I was already a fan of this phone but it just became the best budget phone in my country. 1. The are only 3 other phones that rival its performance: Realme 3, Honor 10 Lite and Nokia 5.1 Plus. 2. A lot of users are saying that it's a problem with stock launcher, not touch panel. Download Evie Launcher or Nova Launcher from playstore and see if it works.

To all you guys, who complain about the wobbling charging port issue, here is a tip to protect the port from damaging. The problem is caused not by the charging port itself, but from the stock usb type-c cable, which comes with the phone. If you look carefully, you will notice that the plastic spacer inside the type-c port of the cable, is thinner than it should be, and this prevents the firm attachment of the cable edge inside the port. Try another cable and you will see huge difference!

My most common issue for Nokia 7 plus is unresponsive touch in the bottom part of screen that makes the navigation bar useless. It only happens when I close the phone while an app is still open.

There are some users which pointed out that it could be an issue with Stock launcher. If you use any other launcher from Play Store, you don't encounter these issues. I am using Flick launcher (its one of the best ad free launchers out there). No issues noticed so far. You can try with Nova launcher too. Hopefully it will work for you...

HMDGlobal is fully aware of the problems with the Novatek panel. If they were a reputable company then they would begin a recall program to replace all the units with the defective units but they prefer to hide their heads in shame and hope that it will go away quietly.

Thanks buddy for the information. I could see the Touch panel firmware version as 07 Goodix - V1.017.20. But somehow after one of the system update the screen freezes and i cant perform any action. The only way is to lock the screen and unlock it. But yeah overall the phone works like a charm. The battery still performs well and lasts for a day :)

Awesome phone, I am on my second year running with absolutely no issues at all. great camera, the battery is amazing, handles heavy use without a flinch. I once played you tube music and via Bluetooth to external party speakers back to back for 9 hours straight and there was no heating. Further the charge used was less than 50%. Nokia is clearly keeping up its 3310 reputation. I would vouch for this phone any day. For now I hope to upgrade to the Nokia edge and see what its made of, I hope it will keep up.

Frankly, you would have started complaining long back if you had Novatek panel. Anyway this is how you can check it - Go to settings -> About phone -> Touch Panel firmware version If you are lucky, you will find only 07. If you are from the other lot, you will find 'Novatek 07'.

How to identify if your screen is of Novatek? I too face the screen lockout issue sometimes. Sadly the phone is now out of warranty as its been almost 1.4 yrs i'm using this phone and works like a charm. But after one of the updates the screen freezes out or locks out and only solution is to lock the phone and unlock.

I have this cell phone since 2018 july. What can i say - fantastic phone! Except one major issue - display sometimes freezes until next screen unlock. It was so annoying, but after screen replacement (i crashed it on concrete floor), that screen freezing issue is solved! The first screen was Novatek brand, now it's Goodix. Phone works flawlessly!

@Salvin I had all the problems other users have mentioned, a dull white/grey screen, a wobbly charging port, and the lower half of the screen freezing, but managed to cure ALL these faults in one easy move.. I sold it on a well known auction site. Now it's someone else's problem! I'll never buy another Nokia phone as long as I live.

But for Nokia I like android original UI. less installed applications. Better battery life and good camera result. I bought Nokia 7 Plus because I dont like notch.

Absolutely not!! Your father is a smart man. Only Samsung phones you should buy are S8 onwards. All A, J, M series are bad. I've used A50 for a few days. I'll tell you this now. Only thing better in A50 is gaming performance. It handles PUBG on HDR Graphics with stable 40 FPS. Nokia 7 Plus handles PUBG at 35-40 FPS on HDR. But both phone need GFX Tool to do this. Other than that, A50 is a huge downgrade from Nokia 7 Plus. Think of a Chinese brand that you think make poor quality phones - chances are, A50 is worst than them. 1. I can't think of any midrange phone with worst camera than A50. It is only as good as Redmi Note 6 Pro. It doesn't even have 4K video recording. The colours are all messed up, there is too much noise, softness and very poor details. 2. Display problem is *very* common in A50. I got screen burn in issue within 3-5 days and I saw at least 10 people complaining the same in A50 reviews on Gsmarena. 3. Charging port problem and slow charging is widely reported. 4. It heats up too much! Check this camera comparison of A50, Nokia 7 Plus and iPhone 7 Plus. You'll see what I mean.

Very well said. However this Novatek display issue seems to be localized in Europe. I may be wrong. I am from India, and me along with quite a few friends of mine bought Nokia 7 Plus. And we are all extremely happy with our phones. Better than flagship level build quality, sharp & bright 18:9 display, very snappy performance, snappy fingerprint scanner, fast charging, stock android and very quick android updates. What more can you ask from a $300 phone. However these are my experiences, also my friends feel the same. I previously had hands on with Nokia 8 with tiny old school 16:9 display I didn't like, Nokia 8 Sirocco again with a old school 16:9 display and even the latest Nokia 9 with pathetic fingerprint scanner issue. I firmly believe Nokia 7 Plus is the best phone Nokia ever made under HMD banner.

