Motorola Moto E5 Plus - User Reviews

  • You can install Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides for that.

  • Hi, this is good phone but it doesn't have office suite. Can any one suggest the office suite from play store without adds.

  • 5000 MAh Battery and Fast Battery Charging is good.

  • super battery , functional and budget . there is no Gyro , if you dont need VR , this is enough . highly recommended .

  • Because you can not download a hardware compass (magnetometer) from the Play Store. It (the compass) has to be built into the hardware (phone) for a software compass (app) to actually function. And this particular phone does not have one (a magnetometer/compass). I think you need to do a little research...

  • Why tf would a compass be a deal-breaker or even a required feature of a phone?! Just go to the Google Play Store and download a compass!

  • Double battery size, because it needs the juice for all the sensors you cant turn off yet still lasts less time then any other phone with smaller battery. Octi core, that has 4 cores at 1.2 ghz, and other 4 at 790mhz. Many radio bands for connection anywhere! so long as you are within 3 miles of a tower because the antenna is garbage at best. Sleek and slim! so you can really feel the heat when its working its butt off to do basic stuff, its so hot, it melts in your hand! Tl;Dr: Trash Vr Samsung J7 Prime but equals the performance of an LG Aristo 2.

  • Ok, it's not always lazy people. I did an insurance claim today because my sons other phone got damaged and needed replaced, this is what they are replacing it with because his old phone is discontinued. Didnt have much of a choice if he needs his phone immediately and I dont have the money for a damn iPhone 10 or samsung

  • It's a wonderful phone and excellent performance for a low budget.

  • 2018

  • It's a good phone...price worthy

  • Excellent phone. Brilliant colors. Extended battery life. Very useful selfie flash.

  • Not user friendly. Keyboard is cumbersome and glitches. Photos are not easy to access. I have a pop up that takes over my whole screen that I can't get rid of. It also seems slow to respond to manual directives. I would not recommend this phone and already wish I hadn't gotten it and it is still new.

  • Does the Moto e5 Plus have cellular modem capability. My Nokia N75 appears in Windows 7 and 10 in the Windows Connection Manager as a Dial-up and VPN as "Nokia N75 Bluetooth Modem" . You set the parameter for the phone/modem to dial that is the "Host Address String" that is your ISP's internet portal address that when you click on the icon the phone/modem sends the "Host address String" and connects you to your ISP's internet portal.

  • Yo are saying i used 4 months but phone release date may only how is it possible...

  • I have this phone and I say it's very good, I don't need any of the features you all complain that it lacks. Why would you buy a phone that doesn't have what you want without doing research on it? This just proves people are to lazy to seek any info on what it cn do and what it has. I don't need an nfc antenna, or wireless charging or notification lights. Look before you leap and learn how to use the camera, its not that bad.

  • Worst Mobile ever, I'm used this last 4 months and its Motherboard dead within 4 months, Camera Quality -0, Performance - 0, Video Quality looks like VGA 1.2 Mp camera quality, Only 1 Feature is the best that is Battery and nothing any feature that you can says Yes it is a average Smartphone

  • you have to use gallery in google photos

  • Worst phone in the history of smartphones!! It gets slow after a while, got no gallery app of its own, and better yet, it doesnt have any compass sensor!! What kind of a smartphone doesnt support a compass? In the days where google maps is your everyday guide, this fallacy of a smartphone doesnt support a compass!! Overall, the worst purchase ever!! DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE. PLEASE DONT!!

  • The Snapdragon 435 in the E5 Plus is not as energy efficient as the 632 in the G7 Power. It's still great(around 98 hour endurance) though.

  • Yes, the E5 Plus supports both 5Ghz wifi and USB-otg.

  • Is It recognizing 5GHz WiFi And Does OTG Support ?

  • Can you tell me how many hours is the endurance rating? I saw on G7 power that is 147h and i'm interested if is better on e5 plus

  • is it voltee . geo sim works

  • You can transfer files using MyPhoneExplorer.

  • Definitely a great phone especially for the price.I can get 2days out of the battery with moderate use the 2nd day I can get through to about 5pm. The only complaint would be sometimes after making a phonecalls the phones starts dialing contacts like 2 or 3 times like pocket dialing but it happens like alot multiple times a week definitely a bug

  • Yes it supports otg

  • Yes I love this phonee.... And its working greatly. After all all it's a new year gift by my parents. Happy 2019! Chao........😁

  • Are you sure the earbuds were connected properly? I found the Moto E5's headphone jack to be a bit tight and I have to push the headphone in bit firmly to get a complete lock. Other than that, I've had no issue using my small collection of headphones with it.

  • I upgraded form a Samsung flip phone to this Moto phone. I was impressed until I plugged in my Sony ear buds. The jack does not like to make a connection to ear buds. If you don't want to listen to audio through ear buds this is a great phones. The FM radio needs the ear bud wiring for an antenna. The funny thing is ear buds work for an antenna, while an error message pops up saying "headphones are not plugged in".

  • With the included fast charger and cable, it takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes.

