This was my phone way back 2007. For almost three years, it is my phone. It contains pictures of my high school friends (with me of course), of my moments when I win contests, etc., and until I entered college. All pictures, memories, which I had never had the chance to transfer to a computer or hard copy. Now, December 2009, almost a year now, it was picked from my pocket at McDonald's. I almost regret that moment, if I never went to McDonald's my phone should still with me now. Now I wanted to buy another 5070 though I have an X6 now, just to replace the nostalgia, even though the same memories isn't in there anymore.

Nokia5070 is the latest compare to nokia6070. Base on memory Nokia6070 has only 3.2mb while nokia5070 it has 4mb and its talk time is up to 3 hours and 3 hours and 30 minutes respectively.

i've been using this phone for almost 2yrs now and yet, i haven't got any problems from it so far..its just that it really had a poor memory and camera but 1 good thing that i love from this is its battery, eversince i got this phone i never changed battery yet, its been 2yrs and its still working finely.. but just the same i wont recommend you to buy this phone especially if your a tech-ky person but if your looking for a phone that is good for sms and calls then this maybe a good phone for u..besides, its really a good phone for a cheap price..

You can't expect too much from this phone, but what made me hate this phone is the fact that it can't group contacts. So when you text multiple people you have to use 'text many' and one by one send your message to your group contacts.

It has 4.5mb of memory but only 2.5 is available for the user. Also this phone has its peculiarities. When you send Mp3 via MMS, it is converted to AMR and Pics are resized to MMS sizes, whereas when you use cables or infrared, you received files just as is.

I have owned the Nokia 5070 since Aug 07; bought in Finland. Wife owns same phone. We both are having serious problems with the key pad. Very common for button not to register being pressed; resulting in having to press up to 10 times forcefully to get any action. This is not a random happening, frequency on both phones is increasing. Will be returning the phones somehow because frustration level gets high VERY quickly. Steer clear of this phone. Getting 2 the same cannot ba a coincidence.

I had the same problem with the "self dialing" thing. The boys from Germanos told me that is a common problem on this phone. Now is back from service and is working perfectly .... for now. It's a good phone for talking, it has a very very bad camera

Hello. I bought this phone as my second set, and after 2 weeks of using it, it began self dialing, during phone call. So, this problem, is not from the soft of the phone. It's from the CPU. (this is what the guys from service from nokia-romania told me). They told me that the hole package-lot that came to romania,(thousands of phones) has the same problem. So I took my phone from the service in order to use it properly. And after they changed the micro-CPU, the self dialing problem during phone calls resolved, but another one suddently appeared. The phone continuosly used to lose signal, with no reason at all. So i took back my set at the authorised nokia service. And now, am a using a new 5070, wich seems to work properly. (i am using it, from 2 days now... let's not hurry). Anyway, dum-phone.... :) I don't recomand.. take care...

Hello. I've N5070. all working just fine but during the call i get "66666...". Has anybody solved this problem? Let's face it: this is the cheap-phone. And even though it cost around 60€. ONLY 60€. My boyfriend just bought this phone for me and I love it. I had Nokia phones in the past then I used two other brands and the phones crapped out after a year. We have digital camera's, satellite radio and an ipod so all I wanted is a good PHONE, this works great and I am especially thrilled that you can set a timer for silent mode. When I take evening courses I forget and my phone stays on silent for a week :oP Only problem- I've tried emailing my old wallpaper pic and it just tells me to check my multi media settings. oh well

I am using this mobile n found it to be very good.for moderate usage,this is the best choice. Pros: 1>FM with good reception and much better with stereo headset. 2>Easy user interface. 3>very handy. 4>Good battery backup( 2 days on moderate usage) or 3hr talktime. Cons: 1>Conectivity problem (i tried with many datacables,but unsucessful),finally done with IrDA(easy method). 2>CSTN display.(Better if it comes with TFT) 3>Sidewise volume buttons,not very handy enough. no,. this phone is nice and for people whose intention is simplicity of phone (texting and calling services) yes, it has a low memory, but a phone is normally just for simple uses.. not for camera and video nor mp3's. it goes hot immediately, of course when you use it too much, a phone needs a rest too. besides, its price fits its features!! you know, its nice a phone at its price!! if you like cameras and everything, this is not really for you, you better buy a digi cam, or mp3 instead of a phone.., a phone is for contacting people! well, don't blame nokia for it!! and, it depends on what country you are in.., those who intends to buy this, you may do so (if you intend to have a simple phone) but then, as i said, if you like those with big features like cameras, this not really for you. it is a nice phone, don't believe them because they just like its style and not the features (for that price!! oh c' mon! its affordable and nice!!).. that's my opinion,, for short,, its nice for that price

Bought this as a present for my father. It accepts small MP3 and AMR ringtones. It has an infra red port so I was able to transfer ringtones and photos from my Nokia 6131 without a single problem. Phone works beautifully has an excellent signal reception and has never crashed on him. (The phone used for this comment is made in Mexico). FM Radio signal is excellent thru the included headphones, and battery lasts long. Excellent for making/receiving calls, MMS and SMS. Low priced for those people who need a good quality, stable, long battery life phone on a budget.

