Excellent little phone extremely robust , excellent camera quality at 5mp..better than modern cheapo smart phones.. and sound quality on music is better than most £100+ smart phones, these are an excellent buy , bung in an 8 or 16 gig card and buy some mini usb headphones as these phones have the mini usb 'b' port under the black cap on the top of the phone ..just hook it up via usb to your pc and send you music files to the phones memory card and you have a great music player,a superb quality phone,and a passable camera in a small and very reliable package,,and it won't break if you drop it unlike an i phone,..beware standard 3.5mm headphones will not fit ...2.5mm for some daft reason is used on this phone ...

I've had the phone for nearly four years, and I have taken some awesome pictures with it. Two years ago, the camera button came off and I have not been able to have it fixed. Now, I have to use the camera on timer when I want to take a photo, and I cannot capture any videos. Actually, I could not do so successfully even before the button came off; it used to stop working. As a phone with a camera, in one word, it is excellent.

THIS phone is very good if we consider camera and flash. Also in case of modem usage it is best one. however it is too much sensitive to moisture or water droplets. Especially the power key. If the key comes in the contact with water immediately it starts functioning abnormally. The only way in such cases it to replace the flex (the electronic strip that joins LCD & Front keys to main body). flex is however costly and costs around 1200rs. This is because the flex comes along with front camera.

This is a nice phone but it has negative side on it.It has no gsm mode in it's network setting.The moment that i'm in travel it's getting hot and it take my battery fast..But when you are in stationary it's ok.so when i'm in moving situation i change to another phone..when i'm in the house or stationary it's good.I have a lot of celpon so i have no problem at all.i still like this 6700s becos i can text more faster on keys celpon than my iphOne4s and my iphone5..for me keys cellphone is still my favorite.for the internet and picture nothing beat the iphone....

Hey - its a great fone and it can do most everything. The camera has a good flash and is AUTOFOCUS which is very good so picture quality is excellent. Only bad thing is that phone memory is only 45MB storage which is really too small. But you can use microsim for big storage stuff anyway. They are still selling them here in S Africa.

You may need to replace the flex cable. My buttons and the microphone didn't work for me(including the red button) and I replaced that and it worked like a charm.

This is one of the most disappointing phone models I have ever owned. Within months, it starting hanging up frequently and restarting on its own. Since it has a metallic outer casing, it used to get hot (trust me, abnormally hot that it hurt my ears) while making a call. At first, it didn�t use to hang up that often but soon, it become more frequent. I gave it for repair to an authorized Nokia care since it wasn�t responding and was showing a white screen �restart failed. Please contact retailer�. They probably did a hard reset and wiped all data. I had to give it two more time for repair to Nokia care for the same problem. I paid Rs2500 for power ac strip hardware on my second visit. The third time I gave my phone; they messed up with the whole internal circuitry, and told me they couldn�t repair it since it has some motherboard problem. Now when I switch on my phone, I get a white blank screen with a black circle on it. Like the one shown in the �Ring movie�. The best part is Nokia care people don�t accept any responsibility on your phone repair. I�ve lost my faith in Nokia (I�d been a long time Nokia loyalist, but not anymore), thrown away this junk phone, and bought a Samsung Galaxy Y Duos phone which seems to be working amazingly good. No wonder the world has moved on to Android based phones. Trust me, they are much better, faster and cheaper.

I don't think so coz i usually have 3-4 apps running simultaneously and it works just fine, although not that fast. And btw you have to take into account the internal memory of this mobile which is pretty low as well. So i would advise you to have a memory management software, preferrably Netqin MobiGaurd which is free as well as highly efficient. As far as smileys are concerned, they are available under the name of Emoticons in Create Message. And if you still can't find them then you need to make sure that you are having the latest version of firmware installed on your handset, which should be 071.004. And I agree with you, this is a nice phone!

The only shortcomings experienced are that the phone hangs when two or three applications are running concurrently, and also goes off on its own and sometimes refuses to turn on...also amazed that it doesnt have smileys. Otherwise its a good phone

I have been using this phone for 2 years. It is good for a camera freak. Its awesome camera capabilities come at the cost of some other basic features. There is no external volume control button. The software doesn't provide some very small features which are usually supposed to be implicit for the phones of lower cost brackets. You cannot scroll songs in music player with the earphone button. Its loudspeaker volume has deteriorated greatly over the years.