  • I got this phone it it works on vr because it has gyroscope

  • how long it took for fully charge battery from under 5% to 100? thanks

  • I have it and its working just fine. I don't see why you don't like it.

  • It connects to 5GHz WiFi. It does not have nfc and compass censor (you cannot use it with VR goggles)

  • No it is not worth

  • Yes, it's not recognizing 5GHz WiFi

  • Moto E5 Plus is not recognising WiFi on 5GHz.

  • What is a stock Android browser if Chrome isn't??

  • For those who's planing to buy low budget phone, go ahead it's woth it.

  • Dear Moto, it seems that when I've purchased Moto E4 since the late 2017 quite reasonable, no problems and no big issues, but when Moto releasing the 5th nor 6th series of E and G, I can says that Motorola has turn the wrong way and failed to attracted every Motorola Fans. With big screen issues 5.5 inch above (not everyone loves the big screen phone), poor camera tuner, outgone / weak RAM & Processor performance and same design. Please don't ignore the criticism from customers feedback. I am beg to you please change whether is good or bad..... #IambigfansMotorola #Lenovopleasedon'tbefu*****idiot #LenovospoilMotorolabrand #Lenovostupid,Chinesecommunist

  • Otg support or not

  • Motorola and Android since v7 have cast issues, usually only YouTube app cast ok. Its not only this phone. I have a g5s plus and cast was ok until upgrade to Android 7.1

  • you can installed call recording apps from play store ...which will be work good.

  • I have the Moto E5 Plus I've been in LG fan for years I had to Stylo than the Stylo 2 plus which both had Gorilla Glass LG stop putting Gorilla Glass on their phones I found this phone it has Gorilla Glass and the specs are better than the Stylo 4 that I was looking at which does not have Gorilla Glass and it was $30 cheaper I am 100% satisfied with this phone great resolution fast as hell does everything I needed to do I mostly text use it as a phone look up stuff on Google and go on Facebook besides that I don't use it for anything else and it works perfect for what I use it for best phone I've had so far the battery is huge but I do not think it last any longer than my 3000mah LG Stylo 2 battery it does last all day with hard use but not two days like they claim

  • How about an unlocked version that supports B66/B71?? e4 Plus had an unlocked version. e5 Plus for T Mo has B66/B71 support. Unlocked e5 Plus with B66/B71?? Moto is so lost.

  • It's not a big issue, you will found more free space in this phone then other mobile which are provide galary or browsers preloded. just use uc browser or firfox and quick galary from play store.

  • I paid quite a lot of money for this phone only to find out it has no stock android browser, only chrome, and no stock gallery, just Google photos. I was left at the mercy of ad supported apps from Google play. I can't find a decent gallery app. The built-in file browser doesn't even detect the internal memory of the phone. I have spent days trying to connect the phone to my PC via usb for file transfer but it's not working. I tried developer options, everything. Now I have to take out the SD card every time I need to transfer files. What is this? Features that were there in older android phones have been removed for no good reason, with no valid alternative provided. Is this a joke? And the startup animation, what clownery! I have to keep it face down cause it's too embarrassing and glaring.

  • wel.. this actually e5

  • Cast feature not works Totally disappointed At the time of purchase I specially enquire about this feature ,answer was yes but not working right now

  • I have been using this mobile for the last few weeks. I am quite satisfied. At regular usage (talking, surfing net, watching videos, listeningto music, photo shoot etc.) the charge lasts for 2 days easily.

  • I want to buy this phone except it looks like it does not have a magnetometer sensor. I need more precise GPS and to run compass apps. My current moto g play has the worst GPS 400-800 feet off. Will this moto g5plus be the same? Can anyone tell me if it has magnetometer?

  • Install Shareit on PC and phone both. Run Shareit on both PC and phone And then send files from PC to phone

  • Call recording options is missing in this device and not compatible to external automatic call recording apps too where as other brand & low cost phones had good built in call recording options and support external call recording apps too. This is a great draw back in this phone.

  • Mobile is over heating and just 5 minutes calling is the over heating

  • go for this one if batery life is your main concern.....Otherwise choose the G6

  • but photo quality is worse than moto g6 play

  • another trash gadget form Motorola. Don't waste your money for this phone. Motorola wakeup stop fooling your self.

  • How to transfer the file pc to mobile using wifi Not using the usb cable

  • So I guess in Europe this phone is intangible so it can't be weighted xd

  • me interesa

  • Yes Moto e5 plus support otg pendrive

  • Octa-core process not quad

  • Of course why not.. Isnt jio 4g?? Even e5 plus support 4g.. What dumb question..

  • how good is the 5 plus motorcycle

  • What about sunlight. Is this phone usable on direct sun?

  • when using whats app, voice sending option ,the sound was not recording properly ,why

  • i think i purchase a moto e5 lus but i am confused because ...................... i purchase this phn or note please tell me

  • It's for the Lazer optic window. It's a Lazer focus camera. Great low light detection.

  • There is no face detector

  • its worst and best phone

  • will u please tell me the endurance of the battery life and the face detection and auto focus available for this phone

  • Yes it do supports

  • Does it has face lock & unlock feature similar to moto g6?

