Motorola V.box(V100) - User Reviews

  • I have one & work wll til now

  • I've never seen this before!

  • I still remember when I first got this phone with its handsfree earpiece, and talking to the weird thing that attached to the back and plugged into phone that worked as your receiver and mic. It would have been great for texting, but at the time they released this in Canada texting was just starting to takeoff. Very few people used texting or even heard of it yet. Other than the Camera, handsfree wired headset, and the attachable headset piece I can't remember what other accessories you could get.

  • Where can I buy this old phone? I had one when I was 18.

  • I had this as my very first phone when I was 12. It was a very unusual phone back then because it does not call without a headset but it was a perfect one. It was a cool phone at the same time because it is the only phone back then with a qwerty keypad.

  • where I can I still buy this kind of phone??

  • Great basic phone with QWERTY keyboard. No 3G only dial-up WAP. Used to text on it all the time. Buttons so much easier than pecking at glass. The US advert was funny too

  • My first phone on 2001.I miss it

  • 2015 and using mine now. Used to have one 15 years ago and saw one on ebay so had to have it. Although not a data phone and my provider no longer supplies dial-up WAP services, the texting is great, multipule alarms great. Only shame is there is no bluetooth and only 2.5mm jack plug for voice calls using a headset. 7/10

  • I absolutely loved this phone. Had it back when I was in the 5th grade or something. Only complain I could remember was the fact that you couldn't make or receive calls without the headset.

  • I used to LOVE my fone! Got it WAY back when I was in 4th grade. Never got enough of the games.

  • I loved my baby v100,I was the first 1 to use it in my high school, cheese boy!!!

  • i was in 5th grade when i had this phone. i loved the voice recording feature.

  • Used to sleep in class while the voice recorder of this phone was active ^_^

  • Lol i were also in 6th grade in year 2000 and had this phone!

  • had this phone when i was on my 6th grade.. super cool... hahaha.. just miss the old days...

  • I agree!

  • this is still the best phone ever

  • had this phone for a few months. its ok if you're a strict texter, but its very annoying when you make/receive calls. you have to plug in the headset. and theres no point in always keeping the headset plug since it cant even play mp3s. cute, but not practical.

  • i want to purchage this phone plz guide me best future this phone -

  • My first phone

  • I bought this phone because it was cute; a few days later though, I realized how a liability it was. Lost an important job interview because that one day I forgot to bring the headset. Didn't realize that one needed it to talk. Sold the phone right after.

  • Baby, the phone was released in 2001 after being announced in 2000. so get your facts in order and please try to stop upsetting me!

  • this is the first qwerty phone i ever had.. i miss this.. sadly i broke it, i smashed the screen. because the flex technology at this time is not that good so thats the reason why the display just turns blank, flips upside down or just turns weird. but eventhough, i miss this phone, lots of fun memories! d fact you cant answer calls without headset but still, awesome phone!

  • its indicated on the specification that it is Announced year 2000 so probably it was also released that year

  • hi u can get them of ebay for like &10 or theres one at the monent for &1 goood vale

  • I want to have this phone, coz i missed it..

  • i hate this fone

  • The only feature i loved about this phone was that i could type using the full qwerty keyboard. Motorola (to personal experience) and customer survey, is most likely not to be on your christmas wishlist. My V100 gave me endless problems. The screen would magically flip mirror, or read upside down. Sometimes it would split in half, then the halves would swop around or one would flip. Don't even get me started on how many earphone sets i went through with this phone. 4 sets in a matter of 7 months. Not from using too much, but from pure poor quality. The price i paid per earphone set (original motorola) was about 80% of the total phone price, which means in the time I've owned that one, i could've bought another 3 phones!

  • Where can I buy this phone? Is there an available brand new phone of this kind and model? Pleease respond. Thanks!

  • This is great phone, still use i avery day

  • But it's in a koolie's nature to show off

  • 1993 was the year because i had one the year they where issued.

  • Would anybody know what is year that is been out actually starting. I really need that information because i have this phone and it is really good phone if anyone could tell me this please checked out i tried but i couldnt found please answer me that is really important for me!!

  • my 1st ever phone, was really pumped about having it so i guess at the time i could see no wrong about it...loved the voice memo feature.

  • i have i to sell 4 1 million

  • tro nul lol mdr

  • tro nul

  • this phone is really nice but the bad thing here you always need to bring your headset...but i love this phone and has an unique style...especially the neon green one...