I've had this fone for 2 years now and its never failed me. The camera is good and the voice quality is also good. Its got a really loud ring tone which is great as I work sometimes in noisy places.Screen size is smaller than newer phones, but thats OK for me. Reliability is 100%. Emails and internet work fine too. Get it !

If you are in need of a replacement headset try asking for a 2.5mm Nokia headset. That may get you better results as Nokia made several phones with a 2.5mm headset instead of the 3.5mm ones.

After i updated my sw to version 71, i still enjoy the great improvements it made to my cell, more powerful camera, better music player, fast internet(even with a full 16gb card) and charges through the micro usb port. I use my cell as a handy digicam and ipod everyday. I really enjoy the music player very much after updating my sw. You can feel the n series music player very much specially with a good headset. hi guyz! To update your software, you must install nokia software updater on your pc. With a usb cable connect your cel to your pc and open the sw updater program. Then it will automatically search for the latest sw available for your cel. Install the sw when the program found it. Cheers guyz!

hi guyz! Just want to share something, i upd8ed my software to version 71 and some of the great improvements i noticed are: 1. The camera became much more powerful. 2. Internet browsing became much more faster. 3. You can feel the n series music player much better, better than your old n series unit music players. 4. Emoticons was added in messaging just like the features found in latest models. 5. It now supports usb charging unlike the old version of the software. If you want to enjoy these lovely new features, i suggest you upgrade your software to this version. Cheers guyz!

a very weak phone with a stupid very loose slide. everytime seems like it is going to break apart. no wifi 2.5 mm audio jack. useless camera in lowlight even with dual led flash. drop it once from 10 inches and it will stop working forever. just battery backup is good and camera is not bad in daylight. otherwise it is really not usable with an absolete os.

Had this phone 6 months now. The camera and video functionality is good. The web browsing experience is good. Its capable of 3.5G speeds and its fast! Its has nice Youtube and Facebook apps too. Nice music player as well. Sound quality from the speaker is good! The phone design is sleek n modern plus the sliding mechanism is better than its predecessor Nokia 6500 slide (fyi i've used this one too). The screen is clear even during the day with the sunlight glare since it has a automatic screen brightness adjuster. Keypad is a bit too small for my fingers but should be ok for most of ya'll i guess. Overall its an awesome phone if not for its stupid battery life. The battery lasts approximately a day on normal usage. If you are surfing the web or watching Youtube - maximum life for the battery is 40 mins! Yes you read it correctly 40 mins only!!! For normal daily usage it has to be charged everyday. The battery specs is crap - Li-Ion 860 mAh!!(fyi the old sister phone Nokia 6500 slide had a 950 mAh!) I dont understand since this should be an upgrade for the 6500 slide, NOKIA have made everything right except the most important thing that is the BATTERY life!!! It has better capabilities (apps, better web browser, it even has a f*cking 600mhz processor in it but they went and put a lower capacity battery in it!!! You can forget about web surfing or watching Youtube unless you have a charger beside you. Mentioning all these.. the recharging period is fast, as it takes only 30-40 mins to fully recharge the battery from a near empty battery. But still? How if you are on the run or you don't have a power point beside U? My conclusion: It is a good phone for stylishness, camera and music player.

This is my digicam and ipod in one. What i love about this phone is the 5mpix camera and its awesome N series music player. You can see how great its music player when you connect it to your stereo system, i am using a 3.5mm adapter to connect it to my stereo system. This unit can play 3 1hr cd without almost any drop in its battery. I don't know if any Android phone can do that, heheh! 'Sup? I have had this mobile for 7 months, and I still love it until now. The camera is still clear, the music player is still good, we can watch youtube videos. For 'unlimited' message saving use memory card, of course. XD Anyway, I don't really have a problem with typing. Oh it's fragile though. I have dropped this phone for few times and there are deep scratches here and there, but I suppose that's my fault, but still, I used to have nokia 6120c and dropped it for hundred times, but it didn't have the scratch as deep as this one, except when I dropped it from the moving vehicles. xD What else? Ah the battery. It doesn't last long especially if you have application like WhatsApp or something of the sorts which has to connect to internet all the time and it sucks cause it means that we can't use this phone whilst we are going on the long journey by car. :p oh the last, but not least, it's quite hard to take a picture. You have to a skill...lol I kid. You have to press the...damn, I forget the English word. XD it's really good ovearall. Oops, I am rambling, aren't I?

