Motorola Triumph - User Reviews

  • Yes, it does have a sim card slot. I had a 4gb card in it.

  • Does this phone have SIM Card Slot? also Does this phone support Indian CDMA Network or need to unlock?

  • Not a bad phone the 3G Is really slow and I only get 1 bar even when I'm outside but better than the samsung intercept sph m910 faster

  • When everything works properly you think, cool, I've got a great phone! Then the charging connection won't work. Then it can't find your location on the GPS. Then you go a few days between being able to connect to the internet. And by the way I've been able to play about five videos in 2 years. Finally the charger connections totally went, after thousands of wasted minutes jiggling the damn thing to get it to charge. Now that it's dead I can't wait to bust it up with a hammer. Hate this fucking thing.

  • yes, I currently have an 8 gig c10 card in mine.

  • This phone has serious signal issues. Poor 3G connectivity requiring airplane mode toggling every few minutes and the GPS cannot reliably lock a position. This phone is a disaster.

  • My daily phone right now. Pros: Nice screen Good size Barebones android a + to me Cons: Horrid battery life Very weak antenna

  • Does motorola triumph supports Micro SD HC/Class 10 memory cards?

  • This is a CDMA phone so they have it for Sprint or Virgin Mobile. Also, since it's CDMA you can have it flashed to other prepaid service. Such as Cricket, MetroPCS, Boost Mobile, etc.

  • Can be used in other networks? cuz ive seen its for virgin mobile or???

  • This may never find you, Anonymous, but I've had great luck improving stability by turning off wi-fi.

  • I got the Triumph because I left my Optimus v on the car's dashbroard. The display was damage by the heat. I bought the Triumph to replace it I like the 4" display and every else works. I do get a restart from time to time and people have trouble hearing me when I on the phone. I have read this phone was built by Huawei, I think Triumph is ok phone but wowed by it.

  • this phone is alright. could be faster. it does seem to crash/lock up and re-start for no reason, happens at least 1 to 3 times a day. other than that problem the phone isn't too bad for the money.

  • All of you that complain about this phone needs to shut up because I've had this phone for almost a year, & i love it!! I wouldn't want any other phone. This phone works wonderful. No problems at all. (: i recommend it to anyone that woukd like to buy one.

  • Hi....what do you mean by the phone sucks on the "stock 2.2.2.2?" tks

  • HI, what do you mean by..... "Stock 2.2.2.2 ?" tks

  • is the hotspot on the phone a free service or do you have to pay or root the phone for it?

  • best prepaid fne ever its even top sum of da contract fnes i havent no problems wit good service its really fast it loads quicker den my 4g fne.

  • This phone sucks on the stock 2.2.2, but is one of the best phones for the money. I pay 25 a month, i have HDMI, mobile hot spot, can watch HULU, and lot more. IF you buy one, just put a custom rom. I phone scores better then 90 percent of phones on the market in a quadrant test. if anyone needs help, let me know

  • oh best spec.. but cdma ........:(

  • hi i never used this phone but i really want it and a ton of people are saying yes its horrible and some are sayings its wonderful i dont know what to do pleae help me and thank you o yea i forgot i have Virgin Mobile USA so i could only buy those phones thank you(:

  • The Triumph is horrible. Horrible signal. Horrible bluetooth capabilities. Can't play one song on Pandora completely through...but it catches all the commercials though! HORRIBLE! While on a call, the screen is uncooperative; plays peek-a-boo with you and multitasking is virtually impossible while a call is in progress. Soooo horrible. It can't hold a candle to the Optimus V in any category. It's worse than the slow loading, freeze fest Blackberry 8530. Did I say how horrible the reception is? Well, is beyond horrible. I have the Optimus V sitting in the passenger seat just to see & compare performance. LG Optimus V has a signal nearly all of the time. The motorola horror is doing good to keep a charge. I have to wiggle the usb cable to get the charge connection. Mind you this is a brand new handset. I'm so disgusted I could puke...hold on! Okay I'm back, where was I? Ohhhhh yeah, the the horror phone. Don't mess with the calibration...at all! Leave it alone! You've been warned! This fone laggggggs. Select an app...go take a nap while it loads. Sheesh. It's horrible. I think I need to puke again...

