i am using this phone past 2 years so i am well known about all function this consist only 865 mb app memory it indicate u cannot install more than 12 application and after 2 month u have to reset your phone because performance decreses day by day . all feature is given above about camera is that it has worst picture quality 12 mp= 5 mp of samsung phone if we are talking about it is good but reset is necessary and u have to buy an memory card because it storage is limited.

magnus actually good... with have less number of apps. now days 1 gb ram also not enough and very less app memory. if we install many apps its get hang badly. poor performance, its never give 12 mp quality images. its is good phone 2 year ago but not now. better way i suggest dont go for micromax, karban, lava, Gionee ,xiomi brand, they never give picture quality,and performance with processor and ram.best way sony ,samsung,htc

Hi everyone.. --- solving magnus storage problem--- -at first backup all file on this phone. -then reset factory settings. -then storage space available (.89gb) then you can install many apps... but you can't switch off the phone.In switch off mode it create junk file and decease available space.

I suggest to all that this phone does not deserve a penny of it.Internal memory is very low followed by phone storage.Body looks very cheap(no surprise as it is micromax).Display is OK.You cannot run heavy apps like asphalt 8 on it due to it's only 1.27 GB internal.Android version 4.2 I.e a kind of outdated.Sometimes it hangs a lot.You have had more options in this price range.

bro check the device memory in file manager the and press the left touch in botton touch pad it shows show hidden file choose this and then go to dcim folder u will get thumbnail this is the reason behind memory loss in the phone so delete it u will get full of ur memory...

I used Micromax Canvas Magnus (A117) for almost 1 years 8 months (Nov. 2013-June 2015) and purchased cost was 15k. From the day one I was disappointed with camera quality, heating problem, unwanted loaded games (which has virus), upgrade problem, power backup and high cost. In June, 2015, my mobile screen broken and I went to Micromax service center and ask for repairing. The person said blue color mobile screen is not available in stock then I said go with other color, he said it will be around 5,500 cost to change the screen. Then I realize that I made a big mistake by choosing Micromax mobile. I would suggest to you go with other mobiles, but don't go with Micromax. Worst mobile of my life.....No no no no to Micromax. Better to go with China mobile or some other local mobiles, but don't waste your money on Micromax.

I've been using the Mmx Canvas Magnus A117 for last 1.3 years (April 2014 onwards). Perfectly happy with the device in all aspects, except the apps memory space limitation. Battery lasts one full day with regular phone usage + GPRS + some music + minimal gaming activities, no complaints in that department. But space available for app installation is limited to 1GB which gets filled up quite fast and forced to uninstall some apps not in use !

dear friend, i am using A117 for long and found it very good. i have downloaded apps of about 500 mb memory and it shows the entire 1gb of phone storage full. i have 8 gb external sd card also in it. after restoring factory settings entire 1 gb of memory remains for a few days and later it starts getting full without downloading anything extra. please help and advice.

I am using micromax magnus A117 for more than 14 months and I must say there is no issue with this phone...its working superb.... 1.Camera quality is good but zooming is not so..But video quality in hd is awesum.. 2. Processor is gud 3.Problem is internal app storage space just 1 gb but 2 things u can do move apps to sd card and still having problem rooting is next option.But I will recommend 2 one only if u know dis really well. 4.Battery normal usage is gud but extensive usage drain out within 2-3 hours 5. No new update still running on jellybean.

This issue in my case is resolved by doing the two changes. A) Try if you changing the storage to internal SD card amd restart. B) If you have any SD card which is old ,format it or put a new SD card. Most likely this issue is due to problem with SD card. C) Another reason could be the case or the silicone cover used which can distort the touch senstivity. Try using the phone by charging without any of these for a week or so. Try these 70% success rate.

It is very very dissapointing that Micromax do not have Accessories and even Covers for its P650 superb Tab. I bought this piece on april 25th'14 .within 10 days i charged this phone on different charger and saw all screen fluctuations on the screen .i went to service station and got it changed absolutely free .since i had no problem with it till now .i sugest people to handle their handset with care .i like this device .touch is good .battery is good as long as v.less internet is used as long as 6 hrs with 2 hrs of continues calls.this devices has drawback that inbuilt memory is more occupied with unnessary application so whenever its loaded with high graphic games and desire apps ,it runs out on inbuilt memory.rest all good .mm u rock with this device with such affordable price .plz release update version to ur old device ie : 4.4.2.