i am using this phone for last 4 mnts. The camera, music and software and software speed (as a symbian) is very good...but, battery and messaging is nt so pleasent at all. Keyboard mapping is nt good. Hard to type for long. And also, its a very thick phone...nt so smart for these days..after all this, i like it...u can go for it...especially music and camera is nice. i bought it at 2010 july, hanged when i recieved a call at about 3 month's time, turned off by itself in 6 months' time. went to nokia repair centre, checked. they said maybe software problem. got back the phone. next day, turned off again. went back to centre, they changed the main board and the battery. after 5 months, the phone turned off again, got hanged when people called, then turned off again. nokia has lost its own reputation!

Hi owners! I bought this phone yesterday, and my problem is when I recieve a message it does not come up with the sender's name (all my contacts are saved in the phone memory and not doubled up). I already tried everything, but it seems it can not set. I had a Nokia 6500 slide before, and I didn't have such similar "problems" with that phone. I thought this is a newer edition, it is natural that it displays the sender when the message comes. Now, the 6700 only writes out: 1 new message, but whom? So, your 6700 is the same or just mine has this problem? I have read all the comments, no one nowhere wrote about it, but there were already questions about it, just no answers. i've had this device for 10 months now, i bought it along with c5. I can say that the cam of this device is better than c5, but performance and software stability of 6700s is downright awful. The 6700s lacks volume rocker, so the music player interface is lyk s40v2. This 6700s have many issues .

i have found a solution.. if the phone is on umts network then it performs ok no hanging and no other problem but if it is on gsm net work then the problem arises ,... some time dual mode in network settings also give problems... i am in confusion wheather its a hardware problem or a firmware problem...

This is my simple ipod and digicam all in one. I love music and i use this phone as an ipod, which can play three 1hr cds without any loss in battery life. Plus, the music player in this phone is excellent, perhaps the same as the music player found in X6 and 5800, good audio quality. The only problem is the 2.5mm audio jack, you need to use a good converter to connect it to your stereo or your 3.5mm headphone. But i found a good one. I recommend this phone to all music lovers out there even though it is not a music phone. The picture quality in using this phone is also great. Try it guys! Cheers nokia!

Nokia 6700 slide is a very gud mobile 2 use. It seems like ipod wen its slider is not opened. Camera quality is pretty awesome. It is a gud ph provided u make d best use of it. It has got lots of applications which can be dwnloaded from mobile software sites.

Well,. It is been almost a month since I wrote here. That was because I hadn´t had the phone in my hands all this time. I happened that finally the fragile MICROUSB of my phone broke. I take the phone to the authorized support, and after lots of turn around, they gave me a new device in replace. So, my recommendation regarding 6700s: BE CAREFULL WITH THE MICROUSB PORT. AVOID USING IT, BETTER SYNCRONICE BY BLUETOOTH. IF YOU HAVE TO USE IT, DO WITH LOTS OF CARE, IT IS VERY VERY FRAGILE.

I have Nokia 6700s (Raw Aluminium). Awsome mobile phone and very well meterial used for making it. Slider is very well and smooth. Camera is great in 5MP resolution. 600MHz with Symbian^3 works superb and fast. Nice multitask handling. Sound quality is good. With 2.5mm to 3.5mm jack extension, you can attach every devices, i.e. Headphones, Woofer, Home Theatre, Car Aux, etc. Battery backup time is average maximum 2days with taxting and average calling. A little drawback(s) of this mobile phone is,are NO WIFI, NO AGPS. But with 3.5G of data service you will not feel these drawbacks. Autorotation only works in Gallery. Signel reception is great. Keypad is nice for texting. A range of nice colours casing. Best price tag for these functions.