So I bought this phone 3 weeks ago. Prior to that I had a pretty long and extensive search for mid-range phone, with reasonable price, good battery life, comparably OK hardware. Nokia 7 Plus had everything I could wish for, even OTG. However, on a lot of forums there were lots of messages about faults, namely screen and easy-to-break USB port. The latter, to my belief, may be purely subjective, as lots of people are simply not careful with their things. I am careful, and if my devices get broken, it is because I did so deliberately, like with my ASUS Zenfone Go, which is piece of garbage and its designers should be fired. My concerns were lifted when my friend revelaed he had this phone for 3 months and everyhing was great with no problems whatsoever. I also read that screen problems - freezes - were fixed by some recen updates, and so I caved in and bought the phone. First 2 days things were great. After that my screen started to freeze in that lower zone where 3 main navigation buttons are. This is fixed by restarting the phone. But this is bullshit, you buy a NEW phone, and it is defective? Hello service center. I gave my phone under still active warranty after mere 5 days of use. They diagnosed faulty screen and Nokia sent them a replacement. I waited for 2 weeks, repeatedly asking service center about my phone. I even got the answer that 2 weeks isn't long time, some wait up to 45 days for their parts. This got ridiculous and today service center called me and said Nokia dismissed the phone, so I can collect it and refund at my store. Totally doing that. This phone is packed with awesome features, unintrusive UI, great battery life - I didn't charge it for 3 days and it worked fine. I am not active phone internet user, so bear that in mind. But it is a lottery. If you get faulty one - you have to refund it, there is no sense in replacing factory faulty screen with newer same faulty screen.

Just check your screen panel, if it is Novatek 07, please return it immediately. This panel has brightness issue, you will hate your phone. If not, I would say - enjoy your new phone. The chances of you running into other issues are pretty slim (1 in 1000 or less than that), so it is your call.

Found out that the telephoto camera is 8.3mp in my EXIF data. Can anyone plz tell me theirs?? It would help me a lot. Even Nokia has said that the telephoto camera is 12mp. Normal camera got an improvement from the last update. Quite happy with Nokia.

You got to take most of the negative users' opinions with a grain of salt: changing port issue? Ok haven't faced that. Washed pixels and poor camera? Really? The Carl Zeiss pair in the back is fantastic. The stick camera app doesn't provide the night mode as such, but the Gcam port can do the trick? Heating at the back with fast chargers? Minimal if any on my phone. Screen not bright? Really? It is sufficiently bright, crisp, and has great colours. The phone has great design and build quality. It is sturdy as well. It has a great battery life (can easily last the whole day with moderate use). The fingerprint sensor is very fast. Sound quality is ok for one speaker piece, but great sound with deep bass using the supplied earbuds. There is hardly anything I can fault that this phone at such price point. The only design fault could be placement of the earphone jack on top rather than bottom. It is a great phone. Just buy one and upgrade the software.

Three months in and I already have an issue with the charging port. This issue seems to be not isolated as there are numerous customers that are having the same issue. I sent it to customer service and took them almost a month to deliver the parts and another two weeks to actually replace the port. Agree with your assessment. Just one thing about battery - 'The phone is expected to get warm when charging using 18W charger since it has metal back & metal is good for heat dissipation. So uniform distribution of heat.' If you use 10W charger, you will have no heat but no quick charge too. So it's your choice. I would suggest to use a good quality case to avoid feeling heat when playing games. Especially the one which act as good thermal insulator at the corners.

I have been using this phone since May 2018, and this is my review. I got this phone for $250, and for the price, it's a good phone overall. The build quality is seriously incredible. Aside from the feel and looks, the phone is quite sturdy. The phone literally fell off from single-story stairs, stumbling and rolling down, fell flat on its face. My heart stopped for a moment because the phone was not protected by any screen shield or case. But when I picked it up, the Nokia branding was for real. It survived, with very little to minor dents on the body, and a light unnoticeable scratch on the bottom left of the screen. The hand feel is sleek and boxy, with some good weight, making me feel like holding a premium device. The LCD screen is not that bright and has a warm tone, instead of the bluish tint of Xiaomi devices. The blacks are incredible, seriously, I loved it. The quality of the bottom-firing speaker is one of the worst parts of the device. The sound quality is really low and grainy. It sometimes sounds louder and sometimes much lower. The Android One platform is a better choice than any of the heavily customized skins from other brands except for Oxygen OS. And Android One is not completely Pure Android from the Pixels, but it's close. But Android One is also the worst of Nokia because it's not optimized well. It's really buggy and the animation framerates are choppy. Sliding right to access Google Feeds, swiping down for notification shade and unlocking animations skip frames and lag, completely breaking the Pixel Experience. It puts this phone to shame how much of its other competitors have smoother and elegant animations e.g. OneUI, EMUI, and MIUI. Using gesture navigation freezes the apps in Task Managers several times. The Android Experience in Nokia 7 Plus is below average. The phone has a loose charging port issue. It heats too much while charging our playing games like PUBG. Performance of Snapdragon 660 paired with 4 GB of RAM is really good and beats competition like Xiaomi Mi A2 with an underclocked device. The Camera quality is Meh, Live Bokeh is a piece of crap, not even close to Mi A2 portrait mode. Then I installed Google Pixel back.rider GCAM mode, and I am getting an awesome photography experience. Because Nokia has fully enabled the Camera2API, I was able to install the application without unlocking, flashing and rooting. Nokia made some mistakes with this phone, but still, with GCAM installed, it's a bomb in such a lower price.