My experience with Canvas Magnus. Do not bet your hard earned money on this one. I would not recommend anyone to buy this product. After buying the smartphone, in just two weeks the power button broke, luckily was fixed by taking a weeks time, by the service center. Then the touch problems started, I was unable to stop the alarm, was unable to pick the call or disconnect, typing messages just hits all the wrong keys and host of touch related and other problems, like auto moving icons in the home screen, wifi signal reception is not good, speaker volume fluctuates, system ui not responding etc. The touch problems were intermittent but definitely happened so many times in a day leading to huge frustration. Going back to the service center produced no results since they just gave back the phone in a couple of days saying that there are no issues even though I have mentioned that the touch problems are intermittent and definitely happens throughout. You just have to keep pressing the power button to lock the screen and then unlock again multiple times in order to get the touch to work correctly again. Service center is going to be a bad experience. There are occasional restarts during calls, or even call drops. Even with the quad turbo processing power, you can see the lag with the popular games like subway surfer or temple run at times.

I ignored and purchased A117 after 11 month my touchscreen one part not functional without any reason. Service center service is not fast. They replaced with new touchscreen and what i found that there is dust particles and finger print on touchscreen & LCD. other problem is sometime calls came and i want to receive call that time touch screen became non responsive.

Battery life is ok may be 2000 mah is the reson .1gb for app tht is a big draw back but apart from this phone work so smooth. I had pit my hands on nokia sony htc lg. Have been using this phone for close to 13 months, two gripes have been 1) erroneous charging, I have set the phone to Auto Shutdown and Auto Switch On daily, that has sorted the issue, 2) Limitation on the 1 GB allocation for the apps, which is holding up update of the existing apps, had this been set as 2 GB for the apps and 1 GB of user space that would have been quite useful.

Hi friends I have been using this mobile for more than a year , i got it on Nov 13.Till now i have not faced any problem and its going great.Some three months ago the mobile fell from 5 feet height while in driving , battery , back cover everything scattered i thought its gone my goodness its functioning normally till today.Of course i had the strong flip cover.Apart from the alumunimum back everything fine.I am satsified with the mobile.I have a loaded many apps yet no signs of hang .i am not a heavy gamer so not tried into that.After the fall may be once or twice mobile restarted on its own.Thanks guys have a nice day

i think micromax service is very bad. though it has provided various androids of very good specifications at low rates compare to others.. bt it has bad service. Even if you had bought a phone on the very day and if u noticed any problem with in a week.. they dont even provide the replacement of new handset. and if u submit ur mobile for changing parts it will take minimum one month.. and maximum time all victims know that.. i myself got my A117 after a month from service centre.. and they had changed touch screen with slightly tilted. when i asked them they replied it cant be repaired further. if they ll try touch screen might got damaged. therefore i ll say others not to buy this phones.

He told me that your mobile phone will solve issue till 15 days but now completed above 45 days from thieir hand. I'm continue contact with thier and meet their again and again but he is not responding positive and finally he told me. Your service is very bad. I'm very frustrat last two months but you are not responding positive. I'll not suggest your phone for my friends and family members. As many others reported, I have also had the same issue, all of sudden the touch buttons stopped working. Because of this I had to go for their service center and come to know about the worst part of micromax. They ask for 7-10 working days to fix the issue. I don't understand how come some1 ask for 7-10 days to fix a mobile phone. What am I supposed to do during.!! When I reported the same on their facebook wall, instead of responding to the complaint, they simply deleted it.

Value for money is what my experience till date about Micromax Canvas Maganus A117, purchased almost 8 months back. The sound effects are absolutely wonderful. So far so good.. Minor issues I am facing are 1.The space running out in the inbuilt memory while installing app. in spite of available in built space. 2. The video player gets stuck while playing some videos 3. This phone do not have the strength to bear a small fall unlike nokia which is sturdy. It opens into two pieces even in a small fall.

I have brought this phone one month after its official release and must it has kept me satisfied till now. One of the best phones ever. Ya their is that sound fluctuation prob but that is only when u have not put on the speakers. And why ignore the 3D and bass booster settings available in the music player. Micromax music player is one of the top 7 best players in its category. I would highly recommend this phone, its enough for our college days. And miss monika if you play @round with your phone in water or just throw it from huge height then i guess any hand set might get weird. So stop giving the wrong idea to other people.