In my opinion it's a great phone and really worth buying I don't say there are not better phones,but I think you can't find a better one with this price.nokia x3 is not as good as 6700s you know x3's camera is 3.2 and it doesn't have an OS,one of my friends has x3 and i think pictures are not clear and bright.but about x3-02 touch and type i don't have any information i just say i like it and i just THINK it is very similar to 6700s.x6 is more expensive than 6700s and the biggest differences are that x6 is a touchscreen phone and it's OS version is higher than 6700s but i can say they have lots of similarities ,absolutely not in design.even 6700s's digital zoom is more than x6.when i wanted to buy my cell phone x6 was one of my choices and 6700s was the other. I chose 6700s because of the price and because i wanted a small phone and having a touchscreen was not important for me.if you want to spend more money you can have better ones.i hope my information was helpful.

Hello skipper. about your question i have to say that I don't use the micro USB as much as you,but somehow i use it frequently,it depends sometimes i don't use it for a week and sometimes i use it twice a day,but in this 5 months i can say I've used it a lot specially in the first two months,and since the time i bought it i haven't had a problem with the USB jack,but i have to say that i always use these kind of electronic devices with a great care.my brother has a Nokia too(he bought it 5 years ago it's N82) but he doesn't have this problem either.

I totally agree with you unicorn. But, I have noticed ,(and I wanted to check it with you, that is already 5 month since you bought it�) that the micro USB jack is very fragile. Day by day increases my fear of to be broken it when I plug or unplug� As I synchronize between the phone and two computers, I plug/unplug like 4 times/day� I have read that nokia has this problem in several phones. Have you noticed something?

It's about 5 months that i have this phone and i"m totally satisfied with it.with this price you cant have a better one.for me the having an OS is really important because i install lots of softwares games and themes on my cell phone and this one is great. it's Symbian ^3 but sometimes i can install Symbian ^5 games and themes on it.the camera is a real 5 MP and pictures are great.for listening to music it's not bad it is not a music phone but the voice quality is good and about the voice recorder it has a very powerful recorder and i use it a lot.in my opinion it is a great phone. i agree it doesn't have a very beautiful design but that doesn't matter for me very much

Then the last question is this; is it possible to switch off the T9 texting function on the phone and just text one letter at the time (normal you can change that with the # key on your keypad.Due to the fact this phone has no smiley's; you could still text ; - ) for example to send one. Of course the phone gives you a warning when you receive a text message. It does beeping, envelope and gives name of sender on screen. But it is true that it doesn´t count messages in inbox (unless mine not...);but I never get it full (or a warning), and I have lots of messages�

Hello, They told me that this phone has no emoticons. But can you still make a 'smily-face' when texting letter by letter? And the other thing that i really would like to know. I read that this phone wil not give you a warning when you receive a text message. (so you see no envelope on screen); you always have to check your inbox for new messages. About the NOKIA 6700S, I have bought it two months ago and I amazed: It is letting me avoid carrying the laptop everywhere because I can check mail (and compose of course), I can log in facebook and msn, check the weather, track my position, etc, all at the same time due to symbian multitasking. In the office I can synchronize by bluetooth or USB and I use it as a 3G modem for the notebook by bluetooth, I don´t even need to plug it. Furthermore, in spite of it is slide and one can think is fragile, it is not the case. By accident it already fall three or four times and it doesn´t have any mark. Those who look for great and incredible music in a phone (and like to be in the bus making noise), this is not the phone for you. This phone is a Smartphone, and surely people like you won´t appreciate what it is (if you know what it is�). I recommend this phone for work, it really worth the money. Is like having a small netbook in your pocket.

Really I had a worst time on using this phone. very often the settings changes automatically. Times always goto 5.30. I don't know why? Also sound quality is not upto the mark. Battery backup - Worst. Standby time they have mentioned a lot but it is coming only for 7 to 8 hours. talk time approximately 1 hour. I have taken to the Nokia care. They updated the software. But the stand by time is same. When I wanted to change the battery , They say it costs around 1400.00 I was eagerly waiting for this C5. But totally disappointed on all aspects. Even navigation doesn't work properly.

had this phone for about 3 months, not even actually. and due to being dropped only twice, on grass, it doesn't work anymore, it wont let me do anything because the down scroll button is automatically on and wont turn off. Since i got it it has been extremely slow to open apps at times, and regularly had to turn it off and take the battery out before turning it back on just so i could open the camera, the camera is so slow, takes the pic after about 5 seconds if you're lucky. crap phone i wouldn't suggest buying it

