At the time I bought it was one of the most taken into account and I liked it a lot. When it was release, it did not have flash on the camera, but it had enough RAM for a Low End of the time (that was what came in the Mid End), and that for me was perfect since I did not use a camera myself the lack of using the flash as flashlight afterwards) But it was a focused device, focused on having maximum performance for a low price, cutting things like flash, (saving on GPS quality that was practically unusable, just claiming it, it was almost better not to have it too, but in defense it was novelty in the devices of the time and new things do not always work well) making the flash and few other things were the difference between more expensive models and him. I admit that if one day came out a slightly newer version of android that relived the use of this device a little, I would update. But I know that the 600MHz processor and the 512Mb of ram would not take account of recent applications, I'll let it rest, it deserves it. Anyway, for the price, it was worth it, today it still calls, I do not use anymore because Android 2.3 does not give nor have how to upgrade to the latest with his hardware. But what does that mean? It was a well-built device, even with me using it for years, until he did not give more account of hardware and software apps he fought, a valuable warrior.

Very good phone. I use it as a mp3 palyer with touchscreen and I aso check mails with it and play simpler games. My daily driver is LG G4 and they are both very good phones(p500 is good for its age).

this phone still works great for 5+ years, no degradation in battery,same cam quality .... this is shows the quality of branded products. i used this phone for 4years and give to my sister she still using it, i bought xiaomi redmi1s,lava ,xiaomi mi4(last phone high spec phone)....these chinese phone did't give me piece of mind, no perfection like lg p500...heating,trouble gps etc....so again i moving to lg x screen, im posting this comment after receiving the lg x screen.....love lg (note: i cooked a 4.0.4 rom for this phone lg otimus one, name: "THE ULTIMATE")

Good smartphone. Really good. I Still using it for a personal reason (With Android 2.2), and it still working in the most of web sites Very simple and easy to use. Acceptable speed. Battery works 100%. Obviously that have troubles of compatibility with many aplications, but it's normal, this phone is about six years old!. Whatever, Whatsapp is still working very well. I knew that in December, 2016, Whatsapp will stop working on this phone, but only if you have 2.2, so if you updated to 2.3, you'll don't have any problem.

This is my 1st smartphone back in the days of Secondary school and it fostered my love for Android devices ever since. It is now April 2016 and I've moved forward to a Galaxy S5, but I still retain this for backup purposes today. Sure Android 2.3, a measly 170MB storage & 600Mhz leaves a lot to be desired, but the Optimus one is still running strong, battery holds charge, wi-fi & bluetooth still works and the thing is still solid as a brick despite never seeing a screen protector or phone case during the 2 years I've used it. If you aren't tech savvy or just want a simple to use yet dependable android phone, pick up one today for the price of a dinner outing. You will not be disappointed. P.S. Do note that due to lack of storage space you won't be able to use many modern apps or update existing ones.

This phone served me well for almost 5 years... And then motherboard died after accidental drop in sea water (I got hit by some dude and me and phone went direct in water :/ ). Last ROM I was using on it was Jelly Bean one (KK frozen and it was unoptimized for ARMv6 CPU)...

As far as my concern this is a old model phone but its internet is working fine in any place in my full AC plant where I am working,but not a single smartphone of reputed brands also not even LG G series in not equal to this phone to even 40% to this phone's performance in internet.Even Youtube plays without buffering

This is indeed a tough phone, dropped it many times, opened beers with it, nothing. I ended up losing it though :/ Also I installed a custom ROM on it (called "void") and was able to go more than 2 weeks without charging when the battery was new. This dropped to about one and a half week after 4 years.

I got this phone secondhand when it was already 4 years old and while it hasn't aged well I have no reason to get rid of it because it still works perfectly. If you need a cheap reliable phone and you find this model on ebay or something I'd say go for it because they seem to be immortal.