I purchased it from a mobile shop and it is working greatly.camera is good and videos are recorded in FHD (1080P). But after 6 or 7 months i got a problem with the capacitive buttons. They were suffering from phantom key presses. The capacitive buttobs were working on its own. Gave the phone for service. They said that we have to replace touchscreen. And they said that i dont have to pay money because i didn't damaged it.i was a bit scared about service. After 5 days rhey called me and said that your phone has been replaced and after a day i received a courier and when i opened the box i saw that they gave me blue color smartphone instead of my whitw and the phone was working like a charm so cheers

Few months back the phone got dropped on road from my trousers while cycling, thought camera and display gone gone gone, to my surprise display just got scratched, thanx to the screen guard nothing happened to the display, but the camera guard was slightly cracked, but shooted pics no problem at all. I am an unfortunate costumer of Micromax Canvas Magnus A117. i purchased it on 5.3.2014 through snapdeal. in the 1st month itself showed some complaint like storage space running out. that was resolved by service center by re installing the software. for another two month passed without much heavy trouble. again same problem of storage space running out shows. then i contacted the service center they were not aware of the cause behind the issue. they said they can only re install the software. they cannot answer question regarding the internal space, in specification it was shown that internal space is 2GB, whereas the space used to install apps and software is only below 1GB.so i done a factory reset and solved the issue for the time being. on 4.8 2014 its sensors in the lower part stopped working, there by the functions of return and short cut and home screen do not work,needless to say touch screen is working though it shows some slow response.so on 05.08.2014 i handed over the phone to service center M/s TechBeam, they informed me to weight for 15 days its board has to be replaced, then i contacted the customer care they informed 20 days, unfortunately it took 42 days to return the phone the reason conveyed by the service center is that they are not getting spares from the company they also directed contact the company. after repair i received the phone on 16.9.2014, but within 2 hours the phone showed the same complaint if forced re deposit the phone with the same service center. there after i was frequently contacting the customer care over mail and phone. the reply always is stereo typed we handed over the case to the concerned team and asked to wait patiently, already iwaited 52 days still asking me to wait patiently. even my request for replacement phone also not responded. so this is my appeal to any prospective purchaser of micromax that you will get this sort of support from micromax so think 100 times before purchasing any micro max producr

There is a solution for increasing incoming call volume for this phone. I myself was facing call and music volume issue. I managed to solve it by below steps. Below are the steps to do it (Do it on ur own risk). 1. Download MTK engineer mode application from google playstore 2. Open MTK engineer mode app. Scroll right till u get "hardware testing" --> Audio 3. Open "Normal mode". Set Max Vol 0~160 = 160 - From "type" select sph and configure below values for levels level 0=100 level 1=110 level 2=120 level 3=130 level 4=140 level 5=150 level 6=158 - Again, from "type" select "sph2" and configure below values for levels level 0=100 level 1=110 level 2=120 level 3=130 level 4=140 level 5=150 level 6=158 Again, from "type" select "Mic" and configure below values for levels level 0=255 level 1=255 level 2=255 level 3=255 level 4=255 level 5=255 level 6=255 4. Hit back--> go to "headset mode" and repeat the exact same steps as mentioned above for this mode as well 5. hit back--> go to "Loudspeaker mode" and repeat the exact same steps as mentioned above for this mode as well. 6. Exit the engineering mode app. 7. Go to call button and press the options button. You will see a popup to go in call settings menu 8. Go in call settings --> other settings. Uncheck "noise reduction" 9. exit everything and reboot the phone. After reboot, u will feel the difference in call volume, quality and notice that music fluctuation is gone

Hi, For those who have reported problems with home keys eratically working or not working at all, please note that it is a common touch screen problem with this A117 model. The only permanent solution is to replace the Touch screen. A cost effective way is to install software home keys for phones out of warranty. Regards

