Micromax canvas A120 is nice phone , i used it since 2n half year. There is a storage problem in the phone. Camera is good for selfie.The battery is not long lasting its drained too quickly and its blowing after the overcharged. Screen resolution and clearance is good.overall performance is good at this price.

DO NOT BUY! I used it for 6 months, the application memory was always running out, but I solved it with HK rom editor. Next was hanging, this thing was always hanging that I couldn't even play piano tiles. And also it comes with high heating issue. So it is better not buy this one.

Dude i was facing same problem worst of all!!but now have solution low space popping every time internal space running out no app space and even no updates solution i rooted it from kingroot and deleted all apps i dont want then i downloaded htk rom partitioner apk and install it in it set app storage from 0.89gb to 2.5gb and launch it.this formats all phone and factory reset it but problem solved.then i used sd card and i am texting u from same phone

The display is good i like it but bettery is disaster and afer 1 year of use the bettery fully damaged when i asked in service center Bangalore they said it will cost you 1000 so i didn't purchase that since then i am using duplicate bettery. Hey, i toi was havin the same problem earlier. I hav nt fixed it bt found some hacks 1. Go to settings/storage/ and look for phone storage. Below there u will see chached data. Tap on it n clean chache 2. U could view the app info for the apps u dont use( like mi llive,mi store, mi games, opera). Clean the data of those apps n disable them. 3. Chrome eats lot of data. Clear its history. 4. If u have rooted ur device, u can uninstall unusable apps. 5. U can Google or watch videos on YouTube for increasing space.

A nice budget phone but it has few problems: 1) Too bright display 2) very less internal storage so you can install only limited applications 3) poor battery back up. So i recommend you to not buy this phone because micromax has launched other newer phones in recent time which are far better than A120, and carry a low cost tag.

Overall phone is ok but internal memory is very less. One can't install many apps due to low storage. Also battery backup is vry poor. For a phone with sch large screen only 2000mah battery is nt enough. The keyboard touch is nt up to mark. Touch is hard. Best part abt the phone is that there is no hang prblm. The ph runs smoothly.

I strongly recommended to buy orginal version of samsung and not micromax bcoz of storage display memory n lot more. But those of us who bought micromax having problem here you can do following thing if u want long lasting. here we go- 1. format your memory card in FAT32 connecting with included data cable into pc. it sud be done in every 6month 2. factory reset ur device in every 6 month. update google play store n google play service after factory reset for just 1 time so that we can downlod n latest apps. do not dare to update them again manually. 3. turn off Autosync data 4. play store->setting->do not update app 5. turn off location service n gps 6. do not update any apps or softwareupdate. thank you

Solution is, type *#*#64663#*#* from dialer and you will be navigated to QCtest window. Here, select the 13th option, proximity sensor and click on calibration. Then you will see a success message or something and you're done. Now the proximity sensor will be calibrated and will work fine.

I was a frequent visitor of micromax authorised service centre ( every month) since my phone phone use to hang always due to low storage space. Sometimes it switches off n on automatically without my involvement. Battery is pretty OK but, have heating issue.. Every month my phone gets hanged n wen I go to the service centre they use to reset n give it back.. This routine continued until the warranty period gets over.. Wen I approached the service centre after warranty period they said that thr is problem with the motherboard hence it has to b replaced at the cost of RS 4500/- then, I decided to buy a new phone than to spend amount for this useless phone.. Low storage space is d main disadvantage of this phone...

I forget the procedure how i rooted.Am just used for my phone only .I remembering and writes there is no framaroot and kingoroot supports for my version First i installed jelly bean stock rom.Then i can easily converted to rooted because JB Supports root.After root.We can put custom Stock rom.I have used DarkL Rom.Thats Nice.I thinks this i did for rooting..Sorry if i missed any information. Download 'dark L' based on lollipop Android. Its better than cleankat. It has more customisation and better animation quality. And yes your internal memory will increase when you root your phone when you use the partition app which comes pre installed with dark L rom. You need to install Google apps separately search 'gapps for kitkat' (your kitkat version). However you have to be very careful when you use partition otherwise you'd brick your phone. Good luck

Phone is one year old now and there are better options than this at present bt those who still want to buy it can fr them this phone is worth spending money. Have faced a problem with the front cam bt the primary cam is good 8mp and when used in natural light will give good results. App storage is just around 910 mb to 1008 mb which is less in the longer run. Looks are also good and since u get 3 back covers u can change them and get a new phone look everytime. Touch is also good and screen size is perfect alteast fr my use