C5 in white or 6700 slide in purple. I have the C5 (white color), very nice phone but it has 3 negatives issues. 1stit has a vey poor screen visibility when observed in direct sunlight, 2nd in case you observe the screen from a left angle you get a normal view but when you observe it from a right angle you get a blur screen. Finally you dont get a notification lamp when you have a message or a missed call. Appart from these issues its a nice phone. I think the 6700 slide does not have these issues.

had this phone for a year now, free on the tariff I an on, but I don't like it, I brought it for its radio, nice feature I thought, but the radio will not work through the headphones, not good in the office!! Another problem i had had recently is battery charging, my battery is not good now 9does not hold charge) but I cannot charge it from the USB socket like EVERY other phone I have had, ssems you have to carry the charger with you, but that will not work in the Car. Will be changing this as soon as my 18 months are up.

i have bought this mobile on sep 24. i read the reviews and bought it for its features. but the mobile had issues with headset. no audio output in headset and mobile freezes while using headset.i went to nokia care 6 times including today. they even send it to head office. it was returned back to me with same issues. i have submitted again. it might be a fault with just this piece. so check it before u buy it. and one more thing came clarity is good but the picture blurs with slightest hand shakes.

This phone has a light sensor which is adjustable if it sees the ambient light as being dark the keypad will light up.In a way this is energy saving except the light sensor burns power too.

Hi guys, have been using this cell for 4-5 months now. in the starting its bit frustating becos of the main issue that the software its having is outdated..so pls when u get the new cell, connect to net and download the latest software for the same from nokia site. most of the problems will be solved by then. Camera is good n day, but the quality is not dat good n nite when pics r taken frm a distance. Memory card not showing is a genuine problem, which you have to tak it ut and place it agian to solve the problem. overall, its nt bad a phone in the budget given u knw hw to use a smart phone rather than only downloading crap sofwares in it

it is better only in the part of camera, but useless using 2.5mm audiojack. 6700 donot contains gps and also pushmail option, nd battry life is also not good compared to c5, nd it costs 2000 xtra than c5. my advice to buy c5

Hi, I bought this phone beleiving that Nokia phones are durable. Sadly within one week of purchasing it the phone shut off on its own and refused to switch on. I sent it to Nokia service center who after a delay of a month handed me another phone of another body color!! It's outrageous because the new phone is equally bad in terms of connectivity and stability... For anyone even thinking of wasting money on this phone...Please take my advice...YOU DESERVE BETTER!!

hi everyone, i just wanna ask if it can record videos in 30fps or in QVGA settings. All i know is it can playback videos with 30fps but cannot record in that speed cause it is in VGA default settings for video recording which is capable only of capturing scenes at 15fps..I found it very hard searching in internet about this concern so I'm begging you all who have this kind of phone before I decide to buy it.Thanks a lot!!!

By coincidence I wrote about n8 today, talking about value for money or not. My friend bought this phone today, and it was a complete disaster from opening the box. First it froze upon country selection normal symbian set up, then a very obvious pixel element had blown in middle of screen! What a load of over priced junk! And I thought the 5230 was poor with it's cheap plastic assembly, last time anything Nokia horrid stuff, remember when Nokia built top notch phones what happened?

Yes manoj even I am facing the same problem the camera quality is really poor. i also read that its camera is equivalent to 1.3 MP. Why did nokia compromise with camera quality in a camera phone??? Also whats your opinion about sound quality. For me its volume is very low. I can hear the surrounding traffic while listening to music. What about you??

Don't go for this phone.... IT SUCKS !!! go for Nokia C5 its a awesome phone but only thing you have to compromise is CAMERA C5 has got 3.2MP whereas this one got 5mp... but 6700 has not got GPS and 3.5mm audio jack. But you will find GPS and 3.5mm jack in C5 and 6700 cost 9500 where as C5 costs around 7800 in INDIA. Better go for C5..... C5 ROCKS!!!!

hi folks..... i have been usinh this phone for nearly 5 months....i bougt it from bahrain..... its an awesome phone....snappy......so i doesn't eat ur time....web browser is just fab.....it gives u the real experience....loads complex pages easily....and who dares to complaint abt the camera.....its supposed to be one of the best 5 mp phones in the market.....video quality is a bit poor though.....flash is good and images appear vivid and realistic........PRICE IN INDIA IS RS 9900.....