  • Warning!!!!! Don't waste your money. This phone is riddled with problems that Motorola nor Virgin Mobile have any intentions on correcting. I'll start with my biggest complaint which has me on my 2nd (going on my 3rd) phone. The usb port which is used to charge the phone & connect it to a cpu is flawed. Its a small tab which over time wore down with all the plugging in that a android phone (& this one in particular) requires. It came to the point where I would need to have the phone sitting in a certain position to make a connection & charge which made the phone useless while charging because it would lose the connection if moved even a little. The sad part is that straight out the box it never made a solid connection 100% of the time & gradually got worse. & it didn't help that the cord included is like 2 feet long which necessitated the use of an extension cord. The phone that Virgin Mobile sent last week immediately had issues with the hdmi. I had to wiggle the cord to get it to connect. As with the first phone I was never able to get the bluetooth to connect for more than 2 minutes of conversation & the GPS will not lock my location at all. Two basic features on smartphones that do not work. The "snapdragon" processor has an incredible lag & I'm wondering if the 4th phone will correct all my problems or if it will need replaced every couple of months to correct the usb problem which is sure to wear down again with the normal use that is expected of a smartphone. Fortunately Virgin Mobile warranties their phones for a year & I put a 2 year replacement plan on the thing when I got it at Radio Shack. It seems now that it will be well worth the extra money. I guess I have to suffer through until a high quality & reliable phone is released on a prepaid carrier. I thought this was the one but I couldn't have been more wrong.

  • No u wrong. User 410 was right. Rebranded cos that's one of the best spec (more better after overclock) recomended stuff

  • I had vm for over 6 to 7 years and i love it and i got the triumph noe and is faster then he other fhones i geve it 100%

  • haha.. i really dont understand your English.. hihi

  • GPRS only for GSM. In call it's called CDMA 1x.

  • Motorola mobile is good but motorola triumph is not done, because not gprs ^& others similarities, nice look by triumph long screen 5 mega pixels.motorola triumph & sony ericson experia have no different but sony ericsson is sony ericsson.motorola triumph new brand and very strong and smart looking very well done by motorola company you born a beautiful peace.

  • this is same as Spice Mi 410

  • is that mobile will be available out of virginmoblile

  • what !!! this phone is just for For Virgin Mobile USA its awsome phone for virgin

  • This phone has boon awesome. Fast internet, you tube, and mail. The camcorder, cam and games from android are great! Excellent phone no complaints.

  • First of all, the Motorola Triumph is exclusive to VM. If u look at the placement of the buttons and speakers then u will see the difference between the Huawei Ideos X6 and Motorola Triumph. Even if it is a rebranded Huawei device, they are stepping up their game.

  • Just wanted to share some information about this handset. This is released in India as Spice Mi-410 Released in US as Motoroala Triumph Released in Indonasia as CSL-410 Released as Huawai Ideos X6 You guys can check out the specs of above models on Gsmarena. I assume the OEM of this device is Foxconn and is rebranded by different companies.

  • The only bad thing I notice is battery life. Obviously the first impression when I opened the box was "Why the hell the battery is so SMALL?". Otherwise, this phone is great.

  • in which way was it bad? Gonna get this soon, so i'd like to know what to look out for. Thanks

  • I am glad I still have my Optimus V because this piece of crap is going back to the store. As another poster has stated, this phone has a much weaker signal pull than the Optimus V. Also, when I first paired my Motorola H17 BT headset with the phone, I had to restart the phone to stop it from ringing. Since then, it has had issues connecting reliably. The battery life is crap! I might try another one just to be sure I didn't pick up a lemon, but if it behaves like this one, it will go back as well. We shall see.

  • Triumph is not as good as OptimusV in a non-perfect environment: Pros: Large screen, It's fast, Has a front camera. Cons: Reception is weak 0-1 bar where OptimusV would show 1-2 bars steady signal, Battery drains very quickly, about twice faster than in my Optimus V (weak reception only makes it worth), GPS receiver is weak, fails to pick signal where OptimusV would take only a few seconds, No hot spot feature unlike in OptimusV, Costs more than twice as much as OptimusV.

  • If the camera is bad, take it back. My first was bad so I tried a new one and it's much better.

  • the camera is really bad.

  • we got this phone in stock store located 563 86 st brooklyn ny 11209

  • awsome Triumph in the virgin virgin owner are sooo louky

  • Some stores have released the Motorola Triumph and you could possibly get one today.

  • Looks like Huawei U9000 IDEOS X6....

  • I have virgin mobile and love them. Motorola, love them as well and never had problems with any product I've had of theirs. The beautiful Triumph, simply can't wait!!!!!

  • Check out my videos on youtube by mixedbreedGA

  • Just got it yesturday. Awsome phone.

  • So download the Tunein Radio app and you've got great reception of over 50,000 radio stations, many of them local. Who needs FM??

  • no fm radio :(

  • Hmmm... Motorola with Scorpion processor,Adreno GPU and 480x800 resolution? And without Blur too!?Is this real? Sounds like a HTC or Samsung.

  • No. The price is $299 at Best Buy.

  • but it was totally same like ideos

  • even trimph is cdma and its gsm

  • shame to u !! how u can compare king of android motorola with huwaei !!

  • It is Huawei U9000 Ideos X6, shame on motorola buying phones from Huawei.

  • it coming out on the 19th of july for Best Buy for $300. I have the $25 plan VM is good for the money. I'm buying this end of august :-)

  • people, can i use it on other cdma carrier outside US ?

  • Is it me or are phones getting larger, soon not even my phone will fit in my pocket.

