost the bill. And when I asked to sale it I got an offer from the same executive INR 5200 after Proximity sensor repair. WoW what a deal ....

  • within 13 months the mother board failed and LG is asking for Rs.9300 for repair. LG Nexus 5 X is a junk product

  • Same issue for me.. perfectly after 2 year motherboard dead. LG service person told to change the board with the cost of Rs.13000... Disappointed.

  • 20 Months of using this device, Very good but now I got battery draining issues

  • Good phone while works, unfortunately they last about a year or so. I had two in last two years, one was replaced under the warranty and second one died in a year. No replacement for the last.

  • I got my phone about 6 month and it's working perfectly. So far best phone I ever had.

  • It's a fast phone for 2016-18 (as of typing this). Moderate battery life (using it all day while working will definitely leave it dead by the time you're commuting home). Physically strong. However, there was a number of these phones with a major issue: getting stuck in boot loops after a few months to a year of use. Since the warranty by the manufacturer lasts only 1 year and nothing was done to rectify this short lifespan, it's reason to be critical. That said, the phone has been sturdy for me. I've had multiple drops, scratches and dents (nothing on the glass) for both the first phone and the replacement (I got the boot loop days before the warranty was up).

  • Complain at LG USA via Twitter, mine was fixed twice out of warranty totally free, just need a friend or family to send the phone to USA :/ ... They offer FedEx label to free shipping inside USA, I complain about a LG G4 buyed at 2015 and they offer to me repair it too if I send the phone. If you claim they strongly they respond.

  • Hi, I had this issue, but it was solved by sending to the magazine (warranty) and the guys fixed the issue. It's been 6 months since then and it's working fine

  • Bought at release, still going strong. No issues.

  • Guys, Please DO NOT Buy this phone. This phone has a BOOTLOCKER issue that can never be rectified. The phone simply stops working all of a sudden. And when I take it LG Authorized centres they blatantly tell me that LG is aware of this issue and they themselves do not know the solution to fix this issue. They say if my phone is in warrenty they will replace it but mine is not. And therefore, nothing can be done. I pre-ordered this phone thinking Nexus which was a flagship Google Product but am super disappointed by this experience. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. !!

  • I thought Google was more comprehensive with the client but no, if something it's good in Nexus 5x they say because it's Google, the problems it's because LG made de phone, what a shame. Google knows there's a problem with the manufacturing of Nexus 5x, because al phones sooner or later get the the boot loop problem, what they do ? substitute the equipment? no, wait that most warranty finished and wash their hands, Google/LG phones? never more.

  • 2 years 2 months, both mint condition, started bootlooping 10 days apart.

  • Huawei or Xiaomi.

  • Same thing happened with my Nexus5x. One day it bootlooped after 2 years of straight work. Damn LG.. No one should buy their crappy phones. Bought this one because of Google...

  • Have owned it for more than 2 years and no problems.

  • Worked really Good for two years. Then Boot-looping. LG knows that this is an issue with the majority of its handsets yet still they choose to do nothing and hope the problem goes away unnoticed. Well we have noticed and have taken note. I used to love LG now I will never buy from them again.... They could have done the honorable thing, a total recall replace even at a small cost. Boycott of all their products now...

  • Mine also died after about 10 months. Motherboard fried. Sent off under warranty and 'fixed' (new motherboard). Now has headphone jack issue which means listening to anything through earphones is impossible as it cuts out.

  • Same here but after 2 years.

  • I have nexus 5x it works good but em facing a big problem now.... My bettry is consuming very fast.... I dont know whats happing can any one help me?????

  • happened to me also

  • Died after 1 year of usage. Cannot be fixed motherboard issue. LG never again...

  • Try Moto x4

  • Had the phone since shortly after launch (November 2015). There still has yet to be a better low light camera in a smartphone as of January 2018. What is going on?

  • I bought my Nexus 5x in September 2016 now is been more than a year I had the problem with bootloader thing in begining went to the carrier they keept it for one week and solve the problem now it's fine works fine charges fast the updates are quick the only problem is it's a bit slow becouse of the ram and the applications getting heavy I m thinking to change to blackberry KEYONE black edition. The only thing that is keeping me change for a long time is the updates that come directly from Google even thou this phone is a midrange and quite old now.

  • My phone is dead n kept in the coffin . No help from either Google n LG it's past a month now .

  • Will not use LG ever again

  • Worst phone i've ever used severe lag on games and multi task

  • After updating Oreo (8.1.0 security update) this morning, phone getting very worm and very slow. A fix must be released.

  • after updating Oreo 2 days ago my phone suddenly died... bootloop still waiting what will service answer :/

  • Indeed…

  • yes!

  • What was the android version? 8.1??

  • I have had this phone for two years now. Its a great phone and i really love it. Until tonight i got the all famous Bootloop issue. So this phone is pretty useless now and my trying to look for alternative phone for the same price and specs. Anyone???

  • i upgraded from a nexus 5 to a 5x and i must say, its a worthy successor and a carrier of a legacy. used it for maybe 6 months and i was satisfied just as i was with the 5. but however due to the fear of bootloop striking me, i sold it. it would be my recommendation if it wasnt for that only issue, still however, its 2018, either you save one up in a box for a display, or you look for something newer.

  • Got a Nexus 5X last November. It worked great until yesterday it was dying so I plugged it in to charge. Then once I plugged it in, it shut down and did not restart. I now have learnt that my phone has just died from the sudden Nexus 5X Boot Loop death!! And my warranty literally just expired a month ago! Why would a company like to waste people's money but make sure their butt is covered for just a year then have it die? If anyone is wanting to have a long lasting phone, do NOT buy a Nexus 5x and hope that it will live. Other people I have heard from have the same issue, as soon as the warranty is up, it dies, so the company doesn't have to replace the phones 'under warranty' and lose money. So beware Nexus 5x users, your phone may suddenly die for no particular reason...make sure you back up all your files/photos constantly and watch for your warranty expiry...as soon as it ends your phone dies!! :(

  • Update: Just contacted LG in Lithuania, I asked what was changed after new motherboard replacement, if I could be calm, that the problem won't happen again, since all line of LG Nexus 5X was released with defect, explained him that thermal insulating stick is really bad solution, because it doesn't help from overheating and some people show on youtube how they peel off that thermal stick and change it to copper metal or that after device motherboard is burnt, people turn off A57 cores and use it further. Since I had doubts if the phone will work long time, not just one year (I read lots of feedbacks on gsmarena, watched videos on youtube and found out that average working time till bootloop problem happens - is little bit more than one year), so the guy from customer support just told me, that the company cannot guarantee longer than 24 months and that we should hope, that the phone will last longer, because of new updates, not sure if he just mentioned anything about new and technically fixed of bugs hardware... I also asked refund of money, since all line of this smartphone model has defect, but the guy from Customer Support said that I should forget this idea, haha, because the phone was fixed and working right now. So I'm not sure what should I do about this phone - now it's working okay and I still have left 6 months of warranty: 1) Should I sell it now? Or before the warranty will end? 2) Should I open the phone and to change thermal stick to copper heatsink now (I will lose guarantee)? Or should I wait till the expiration date of warranty and then change it (but in those 6 months motherboard will be gradually becoming damaged)? I would appreciate your opinions on what should I do with this phone, guys.

  • the performance is great but the battery is not good

  • don't waste your money. the phones die and won't recharge or boot up. lg will not back it up. and offer only to look at the phone and it takes up to 2 weeks in which time they don't provide a replacement phone and won't guarantee that they will fix it. also they won't pay for shipping.

  • Hey guys, my LG Nexus 5X motherboard burnt because of bootloop problem few months ago, but I still had warranty, so I got repaired it for free. But I have another question - even the motherboard was changed, do you think bootloop problem is solved by updates? Or do you think it's worth to sell this phone, before the warranty expires? Or should I install something from xda forum to improve this phone's life duration?

  • I am a serious fan of Nexus. I started using with Nexus 2 when it started with LG. step by step i have used all the hand sets which nexus brought to the market. Now presently am using a Nexus 5 and a Nexus 5x. Two days back my Nexus 5X shut down due to boot loop. and here local engineers already declared the cell phone as a dead one. I am very sad due to this reason.

  • I recommend to disable the big cores of the phone's Cpu, the big cores are faulty (Gets very hot) and that caused the bootloop, won't matter if you change the motherboard, it will happen. There are many tutorials in XDA and YouTube about turning off the A57 cores.

  • LG Nexus 5x is the worst phone I have ever seen. Google integration with LG seems to be a disaster. Motherboard got damaged within a Year and this problem was faced by almost all Nexus 5x handset since the OS got upgraded to Nougat. My recommendation would be never ever go for LG Nexus series

  • Hi. when I want to update to Android 8.1 it gives "Couldn't Download" error. I'v already done these: - used VPN - cleared cache partition - restarted several times

  • Hello everyone, I have Nexus 5x for about one year. I had the same prob with bootloop and luckily my phone was on the warranty, so they replaced the motherboard for free. I just opened my phone and I want to ask if its necessary to update Adroid Oreo 8.0. I am a bit scared because I read that it will cause problems to the phone, the camera etc. What do you recommend to me? Thanks!

  • Still had a warranty, phone was 10 month old. I got a full refund.

  • I have a LG Nexus 5x and recently my phone faced the same issue that many users all over the world have faced, that is the now infamous "Bootloop". It simply switched off and all my attempts to boot it, have failed. The response from LG is very disappointing. LG service centre says that to fix this issue motherboard needs to be replaced and I have to pay for it. I am not convinced to pay for an issue that LG has acknowledged is a software + hardware issue with their product. LG should repair it free of cost. After all, we are talking about a global and reputed company that is LG and they should be a bit more empathetic to their customers.

  • That's why i've gone with the oneplus 5T. enough of LG crap

  • Boot loop... Used for 15 months. Same thing happend with Nexus 5 (LGs as well)... Enough is enough...

  • Google will send phone? New one?

  • Try this All the best

  • I bought the LG Nexus 5X on May 2016. I loved the phone and its performance. Was really happy on having it, only till August 2017. The phone started flashing Google n was dead. It worked while it was charged but that lasted just hours n now its a brick to eternity. Tried the LG customer care but i over-ran the warranty period it seems. Such a shame that i invested in LG. And now thats the end to the big LG. Thankyou so much for the loss of my money.

  • Hey Dave, who were you in contact with at Google? I have the same issue

  • My phone went in to the boot loop too, but I called Google and they sent me a return box for the phone and sent me a new phone immediately.

  • Got mine for almost two years now, december to be exact, and still got excellent performance, i use a caseology casing and the my nexus 5x is still brand new to look at, I guess that do not abuse your phone, some tweaked them and some uses software flashers which causes maybe bootloop after WARRANTY EXPIRES. Absurd.

  • Got the nexus 5x as my birthday present one and a half years back, today out of nowhere the phone went into bootloop, had I known the issue I would have passed it on now its just a brick

  • Replace sim port. Its sim port issue or soldering of simport

  • Change the battery. Bootloop will be finished. Its battery issue.

  • Change the battery. Bootloop will be finished. Its battery issue.

  • Change the battery. Bootloop will be finished. Its battery issue..

  • Change the battery. Bootloop will be finished. Its battery issue.

  • Odd. Mine bricked this week as well. Google told me to call LG. LG told me to call Google. So I sent it back to LG.

  • Bought my Nexus 5x in February 2016 from Google Store and after 15 months it bricked and is now stuck in boot loop. I except it is out of warranty and I don't intend on purchasing another LG phone for the next few years.

  • Yup, my 15 months old 5X caught the boot loop of death on Saturday. Such a shame as I really liked the phone.

  • Yep, mine bricked today as well.

  • Just after 14 months of usage phone has died. What the hell are you creating LG. Bad h/w Bad customer cares. I was in love with this phone then comes the nightmare bootloops

  • Battery started to drastically reduce its endurance on September. Phone dead today. Suspiciously too close to other posters date. 2 years after manufacturing

  • suddenly off, no boot, seems like dead :(

  • Bootloop ,it's dead throw it in dustbin

  • Running on android oreo 8.0.0 so far only issue troubling me is the network, suddenly it shows no sim card and i have to do 2-3 restarts to make it ok.Any way to sort it out?

  • I also faced the bootloop issue on my Nexus 5x within 19 months of usage. The phone got dead and the technician says it is a hardware issue which will require motherboard change costing half of the amount I payed for my phone. So I have to just throw it away now. Bad experience with my first and last purchase of an LG phone.

  • I bought Nexus 5x phones last year version 7.1.1. Awesome phone with great performance. Last day I’m using Facebook APPs suddenly phone are freeze with doesn’t work and may be dead. When are phone restart display Appear in GOOGLE Logo then phone is OFF. Which is problem? How can resolve the problem.

  • It's ok, I upgraded first day when I got upgrade message. It lagged in start a little, but after last updates, it works really ok. Good thing if you like selfies is that you now have "flash" on selfie camera too, also turning on/off mobile data and some other options is now even more simple, settings many is completely redesigned (liked old design more), beside that, didn't notice some other differences. Btw, I see many boot loop isuess here, I bought mine in june 2016, and it still working great, but it's already one year and 4 months. I'm almost waiting for it to die, based on reviews here, because there is too many ppl complaining on it. Will be sad if that happens, because it's great phone. If it happens, I will report it here too...

  • Both my sister and I bought Nexus 5x phones last year. Awesome phone with great performance and got one of the best cameras even though it's 12mp. Unfortunately, both phones are dead just after 14 months of purchasing. In my opinion it's just a waste of money since you don't buy a phone worth $390 to throw it away in a year. So, if you want pure android, either invest in a Nokia phone which is more affordable or invest in a Pixel which is said to be better than Nexus. JUST DON'T BUY LG NEXUS 5X IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD ANOTHER PHONE IN 12 MONTHS.

  • If you want to buy an expensive brick, go for it. The bootloop thing happened to half o the several Nexus 5x phones our company bought and it's not fixable. First time in 20 years I've had to deal with such a sneaky phone company like LG and it will be the last.

  • This is the best phone ive ever had...camera amazing....always kept in a hard case with screen protector . had it since launch day..2 years and still running good...cant find a reason to upgrade yet

  • All I can see in the feedabck is that the phone died after a year. I'm going to swap it for a Pixel 2 so I don't suffer the same fate and have a paper weight in my room.

  • After 1 year i faced boot loop issue......... my nexus 5x didn't on very disappointed..

  • Never buying an LG phone again. my phone bootlooped after 12 months because of a hardware issue. It used to be a great phone, but for its price it should last for atleast 2 years. For anyone searching for a phone you should avoid buying an LG.

  • In my recovery mode i dont have no command, anyone know how to resolve this problem?

  • Great phone until it went into bootloop (i think all opinions of this phone start like this...) Mine is under warranty and is being looked throu right now. its a shame tho. The worst part is, i work at a phone shop and our technician even said, nope. just send it to warranty or throw it out the window. So if i might get it back i'm gonna sell it as fast as possible or trade it for a ps4

  • Great phone until it died 16 months after I bought it. Out of warranty and LG refused to repair it. Apparently this is a very common fault due to poor design. Very disappointed in Google and LG. Never again

  • How is android oreo on nexus 5x should i upgrade !? I'm currently on 7.1.1

  • Had nexus 5x ,first display went off replaced it under warranty, then came the dooms day after the update boot loop, warranty lapsed on july , lg not bothered to repair the mobile. guess i just paid a hefty sum of money to a valuable paper weight. now again google has teamed up with lg for pixel 2 xl ... may god be with the pixel 2 xl customers.

  • Get rid of your replacement asap because it will die soon

  • The 5x is huge backward leap in quality. I've had two, the first one became a brick just after the warranty expires. Bootlogging was the apparent flaw. Project Fi was good enough To replace the phone. My wife's 5x had the same fate and resolution. Well my replacement just died of the same symptoms except this time there is NO resolution. With a success rate of one for four I have to give this a piece of trash rating. So dissapointing

  • Very much disappointed and never suggest anyone to buy LG product. Worst experience. Never buy this product you will repent. Or i should say stay happy till warranty later on maintain at your own risk. My LG nexus 5x start rebooting n gone completely blank when contacted customer care they diverted to LG people who never bothered to understand thing. I wasted money buying such n expensive mobile which didnt last even 2 years n now having motherboard issue. LG people getting away saying its out of warranty. So what do i put money to ise any mobile till warranty only. I am not complaining for free of cost replacement of any broken part which cud b my fault but motherboard????? Lost trust LG and Nexus too thank god it happened at right time n i didn't purchased Pixel.

  • Awesome phone...until it stops working! Got mine from ProjectFi, after 11 months gyro went bad. ProjectFi "fixed it" by sending me a refurbished unit. Which stopped working 6 months later (bootloop). Since it's out of warranty, I sent him to LG for repair (along with proof of purchase, warranty receipt etc)....they want $385 to fix it! Unbelievable

  • Replace battery

  • Replace batrery

  • I think Google should make a 2018 edition Nexus 5X, because, to me, the design of the phone looks amazing and I think they could make a lot of money from it if they make it good quality with high-ish end specs and a cheap price. I love the 5X and if I could I would buy one right now in 2017.

  • I was very happy to use a powered machine like this, but then one fine day recently after purchase and usage of almost an year, it stopped working....unhappy ending :-) after going through various reviews and common problems, it dawned upon me that most of the users met the same fate of machine stopped working all of a sudden, never to be alive again. thank you google....keep working on the version updates and never ask your vendors to back u :-)

  • Try pressing the power and up volume at the same time. Worked for me

  • my nexus 5x has a battery issues and heats up really fast..

  • It was a great phone until it unpredictably stopped working. No clue, no drops, no getting it wet -- just stopped working. I think the bootloop problem happened to it. It is disappointing since I only used it for about nine-months. I hope in the future the manufacturer test their products more. I'm now out $306 on a phone that was supposed to last me longer.