I have used HTC Touch it was nice, fir cam quality i cant suggest you but make sure dont but NOKIA. I think nokia used recycle parts in new phones. NOKIA quality is too poor.

I myself have bought this set a mere 3 months back. At first the phone seemed too good. It was after a while that I noticed my enhancement settings did'nt work. Whenever I connected my phone with the headset..no sound came. Moreover I was really distressed to find that the nokia center I bought my phone from shook responsibility..saying that it was a defective set. Now recently my phone does'nt ring if a text appears. Instead I have to check my Inbox a million times a day to find if it has been updated with new texts or not. This is my 3rd nokia phone and never have I faced such problems in so less time. What pissed me off was that this phone costs a fortune..and nokia should be bearing the brunt instead of just looking the other way. Well one thing is for sure..I'l never be buying another nokia again.

Yes Sure Sir, I had purchased NOKIA 6700 Slide (Silver Colour)on 1st August 2010. From Day 1 i was facing Low Battry backup, Slow processing and Memory card not detecting issues. When i approced to NOKIA Servic Center located at Dwarka New Delhi India. they had sent My Nokia set to Nokia Head Office for reparing,after 15 days i had received my call and when i checked the problem was still same then, again they send my set nokia head office. Now 19th Sep finally they have changed my set but the set is not the new one they have given to me and the secound main issue is i have purchased silver colou set and they have given me grey colou, when i asked nokia about this isse they told me we dont have the policy to provide the same colour set. Now I am sure u can guess at urslef... this is the secound mobile i have purchased and facing these problems. But know i have decided "NEVER BUY NOKIA"

If you compare this to the famous N95, this one has no wi-fi and no GPS, but it has faster processor and it is three times cheaper. Most other things are the same as N95. Looks like good value for money!

I've used this for about two weeks now, so I have no right to speak about durability, but so far I've found it to be a very solid, good phone. It has a very nice sliding mechanism, and is smaller than most phones on the markert today. Also, it has a very good interface, and the contacts bar is easy on the eyes. Music player and camera are Nokia standard issue (about N-series standard but not quite). For some people, that may either be good or bad news. They both serve their purpose well though. Aside from the screen timeout being slightly too short for my taste, I have no problems with the phone, and would suggest it to anyone looking for a non-touch smartphone that won't bust your wallet.

I think NOKIA is producing 3rd class mobile phone, I have purchased NOKIA 6700 Slide on 1st august, From Day One its processig is verry slow, low batery and memory card not working. And The Service center service of Nokia is also 3rd Class. I would never recommned any buddy to buy any nokia phone in india.

This is the worst phone ever!!! If only it would work! I purchased Nokia 6700slide 9 days ago, I put battery in - the phone didn't power on; went back to shop, they said it was faulty and replaced it - now, 8 days later I cannot open my contacts. wi-fi facility is not available in this phone. But overall its a gr8 feature set for the price. It has a very good camera. nokia c5 is a better option if you don't prefer good camera. It has all the features of this phone, but the camera is 3.2 MP.

I have this since 07-19-10. This phone is great. For a phone with such many features, the battery life is great. It is almost perfect. I personally think that if only this phone has wifi, this would be one of the greatest phone that nokia had invented.

i bought nokia 6700 slide 2 weeks before. my phone's video recording is not working well. Nigh mode in video recording is not working well. I saw no difference from automatic mode when i turn on night mode. so resulting in a very dark video under low light conditions. My phone is giving dark videos even under moderate ligh conditions. Another problem is with its light sensitivity. Its not working well. under high iso in low light conditions my phones camera become dark and normal alternatively resulting in a very dark image. i updated my phones firmware still there is no change. i took my phone to nearest service center and they said they are helpless and this is 6700 slides common issue.

This is the best nokia phone I have had. The things I love. The key pad is great. The keys are perfectly close together vertically, so when you text its awesome. Also when you get a missed call there is no side lights on the phone that flash so I can ignore my missus, but on my last 2 nokia including the 6300 this was there, so you have to ring her back or she whinges. The phone connects to the network as quickly as the older phones did, if not QUICKER. When you put the phone on to charge if your battry dies it takes no time at all before you can redial. Also talking on the phone is amazing, as with the slider on its just right to rest on your chin proper, and without the slider it is just short and wide enough to hold nicely in your hand, the non slide phones are definately worse. I would give this one a hit. I am going to try and swap my friends over to this phone I love it so much. Also sometimes the phone just amazes me with its brilliantly fast texting speeds and capabilities!!!!!

your apps were probably installed on the memory card. The shake of the fall caused the card to get disconnected. Switch the phone off, reinsert the micro sd card properly and switch back on, should hopefully do the job!