Dont buy the phone, its not good at all, there is a usb port issue which causes causes some of the phones to not charge at all, it also has a display where some of the phones have a novatek display which is not good and you can not choose which display you want when buying the phone. The usb issue affects the 2019 versions too because hmd being the assholes they are decided to use the broken usb ports ignoring the users complaining and they are still ignoring as they still havent addressed this issue, so dont buy any hmd products which include nokia.

ok. I have been using this phone for a year and let me tell you my experience with this phone. You can disregard those to gotten this phone recently because problems don't arise after a couple of months. Firstly, it does have the charging port issue, although I got this problem only recently, which means it didn't happen for about a year. Nothing to do with cheap cables or not though. The daily plugging in and out of the charger is probably the cause. Secondly, there is some software issue which causes the phone to be unresponsive to swipes. Basically what will happen is that the phone will detect a press when there is none and then freeze up. Only buttons will work. You have to press the power button to let it go to sleep and press on it again. Although this takes like a second to do, it is rather irritating. Thirdly, camera is not good. Colors are washed out, shutter speed is not fast enough in auto mode which causes blur. There is also a lag between the shutter and when the picture is taken Don't expect old nokia models build quality and toughness. But it is not bad with this price point.

If your phone is still under warranty, go to Nokia care center. If they cannot fix the problem, they usually replace the phone with 7.1 or 8.1.

Just because you are not facing the charging port problem then it doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. From the amount of posts here from users suffering with the problem it clear that it is a serious issue with this phone and you are taking the attitude that Nokia is taking, and that is 'Let's pretend that it doesn't exist and then it will go away'. Nokia used to be renowned for their build quality but HMD Global (the present owners) do not have the expertise that the original Nokia had, and the result is that they are building substandard products.

I have oneplus 5 and my friend has nokia 7 plus. Its not even a fair to compare them,oneplus 5 blows off the nokia in every aspect. Oneplus 5 can also record 4k,the camera quality is similar,both are pretty average,however for the most people both will do a fine job. The zeiss optics are really not as great as they sound,its mostly a marketing name. The oneplus is a much more powerful and fast device than the nokia.

If camera is your priority, go for Nokia 7 plus. It has exact same camera hardware as of Google pixel 2. Plus Google mods work excellent. Others do not have Dual Pixel Autofocus. So your choice is clear :)

Nokia is by far the worst company. The legendary Nokia is no more, even Microsoft has made some solid phones in the name of Nokia. But when it is taken by HMD Global, they ruin its brand value and impression. I'm a big fan of Nokia, so I bought three mobiles for its brand value but I forgot that they were made by idiots. #HMD Yes, they are Nokia 5.1, 6.1 and 7 Plus and each and every phone has a charging slot issue, and the worst thing is that they demand huge amount of money as repairing cost in the warranty period too. The phones have been protected by Gorilla Glass, but they are scratched and broken very easily from 1 feet height. I mean really .. Nokia? So please do not invest your hard earned money and let them grow, allow them to make some solid phones without any manufacturing defects. Like previous Nokia. "REAL NOKIA".

It's still a very good phone. The performance is good enough to handle heavy games like PUBG on high graphics, but Fortnite is not available for its chipset. The camera performance is also pretty good. Although it could have benefited from more video modes. The battery is good as well. Nokia 8.1 is priced slightly higher than this phone in my country. It has a more powerful chipset that supports Fortnite as well. The camera is almost the same but main camera has OIS which allows better light capturing and adjusts to hand shakiness - this results in better quality pictures, especially in low light. For its price a great bit of kit. However I've had a multitude of problems with the phone. For one after a few months the battery had died and the phone stopped working. I had to have it repaired which was quite annoying. Now the headphone jack is partly broken and can. Only hear through 1 headphone and I have had this phone less than a year. Never had this happen to me with other phones. This is quite disappointing and leaves me with a negative impression on this phone.