  • Like many, my Nexus 5x recently went into a bootload loop. It then just died and won't reboot at all. I resigned myself to waiting for the new Pixel phone to be released and try again but did contact Google (I bought it directly from them) on the half chance that it could be saved. After troubleshooting for about 5 minutes, the representative told me that they would send me a new one. I just need to send back the dead one so I don't get charged for the new one. I had this almost two years so it wasn't under any warranty. Nice job Google!

  • bootloop 1 year

  • This is a good phone, untill the bootloop......, atfer 1 year, well played lg for taking peoples money and not reparing the problem.....

  • Worst phone ever,,although it worked smoothly but just after 1.5 years, it started "Bootloop" problem, when i went service center they asked to replace entire motherboard costing around 13000 , so no mean to get it repaired now, bye ...bye nexus

  • Indian Nexus 5x does not support LTE2100 band

  • My phone died too after less than 1.5 yrs of usage with same bootloop issue. It's a shame that Google is not doing anything after virtually every 5x dying because of this issue... Have lost faith in Google forever...

  • From my play store do not download or update anything.its continues pending. And then update android 8 my volume key does not work. Can any one solve this problem plz.

  • I have updated my Nexus 5x to 8.0.0(official) and updated 3 days ago. After updating phone lags and performance drops but after couple of days it's running smoothly. Before update(7.1.2) antutu score was 51k and after updating to 8.0.0 the score is 58k & Geekbench is 1190(single core) Phone looks new and performance is also good( I'm a heavy user) Today I'm using wifi and after 2 hours and 52min SOT my battery was 50% from 100% I have never found this kind of SOT from my Nexus 5x. Background app running is restricted by Android itself and it is very very effective & efficient. Although i have no problem receiving push notifications from any apps. Instant and just on time despite background restrictions. I'm so happy that FB app in not consuming any battery & ram. Peace :)

  • It's known as "Bootloop", and it is not a firmware issue but due to a manufacturing fault in the cores in the processor. If you are under the warranty it is high time you claim it full or just give up on the phone for a better option.

  • My nexus 5x randomly restart. its come to google logo thn restart everytime. Any ideas plz.

  • Has these issues of bootloop, poor/so-so battery life + various wifi/bluetooth issues been resolved with the latest Nougat 7.1.1 & 7.1.2? And are the Nexus phones (including the 6P) safe in a bit of light rain or splashes of water?

  • brother my phone was always updated too after years and 10 days get the problem... i hope that nothing happens to your phone... but probably all the nexus 5x will suffer of this...

  • Ins't it the bootloop already fixed if you update it to the last version? i'm also have this phone but its fine for me until right now (mine always updated). it is, the phone happened won't boot at all once or twice long ago but it works again after i left it while just like that and let it reboot again later no big deal because maybe it's my fault. still work until now of more than 1 year usage. i believe many people use it rough if you get hardware problem (or maybe because weather too). the phone yes have easy heated issue but mine is fine even though it heated quite often because i used it rough several times. but why so many people have negative issue with this? o_o?

  • Worst phone ever. Not worth the money at all!! Within 6 months of usage the motherboard got screwed. As it was under warranty got it serviced for free. Then within next 1 year phone is dead, motherboard is gone again. 10k for the repair. Not repairing it. Selling it as scarp. Recently repaired the screen paying 7k. All for a waste. Very much frustrated.

  • After one year of using the phone it become dead, I think the motherboard burnt. My friend had the same problem with Nexus 5X, after more than one year of using it also the motherboard burnt.

  • Overall this is a good gadget for 1 year. I owned it for 1 yr 6 mths Pros: Camera, type C usb, phone audio quality, ease of use Cons: some unexpected resets, speaker sound quality, speaker not working in 1 yr and 5 mths (push the screen and back cover around the bottom and recovers). Mainboard dead, stuck in boot loop.

  • as long as you don't update this phone and don't play games you will enjoy it. i personally love the hardware, software on the nexus. the only thing i hate is that the battery life and the heating issues. my nexus lasted for 8 months and died thanks to the famous boot loop issue. i went to the place where i got it to get it fixed and heard a very shocking news. they said that there is no permanent fix and all the nexuses they sold were returned having the same boot loop issue. its simply a waste of money as a final verdict if u really love pure android go for it but, never update or stress the phone too much.

  • Lol I dont know where you live, but i have one and know 3 people who have one... It's the best phone I ever had, Google Fi is Great! Wonderful phone... idk what ur phone's problem is....

  • Worst service ever ,.... no spare parts available .. very rude service station staff in THANE , MUMBAI . please do not waste your hard earned money on this OR for that mater any LG - NEXUS device ... ONE OF THE SUFFERER

  • Yes

  • Is Vivo v5s better than vivo v5plus? ??

  • Loved this phone when I first got it in 2015 but its youth is long gone now. Uses 50% battery by the end of the day without even being on.

  • Will this phone getting an andriod O ?

  • Yes brother same situation

  • Nexus 5x or galaxy note 4 or htc m9. Which one should i buy if they are all in same price. My main concerns are camera and battery life.

  • Nexus 5x or galaxy note 4 or htc m9. Which one should i buy if i am getting them in same price?

  • Very good smartphone till now after 18 months and also the bootloop but within the warranty period of 2 year.

  • I bought it on May last year, it was good, until yesterday suddenly it started to bootloop. I'm really disappointed with lg!

  • A little more than a year after I bought it, it fails with the boot loop. Really ugly and common issue, I have been not able to fix it

  • I never had bootloop issues.... Until I did a year and 15 days after I bought it... Warranty didn't cover it ad it was 15 days after the year. Best phone I ever had. Until it died. Bought a Xiaomi note 4. It is awesome.

  • Dear friends, i had bought nexus 5x on December 2015, last week it suddenly got freeze and stuck in boot loop, showing google logo continuously.i have shown this to lg service center they are saying this is mother board problem, as my phone is out of warranty they are asking me to pay 12000 and need to wait for 20 days. This is totally insane, LG+Google makes Indian people fool by selling defective phones, i had spent rs 31,500 for this mobile and it became brick in only 1.5 years. i suggest all my friends not to buy lg mobiles in future.

  • LG Nexus 5X works great. I installed all updates without a problem. Only complain is about dim screen in bright sun light.

  • I purchased LG Nexus 5X phone almost 2 year back .All of sudden the phone stopped working and it is getting restarted. Now Service Center team asking me to pay 11000 to repair the motherboard. I came to know from service centre team itself that many customers of LG nexus 5X have faced the same problem. This is because of bad deisgn of LG nexus 5X motherboard. Even after writing to LG Management the matter is not solved. For fault in LG Nexus 5X motherboard, customers are being harassed. Should we expect some replcment with updated product ?

  • I had this issue. Took it back to the shop and was told that as it was within two years of purchase it was still within warranty. I had the nexus 5 before which I replaced because I dropped it, it did play up though after about 18 months of buying it from the google website. The nexus 5 was also covered by a 2 year warranty so it might be worth looking in to this before buying a new phone.

  • 1.5 years of good performance but entered bootloop and now iam forced to buy new phone................:(

  • @Laptop1234, My phone after 1 year -16 days entered the bootloop! It keep restarting. I still had 16 days left on my warranty luckily though. I am also on an old Sony Xperia right now. I only commented because of how similar my situation is.

  • My phone after one year and 8 days entered the bootloop! It keep restarting... And the warranty is end! It was great.... I am really sorry for it... I am in my old xperia sp now :-(

  • Definitely worth it over the budget phones. You'll get a much better camera and performance. This phone has never let me down. It's very fast, awesome camera, and latest software direct from Google.

  • I've been using this phone for about 1.5 years and never had any issues with it. The camera is fantastic (better than an iPhone) and the performance is great.

  • I bought it at july/2016 from Dubai but after 3 months it's color changed from white to yellow gradually , I'm very disappointed from the change of the color although the finger print still white ..

  • Getting it refurbished for around $120 I wanted to know if it's worth it or should I go for the budget Moto phones. I see a lot of complains of bootloop and restarting here. So I'm confused.

  • I bought my 5X in 2016 April. For 2 - 3 months, it has been crashing and restarting. Today it crashed, and restarted as usual, and then the system was start updating. Then the phone crashed again. Now it would not start. I assume it is an issue with the charging IC and that LG Nexus 5X is not very reliable in hardware department.

  • This phone is overall 7/10. But failed to sustain updates after 7.0 and its motherboard got crashed. i recommend not to buy this phone.

  • I have problem, this phone is overhit all the time. I think no one can fixed it.

  • It was good phone but in month of march this year 2017, while i was on call suddenly phone shut down, been to LG they ask for bill and orignal material which i got, after 15 days i got a call lady said we are not able to fix it up we are not shure its software problem or mother bord, if you want this phone in working condition submit 10 thousand rs. will try to work, what the hell, any one who can fix my phone in INDIA ?

  • But Nexus 6p

  • Unable to load the camera after an update. Also unable to use the front camera through apps like WhatsApp. Any help???

  • To solve bootloop, I've flash with the stock firmware manualy... Download the last firmware for "bullhead" for Nexus 5X : 7.1.2 (N2G47W, Jun 2017) In fastboost mode on the phone ( google search to know howto do this ), then connect usb to the computer. Unzip the firmware. Launch the "flash-all.bat" - (that's all). It need some apps (fastboot.exe...) can be found there: Unzip in the same folder and rerun "flash-all.bat". After the flash, the phone reboot, it's ok.

  • It sucks. Bootloop after Android 7.1.2 update.

  • Could it be fixed? Maybe i have the same problem. Start with google sign, but never reach the homescreen interface :(

  • My phone broke down and gets stuck in a boot loop after software update. It does not seem to stand heat. Also my old google product also ended up in boot loop. It does not seem like LG is yet up to deliver reliable mobile products.

  • What device will be better. Last phone(during last 2 years) was Nexus 5, but now I'm testing Xiaomi Mi5s, nice phone, but I still prefer pure stock Android. Is it worth to buy Nexus 5x now?

  • Same here...

  • I own Nexus 5X, I already charged full. I used it and dropped it, when I returned to use my phone It was switched off, up till this moment I send this report. I need it working, i need answers . respond

  • Bootloop ocurred with me.

  • Have a chance to get this again but already had 3 . I do like Nexus and this model but if recent updates have not solved anything then it must be hardware, loved my LG Nexus 4 and 5 but this has given me so much agro. Rumours LG building Pixel 2 lets hope like Nexus 5.

  • Yes there is bootloop with most 5x. I have tried heating the chips few times. No success. I heated it again today, and its started to work now. Dont know when it will crash.

  • This is a BS statement. I own 2 x Nexus 5X phones ( a white version and a greeen one ) and i absolutely love my phones. Both of them are running 7.1.2 Android version and are working so smooth, just like an iphone 7.

  • Don't do mistake by buying it

  • Just used one year, Can't boot up anymore , so sad,

  • I'm using nexus 5x for more than a year. no boot loops, not a simple problem. camera is great by the way

  • Yes major problems in bootloop; mine is still bootlooping after trying a reflow fix (worked for 24 hours then started bootlooping again) Bought mine close to the release date so I've been using it every day for 1 and a half years now Honestly was a good phone until I found out LG done goofed

  • Hi ! I am thinking of buying this phone . It's around 250€ Is it worth it ?

  • are there still problems with loops and boots?please tell me

  • I have been using nexus 5x for the last 6 month & after upgrading to 7.0 then 7.1.1 & now 7.1.2 this phone is running so smoothly. Battery life improves so much specially stand by time. Antutu score improved by 15k and gigbench score improved by 250+ from the day i purchased and now on. I'm happy :)

  • Before updating to Nougat its good. after that there found some major problems not only me but also many users. if anyone searching in Google what's the bad thingis in nougat version in LG Nexus 5x would understand that issue. These problems are that wifi will not work, charging slow sometimes it doesn't work, Bluetooth problem which I am facing now personally. so I suggest that not to upgrade android version. marshmallow is fine and eligible for this device.

  • Phone works great had if for 1 year almost, just did the update to 7.1.1, looking forward to better standalone smart watches, I will sell my phone once something good comes up, only use the watch, much more convenient in my opinion, no more bulky smartphone in the pocket.

  • This phone is defect. I use it 14 month and now it just death. (keep rebooting), then i found out i am not alone. Then found out is affected by the bonded flipchip substrate breaking off of the BGA package under the CPU. see the youtube comment : This is hardware related problem. LG current is facing the lawsuit related to this.

  • The Nexus 5X was by far the best smartphone I have had for a long time. The only negative part ist the battery.

  • Still best stock android phone.

  • this phone is awesome, cause the front and back camera are great and can record cool video, the problem is the battery not so good.

  • should i get s6 or nexus 5x?

  • i can give you the number of uday the guy who helped me. speak to him and explain him your problem clear and in detail. his contact number is 9989725033

  • Hi Mudassik, I am also facing the same problem from past 2 days. Could you please help me out to get any contacts.

  • Phone signal sucks!! I have a finished basement. I have owned many phones and NEVER had any issues receiving calls or texting from my basement, but with this Nexus 5x phone, all signal is lost. My friends and family with their iPhones and others have full signal. I also have no signal in our local grocery store where I have never had any problems with other phones.

  • Is this Jio supported mobile

  • that's not an update problem that's an bootloop issue which every nexus 5x is facing right now.nexus 5x all over the world are facing this problem. the phone doesnt switch on and keeps saying google google. my nexus 5x met with the same issue a week back and i tried taking to the service centre in hyderabad and they told me that it will cost around 8k. i've written to the lg service team regarding this issue and spoke with them and they responded positively and gave some guys number called uday and he helped me overcome with the issue free of cost. they changed the board free of cost for me. im from hyderabad. i hope this will help you

  • About 3hours sot

  • Lol I hope this is true

  • What the best screen on Time for this phone.? i do wanna know about battery backup,i plan to buy one

  • Need help fast, can't hear any voice when called on my LG Nexus pls anyone know the diagnosis

  • Speed - Excellent Finger Print - Super Fast Display - Average Sound - Bad Battery -Average Rear Camera - Excellent Front Camera - Below Average

  • i got an update notification of 7.1.2 ...and i was damn happy and excited for it. the very next day i updated it ...my phone got hangged ..it is not switching on by any means .i have tried all the steps in "thearticle" for nexus they dint work. finally went to a lg service centre and explained him everything. he said to change the mother board it costs 10k.....why such updates are given if the device cant handle it....i hate u nexus alot n alot... it is my brothers gift to me...

  • Thanks for your response. I don't want to try even rooting option because it is risky for me and can make the device sleep forever. I don't use the mobile data (3G,4G) at all. My device is connected to wifi all the time.Should i try some battery saving apps?

  • I hate this phone, I was skeptical about the ram before buying but now after using it for a year I can't use it like normal phone. Always lagging and the memory is not enough. Battery life is worse than ever. Note I am a very very light user . I miss Nexus 5 from LG.

  • I am satisfied with all Nexus 5x features except camera. It is fast and convinient phone. I ha used it for 15 months already. I may have wrong piece but my indoor photos are bad and exteriors as well (too much light or too dark). Especially when I travel to places with lots of sun.

  • I'm using with following: Pure nexus latest, Kernel ElementalX 4.06, CPU governor HawkTail 1.2 and have awesome autonomy: ~ 1.5 - 2 days normal use: 4G, web browser, Screen On Time(mostly browser with 4G): ~ 4.5 Hours, Maybe you can try on rooted stock software (ElementalX with HawkTail 1.2) and come back with your results here

  • I am surprised that why people are complaining About boot loop issues. I am using Nexus 5X and its awesome device. Especially its smoothness and awesome camera. I am a power user and using Samsung A5 2017 too. Nexus Battery is not good enough. It gives me 8 hours maximum on full use while A5 battery is impressive. Its lasts more than a day with proper use. Any suggestion to make the battery life better?

  • I hope Google and LG will make another one. Brilliant phone, the camera, the feel, the touch, everything. Let it with the stock rom and you will have no issues.

  • Please stop giving negative feedbacks about this phone.I am owning a 5x for 9 months..No boot loop issues before or after 7.1.2 update..Battery life is good.Awesome camera performance..Buttery smooth stock android experience.Yes the ram is a factor but excepting that it's probably the best and the last nexus I've used till date.

  • After a complete discharge-charge cycle everything seems to be back to normal

  • After the 7.1.2 update, my nexus 5x started to have charging problems. The battery is getting warm (theoretically it's charging) but the percentage is not raising. Or, sometimes, when I plug in the charger the percentage is raising very fast (1%/2-3 seconds), settles down at ~90%, after about 1h it's completely charged. After a complete charge discharge cycle it seems to be ok, but now it takes ~30min longer for a full charge and the phone doesn't get warm at all while charning, On 7.1.1 while charging it was getting a little bit warm

  • dont do it bootloop or brick

  • dont update guys boot loop or finger print issues i got both but luckily managed to get out by flashing manually after the update of 7.1.2 to android O the fingerprint on nexus 5x stops working and the phone keeps rebooting every 10 minutes. trust me i wasted 4 hrs and got back to android 7,1,1 so be safe i manually flashed android 7.1.2 and O constant reboot and bootloop then flashed 7.1.1 everythings perfect.

  • I got the official 7.1.2 update today should i install it or it has some issues !??

  • Had it for a whole year and it worked perfectly. Then all of a sudden got into a bootloop and became a brick. Not LG not Google take responsibility, even though they acknowledge that the hardware is defected. NOT RECOMMENDED!

  • I believe so. The only exception is battery life. Which rom are you using? Can you share your battery stats?

  • Been using it for over 7 days now. i switched to 5x after the nexus 5, i can say i love the phone, its perfect, battery lasts great. Truly a worthy successor to a nexus 5! Still more reviews to come from me.