Guys I have this phone only a month...but I can assure you IT'S THE WORST NOKIA PHONE EVER! Oldest Nokia phones are much better than this. Very often it crashes (sometimes it cannot recognize the handsfree, sometimes the radio does not work and so many others..) so I have to take of the battery and reboot it. And also...the menu is very slow, the battery does not last for more than 1 day (when you use the radio)....so DO NOT BUY IT!!!

The phone hangs up frequently. System is slow to log on. Camera is good. But you make too many sacrifices for the sake of the camera. Vote for either Nokia 6303 classic or Nokia C5. More sensible buys!

Very happy with this phone, great sound, picture quality, music player, everything seems top quality. Good battery life too. Only downside is that most features have to be programmed by the user to bring the phone to previous Nokia look and style. Took me a few hours of trial and error to get it right. Only thing I dont seem to be able to change is the sshh noise when I open and close the slide...anyone know how this is turned off??? :-)

I just got this phone yesterday. Haven't really tried it all out yet so I can't say much about it yet. But one thing I found that I didn't know at all before buying it (even after reading a lot of reviews and specs) is that the video call camera can be used as a secondary camera! My old phone was a Nokia phone too and I always hated how I couldn't use the front camera for taking pictures. Even though the quality of the front camera isn't too good, but it's great to have a front camera for taking pictures!

I am a heavy phone user when it comes to texting and calling, but I do not use internet or playing music. I am really enthusiastic when the camera and display screen is good and beautiful, and I would also like to know the structure quality when it comes to the slide of the phone, whether it is somewhat loose or what. Well...theres not really any major problem with the battery...the only thing is tht it fits a little loosely, but after u place the back cover, its not a problem at all. I wont say its the best phone, cuz it lacks a few things...but it certainly is a very good one!

My 6700 slide is always struck!!!!! Sometimes, there is no output from earphone and in order to resolve it, you'd better take off the battery. Imagine it, anytime you can't hear through your earphone, take the battery off!!!! oh! god. but the other features are user-friendly as well.

Ok Guys, Here i am with some experience hands on. I am using this phone last 7 days its simply superb. Every phone has limitations so as this one. If you kindly setup your mind that you can compromise a little like with wifi, GPS, Huge Display then this little fella does a lot. Its camera works quite great when i compare with my old N73. Its flash range is 1meter or 1.5 maximum. Night shoty are good not impressive but alright every way. Video is average nothing complain day time video recording is alright with 15 frame per second VGA format. Battery lasts for 2.5 days with 20 minutes talk, 20/25 minutes radio and music player and 20/25 minutes bluetooth/usb using / data transfering , playing games etc. One more thing i like to mention the ambient light sendor really works brother. In day light in bright sunlight and also less sunlight zone the main screen and menu screen where ambient light sensor really performs well. So even if the sunlight legibility is not good like many models this ALS mode really helps a lot. Sound is alright even it produced in a single speaker it is fully stereo. Equalizers works all them have effects you can clearly differentiate but with a good headphone sound clarity and bass, trebble along with equalisers settings works great. Thats all for now. I am gathering necessary softwares for this fella. I hope i will find quickoffice, oxford dictionary, blaklist, divx, smart movie and so on. So guys buy this phone and enjoy this little fella, it wont disapoint you. Regards Deba

I found this annoying too! Such a loud melody when u switch the fone on. Well, i dont know how to decrease the volume, but i do know how to completely silent it so that theres no sound when switching on the fone. In the menu, go to settings- settings - general - personalization - Tones....over here switch the "warning tones" off.

Yes this fone does support java applications. I know some websites like getjar dont recognize the model. Maybe because its a new model. But u can download apps from nokia's ovi store. Try searching for applications u need over there.

