LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE - User Reviews

  • How long is the battery life of this watch ....and I feel some heat while I wear it

  • NFC and Android Pay works as a charm in Europe version

  • Lg urbane 2nd edition better than sport and I even sold my apple watch 3 non LTE cant compete with the standalone lg looking forward to lg next gen watches

  • best smartwatch ever, battery still better than on the lg sport

  • I also have the AT&T version. NFC does work if using ota not sideloaded though.

  • Alex are you running the verizon or Att version. I can not get mine to turn on. I have att version

  • You can buy the band from

  • After a few months the smartwatch stopped showing the charging progress ring when charging. The ring used to rotate when the watch was left on a table. I don't know how this happened. Any ideas?

  • Hi, ihave the same problam did you solve it?

  • the watch has an nfc chip onboard the chipset however this is disabled in android wear v1.x. Hopefully android pay will make its way onto this watch when V2.0 is released.

  • It does, but only with Android Ware 2 (when it arrives)

  • The LG Urbane 2 LTE does NOT have NFC support. I spoke with LG customer support today, 02/28, and verified that the watch does not have NFC capability.

  • Download Android wear apps

  • Although the specifications are great, the bands are the problem. The bands will be defective after several month usage guys. Be aware of that. You cannot find the strap in anywhere. It is the biggest problem with this watch. I have one, want to sell. Living in UK.

  • There's a will there's a way

  • You cannot replace the band because there is an antenna inside for the LTE connection.

  • hi everybody; i am using that watch and so happy with it. But i couldnt solve the language problem. I try to reply my whatsapp messages by talk-write in turkish but the watch cant recognize my language, it translate directly english words... Is there any solution about it?

  • hi babak, i bought this watch only for LTE Support and long lasting battery life. and about my issue with broken band, i fixed it with a special glue that just made for plastic. it is okay now but i don't know how long it will be.

  • you cant do anything even there is no extra band on amazon too so i think lg hasnt released extra acceossories for this watch yet. you had to buy other smartwatch like moto360 or gear s2 instead, why have you bought sth which is rare in iran?

  • So stupid. If you don't need nobody else needs, grow up kid.

  • mine is broken too!!!! just today! and there is no extra band to order in here (iran) what should we do now ?

  • Works on all models, but not cheap.

  • Band broke after 5 months of normal use ( has antennas in it so pretty important) lg australia didnt want to know fair enough as you cant buy it here .. LG USA also didnt want to know (people i spoke to didnt know hardly anything about the watch nor could they find out after waiting on the phone for them checking with other staff)- couldnt even direct me to where i could buy a replacement strap even tho it should be covered by LG - guess they dont back their products.. cant buy a replacement band anywhere no support for this watch anywhere i can see. "OK google"function doesn't work... does look good tho..lol expensive lemon IMHO

  • Go to watch settings, bluetooth and tick voice over BT.

  • Got my LGW200 smart watch last week and still struggling to use it. Can paired with my Samsung Galaxy Note N7000, Samsung Tab A SM-P355, and Huawei P9 but it can't sync with any as the Bluetooth in the Watch can't detect the mobile devices. Other than receiving and making call, LGW200 can't access my contact lists. I have unpaired and restarted all the props many times but same problem. Contacted LG Support in different countries but they claim the problem is not the Watch which is unlikely as I have tried with different devices and different brand. Seems like compatibility issue for LG.

  • I have LG Urbane 2nd Edition W200K. I am using this in Pakistan with Warid Network. Can anyone help me since i cannot get call notifications on my phone ? I am using nexus 5 for pairing the watch which is not LTE supported. Really need help what needs to be done to sort it out.

  • I have this watch, it's great watch but, I can use the mobile network yet!, the thing is in LG told me that don't have the software can help the watch work in this area, Latin-AmericaI, 'm from Ecuador and i'll would like to know if someone here has the same problem and solution. Thank You.

  • In the specification of LG Urbane LTE it states that it has NFC. Is that correct, if so how do i activate the NFC? LB

  • Unlocked version W200 can be used in India only with UMTS 2100 yes I think. You gonna check with your telco what band are they current hold. Please refer to Unfortunately LTE 1800(B1) and LTE 2100(B3) are not supported in India. Refer to

  • Can Urbane W200A unlocked version used in INDIAN cellular Networks Please SOMEONE reply

  • Got the verizon model 2 weeks ago. Wanted a fancy watch with stand alone capabilities when I was going out. I live in NYC where signal strength should be great. It is not on this watch. Loses calls, notification occasionally, not what it's supposed to do. My gear s blows it away. Not as pretty, but reliable. If I lose signal, when it returns I receive all my notifications and missed calls. Just returned urbane, and I will wait till a better, more stable, reliable stand alone gear wear watch is offered. LTE alone don't cut it.