  • My LG Nexus 5X died from the boot loop issues after upgrading to the 7.1.2 Android . I was using my phone and about to charge my phone, then the screen froze and turn off. After few minutes. I tried to shutting completely tuning it off , even from recovery (pressing volume down + power ) but nothing worked. Boot loop hell

  • Planning to change my nexus 5x for htc one a9 can't fix it should i go for htc one a9 or stay with it?

  • Don't consider buying it. LG never again in my house. I was using this phone for 12 months and it went to bootloop after OS update. Google support is redirecting users to LG, and LG is asking users to pay for repair even this is design issue.

  • My Google Nexus 5x just died to Bootloop issue after updating to Andriod 7.1.2. Past warranty, google sends people to LG who charge the same price to fix the damn phone.

  • I bought my phone and have been used it for 8 months, it died from the boot loop issues after upgrading to the latest beta program 7.1.2. I was using my phone and about to charge my phone, then the screen froze and turn off. After few minutes i tried to turn it on, but it keep on restart again, again, and again. May i know what can i do?

  • I think it was the boot loop issue, and may i know what android version are you in

  • My phone just died from the boot loop issue after upgrading to the latest beta program 7.1.2, and my phone was not even 1 year after the purchased. It froze and keep on restart at the boot loop screen. How can i fix it?

  • I have experienced same problem. Few days ago my phone just died with no symptoms. I procured it from Google just 15 months ago.

  • Have my phone for 1 year now and ever experienced this......mmm... I am on March 2017 security update...... and not enrolled in any beta program...... maybe keeping things simple works better....

  • Ok so I have had my phone for about 1 year now. Great phone for the price and getting android updates every month is comforting and peace of mind. My only issues are the battery used to get me 15 hours a day...... now I am down to 12 hours.... not a big deal cause I still get through the day. Second issue is the camera freezes if the temperature is too hot or the air is too moist... dont like that... dont happen very often but it can be annoying when it happens.... But besides those two issues this is a wonderful phone.. for US$300 what I paid 1 year ago... I cannot complain... beautiful screen, fast processing, great camera, good speakers, excellent software experience (stock android is great) and goo build...(dropped this phone many times and it still works just fine), fingerprint sensor works just fine and charging via USB-C is good enough and quick... the 2GB of memory is never an issue nor the 32GB of storage (just back up your pics and vids once a month and delete from the phone.....use your google cloud its free!!!) Good Job LG...

  • My phone just froze one day and it turned off. Idk how to fix it

  • The software of the phone is absolutely good. No complaints about whats inside the phone. HOWEVER! The rear camera lens broke after 3 months of use. It broke without any drops or pressure put onto it. Very disappointed with the camera lens. No warranty either

  • I am in Android 7.1.1 NRD90M Official Nougat. Running quite fine and superb battery life because of my root access from here with Greenify module plus Xposed. Really rooting make my phone great.

  • Hello, I'm still in January month security patch Waiting for further updates I'm in Android 7.1.2 beta Anyone have this sort of issues?

  • dont enroll in beta program, every time u will get the security patch at later date then

  • Yep, same here. I am wondering the same thing...

  • Yep, currently in Android 7.1.2 beta

  • How u install 7.1.2...

  • Still waiting for Feb month security update I'm in beta program Did anyone enrolled

  • Guys can you help me Clear my doubts regarding the bootloop thing which the nexus 5x is facing . Is it really true ?? Is it wise if I purchase it now as I'm really amaze by all its frequent updates so please guys help me out on this one .thank you :)

  • One is Android, the other iOS. Your choice!

  • Iphone 5s or lg nexus 5x?

  • this is barebones Android and they use their stock apps as actual replacements so Photos is our Gallery, google Music is your music Player but thats it you buy a blank canvas and build your own phone, no bloatware. In the Playstore there are many galleries and Music players.

  • Yes, I got mine. Only security patches, not a huge update so it's okay if you haven't got yours...

  • Hello, anyone got Feb month security update?

  • just want to share tips that may prolonged your nexus 5x or 6p, make sure to always monitor your device temperature, most of boot loop issue mybe because of the processor was burnt out.. i experienced it with my samsung note 8,when upgrading to kikkat 4.4..and since then it keeps booting.. now i use clean master to cool down my nexus 5x,and no problems so far..hopefully this will help..

  • So What abt battery backup bro

  • get a usb c to usb a.

  • How was the battery life ON NOUGAT Can i buy this ??

  • definitely 5x. 5x's camera and overall performance is better

  • You can enable notification led from settings...

  • Please be warned that it is not technically possible to enable call recording on Nexus 5x (apps - eg. ACR or skvalex, apps with root, custom ROM, even Xposed with installed module to enable stock call recording will not make calls to be recorded... which is a shame since it's suppose to be developer smartphone with no limits...). Cyanogenmod enables notification light which is behind lower (microphone?) grid. Very nice camera. Fast phone. With CM13 battery lasts 3-4 days (2 days @ stock)

  • Best phone of 2k16 Love it 2 the moon & back.

  • You will be making a good choice in swapping, I went from Oneplus One to a Nexus 5x, it is soooooo much better

  • This is unfortunately the price of Android. The OEM's make so little margins that they will not prioritise support. But consumers also don't value proper support either hence they want to pay the least money possible. Some will say there are street vendors who could have fixed your phone but you have no guarantee either.

  • how to connect PC

  • I'm think about swapping my oneplue 2 for a 5x. my oneplus 2 had soooo many problems

  • Although most LG products are OK, their service is horrible. I sent my LG Curve in 6mo ago for repair. After months of misleading statements and outright lies, I still don't have a phone. Today I spoke with them. They are sending me a Nexus 5x. From what I can tell it is a step backwards. I will NEVER buy LG again. Not in any product or form. This kind of business practice is inexcusable.

  • Can anyone tell me its battery life on 3g after nougut update?

  • With stock android this is a perfect phone. It feels really good and very light weight. Battery drains very fast, but think it's because the latest andriod and the sensors. sometimes It heats in the back panel between camera and the fingerprint sensor.i donno why, but it's annoying. Otherwise it has a greate camera and smooth performance.

  • Should I swap my Nexus 5X to an OnePlus 2? How is the camera performance of the 2 compared to 5X?

  • Nexus 5x definitely. Look at chipsets bro. 5x has 808 64-bit. G3 has 32-bit only means slower. And dont be deceived by RAM unless you are going to root your phone. Camera is great, google has focused that because its their weakness before.

  • Why my phone do cast to chromecast TV's even Me do nothing? Im on public Wi-Fi. Can you help me out, how to fix the problem?

  • It's called photos

  • Its nice. It stays longer than before.

  • Don't Buy Google nexus , at first check review and google forum , Very Bad Phone , All Google Nexus. i have already used nexus phone all, and checked all phone bad situation and all phone dead after 1 year 2 days. then service center changing very big amount approx new phone price and no one helped because all service center telling over 1 years but my phone over 1 years 2 days and other phone 1years 1 months .it is logical talking :)

  • Don't Buy Google nexus , at first check review and google forum , Very Bad Phone , All Google Nexus.

  • you can actually just download an app for it. But mostly the apps provided there have provided what you need, ie see documents from google docs, music from google play, photos from the photo app.

  • Hello, I'm looking for a good Android phone within the price range of 300$. Currently thinking about LG Nexus 5x or LG G3 32Gb, cause they seem the best. Anyone has any suggestions?

  • It's named photos

  • 5x is the most pocket friendly phone with an outstanding camera performance :)

  • Huawei p9 lite

  • Install Google Photos

  • just bought it yesterday...today i realise phone doenst has galery...why?

  • just bought it yesterday...today i realise my phone doesnt has galery...why?

  • 7.1.1 is running way better than 7.0 for me. No bugs/glitches so far

  • no dude ive updated it 2 weeks ago and i dont have any problems especially with battery it runs as smooth as 7.0 i recomend to update it

  • i received my OTA 7.1.1 update last week. one question, should i install it? i'm doubtful since i read online that it is still kinda buggy especially with the battery stuff

  • Have been rocking a 5x for 2 months now, so far it's great. On battery life, the screen time is middling, but the standby time is great. As long as you are not a heavy user, the battery should last.

  • How is battery life in Marshmallow or nougat?

  • U must have a good one. Then again, you've had it for a very short time. I have nothing but bad things to say in the 11months I've had TWO N5x'.

  • Google store online. But save yourself the aggravation and buy something else. The N5x performance is AWFUL!!!!

  • Do NOT buy the 5x. A friend of mine and I have it (we upgraded from the Nexus5) and this phone is TERRIBLE. MINE gave up 9months after purchase. Google sent me a new phone (I bought the N5x to have lower monthly payments). Anyways, two months later, the phone is all kinds of buggy and unresponsive about 70% of the times. It crashes often too (it restarts on its own while I'm utilizing the phone). So that's my opinion (after having TWO Nexus 5x IN UNDER A ONE YEAR PERIOD (plus my friends experience is about the same, except that his has not crapped out yet). Just buy something else.

  • I'm looking for new mobile price upto 25k max. I use mostly for browsing(Excluded-FB. insta, twitter etc but some other 4-5 apps until battery gets down ) and high resolution games and good camera. I'm looking for 5'2 inch phone but i'll buy 5'5 also if the mobile is worth. Anyone can suggest me good mobile ? *PARDON MY BAD ENGLISH*

  • Camera performance is nice. I think it gives better quality of pic among all 13 mega pixel

  • How`s the camera, compared to let`s say G4 for example, or S6/7???

  • Hye. . Any comment for LG nexus 5x performance?

  • install firmware form fastboot mode i will work

  • automatic call recorder app for lg nexus 5x install some apps but dosent work

  • Nexus 5x for sure

  • when i did update today the phone has blocked ( no command) & i tried al solution hi didn't turn up normal ... what i do !!!

  • are you serious ?? surely update it

  • The store is called 'Hot Gadgets'.

  • hi there. may i ask where you bought your Nexus 5x? i've been looking for a shop everywhere. i'm from ph too btw

  • Step 1: Find the money. Step 2: Go to a phone shop. Step 3: Ask the if the phone is available. Step 4: If the answer for step 3 is a Yes, then buy the phone. It's simple ;)

  • I'm using this excellent piece of phone for last 10 days as my secondary device. Hardware per say is way ahead of iPhone 5s be it camera performance, screen quality or overall usage experience. iPhone could be your choice only basis of small screen size and iOS. Given a choice, any day I would go with Nexus 5x over iPhone 5x.if you are considering iPhone 6 or upwards, then it's a different matter and go ahead with iPhone.

  • I wish to buy this phone in India.. please let me know how to buy it

  • i bought my nexus 5x today and i'm asking : should I upgrade to 7.1.1 or I let it in marshmallow ??

  • Which is best in your opinion about LG Nexus 5X or Huawei G8?

  • In my opinion I would go for the Nexus but it's really your opinion

  • About the issues you afraid of buying Nexus 5x today. After my research before I took my device, I concluded that the bootloop issue when update from Marshmallow to Nougat, was in some of the first production 2015 series. Check the serial number on the box package before you buy it, to be recent product and probably will be ok. The yellowish sense color in the screen, the lag if you used the device while it was charging, were in the first production series, too. About the Type-C port/cable, the non-removable battery and the nagging about the usb adapter for pc connection which doesn't included in the package... Really?? Nagging for these stuff??? Type-C is new tech which will replace micro-usb, so it looks future proof in my opinion. Usb adapter is not included, but too many smartphone packages from many brands don't include usb adapter, hands-free speakers set, external bluetooth device, silicon case etc. (micro-usb adapter stick included in my package by the way). Non-removable battery is used to be supported by many brands in too many devices the last years so I don't think that is something should stop you buying this device. Maybe in the next years, you won't find any device with removable battery. Hope to help and Merry Christmas!

  • I have Nexus 5x with 32GB, carbon/black color, 7.1.1 android version, not for too long and here are my impressions. It is plastic and the back has a glossy touch which is really nice cause it doesn't slip easily from your hand. It doesn't look and feel in your hand cheap but not too expensive. It is just fine. In standby the battery in 12 hours lost only 2% (nice). I have to charge it in the end of the day (normal+ use). Charging from 0% to 100% in less than 2 hours which is great. The available memory Ram is 1.8GB and the stock usage is 0.9GB. With 3-4 apps is 1.1-1.2GB. Think that other no-stock OS smartphones use 1.3GB with brands' preinstalled apps. So, if the memory Ram is enough depends of the user. The speakers are not too good. The sound quality is just ok.

  • I prefer an easily replaceable battery. A non-removable one like this is a deal breaker as far as I'm concerned. I spend too much time away from electrical outlets to even consider something that does not allow me to easily swap batteries.

  • Hello Everyone! I'm getting one of these in couple of days and wondering has anyone ever had bootloop problem and has it happened with Marshmallow or Nougat. After purchasing it I came to know a lot of people experiencing this problem and bit scared about it. Thanks in advance!

  • Should I buy the nexus 5x or the iPhone 5s .pls reply wth a good opinion

  • Few days ago I upgraded my 5X to Android v7.1. I was happy with 7.0, and thing I like the most on v7.1 are new camera features. Now you can manualy select white balance, and also you have little slider, so you can make exposure brighter or darker before you take picture (you can use this option in video too). That's really nice from them to give us little more control over camera, which was always great on this phone. I have this phone for about 6 months now and I'm very happy with it. Best phone I ever had, I'm happy with everything it have to offer :)

  • The 5X is certainly no slouch. Stock battery life will get you 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours of screen on time (WiFi/Mid-brightness). The fingerprint sensor is blazing and memory management isn't bad either. It doesn't get too hot under any circumstances, but if you're using it in the winter, try to keep it in your pocket - the cold is this device's enemy. I don't use cameras often, so this is more than good enough for me (4K video? Is that even necesarry?). If you're wanting more battery, check out XDA and put a custom kernel on it. The dev base for this phone is VERY strong.

  • Beware before buying Google /LG NEXUS Mobile phones Spent Rs 36K on purchasing much publicised Google Nexus 5X mobile phone from Reliance Digital, Dwarka, New Delhi last year, believing quality/brand of Google. However, after upgrading OS basis alerts from Google, phone started giving trouble and got dead without giving any indication. Most surprisingly some of my other friends also faced similar issues (within 10-14 months of purchase) while upgrading the OS on their Nexus phones. After, failed in trouble shooting exercises with Google and LG team over telecon; took handset LG service centre at Sector 14, Gurgaon and got diagnosed as ‘Mother Board needs to be replaced’ which got impacted while upgrading/using the Android OS. Also user will have to bear the expenses of around 9K for the same. Though, Google/LG cannot compensate users on inconvenience caused by their hi-end imperfect phone however Google/LG should rectify such known MANUFACTURING DEFECTS free of cost for the impacted devices. Therefore, readers of this post are cautioned to please double verify such manufacturing defects in Google/LG NEXUS phones to avoid inconvenience and additional financial burden.

  • Battery life is amazing. It only needs 1-2 charges per day and i use it often. THE CAMERA IS AMAZING. I WOULDNT TRADE THIS PHONE FOR ANYTHING ELSE. camera is spectacular i will never go back to Samsung , that phone has a terrible battery life. Nexus is great.

  • Yes.. It's battery performance is not good

  • And my nexus 5X is not recognized by the computer

  • My battery life is too bad its about a day with out using is that normal ???!

  • Please Help: Battery will drain fast after a year of using?

  • Nexus 5x, definitely.

  • With the 16gb version I will be fine?

  • NEVER BUY NEXUS PHONES OR LG PHONES !!!! I bought my nexus 5x on November,2015 for 34,000 INR ( 500 USD ) . Exactly after 2 weeks of the expiry date of warranty my phone got dead and I visited LG customer care centre and they said that MOTHERBOARD IS DEAD !!!!.. Redicilous.. Unbelievable because the cost of repair they said was 11,000 INR ( 160 USD ) .Before buying this phone I trusted nexus by Google and manufacturing of LG . After looking at this bloody customer care service by LG or GOOGLE ... I SUGGEST TO PEOPLE THAT THINK TWICE BEFORE BUYING SUCH EXPENSIVE DEVICES !!

  • Personally I'd take a Nexus over any other phone, even though I can't get any accessories in South Africa.

  • Should I buy LG Nexus 5X or Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016)? Which of that will give me the best experience and why?

  • Go for nexus the g4 has ghosting touch and higher s-ar value

  • nexus 5x always

  • got the android 7.1 on 16 ...really liked the update

  • Have had 7.1.1 for nearly two weeks now. Phone running very smoothly and battery life excellent, at least two days on normal use. The 5x is the best phone I have ever had and nougat is simply superb. My problem will be what will I do when the battery is in decline, the pixel phones are so expensive but I would find it difficult to live without automatic updates, one reason I have had three Nexus phones now.

  • I can't decide between LG Nexus 5X and Motorola Moto G4, which is a better choice

  • I bought one on July, so I have to went to Mexico, there won't turn on never the nexus 5x , and Lg said they had no way of replacing me, finally the phone only work 3 months and failed motherboard, bad experience :(

  • Greetings from Greece. Mine 5X 32GB has received 7.1.1 version on 5.12.2016 and is working totally smoothly. The battery duration has clearly improved, maybe the most stable version till now

  • Mine updated. The irony is that 7.0 was finally lasting 3 days again. Now on 7.1.1 I can hardly get 1.5 days. Seems one step forward, several back when Google does an update.

  • Updates don't "pile up"

  • Relax and cool down, your update is on the way.

  • Relax and cool down, your update is on the way.

  • It will take 14 days to reach every nexus devices so wait until 19th December

  • I'm also from the Philippines. My Nexus 5x is already on 7.1.1 since last week.

  • Hi, i am form Venezuela and i got 7.1.1 on december 5th. It's weird you didn't get it taking in thought that google rolls out its software updates all at once (i think). In previous installations i had to wait a few days or two weeks to get it, like samsung owners, because samsung delivers its software updates by groups but be sure you will be getting it soon

  • im just wondering if google state the the android 7.1 will be starting to roll out dec 6, why Iam not still getting this update today? my 5x is not rooted either. btw im from the philippines. any other thoughts as to why?