Brother Abhi, Slider has options so you can have oppertunity to choose whether it will be autolock or ask for permission. Still whatever option you choose it will autolock after few while. But you can easily unlock it with three key combination i.e. end button+left top key +right top key. I am still analysing it day light picture is quite good and clear but not yet tested at night will answer regarding this later. The supply headset surely worst but just with a price of Rs.250 simply got an outstanding headset along with 2.5 to 3.5 mm audio converter and with it sound, trebble, bass are really good. Good Nseries like gallery which automateically rotate thats a nice touch. So thats all for now; just waiting to see how the battery plays with a moderate usage. Hope for best. Regards Deba

Brother Yesterday i brought 6700s blue colour. Its fantastic. Like to share few with you. Good : Nice display, nice sound output, smooth slider, good metal finish and compact size, display is not good enough to view under direct sunlight, loudspeaker sound moderate not too loud nor less, headphone especially if you able to find a 2.5 to 3.5 converter for headset sound output is really good, menu transition is good enough, too much fast response, good gallery view Nseries like, xcellent camera,can smoothly install any 3rd party software, theme, games works like a charm. Bad : slider keylock sometims annoying, sound output could have been better, display size could have been bigger, vga could be 30frame, gps would be fine, battery could be more powerful. Even if these pros and cons i personally feel its an amazing phone in its price range. So people who seeks a moderate standard phone with standard multimedia, themes, camera and with symbian fp2 they can opt it. Regards Deba

please dont waste ur money on this phone. there is a problem with the slide the home button , call button and the left key, the left navigation key is not responding. the phone is only one month old. im really disappointed with nokia , the quality and after sales service has definitely gone down. no wonder other phones are better

hey 6700 is the best . You have symbian o.s in it which means you can play all videos directly . It also supports youtube flashplayer . It does have a keypadlock but no inbox lock(by default) but you can install a software named advanced device lock for locking inbox.

omg...........i love love love this phone....i even got rid of my crappy nokia 5800 to have this one in hot pink but of course. now i cant really fault it but the 2.5mm audio jack did really pi*s me off coz i literally didnt notice until i was just about to put my standard headphones in. camera is really good and crystal clear. i just got so sick of my touchscreen and every1 has a touchscreen phone these day, now u'd b more unique if DIDN'T have a touchscreen phone. in my opinion, u must go on with the nokia 5230 bcoz : 1.it gives the pleasure of touchscreen but 6700 slide doesn't.(with 1" larger diaplay) 2.both have almost the same features (lack wi-fi) 3.5230 is cheaper than nokia 6700 slide 4.has - proximity sensor for auto turn-off - accelerometer sensor for ui auto-rotate - handwriting recognition which is the best!!!! you can play motion sensor games. its great but, for good sound=nokia 5230 (with 3.5 mm jack used in most audio devices nowadays) & for good camera=nokia 6700 slide (with 5mp and flash) so go with nokia 5230!

No this phone doesnt have thread sms but you can download ehandysoft thread sms or conversations software from betalabs.nokia.com . c5 is also a good phone but only difference is there are 5 mp camera and screen autorotate for 6700 slide at a better price

got this phone 1 month ago , superb cpu speed 600 MHz,3g data transfer , good 5 megapixel camera , improved slider and best at its cost . Any phone when at its initial firmware (software version) will have few or less bugs , even my 5800 when at 40.00.xx has a music player bug that doest mean that the phone is problematic these bugs can be removed by software upgrades . This phone is the best at its cost and i recommend" YOU CAN BUY THIS PHONE "

Fantastic phone. Got it 1 month. Nothing but pro's. Smart and easy sms, clear income calls, nice screen, very easy email-setting, good camera with zoom, very handy slide, handy keyboard, adjustable smartkeys on screen, compact, goodlooking, OVI, rather low SAR. Cons: no chrono. Had a Nokia E71 before: good phone, but rather small keys, a bit large and high SAR. Last phone: HTC HD2: fantastic sreen, nice pictures. Touch was rubbish. Sorry. Never more a touchscreen. With cold fingers, it starts typing without touching. Windows blocks every week. Sms sometimes waits two days before sending or switches between letters and ciphers without asking. Worst phone I ever had.

I am happy with this mobile , there are no problems with this phone and 16gb sd card runs fast.ive checked the slide too , it is good and improved .i am sending all these replys using 6700 slide (airtel)it is also good at power management .lasts 2 days if using edge.

yes compared to 5800 , 6700 has faster cpu speed .and 6700 has good music output too.