What an amazing Phone! Have it since launch and has never failed me. I bought a nexus 5 a year ago and it is now in warranty, back to using this and well it still does almost everything i need , although you need to run older versions of apps. Still fast for what it is , on stock 2.3 ROM

Hi friends, I successfully root my lg P500 v20d (2.3.3) and CWM recovery. When I flash custom rom CM11v11 and tap finish button and reboot system,each time phone displays fastboot mode and stuck. I have tried CM11 v12 also and the same result. Pl. help to succeed custom rom installation.

This was my first Android Phone and it's awesome. It was the best phone back then in the budget segment and I still have it. I have never used a phone like it , it has NO DEFECT. I do not use this phone as my daily driver, however, I used it as my secondary phone. I have replaced the battery after four years of use. Flashed a custom rom (CM11) and it working fine even today. Best VFM phone ever

The best phone I've ever used, it's very durable phone, I dropped it a lot of times, I used it during the rain and while taking shower, I overclocked it to 850Mhz for gaming. It was still work great. Just sadly I bricked it while flashing Cyanogen rom :( Still love LG phones

The limitations of the internal memory can be easily overcome by rooting the phone (very easy to do with the leaked LG service tools), reformatting the MicroSD card, and purchasing and installing Link2SD Plus. I have CyanogenMod 9 (Android 4.0) and over 1GB of apps installed on mine, with room to spare. The official XDA forums have all the resources you will need.

Been using this phone since 2011. Rooted the phone straight away, thus opening the way to installing more recent Android versions by Cyanogenmod. Currently the phone runs Android KiTKat 4.4.4 from the Jenkins repository (Cyanogenmod-based.) It's running very well and gets Jenkins updates OTA ("over the air".) The only "missing" app is the FM Radio ("Spirit FM Radio" worked OK in Android 4.2.2 but it's not supported in 4.4.4 due to lack of suitable libraries.) Another issue is I could not ever find any "Compass" app that works correctly with this phone. I will probably install the Jenkins upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop whenever that becomes available (although I read that Android 5.0 is rather heavy even on current high-end phones, so probably it won't be suitable for the ancient LG-P500 Optimus One, anyway.)

as other user even i have been using this phone since 2011 and till no major issue just one issue is its flash memory is bit low compared to others and in our country Nepal there is a problem of load shedding but this this mobile gives me enough battery life to sustain for 3 day which i like very much and i have seen many hanging problem with other new mobile but despite of being old i dont have any problem with its processing unit and its camera quality is also better than others.

I have used this phone for 3 years and it was perfect for the price and performance in almost all respects for its configuration. The internal storage is too low so could not install a lot of apps that I wanted to. I upgraded to gingerbread almost as soon as I bought it but could not install higher versions. The version did not support storage encryption without which I cannot not get access corporate exchange emails. I also could not upgrade it to a higher version of Android that supports storage encryption. That is the only reason I a changing this phone now. Going in for 2nd Gen Moto G on the launch day today (Bangalore).

Have had this phone since mid 2011 and still going strong. Long in the tooth in some ways, but overall quite a solid, quality phone. Good battery life, easy to work around the small internal memory (Link2SD), and does everything I need it to do. Big radio fan; love that this thing has an FM radio tuner so I don't need to waste precious b/w on streaming. Great community dev support, too. (Kitkat! Though still needs work.) I strongly recommend the Gingerbread Oxygen Rom for stability/good battery life and the Holo launcher for a JB-style layout.

ROBUST. SHOCK-PROOF. THE BEST! This is indeed one of the best model of LG. December 2011-June 2014 Still working great! Dropped a few times, but still great! Long battery life. Although compared to latest models, this has smaller RAM and screen. Because of this, I am now a supporter of LG products. Quality assurance is good. Now, I have recently bought another LG phone. Still expecting high quality! ;-) Salamat LG.

Although a very old model but not at all a piece of crap. My three years old O1 never drop internet signal and you can store most of the apps on SD card and if your phone is rooted you can store almost 90% of the apps in SD card.