  • there cannot be much left storage after all these updates, I have considered this after Pixel too much expense so thinking of 5x. I would get 32gigs version but surely not much storage left.

  • Anyone received Android 7.1.1 OTA update? Does that fix the battery drain which was in Android 7?

  • I get bothered when one's shared info can cause a harm to others. Though Battery life is subjective the ratio of power consumption by screen is not. I've noticed earlier I mean at Android 6 the battery consumption rate per minute of SOT at 50℅ brightness is 2.07mah on avg. Now it's 3mah. So u decide.

  • annoying that you let such petty things bother you

  • I was meaning i updated my 5X on the 6 of December.

  • I have a 5 x , so what is the problem. We have 2 x 5 X devices and both running 7.1.1. Its the best update so far for me.

  • I think before posting anything you should know where are u, don't post in 5x page about 6 /6p/5/4..

  • Nexus 5X , lol

  • Buddy, u r using Motorola Nexus 6 or Huawei nexus 6p right? I'm using Nexus 5x..as the phone is not same so is the performance. Again, I did a factory reset and after that what I saw I said. And if u wanna know more about it feel free to join Nexus community in google+.. there u will know how the 7.1.1 is performing for all..u r welcome

  • I updated to 7.1.1 official on the 6 and my battery is way better than 7. 7.1.1 is so much cooler. Phone is faster apps load quick and no bootloop. Maybe you did not RESET after you took the Update. Also my signal has improved allot. So go for it

  • Guys, dont update to official Android 7.1.1 as it will deteriorate ur battery life by huge Margin. Stay at 7.0..I did updated mine I know it. Again, for those who are thinking about boot loop issue, I saw a guy who didn't have this issue when updated to 7.0 but now after updating to 7.1.1 he is facing this..so if u fear a lot don't update ...now if u really wanna update its up to u

  • Got official android 7.1.1 last night.. Updating right now. Hope it goes well

  • No, we all understood what he meant perfectly.

  • How many people you know says "Hey, I got a Nexus 5X in (this) January" when it was in fact 12 friggin months ago? LMFAO At least he/she could have said it was January this year or 2016. This is not an English lesson. but usually when you say (this) doesn't it mean sometime in the future? ;)

  • The phone has been out for a year. He meant last January, not in the future. Duh

  • Its the best phone ever, very sustainable and strong and beautiful. I dont like the latest update though, they're making the icons look uglier than they fiestly were

  • It's not even January yet... LMFAO.....

  • Hey, I got a Nexus 5X in this January. But after using 10/12 days, camera of this phone is not working. While starting the camera app it starts to restart again and again. Now the phone is not working. While it starts it continues to boot again and again. I have discussed this matter with local LG. But they could not help me as LG didn't launch this phone in Bangladesh. Is there any solution dear??

  • Why?

  • tttnnxxx my friend.are you sure??the probleme will have directly after the update and not after a daily?

  • There is unfortunately no apps or ways to find out which phone gonna face the boot loop issue. But I think as you didn't face the problem even after updating to nougat u may not face the problem in the future.

  • hi friend is there a way to know if my nexus 5x will bootlooping.i read many articl every day i show people have bootloop with nexus 5x with android nougat iam very afraid :( i dont have warranty for my phone...iam running now android 7.0 november security patch i have android nougat 35 day ago..please is there a way like an application or someting like this to know if my phone have a probleme and will bootlooping??????and i dont have mony to repaire my phone or change it please help meeee my all friend :( any advice

  • Of course 5x

  • Which One Should I get the P9 lite or the nexus5x

  • I got my nexus 5x a couple of weeks ago and all I can say that its a wonderful phone. 32 Gig is more than enough for me and 2 Gig ram is also enough... I am not playing or using any heavy resource app so for me it is a good marriage :) I didn't have a single lag so far..

  • Nexus 5x is better

  • Thank you for your reply. Hope you enjoy your new phone...! Did you update it to Nougat android version? Is it still fast, lag issues? Do you know anything about the bootloop issues? For example, if only the first production have these probs?

  • I have just got this phone a week ago and i am quite happy with that too. i had Redmi note 3 with 3gb of ram but nexus 5x with 2gb run much smoother and better thanks to its Stock android. so go for it bro if u don't want big screen than everything on this phone is amazing.

  • Hi guys, do you suggest of buying nexus 5x 32GB or another device close to this price? I want to keep the new device 2 years or more. I'm not a heavy user, but I'm wondering because is one year old, just 2gb of ram and some of them I read that have bootloop problem after the last android update. Your advice would be nice.

  • Yea I get what you mean. Did they clarify on what parts of the hardware causes it? I'm here wondering if that sort of problem would spread to more 5x's (over time) since they more or less run on the same hardware. I think I'm gonna be a bit more careful now when it comes to updates, really don't want to lose this phone to some defect of a sort because overall to me, it's a great handset.

  • Thanks Did a Project Fi Nexus 5x will work with Indian career?

  • Yes, I got it for 300 and still feel like I got a great deal.

  • Did nexus 5x purchased through Project Fi from USA will work without problem in India with Local Career Network? Is nexus 5x is better choice over Moto G4 Plus? Is Nexus 5x is still worth to buy at $250? Please advice best device for Photos under $300. Thanks

  • What type of updatr

  • Don't update to beta Android version.

  • today is the update

  • 30.500rs for 32gb

  • Nexus 5x or P9 Lite 2GB ram?

  • Updated my nexus 5x to 2nd developer preview, When phone restarted for update installation "Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and may not work properly" like this msg came After that the update installations completes And device starts normally, then I opt-out beta program but didn't received the general Android OTA yet (I opt-out 2 days ago) how to fix this?

  • Can anyone tell me its present price in pakistan....

  • i love it

  • Which one is better? Nexus 5X or Htc A9?

  • will this phone get updates after android N ?

  • just because your friend's phone had some kind of problem, doesn't mean that all phones cant live for more than two. I have had an iphone 4s for over 5 years now. It still work perfectly even thought it is really old. It is not that all smart phones are sensetive or something. It is about how someone uses them and takes care of them (btw,my iphone 4s is glass from the front and back).

  • Yea just got it yesterday

  • Does anyone got Nov month security update? I'm running 7.1.1 beta, still no updates

  • You are either lying or the problem might exist on you device only.

  • This is great phone, no issues updating to nougat fingerprint sensor is fast and multitasking is no problem despite the 2Gb of ram. Camera is good, as is the video. I would recommend this phone to a friend with no hesitation.

  • Don't by this model I prefer Nexus 6p . Because this model have only 2gb ram but 6p have 3gb which save your life. Becaus Nexus5x has heating issues in normal use.

  • Hi im from dubai i want to by nexus 5x original version... yes plss tel wer i can by in dubai... i dont want souq...

  • Google nexus 5x because it is a phone from world class company like Google who is directly competitor of apple and of course you will get the latest android update when available

  • How is nexus 5X..? I want to buy it..

  • I also made it clear that I didn't have the issue on my set..but it's the reality that some may be few Nexus 5x have some hardware issues. So u know...

  • Sorry I should have answered ur all questions in the previous message. The box was not wrapped by usual polybag. But u know the set was fresh..sometimes they had to show the set to the customers so it doesn't have that wrapping. And u won't get a headphone with it.

  • I bought it from Banani branch.u will get it in any branch. Just call that branch beforehand.

  • I bought it 5/6 months back.. I didn't face the boot loop issue when updated to nougat..

  • lg nexus 5x or Samsung galaxy j7 prime which is best & why?

  • I have the 32GB Nexus 5x. When Nougat was officially released and I received the OTA update, I installed it and didn't have any such problems that you mentioned. I didn't even realise that there was an issue with some handsets and the update.

  • Please #Google add night mode and Google assistant in 7.1 updates.

  • Thnx for your kind information. You bought from which gadget & gear branch? Handset was intake? You get any headphone in the box?

  • When you bought from G&G..? I want to buy it on 13-11-2016 from G&G ....Just one confusion bootloop.....!! please tell something...! TIA

  • I'm using Nexus 5x with nougat. U know it's truly luck whether u will be affected by the boot loop or not. If u r scared to buy this then go for OP3.. The

  • Both are good set. though I am using Nexus I will vote for iPhone 6s because of its longer software support as well as better resale value. But as per display goes iPhone uses LG made display so I don't think it would cause u any problem

  • LG Bangladesh never brought this set officially into Bangladesh so u better go to Gadget & Gear and the price of 32gb would be around 24k bdt. I have bought mine from them

  • I have been using nexus 5x from the past 5 montgs.....1 thing which i found bad about this mobile is that for a video of 4 mints it would occupy 1gb of memory....not sure if this same with all nexus devices

  • Its going for around 260EUR for the 32gb model in Europe.

  • Am hppy boy from kenya i like the phone

  • How can i find out the original nexus 5x. Have any tips?

  • Can anyone please tell me both 16&32 gb nexus 5x current ongoing prices?

  • great overall phone, super fast and reliable, especially now with the 7.1.1 Nougat update, i would not change it for anything (only a Pixel) at this point, since i had this Nexus 5x December 2015 i forgot about freezing, spontaneous restarts, slow performance and all the other issues that the rest of the phones that had so many issues running Android : Samsung, HTC etc. So...my conclusion is this one : for the money that they are selling it now it's just to good to be true, get one !

  • buy from a normal dealer.

  • guys, I want to buy nexus 5x.. But i m worried about bootloop issue. In our country there is no authorized dealer, so i won't get any warranty. What shout I do?

  • Can anyone plz tell me or send me the link to buy 32gb Nexus 5x?

  • Hi, i m ashiq from Bangladesh. Now this handset is not avaiable in lg showroom. but i want to buy this phone so plz anybody help me how can i buy it.............

  • Please guys can anyone tell me wich better for eyes nexus 5X or iphone 6s example ? because i used iphone 5S and its display was hurt my eyes after using about half ahour specially browsing facebook

  • I have 5x 32gb best that money can buy

  • Yes. I have a LG Nexus 5x with Android 7.0 working like a charm. No issues at all.

  • Is there nexus 5x owners who successfully updated to Nougat and does not have boot-loop issue or random reboots. I know it's affecting small number of phones but when i read about it it's all about those who have this issue and nothing about those lucky people who doesn't. I just wanna buy this phone and i don't know is it worth it or not. If i will do i update to Nougat or keep marshmallow.

  • LOL!! :D There is no any chance that Moto G4 Plus can be better than Nexus 5X. The camera on Nexus 5X is much better than one on the G4 Plus. Nexus 5X has the same sensor as Nexus 6P (Sony IMX377), and they are one of the best camera phones on the market at the moment. Nexus 5X can record the video in 4K resolution, also it has HDR+ which is great feature, because it really makes images look better (especially in low light conditions). Also, Nexus 5X has faster SoC. Overall, Nexus 5X is a clear winner in this case, Moto G4 (Plus) is a good phone, but 5X is a little better. ;)

  • Only google pixels are better than this one

  • Obviously Moto g4 plus, I used both The cams are same Bt g4plus has better battery life

  • Some Nexus 5x units have this hardware issue and so they got into boot loop problem.. Mine is perfect. Using nougat for over 1.5 months

  • Best phone ever i had it is truly for camera and fingerprint sensor and it is amazing coz i m use nexus 5 they are great

  • Ia have been using nexus 5 from 2 year and then i tried nexus 5.ho cannot say the quality..its damn bad..bulit quality is so poor..its hanging all the time..

  • You must be unlucky to have a such faulty unit.. it's the G4 that holds the crown for BootLoop issues !

  • This phone has the bootloop issue since Nougat and reverting to Marshmallow doesn't solve it. Google has said it's a hardware issue and will not replace it if out of warranty even for a couple of days. Very disappointed with this phone.

  • hi, this is the one of best phone, I use this phone

  • Don't go for LG G4 as it has bootloop issue. So better go for Nexus or up your budget a bit and go for one plus 3

  • I want to buy that.plz anyone say me that this phone has any problm or not.how about camera, sound, battery, etc all impotent thinks.plz say me☺☺☺☺&amp;#9786;.Thanks

  • Hello guys, wanted to ask if it's worth buying 32GB model for 300euros or better to buy LG G4 for 350? p.s. sorry for bad english :D

  • No from exp

  • where from i buy this NEXUS 5X ?

  • This is one of the best smart phn I have been using since 3 months. No heating issues no camera issues no software issues its completely smooth even the battery lasts 1 full day. Its perfect compact phn for everybody so go for it without any question.

  • does the battery finishes while not in use

  • Go for the Nexus its waaaay better then your other choices

  • I want to buy a new mobile but can't decide which one to buy. I have asked the following question 4 times in yahoo answers but no one replied. So kindly help me to decide which one will be better among the followings. $300 is my budget. I don't play games in mobile and i am looking for smooth performance and at least 3 years durability. Thanks in advance. 1) Lg Nexus 5x 32gb, 2) Xiaomi Mi 5 32 gb, 3) Samsung J7 Prime and 4) Huawei P9 Lite.

  • I'm quite happy with the phone. Cameras great, fine screen and fast processor. Multitasking is no big deal for the phone and the fact that it has stock Android makes it even better. The battery lacks though... It's just not enough for a full day... I do recommend this phone if you want a good, mid range phone that does more that you want.

  • S6 is way better in terms of performance. Nexus tx will get updates quicker though :)

  • @Miki - I would go for the Nexus - better (quicker) security updates, and pure fast android without bloatware. The 5x let's you change the battery relatively easy if you want to keep it more than approx. 2 years

  • What would you guys recommend. Huawei P9 Lite 16gb/2gb RAM or Nexus 5x 32gb/2gb RAM? Thanks.

  • No, it doesn't

  • Either of these would be good.

  • Nexus 5x or Moto G4 plus?

  • I lost my camera app function upon update last oct 25, 2016. Flashlight also not functioning. Anybody have the same experience?

  • OMG I can't decide which is better, Nexus 5x or LG G3?

  • Is there anyone who experienced any bootloop or heating up issues with the nexus 5x, how about the battery life on heavy usage? Someone respond pls.

  • no 7.1 yet but it is thr best phone you can buy at 300eur. i had the A5 in hand but i returned it and bought this one. i complete ly love it. not even 1sec delay in one week of full use.

  • It's rapid charge in 15min

  • Is it supporting dual sim & 4G?

  • Not only Nougat, but also the next 2 versions for sure. Coz it's a Google phone.

  • is phone this able to take nought 7.1 update? Please tell about the front camera. Is it heat heavily? What the performance of multi tasking? Is it have fast charge?

  • thanks mate... :)

  • Your comparation makes no sense. Galaxy S6 is a way better phone.

  • Yes it supports the Reliance Jio VOLTE

  • Nexus 5x or galaxy s6?

  • Screen is litle yellow wish.you can chang it by setting, about phone,Build number. Then click that more than seven times or more. Then go back there is a developer option under settings.tap on cool colour temperature.then screen looks litle blueish.

  • Oneplus CONFIRM that their flagship mobile ONEPLUS 3 will update on Nought in upcoming days.

  • How's nexus 5x in nougat version?

  • hello, can someone please help me. im skeptic only about 1 thing with LGs phones: its yellow spots on screen (i guess its glue), and i had this problem with last 2 phones G2, and G3, and i saw it happened on Nexus 5. i am wondering has LG done something about this, and does this happen on this Nexus 5x model, as im very interested in this model. thank you.

  • how much for replacement of nexus 5x motherboard 32gb? please help me out...p

  • Does it support Jio sim India. And support volte

  • 5x is best smart phone

  • U will get 24.89 GB free as internal storage for 32 GB Nexus 5x. I have 19 apps installed other than the preloaded apps and I have around 470 mb free ram right now

  • how much rom+ram free for user on nugat 7.1 nexus 5x 32 gb ? anybody please...

  • thanks for the answer

  • Yes.. They are just telling that in a way so that it seems the feature is pixel only. Actually, both Nexus 5x and 6p has unlimited free high quality photo storage and the photos saved on storage must be within 18 megapixel. As both 6p and 5x has 12.3 megapixel so it is unlimited for them.. now for video only 1080p videos can be saved on unlimited storage not 4k. But what more u r getting in Pixel phones is u can store ur 4k videos there in the unlimited storage ...

  • nope only for pixel smartpgones

  • Does Nexus 5x users get unlimited storage in Google Drive for photos taken in Nexus 5x.

  • I second you! The features are acceptable for me, except for the speaker, which is i think below par. However i must admit when you connect to a good headphone, the sound quality is great (i repeat, sound quality, not just high volume). Better than my previous HTC One (M7).

  • x5 or s5 neo??

  • thing is that oneplus phones are amazing but never get updated a lot. Though this phone doesnt have good specs for the price I'd say u go with the oneplus 3 since Cyanogenmod ROMS are always there just in case he phone doesnt get an update

  • Planned Obsolescence I only deal with sub-$100 phones these days. Anyone paying more than $500 for flagships must love throwing away their money for something that becomes the IT device for no longer than six months.

  • Friends! do not waste your money for smart phones. All of them have 1-2 year life, after that these become problematic and then you are forced to buy some other mobile. When ever I go through the reviews of different mobiles I see that no mobile is perfect.About 2 months back my friend bought a new Huawei Nexus 6P but within one month its display got black. He sent the mobile to the service center. The display fault was corrected by replacing LCD screen but all the sensors stopped functioning. He had to send his mobile to the service center again.what is the benefit of spending money and buying problems.I would suggest that people should switch over to feature phones like great NOKIA 3310 and enjoy life. This will also force the mobile manufacturing companies to produce good quality feature phones like in the past.

  • Depends on which country u r in

  • I would, but Im afraid its out of my budget (280€ max) Well, how much does the OP3 cost?

  • Is phone able to take nought 7.1 update? Please tell about the front camera. Is it heat heavily? What the performance of multi tasking? Is it have fast charge?

  • Is this phone better overall than the Nexus 5?

