Motorola A910 - User Reviews

  • I want to reset my motorola A910

  • good phone no problems with wi-fi , battery , themes (i have a lot) , but sloooow

  • Everyone have problem with Wi-Fi connection. iGeekmod soft will fix that problem. But it's very difficult to find.

  • the prob is no theme is apply in this phone........

  • yes i also hve same prob, thn wht is the solution of this prob,if u knw?thnx

  • my dad has it, he works 4 eircom mso he got it for free its reallly bad and was so bad that they didnt even launch it here in ireland

  • i have a problem with my wifi connection

  • pls send me the internet/ wap configuration for the phone. the phone is lovely.

  • SOS Well i love this fone & would love to get the setting for my WAP services, MSM, email, multi media, etc. my network is vodafone uk. so can anyone help!!!!!!!!!!!!!! email me: [email protected] thanks.

  • how about the video? record on 320x240 or less? 30fps? 15fps? got photo light? display the videos on full screen?

  • yes it can recived the GSM call when your WiFi is on. But can not receave a GSM call when you are doing a VoIP call

  • Its also support the wifi. If you changed your phone mode to the SIP preferred phone WiFi will be on. If you go to the WiFi and search for the available network and you can find all the WiFi device around you and can syncronize any one of the device thanks

  • I have been very disapointed in the Motorola A910. I would not recommend: it is not user friendly. It is slow to load. Its memory for photos & videos is very small. It is a bulky and heavy phone. It's power drains very quickly, ie it has to be charged daily. The buttons on the side are too prominemt, which means the settings are always altering which is a real pain.

  • This Phone does not support skyp. it is a duel mode phone. it support GSM as well as VoIP at a same time. It was released only in France. It is a first phone which support voip call in mobile without skyp. It is very much specific to a particular operator who gives GSM service as well as Voip service. You have to configure the user name and password (credential given by the customer) and do Voip call in WiFi network. This is the silent beauty of this phone.

  • Alright when I first got it, but performance declined massively. Slow to load phonebook, messages and a crap camera.

  • The voice recognition is useless which is particularly galling because everytime you touch the phone the side buttons start up the voice dialling feature. The side buttons are difficult to avoid when using the phone so anything can happen. The MP3 player is good and would be better if proper earphones were available. The bluetooth connection to the handsfree feature on my sat nav, does not load the phone book which means the feature is useless. BT market this as the only bluetooth phone compatible with their fusion service, I have ditched it in favour of an older phone with full bluetooth functionality. To sum up; a feature rich phone with useless voice activated features and awkward to use.

  • Hello again. If any of you has this phone, please be so kind and post here the first 8 digits of the IMEI number. I don't require the whole number. I need this info for my work. Thanks!

  • well i really dont know much but is it supporting dual sim gsm network, because i'm in search of this major specification...dual mode gsm + wifi if any one got it pls let me know

  • I have just got this handset and am having problems with its connectivity to my router WI-FI problem I can only get a good connection when in the same room as router in other rooms i am still seeing my router as a available connection but it will not connect Deos anyone else have the same problem?

  • Hi, In pakistan, this model is not released ... true ? It is available in only one shop, might be the person imported it. I like this phone and like to know about two major factors, please let me know: 1- Battery life 2- GUI Responce (does it hangs in any case) Thankyou.

  • And why the status is "coming soon" ?!

  • if my battery isn't over heating my phone freezing not being able to be heard at the other end this phone is rubbish.the bad news is they are sending me another one.

  • This phone works great - really good for music if you get some of the moto accessories and some better flash memory than is the standard issue.

  • I used this for a while and really liked it - very intuative and it can read you SMS's out loud...albeit in a very robotic american voice. Fun to send rude sms's to yourself fora minuite or two. Not bad overall - down side I would say it's bulky and when you have wifi mode on it drain the battery but show me a wifi phone that doesnt

  • Hi This phone is pathetic! Its very slow and crashes all the time. I have already replaced the handset through my contract provider once because all the buttons stopped working. Now 2 weeks later this has happened on the new handset plus it does its own random thing. I now cannot send or read texts, make calls nothing! Sending it back yet again but this time i want a different phone. Not happy with the product and would never have a motorola phone again. They have always been rubbish though I thought this new supposedly top of the range phone would be better...ITS NOT!

  • If you remove the back cover and possibly the battery, you should find a 15 digits number (or 6-2-6-1 digits or 6/2/6/1). That's the IMEI.

  • which number is the IMEI, my friend? one in the back behind the battery?

  • Steve, could you please post here the first 8 digits of the IMEI of your phone?

