For JAVA games this phone has full JAVA support! Simply copy any .jar file to your memory card, open the File Manager on your phone, navigate to the folder where you have copied the .jar file and double tap on it. The system will prompt with an question and you can proceed with the installation. About Series60 ID - this phone is UIQ interface based which is INCOMPATIBLE with the Series60 applications! As for the phone ID required by some applications during the installation process - for the UIQ phones the IMEI of the machine is used as ID. Just type *#06# while in the main screen of your phone and your IMEI will be revealed immediately. Write it down and use it as phone ID for all applications required. For GPS u have to install smartcomgps or oziexplorer, that can use topographic cards.Of course the whole thing is by today standards preety odlfashion and of course innacurrate. Much better if u get motorola a1000 or better something up to date.

man this phone sux closed three times three different programs without reason. if i didn't know better I'd say that the CPU lacked thermal paste in some places :) You can play mp3s in the background but expect hiccups while working on other areas of the phone

I own an a925. Brilliant fone, heavy, big but still good. The master reset code should be 000000 but if you changed it then i dunno. Tho unlock the screen press the shortcut key and then the game 2 key (arrow then 2 dots). I found the fones break so easy when dropped coz mine shuts prgrammes down from wen i dropped it from the top bunk. Hope this helps

Hi. As for all the lock codes, I believe that you might need a PUK code. You would have to call customer service from your service provider and ask them for it. You will never be able to guess that number, as it is related to your SIM card. Hope it helps.

Please, it�s possible to install the windows mobile in this phone and the gps service is free?

I bought A925 last week in delhi. This is indeed a best phone, i have ever come across. I am using it with 512MB chip. So working as Music Juke box, Photo & offcourse Phone. Lately i m facing problem in charging the phone. It shows, charger not found, inspite of it being there. Can Somebody help out .. .

Hi, I have seen a few postings about the A925 and the Handset being locked, but as yet, I have not found the solution/password. I bought this phone 2nd hand from a seller on eBay, and it worked fine for 1 day. While listening to MP3s, it suddenly froze/hung - and I was unable to get it to work. I had to power it down, by removing the battery. Ever since then, it states that the Handset is locked, and keeps asking me for a password. I have not set any - and neither did the previous owner. I have tried various combinations, but nothing worked so far. Can someone please help me? Thanks, Nav

hi, i have a motorola A925, i bought it on second hand, i have been using it for a month now, and yesterday out of nowere it showed me " hanset locked " end to enter the handset password, it sais it is password protected, but i didn't install a password and neither did the previos owner. Can anyone please help me, if you know a universal password for unlocking the menu, because i can still receive calls...

Sachin, It's most likely a network provider issue. Check with your network that the message centre number is completely correct. Ensure that the mobile number you are trying to send to is correct also. If the above fails, try a different SIM card with the same network operator in your handset and test it this way. If the other SIM works fine it shows a problem with that SIM. If that SIM doesn't send messages succesfully, use another SIM card with a different network operator - obviously this will rule out the network should it prove false.

thot the A835 was the best deal in mobile telephony until i tumbled with theA925. its kinda cool with all the great features. why go for SE p900/910? mere waste of bucks. fix a 1g MC in your A925 and i tell you- whateva you've got in your house, i've got it in my cellie!

I guess your mobile is locked to a certain Service provider - therefore it is not possible to make calls. One other thing, i can think of is the phone type (a VERY small number above the sim-card-holder) that maybe limits the capabilities (there are different models available) Cheers Joecooltrader

Anyone plz help me. I have problem with motorola a925. It just show "Motorola 3G" for a long time when it's turned on and doesn't change. Therefore, I can't go any further into the menu and can;t use it. The last time I used it when i transfer some picture from nokia 6600 and suddently it freezing. After that the problem occur. you can install any compatible software and games via your pc and data cable. for games you need to copy both .jar and .jad files to your phone then install via applications launcher,install. if that doesnt work you can install via control box/memory manager. there are a few applications and games that work on this handset. try readm from my-symbian.com (click on try button)

well...if it says 2hrs , the n6600 can last up to 4hrs which is like can't last a day , so if the motorola model instead of 2hrs lasts for 4hrs [which is double :) ] it's still tooo little ... The sony-ericsson models like p900 and p910i can last up to 16hrs talktime and they have bigger tft's that the motorola one [the p910i has 200k color tft].

Its a great phone, I just got it. been busy installing new programs!!!! Its reception is Good. and the bluetooth Headset works really fine. but its battery doesn't last long since i play games to0o much lol. i've to recharge it twice a day. and guess what??? I live in India lol

Not happy. Continually have to turn phone on and off to reconnect to 3G services. Games dont load, or cant download files or web content. Phone goes through periods where text msg wont send. Also, it crashes occasionally. Email is inconsistant..... It seems to have software troubles a lot. My carrier is 3 mobile, Hutchison.

Battery life is d problem of these older Motorola products!I had a C350;its a cute little clr fone!D battery didn't last & when it was tym 2 change it,d ones I got peformed even more poorly!Dis is one of d major problems dat makes Motorola sales low in my country(Nigeria).Personally,I think they make great fones!

this phone is alright. However, i am strugling with the battery life. Although, when i bought it they gave me 2 batteries still can't help me at all. After u talk for 15 minutes the bat indicator droped 2 bars....how come motorola don't anticipate this issue seriously.

I got the GPS to work after downloading a free program from You dont neen any extra equipment... its all included in the phone. It will take 3-8 minutes to start up the GPS the first time. The GPS really dryes your battery.. Problem is that the phone will not hang on to my GSM network... it looses the signal and I have to search and registrer again.. it only seems to work fine when roaming in an other country..

if you take away the gps label on the back there is a gps contact, i dont kniw what its for but if you have the right eqiptment you will be having GPS!!!!

Finding any sort of information about the AGPS unit included is a nightmare... I have been told it is not enabled on the network, that you need an antenna attached to the back, that you need a program downloaded etc to use it... The Manual, Motorola's website and "3" phone stores have no information about it, however they all happily advertise it!!! WHERE CAN I GET SOME ACCURATE INFORMATION ???

Nice phone, gprs and "three" services arn't up to much. When playing games with the direction button I regularly hit the call, triangle, shortcut keys, game can be continued, but still very annoying.