  • Is this phone still worth getting? I want a new phone and i can spend around $300 for it.

  • Boot-loop problem: Bought the phone a month ago, the phone has gone to boot-loop (continuously getting switched off and on by itself ), no clue to depend on the phone or not.

  • Go for the Nexus. I bought the Z3 and sold after one week.

  • Nexus 5x will get the major Android update till October 2017 and security patches till October 2018, guaranteed.

  • Close ur eyes and go for Nexus 5x , if u wanna chose from these.. otherwise u can also look for OnePlus 3

  • Nexus 5x or xperia z3? Im indecisive because of the release dates ( unfortunately, z3 wont get any more updates) thats why i would consider 5x,but still not too impressed So, what would you guys suggest? :)

  • will it still get updated in 3 years time after google just announced their pixel..anyone??

  • thanks mate

  • Yes, There are cons as well but with this price and such great specifications we can overlook it. It has only 1080p display which obviously is not great but not worst and thus the battery provided will last for 24hrs as display is efficient AMOLED. You can check this in many reviews as well. As display is not high battery will last enough.

  • It's for nearly 27K PKR (17K INR), I am considering it but afraid of low capacity battery..

  • Which censor and hardware you think Nexus dont have? 5x is one of the finest phone under 25k. Oneplus 3 is not worth of its price? Are you serious? Please check the specifications once again. Specifications are way more than enough let me know what else is equally important . Performance wise One plus 3 is currently within top 5 for every benchmarks.

  • Just updated my 5X to Nougat and its awesome. Battery is already much better. Call quality also way better than before. I would just advise you to do a factory reset straight after update.

  • If you want quality of censor and hardware Nexus dont have any option and about one plus 3 i dont thing its worth money only specifications are not enough.

  • Of these 5x is better but not the best coz it has only 2 GB of RAM and also the SP 808 is well enough but generates more heat..also don't forget that if u play game with Nexus 5x ur battery life would be a trash

  • I recommend 5x but obviously the 32GB edition

  • You can go for Oneplus 3 (6 GB ram) for the price of 28k or for a bit low budget You can wait for Mi 5s(4 GB ram) to launch. You can also checkout Mi Note3 (3 GB ram) at 10k or LeEco phones.

  • Thanks!

  • Yes, it does support USB OTG. You have to get a USB A (female) to USB C (male) adapter. Also, the app "USB Media Explorer" works great for fast file transfers.

  • Guys..which of this 2 u recommend..Nexus 5X(16gb) or P9 Lite(3gb ram??

  • guys i need a new mobile for especially for gaming. To be honest i play heavy games and i would like to buy a phone that doesn't lag, which of the following are the best ? sony xperia m5, lg nexus 5x 16 gb or samsung galaxy s5 neo ?

  • Damn true!

  • If you love |android go for it! If u like IOS, go for 5 SE at least!

  • Either go for Nexus 5x if Moto g4..Redmi cameras are trash..I own the 3s prime and it's camera is s##t. And the others that u have mentioned arent well enough to consider. Oh btw, I'm reply u by my Nexus 5x

  • A5 2016

  • Best: great camera, great fingerprint sensor, clean android, fast upgrades. Biggest problems: No screen mirroring (they want that client buy a cast pen), the function it´s blocked on purpose by manufacturer! You can't control the disappearing of soft keys / menu buttons when you want full screen, like on tv or video apps. The sound it´s very poor, sounds like a basic smartphone, the speaker should be three times better.

  • Wait for Pixel X.

  • Does this phone have USB On-The-Go support?

  • Hey Friends plz help me to suggest a good Mobile phone, Which one is great performace and stylish phone? oppo f1s redmi note 3 Lenovo k5 note redmi S3 prime Moto G4 Nexus 5x Gionee S6s Vivo v3 max Or Any Other Mobile?

  • LG Nexus 5x 16GB or Huawei P9 lite?

  • better go for iPhone SE and get a case for that

  • Report says, those units which has hardware problem ( which nobody knows) will get affected by boot loop problem only after updating to nougat...so if u r afraid , dont update..

  • Its natural to have yellowish flash lite.

  • Is boot loop coming after updating to nougat only? Or in marshmallow too?

  • I am planning to buy a mbile.so suggest me wich mbile 2 buy Nexus 5x or iphone 5s...

  • I'm assuring you that this is not a software bug/problem.its a hardware isse like all the LG flagships.Every LG flagships of first couple of batches on last 2/3 have same bootloop problem and LG is well aware of this.U r not having issue as urs one is newer one which is produced after LG checked the issue. LG g3/g4/g5 even V10 has same issue. If it is a software problem then none of this would have happened with other LG models. At last I wanna say, as we love LG so we want LG to take this issue seriously and make a flawless product which I bet they easily can

  • True...on Roaming there is no notification whether Data is on or off, it only shows R, In home network it shows LTE or H+. I have raised this in Google's Nexus Forum..few other users too are facing the same issue, hope this is rectified soon.

  • when we are talking about camera lg was always more than average

  • Yes maybe everything can happen me too my phone are new too ibuy it from 2 month

  • Nexus 5X or Huawei P9 Lite? Prefer one with better camera, sound and hardware

  • Same problem here.. "download pending" ..and one more here, when roaming data enabled, there is no symbol for network speed??! so you can not see actually data is enabled, just roaming symbol.

  • Upgraded my nexus 5x to nougat via OTA about 2 weeks ago and so far no issues... notification light works fine, no bootloop, battery is about the same, all apps work just fine... But here is the catch....... I bought my phone this year........ in May 2016 so maybe my phone is one from the newer production line and thus does not have any hardware issues... I still think its a software bug and google is not telling us..... i believe its those who upgraded from the beta program that are getting the issue... that my opinion

  • Plz help on this I am facing peculiar issue in NX5. While on roaming (away from home network)...Google Play is not downloading any app (even from hotspot from another roaming no). • Or you could just buy an iPhone 5S?

  • nothing like bro.. its sleek .. i love it

  • I'm also at nougat with no problem whatsoever..actually LG should really focus on this boot loop issue as this is going on for 2/3 years .. Samsung has issues now so as LG so the high-end buyer would go for iPhone which is not good for us the Android lovers

  • I upgraded 3 nexus 5x to nougat and it works great nothing happened why u always make this ... Google said a very small number of it have this problem and this is a hardware problem not software

  • The Mi5 is light years better. It's less buggy than this phone plus it has a huge battery that can last for days.

  • nexus5x vs mi5!! which better? plz help me!!

  • DONT UPGRADE THE OS TO NOUGAT. it will cause boot loop and even after downgrade it will keep boot looping.

  • Google play not downloading any app...though all other data services working..youtube...web...any reason for it..plz help

  • Hi Recently bought Nexus 5x....apps not downloading from play store....how to resolve this...plz help Net working fine for other usage (youtube, web)

  • no ois ...dat's a big problem

  • this phone also boot looping WoW another great LG boot looping product lol

  • I think it's throttling too much while gaming on nougat

  • Nexus5x. Its big and inconvenient to carry around. Battery backup is not good. Performance is not as good as Nexus5 Suggestion to Google. Make a Nexus phone 4" screen need not to be HD, fingerprint possibly in the front side. USBC, battery backup should be good. WiFi N is fine. Single sim or optional dual sim. Built in storage 64GB.

  • Yes, that is supposed to make photos look more natural.

  • nexus 5x. VS htc desire eye , which one would be better ??

  • Go for nexus without any doubt.

  • If u want a smartphone which will keep u happy for 2years then go for Nexus 5x. Redmi 3sprime can't go that long.

  • Do a factory reset plz

  • bought this phone 3 months ago and well, it's a great phone. Great camera, great interface(upgraded to nougat :D). Google and lg nailed it. :D

  • So far it was good quality. I'm using several headphones like sennheiser and beats, and so far the quality is good, better than my old HTC One and LG G3. My only complaint is the loudness which is quite abysmal but I guess its good for your ears lifetime

  • Does anyone seeing the yellowish flash light? shouldn't it be white? searched on the internet. not much about the yellow flash light. is it natural?

  • It has been 5 days since upgraded to Nougat. Battery performance is quite stable and contrary to other comments, my N5X has been able to withstand normal usage until evening without recharging at mid-day. Under less usage, my N5X able to maintain good discharge of battery at max 40% around 7pm. My normal daily usage will be internet, FB, instagram, emails, occasionally little game like freecell. I don't play heavy usage games, maybe that's why battery consumption is good on my phone.

  • I too am interested in this answer. LOVED both my 4 and 5, but the audio jack output was dismal on both of them. REALLY hoping they fixed this problem so I can get reasonable volume out of it!

  • How's the headphone jack audio quality of the nexus 5x? this is basically the only thing that I'm concerned on buying this phone since I usually plug in my earphones alot

  • Nexus 5X all the way! The camera is awesome and the software and the thing you have Android N on it are just amazing! Go for nexus and you will won't regret it!

  • Could u guys tell me ur current SOT and battery consumption for this SOT

  • Agreed. A factory reset before and after a firmware update eliminates most issues. Nougat on my 5x is great.

  • Nexus 5x or Huawei P9 Lite? Which is better and why? Specially the camera and battery performance.

  • After updating to Android N u should do factory data reset to improve the battery life...

  • Got Android N update yesterday in India. First main improvement is battery and buttery smooth. Notifications customization is very useful.

  • Hey Max, ive already told in this forum that battery life has reduced and now u also noticed that..nothing improves the battery life unless they fix this via soft update. Standby consumption is less but Screen's battery consumption is now worse. Previously 1min took 2.07 mAh where as it takes 3mAh right now.im disappointed

  • yep. i got the update. but some not received the update yet. if u cant wait you can enroll google beta program here . you will get the Android 7.0 final version(not the beta version) within seconds.

  • Got Android N update , battery life seems to be reduced when compared to Android M Does cleaning the cache partition or factory reset improves the battery life?

  • Nexus 5X supports JIO

  • its better than huawei p9 lite.. u know why..bcoz i already bought p9 lite.. very dissapointed bcoz of otg not supported

  • Just got the Nougat OTA on my Nexus 5x. Looks good so far.

  • hi guys, i saw that this lg dont hav bds in gps is it important? would luv to own a nxus again ;) thanks

  • You can install some battery saver apps to prolong the battery life. I am using JOOX, Whatapps, Fb, S Health, Camera at the same times, from my experience, my phone's battery can last about 6-7 hours accord to my "heavy" usage, I am users of android 7.0 Nougat and I don't think the battery drain very fast, it depends on how you use it, battery drain fast is common problems for all models of phone, you probably can find similar complaints on others brand phone. You don't need to downgrade to android v6.0 actually, new android always better than the old ones in my humble opinion. At last, LG Nexus 5x is an epic phone, you cannot deny that, as there are so many good reviews on Youtube, Sites and bloggers recommend to this "budgeted phone". For those who intend to purchase, just go ahead, I would suggest go for 32GB model as there is no any micro slim slot if you like to store a lot of pictures and videos etc,

  • is nexus 5x volte?..because i have issues with jio sim

  • Its all because of your thick accent I suppose Mr Arun 😂😂

  • The deal behind these types of phones are simple. If your tired of paying for a leased phone through the carriers (AT&T Sprint Verizon etc...). Then these phone have good enough specs and hit a price point that is affordable without breaking the bank. Example- The Galaxy Note 7 cost around $900 on contract through AT&T. Pay $35 a month for 20 months and keep the phone or pay that for 12 months and return it, barring there is nothing wrong with it, to upgrade to the next new thing. I personally would rather buy a phone outright than have a carrier dictate when I have to upgrade. No this phone isn't the best of the best but it will surely handle what most users need plus you get the newest software before anyone else. I bought (on contract) an LG v10 that I've had for 10 months only for it to Boot Loop death on me. Leaving me with the options of going phoneless for 2-3 weeks while LG fixes it or go ahead pay off the contract and buy a phone that has close to the same or better specs in some aspects off contract.

  • Hi..i need an opinion. Which one would be better..im confuse between 5x and huawei P9 lite.

  • Tks! Can you monitor it and tell me tomorrow also, I'm planing to buy this. That's Why

  • Ok, LG Malaysia do not sell N5X officially here. You can get from online seller such as Lazada or 11th Street. They are quite reliable as I have purchased few phones from them in the past. So far so good. The only question mark is the warranty. Some sellers do not provide any warranty, some provide 1 month. Few provide 1 year, if the unit from official channel.

  • Already updated to Nougat this morning. To your question, my answer will be IMHO, yes, the it looked like battery consumption a bit lower as normally by 12pm, i will get around 40-50%. With normal usage, at 12pm today battery still up at 70%. But this is only first day. Will monitor it again tomorrow again.

  • Both are good that is why u r confused.. Let me streamline it for you. If you like quick updates and security patches, great camera then Nexus. If you like a premium phone with good camera, and flagship grade specs then OP3..I think OP3 would be good if budget is not a problem

  • Nexus 5x or Honor 8?

  • Always prefer to nexus 5x ... Amazing phone not only looks but also perform amazing battery life grt camera .. also android 7 ... Fully loaded..

  • Anyone from Sri Lanka who got 7.0 update? Is there any improvement in battery life?

  • Does EU version support US networks (CDMA)? Cause US version support both GSM and CDMA.

  • Hi, I'm from Malaysia as well. I'd like to know where you bought your Nexus device and hows the performance so far? If its a good phone I wanna buy it for my dad :D Thanks!

  • I'm having an issue with ok Google. When I say ok Google, I'm not receiving audio feedback. It just opens the search, but I can't hear the normal notification sound that Google is activated. The phone vibrates, but no sound. I also reinstall my google app but same problem is coming .Is anyone having this issue? Any 1 help friends

  • m confusing with one plus 3 and nexus 5x ...help me which one i wnt to for. and i dont want lag problem

  • I updated to Android 7.0 a week it got anounced, I signed into the beta program and got the public release version, after downloading and installing, I signed out of the beta program without reverting to android M. In my opinion, I can't be happier about this update, the battery feels to last longer than it did before, I can leave it overnight with a 54% charge and 5 hours later it's at 52%, yesterday I went full charge from the morning until 24% at 7pm, I was using snapchat, instagram, whatsapp, facebook throuhgout the day. Now I barely charge the phone twice a day. The only issue I've seen in the phone is when someone sends me a video in whatsapp, it downloads the video, but doesn't play it even when I touch it, I have to leave the chat and re-enter to play the video. Other than that, it's a great update. Make sure to perform a reset right after Android N is installed on your phone, somehow it put the remaining files to work correctly.

  • Lg nexus 5x is much more ahead than moto g4 plus and gives a much more android using experience.go for nexus 5x anytime.

  • No fix till now.lets see what happens next.. previously on an avg per min SOT consumes 2.07mah where now it's 3.01mah ...Not happy on Android N..also while watching YouTube it gets hot within10

  • Stay in 6.0.1 i am Android N and the battery life sucks in it..the screen consumes more power and so as the Android system and Android OS

  • Got the update today and redownload it again.. while doing a process before restarting to do the update, it reached 70% and gave me an error. I may be the unluckiest person around, what a pain the a.... I may stuck in 6.0.1 forever...

  • I enrolled in beta program & got Android N When I unenroll has to roll back to Android M?

  • It seems Android system & Android OS uses much battery after Android N update Any suggestions? (How to fix)

  • It says SOT - Time on 1h 51m, computed power use 335 mAh.

  • can u plz tell me ur SOT and how much power it consumed for the SOT

  • After upgrading to Android 7 there seems to be a battery draining problem

  • 2 days ago I recieved nortification - system update to Android Nougat (I'm in Bosna and Herzegovina). Update size was 1171.5 mb, so I waited 15 minutes to download it over wifi. Install proces was quick. To be short, I must say I like this system. Battery is much better now. Today I used phone all day, with wifi on, now it's 2 am in the morning and battery is still at 69%. With old sistem, I would have about 40% battery at this time, so maybe I will charge it now every 2 days, we will see. Second thing, there are lot of animations in Nougat and some are slow so phone looks little laggy because of it. But I entered developer mode and turned off animations, now it looks incredible fast. I was hoping that we will get video stabilization with Nougat in 5x, but camera is same as before. I know you can get it if you root phone, but I don't do that.

  • Hmm I'm really from BD.search it hope u will get soon.everything is fine in N specially the notification system but battery runs out bit quickly because of Android system

  • Lg nexus 5x or moto g4 plus?

  • Very good midrange device.

  • same problem hear

  • Guys I need help. Yesterday I finished downloading nougat OTA at night so I decided to install the next day (today). However the notification has gone I can't install it. And checked for updates nothing happens. Any help?

  • i want to buy new smartphone, i'm wondering which one is better between lg nexus 5x and redmi note3 pro?

  • android n is good for nexus 5x battery backup awasome thanks google

  • Received OTA Android 7.0 yesterday here in the Philippines ! It took me allmost 8 hours to download and complete the installation ! using wifi pldt my DSL . Now make sure your battery is full charge before starting also you have to be patient when you start the download DO NOT try to stop it ! You cannot stop it !

  • Bro, are you really from Bangladesh? Me too, you got the update, right? OTA? I didn't get it yet :(

  • Sign in to Android beta program - enrolled it ull get offical update after update in unenrolled from beta program

  • Also the Android system is taking so much battery power after Android N..so I think it's a bug..better guys who still have marshmallow in Nexus 5x, don't upgrade to N yet

  • Nexus 5X users with Android N. Have you noticed that Nexus 5x battery life has gone bad since the update?? when it was on marshmallow I checked that Each minute of SOT takes 2.07 mAh of better on avg whereas now after updating to N it is taking more than 3mAh of battery power with same screen brightness,

  • just wait for the next nexus/pixel phone from google. nexus 5 is plenty for now.

  • Hey everyone Any one tell about 5x how is it i wanna to buy it. ???