I had it for a while and it worked well. It was old but still usable. Don't know why people keep saying it cant move stuff to the micro sd card. I could move most apps to the micro sd card and videos and pictures were automatically stored in the micro sd card

Bought my Optimus One in Feb 2011 and using it continuously. Basic functions are excellent and did not have any soft/hardware problem till now, except the issues below: 1. For price of Rs.11,500 I was hoping to install more apps, but due to the low internal memory, I had to delete all the apps I downloaded. Unable to delete or transfer pre-installed apps to SD card. Now I cannot even update the bloatware due to insufficient memory. Only good app was N-Drive, which I used extensively. Rest all junk, wasting memory. 2.The PC-Suite is not compatible with Mac. So I cannot back-up my data.

Bought this phone as payg Dec 2010 and to be fair it's been both durable and reliable, never had a problem using it. Internal mem however has been poor and promised updates never materialised (tut tut LG). Overall pleased with longevity but think its time to upgrade to a new LG I think. 4.5/5

Actually wasn't a bad phone. Got it when it first came out and was great. they stopped updating it so I had to root the phone and find custom updates myself. the only problem with the phone is it's internal memory, only at 170MB. so even when you swap most of your apps data to your SD card a small portion will stay on the phone's internal and will drasticaly slow it down. 4/5 for the price/durability 1/5 for longevity.

As usual a best phone from LG, no single issue from the day i bought(oct 2010). Cant play good graphic games like candy crush etc., Need to uninstall some apps to use some apps as the memory is low and 3/4th of it comes with pre-installed apps which are not much useful.

Like Uday - had (unlocked) one for 3 years never a problem and still works well. The only slight niggle is the low memory which can become a limitation thanks to the large amount of preloaded bloatware - I need to occasionally unload big updates on Google maps and Facebook (why do companies load this $#@%b that we have to tolerate all throughout a contract?). Have toured US, New Zealand and Australia (home is Canada)and, apart from buying a local SIM for a couple of $$, has worked faultlessly everywhere. Tremendous little phone and will be sad when I have to upgrade when I change my contract in the next month or so.

2 update ur phone as i've done with mine, u hav 2 look up 2.3 update 4 Lg Optimus One, find the koodo mobile website, and it'll give u instructions from there, warning, u will need a pc, plus if phone does not update fully, u will not be able 2 use it until properly updated.

Really a awesome phone. It was ma first smart phone and it completes 3 year for Dec 2013, Till now i dint face any problem with this cell. Superb, camera quality even now if you compare to other mobiles it is pretty good. Only thing is after updating the new version of OS, phone started to shutdown automatically not always but rare.. overall it is very good phone.

I use it for 2 years now. It was OK, great phone for that kind of money. Soon was updated from 2.2 to 2.3 and that was all from LG. The great thing about this budget phone is his potencial to stay in use. Here's how. 1) roote phone; 2) put CM for this device, Andriod 4.1.2; 3) is android menu overclok cpu from 600 to whatever you coud (to me it gives 786) 4) buy class 10 micro SDcard, instal app link2SD and have lot of new internal memory (format card to 2 particion, I put 1gb and rest for data out of 8gb, now I got 54mb free of 200mb internal and 320mg apps instalation out of 1000mb) Only thing that can't change is 3,2'' display.... Don't have to buy new phone for some time now....

Yes,do a factory reset,you have a corrupt software installed somewhere.Check that which application is a common one with your wife s phone delete them in particular and reinstall.

Have you tried backing up your data and resetting the phone? If that doesnt work, I found updating my version of android through my carrier website to work well. Make sure you backup contacts and data before updating as it can erase some data. It made my phone faster and very reliable. (Koodo v2.3.3)

Excelent low budget phone! I have it since May 2012. For 100 Euros I it is a great phone. Battery longs for 1 day or 2 days, depends how intense is the use. Have 1 big problem: it has a low internal memory. It means you cannot have may apps. Even with a root, many apps does not permit instalation in the sd card.

