Motorola Moto G7 Play - User Reviews

  • I tried both went with Samsung as 1 more gig ram, felt better. The notch was bothering me 😭😭😭. But not bad just felt one UI offered more and updated to 10

  • LOL since 2013 Moto G had non removable bateries (Until just the regular Moto G5) and many others Android smartphones manufacturers. In what World do you live in?

  • the battery is removable

  • I bought two of them and I am happy with the phone because it offers more features than any phone that I bought in the lower price range which were name brands and couple you may not recognize. The only negative thing I could say about the phone and is not a big deal, is that the start up could be a bit quicker. I won't comment on the listed specs as too I assume you can sort out what is important to you. At first I was upset that I could not connect to my wi-fi using SSID and after following the instructions with a Moto rep, the options they instructed me to use just was not there (not an option). Thanks to online instructions from a merchant I am able to connect, and now very happy with the phone ,however, I suspect Motorola silently updated software or realized their earlier instructions just didn't work. 5 STARS - I rarely give that to any product

  • Because batteries have a life cycle and not every would wants to throw away a phone they like over a dead battery. And some people don't feel the need to buy the latest new phone just because everybody else does.

  • As the article says, that's a Droid/X issue. This one seems safer as it doesn't have motoblur

  • Vanilla Android is always better than overlaid Android. Motorola has nearly vanilla Android OS while Samsung uses its OS which has features overlaid (rather overloaded) onto vanilla Android. I would have chosen Moto if given a choice over Samsung.

  • I need to pick between Samsung A20e, and this what u think best??

  • LOL you´re jonking right? If by any means that happens just long press for +- 10/15 sec. the power button and phone will restart. That is a safety function present in all androids to prevent that.. the only valid argument that you could have used is, in case of water drop you can dry your phone faster.... or to get a spare batery in case you run out of batery...otherwise i son´t see other arguments... This phone in particular does not have fast charge, but most recent phones have

  • what a pain when your phone latches up and you have to wait hours for the battery to run out so you can do a restart. Phones are not that good yet. that they don't go wrong. I always go for removable battery. friends Iphones have crashed and they just have to wait.

  • good question......

  • Looks quality phone build for 150 euro Why lower display is round why not up round and lower edged. i haw used in my life samsung, nokia, lg, xomi phones mybe need to start using motorola.

  • Why do people still need replaceable battery for at this age?

  • Why do people still need replaceable battery for at this age?

  • Because some games are made for your phone, and you can play on your mobile no matter where you are...

  • I would give this phone a 8. The snapdragon 632 is really good in this phone because the screen is 720p.

  • go buy moto G5 removeable battery

  • Beautiful phone but since it has non-removable battery, I won't buy it. Is like having your car with a sealed hood and not having access to its battery. What a pity.

  • If you want to play then you should go to playfield, why the hell You need a phone?

  • 3/4 🍀 years back 🔙 I used to hate 5.7 inchers. Because they were too large. Gradually I started to love 💘 them. But again I started to hate them because they are too small 🦐 now I want a flagship with a 7" 19.5:9 or a 6.6" 18:9 screen which is equivalent to a 6" 16:9 Screen.

  • SD 632 is great for a budget device, but 2GB RAM will simply not work. I have Oreo on my old 2GB device: OS and system apps like Play Services and GBoard take it all, only 100K RAM left. Can't use any applications: have to wait 10-15 seconds for any touch response...

  • WTF 2gb RAM on SD 632 & 2160p video recording capable device in 2019???

  • Where is the review? All the other G7 reviews are in, but I only care about this one...

  • Are you mad? Mediatek p10 processor in xa 2016. Sdm 632 is far better than mtk p10. And play means "LITE". Not gaming phone. And more ram does not make it a "GAMING"phone. :)

  • But it looks like an entry level phone.

  • No it won't. The processor is actually quite capable, it's almost close to the 636 in terms of CPU performance. The GPU is also very capable fornow720p gamjng. Android Go was meant for entry level phones with 1 GB RAM, slow processors (like the Mediatek MT6582), very low storage, etc. This is NOT an entry level phone

  • This phone slaughtered the entire Moto E range and there is no need for those to exist. Motorola should put them to rest, or reduce them to 1 E6 for the sub-100€ market.

  • buts its not android go

  • It would be a lot better if it is there.

  • You don't need Android go on 2 GB ram

  • If it had more ram and a secondary camera with a purpose other than depth sensing it would have been a good competitor to Samsung's M10

  • 2GB of ram is year's ritual It's not windows phone (mobile) according to the lenovo and it sub-brand (motorola) it's android phone actually..xD

  • Bottleneck specs. Octacore with 2 gigs of ram

  • Width matters more than length, anything under 72mm is good.

  • finally a small phone (below 150mm)...

  • Classic Moto, underwhelming and poor design! well done dev teams, somehow you've done even less than apple

  • People are mad about big screen... they aren't using phone as phone but as replacement to PC

  • 147.3mm X 71.5mm.....How is that big? Pretty much similar to traditional 5 inch phone in 2013.

  • 4 phones released.. Not even a single compact phone!?. Why all phones are so big!!!.. Expected g7 play less than 140mm X 70mm form factor.

  • Moto G6 Play is better! Gyes, what the heck..? Not'ch again..

  • With 2GB of ram its should have android GO edition. Othervise it will be problem.

  • 'Play' in Motorola phones means 'lite' and it doesn't mean gaming Also snapdragon 632 is very good it can handke every game in 2019

  • Really? with that MTK P10 (28 nm)? its more gaming phone? like what the... dude read and compare the specs first before opening your mouth.

  • Moto G7 "Play" with Snapdragon 632.. How can you play in 2019 with that ?? My Xperia XA 2016 is a more gaming phone than this one.