  • I am from Malaysia.Just purchase this "flagship" phone 2 days ago, the performance and the camera is extremely good, I really like the 4k video ultra shooting it's very clear and nice. Personally, if you are thinking either 5x or 6p I will recommend going for 5x if you like smaller size inch phone because both phones have similar features this 5,2 inch is very comfortable to hold in one hand for typing and put inside the pocket. And I just recently update to v7.0 Nougat so I cannot tell the performance of battery as I just use v6.0 for 2 days. The update is not automatically coming to your phone, you need to enrol yourself in the android beta program before go to the system update.

  • I am also got ota update for my Nexus 5x but unfortunately I do factory reset. But now still I am not get ota nougat update notification.tell me the reason

  • Got the update today (Lebanon), will download it tomorrow :D

  • I'm from Bangladesh and I also got it.Welcome to the Android N club bro

  • Yes Nexus 5x worth it..I'm using it for couple of months and it runs flawlessly..Android N is also flawless in it.if u r in tight budget then go for it otherwise wait for this year Nexus

  • LG g4 is an awesome phone but it has bootloop problem..search in the web about it.so better go for Nexus 5x..I'm using it for some months

  • official nougat 7.0 for nexus 5x has started rolling out. i'm from india and today morning i got notification for update. the update was 1171mb in size.

  • Do you suggest getting nexus 5x or lg g4? The price is about the same but my main problem is that g4 is a little too big for my.

  • is that worth to "upgrade" my nexus 5 to 5X ? LoL, 2Gb ram to 2 Gb ram. 6P is over budget.

  • for those of you still waiting for the OTA update go to this link: and have your self enrolled in the beta program you'll automatically recieve an update.

  • Guys any 1 got official nougat

  • Nexus 5X 32gb trust me. picturs od 13mpx is 3 - 5mb so...

  • Still waiting for N..

  • Still waiting for Android N in India Has anyone got Android N through OTA? (without enrolling in beta program)

  • Hi Nexus 5x users, can you suggest where can I buy Nexus 5x in UK. Through online or mobile shop and at what price ? Thank you.

  • You need to register your phone online to get an update

  • Battery life has been draining fast since a while. And BTW I still didn't receive Nougat update.

  • Does it has slow motion

  • In 32gb version you will get 24.89gb usable space So definitely go for 32gb

  • I also didn't face the issue

  • I like google real OS, thts why i prefer Nexus phone. any one please tell me - is Asphalt Airborn 8 running smoothly on this phone ?? or not .

  • This phone strikes an overall balance - the screen, the build, the performance, the battery and the price. Not a perfect phone, but definitely above average. Thought of getting 6P at first, but after numerous research, I end up with 5X. Not a single regret ever since. One major deterrence from me getting the 6P is the almost-similar battery life with 5X, but double the price. As an accountant and a student, I'm pretty cost-conscious and always looking for a phone that I can fully customize to my needs, for better efficiency and productivity. It can be a little bit sluggish sometimes, but it might due to the fact I'm using a power saving CPU governor (yes mine rooted with custom ROM and kernel). I always charge my phone when I'm getting a shower and when I'm driving a car, so battery rarely fall below 50℅ charge throughout the day. The not-so-black LCD screen is very apparent during boot up, but unnoticeable during usage. Together with usb type-c, it is definitely an all-rounder mid-range smartphone.

  • On my phone, I see no screen bleeding, I guess it may happen on some devices because of manufacturing defect maybe.

  • Thanks =D

  • Hi all you nexus 5x user, i just wanna ask if this device screen have light bleed? Ive seen youtube video that it has, someone confirm this pls, thnx

  • please help I live in basement my samsung giving me 2 bar network signal, sony is giving 3 signals how is network signals in besement of LG Nexus 5x?any user openion

  • Upgraded to Nougat in Pakistan, lots of Improvement in battery life, New Multitasking features are awesome, The new notification area and control is certainly my most favorite part of the new version. it's good to look at, notifications are neatly stacked and I have more control over each and every app. Really impressed with Android Nougat 7.0 so far :-)

  • Describe average.

  • I am a student my self and I have enjoyed the Nexus 5x 32 Gb phone for 6 months or so. Great value for money. Nice with a clean android version. Choose the 32 gb version.

  • I have had the Nexus 5X 32 Gb for 6 months, real nice phone. I would highly recommend the 32 gb. 16 is not enough because 5-6 gb is used by programs and apps.

  • Yes

  • This Nexus is another disappointment. Slow and with lack of RAM, reloads the desktop often. Good thing is that the price is relatively low. I had two 5s and both had power button broken. One of them had dead batter after 18 months.

  • Which one to buy: Nexus 5x(16GB-200Euro, 32GB-300EURO) or Iphone SE(16GB-380EURO)? Is 16GB enough for a camera use of the phone?

  • Is this phone good for an average user(student) like me?

  • South Korea (the LG company)

  • I own an indian nexus 5x. Plz tell if the nougat update is available in india

  • Two weeks ago I brought a Nexus 5X phone for my developing purpose. Upgraded the version to 6.0.1 when I got the notification from google. After debugging my first application, my phone is restarting several times. Some times it shows only Google name and not booting again. I like Nexus phones but this is big headache for me and I can not do debugging with this Nexus 5X. Heating problem is also there when charging /wifi /mobile data

  • nexus 5x made in which country?

  • Please tell me did the necus 5x received nougat in India. Cause mine is not showing the update

  • It has the ability to charge wireless if you have the wireless charger.. Check wireless charger in google.

  • honor 5x or nexus 5x? pls help!

  • 10.67 GB same as marshmallow, but I found that my used space was about 1GB less, meaning I had a little bit more free space.

  • After Android N update, how much free space is available? (In 16Gb Nexus 5x)

  • bought this phone, upgraded from a moto g 2nd gen. loving it, the HDR camera is good! battery life is ok too. nougat is also a huge improvement with battery life.

  • Did anyone get Nougat updates for nexus 5x yet?

  • Please hit the become a fan button because 543 is very low number for this amazing phone :) Thanks.

  • If the hardware on this Chinese phones is better than nexus (and i don't think so) ... U will win the software on nexus! Chinese software is so bad .. nexus is the best!

  • Nexus 5x

  • Nexus 5x or huawei honor 7 ? pls help

  • Nexus 5x or huawei honor 7 ? pls help

  • Yo! I got it! I am from Pakistan! I think you should join the google developer point and enroll. You will automatically directed to page to enroll your compatible device with Android N. Then within 24 hours, you will receive the update!

  • Hi , I am using Nexus 5x and I did not get Andriod N update. I am from India. Anyone from India got their update?

  • you must be smoking something arent you? Redmi over Nexus ? over NEXUS ? are you for real ? LOL

  • Nexus 5x, Xiaomi Redmi Pro or Lenovo Vibe Shot? Why?

  • Go for nexus anytime. I have people using galaxy nexus,nexus4. These devices are still smoothies. If you are a power user, go for nexus 6p. If budget is limited then Redmi is better choice.

  • Xiaomi Redmi 3 is the best phone.

  • u r wrong

  • really ? you comparing Nexus to a Redmi ? are you alright ?

  • Which phone is better,Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro or Nexus 5x?

  • Which is better Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro or Nexus 5x?

  • I want to know Camera features ??? Of this phone..

  • Are you asking about Nexus 5X or Honor 5X??? For Nexus it's time for Android N not the M

  • no,but I got 7.0 update

  • If you prefer looks then go for the OnePlus x, if you want fast updates and a good performer go for the nexus. Both are great devices

  • No way for one plus x..buy Nexus 5x..I'm using it

  • any one got marshmallow 6.0.2 update for nexus 5x plese tell

  • Should I buy One plus X or Nexus 5X?

  • You can buy from ebay USB and type-c, and than you can plug in your pc

  • Help! Nexus 5x vs Huawei P9 Lite,please

  • Just bought the 32GB version. I have to say I'm very please with the overall performance: fast and stable processor, very good display for an HD, above average battery life, etc. Only thing I can't seem to get right is transferring my music using the USB-C cable... No files are transfered, every time it's the same result. Quite annoying...

  • I can't play asphalt 8 without lag. Why Google why? Why i face when i play that game.

  • No, I found no issues, everything is running buttery smooth and I am getting approx. 30 mins more screen on time.

  • I bought a Nexus 5x last week... Performance are perfect... But the battery life sucks and the front camera also... Back camera is very good ... Please fix the battery life problem

  • Thanks man. Any niggling issues spotted? I didn't update to 5.01, but for battery improvement I would be willing to get Nougat straight away.

  • Oh forgot to add, I had heating issues as well. But I think this is common? Did not see that you posted 14 hours ago. I thought this dead phone was because of some bugs since mine got a lot of notifications sue to a sim change and I figured it over flowed the buffer and some how corrupted the boot loader as it does not even vibrate to turn on or charge. But since you were not having similar issues there before it died I think the problem is somewhere else. Kind of hard to figure out since it dies on the table sitting there and can not revive it. Dread having to pay half the cost of the phone to get the main board replaced because of their own bugs. Great phone and camera and such but to die in less than an year? And then to run around the warranty service which they will if they dont want to do it. Too bad this was not bought at google stores which I hear has much better service but then what about out of warranty service?

  • Same thinh happened to me, but I had changed sims the night before and it started showing a lot of carrier notifications so turned off sound and placed it on the table. Next morning looked to see a bunch of notifications and then went about my business, after finishing morning coffee went to look at the phone and it was blank and dead. tried all the tricks but nothing, had USB debugging turned off so nothing shows up there when connected to a PC either.. The phone is taking some standby power from the meter reading when connected to USB port but not like it is powered on or even standby modes. It is totally dead. I am sure the service center would say water damage even though this phone rarely leaves the house and never in the rain and it mostly just left at home on the desk. Since it rains all the time here, they assume people were taking it with them and it is an easy excuse to not provide warranty service. Replacing the N5 main board costs rs9000 so this would be higher.. But with such ethics I am not sure they wont replace other good parts in the phone with stuff they scavenged like an old battery someone else had replaced so expect major problems to develop after service. Had very bad experiences many times with LG. But others are not much better. Really need to change things.

  • I got the update just a few hours ago (I registered for the beta program to get the update immediately then I unenrolled after I got the update). I can see some improvements in battery life and performance already

  • I have had the 5x for a few months now and I have never had such issuea, it is very possible that you had a defective unit.

  • Anyone updated to Nougat?

  • Hi all , Google Nexus dream mobile of many. My dream phone too . bought 32GB nexus 5x for 32K. though it is pretty costly i bought it. Starting few days i felt very happy as the phone is funtioning properly.and a great time with the most amazing camera and its features. But started facing the problem of heating. Thought it will not be lasted longer. that day .. the day which is last day of my phone. don't know what happened, suddenly the screen became blank. but the phone is funtioning. don't know how to make it work fine. tried to switch off.. that is the last function of that phone. it never turned on again. the service center said it is because of water log problem and it will not come under warranty.. don't know where to go and how to fix. donno how it became water log problem as i never used the phone in rain nor it drowned in any pool. Said to replace the whole PCB ..!! waiting to decide to what to do next. heating issues battery problems screen dim and becoming dark too many issues not a recommended phone.

  • Be careful of Xiaomi phones in the USA. My Redmi 3 Pro doesn't support AT&T or T-Mobile LTE bands. Also will not work with the Google Voice App or the Chase App and one other I found. Otherwise an awesome phone.

  • Which is better, LG Nexus 5x or Xiaomi Redmi Note 3?

  • Great phone, no problems so far. The battery life solely depends on the user itself. I charge it everyday. As for playing pokemon go, it drains the battery fast, considering you're using the GPS, data and the app itself all at the same time. It takes about 1-2 hours to get the battery low at full charge. When i'm merely using Facebook and YouTube, it's longer. The camera quality is not good when you're at a dark place. Better when you're at a well-lit surrounding, as well as during day time.

  • If you looking for overall balance goodness and to future proof (type-c), definitely Nexus 5X. The only area P9 Lite have over Nexus 5X is battery life, so if you looks for battery life alone then P9 Lite.

  • And what happend with your phone?

  • Nexus 5x

  • Nexus 5x vs Huawei P9 Lite,who wons?

  • Try replacing the cable with another oneplus you have. I have nx5 and it works

  • Got my nexus 5x a week ago. I'm upgrading from nexus 5. While I'm overall happy with my purchase, I'm bit confused because this phone isn't as "buttery" smooth as was my nexus 5. Although it's much better than galaxy so that I had but still doesn't matches nexus 5. Has anyone else experienced this?

  • Which one is better Nexus 5x or P9 Lite?

  • Thanks bro

  • go with the 5x, you get front facing speakers, way better battery, better performance, and fast updates from google

  • The a9 has a better display than the 5x but the a9 also has a smaller battery. I would go for the 5x just because it runs stock Android and you will get updates directly from Google.

  • I actually don't use FB so can't say about the first hand experience.but as being a texting guy like u I can assure u that if u want to use the phone for 20hours u will definitely get nearly 4 hours of Screen on Time or even more.and u can charge the phone to 100℅ in 90mins

  • Which one is better htc one a9 or nexus 5x pls say me

  • Thanks bro. what would be the battery backup if i use bbm , messenger fb etc on wifi or 4g ? any guess? because i am more into texting then playing games

  • Don't hesitate too much go for whichever u want. Personally I think Nexus 5x is best in terms of every aspect.whether it is software security camera performance everything.. But if u really like Samsung then go for that.but I don't like glass phones any more coz I have a s7 edge which glass is shattered and in my country they are charging $350 for it.so Jo more glass phones from now on.

  • I charge phone every day, but when I go to bed after one day of use battery is at about 40%. I can squeze 2 days from it if I'm careful, I will call myself normal user...

  • lumia 950xl

  • nexus 5x or A5 2016? i have heard that 5x battery is less lasting thanx a5-2016. and also i have read on many platforms that 5x has touch sensitivity issues if u use 5x while charging. please suggest me which phone should i buy ?

  • htc one a9

  • nexus 5x or p9 lite??? please help me... only quaries can I get nexus 5x 's battery in bangladesh??? please suggest me p9 lite or nexus 5x?

  • Nexus 5x or HTC A9??

  • nexus 5x

  • Oneplus two or Nexus 5x? Same pricepoint

  • I need your opinion guys, should i buy the zenfone 3 5.2" variant or the nexus 5x? thanks

  • it is Subjective so depends on the user. If i use exactly for 24 hours i get 3.5 to 4 hours of SOT or sometimes even 20 mins more. FYI, i don't play games. I mostly do browsing, mail, twitter, whatsapp, and watch lots of video in YoutTube

  • Nexus 5x will get major android update till October 2017 and will get regular monthly security patches at least till October 2018

  • I was on the phone yesterday when I was asked for some contacts detail. So I move handset away from ear to go to the contacts app to get the information and noticed the screen was flashing. Anyone else notice this?

  • Is nexus 5X getting all updates in future, and for how many yeras

  • which is better, the zenfone 3 or the nexus 5x? thanks guys

  • Restart ur phone by pressing the power button for about 10 second will solve the problem .. just press it and wait the phone to vibrate this wil solve all the problem i don't have touch sensitivity problem too i just restart it after updating

  • How is LG Nexus 5X battery Life

  • Where did you buy your Nexus 5x from? Warranty differs from the place of purchase.

  • i had a warranty for 1 year .i bought it from 6 monts ago . & they said that can't give me a new phone to replace the my own phone & even do not refund the money & even charge for the replacement phone .

  • such a disgusted customer care service that google has.

  • i think in this update google tried to rectify that issue of touch sensitivity while charging. No need to worry.

  • Xiaomi mi Max 128 gb..

  • I am using the stock charger and cable but I never use the phone while charging . I all sterted after the August update

  • are you using the stock charger? and if yes; have u experienced any touch sensitivity problems using this phone while charging before that update? because i have heard that most of the users are complaining this issue so may be this new update was to rectify that problem.. and do check it now and tell me if this problem still persist..

  • which phone will be better xiaomi mi5 vs nexus 5x??

  • My 5X does not charge rapidly after the August last update... Must be some new bug. Google look after it please!

  • yes it will work if u buy usb type-c otg cable . i have watched the video at youtube

  • No.

  • is this have a wireless charge?

  • Thnx bro. Really help

  • Bro tell me if i use usb type with c type cable then it would work.or not

  • I'm using Nexus 5x so definitely I will say it's good.LG G4 has bootloop problem and when u will get into this u must have to change ur motherboard.Oneplus 2 is not okay for right now.not a good camera and weight distribution is not good.and I heard good things about honor 7 but never experienced it

  • Thnx ☺👍

  • nexus 5x is better

  • I want to buy a phone.i need you all opinions.please tell me which one is better between nexus5,oneplus2,honor7,n lg g4 dual. Help me friends. Thnx

  • Thanks bro for your time.I'll get mine in a few days so i was just making sure that i'd buy a good phone without drawbacks :)

  • Blindly go for Nexus 5x..even with rs 25000 budget u won't get a better camera than this

  • Hi there, I'm using this device for 2months and I have never had touch sensitivity issue while charging. Talking about heating problem, it gets warm but u can't say it's hot.i don't play games but I do a lot of these things I.e. YouTube, browsing, whatsapp, using different apps.the only time I saw it gets warm while taking pics/videos for more than 5 mins.but that does not feels too warm..also I wanted to share another thing about battery life.in the first 20days I was getting 3hrs SOT with 20hrs usage and now I'm getting 3.5-4hrs SOT with 24hrs to 30hrs usage..that's a great jump in battery performance.

  • are you facing touch sensitivity issues ,using the cell while charging?