First of all root your machine using rooting software(I preferred "unlockroot23.exe"), then install ROM Manager and Clock Work Mod Recovery and the rom you want to install(Jenkins rom android 4.2.2 RC4 build is almost 99% stable). This without doubt one hell of a device. 2 years 2 months. Still falling in love with this masterpiece day by day. My bad perception about LG changed fully after owning this master piece. Again, as obvious, the only way to fully enjoy this killer machine is to ROOT it. People asking how to install Jellybean, ICS etc., ROOT is the only solution. Having tried almost all ROMS, GingerBread still rules with Battery Life the main consideration. If you can post a question in this site, then you are also capable of searching internet on how to root the phone and apply the custom ROMS. Once rooted, you need to partition the SD card & use Link2SD app to overcome low memory issue. I've installed almost 50 apps (almost half of them heavy) and I still have 90mb free space. Having said all these, I would like to ask one question. Which would be the apt replacement for this master-piece in today's technology(any company)?

I have tested more than 50 different roms of ICS/Jelly bean and my phone has withstand all these tortures without any complain. No I have a sympathy for my 2 year 2month old phone. 2 years & 3 months and still going strong. Now running 2.3.3. The only complaint I have is the low internal memory. That's mainly due to the massive sized updates that applications receive. Other than that, it's been a great experience. The camera's pretty good for a 3 MP and the NDrive GPS works well too. I'll keep this one for another year before getting a new mobile phone.

There is a procedure to install custom roms like ics or jb. i will tell u steps, just google it for more info.. [procedure for 2.3.3] 1. Root ur mobile [ follow method 1 from ] 2. Install Rom manager version 5.0.2.1 from google and open it click on install recovery [1st option] and choose optimus one {DONT choose Optimus one old BB] let it install 3. then click on back up current rom 4. download ics/jb rom and gapps[if need] and install from recovery { we can open recovery by click on boot into recovery in rom manager 5. reboot phone thats it... my lg E900 was dropped in a puddle, hasn't worked without being plugged into charger at all times. (not the ideal mobile phone at present) just got an LG P500 from a friend, it's supposedly on same network (TELUS) every time I insert my old SIM card from puddle phone into my new p500 it shows "NO SERVICE" and any attempt at trying to locate network provider, I'm given an error code and no help when trying this method, please if anyone knows what could be the problem please share your thoughts?

Been using this phone for 2 years and it's going good and strong. I am especially satisfied with it's battery life as it can last for at least 1-1.5 days with relatively heavy usage - in my opinion this is considered good for a smart phone. Internal storage is very low though and the camera isn't the best (no flash and photo quality is not very good). Given the price for the given specs, it is a durable phone and value for money, best for light-medium hp users seeking for a basic smartphone :)

Given when it was released and the price this phone has amazing specs and a HUGE community (still!) providing custom firmware (CyanogenMod, AOSP, AOKP, etc) and support. Such a bad, slow, and very 'dumb' phone. It is so useless when it comes to storage. I've had this phone for just over a year and after about 8 months, my texts started screwing up. Either the phone couldn't send texts, or it couldn't receive texts. (It was the phone, not my network ) What's even worse is that the phone would play up like that for up to 2 weeks. It never fixed over night. (I didn't drop it or anything ) I hated that phone with a passion so I got rid of it. There was no point selling it as no one would buy that useless phone.. It ended up in the bin. Seriously it is so bad.

these roms, made by some developers are very sexy and neat and smooth. but not 100% perfect. they have defects, as ics and jb are not supported officially and as p500 wont have complete requirements to be in such latest roms. GB roms are only trustworthy, like cyanogenmod7 and such "gb" made by the xda devs.