I HAD the same problems like you .the bottom key wont function,Fortunately there is an another way to solve this problem if you got root acess in your phone install xposed installer install gravitybox[kk] in gravitybox>Navigation bar tweaks>master switch > enable it. you get navigation key which are in the bottom keys will be available in your touch screen. Awesome phone. I have been using this phone now its 1.2yrs old. I have older version 4gb rom and android 4.2.2. Ya the stock UI is very irritating alwys sucking ram. So i rooted my phone after 3day and uninstal all the apps that I don't need and also the micromax launcher. I use nova launcher very light app. Now I'm using kitkat (Cleankat custom rom) only 200mb. After instaling custom rom this phone is wow... only the problem I have is camera at night time if I click at night without focus object than it takes blurry image so I use to focus first after that only click the pic.. All the users of this phone if u want to get ride of any software, storage problem then root ur phone and instal custom roms from xda developer(google it) control ur phone urself. Thanks

When I called their customer care number, I only got apology for inconvenience caused and next fifteen days time to get hand set. It is only Tarikh Pe Tarikh.... and no result. pls don't buy micromax mobile ..i brought A120 before 10months . I have faced display issue and usb data transfer issue many times. i submitted my phone to service center 4times ...each time they will take more than a month to repair .. service center guys are not technically strong to repair the cell . they don't know to repair the phone. i am feeling guilty to own such a low quality product. still they claim this brand as Indian, we Indians usually make highly reliable and quality products but micromax is not .

Here is what i found out after having compared the two phones(moto e and micromax a120) and came to the conclusion that both phones has its pros and cons just like every phone. The things at which micromax came out being better are its better camera, bigger screen size, smoother performance, quicker ram response and the things at which moto e stands out are its corning gorilla, 3D gaming compatible and a slightly better battery. The one thing which actually kind of setback micromax is its low gpu which kind of lags while playing 3D games while on the moto e, not as much. The decision is for you to make

Its because for apps the allocated space is less ! generally watsapp nd facebook could not be moved to external sd card , so u are advised to download first those app which could be moved to sd card nd then download watsapp and all , to generate more space you can go to settings -apps- Then one by one choose the option for clear data , this will erase all the history of searches and create space .. I did it and it really worked! u should delete all the unwanted messages in watsapp , dat would really help you boost your phones memory �

I had similar issues showing lower memory when downloading apps from play store. I solved it myself. All you have to do is get to settings go to app settngs.clear data of all unwanted apps.disable default apps that you dont need .by doing this i freed about 300 mb memory on phone.hope the same work on urs too

M using this phone for a year now. I had same issue. But if u have FOTA KitKat update simply root u r phone. Use mperio portion tool. Increase phone memory and then unroot it. Problem solved. Works like a charm.

Hi,I got two phones of this same model.One is got from online,after 20 days it is in service center and not yet received.Another got from local retailer.i tell about this 1.we cant install app in memory card ,most of the app settle in phone memory and most of the app cant able to move . 2.There is no Compass Feature in this.Without this u cant install compass apps and direction feature Before You buy check this with your friends and then you may like or dislike my comment.I suggest try other than micromax,I used these two got bitter experience.I forgot to say my first one running 60 days in service centre.That much of service giving here.

MMX CANVAS 2 Colours is a good phone. It comes with an excellent 8mp camera. My sissy uses sony xperia and she completly loves my phone. Even moto E users envy this superawesome camera.It also has a decent battery life and it faces a problem only when it comes to internal memory. It's a good phone for it's price. I have this for 6 months now and still working perfectly. The internal storage and battery issue can be solve by rooting the phone and dl apps like greenify to save battery and uninstall apps to transfer other apps in the internal memory to the sd card.

Battery backup is not a big issue. It is just like other phones. I've been using this phone for 9 months, and it hasn't showed any problem, except for the space issue, where if I try to download an app from play store, it says insufficient space. This can be fixed by moving other apps temporarily to the SD card. The camera is excellent and internet (data, wi-fi) works fine. Overall, a very good choice at this price. P.S: I didn't buy it online.

This is the 2nd part story of great micromax mobile Canvas Color A120. The age of my handset is only 2 months 8 days. Already the set has visited only 3 times to the service center and presently it is with the service center from 29th Dec'14. I bought this set from Flipkart on 1st Nov'14.After the just completion of replacement warranty the problem started.The set went off switch off daily 5 to 6 times. Visited twice to the service center and they install the software but the problem continued. Again visited to Cus. care and the tokk the set for observation and after few days they inform me that they are changing the battery. When I went to collect the set yesterday they informed that another new problem arise from the day before yesterday and they need 2/3 more days for rectify. The great brand name -MICROMAX... Friends,requesting u not to bye any product of micromax. It will make ur life hell.