Best to worst. Nokia 8 (extremely better performance, display, audio recording and camera that has Ois - gets much better if you install Gcam. Can handle pubg on ultra hd graphics without lagging. But shorter battery timing and phone size than others. It has NFC as well). Xiaomi Mi A3: Since you don't mind HD+ display. (better chipset + HD display with more responsive super amoled screen = better gaming & longer battery. Also has big battery and camera specs look decent for pictures but no ois nor eis. Has infrared port so you can use it as a remote but no NFC). *I haven't checked its actual performance in detail.* Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 (similar performance as Nokia 7 Plus but longer battery - longest among all in the list, though Mi A3 might come close with its lower display and more battery efficient chipset. Camera are decent, has Eis and NFC as well). Nokia 7 Plus (better than max pro M2 in software updates and camera for pictures but selfie cam doesn't have auto focus. Has Eis and NFC). Realme 3: Cheapest phone I know of that can handle pubg on HD graphics. Battery timing is great. Third best in the list unless A3 loses second spot. Camera is really good with accurate colours & brilliant low light performance (better than pro m2, 7 plus & note 7) with good edge detection. Video recording is average, though you might be able to record 2k or 4k using Gcam or Open Camera. It doesn't have Eis nor NFC. Redmi Note 7 (i don't recommend it for gaming or quality for reasons you can find in its users opinion section. It has lowest gaming performance and battery timing (except Nokia 8) out of all these devices. Camera performance is decent in pictures and videos. Has NFC and Infrared port.) Some notes: - Eis is not an important feature as it just crops frames to make video stables, which lowers their quality in exchange of more stability. Even if phone lacks it, you can use Adobe Photoshop video stability tool to get the same or better result. - 120/60 fps recording is mainly available for 1080p videos and recording on high fps results in loss of details, so do make sure if the leftover details are acceptable to you - if you're interested in that. - Except for Nokia 8 & Redmi Note 7, maximum settings you'll play PUBG on will be HD or FHD at best in case of Mi A3.

I have it since it was released. It is quite fine, reliable, except for some Android One bugs which are more or less common. I had a stable usage cycle all the time with the phone. It was on charger every night, because I don't like my phone to be under 50% (you never know when you need the juice :) ), that way I might conserved my battery better than others, since Li-Ion doesn't like to be drained to bad, and also the overcharging is prohibited by the charger circuit. This way I have my battery performance on almost the same level as when I bought it. You get the most bang-for-buck with this phone. I will be using it until it breaks down, but that will be hard, since it has heavy duty alu case. The only minus is the gorilla glass, it can be scratched, so use a foil! :)

Thinking of buying a pre-used 7 Plus. But I'm divided between this, Redmi Note 7, Asus Max Pro M2, to an extent, Realme 3 (NOT the Pro), and Xiaomi A3 (I really don't mind the 720p screen, as long as I get smoother FPS in games). Realme 3 Pro (and A3) is a bit too expensive for my range but I might consider it when its price is lowered in the future. I'm a moderate gamer that mostly plays PUBG/MOBA games. I want to experience stock Android as I heard that they perform better vs custom OS because of less bloatware. Custom OS is fine if they don't slow down too much the phone though. Lastly, based on the opinions here, the ratio of complaints vs complements is around 50/50, with most of the cons are charging port and display malfunctions. Again, I'm going for a pre-owned unit of this model(although it's only 2 months used as of this writing), I'm kinda hesitant for going for it. So what do you think?

Have had this now over a year and had no issues at all. Battery might last little less than as new but still lasts 2 days at quite heavy use. Camera is very good, when using google cam.

I have using it for one year. I didn't have any issue its work fine without any lag. Battery is also as good as it is at initially. No heating issue in normal day to day useage. It's heats up a little when we play intense game like pubg it's common. This phone is made up of 6 layers of ceramic coating at back its hold heat so when the temperature outside is high it's heats up while charging especially in summer. We can avoid it by switch off the phone or placing phone near to fan. In camera department it's very good. We can take good photo by adjusting shutter speed in low light. I am impressed.

I have used it for 1 year. I my experience is below average with it. Initial battery was superb Than after a year its heat up, and increased it's size so the display and display glass solidly moved up also I have a black dot on display. In this Price range your friends using sambung and older one plus You fill disheartened in camera section, And display is LCD so don't even think to compare with Samsung. Overal good product but only for 15k . That's it. And also you don't get good after service.

I've been using a 7 Plus for a while now (with a Novatek panel) and it's honestly not that bad. Here are the issues I've faced: - The brightness cannot go down below 19% (fixed by an app called Dimly) - The sensitivity of the screen is very low when the phone lays flat (ever since I've applied a screen protector) - The touch refresh rate or however it's called is significantly lower than my previous iPhone 7's. This is the only issue I consider a disadvantage and annoying to get used to. It is only noticeable when compared to the iPhone though, you can get used to it eventually.

I 100% agree with this statement that there will be no other phone in the future which is better than Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 7 plus regarding the quality of engineering to attain exceptional build quality. I never regret in buying 7+ because of its all-round abilities. Everything is good the battery life, the camera, timely updates etc. I didn't face any issues till now with my one year useage it still very sturdy and working like little champ.