This phone is a lemon. Has hardly any internal memory and as most apps seem to have the requirement to run on internal memory - there is no point downloading apps. Or sending txt either. I have deleted pretty much all of the apps I downloaded (all 5 of them), I have cleared all the caches, I have deleted most of my stored txt and this lemon still tells me I am low on storage. I contacted LG Support and he told me to do all of the things I have already done, then said there is not anything else that can be done. Don't buy this phone.

Your phone memory is full due many programs/games you have installed.Save all your data and then do a factory reset.Then carefully install in phone memory and leave at least 50 mb. Install c cleaner from android mkt into your phone.

The CPU in P500 is not an ARM11 (boy do we wish!). It is an ARM6 and performs like one. Still not a bad little phone for a first time smartphone user. I would still recommend it for someone young, or someone who has never had a smartphone before. Man are these things durable!

Today, when I connected it, it just wouldn't detect the phone. The phone is charging fine via USB... just the PC cannot detect it. I had problems too with playing movies on this phone. But I found a solution. On my pc I installed 'Handbrake'. With this software you can convert a movie to a much smaller file with a lower resolution. Then it plays excellent. A player I like is MX Player. In Handbrake, you need to adjust some settings, so that your movie is played at the right aspect ratio. Good luck!

Used to own this phone. Quite slow, and freeze for a few seconds when running games like Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja. After updating the phone, the window anmations is not as smooth as before. Even if the animation is slow,the transition from one window to another is not smooth. Video playback is also not smooth after updating.

Best phone in its price group (about 150�) i´ve been using it about a year now, and i have rooted it, OC it to 800mHz, updated its kernel and put custom jellybean in, it works like a charm. I dont play so much games with it but worms, inotia4, flick golf and amazing alex runs smoothly and all basic games. i did try quake3 arena in it and that did work too @ 23 fps :)

Been using for past 1 year. Still cant see a better replacement for this at the price range. All the features work fine and battery lasts for more than a day with wifi on 24*7. It is a bit heavier than other phones but i guess that is what makes it durable. Use a god quality screen guard and the touch is as smooth as butter. Lg stock keyboard is one of the best ones but you still dont like it i would suggest swiftkey for that. The phone might get outdated after a while but it would still be working fine. Over all I would give it 8.5/10.

yes, i had upgrade it via pc suite. and it works. dont remove ur battery while upgrading. wait for some time, after the EMERGENCY MODE(YELLOW SCREEN), the phone restarts automatically. and then ur phone wil be upgraded. AND PLZ DONT REMOVE UR BATTERY WHILE UPGRADING. BE PATIENT.

dear i had also faced same prob, but luckily found solution. take battery out for about an hour, then place it again, long press and hold power key until phone is turned on. do it once you will never face such prob again. but remember whenever u have to switch on/off your phone, always long press and hold power key...

There is a kernel that can fix touchscreen problem. it lags because of the cpu and the apps in the background, obviously cloaing apps and having overclocked phone with that kernel is the best possible solution both, for angry birds and in general, hope this helps.

Look there is a kernel that can fix touchscreen problem. it lags because of the cpu and the apps in the background, obviously cloaing apps and having overclocked phone with that kernel is the best possible solution both, for angry birds and in general, hope this helps.

Go to the market and get a app called "aCCleaner" that will clear all your cache in one go so you don`t have to mess about doing each app one by one....You will get a lot of phone memory back....It works fine for me now....Hope this helps....

What it does it does, works as a basic phone but the lack of memory meant i can't have all the apps i want at once, even sd installed apps. LG support told me a solution would be to perform a factory reset, which just removed the apps. Installed the apps again. Same problem. Turns out SD installed apps leave a bit on the phone. When memory gets below 10% remaining, you are unable to send texts.

This is the 3rd replacement phone of the same one under warranty and it doesn't vibrate on texts and the keyboard won't turn sideways and it freezes every day and the key board goes blank with no letters every now and then. Don't buy one unless you plan to replace it every month.