Finally when I called Cust care for touch screen now they are telling it will take 20-25 days more to dispatch the touch screen. Amazing!!!!!!! All their representatives don�t have etiquettes of communication. They all are rude and careless. They dont care about customer. So, conclusion is this Micromax providing very poor quality in the Handsets and worst after sale service. Plz dont waste your money. Dont think that these are budgeted phone. Hey, Iam user of this phone from last 7months and I'm a fully satisfued customer and coming to the advantages and disadvantages: Advantages: 1. IPS display and Good resolution 2. Superb Rear 12mp Camera (low light images are quite blur but can manage with it) 3. 1.5 ghz quad core processor which is simply awesome 4. Smooth running of apps and Not at all lag 5. Good Alluminium Body Disadvantages: 1. Front Camera 2mp it really is kind of sucks! 2. Quite low battery backup 3. No magnetic sensor Coming to my experience of this phone: This is a awesome phone, back camera 12mp is awesome in day light and in low light quite blurr but is best in the price range of 20k phones.Then to its durability this phone is having protection of display or not I don't know but is quite strong because many times I have put it down from stairs but also rocks!Coming to its video recording the phone has good flash and aupports 720p but actually it supports full HD recording. If you are looking for a phone under 20k I suggest you nexus 4 or Canvas magnus. Don't go for Samsung models at all they are making phones on the name of their brand an most of samsung phones are now the biggest hangs.

So I request all A117 user that be aware about this mobile. Also remember that service center will asked you to submit mobile. After that forget about mobile. They will not give you mobile back. You will visit service center over and over and finally left mobile. This is happen with many customer. But in India, people are just cry instead of filing FIR or complain in consumer court. Even bunch of people cry in customer care, but none of them have courage to break one single glass of service center.

Though its has Internal 4GB (2.6 GB user available) whatever u download goes to phone memory which is not accessible and though the default memory is external memory card the date related to apps goes in phone memory making operations very difficult. I bought canvas juice A177 mobile, within 2 weeks i got display problem. After 20 days also i didnt get my mobile back. Every time they will say it will take 4 more days. I could be over simplifying the problem here. Still, try these, Remove all the aps you have used in the last 2 months to card or better still uninstall 2. Clear the cache regularly 3. In the aps regularly remove both the cache and the data simultaneously. 4 Google junk ap are easy to identify ,do it and fry them, Take back up all video audio and image content and restart the phone will be good for another year now

I have been using this as a second phone for more than 5 months now. My other phone is note 3. Some basic observations, Note is getting constantly updated, unfortunately there are no such fixes from Mmax till now. But for the money spent, Micromax is doing a good job till date, i have been vigilant in pushing most of the Aps to the card, still it lags some time after you finish the call!! Second, can any one tell me how to silence the dial-key pad sound, without putting the ringer to mute. Its very painful, my familiarity only with touch-viz in Samsung. MMX has not given separate sound setting if any is present please let me know. On the camera setting does magnus offer digital image stabilizer? Please give suggestions

I am facing a problem. The internal memory is getting invaded. Transferring to SD card, uninstalling did not stop this. Doing a factory reset without backing up the settings for the apps even resulted in nothing. At least 500mb of memory is theft away by some unknown reason. Can anybody help me?

Here's the thing.. Magnus is a good phone. It is good for daily purpose and it really nice to hold it either... Itdoes not run all the games smoothly like asphalt 8 at high graphics but its Fps falls at high graphics but it is playable.. Camera is not the best but at days it really show good picture quality, Well thats expected at this price range. Some peoply just got problem in their lower buttons(menu,home,back).. I faced the same problem ,well i am facing it now also but thats because of the screen guard. When i removed the screen guard all the butoons worked well, people who are facing the same problem can use navigation bar as the screen is big so navigation bar will be fine.. Sound quality is not soo good at speakrs and its very low,but i can be increased from engineering mode or with some custom roms... At the end , I really like this phone as u get awesome featurs in the phone under 13k .. I might show some problems but it is not such big deals ,as all phones shows some problems ... it nevers lags unless u are playing the heaviest games..but the phone is worth buying..

If bottom buttons are not working , its a problem of full touch screen digitizer , so go to service center. Even I came over this same problem. After replacing touch now my mobile is working excellent.

My Micromx A117 is not working properly the bottom three buttons in phone ( home, back and other one) are not responsive. I tried sevral approaches factory reset and uninsatlling apps , removing memory card etc. In this process i found the back button worked in two three times but in that cases normal touch screen creating problem. Finally the touch screen is working but the below three butttons still not responsive. What should I do now. Should I go to Cutomer care or is there any approach to correct this problem. Somebody says it may be due to moisture as these days lots of moisture in the air. Please suggest :(

Please think before going ahead with micromax, as I am already suffering from purchasing this phone.. its been 2 months of purchase and more than 1 month it is with micromax service center. I have given twice for service center as the home key touch buttons problem still unresolved. And micromax is not giving me refund or replacement for this even after asking many times. They tell you have to wait for another 20 to 25 days of minimum standard working days for your mobile and no other options.