I also firmly believe the same. Nokia's manufacturing partner Foxxconn is putting huge pressure on Nokia from the beginning of 2019 to start designing phones while keeping more profitability in mind. This means going down the lane of Samsung, LG, Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, Realme, Honor, Motorola mid-range devices where your purchase decision is mainly governed by high spec sheet with almost no importance to built quality, sustained performance & unique design. The mantra in this segment is to create an dirt cheap low quality all plastic body phone with garish colors, while giving next to no importance to built quality as who cares. In turn give the consumers high specs with high peak performance because that is what people understands & compares with other phones. Also give no consideration for thermals generated by internal components which results is drastically low sustained performance ans will increases cost. And yes give a big battery with no fast charging support & 10 watt slow charger. I said it before and I will say it again, Nokia 7 Plus & Nokia 6.1 are unique devices which will never have a true successor for its price. I have both of them and will but then in a showcase ten years down the line to show the metaculus engineering, built quality & deign that Nokia was able to prove for the price.

I find the Novatek panel fiasco as the only chink in the armor of Nokia 7 Plus. This is the only reason why satisfaction rate of owning this smartphone is poles apart. Majority of 7+ owners are extremely satisfied with this phone, be it price to performance ratio or just sheer built quality. But a small group of unfortunate owners who received the Novatek panel laden 7+ seems to be very dissatisfied with the product. I completely understand their frustration, the display is the window of the phone and it does not do what it was intended to do the rest of package is of no use. From what the pattern I have observed this Novatek panel seems to be mainly distributed in Europe.

I bought my Nokia 7 plus in December 2018 and was okay until May 2019 when the screen began freezing randomly. I have tried contacting Nokia customer support but they haven't been of any help. I expected the June 2019 update to sort this out only to be disappointed.

The one's interested to buy this phone, I have been using this phone for over a year now and I heard many people complaining about the Battery life and atleast in my experience the phone easily lasted me 12-17 hours* a day on a single charge with maximum screen-on time of more than 6 hours and 30 mins. I am not a heavy user but I can guarantee you that this phone won't disappoint you in any ways and it can handle most of the stuff you throw at it. The only issue I had was that the phone used to overheat sometimes but now it has been solved in the latest update (May 2019 security update). I would recommend this phone instead of any current Nokia device even if it has an older processor. For people who are in a hurry- Pros. 1. Excellent battery life (for a normal user) 2. Superior build quality 3. Great Choice of processor 4. Camera quality is pretty good (has improved wastly over the time) 5. Charging speed is outstanding (this may vary for you) Cons. 1. Display could have been better 2. Speaker is on the quiet side 3. No water resistance Go for this phone.

Hi guys, I have purchased N7+ on June 2018 till now it work really up to the mark . there is NO problem in the charging point,No problem in headphone jack but Yea.. it some time get heat up when I do intense work like playing game at full brightness but I think it's normal with any phone even my younger brother recently brought Samsung A50 and it also got heatup. And the major quality that separates this phone from another is the RAM management and camera quality, the camera quality of this phone is far much better then any other phone in this range. Even after the one year usage it's battery backup gives 10-15hr* full day charging And it also receive time to time security update that is also the plus point. ONE MAJOR DISADVANTAGE OF THIS PHONE IS THAT IT IS HAVING HYBRID SLOT. *I am not a heavy user..

First of all I'm changing my phone in a month or so as it's a mid range phone and one should use a mid range phone for a year max if he changes a lot or not IMO. Now here's my experience so far: I have this phone for about a year now and I have used this as rough as one can be it have been dropped about more than 40 times on floor in my hostel from stairs bed table you name it but there were nothing on it except for two or three scratches which were very hard to find. I have also dropped it water and it went under tap water too as I dropped it in mud and the side was of charging port side but after a few hours in rice under 40 degree celcius plus temperature it runs again without any issues of headphone jack or charging port. Downside after pie updates if storage is full and there is less than about 500mb storage remaining it got stuck and you have to reboot and that's now I think is of software side but if you have storage above that than its smooth most of times. I think Android Pie sometimes make this phone stuck for a few seconds or a minute and a half. ANother issue is that's from hardware which is the power button sometimes it behaveslike there is no hardware ticking inside and sometimes it doesn't work at all in a day but then it is as its new. HOPE I HELPED.

Nokia 7 plus usually gets updates in the last week of the month. Nokia 6(2017) gets them in first week. Then 6.1,7.1,6+,5.1,5,4.2...etc.

Well it comes down to personal prefernce as the both phones have kinda same specs, N7plus has better build quality and better android experience, i would recommend you to go with nokia because it will provide you smooth perfomance for a longer time. I been using it for a year now and never had any issue with perfomance.