  • The galaxy line no longer has a memory card and I'm seeing more and more devices that don't, for whatever reason everyone wants thinner devices (which is dumb because it makes them more vulnerable to flexing caused by putting it in a pocket etc.). I also prefer a memory card but the phone supports OTG which means you can plug a USB-C stick/pen drive into it and offload your memory contents. I don't tend to make a lot of videos unless they're very short a few seconds maybe a minute not much more so I don't really care about lag from cloud storage and 32K internal would hold quite a lot of video if you don't have tons of crap loaded on the phone. I've been looking around to see if anyone is making an extended battery for the 5X, haven't found one yet. While the battery is not intended to be easily user replaceable there is a youtube video on how to do it and it doesn't look bad, the newer 6 phone looks like a giant pain in the a** to change because it's glued in there and there are more bits to remove. Five hundred bucks isn't in my budge t right now and have you seen the size of that monster? No tiny pawed lady is going to be comfortably able to hold a 6 up to the ear for a conversation, I think the newer big phones assume that everyone is going to bluetooth these days. I have a couple of bluetooth but sometimes I have to go back to the handset because I just can't hear the caller on the other side because they mumble, slur their words or there's just too much noise in the background. I have a tablet with only 2 gig RAM and it does fine, my older smart phone also has only 2 gig ram and it still runs fine with what I use it for. If I want to play games I'll buy a 10" tablet with an octacore cpu and 4 gig RAM I play a few games on the phone but anything with tons of graphics and small buttons goes on the tablet.

  • i am planning to buy nexus 5x. I have few queries. 1-I have heard that it has touch sensitivity problems while using during charging. 2-It heats up alot .I am a moderate user and i mostly use bbm ,whatsapp, fb and some times i play coc.so should i worry about it ? Kindly share ur opinions please. here is my email adress : [email protected]

  • Should I buy the Nexus 5X or the Motorola Moto G4?

  • Hows the battery life

  • N5X man! I almost buy the Moto g4 plus but I made a comparison. First is the camera. Though moto g4+ has 16mp.. 5X cam is still way way better *search photos on Instagram*. 2nd the SOC.. Moto has 2015 midrange soc SD617 32gb 4gb ram while 5x has 2015 highend soc SD808 2gb RAM. Always remember that it's not about the RAM but the system on chip *SOC* that really matters when it comes to day to day performance. Therefore 5x wins here. I just purchased mine through amazon. N5X 32gb worth $280. Compare that to moto g4+ $250-$300

  • Heh, i'm deciding between those 2 as well! I think the Moto is great for the price so I'd say you gotta go with that one, for the price. Not sure about the camera on the Moto, but the 5x takes nice pictures, 4k is not so great on it, don't think video in general is too good. It's really up to how much you wanna spend, and it's kind of hard to decide between these 2 (my opinion).

  • Guys please suggest me between Nexus 5x and Moto G4 Plus. My budget is around 15000. My primary need is Camera. Other need is moderate gaming and net surfing. That's it. I want real time performance not specifications. Also Update is not necessary thing for me. So guys please suggest me between these two. Any other suggestions are welcome but Camera must be best within the budget. Thanks

  • No. It's made out of plastic and the speakers honestly suck. Even the speaker on my moto g 3rd generation is better than this one. I still like the phone regardless though and ordered a skin for it.

  • Is nexus 5x have metal body and sterio speaker , dollby sounds.Pl reply

  • I think he was talking about heat.

  • It clearly states 3G outside the USA from all I've read the only place you get 4G is the USA. Who knows if that might change when/if they actually sell to the foreign market with contracts with foreign cell providers and not usa companies like t-mobile etc.

  • In short, the Nexus 5X wins in camera, while the Moto X Play wins in battery.

  • He should put the phone in an anger management program

  • Can anyone compare Nexus 5X with Motorola Moto X Play. Especially in Camera and Battery

  • Nexus has 1080 x 1920 resolution (5.2" screen) iphone 5s 640x1136 pixels 4" screen, nexus has 1gb more ram than iphone 5s, 2700mah battery and stock android. So, if you are familiar with android os, i would personally go with the nexus. Fast updates, and if you are modification freak like me, choose the nexus. Just my 2cents...

  • What is it hitting exactly?

  • which phone is better the apple iphone 5s or lg nexus 5x in terms of hardware and software. ?

  • Everything about this phone is great, Camera is good , But it has over hitting problem .

  • My Nexus 5x seems to drop battery most when taking pictures or using wifi. In standby it's very good. My strategy is to have the phone in airplane mode for 50 mins every hour whilst at work. This seems to get me 2 days battery life. Another thing I noticed is if it does get hot (watching YouTube for 40 mins), it's near the finger print reader. It seem to cool down quickly once exiting the app.

  • Yes it does with an OTG USB C . But it would not work with a micro USB OTG with an adapter.

  • Does nexus 5x support pen drive through usb port???

  • Who uses 3G anymore? :D Anyways battery is brilliant, but I recommend you to buy case for this phone cause it breaks really easily.

  • For normal heavy use, my N5X will last approx one day (i.e. 100% around 7am until 10-20% around 10pm). For light use, can last more than one day (especially if you disconnect your internet).

  • brother 3g work fine?and what about the battery?

  • The comparison is unfair as S6 was billed as top of the gun whereas Nexus 5X is the mid performance handsent. It is like comparing Porsche and your normal Toyota cars.

  • s6 is best

  • Nexua 5x is a nice phone. But LTE option is not working in Pakistan.

  • So lucky to have this handset Nexus 5X ..so light so fast no lags. Almost perfect. I have no complaints using this. So in love with this Nexus 5X. Upgrade to Android N is almost near. But currently having experienced the goodness of developers preview. Loving so much this lightweight handset.

  • Hey guys i would like to know if it is better to buy the sony xperia M5 or the LG Nexus 5x. I'll mainly be using the phone for normal things and then facebook and snapchat. which one is better suited for my description?

  • Yes. There is one superb comfortable way to do this. Just use the stream app. Works perfect!

  • if you need a phone with larger display and good software go with nexus 5x if you need a smaller display and ios device go with iPhone 5s

  • I want to recommend this but having so much trouble with camera app freezing, just stopping when video recording and just black screen with cam shutter button (6gb spare storage left). No use if this keep happening as I use cam quite a lot. V6.0.1 - uk nexus 5x 32gb model. security patch level-5 July 2016. Build no-MTC19Z. Baseband version-M8994F-2.6.32.1.13. Kernel version dated, Wed Jun 18:36:06 UTC 2016

  • Yes where most of the time there is no signal on trains here in UK so useless. I all for local storage and always will be.

  • Which is one best Samsung S6 or Nexus 5x...?

  • I come from Blackberry OS for which this is normal. Is there a way I can load youtube and then have it play in the background whilst I do something else or even turn the screen off?

  • The cloud is okay to supplement good local storage. Try streaming HD video from the cloud on a phone (this one) whose battery loses fast when streaming.

  • Nexus 5x or Apple 5s confused Pl suggest which is better & why?

  • Nexus 5X, based on it's CPU and GPU, maybe consider the Idol if multitasking is really your thing

  • ever heard of the cloud?

  • What should i pick? Alcatel idol 4 or Nexus 5x?

  • No usb cable with phone ... And charger pin is diffrent from other phone...

  • If you have the option to buy 32gb always pick that over 16gb. Today 16gb is the new 8gb. OS is not getting smaller. HD video recording eats memory for breakfast. Add other multimedia. Updates... etc..

  • I have LG Nexus 5X, i'm the most satisty from the Siemens A50 until now. The phone has 2 minuses. 1. No card slot, 2. The USB Type C(it should be a +, but is a -, it's too early and i can't find so many devices compatible with my phone, for example external betteries and so on)

  • It depends on how many resources that specific website needs, the battery life strictly depends on the user's usage. I, for instance, mostly use it for gaming/social network/chat during the day, at night, Is when the phone rests and It keep its charge for the next morning

  • A week back took 5x n it performs well but I felt that its battery is took week while browsing kindly share your opinions

  • Ohh good to know, welcome to android!. Sorry for being rude. Some complain that this phone has a small battery, but the good thing is that this phone is optimized to run Android, and with android Nougat, the battery life will last more than 1 day at light/regular use.

  • This was in flight mode/offline mode and default settings. To me it's good (I've not applied any updates to the phone 6.0.1 etc) but I haven't had an Android phone in so long so I was asking just to have a rough idea what to make of it. One thing I did notice was from 91% to 87% was a lot quicker, this was by web browsing and taking pictures 12 shots. But overall it's been good. It's already encrypted, now just looking into MM settings further.

  • from 10am at 94% to 10pm at 91%, 12 hours have passed, -0.25% of battery drain per hour. And you still ask this is good? I hope you're joking or trolling

  • Nexus 5x or Huawei p9 lite?

  • I charged the phone to 94% this morning 10am(out of box with no settings altered). Left in standby (no sim, no wifi etc), checked again at 10pm and it's 91%. Is this good?

  • Phone is great... Even with 2 GB of ram is great and very fast

  • I received mine earlier. Out of box it was 23% charged, I left it on counter to do something and upon returning it still is on 23%. Granted I haven't stuck my sim in yet.

  • The other issue is that no matter how many GB of ram - this adds to battery drain. That's why iPhone can get away with smaller batteries and still last longer. Android needs a rethink from the ground up. Lot of landfill out there...

  • The phone is VFM. Amazing Camera, no lags, very nice display, and with the below battery tricks after the latest update is super. 1) Disable NFC, Cloud Print, Location Services. Enable Developer Options > Use cooler display colors. You will see battery improvements for sure. I also disable 4G and i am using 3G only because here we do not have everywhere 4G so the phone is looking the network and this reduce the battery life.

  • It is also to do with speed because internal flash memory is loads faster than even class 10 memory card so best if Nexus has big memory next time. Also if folk decide to plonk a big game on the memory card latency happens and causes glitches in game. Often not all of the app is moved to external memory card so if you remove memory card apps can misbehave. This why Nexus use one big block of fast memory like iphone to solve speed/corruption and security issues problems. The drawback is device is more expensive. Cannot wait for next Nexi which should be due to be announced in 6 weeks or thereabouts.

  • Its is not much help but you say last 2-3 years and in that time even the O/S will use more RAM so by then 3GB RAM could be basic requirement. Just 3 years ago smartphones were just working on 512MB RAM now minimum 2GB.

  • Does fingerprint include or not? Idol 4 doent it, but idol 4s has, but it has high price that. Flash plus 2, it would match your price and your spec 3gb, i think.

  • Which one should i pick - Nexus 5x or Alcatel Idol 4? I don't have any specific requirements, though i like listening to music mainly through headphones. I mostly seek a good performance that could last me 2-3 years. I heard about the lags in Nexus 5x and seeing that Idol 4 comes with 3 GB i am thinking of getting it (also the promise of good music quality is very tempting too), but there is overheating issue that Snapdragon 617 processor has (or at least i heard of that) and no Gorilla Glass on Idol 4 (?) (I am not sure about that).... Other similar phones in this price range like Moto G4 Plus or Huawei P9 lite come with 2 GB of RAM in my country. So what could be the best choice for me?

  • select background apps and disable some apps (like facebook etc).

  • A week back took 5x n it performs well but I felt that its battery is took week while browsing kindly share your opinions

  • A week back I took 5X n it performance well but I feel that it's bettery hours to less while browsing n chatting, please share your opinion

  • People saying iPhone limitation see all apps r there and any new app launch frst come on App Store n security n limitation some what u get because of ur own safety n to protect ur card details ur personal data n infact no antivirus software needed . In android options r huge but at same time hang lag insecure android n need more ram to work smooth n eats lots of batery . Like iOS no other software is smooth

  • Hii all Im using lg g3 im thinking to switch to nexus 5x 5x specifications are good but only thing that bothers me is its battery 🔋 so what u guys think should i stay with g3 or switch ?

  • Please help me guys. I am willing to buy nexus 5X But I wanted to know whether it has the applications hide option or not please answer my question Please any of the nexus 5x users Thank you

  • should i buy it it has a nice price i love the specs but is it gonna live for 2-3 years because i want a phone that can do that. THANK U

  • Go blind with nexus 5x....

  • Hey Guys! Should i buy Nexus 5x or HTC A9?

  • It had a fingerprint scanner. It does decent at point and shoot photography. It has 1080p screen. It has the latest Android with better security and controls for apps It has a strong plastic which means it can absorb falls better. The rest comes down to what you need it for.

  • This (32gb) costs 284 eur here now. Consider all the new stuff that is been released, is this still worth buying?

  • Hi BokiVTS, I didn't know the hint of pressing the volume-down button to take a picture, nice! thank you for that info. We all would like to have an sd card slot in this phone, but somehow Google want us to use their cloud services even if we don't. But that's not a problem, you can download 'airdroid' to your phone and easily transfer pictures, music, videos or files from/to your PC, you only need an internet connection/WiFi. Regards,

  • Does it have Video Stabilization or something like Avoiding the Shaky videos?

  • I have Nexus 5x for almost two months. I'm very happy with it, it's fast and simple. I bought it because of camera (photos) and it's really good. There are no any manual controls on camera, all is automatic, but photos are really good, even in bad lighting. Phone have "only" 2GB of ram, but I didn't saw any problem with that, even when I load websites with ton of images, all is great. One of things this phone really need is some stabilization for video, optical or software. I like option of fast starting camera by pressing two times power button, and you can also shoot with volume down-up buttons, what is really practical when you drive bicycle or something like that and have just one hand "free" for phone. There are 3 modes for shooting, no HDR, HDR and HDR+. I don't know what is difference between HDR and HDR+, didn't see any diference in photos. But between no HDR and any HDR mode in lowlight photos, there are big difference. HDR photos have less noise and quality is better, but problem for me in this mode is that colors are too vibrant, and they have too much yellow tint. What I would like for sucessor, little smaller size of phone, maybe 4.8-5" screen, video stabilization any maybe slot for microSD card. Like this I need to transfer photos and videos every month or so to PC and to delete it from phohe, to have space for new one (I have 16GB version).

  • I bought IPhone 6s last year after it was released. Before that I used Nexus 4 for more than two years. I didn't wanted to buy iPhone but my Nexus 4 was broken so I had to. I just gave a try to iPhone so that I could evaluate it as I used to hear a lot about iPhone being called best phone. After my use of iPhone 6s for 8 months, I just got fed up with that because I realized and experienced myself that it's just a hype. You pay a lot and get nothing but an apple which already has a bite ;-). So I sold that iPhone 6s and bought Google Nexus 5X two months ago. According to my experience Google's Nexus phones are best and no one would regret buying it as I did that of iPhone 6s. Google Nexus phones are best smartphones.

  • At the last update some users noticed a performance hit that google has promised to fix at the next update. Has this been fixed?

  • Hi Anonymous, I use the original charger that came in the box to charge it in the office and my home, and for my car I purchased the Aukey CC-T6 36W 2 Port USB Car Charger, it supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0, you can look it up on Amazon it cost me $9.90, also you need to buy a Type-A to Type-C cable, so I purchased an Anker PowerLine USB-C to USB 2.0 also on Amazon ($8.99). With this car charger you can charge 2 phones at the same time, but when you do that, you won't get fast charging, when there is only 1 phone charging, then you'll get fast charging. Either way, it's great to charge two devices at once. Regards,

  • yes it support

  • Look unless you want to have the latest hardware or phone, the Nexus line stays updated at least for two years so yes along with N an O update will be supported by both 6P and 5X and since software support on low end hardware is possible so even P in 2018 would be possible but app support is another story that depends on hardware.

  • Yes it does

  • Hi.LG nexus 5x support fast charging?

  • Which fast charger you use ?

  • I think that you should buy it. This smartphone is the best for his money, 300 euro for 32 gb, he works very very good, and will work good, I think until 2020

  • I heard the HTC M9 is also very good but im going for the nexus haha :P. Thanks a lot!

  • Hi Legolas, Many thanks, you've given great tips and good information. I'm about to buy the nexus! But first many thanks :D

  • Thanks for suggestions . But heard that moto g4 plus has heating issues and nexus 5x has better camera. Also my usage is lite to moderate and special for camera purpose. And my budget is around 15000 so I think that the new nexus 2016 will not fit in it. Any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks

  • You're welcome! I wanted buy a new phone and I've searched almost every detail to limit the options. Gorilla glass was the reason I eliminated p9 lite. Nexus 5x is the best at its price tag, but in my country black color is less available->more expensive than white. (ps.finally got Htc m9 for 50€ more than nexus 5x)

  • Hi AS1, Good to know you're becoming one of the big family of nexus owners, you won't regret purchasing a great phone! Yeah, I did forgot to mention that part, thank to Anonymous fellow who pointed that out. About the call drops, up to this day I haven't had any call drops in my carrier's network. Actually I was in Movistar but they couldn't handle LTE in my phone, so I moved to Cable&Wireless and I'm more than happy with LTE and good coverage. I almost forgot... Even though your carrier say they support LTE (whichever band they use), double check the bands they use, and confirm if their LTE network support the N5X. As I told before, I was in Movistar before owning the N5X, Movistar's band is 28 (700), once I got the phone, it didn't connect to LTE, so I switched to Cable&Wireless (who offered LTE as well, at the same band 28 (700)), and the phone DID connect to LTE. You can purchase a prepaid sim of each carrier of your country and check which connect to LTE on this phone. Regards,

  • Hi Legolas, Thank you for your extensive reply. I think i'll go for the nexus! I dont use my phone very often, only for whats'app, calling, some e-mails and sometimes i make sport photos. Maybe if i've a new phone i will also try pokemon-go :P but it won't be like gaming 24/7. The Huawei has 300mAh battery more than the nexus but i think that won't make a very big difference (3000mAh - 2700mAh). Because a iphone for example has 1500mAh. The gorilla glass is also a plus. I didn't notice the wide network bands, thank for this. I actually red that when you're calling the line drops sometimes. But i guess you don't have this problem? Many thanks!

  • Thanks, almost forget this point. I think i'll go for the nexus, if i put my phone in my backpack when im training its nice to get my phone without scratches out of it :D

  • Ram 2GB Hexacore processor These configuration makes any trouble? 5.2" screen size, 12.3 MP pri. camera and 5 MP sec. Camera Does effect any picture quality? And sensors, are they reliable?