  • i remember seeing this on an orange leaflet which came through the door 1 day back in the days.i asked my auntie to get it will i was at school, when i got home she said they was out of stock which i was gutted about but luckily she was lying.the phone looked great and i reckon they should update it and bring it back out(with a speaker and mic though).il always remember this great gadget.i really miss it.the sad thing about it is that i cant remember wot happened to it,did i sell it or lose it ummdunno lol.if any1 wants to give 1 to me (working plz) email me at [email protected] would make my day to see this great phone again.

  • i have this phone for 3-4 years... it fell many times and its still ok... but sadly one day it just wont turn on or charge... i like this, it is very unique and stylish... its still here, i kept it as a souvenire. hehe... i miss this phone!!!

  • back then my ex finds this phone rather wierd in a way. she never touched it.

  • the gsm arena is wrong about this phone.at least with one thing:this phone does have the alarm clock.great design back then.i still have one.it looks brand new.don't know about the battery,if it still holds the phone alive for a couple a days,but...what can you expect?it's almost 9 years old.

  • i had this phone.. sadly, i couldn't use it anymore. the screen were blank..

  • i like this phone. i had one but i lost it. if i find one for sale id buy one the only problem with this unit is that you need the headset when reciveing and making a call

  • i really love this phone so fun its like a gameboy loke ko 'to muah;-)

  • well i have still got one completle new, plastic stil one the phone

  • I really loved this phone, still have it, not using it but can't let it go. Really good for fast SMS writing, has only 3 but good games, and used WAP. The screen got problem, (1 line dissapeared), which is probably caused by folding screen design.

  • This must have been a very unusual phone, I remember looking at this phone back in 2001, when I was 14 (Now I'm 21) in the Argos catalogue and I really wanted this phone. My friend owned this phone and I used to have a 3210 back then, he always used to show off with it. 7 years later, I now own an iPhone, a Samsung E250 (for emergencies and SOS Contacts (YES!)) and my friend who used to show off is left with a rubbish phone know as Samsung D500 (comes with extra trouble and a cracked front disply!), I wonder who's doing the showing off now! now we're gonna have to wait 7 years more til 2015 until it's his turn again, LOL!!!

  • ive got a regret when i trade this.. so i wanna buy again this phone.

  • this is my second phone,, i got this when i was in grade 2, now ,i'm in 1st year high school (7th grade) and i own a razr v3i...

  • i love mine i even still got it

  • this phone is great maan!! im still using mine!! ha!! big to motorola!!

  • my first phone..at that time i thought it had a radio coz it had a headset but it was for calls! ha! anyway, i loved this phone, i was the coolest that time at school!ha!

  • this phone looks just like an electronic dictionary. it's the most funny phone i've ever seen. lol...

  • What a blast from the past - this was my first ever mobile phone! I thought it was the best phone ever, even though it (incredibly annoyingly) needed a hands free set to be able to talk on the damn thing...

  • wow, this is a classic. the first time i laid eyes on it, i thought it was the most greatest thing ever invented. my cousin bought it though, cause i was still young to own it.nonetheless, i loved it like it was my own.

  • I envy my classmate when she bought hers on school. I thought these are still available. Too bad!

  • I use to have one and I lost the head set and I can't use to call...it really sucks

  • Yer betul.. my favourite henphone. :D

  • My first high tech phone....... my first strong phone!!... even if i throw this at many times, this phones doesn't break!!! How cool is that?!!! By da way, i have more than 25 phones but v100 is my favorite!!!

  • Oh yeah forgot to say. I still have mine and it works Whoop Whoop. still has charger and box but i stood on headphones and now i use an old pair of samsungs.

  • Yeah there is an update for this fone. Although i think its only in america coz i havnt seen it over here in the uk. Anyway its called the Motorola A630. Its almost the same but its got buttons on the front like the Nokie 9 series...

  • so my boyfriend bought this fone and i thought hell i don't like it, but i got use to it as time goes on then realize i love the thing... the keyboard always catch ppl eyes... i still have every accessory it came with locked up in my drawer of antiques...

  • i rember this phone it was so cool at that time

  • still have it locked up in my drawer... LCD not working. headset is dead but Class A battery's still charging. used to be my bro's fone then it was passed on to my dad. love that qwerty keyboard. looks like a casio magic diary. hope they make a coloured version for this thing with a 3MP camera and VGA quality video recording features.