I've been using this phone for 5 months, and everytime I delete a bug file (1 GB to 3GB file), it lags and the shuts down. Even if I do heavy tasks. I had a J7 Prime as my phone before this and it handled these tasks smoothly. I don't know why these things happens because 1) it is an android one device 2) frequent updates. I had high expectations about this device but it is letting me down. Hopefully, when it will get Android Q (I hope it will), it will fix all these problems because I had 2 monthly updates now and nothing happened still.

Go to nearest customer care & ask them to upgrade your phone to some latest update. (June or May 2019). You should get periodic updates thereafter. FYI: I have been using Pie on this phone since last September. Haven't had any major issues. The camera has improved in last update. And if you are not happy with default camera, install Google camera mod. Problem solved :)

Had this phone 1 week and its great apart from one huge problem it wont update to pie its stuck on 8.1 and the August 2018 patch which is as a good as a chocolate watch in the mid day desert=useless now since this my research as stated dont upgrade at all stay at 8.1 but the camera is just rubbish now my sony zx kills it to death even though thats a rubbish phone as well camera overheats badly. Its meant to get constant updates and yes I could side-load it but why should I, its getting returned to retailer as faulty if it cant be an android one phone then thats mis-selling as well so nokia blew it again and I will just buy samsung again doing cheap was indeed not well thought out by me on this one! lol

By interest I did some google search and found Novatek is a Taiwanese company who manufactures display driver ICs. They also manufacture small-sized single-chip display drivers which are suitable for mobile phone applications. In all certainty your phone display module is using a different panel and new Novatek display driver IC and as such the driver firmware is named accordingly 'Novatek-V07 - Goodix-V1-017.16'. In my case it comes with a display panel with driver IC as Nokia intended & advertised to be in Nokia 7 Plus during launch. Hence the firmware version is named accordingly 'V07 Goodix-V1.017.20'.

@Devil2Death I agree with your comment, however things are not that simple. In the UK, goods must be 'Fit for the purpose for which they are intended', and some unscrupulous retailers exploit that loophole. If the screen had failed completely, or if one of the buttons had fallen off then it would qualify for a refund, but because the phone was working I was refused a refund. That isn't always the way though, some retailers offer a 'No quibble guarantee' but I chose a seller who stuck to the rules.

I can feel your pain. Fortunately I do not have a novatek panel so I agree with Rishi that the screen looks just great. I do have a question though. You must have realized that there is something wrong with the phone when you saw the screen. A simple google search would have helped you to make the decision whether to return the phone or keep it. Why you did not bother to do it? It would have saved you from further pain.

Mine is a 07 Goodix without the Novatek. Some more info about my Nokia 7 Plus: a) Phone manufactured in India. b) Model TA-1046. c) It is of white color. d) 4GB RAM variant. d) Touch panel firmware version: V07 Goodix-V1.017.20 Sorry to know the Novatek-VO7 version has such issues. My phone display has pretty accurate colors and produces crisp whites. Dull is not the word I will use to describe the 7 Plus display. However in the end I can only speak about my experiences with Nokia 7 Plus. And I am exceptionally happy with my phone be it exceptional build quality, pure android user experience and a great display. I simply can't ask more from Nokia at this asking price!!!

@RishiGuru You can quote all the numbers you want, but that doesn't count when Nokia KNOW that they have used defective components on some of the N7+ phones. Go to the following link to learn what I am talking about: You will see that if your model was built with the 07 component then screens such as the app drawer are a crisp white colour, but if it was built with the Novatek-VO7 like mine, then the same screen is a dirty white/grey colour and is difficult to read. Nokia know about the fault because they have received complaints outlining the problem. If Nokia had any decency then they would recall the faulty models and replace the screen. Instead, some people (including me) received the reply 'The screen works so there is no need to replace it' Disgraceful. So please, don't quote build quality to me or others who are suffering the same way.

You are not getting my point. First, comparison between a $930 device (Huawei P20 Pro) with a $370 Nokia 7 Plus is plane unjust. Each belongs to its own price category. P20 Pro is two and a half times the cost of this Nokia. So in its price category, Nokia won the best phone award from EISA. And there is a much fierce competition in sub $400 dollar market than in $900 plus devices. In the end I can only speak about my experiences with my Nokia 7 Plus. a) Build Quality: The best I have seen on any phone. It beats even my iPhone 7 Plus in construction quality & overall design. b) Unique Design: If by design you mean just what you can see with your eyes, then yes then are dozens of phones out there. But my view of design does not limit to the phone surface but goes skin deep; I mean the chassis construction process this phone goes through to provide ultimate build quality. If you are an engineer you will have some idea what I mean to say. c) Performance: Enough for every day needs and then some. Though I do not play a lot of games, I found very resource intensive games like Asphalt 8 runs butter smooth on this device. d) OS: The beauty of using a clean stock Android with the Android One program. After using Nokia 7 Plus for over a year as my daily driver I never faced: 1) Loose charging ports even though I charge every alternate day. The phone just have killer battery backup. 2) Never faced any screen freeze issue. 3) I never found the screen to be dull. The display has a respective brightness of 432 nits which is more than enough for indoor use. With a contrast ratio of 1700:1 you get amazing deep blacks like OLED panels in an IPS LCD display which is an achievement from Nokia for a phone at this price point. Finally with a sunlight contrast ratio: 3.479:1 my Nokia 7 Plus legibility is nearly as good as my iPhone 7 Plus under direct sunlight. I have no complains here.