  • Also, I have read that p9 lite screen is simple glass (while nexus 5x has corning gorilla glass 3) so you will have to be more careful with it.

  • Hi AS1 The Nexus 5x covers more network bands than any other phone I've ever seen or owned, both have almost the same specs, except for the sd-card slot of the P9, if you prefer having expandale storage, then this is your pick. Another alternative other than the P9 lite & N5X would be the Samsung A5 (2016), it has almost the same features of the other 2 but has Lollipop in it. I've been using the N5X since March, so far I'm loving the battery life of this device, it usually last more than a day when not in use, and almost half day in use (facebook, whatsapp, snapchat, instagram, some games, web browsing), it charges super fast when connected to a fast charger. My first tip to you is to know for what are you going to use the phone: eg. Media consumer (youtube, netflix, music, and other streaming service), gamer, photography, office/work, all-around (a little of all). Once you choose a way of usage, you can then go for the specs (screen, OS, memory, chipset, storage, network compatibility, etc.) this step depends heavily on taste and likings, and last go for the price. If you need any other advice don't hesitate on contacting me. Regards,

  • Wait for the next Nexus or if you can't wait, get the Moto G4 Plus at a similar price as it's new, too, and runs stock Android as well.

  • Do NOT think about Huawei. Choose between Z5 compact and Nexus 5x. I do not own either of them. But I own Nexus 5. I have owned it for past 2 years and actually got bored of using it BUT it never disappointed me, so I never ended up actually changing it. Meanwhile I had chance of using Galaxy s6 and IPhone 6s plus. IPhone was a good phone but too large for me. As far as Galaxy is concerned, it was a huge disappointment. So sold it within 10 days and I was back to my Nexus. It may not offer superb battery or iPhone camera performance, but its guaranteed you would never regret buying a Nexus.

  • Hello Legolas, I have also the same question. I did some research to those phones but i find it hard to choose. I think the P9 Lite: - Better batery - Dual Sim The nexus 5x: - Google maps etc - Fast upgrades - Cost less Also found the sony xperia z5 compact - Best camera of those 3 but is pretty old so they won't support this phone very long i guess. When i read reviews i see that the nexus scores higher than the p9 lite but has batery problems. Do you have some tips? Or a better alternative. I come from iphone so i don't know much about android phones. So if you could give some tips that would be great!

  • Hey guys I want your suggestions regarding nexus 5x. I am from India. I want to buy a new nexus 5x 16 gb. The price on eBay for new imported is 17000 with 1 year seller warranty and in UK it costs £170 which is around 15000 for new.(I have relative in UK) So guys please suggest me which one to buy From eBay or from UK

  • Hardly worth 300 mate. Prices will go down soon. Just wait for the next Nexus.

  • Since this was released in 2015 and a new model is lurking around the corner, and the fact that it costs 300 eur where I live... Should I still buy this one? I know this is going to get N, but what about the next version that comes in October 2018? In terms of support, specs and everything, is this still worth my 300 euros?

  • I will go with 5X, I just saw it on ebay for $230 brand new

  • I don't mean to be rude, but I recommend you to research both phones first before demanding someone else to do your homework... I can only give you tips on the criteria you should consider before buying a phone, for example, the usage you're meant to use on the phone, memory capacity, battery and such. Regards

  • Do a factory reset, if still slow take it back, phone should be smooth and fast.

  • I want to buy a phone...Huawei p9 lite and lg nexus 5x are my choices...which one should I buy??Any suggestion,,and why???Thanks in advance. .

  • Yes,, it has

  • Nexus 5x or s6edge which phone is better.plz suggest

  • Nexus 5x or s6edge which phone is better.plz suggest

  • 5X, you won't regret

  • 5x or oneplus 2? I need a snappy device with a good camera. I heard 5x camera is the best for the price range. But 2gb ram of this one insists me to rethink about op2. Any suggestions? p.s.: I don't have enough money to buy 6p or op3

  • Thank you! I'm thinking of getting it on black.

  • Go for 5x. I used nexus 5 for an yr. It was awesome. Now planning gor 5x

  • this is proximity sensor issue try a master reset if doesn't help then take it to tech support.

  • While making calls from Nexus5x my screen goes black/off and I am unable to disconnect the call or access dial pad. This is so annoying. I also tried settings -> accessibility -> power button to end call. But still I don't get back the display until the call is disconnected. Please let me know if anyone knows how to fix this problem.

  • I removed system UI tuner and its performance has improved drastically. Thanks anyways to everyone who helped.

  • 5X

  • Does it have dual speakers like htc?

  • Does it have OTG connectivity?

  • Nexus 5x is Brighter display and better software. Nexus 5x has got better specs but m5 is cheaper

  • which one should be better.. Nexus 5x or Htc One M9??

  • Heard that if it falls down the sim tray doesn't work ?is it true ?anyone please answer me ?

  • I am in a confusion which one to take xperia m5 or nexus 5x??which has the better overall performance?

  • Better reset ur phone andbtry again

  • its not true. the nexus 5x has a very fast processor 64bit match with 4g lte cat 6 300/50 mbps. mine wether to use data or wifi its fast in downloading which i compare to my c5 ultra with cat4 150/50 mbps and this nexus 5x is the winner. do the comparison and see with your eyes the big difference in speed. i love this nexus 5x never crossed my mind to sell this out and change to other one.

  • U can't find whatever problem does ur phone have..so better do a factory reset and try again..I hope it will definitely work..

  • Hello. I'm thinking of buying an android phone to use it as secondary device, so I don't want to spend a lot. For the same price, should I get Htc one M8 or Lg nexus 5x? I like more htc but it is kinda old and I worry for updates. Or get another 2016 midrange phone? I'm so confused lol

  • I bought new Nexus 5x, a week ago. I am facing issues with browsing, downloading and playing videos on this brand new phone. Its extremely slow. I am not sure if there is some specific data settings that I am missing or it's a faulty device. Its so slow that it took me hours in downloading and installing a game from playstore. Initially I thought my WiFi is slow but when I checked it on some other phone the speed was fine, so the issue is with Nexus 5x. Can anyone or someone from Nexus guide me on this?

  • j7 2016 or nexus 5??

  • Got my Nexus 5x week ago,and i love it.It is better then iPhone 6,and cost double less.

  • 5X

  • The Nokia 3310 might be the perfect phone for you.

  • Nexus 5X better (http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=7556&idPhone2=5705) than Nexus 5. It can't be worse, it is a newer Google phone to replace Nexus 5. I do not recommend to buy 5X if 5 works well for you because there aren't very big gains. If you can get 5X cheaply or for free, then go ahead to get one.

  • What I love to this phone is the speed of data when browsing and downloading. Incomparable to the ones with 150/50 Mbps speed , this handset has cat 6 300/50mbps that you really feel the speed of data like you are connected to the WiFi. This is the one that I consider when purchasing this handset. It actually more than the basic phone. My nexus 5x is now has the Developer preview for android N and I enjoying it now. Its a total experience for android N developers preview.

  • What kind of instructions are you expexting to come with this phone? Like a giant manual explainig how to senda a text message, how to set contact pictures exc.? I haven seen any phone comming with any instructions other than the standart ones which tell you how to insert the sim and turn the device on. If you don't know how to do something just google it.

  • Budget is not high end spec

  • Guys i have a Nexus 5 , that 5x is better then just 5?

  • I can play nova 3 without lag on my 2013 nexus 5... Big deal lol

  • I wouldn't recommend anyone to go for this phone as this year's nexus 5 gets the full upgrade. A flagship chipset Snapdragon 820/821 or 823 either way it's gonna totally obliterate the 808 which was never flagship grade.. It was an afterthought to the overheating 810. Even the nexus 6 outperforms this in the graphics department.

  • pls go for nexus 5x, because 5x has got 64bit processor and processing speed is faster and current OS and processors arw arround 64.but nexus 6 is 32bit only. the phone having 2GB ram should fair enough to perform well

  • the real dual tone flash color is this not the one you see in huawei or motorola

  • Hello, i am a new nexus 5x user. few moments ago i saw the Dual tone Led flash of this phone is of yellow color. is it normal? how about the color of urs one?

  • I got a Nexus 5X a few months ago and wish I hadn't. It did not come with any instructions, I have had to corral my kids and grandkids when they come to ask them how to do things with it. Some of the things they can't even figure out. e.g. I try to text a picture from the gallery and it won't send. That's a big issue with me. Also, the choices of sounds to signify an incoming text leave a lot to be desired. They are pretty bad. On my old Samsung I had a whistle, which I liked a lot. The least offensive one I could find in these options was a door locking. Anyway, I have invested the money in it, regrettably, and if I can't sell it somewhere, I will live with it for another year or so and get something else. I hope Nexus reads these reviews and attempts to remedy some of the complaints.

  • please someone tell me which is better nexus 5x or samsung a5 ? they are very similar in specifications !!

  • LG Nexus 5x or Apple Iphone 5s?

  • Lol.. My snapdragon 801 (oneplus x) runs buttery smooth despite it is a 2014 chipset and a 32 bit version... It all about optimization that makes a smartphone future prove

  • better go for nexus6 which has high compatible specs than nexus5x. Nexus 6 can hold smooth performance for the software update for more than 2+ years by 820 chip-set than 820.

  • I had a pretty good gaming experience with my 5x.The camera is superb. But the battery remains an issue.Otherwise its a pretty good phone considering the budget.

  • I think you use camera in 4k mode, try to change to FullHD

  • I have a new nexus 5x. Ive been using it only 2 months. Battery started draining so fast. Cant use it more than 6 to 7 hours even after charged fully. And get heated up sometimes too. Please help

  • No SD card slot. No external battery. Doesn't really matter how fast the chipset is if it doesn't even come with the standard features. If I want to be locked in like the iPhone I would have gotten a iPhone.

  • should i buy nexus 5x or nexus 6 ????????????????

  • I have a Nexus 5x 32gb brand new. Just 4 days of use it gets warm during using camera. And the battery drain faster. But I can play nova 3 without any lag.can some one help to overcome the heating and battery drai issues.?

  • Nexus 5X is usually from 280-340 €, not sure about the US market.

  • They have Same chipset. Nexus 5X will get longer updates and doesn't have a UX on it. And because an Android gets faster with every Version (Compared to iOS which gets slower) it will be Faster. But I would personally pick The G4 because every Other things like Camera, Battery, Build quality, bezels etc. are better on it.

  • You mean basically a smaller OP3

  • How is the screen compared to an iPhone in terms of sharpness and color reproduction? ( Don't compare it to an AMOLED)

  • Is there already a price range for this? :)

  • The new Nexus for 2016 let coming with this specs: 1.Display.- 5"inch QHD - Optic AMOLED - CGG 4 2.Memory.- 6 RAM LPDDR4 3.Chipset.- Snapdragon 820 4.Battery.- 3000mAh 5.Alluminium case

  • Moto G4 plus is not good compared to the Nexus 5X It lags sometimes like the LG G3 software issues i guess

  • Buy the 5X It'll last u a long time

  • No problem! :)

  • thank you po :)..this will surely help

  • please any body give my suggestion that can i buy this phone or not? people told me that it has battery issue?

  • Hi! well, i'm also from manila and i must say, there are only few stores which sell the unit. try in eton cyberpod in ortigas or in greenhills. there's also a shop in taft. or better, you can look one up from olx, there you'll see shops posting brand new units and where they are located. i bought mine in eton btw. hope this helps.

  • hey pol i guess i just had the issue with my seller. hope you won't experience what i had experienced. but all in all, the phone is great and i haven't regretted changin to android. i've enjoyed the unit, especially the fingerprint scanner. i already learned how to save more battery life by disabling unnecessary apps and features.

  • Hey guys I bought the Nexus 5x today.Does any suffer from any problem or issue. Till this point its good for me. Will face any problems in the future?

  • Hey I boughy phone today and till this point it's gd but I don't know if I will face any issues later on. Hope I don't .Regards,:)

  • hi mareng clara, i am planning to buy one in Kimstore. i hope i will not experience the issues you are currently experiencing.

  • Hey guys please can someone help me. Im confused wether to buy the nexus 5x or the lg g4. Which should i buy? I want something that has a solid performance plz reply.

  • i already bought the device and though i have not much noticed anything weird aside from the fact that i won't be allowed to update my OS, everything seems to run smoothly. so, i don't regret buying it in the first place. thanks for your answer btw

  • i think we don't have the same shop. but despite that fact, i still feel relieved knowing someone from the ph had the same situation. the shop gave a 3-day replacement period which has already expired. I just wonder why they won't allow us to do the update. i thought it would be like "jailbreaking" the iphone where updates are restricted. but i was thinking that maybe that can't happen on android. so, you're saying that updating won't do harm on my device, right? i'm a little hesitant since i just bought the phone and i'm trying my best to use it properly, but i'll consider the update maybe after a month or so just in case. thanks btw :)

  • So you should not buy that if the seller tells you that. They are maybe correct or not but you cannot even tell if the seller are right or wrong until you update your OS then see for your eyes.

  • oh okay. i'm just scared that something might happen if i start to update this. thanks by the way :)

  • I'm in doubt between nexus 5x 32gb (280€) and p9 lite 3Gb ram (215€).... Which smartphone should I buy? Thanks.

  • Just because of storage capacity, with 16GB you get like 10GB free to use, with 32GB you get like 24GB free to use. If you don't care about little storage capacity, then opt for the 16GB one.

  • They are lying to you, actually updating the phone improves its performance.

  • why 32 gb not 16???

  • why 32 gb not 16?

  • That would be another problem. the seller strictly advised not to update the OS 'cause they said it can damage the unit. i really don't know why. considering this is a nexus phone.

  • nexus 5x or moto g4 or moto g (4th gen?

  • I'm from the Philippines too and I am sure that we bought from the same store, starts with the letter H, right? According to them, they had an "issue" that a yellow tint of the screen got worse after an update, they blamed the update for that. How did I know? I bought a Nexus 5x a month ago and noticed it had a yellowish screen. I updated the software to the latest version and tried if it would solve the issue and it did. The "Cool Color Temparature" from the developer tools solved the yellow tint. However, I decided to request for a replacement 'cause I taught that it would bother me, knowing I had an abnormal screen. They next day, I came back to their store for a replacement. I said it had a yellowish screen and I compared it to my previous phone as a basis. They told me that I should not compare it since they were different phones. Then they asked if I updated it, to which I said yes, they told me that they would not be able to replace it since I updated it. I told them that it was a hardware issue and software is out of the picture here. I knew that they felt that I would not bulge. They opened another box of a 5x, once it booted, I showed them the difference of the screens. They replaced the phone but not the box and accessories. They just swapped the IMEI stickers. I got a new unit without the yellowish screen. :) If your on the replacement period, I suggest that you do not update, for them not to have leverage. I believe that on the issued receipt, that a software update voids the replacement period. In my case, it was overidden but we are not sure if they would be the case everytime. If you're beyond the replacement period, I recommend you to update. Don't listen to them. One of the main reasons that we got a Nexus phone is for timely and quick updates.

  • Try updating the OS version in the phone, it's well known that this phone before Marshmallow v6.01 was bad. Once it's updated, you'll notice a diference, also consider setting manual brigthness (low is good), and turn off bluetooth and wifi when not in use.

  • Nexus 5X

  • Thanks man, i still have some time left to rethink about these things. Cheers dude!

  • i just bought a brand new unit here in the philippines and the issue that really caught my attention is how fast the battery decreases. i researched a lot about 5X before even buying it and based on the reviews, it has good battery life. but 3days after buying the phone i noticed how fast the battery reduces. i can compare it to my 3yr old iphone 4s, they almost have the same battery life. btw i am a moderate user and haven't even tried using the phone for heavy graphic games. the battery lasts for the whole day if used for average of 1 hour mobile data browsing and the remaining hours resting or have the phone do nothing at all because the cellular data itself eats up a lot like 5 mins of it loses up to 2% of my battery. is it normal for this phone to have this performance or should i contact my seller about this? what should i do to save more battery life? is it safe to turn my battery saver after fully charging my phone?

  • Good day! i kinda need an explanation as to why my seller said that the OS should not be updated, for it can damage the unit. that bothered me for the main reason i bought this is because it is nexus plus it is the affordable version compared to 6P. i bought it here in the philippines and fyi this unit is only sold to few stores. i just need to know why. thank you!

  • i just bought mine here in the philippines, brand new. and i noticed how fast the battery reduces. is this normal for this unit? i can compare it to my old iphone 4s which i have been using for 3 years. they almost have the same battery life to think that that iphone is really old. i researched a lot before buying this phone and got a little disappointed with the battery performance because i was expecting more from it. can anyone give any tips for me? i am hoping to get answers from here. thanks! :) ps i'm just a moderate user and got my phone for about 3 days now.

  • Thanks u really helped me I watched amazon again and it was unlocked but thanks for commenting:)

  • go for LG G4-it's features are similar to S6 and 5X but it have Ext micro sd card slot.

  • Buy the Nexus 5x. You won't be sorry with stock Android that get timely updates. I'm moving from a G4 to the 5x. I can't stand all the crap LG puts on their phones.

  • S6 would be my choice :D

  • Yes it will work with either digicel or flow. A lack of LTE won't stop your data service either you'll just have to make do with 3G until digicel brings LTE to you too. -from jamaica

  • Nexus gonna have constant updates, go with that one :) It's just as fresh anyway...

  • 5x

  • nexus 5x or xperia z3+?

  • Been using the 5X for 2 months now. Hands down the best camera package for the price and is a star performer on all fronts. Go for the Nexus if you want the best camera and quick updates. The G s6 if you're a good display junkie.

  • Hi all my fellow geeks.(strange start sorry) i made up my mine that i was going to buy the google nexus 5x soob but before i buy it there is something i need help with im in a island in the carribian called trinidad qnd im not sure if the phone will support my countries sim cards they dont have lte:( Some one pkese answer soon