When the mobile is in idle mode (unused condition) for a long time specially at night, it goes switch off.The same thing is happening in the day time also in a regular basis. Go to apps-downloaded-open google play store and google play services and uninstall updates from both....you are good to go....but it keeps coming back so yiu have to do it again and again Also install cleanmaster and clean standard junk before downloading. Cleanmaster is a better method You can alsi try cleaning cache from the apps.

Really happy with this phone and 8 months gone without any prolems. This is a re-branded phone from My phone RIO, hope you all know about this. Also we suppose to know the device capabilities and how it works. It's required for all the phones regardless of make,model and the os it contains. I will just share my opinion here. 1.heat problem - Definitely all phones will heat up while we play games-becasue it doesn't have cpu fan in it like pc. to avoid heatingup clear out the background running apps, CPU may not have to work harder while playing games-don't load much on the cpu. 2. Battery - whenever you install a app montior that app for some days, apps may drain the battery quickly, if it drain find alternate app on the play store, lots of apps there. This will avoid battery draining issues I do only few calls,little browsing and games for some time. I think I am lucky because I charging every 4 days once. 3.I recommend this phone & if you follow the above I am sure you feel you have the right and best device on your phone.

As per Micromax, nothing can be done about it. It is too stupid of them to partition the memory with such a low apps memory and high internal SD memory which is not really required since we can always use external SD memory. They should have partitioned it the other way round (5GB apps memory and 1 GB internal SD). This is the problem in buying phones from inexperienced manufacturers. We have become guinea pigs. Now they have learned their mistake and started giving more apps memory in even lower models like A1. Don't know if someone can root it and change the partitioning (Micromax will not do that, they confirmed).

Heating problem goes away after using for sometime. But USB cable is cheap one. Its not working anymore and I had to buy new one. Also the battery backup so poor. Battery drains too fast while playing games or surfing internet. One good feature would that it never lags and supports high end games.

Aft 5days on my clrs2 I felt its good mobile looks royally buid quality best. Everything is on my expectation but battery is just ok for me its ok. Satisfactory. Gaming is awesm. Netsurfing is fast. Cam is nice. No heat problm while charging, netsurf. Only on continous use and gaming it heats up but its not too much, its ok evry andriod gets.just disable all crap apps by mmx. Aftr a lot of research i finally ordered diz phone for 7.9k nd man diz is too gud fr d price range. This fon is specifically made for d gamers. Al d high graphic games run so smooth. Camera is way better compared to Canvas 2.2 and Elanza 2. We get 2 additional back coves wich is made of d same material as dat of d default one. 1080p HD videos can be played widout any interuption. Wifi works perfect nd d internet surfing experience is just awesum. The only problem is d battery back up wicg can be solved if u buy a 3000mah battery for jz a few hundred bucks. Overall an awesum fon by MMX.... Go for it

my device is micromax canvas 2 color a120 Already installed apps were not moved there the sd card when i tried to install the apps from play store later then it says insufficient memory I had to rollback my changes when i also copy obb file to sdcard then the game verifies it but it shows the app has stopped running when i move the app into internal memory then the games runs fine. I bought a 16gb class 6 memory card for gaming but it just got waste. Pls help i want to install games on my phone but my internal is full know....

Awesome cell @ a low price....da one wth 8 gb rom n kit kat is probably bettr n if it dosen't gets lollypop update via OTA its possible to root n flash dat rom, coz its hardware is Damn gud. No battery problm after usin for a week coz it gets calibirated. Camera-probably far bettr dn u cn get in this price. Touch & response is bettr as compared to doodle unite or canvad L n da best part is it can easily fit ur pocket n not an odd job like doodle or canvas L. p.s.-a gud high end Gamin' phone via ppsspp emulator. :)

this phone is really good .......i m operating this phone since last week it is working really well , totally up to the mark.........but it has a battery issue when i am using any app or playing any game or watching a video battery drains quickly but if i left the phone unused than battery backup is very good....i have to charge this phone twice a day if i use the set continously......feature wise this phone is very very good camera quality is also very good and secondly it doesnot hang

Go to settings tgen about phone then os update or software update then ok n wait for a little bit of time ur os is updated in kitkat

just search 'a120 xda' in google and select first one and u will get correct version of frameroot and procedure also. if u r having kitkat version then frameroot will not work for u. u can find there how to root kitkat version