  • My wife has had this phone for a couple of weeks now and really pleased with it. It is a similar size to the Sony Ericsson handsets when closed. The outside has a soft black suedette coating which makes it nice to hold. The screen is a good size and very clear. The keypad is responsive and easy to use. At 1.3 megapixel, the quality of the photo's are quite good. It supports a wide range of audio, video and photo formats and the memory can be upgraded to up to 2 Gig using a micro SD card. It comes with a good web browser and allows you to zoom into the page. It supports wireless and works quite well with the BT Homehub in the UK for mobile calls via broadband (it does struggle to pick up the wireless signal from time to time). It also works with UK Openzone public internet wifi hotspots. All in all, I would recommend this phone. As mentioned elsewhere, it doesn't come with any software but easily connects to our XP computer using Bluetooth for simple file transfer. The only down side is that using it in a wireless mode drains the battery quite quickly. However this function can easily be turned on and off as and when required.

  • Why is it still in coming soon status? Anyone who has this phone, could you please post the IMEI number of your device here? It would help me a lot in my work. I don't need all the 15 digits, the first 8 is enough. Thanks a lot!

  • I've had this phone for a few weeks now and thoughtit sucked at first but now I'm used to it I think it's cool the only problem being is that you have to buy the software from a dealer to be able to operate your phone with your PC or laptop. Motorola should give this software free like other mobile phone companies.

  • Ok, this phone sucks. I've been testing this for a few months now using it via GSM and wifi. If you have wifi switched on, then you'd better forget about a decent abttery life. The phone OS is serously slow. Many times you press a button only to wait a few seconds for the phone to actualyl do anything. Also, sometimes it seems to do nothing, so you press other buttons, then 10 - 15 seconds later it gets it's freak on and tries to do every button press you did in one. Compare this to a phone from a few years ago - eg Nokia 6230. Moto has a much nicer screen and camera, Nokia wins hands down on everythign else. Sure, no wifi - but serously, why do you want wifi on a phone? I don't use a Nokia 6230 just in case you thought I was being biased. This phone looks great, lovely screen, so-so camera, but the useability lets it down to a point where it isn't worth considering as your daily phone.

  • Can it receive GSM calls while it locked on wi-fi?

  • BT are offering this mobile on there network in the UK, and the mobile users wi-fi when at home or wi-fi hotspot to connect to there BT Fusion network when at home and makes the call much cheaper.

  • should be able to run skype or i think theres a built in software for UMA, maybe theres a JAVA version of skype, that should be no problem

  • Can't install skype? I run skype without issue on my Linux desktop and Linux Laptop... I would be very surprised if you couldn't install it, that and open wengo and a slew of other open-source free Voip programs. My opinion of this phone is that I think I would buy it, as long as it supports a2dp for my moto headset.

  • I've been waiting years for a WLAN enabled flip-phone. Why has it taken so long? CONS: Its extreme price. It's running Linux, so you can't install Skype or anyother app to extend it's functionality. My WSP isn't going to carry it. If you're a Cingular customer like me and are looking for a smartphone minus the WLAN. I'd recommend the Cingular 3125 which you can get for $100. Why can't they just give us what we(the customers) want intead of releasing what they want and then spending millions trying to convince us that we need it?

  • good phone and all great features but the price is a bit much

  • does anybody know if this motorola phone has the picture caller ID on the cover (outside)? or is that feature still not available? any major difference between this and the E895?

  • Great fone nice and small best features

  • Best phone ever great features and nice design trust me its a must have you'll luv it thanks Mucka4_55

  • (i wasnt sure if i had 2 put optional or my real name - so i guessed and put optional. if any 1 is interested my name is mr hakkaberry. Anyhu. I like this fone. My faveorite color is blue. I like this fone becoz its blue. Thanks.

  • Does anyone know if this is a real smartphone (possible to install native 3d party apps) or if its OS will be locked like on several other linux/java so-called smartphones ?? Any hint on its US release date ? Motorola said mid 2006 at CES06 but no news since then. I emailed them and their reply was "we do not have any details on the availability of the Motorola A910 for the US market". Of course they don't have any detail, what was I thinking...

  • Motorola A910 Dear ladies and gentlemen! It is offered to your attention, the newest model of phone supporting the newest wireless technology UMA (Unlicensed Mobile Access). Only at us! Welcome to

  • This phone has Wifi- so you will be able you will be able to connect to Wifi hotspots- some hotspots are free and some are not. When you connect to a Wifi hotspot you can surf the net and/ or do email too eg. hotmail and yahoo without any problems

  • Carl has learning difficulties and takes his incompetencies out on other o2 staff and on this website. We apologise to those ppl who are using this website to actually find out useful information about phones and we will deal with the problem (XENOPHONIC CARL) as soon as possible. Sorry for the problems caused by his immaturity

  • Hi i'm jeremy beadle my fingers fell off my hands and i had my toes cut off and they are my fingers now. So whats this phone like for texting if u have toes for fingers?