Yes I too encountered the problem of power button and volume rocker... they replaced tht little component of power button free f cost... now its 5 months nd no problems encountered.. but the same problem of my volume rocker ws resolved by cleanin those areas by the serviceman.. This phon collects too much dust..even i need to clean it periodicallly, the inside of the screen.. But these r just small problems... Im happy with its perfomance.. It does vry useful fr the money i paid!

@Jaja, Evn I had the same prob with the Power button and later on with the volume rocker as well maybe after 6 months of usage I got it repaired free of cost under warranty. I think all those parts is getting worn out too fast... Now I am using the app to turn off the screen with a single click and to turn on the back button....Ya it was really annoyin at time u need to switch off the phone and it wouldnt and switching on also was a pain..I think LG using cheapo plastics oout there(Budget Phone na) @ Vinayak. Evn i got notificiation to update the firmware ..But i have not because I have rooted my phone and don wanna loose that status after upgrading..(Rootin gives a hell lot benefits-moving app to sd card,uninstallng the systems apps like IRCTC,infant vaccine and stuff like that) so now i am having more than 50 apps installed and still 60 MB free. I've had this phone for 7 months already and I haven't really encountered any software problems from it since I upgraded it to GB, but I'm having problems with my power button. Its starting to wear off on me. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Im planning to get it fixed on an LG service center because its still under warranty, but I'm afraid it might take up a month before it gets returned to me. And I cant go out a day without a phone, I use it almost every minute of the day by making calls, email, texting and music. Now I'm using the search button to wake my phone and I downloaded an app to turn off the screen. I'm afraid that one day my phone would run out of juice and I wont be able to turn it on because the power button wont be working anymore. right now I'm already planning to buy an Optimus Black. I'm hoping I wont encounter the same problems with the OB. But I'm still waiting for my Optimus One to reach the most a year old before I buy a new phone. :)

I've been using LG Optimus One - P500 since more than a year and a half. Upgraded to Android V2.3, all's good. In each and every aspect its worth the money I spent. No problem till date but sadly LG has stopped that product. If you're getting it, I'd still suggest you go for it.

i love how my lg optimus acts with custom roms . as far as i tried: been using ICS 4.0.4 but the prob is lag in playing videos. now im using android 2.3.7 custom rom from xda dev. which is the best pick i found so far. games runs super smooth. i also tried ios roms which which gives an iphone look and feel.. i have downloaded at least 5 kinds of roms. and as soon as i get bored i flash it with the other roms... of course your phone must be rooted and has recovery installed... try visiting xda site. and u can type lg p500 xda at google.. enjoy custom roms and surely you love your android phone more..

dnt buy the htc explorer it only has 90mb of internal memory.... n if u hvnt used an android let me tell you small internal memory is really a problem.... most of apps like google maps..facebook app..few ims n themes cant be moved to sd card...even the apps which are on sd card takes some amount of memory on fone.... 160mb on p500 gets reduced to 150mb after updating to v2.3 also the battery sucks in explorer..... better hv a look at other fones....atleast 200mb of int. memory should be there...which is also not quite sufficient

first the internal memory is too low. that u dont recieve any more text msgs once the memo is full!! 2. it is slow, apps response lags. try angry birds! 3. ringtone is low. 4. volume goes up and down on its own! i dont know if i touch anything or how it happens, it gets low all of a sudden. other stuff are not perfect like there is no flash, no secondary cam, touch is not highly sensitive but all these stuff u can cope with because it is a low price phone.

I have had this phone for a month and i can say that this is an AMAZING phone for the price! I had an iphone before and realsitically speaking the lg beats it hands down in most areas. Its performance is fantastic, apps install and run seamlessly. And since its on android, the tweaks and features are endlesss.... As someone said before, it does everything a good phone should do.

For those who want to update the system to Android 2.3 WARNING! As the software says you might lose some applications and software on the phone so make a backup or make a note of your apps and reinstall them after the update finishes. : 1. Visit the official lg website and download LG PC Suite and install it, 2. Once installed open it and follow the steps needed to complete the installation and go to tools and select "Phone software update" 3. Follow the onscreen instructions until the software update application appears in that screen it will search the phone and after finding it it will let you use the "Start update" button.