  • I purchased 3 days ago.... Did not work out of the box... Bluetooth continued to drop. LTE would not work... Tried second watch from Verizon, same issues.... Wanted to have this work badly, Verizon was on with LG Tech Suport and they were not able to get either of the 2 watches to work... Returned for full refund, will look at again in the future if LG can deliver a solid product...it looks good but that is all....

  • I used to be able to talk-text with the watch....now it just tells me "trying". I don't know if its Google that's the problem or what.

  • First smartgadget ever. Wasn't a fan of the omission from AT&T that the pairing feature in this watch also meant you had to add another line to the contract! ಠ_ಠ However, I've kept it and so far the shared data hasn't really affected my plan and you can put a data limit in the settings. The talking is clear and had used it on a bluetooth earbud, but the speaker/mic is loud enough to hear/talk while driving. The onboard LG Health, and the dedicated button is a bit of a nag and I wished that I could re-purpose it as a hotkey for another app. The band is big and clunky, and if you're thin wristed as I am the watchface and rear bezel fits fine but the band doesn't. I figure a velcro/nylon band should let it fit better. Would like to try it in a metro area where Big Blue's signal is more superior and report back but that won't be for a while; as long as one is in a 4G area the watch works fine.

  • Also not able to call my watch phone number directly.

  • I'm in the same boat with Tech Support not able to remediate the problems. I've had mine for 8 days and ready to return this. Tired of having to reboot the phone in order to be able to make a call...about 50% of the time.

  • There are 2 versions in the US. Verizon(W200V) and AT&T(W200A). Verizon is $499 full price and AT&T is $360. The AT&T version is GSM and can use 3G networks in Europe also.

  • Just a remark about the price category of 270 EUR — it should be around 309 USD, right? Because I can only find it for north of 600 USD. At this point I'm hoping the price listed here is right and I'm searching the wrong online stores.

  • There are many locations where where is no 3G signal (like my apartment building). If you want to send/receive valls, must have 4G.

  • Yes I have a SIM in the watch. I use a truphone prepaid SIM. The watch can make calls/texts on its own if needed using the watch's number, but when I leave my phone behind I pair the watch to the phone through cellular data. This way I still receive notifications/texts from the phone and reply to the phones texts.

  • hi. did you put sim card in to work without phone?

  • The Verizon version works well . The issue with Verizon has been in the activation process. Verizon appears to have been has been activating these watches as Bluetooth only, and not LTE.The Verizon rep who activates this watch has to be sure to uncheck the "block voice and data"provisions on the system.Once that is done, the watch performs like a champ.

  • I have had the AT&T version of this watch since last November and have not had issues. I've been tracking runs with GPS for 4 months using Endomondo and Ghostracer so it does have GPS. I can also send/receive texts and make calls when I leave the phone behind. It seems people have had more issues with the Verizon version.

  • oh , are you sure you got the 2nd generation of the Urban 2 .The first urban 2 was indeed faulty. Maybe it has to do with the network why they Not work. What i don't like on the Samsung Gear 2 you can not make calls !!!! What is that?I had the apple watch i have often telephoned about the watch. In a Samsung is a NoGo .Huawei Watch also can make calls.

  • Trust me you do not want this watch

  • I have had the Verizon edition of this watch for 3 days now. Do yourself a favor. Do not buy this thing. I had waited and waited for this device to be available. As soon as my Verizon store had I got it. It has been noting but trouble. It has connection issues when working independently. Talked to Verizon technical support and they have no clue. Talked to LG they have less of a clue. The watch has no gps, no NFC. The only independent function it has is calling. None of the Google services work when it is in independent mode. Was told that the watch can take up to 3 minutes just go get a signal. I am going back to my Samsung gear S2 it may only run Tizen but at least it works.

  • LTE is the new Mobile standart . In cities , the smaller LTE better. So far, the Watch can receive all the frequencies if needed.

  • its really useful when we have expensive phones and dont want rubbers steal them so we use smartwatches but i agree lower price is better. band are good too. i have mi band too but smartwatch is far better

  • Hi, I also want this watch. I've heard that the delivery begins end of May. The U.S. mobile providers accept pre-orders. In Europe, there is still no confirmation.

  • who needs lte on watch ?

  • I'm waiting for it I can't belive I will get red of the smartphones weight finally

  • Hi I really want this watch where can I buy it from please help

  • I think smart watch manufacturers should produce some with limited features and at lower prices. Many of the smartphone features are bettter used and accessible from smartphone or tablets. Up to date I have limited myself to purchasing a smart band, because festures in the smart band is what makes sense to be oiut of the phone such as monitoring sleep and movement.