After using magnus for nearly 3 months....excellent ph ...camera is excellent ...for problem many people facing is image become white...for them pls check if u fail to remove plastic coating over camera lens u will not get good image in day light...i also face same problem but after removing plastic coating i amaze to see excellent fotos in day light..jst give a try.....heating issue is there due to aluminium back....heavy games run smoothly....overall good product at 12.7 k

How to utilize internal SD ? Currently Internal SD is showing 1.44 GB Free out of 1.61 GB but on the other part, phone storage is 135MB free out of 1008MB . I have moved some apps to External SD. i bought micro max A117(blue) from snap deal in Feb 2014 i got the phone with in 4 days of ordering but last night i switched off my phone and i was unable to switch on my phone and when i went to micro max service center they told me the display is blank they found some liquid damage display & even they showed me a little green dot of that near the charger point i cant understand that what the hell is that .As the told me that it was defect from liquid but it was never happened that my phone contacted with water. they showed me copper sulphate on charging point it deposits moisture from the air or due to sub standard accessories, if was coated with silver then it never happend so its purely sub standard accessories it was very clear that water never touchs my phpone A117 it is purely upon the micro max who gave me defective hand set or snap deal its being of 4 moths i buy this phone .i can prove that it was not a liquid damage . moreover the behavior of you service center employees was very rude and vulgar .

I had brought this phone, this phone is good. It beats the camera of xperia M of 8mp which is not even comparable to moto E. Second, this set out put clarity and sound is not that effective and input sound is okay kind, you wont get that sound effect like HTC mobiles. I felt response good and at first when I brought the set head set was not get sound later I tried fix to pc and started hearing it...I and refixed back to phone it started to work. Some not but currently it is working fine. I feel the sound out and in put must have increased...... Overall it is good product. I have been using almost 2 months for now....

Have 2 phones for the same model, One is blue which is working fine, Another is White which sucks. The screen of white A117 phone has a bulge and hence the screenguard doesnot stay on it. Blue model has a flat screen. The camera quality of both the models is different. White phone gets heated in normal outside temperature. There are a lot of touch issues, which arise occasionally hence you will get irritated but wont be able toe xplain it to the service centre. They will inturn give you hard time with the service(its my exp). Battery wont stay up for more than 8 hours in 3g including standby and would last upto 10 hrs in 2g. Stay away from white phone.. Blue model is better.

This is the very good phone for the price and one of the master piece from micromax. It will be fulfilled with kitkat update. I want to clarify few things which people here complains. 1. Heating issue. There is no heating issue. Device tends release the heat generated when cpu usage is high while playing games for example. This is the law all devices do the same the only different is we have the alluminium which makes you feel more of heat. In reality this is very good for a mobile phone to release the heat easily. This is not a problem with the handset. 2. Camera is bad ? No not at all, in fact it is much better than what you think. open your camera and select the sharpness to low then you take the picture and see the difference. I have taken pictures even while travelling in car and believe me it is very clear as if the picture was taken by me stand still. 3. Battery is low ? This is absolutely based on the individual users or at least you should be know how android works. People tends to keep the apps open and they never close it. This phone easily handles multitasking so if you dont close any app by exiting it properly then it is going to suck your battery. I have seen people keeping games in background. use greenify and see the magic. for me it last around 24 hrs with medium to heavy usage. Final verdict in one word - AWESOME PHONE for those who know how to use the Android OS.

Nice HD screen, good processor, but headphones got spoiled suddenly within one month of purchase.After showing the spoiled headphones of canvas magnus to the micromax service centre i had had to wait 10 days to get them replaced under warrenty, those replaced headphones also got spoiled within another one month. So iam unhappy with the product accessories. A phone worth 13.5k giving problems within one month was a big letdown.

I purchased this mobile around 15 days back, and Iam observing below problems,can some one help me on this? 1.Some times the display goes off when iam in a call and i had to power on the mobile again(faced this for a couple of time now) 2. When the battery is low say something around 20%, unable to make calls as the mobile gets automatically swiched off when the call gets connected. :( If you have faced similiar kind of problems or else you already know the overcomings please help me.