  • I just found my V100 tonight, still have the ear piece, just a shame i've lost the charger :( so battery is completely flat. used to be great to have back in the days of school where phones were banned but i got away with it cos teachers thought it was a personal organiser

  • Motorola V.box was the first phone i really wanted. And, yes, it is really unique with its design, and i have to admit that i still want one of 'em... Or test it... :) Maybe sumday :D

  • Woah! Is this even a phone? Does not even look like it! lol

  • my first phone back in 2002....hmmmmm...memories. very strong phone but you cant accept calls if you forgot your headset...hehehehehe.... you never forget your firsts....

  • It looks like a sleek gadget from a Bond movie when i first saw it. When I found out that is just around 3,5k way back 2000. I burned my first salary from Informatics right away. Two weeks later I saw big Asi Taulava on TV using it! Now who's not going to be proud that once in your life, you've owned a phone this techy cool. Too bad my sister and I sold it in Greenhills for a measley 800 buck. Shame, really. (I still have the adapter, though...). Sniff...

  • ohhhh i ve really miss this fone, one of my first fone.its strong.i ll want an update of this fone pls.

  • i had this fone for 4 years. and really this is a very good fone not even the best camera fone could replace it. this fone has a good quality. my bhabie phone... =D

  • Well, my main phone is a Nokia6600 that i love. A few days ago i saw this V100 baby and i had to have it. The features, compared with today's modern phones are nothing. It is as big as a brick...but... it is different. And that is what i like in a cell phone. being "other than the common phone". It is great for SMS tho... So i traded an ever-so-boring Siemens a62 for the Moto V100. AAnd i am happy with it.

  • I like ma vbox cos its unique, but there has to be improvements, like handsfree, colour infrared etc.

  • I used that long time ago.. I missed it.. But if anyone want V100 with colour display, internet browser, bluetooth, and so on... Its avaliable now.. But change its name it called NOKIA COMUNICATOR

  • I thought these phones were cool for deaf people but i work in a phone shop and the ammount of faulty ones that came back... ...with deaf users trying to explain what was wrong was scary.

  • What a phone, I loved this phone, looked so unique! I wish theyd make an updated, colour version?? Please?

  • i love my v-box cos its just unique but want an improvement on it

  • I like this phone... But they need to make a new one very very very soon... The new phone needs more voloume, longer voice record (5 min maybe). MSN messenger instead of icq. (Free internet, and opitional colour screen, and optional camer/vide camera) Sim ple menu options if doenst already have not to comlicated. 10 Recieved, dialed, and missed calls, free voice mail, built-in speaker(loud), should be abel to close the phone and talk if not already capible..... Basically free-internet ready, downloadble ring tones, couour screen, simple menu options, louder microphone-speaker, built in speaker, msn messenger... same design, maybe some modifications but really not nessery. (easy name)

  • is this a phone??? =O looks like a laptop... lol

  • this is the greatest phone of all times i luv them so much i ve had 6 of them and dont get bored of them

  • How can i set up the link address?

  • does ne no da 8 diget number to use my v100e?

  • my screen is bad what can i do to repair it but it still receives call but blank/blur

  • Useless, outdated, crap, impractical, untidy, sloppy design, low volume, lack of features, corky, and just too big. It's like a scaled down Nokia 3310. Just less features and bulky

  • the phone is superb. i kinnda like it for its shape

  • v100 is a fine phone, fine shape and fine face.motorola keep it up.

  • what 130 euros ! are you crazy ! i paid mine 30canadian dollar in 2003.. thats like 20$ us and about 15 euros... this is old and worn out... forget it... get a v300 its 99$ canadian.. its way way way better

  • i want to buy the motorola V.box(V100) i would like to know how much it costs. i am based in Uganda "Africa" i would also like to know the critaria of payment and how long it will take me to have the phone.

  • he is a great product. please send me on my Email a V.box's manual in franch.Thank you

  • how much is the v100 cost in the shops

  • I've had this phone for over a year now. It's great! There's another way to talk on it - there's a piece that attached to the bottom and it works like a regular phone. It's awesome for messaging. It's got call display. The redial function is crazy - it just keeps redialing for you if the number's busy. Someone said there's no alarm... they lied, there is one. My only complaint is the volume of the speaker (way too quiet for max volume - I'd like to think that the loudest volume should hurt my ears in a quiet room). Other than that, I love this phone. And everyone that see it loves it too. P.I.M.P. I'd like a newer version that has a colour screen too.