  • sammy shames steals from lbm (02 inbound). the missing computers are hidden in his garage..a search warrant should be issued!

  • this fone is great if you have no hands

  • this phone was expected to Q4 where it is? another motocancel? =P

  • The wifi is for use with VoIP calls, to be launched on Orange and BT in the UK

  • does... this phone really works in wifi. i hope it does cause if it has a wifi, it can enter into any address in the internet. so i really need to know does it really work, or not.

  • this phone is 1000mAh so it is one of the best battery around with a long life, its a good phone with wi-fi so its a coll phone, design is mediocre but with nice UI, the new one, its a fantastic phone, and reasonably price..

  • i love moto a lot,but the battery is quite dissapointed.me n my frenz facing de same probs about battery when using moto, but not with sonyericson@nokia!i want 2 upgrade mine 2 a910 but i dont want 2 face de same probs like b4!all i want 2 knoe is,does the a910's battery last longer than any nokia@sonyericson?

  • Hello everyone this phone *DOES* have edge support, I have no idea on how to use the WiFi on it and also my bluetooth its useless i hope its because of it beaing a beta but anyways can i use its buikt in wifi for internet acces or only UMA?

  • Guys, I own a e398, interested to upgrade to this. Ya, this fone supports EDGE. But no idea abt the VOIP yet... The 680 has a SD card slot, but this uses Transflash card(expensive):( 1 thing I wanted to kno is the E680 has Real Player. Does this also have it? Also the HTML browser on this fone...is it Opera or Mozilla? Morover has anybody used a 'WiFi' before... do v need to buy a wifi card for it. also Do v need to hav a wifi enabled PC to interact? Any idea pls throw some light on these... as it wud really help all of us? Tx much Guys, appreciate the forum kickers :) Sid

  • Hi castillo_corp, I am interested to buy this phone. pls let kno if it supports VOIP and WLAN/UMTS capabilities. I wud appreciate/welcome any other suggestions from U guys.

  • Hey guys, no EDGE is kinda disappointing. Also they cud hav provided the standard headset jack interface too... Any idea if it supports VOIP, pls let kno... TX guys, chao:)

  • motorola is getting their back kick out, they made people wait a year then the phone its canceled....? or things removed? i only like motorolas design in funtions i willl go for a nokia 3250 that have richer functionality, and prob cheaper, motorola still not learn that

  • As a product tester, and owner; I understand why Motorola releases limited functionality of some phones, but you have to also agree that not that much people would appreciate video games, into something that was meant to be released as a PDA, business phone. Your right, even if they did release Mobile Video system with PDA/Phone functionality, it would tend to sell more than leading competitor, but at the same time, go down, and permanently lose customers. [email protected]

  • greaattt features, but why is it so uuggllyyy.....

  • pls....your ryt if motorola phone has a video game like PSP they will be the number#1 specially to those FILIPINO they like video games so much MOTOROLA U WILL BE THE #1 if you have VIDEO GAMES LIKE PSP or NGAGE

  • I am an owner of MPx220. Even though its a great phone it has its problems. Now I am hearing that motorola recalled this model so I didnt want to upgrade to any other device until I saw the A910. linux what else do I want plus wifi and voip integrated... cant wait for this thing to hit the shelves. Any word on when it will be released?

  • Someone knows if this phone can be used for Voip, since it has wlan support

  • To emblema : The Linux distro of A910 is different to that of E680/E680i/A780. E680/E680i/A780 uses Montavista, while this one is using Juix. The MP3 feature is not mentioned because, hey, Motorola is the pioneer of audio phone! So it's obvious ... :-)

  • To redman: This phone supports MP3's I do not know why it doesn't say that here. But this phone can also play wma, wav, and acc/aac.

  • I currently have the prototype release of this phone, and I am suprised that this is nothing compared to the disappointment of the MPx, although I dont have enhancements but only a charger, this phone is okay, the wireless connectivity sometimes lags but not often.

  • hey guys i dont see any mp3 ringtone support for this phone, whats up with tht.

  • i think is a great device it has a linux processor so probablably it will use the one from the e680 .. wifi is great too

  • This sure is interesting. I wonder when the release date is and hope that it doesn't end up like the mpx [300] which got cancelled although it had a remarkable feature list on paper. All in all, hope it brings down the price of the N series to the mortal realm :)

  • woow this is some fone... wonder if its fast or slow on its menu and when viewing photos... moto really are dumping good fones on market... but the rating of this fone is not as high as others...

  • It looks good but that talk time 4h is a little bit disappointing!
