Hello if you wanted to copy your Mp3's into the 5510, you need to download "Another Audio Manager"(yes that's the name)it work fine with Window 7. ^_^ P.S Be patient copying the files take some time.. :/

IMHO this phone is no mp3 player, you can't just drop an mp3 file to this phone and start listening, you have to convert the file thru the Nokia software which,unfortunately, only works on Win98/Se/ME, when used in WinXP/Vista/7, the computer only recognize this phone as an USB flash drive only

I've had one of these a few years back and it was a heavy phone, but the audio quality was the best in it's class, texting was fast and comfortable, and it could even record music via FM radio and line-in, something NO phone that I know of can do today. Back then, this was awesome.

I really like this phone. this phone was given to me by my teacher because he hates to use this when he is driving. The thing that I love in this phone was its uniqueness. my classmates often call my 5510 a "remote control". and I no longer see this phone anywhere. The thing that I hate about this phone is its bulkyness. and when I drive, it's hard for me to use this phone. :D During its time, it quite amazing. Imagine, in 2001, what phone can be compared to 5110... And my classmates were amazed on this phone because at the back, it has a 3330. It has a radio and mp3 player. Wow that was such a great phone. Mp3 and FM, one of the very first one to support this. You could also record the fm and if you had a jack you could record any source as well. I loved it, but the number placed like pc-keyboard are really a pain to use.

This mobile phone absolutely rocked in due time. I was using it for almost three years and bought a new one only because after maybe 10 times I dropped this Nokia on the floor some of its plastic broke and it started looking bad. Alas, its 64MB memory could only be used for storing music thus you couldn't use that memory for transferring documents, neither you could use stored mp3 files as ring tones.

You had to translate a MP3 file to it's proprietary format. Too awkward for me. I recorded it in's proprietary format instead. Switched to Nokia 7710 the 5510 is now a backup phone (it's still working after 4 years use)

This phone really rocks! Had it for 4years, and is still in good condition. "Music lovers" simply couldn't find a better phoneback in it's days. PLUS, it has a 64MB memory storage... bigger than some of the phones released today.=p It also acts as a mass storage device, just have a data cable handy(FLASH drive anyone?). On music storage, you could also try recording the songs on the mobile. It takes a lot longer than using Nokia audio manager(you have to actually record the song),but it compresses the file size, maximizing the phone's memory. Doing this, you'll be getting around 20+ tracks, instead of the common 16-18 tracks. Audio quality depends on how and where you record. To do this, simply connect the mobile to a common stereo audio jack. set the "source's volume" to medium, and record a trial sample 1st. adjust the volume to your desired quality(reduce unwanted noise), and when you do, start recording.^^

To play music on this fone u need Nokia Audio Manager Ver 2.0 or Later and a USB port. Install the audio manager and connect ur phone with USB. This fone cant Play normal MP3 files, they should be converted to its formate first. To do this 1. Install and run Audio Manager 2. Connect Ur Phone with USB 3. In Audio Manager Click on "File" then "Add Tracks". 4. Now Select a track from ur Harddisk. 5. It will be converted and added to Library. 6. Now in Audio Manager click "Select Tracks from data base". 7. Select the tracks u want. 8. Now these Tracks will be shown on the left side of Audio Manager Screne. 9. The right side Shows tracks and space of ur Phone. 10. Now Grag Tracks from the Life Side of Audio Manager to The right side(ur Phone). 11. Track will be added. Liston n Enjoy.

Dude this phone can play songs at 128 kb/s. Its Sound quality is good. It is also stereo not mono. U have to buy A HDD2 hands with two pin connectors free to have a stereo sound. The normal Nokia hands free with one pin will give mono sound.

My Nokia 5510 is 4 years old and is working OK like in the first day !!!! Reliable is the word for it. Software has never crashed an battery never let me down. It's really incredible. Sound is fantastic and it's relaxing for its simplicity. Who din't have it doesn't know how it feels, but is lovely. Now is my second phone and I still love it for it's simply and infallible. I don't know if I would sell it. Yes, it's a classic one now!

@noname 64kb? to solve it use NAM (Nokia Audio Manager) and format your phone. @Danny Boi 16songs for CD quality music, to buff it up to 40 songs simplay adjust it to lowquality, lowquality like instead of 128kbit/s use 48kbit/s, 22,050 Hz, Stereo. like if you have a 3MB mp3 it will convert to 1.5MB. @jack not stereo? simply visit the phone features and read carefuly and try to check your headset if is an original Nokia Headset coz some other headset is monaural.

Had this phone for 3 years, but upgraded 2 years through it's life. At the time, it had great features, but the only thing I like is the fact that it has a keyboard. The 64mb memory is too small (fits only 16 songs), and the phone itself is too big and heavy. I guess it is sturdy, but I'ved moved on.

I have had this phone and then I got another connection for which I got 02's Pocket PC Phone which I thought were the best phones around but I can bet on this that the sturdiness, voice quality and the music quality is awesome. Many a times this phone came off my hands hitting the hard floor but not even a single scratch and then writing an SMS is even simpler than Pocket PC mobile. Yes 5510 RULEZ!! coz its cheaper, and we get this Stereo music, unlike other models it expensive and it only plays MONO FM. It has this MP3 Player. I love the keyboard (QWERTY)like keypads.