I have purchased Micromax Magnus in November 2013. I have listed out the pros and cons based on my experience till date. Pros: 1. 1.5 Gz processor is too good for browsing (faster then Samsung Grand and S3) 2. Touch screen is the highlight of this device. Its very smooth 3. Design is pretty cool with aluminium finish. 4. Price is very less when compared to over rated phones like Grand and S3 Cons: 1. Sound fluctuates whilst playing audio (But there is a solution for this, you just need to go the music player and make the 3D sound effect equalizer set to zero) 2. 12 MP camera is not up to the mark, but the quality of pics captured are okay. Overall verdict- Magnus is value for your money phone, people you can buy this phone if you are looking for a nice smart phone with rich features within 12k... Keep up the good work Micromax!

I bought this micromax canvas magnus a117 b4 1 month there are no heating problem,touch problem but if u open the camera in places having low light the frame rate is vry low so u shld nt shake the phone in places where there is low light. there is no problem in sound it vry clear. this mobile is cheap nd its worth for itz prise. this mobile can handle any games like nfs most wanted, six guns, fifa 14,asphalt 8 etc......... tnx to micromax for giving such a awsome device for a vry low phice. :)

I have faced a new problem with this fon recently. Using with 2 sims in it.... if one sim have 3G signals for net then the networks of second sim has disappeared.i.e i m using BSNL 3G sim in one slot and airtel sim on onother slot...while i m using bsnl 3g airtel's sim network(signal) disaapear. For canvas a117 voice flexuation I have a solution 1.backup all ur contacts and personal data from he phone 2.switch off ur device 3.then press vol up and power button at the same time you will get one window with andriod symbol 4.click power button once again 5.by using volume down button select wipe data reset / 6.press option button(left of home button) 7.after reset go up and click reboot system 8.then click option button the problem is solved it works 100% to me

I got magnus in Feb. The only embarrasing drawback is fluctuating sound volume in speakers. Though the problems seems common very among on all users, I haven't heard any perfect solution for this. I dont want to risk installing Rom as it may make the phone totally waste. I wonder dont MMX read customer reviews and can provide some solution? guys, on monday 14/04/2014 i bought mmx canvas magnus. on the first day the WIFI got connected with my modem. but the next morning not. sometimes its getting connected and sometimes not. my other two phones are getting connected always. i have found one thing when the modem gets switched off, then after nearly 2 or 3 hours only the WIFI gets connected. but immediately not and in other places such as malls, theatres the WIFI gets connected. The phone works excellent in 3g network to 3.13.2 mega pix camera does is job well.... camera quality is best in day light n u can record full hd videos but the quality is not that good in low lights 4.the gps of the phone works just great and can take u any where u want exactly 5.the only issue I face with the phone is its battery life and Micromax should upgrade it to 3000mah atleast On The other hand I have dropped my phone many times since the day I bought it but it just works flawlessly n for all those who think the phone is not sturdy enough just try it..... Hi guys!! I am writing the review of a phone for the first time. I got my hands on this one 3 weeks ago. Before purchasing it i did a lot of research about it and being satisfied i finally bought it. Let me share my experience using this cell with u without using much technical jargons: Stylish look. Build quality is good specially the blue varient and its a light wt device. It has got aluminium back cover which looks good. U won't b able to find a good flip cover for this device so u will have to satisfy urself with a back cover only. It does heat up sometimes on heavy usage. Its performance is quite smooth. U can play HQ videos without facing any problem. U can play high end games without any lag. Speaking abt camera front camera is just ok bt what will dissapoint u the most is the rear camera...though its a 12 mp camera still the image quality what u will get will be near to 8 mp camera of a samsung device. 2000 mah battery is not that good it shud hv bn atleast 2500mah. If u r a a heavy user then for u it will b like using it near a charging port. As for me i always put it on charjing when i m not using it. screen resolution is damn too good. Tell u what b4 purchasing it i went thru its specifications and found them to b beating the specifications of some of the high priced renowned brand devices....yes ofcourse it does. For me a smartphone with such specifications in this price range(14000/-) is really a good deal. For those who r brand concious might not like this bt its really a good phone if u can compromise with some minor issues. As for now so far so good....plz let me know if this review ws helpful for u. hello I didn't know while purchasing that display is different in blue and white models of canvas magnus. In blue its LED with touch pad. And its soooo fragile that its breakes even falling form two feet height only. I have faced this problem recently. Now at store they are asking 7000Rs to repair it, whereas it costs only 2300Rs in white piece. Cheaters......!!!!!