If you don't know EISA stands 'European Imaging and Sound Association' and they have been giving the most recognized & prestigious awards in the world to consumer electronic appliances/ phones for ages. On the contrary, I strongly believe 7 Plus is the best smartphone Nokia ever created under HMD banner. What's the exact issue? If you are facing issue while taking pictures in low light, this is acceptable since Nokia algorithm is not that good. You should use Google cam during night time. If it is during day time, check with some other camera phone. i.e. transfer original photo to that phone & check how it looks. (Some phones have different screen panel which show different color than original one)

What I love about Nokia phones is the approach to engineering that is build to last. At-least this applies for 1st & 2nd generation Nokia phones released between 2017 & 2018 under HMD banner. Take the Nokia 7 Plus for example, the processes it goes through to make the metal uni-body: a) Precision-milled from a solid block of 6000 series aluminium alloy. Takes 1 hour to machine from a solid metal block. b) Then six layer paint job in white/black color is applied on the bare CNC machined aluminium uni-body which gives the uni-body an unique ceramic like feel with mate texture. c) Next a diamond cutter tool is used to shave four sides of the phone by 2.75 mm. The same procedure is applied to cut a thin line which runs along the boarder of the display. This exposes the bare aluminium over which anodization will be performed. d) Then the phone is dipped in an anodizing pool where two step anodization process is performed to give the bare sides & thin line a unique copper finish. e) An internal die cast metal mid-frame is then screwed internally to the metal uni-body which reinforces the core of the device. No less than 19 screws locks the internal metal plate to the uni-body giving it ultimate structural integrity & durability. Nokia 7 Plus is a testament of Nokia true craftsmanship & unique material design. The cost of manufacturing this type of metal uni-body is at-least 10 times more than phones using pressed metal bodied phones that tout as metal build like Xiaomi previous generation phones. Alas with market pressure now Nokia have to now dissolve their approach to engineering and run into lanes of cheap construction to return to profitability. The truth is very few people understand or value construction quality but everybody knows about specs. The new Nokia phones in budget segment have started using cheap construction materials like plastic like Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, Asus. RealMe, Xiaomi etc in-order to return to profitability. Been using for a bit now, The screen is actually pretty amazing, even though its the Novak version everyone seems to be complaining about, mine's pretty bright even on the lowest settings. Which I usually leave it on since it's very bright for my eyes. Nice and clean stock andriod, Camera is pretty good. Audio is meh, My blackberry priv was louder but not all that bad. Charges pretty quick, Battery life is pretty good. It's a sexy phone to look at. Overall, I'm enjoying it.

Try hard reset once. Should solve most of the issues. In case of camera, try force close. then start again. Solves the issue 99% of the time. Most likely it will be fixed in next updates.

my nokia 7 plus was giving problems like charging port issue, heating up when battery charges to 70% and black mark on screen. given it to service and heard nothing from them till 20 days, then i wrote to hmd global as well nokia india about such a pathetic response and demanded them for a new phone as replacement. to my surprise i received call from service center saying they have replaced it with nokia 8.1 as the phone cannot be repaired. took 8.1 its really excellent and premium built. seems they stopped selling nokia 7 plus now due to its issues.

visit a customer care center if your phone is still under warranty. Most users with faulty phones got Nokia 8.1 as replacement phone if they do not have required parts.

Personally, I have a feeling that it is software issue. Some of my friends noticed it on their phones as well. I have never faced it. After discussion, we felt that it could be specific to stock launcher. If you use a third party launcher, you do not face any issues. You can try it out. It may work. Worth taking a risk. Flick launcher is good if you are looking for ad free launcher.

I have had mine for 6 months now and it is brilliant, none of the problems or issues I have read here. Great screen, battery life and reliable. I would buy another tomorrow if I needed to. A great improvement over my previous Windows phone and even the iPhone 5 I had before.

I don't know why people keep on complaining about Nokia 7 plus. I am using this phone past one year, I didn't face any of the issue mentioned in the comments here. The phone is working just fine with out any lag. Battery life is good, I am little heavy user I still get 1 day of battery and screen on time always in between from 7 to 8 hours. Most of the bugs fixed after the pie update and Nokia is pushing monthly update with out any delay. Camera is just fine no issue it struggles a bit in low light we can solve it by adjusting shutter speed or g cam. In my opinion the phone is excellent.