Very nice phone. First thing you do: Install a recovery image, and a custom ROM. Any one that you pick will be better then the stock ROM. This phone has it's own section on the XDA forums, so start there. GPS is nice an accurate. Battery life for me seems to be about 1 day of heavy use (wireless, games, etc..) and 2 days of light use (texting, call or 2). I got mine for $150 CAD unlocked. You might find one cheaper on auction sites. There are certainly better phones for the price, and if you pay a little more you can get better, but it's a good started smartphone.

Very competitive in terms of specifications compared to other branded android phones. The only drawback for a phone of this price range is that it has only one speaker, one at the ear piece, which also plays your music loud and that's why the calls are not clear. Granted they are very loud but the clarity is not good enough. Hear shshhhh... sound with the caller's voice sometimes, so it doesn't matter how loud the call is. For business calls, you don't want to frequently ask the caller/client to repeat what he said. I am mentioning this since it is missing in the gsmarena review and hope that this aspect is included in its future reviews.

Pros: - clear sound Cons: - small ringtone volume - unresponsive touchscreen - laggy android UI - slow startup & contact list read speed Also please take note of these little things that can't be changed via settings: - it plays a not-so-short android tune at phone startup along with an animation that can't be skipped - the phone vibrates in an annoying way (it calls itself "haptic feedback") when you're unlocking the phone from the lock screen (similar to iphone) which can't even be turned off under the "haptic feedback" setting, go figure - when the battery is under 20% it'll occasionally play a notification tune that can't be turned off unless you put the phone into silent mode, which could be useful, you know, if the silent mode didn't mute all other sounds. - and the worst part? excuse me, but the out-of-battery tune sounds like you're farting, literally. And it's even louder than the ringtones, and it'll likely startle you and your peers (in maybe more than one way). Bottom line: do not buy, at all cost. I would've never bought this were it not for some android apps I needed to test. Thanks for reading.

Hi Piya! I've been using the LG 500 for 1 year already. What you are experiencing might be due to feature of the phone - it does not "switch off" right away. So after using it just push the power button lightly so it will go to standbye mode. If you dont do this the phone is still active and if you put it in your pocket or purse it will power on and will likely open some programs or applications without you knowing it.

dear friend you have to check your phone battery. my one have 1500 mAh battery. you have to charge your phone at lest 8 hour by switch off your phone for first time. and charge with original lg charger do not use any other cable to charge. yes. what ever you have heard is right. I have missed many days my morning alarm. I had to find alternative source for reliable morning alarm. Also lound speaker quality is very bad. So headset is must.

Dear Sir/Madam I have just bought the LG P500 3G Mobile phone last week but am geting the problem of battery, it is only last for 4 to 5 hours from the time charged. I have tryed to follow all your instractions in your manual book but nothing goes helpfull. The shop I bought the phone tryed to change the battery but experiencing the same problems. i think your youtube is latest version...so it takes too many time...uninstall update version.....old version youtube is best for 2g network.... alternatively,you can download "youtube remote" app..this is very quick for 2g network...

Friends i am using this phone from past two months.I am facing problme that my youtube is buffering continuesly,it buffers to every 20 seconds.I tried all sim cards with 2g and 3g network but not worked.Other hand when i checked my friends mobile like samsung galaxy pop and galaxy 3 they playing youtube fine even in 2g network with 0 seconds buffrin? I am now with android 2.3 gingerbread.What should i do ? Is anyone facing this problem? PLEASE HELP !

K guys u can update the os to 2.3.7 by rooting ur phone and dwnload the cynamod final rom of 2.3.7 from xda-developers site and follow the instructions to do it and one more thing the new ics 4.0 rom is also but in that rom everything is fine xcept that camera doesnt work