I have been using this since Dec13. Good phone with value for money. Following are observations. i. 12MP camera quality is not upto mark. Can't compete with 12MP of Samsung. ii. Screen goes blank sometime without unknown reason. iii. 2G works only in SIM2. If 2G sim card inserted in SIM1, it doesnt work. Seems SIM1 for 3G and SIM2 for 2G-EDGE.

thats the app..now after installation u must have got superuser request..select yes..then select any of the 3 options for audio (i chose super audio quality) then reboot. Now go to Settings>Music Effects and change "music effects" to "Viper4AndroidFX" again reboot. This will solve ur problem :D

hey Vikas!! If u still have sound fluctuation problem, download and install viper's audio. Just google it. It is just a 7MB file. This is an apk file..so u have to install it on ur phone..it has solved the sound fluctuation problem on my magnus..hope it works for u too :D

it worked perfectly on my pc (i have ethernet connection). and it is very helpful to download bigger games without using costly 3g connection. well, then i suggest u this: first connect usb internet, then go to network sharing center > adapter settings. it will show your phone besides the ethernet. it will show that ur phone is "identifying". now share the ethernet after ur phone is identified. {don't share ethernet before identifying ur phone}

Just because it has got 'wireless display' in the settings, it doesn't mean the mobile supports miracast. It is mandatory but not sufficient condition to do miracasting. This is a technology based on wifi-direct protocol, which is not present in the mobile. It is currently available only in much expensive models.

No. That feature is available in devices which has wifi-direct. AFAIK no mmax phones, not even Knight has this feature.

Once you connect your phone to the pc via USB cable take Settings->wireless and networks(more)->tethering and hotspot->USB tethering. Tethering is also avialble for wifi if your pc supports it.

don't listen to the folks saying that this phone has display, sound, camera, screen problems. those people are mad.this phone is awesome. this problems isn't happening to me. sound is clearer and camera is gr8........ it is not a phone its a superphone :D..... but the only problem is the battery draining problem but it happens to many smart phones its natural for those who run heavy games and use internet rapidly....... so i recommend this phone to everyone.

The mmx magnus offers a 5 inch display i.e. 0.3 inches more than xolo play.due to this the ppi is greater on xolo play. mmx magnus offers a better camera of 12 megapixels. both record hd videos but xolo play records it at 1080@ 30fps whereas micromax does it at 720 @ 30 fps. also of the available RAM for usage mmx has more ram available for usage. but xolo play is a nvidia tegra 3 device which means it is optimised for gaming. it did run some high end game like nova3 which didn't run on the mmx magnus. magnus supports otg whereas xolo play doesn't. If you are more into gaming then go for xolo play. but if high end gaming on mobile doesn't matter much than go with mmx canvas magnus.

I bought this phone on 28th Jan 14...I felt to say thanks to guys reviews...I read it and bought this phone.... Coming to the phone... 1.Phone till now, never lag(earlier I used quartro..Its sucks) 2.Games..nice to play games...touch is smooth...its attracting me to play lot 3.battery.....we can get one day....I will not ON "DATA"all the time, I will on when required...thing is if your heavy data user, this one not for you...it will come more or less 16 hrs.... for day 1hr data usage will lead to 1 day battery for sure. 4.Camera:- Not bad...I dont expect more for 12000..fine 5.weight:- I felt it is more weighed then 116HD.ok handy 6.Sound:- i felt little fluctuations at first..I change some setting in the Equalizer...now its fine...Outside speaker can be audible for 1 BHK house!!! 7.Screen:- Super!! 8.Back cover:- It is too difficult to remove at first...believe me I tried 10 mins to remove..grow ur nail guys!!! later its fine... 9.Apps can be transferred to SD card..time god! so No problem with Internal memory. 10.Notification light covered with phone cover, light can be visible but not that much bright as 116HD..I dont know whether it is advantage or Dis...because it will irritate to see red light in 116HD. 11.Mijor advantage is U can keep 3000mAhs battery for this...see all 116HD batteries will fit...so u can get full day with 3G I guess!! 12. Happy to have...But need to check the durability!! By the way I got it from flip cart for 11770Rs...10% cash back I got!!Cheers... 13.Ok now back drops I felt it is same 116HD phone with back cover and little hardware change... 14.UI(user interface)...need to improve like Samsung touch wig..for now can be manageable 15.Charger and cable are china quality... build quality of charger is like 70rs charger which we will get in phone shops...and its taking 3 hrs to charge 16.Date cable length is small...its depends on where is ur plug board located... for me I am fearing when my phone will fall down. 17. Ear phones...its really scrape...I never used.....I like small buds...its having bigger buds and we cant keep in ears...I just hate it..I have Samsung ear phone I am using that!!! 18.One bug is, When on the Gesture control...Notification light will blink, I dont know whether it is bug or notification... 19.Still on 4.2.1...when we will get 4.4?? 20. Camera bulged...same like 116HD I think this is good rebrabed phone......hope micromax will get their own manufactured phones soon.....Cheers guys!!!