  • how long is my battery life?will it last a day

  • can my phone recieve compose ringtones?can my phone recieve graphics

  • how do i change my phones color and casing?is it posible?

  • This phone is cool.I actually love it but the fact that it doesn't have an alarm make it limited because i'd love it to wake me up even in my hotel rooms when I travel. It's a feature that is missing

  • can you still buy them

  • The v-box cost about 130 euro.If u want one just give me an e-mail.

  • Can you please tell me if this phone was specifically designed for deaf people and if there is an option for a non-sound model?

  • I would like to request some information on the v-box cause i would like to buy one ,, and i need the informatation of how much the cost to purchase a v box,, and how much monthly ,,, informations like that thank you very much if i could get the agthering ,,,

  • wanna to know how much cost for v-box ( v100)

  • i have da t720 it was okay, but da v100 is real sucks shame to motorola!????!!!

  • good phone only the way u answer calls is a pain in the arse. If there was a bluetooth handset which requires NO wires this phone would probably be one of the best around even now! A colour screen with MMS would bring this phone up to speed no end.

  • i have a problem and i am very upset, the screen on my v box is not working properly. the text is all distorted and it does not switch screens (ex. from main window displaying time to the quick menu. i am unable to make outgoing calls. i have only had the device for 8 mons, and it is trash. i am signed on a 2 yr contract. can you do something about it? if not i am switching companies, with out a doubt. i am calling the dealer where purchased today. Nathan

  • I've got one and if you're thinking of buying one STOP WASTING YOUR TIME!!! This thing really sucks. The keyboard is a lousy thing to type, and to be honest: I don't think motorola ever made a good, handy phone that works properly. It's crap. You can't even make a phonecall whitout the headset! What kind of celluar PHONE is that???

  • We are looking for MOTOROLA T180. Hear from you very soon. Tel: 1(713)5879445 Fax:1(713) 5879443

  • pls give me this phone my credit card number is 7778998746555 my name is Ivailo Malinov-Kozy my street adress is Bankya Bulgaria street Moskva 26a

  • I love the new model

  • i am a owner of the v.box and the memory for missed and recieved calls is 10. i have also had trouble finding ringtones to enter as the instruction book is incorrect and motorola have been no help even though i have rung them several times. i have found 2 site that have the ring tones but the call will cost about 4.50 nd im not paying that amount everytime i want to update a ringtone.

  • Can anyone tell me where I can get free ringtones from ?

  • the phones only let down is that you have to connect the headset every time you use the phone

  • Is this really so cool? Maybe Ericsson Chatboard is better SMS solution.

  • This is an excellent phone, and it really annoys other people when you can tap out an SMS in seconds while it takes other people five to ten minutes. A recommended addition, though, is the Retractable headset available from www.motorola.co.uk or motorola.com and similar sites. Unless you're prepared to wear the headset all the time, you can miss a call very easily with the supplied headset when the phone rings because you've got to spend time unpacking and untangling the earphone. The retractable headset solves this problem and enables you to keep the headset ready for use on your belt next to your v.box. The official site for this phone is www.xtremetxt.com, but frankly that's a waste of time (though you can get yourself a free text messaging book from there, which is rather funny). Though ringtone sites are in short supply at the moment, the ringtone editor is exactly the same as all the other Motorola phones and so any key combinations to tap out a tune on them will also work with the v.box. If you want to know a little more about the phone before you commit, go to motorola.co.uk, look in the Support section, Manuals, and download the PDF manual for the phone, which gives a good idea of how it works. It takes time to get used to, but I wouldn't have any other phone.

  • i honestly regret buying this phone.i cannot even download logos and ringtones from the internet as in other phones esp NOKIA.if u have a solution pls mail me thanks a lot

  • wwwiiicccckkkkeeedddddd overall excellent, small, stylish great phone

  • The v100 is awkward to use at first. Once you're familiar with the feel of it, and the feel of keypresses, its great for sending sms's. Be warned, tho, you NEED to use the handsfree kit to make/receive calls. Best for someone who mainly sms's. Also, the motorola ringtone composer is awkward, the instructions lacking, and I have yet to find any decent ring tones online (contrary to the statements made by the instruction manual).

  • where do i get rind tone for the motorola v100e(v.box)

  • im tring to find a site that doed free ringtones to a motorola v100 can u help?

  • Why is the data link to a computer, not sold as an accessory. This will make it the ultimate gadget. Ade

  • have you got any ringtones and logo's for motorola v100