  • Depends on how you use the watch. Apps I have include Wear Media to play my 1 GB of music stored on the watch through bluetooth and Endomondo/Ghostracer to track my runs using GPS while listening to music through bluetooth without having to carry a phone. My calls are forwarded to the watch and I am paired through LTE so I still receive/send SMS from my phone when I leave the phone at home.

  • Hello, long time reader... 1st time contributer. as an owner of the original 2015 release of this watch (when it was first released for only 6 days), I can attest that my version works on every carrier including Verizon, where this new one only works on AT&T. This is why I feel that LG cancelled their sale took them back because most carriers (probably Verizon) were upset that they (user) can take the watch and move it around from carrier to carrier. this is only my personal opinion from experience as a real, current owner and daily user of the first gen watch, and also a tinker'r and hacker of wear software for use on android and bb passport

  • What kid of apps you need on watch? You have a mobile phone for that or tablet. You cant play game on watch you cant run internet watch youtube and so on. Its just nice decorative item. But in case of phone are useless. My opinion.

  • To store the OS and any apps you might run on it?

  • Grats watch with 4gb memory for what? Its shows date time and thats it. Useless overpriced piece of something brown and smelly.

  • Its almost back...at least in the USA. Available for pre-order on AT&T

  • This watch is going to be relaunched 2nd half of 2016

  • Like a Ford Model T compares to a Ford Mondeo.

  • i agree. i was able to get one the 2nd day it was released and i love it. dont know if i should return it.

  • LG have withdraw this watch from sale as of today, 20th Nov 2015, with no indication if it will ever go back on sale. The are indicating "hardware issues" as the cause of the withdrawl. Some people actually have the watches. LG need to indicate what the hardware issue is to allow these people to decide wether to keep their watches or not!

  • You should update the watch description. This watch is not yet released anywhere (unfortunatelly). Can't wait to get my hands on this ... hope LG doesn't keep us waiting much longer.

  • You´re wrong, the one you say is the first versión this is the second one and still is not released

  • This product is released as a limited edition only LTE It was released only in Korea. but you can import it from there. The cost of the watch is about 999$ - 1252$ it still pretty high price. The watch still have a very limited downloadable applications and it does not supports some languages such as "Arabic" Pros: Nice design Battery specification Capacity Long-Lasting Battery 700mAh circular display P-OLED Display (320x320, 245PPI) CPU Qualcomm® SnapdragonTM400, 1.2GHZ OS LG Wearable Platform Bluetooth BT4.0 WI-FI 802.11 b/g/n+ Memory 4GB RAM 1GB Camera Sensor 9-Axis (Gyoro, Accelerometer, Compass) PPG (Heart rate monitor) Cons US network disabled (possible only communication using the only wireless LAN) SIM card is not built-in Barometer A-GPS/GNSS Add-on NFC support Straps Non-Changeable This product is currently not shipping in the UK

  • if somebody know the price of this beautiful smartwatch ???

  • samsung gear S2 is DEAD on the water!

  • I know if it runs Android Wear you can "theme" everything you like.

  • MR.GUY, even circular screen's resolution is measured by height X width 2014 Moto 360 = 320 X 290 1.6 inch (diameter) = 205 PPI Lg G watch R = 320 X 320 1.3 inch (diameter, i own one) = 348 PPI Samsung Gear S2 = 360 X 360 1.2 inch (diameter) = 424.26 PPI and they have corrected it G Watch Urbane 2nd edition = 480 X 480 so the ppi across the screen (diameter) is now calculated for 484 ppi ppi is pixel per inch, as long as the screen has an area, whether its circle, square, rectangle or triangle, pixel density can be calculated i hope you "understand" now what "ppi" means

  • I'm sure Android Wear can do themes, too. I had the Samsung Gear 2 (Tizen) before and I was able to download lots of themes (watch faces) from the app store. ;)

  • About the wrong resolution guy...that's circular display not rectangular...

  • can anyone enlighten me please as the usefulness of these 'watches'? how does this compare to a decent reliable swiss-made watch?

  • Are these watches from Samsung and LG themeable? I mean can you make your own themes or do you have to do with what manufacturers give you?

  • either the resolution is wrong, or the ppi calculation is wrong

  • as opposed to buying a bog standard watch which can cost just as much depending on the brand?? i get where your coming from but for some people this is useful....

  • Will consider for a non Mobile connection version which hopefully thinner.

  • What a retarded way to waste a couple hundred bucks. Nice specs for a watch, but its still just a watch.

  • its nice

  • wow really awesome this smart watch so much. I need LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition. I want to buy it. Who know the price please tell me??????