  • It has a pull out drawer after sticking a tool in. The Sim and micro SD card goes in there

  • does it has a dedicated sd card slot? Or it has to be put inside a sim slot?

  • Moto e5 plus support jio volte.

  • Dear GSMareana admin request you to pls post a details review of the this device thank you

  • at 11000 u can buy note 4 with Snap 625, full HD hello Moto

  • 425 Soc with quad core? whats this? and thats how moto is expecting to survive with competitors in Indian market

  • Just released in India

  • Lol... I know wat u mean @Tucking_Fypo

  • For 13.5k and only an HD screen, Moto should have gone with the much more power efficient 14nm SD450. Instead, they went with the retarded SD425 and lost lots of potential buyers.

  • its already available in gulf market

  • I know is that the phone's vibration is best.

  • same here but they cut out NFC and notification light for tat big screen..

  • i have this phone since 10 days. A great replacement for my e4 plus

  • Vapor phone--has anyone actually seen one?

  • Not complaining about this one. It looks like a great budget phone. But it's eerily similar to the G6 Play -- both specs and exterior. You get a slightly bigger battery, but a CPU-downgrade. That's it. I wonder if it is really profitable for them to keep their two brands (E & G) at this point.

  • No

  • Really not sure if that's dual cameras or not in the back of the E4 plus

  • what`s the expected price of this phone in Pakistan ?

  • 5000 mAh!!!! That's quite a battery.

  • Sprint has it for sale.

  • front camera features not mentioned. it has auto focus or not?

  • Snapdragon 435.

  • I think you must be confusing the phone with another, the phone is not yet in the Market anywhere in the world..

  • Dual camera is a clickbait

  • The snapdragon 450 and I think the Snapdragon 625 have the same performance. I looked it up and heard about it on a video

  • On the back

  • Gsmarena is incorrect. Last year they used the snapdragon 427 I think. They're using the Snapdragon 435. They wouldn't downgrade it a year later.

  • Nah they'll get security patches

  • Um I don't think these phones are out yet

  • Very unhappy & baffled! Be aware when you order. Here's my experience... After receiving 3 phone cases that are too big, I researched Even More about the 3 new E's. I purchased mine from Motorola. Was given one variable only: 16 or 34 GB's. Main differences from advertised: 5.7' screen ( supposedly on the Moto E ) - not 6" Fingerprint sensor on front, not on back as specks say. ( as on Moto Play ) 2 gb, not 3 as they claim Not Oreo 8.0 but "Android 7.0" ( Snapdragon ? ) * Motorola has Only the phone I received as the E5 plus. Everywhere I look on Google tells a different story. Along with inability to purchase a case that size with proper cut-outs. Is Motorola becoming confused themselves between all the models made simultaneously?!

  • Still much better than buy xiaomi, oppo which notification will stop working after view months, buy copycat phone like that also mean support piracy because price cheap come from no RnD fee

  • Note: Both the Motor E5 and E5 Plus will not get regular security patches and won't get updated to Android P. You have been warned.

  • Biggest plus for me compared to the E4 Plus is the chipset NOT being a cheap MediaTek one. Biggest minus for me is it using Snapdragon 425. But at least it's Snapdragon and it'll get the job done. That aside, I think this is a great phone.

  • This has to be available to the U.S/CAD!

  • G6 plus has dual camera and 600 line chipset.

  • Really?.you do know there is a G6 Plus with all these specs right?

  • To heavy, screen to low resolution...

  • I’ve been seeing different specs on different sites. Does anyone know what the CPU is for sure?

  • Lenovo always has strange black screen, how video watching feels like.

  • support otg ?

  • Big screen, big battery, headphone jack, no notch, no glass on back. Yes, yes, yes! If ONLY they had used SD 660 and called it G6 Plus they would have had a monster.

  • This phone has NFC only single Sim card only.

  • what a big question...

  • true words :)

  • material things cant give you true happiness. enjoy whatever you have :)

  • Looks promising wait for release.

  • Is fingerprint sensor under the logo?

  • Will this phone make me happy?

  • if this Phone is going to have a cheap MTK chipset it is better be the 6750 with 1.5 octacore or MTK 6737 with an 1.4 octa core CPU any thing blow 1.4 GHz is just weak if you don't believe me then try a BLU phone WORST PROCESSOR EVER all of them have 1.3 GHZ CPU

  • E4 plus was very bad camera....is it same in e5plus?

  • Waiting for this phone. Matching my requirements..

  • Moto should give E series snapdragon processors

  • Quad-core = not happening. The g6 is screwing everything up by having a SD450. G6 should be a sd625, this should have been the octa-core SD450 and then it could be considered relevant :(

  • Chipset is fine, battery is great size, great RAM, but poor build.

  • it has a good performance when it comes to gaming .and also when you use the connection.camera has a good quality also .

  • What's wrong with this yet to be complete(chipset/price) specification ?

  • E4 plus already ended it as it was extremely crappy at everything except for battery life and even battery was worse than the competition with similar battery size.

  • The end of the E series.