I guess you are using win XP. try to read the FAQ for 5510 from nokia.com it explains how to solve it. the problem comes from the win XP USB driver.

1st time i saw 5510,i think it isn't a mobile phone and I knew later that it was made by nokia. At this time 5510 is a Full Multimedia Mobile phone i've ever seen. (except a colore display and accessories) but when i touch it i can feel that it is very heavy!! i cant put it in my pants or my shirt. and it had a curve design at the back, It made me feel that it's very big than i thought. but i'll buy it for sure, if an ericsson's accessories (MP3 and FM) is overprice than 5510. Its great great music jukebox and games all rolled up to one phone... who cares abt size it doesnt matter to me.. when ure using this phone ure gonna pay 100% attention to it.. the querty keyboard is fantastic for messaging as a word will never go wrong. the recorder is magnificant u can record tunes from the radio and play it back over n over again.. fantastic phone for people with class like me.. here in singapore many people think size matters .. to me functions do so dun miss out on this one... adios!!! :)

Initially it was ok but when music facility began to act up I felt that it is a waste of my money. While transferring music from my pc to the phone it always hangs. It seems like there is something wrong with the 64MB RAM in it. Stick to your mp3 players.

Man ive never really touched a real one. But ive seen it on the net and in the shops and it is really WONKED. I mean the display is in the middle itd be really hard to use it just as a fone coz of the number placement and if u try to press q, u'd probably press q,w,1,2,a&s at the same time. I say stick with a normal interface fone or a communicator if u must type with a keyboard.

I think that in this moment ther's no others mobile that can offers what 5510 can give. It's obvius that is larger than others but i don't think it's a problem.Typing message require 2 hands work but it's faster than T9 and what we have to do in the same time that we type a SMS...i think this need attention! I have used 12 Nokia phones and 5 phones from others companies. The Nokia 5510 is my 18th phone in about a year and I must say that its the best I've ever used. It not a bulky as it looks in the pictures and performance is good. It certainly provided much better value for money than the Siemens SL 45. Go for it !

I bought this phone but took it back - heres what i thought and why: 1-the Software that comes with the phone is TEDIOUSLY SLOW for sorting files, it was not my pc just crap software so SLOW you have to wait 20 seconds just for it to scroll through your list of tracks! Awful. 2 - 150 sms it says on this site and 220 calendar notes - wrong - same as 3330 which means sim specific sms (usually 10-20) and just 10 reminders... 3 - the battery cover is dodgy - very awkward to remove and put on, not something that gets easier 4 - Just too bulky in the hand, sms typing is not very fast, have to use 2 hands- T9 is much quicker. On the plus side the mp3 music quality is excellent and the radio is good too. But for me this does not make up for poor design or the terrible software. Only for those who are desparate for mp3+radio and dont mind the above niggles.

this phone is very very feature rich > in terms of hardware. the only downside is too heavy!!! and big. I like the feature but not design tou. the price is cheap but not cheap enuf. nokia has difficulty in selling this phone as a start and even in this xmas seasons. I think the price will fall to very cheap and that's when i will consider getting one. btw you can kill someone with this piece of brick, which is good for self protection.

i have seen this in the shop, quite cheap but it's HUGE and HEAVY. not good as a mobile phone but great for kids. Selling at �99 in shop i think it's not worth it. Unless it's free but only needs contract will justify its value better.

I keep having a look at this one. Ok yes the look is very unusual, but, its not that huge. The keyboard makes it look bigger. Features are excellent, 64mb mp3/AAC which will give 2 hours of music!The SL45 only has 32mb and the mmc cards are VERY expensive(�79.99 for 32mb!) AND a radio...ahhhh and its cheap on contract..If ONLY Nokia had made it like a "normal" phone a bit smaller it would have sold Like SH*T!! Could have been legendary. Still very good, just too big for pocket. Tempting.

My 5510 doesnt have a composer! It's made in Germany... i'm not sure in the asia models. Also, the keypad is screwed up... some keys do not correspond to the symbol that comes out. Like if i press shift and the number 2, according to the keypad print, it's supposed to be an upside down question mark but a @ comes out... there's something really wrong!!! DONT BUY IT... just wait for a fixed version!

It may be a limited release but his is SUCH a good combination - i hate little credit card phones you can lose, and can't type on. Nokia 5510 is a great phone. Sure it's a bit big but who cares? It depends on whattype of person you are. It's not exactly the same as 3310 because it has a 64 mb MP3 player, FM radio and a full keyboard. About the vibration; won't it have vibrating batteries sold seperately? P.S. Well... This phone is U G L Y , it is basically a 3330 with a mp3 player, same old shit, 8 voice Dials, 5 SAME games, 100 numbers in phone, Message templates, 35 ringtones.... IT IS A GAMEBOY just like everyone has mentioned !!! Nokia just cant make the perfecr Mp3 phone, SIEMENS SL45i is the way to go, trust me people, i have one and it is amazing.