  • That cricket phone also requires the $55 a month android prepaid plan. That's more than twice what I'll be paying on VM -- no thanks, I'm sticking with my Triumph on Virgin Mobile!

  • NICE!

  • I've been a prepaid guy for years now. Ive had the optimus for about 6 months and have loved it. Cant wait for the triumph.

  • Its plastic. GG would raise the price another bill or so.

  • Motorola Triumph now available for pre-order on Best Buy for $299

  • I hope we find out soon if it has Gorilla glass... Motorola better not be hatin' or skimping on the P.A.Y.G. folk! >:(

  • Best Buy has it as a pre-order for $299.99

  • cant wait till it comes out

  • There is a new phone coming out to Cricket Wireless called the Huawei Glory. It is better than the Motorola Triumph spec-wise. The "Glory" comes with an 8MP camera and a 1.4 Ghz snapdragon processor. It will come with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) at initial release with the promise of an update to Android 4.0 (Icecream Sandwich) in 2012. The price is uknown but Cricket promises it will cost under $300.

  • Motorola Triumph hitting Virgin Mobile on July 19? When we last saw the Motorola Triumph -- a relatively high-end Android phone headed for the prepaid Virgin Mobile -- we'd been given a time frame of July for release, and that was that. If this image taken from a magazine is on the level, it might be headed our way come July 19. The Triumph, as you'll remember from our hands-on, is a 4.1-inch stock Android phone with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 5MP rear camera and HDMI out, running Froyo. That's certainly nothing to sneeze at, now is it? So, anybody going the prepaid route on July 19?

  • Just In: Release Date for the Motorola Triumph will be ............ July 19. Save the date because many people want this phone and the phone will go fast.

  • Finally something decent on prepaid...now I can make the switch over. I honestly think cellular service in the United States is a racket.

  • releasing date is July 19th at a special introductory price of $319.99 at bestbuy. Sale will last two weeks and then return to normal price of $349.99 Still an awesome deal considering you can use it on the $25/month plan.

  • IT'S NOT AN X6! look at the processor. Msm8655. X6 has the 8255, the "first" Gen snapdragon like the incredible. This one has the newest single core snapdragon like the thunderbolt. Its actually a lot faster too. It may still be manufactured by huawei and licensed by moto, since moto uses omap chipsets, but definietly NOT an X6...

  • looks real good...cant wait to get it...I honestly think the will best the best phone that was originally intended to be prepaid...I jus hope the price is as good as the phone..250 or less...though I kinda doubt it.

  • A larger screen with a smaller battery than my Prevail....eh I'll pass

  • First of all, this is not a rebranded Huawei X6. the X6 has dolby surround sound and is a GSM device. the Motorola Triumph has different buttons and is a CDMA device. Also the Huawei Ideos X6 will probably go to T-Mobile because it has the AWS bands.

  • well done moto

  • ilike this set good model and good design

  • its real smart phone

  • awsome phone

  • congratulations motorola

  • Another Rebranded...... :) Huawei X6 Olive VS300 CSL/SPice Mi410 Magnum A4 HD Wellcom A99 Viewpad 4 and so on....

  • this is what i waiting for... its huawei x6 actually, rebrand version... ihopeithasgorrilaglass... :D

  • well sorry to pop your bubble love the phone but its actually a huawei u9000 ideos x6 or a cherry mobile magnum hd or a spice mi410 or a wellcome a99 or simply a huawei ascend x under the motorolla skin,,problem is am in love with it more than

  • for wooooooooooooooooorld wide pleaaase moto

  • why 2.2!!!!

  • Regardless if it is a knock (which it have minor better specs) it still is a good phone going to a carrier that only charges 25/month for 500 minutes unlimited txt/web. That is good enough for some people.

  • it looks like huawei ideos X6...same design, same specs....

  • wrong picture,i think

  • When you click on the link of the phone's picture...a different phone is shown.

  • When it will be available?

  • hahaha just click the pictures and see the pic hahaha

  • is a prepaid phone +1, has a nice display and feautures for on the go phone... and the best, do not have motoblur

  • Why the picture from the specs section is completely different than the one in the pictures section?

  • Ugly... it's a tablet? it's a phone?

  • First atlast... Liked the DroidX-like formfactor but a 4.1" LCD display powered by a 1400mah battery why motorola why?

  • i need to know the price pls

  • Man The Phone Picture on Specification List is 1 and if U just Click On It , Its Shows a Different 1 , So which 1 to believe (By Reading The Spec. The One Which is on Spec. List Looks Pretty Lie It ) any way Not So good : No Gyro-Scope Sensors , No LED or Even IPS LCD , No Gingerbread Out Of the BOx , Out dated CPU 1Ghz ,5Mp Camera Sucks now , no 1080p (though there is not lot of phones that can do this) AND no GSM Network so rate triple 6 for it ...! ITS A DEVIL... :)

  • Great Phone !!!!!