I have had the Nokia 5070 for just about three weeks now and have observed that the battery life is very disappointing for brand new phone. I have to charge the phone every two days or so. The User manual says "The full performance of a new battery is achieved only after two to three complete charge or discharge cycles". This does not work at all

The phone is good for first few months but then the problem starts..Either the menu key won't work or the mobile would be sending blan sms etc. If you get it to nokia care they would ask you to wait for 20-25 days... No repair gurantee..Don't BUY!!!

I have this kind of phone, so far it's good but my only problem is the battery, it can't hold for a day..really..i have to charge..always in just one day, and the memory...it immediately become memory full..i have to erase some of my files in order to store new ones, and the phone get's hot immediately. Hi..Everybody..! I have this NOkia 5070..since last week, as for my observation, the phone gets hot immediately and i'm afraid it might explode, it on my ear. Is it safe or not? And this is very simple phone. It only have a low memory and can't store even a 1 complete song. Even the battery it can't hold a day, when i use the radio..I always charges 3 times a day when i like to listen in a radio coz it becomes empty battery immediately. I don't know what to do with this phone. Anyway, this is a good phone coz it's very simple but it can't satisfy me. Anyway, i don't discouraged people who like this phone. Buy this if you like to have a simple phone, coz it's your choice.

Nokia 5070 supports mp3, but it may not be able to contain even one song(depending on the length). Good enough to support short mp3 ringtone. Unless mp3 song is converted to amr format, it may not accomodate even one song. Does anyone know what the OS is: Java or Symbian.

N5070 is a good phone. a phone means a device you can use to, basically contact people. why judge nokia for creating a simple, low memory phone?? after all, not all people are fond of high end phone. bad comments on memory. then you better buy a digital camera or iPod instead. at least you've met your expectations. nothing fancy about the phone, as long as people can communicate with you, we'll still go back to the basic.. A GOOD PHONE! :D

the difference from 6070 is also that 5070 finally supports usb through pop-port while 6070 uses serial to usb.

If I were offered this handset even FOR FREE, I would consider buying a Nokia 6300, instead. Sorry but I love it much more, for 6300 comes equipped with much more additional features and an option of adding another microSD/TransFlash with a larger capacity. I do have a Nokia 6300, actually, and by far the only one thing I hate about it is its battery life. C'mon guys, go buy a Nokia 6300, instead, and stop thinking about this 5070. Yes, the release date of 5070 was slightly newer than 6300 but it won't promise you much. Ngerti gak sih? :-)

Oops! Allow me to say this. A MOBILE PHONE is NOT just a phone... It has to have as many distinctions as possible from a conventional phone you put down there in your table at home or in your office. All in all, it has to be superior, at least it has to be able to take pictures, play music and so on. Am I right? If I am wrong, tidak apa-apa... :-) Well, I must admit, though, that it's definitely ok and not a big deal at all for real CHATTERS (in my native language: TUKANG NGERUMPI) to just talk, talk and talk. I really do think that people are forgetting that the primary purpose of a phone is to make calls, we're too wrapped up in how many songs your phone can hold and how many megapixel camera its has, but you're never going to match the quality of an iPod or digital camera, a phone should just be a phone. ralizing that the 5070 is a basic phone, you can still do a lot better. i'd reccomend the 6085 a little bit more expensive (by about $20)you can get a robust flip phone with bluetooth. and a mini sd slot.

low end phones are for those who want a good working phone but on a budget. if you're looking for added features like bluetooth, mp3, tft screen, blah, blah, blah,...then go for the hi end models. i'm seriously considering about getting this model to replace my ever reliable 6310i. it doesn't matter if it lacks some features. i still have a 6300 anyway.

i use the 6070, and for a budget mobile it does exactly what i need...text and make calls! That's it! As for this 5070, why release it? specs are exactly the same apart from .8 more memory!!! ooooooohhhhhhh that should store....erm...uhh....3 numbers! Nice one Nokia!

Actually 6070 has been one of Nokia most successfull phones of all time, its true though that this is the same phone in different colors pretty boring but all manufacturers do the sam e thing these days.

Hmm... I thought Nokia were aiming this budget handset at the Music Phone Market? So how come it has such a tiny memory? I'm not really sure how well this handset will sell, when in essence it's just a 6070 with new colours (and the 6070 isn't exactly a popular model)

And all manufacturers know that they are a huge croud, who needs to be served. This phone does not do anything else, but serve them. And in deed it is cheaper to build them in families. Like all the platforms of Siemens, or the Motorola Triplets (V300, V500, V550, V600, V620, V80, E550, etc.), or SonyEriccson T610, T630, etc. This is part of the deal. You get similar capability and similar design in order to serve the market need, still, don't go bankrupt on the desighn cost.

compare this thing to SE's Z310,K510,K320 or W200 hands down: this one is beaten feature wise. no card slot and small memory at least should be 10Mb minimum. memory is very essential these days why nokia? have you not learn from any brands out there offering mid-high end features for a low-end phone? you have reached the max features in your E/N-series but i think you're forgetting the low-ends.

This is one small piece of...!!! Ok, maybe not so small. This cell has nothing special, so I presume it is for talkers only, but with this battery, I wouldn't count that people would buy it. The screen with its resolution and technology is ancient. Nokia heellllooo it is already 2007!!!! For now only nokia 3110 is interesting for me, though screen resolution is average.