First of all root your device then follow the following instructions. But i would personally recommend you to flash SLD.Next ROM v0.9 For Micromax Magnus A117 [AOSP STYLE] which can be easily found on xda if you have become irritated from this sound fluctuation. This rom is stable faster, has better battery backup and no sound fluctutaions So 1. Extarct the ViPER4Android_4.x_2322.apk from downloaded zip file and follow these instructions:- 1. Copy ViPER4Android_FX.apk to your device. 2. Install the apk as USER app or SYSTEM app is up to you. (v2.3.1.0 onwards) 3. Run FX app from app drawer, allow root access if asked. 4. When driver installation prompted, choose Yes. 5. V4A auto detects your CPU and show available driver modes below : No modes: For processors with or without VFP . Battery Saving: Available for all processors with NEON. High Quality Mode: Available for processors with NEON. Super Audio Quality: Available for processors with NEON. 6. Choose your desired selection. 7. After installation done, Reboot device. 8. If you want to use only V4A as audio effect, follow normal mode. If you want existing audio effects to work, follow compatible mode. Normal Mode: 9. In Sound settings > Music effects, always choose V4A FX unless FX is not installed. 10. Open up V4A FX (and xhifi), in menu, FX Compatible Mode set to Normal Mode. 11. If not working, try Compatible mode before trying Force-Enable. Compatible Mode: 9. for restart problem just do a factory reset once... it will get solved.. an for sound in music player,pls go to settings inside music player and reduce 3D effect to minimal and headsets are normal but gives good output... try scullcandy headset or beats.....

hi guys.. would like to inform that this phone is definitely not the best but kind of things u get from this phon at this price range makes me happy.. i have good exp with this magnus and can answer all things abt it. guys camera in dark doesn work thats why they have given flash with options of changing settings and light mode as per scenario like room,party,hall,etc.. select an light gets adjusted and photos in sunlight are really amazing..people who says its camera is like 5MP or 8 MP i would like to see ur photography... restart issue happens if u installed some unwanted apps... sound on speaker never fluctuates... i use speaker most of the time.. ya cos of network provider u will have issues... and battery is amazing... guys trust me,when u keep mobile data on,it consumes hell of a battery whether u use magnus,s4 or iphone 5.... while charging keep data off an see the difference... feel free to ask more queries...

Hi phone is good but the problem is with the internal storage for apps which is very less and you can not store more apps.Also there are pre loaded unnecessary apps and games which use apps space and you cannot unistall also.

I purchased Micromaz 117 Magnus. Using for almost 1 month. I am satisfied so far. Except for the 12mp camera which is equivalent to a 5 mp camera, the phone otherwise is good for net surfing, reading pdf docs. I do not play any games.

I brought this phone but there was speaker sound fluctuations problem at low volume i contacted customer care they registered headset doa and I got new phone through retailer but new set have same problem then contact customer care And got new set but set had same problem . I again changed headset and but problem persist . So I changed company. I brought galaxy grand quattero . Actually all magmagnus have manufacturer problem so don't buy phones. U all will regret if u buy this .

But with few Minor defects... 12 mp camera is poorer than my 5mp galaxy ace camera... Unlock suddenly hangs and proximity sensors seems erratically working...