Make sure that the phone is placed in cooler area especially near to fan. Then there will be no heating issue after 75% of charging. The heating happens because the phone is made up of fully metal especially back side of phone there is a ceramic coating on aluminium tends to hold heat more.

The problems are specific to handsets. There is a high chance that your handset will not have any problems. I haven't had any major issues on mine. Further official Android pie killed most of the bugs. There is certainly some scope to improve camera but you can easily use Google Camera mod. FYI: Stock cam is excellent during daylight.

It's a really really great phone! Very little complaints aside from the bluetooth being a bit finicky at times. The display is bright enough under the sun and it's plenty sharp. The camera is good but I've been using the modded gcam and it's been absolutely FANTASTIC! Audio quality is also really good cuz there's 3 microphones. The mono speaker is loud enough you won't mind the lack of stereo setup. The software experience is great as there's been monthly updates and it's great that I'll be getting android Q! The processor rarely gets in the way too. There are hiccups but they're far and few in between so you don't need to worry. If I'm being picky you could say the phone gets warm from time to time. The battery has been amazing mostly and when it's not it's very solid. Easily 1 day and most of the times a day and a half. It's a really great phone. Definitely recommended but you absolutely MUST use the gcam on it!

Has anyone actually figured out the root cause behind screen freezes? Is it a software or hardware issue? The inputs from support chat are absolutely useless. I sent in my device to service center and they just reflashed the software. 2 days afterwards, screen freezes began again. Other than that the phone is amazing.

I bought my qc 3.0 powerbank at the same time during those years. BOTH Supports quick charge 3.0 (Snapdragon 450) Then I got a Redmi 5 Plus which is SD625 and it does support quick charge 3.0 Then the Nokia 7 Plus and Redmi Note 7 which are the same chipset and STILL supports quick charge 3.0 HOW in the world is it not quick charge 3.0 if I use a qc 2.0 normal charger, it charges slower. Using my power bank qc 3.0 it is WAY faster. Go and own one before you comment anonymous :p

The reason is its headphone jack has technical issue. The headphone doesn't get plugged properly even the original one. It gets unplugged itself and i have to replug it. I have checked online and learned it is actually manufacturing fault not just my phone. I play pubg and headphones keeps messing up in the game which i really find annoying and want something that can help me play smoothly. i tried type c headphones and dongle as well none of them worked (they were not nokia made btw)

I feel sorry for what happened to your phone but unfortunately it is a story that is repeated again and again. You call Nokia 'a brand that you can trust' but that reputation is a left over from when it WAS a reputable company. Microsoft purchased Nokia in 2013 and ran it into the ground by installing their Windows OS on their products and that was a complete failure amongst users. When the Nokia shares were almost worthless MS kept all the Nokia patents and sold what was left to a company HMD. Unfortunately, the new owners seem to lack the engineers, research, and most important of all, Quality Control to test their products thoroughly before releasing them. If they had a decent QC then all the faults with this model would have been found.

Charging connector (USB-C) on the phone is loose, so it is not charging every time you connect it to power. I was reading that it is an issue with this series. All other things are very good and the phone gets noticed in the crowd, not like most of other phones.

any dongle you will use will not work because there is a different pin configuration inside usb-c type audio jack and a normal usb-c type charging only port. there is no dedicated pin for audio in a normal usb-c. hope this will enlighten you:)

why do you need to do that? There is a 3.5 mm jack for normal headphones. If you have USB-C headphones, you can plug those in USB-C port. What's the reasoning behind using USB-C port to connect a headphone with 3.5 mm jack?

I really wanted to buy a Samsung. But the camera took me to 7 Plus. Bought it about 1 year before and I would say it was worth buying. Never had issues with hanging. Cam performance is good. You cant compare with the likes of One Plus or S10s, but still worth a catch, a special mention on the lowlight captures. The copper clading on the sides though is not that resistant to daily use as mine is a bit battered even with good care. Rest all has stood the test of daily use for an year and timely updates are a great thing. Only downside is, you will have to comply with the Anroid One UI with very little customizations possible.

My last phone software update was 1 Oct 2018, android 9. And after that i just turned off auto update. And until now i did't updated my phone, may be that`s why its working fine and smooth with me without any battery problem or any other kind of issue. Some times new updates makes your phone worst then before, and some times its fix many things. But the question is, if every thing is working perfect, then i don`t want to install any new update if there is only 5% new things and 95% old thing (which i already have it). So for the 5% new things, i can`t compromise my whole phone performance. It was my personal experience which i shared with you all. Thanks

To anyone who doesn't understand the problem with the Novatek-07 component I am listing a link that will help you: As you can see, Nokia used different versions of the component for the same model. One gives a crisp white display but the other results in a dull, hard to see display. I questioned Nokia about the difference but they chose not to reply.

Android One Pie is blazing fast despite some minor glitches. I have no problems switching between apps. The experience is just smooth and fluid. Camera is good and you can also slap a gcam mod and then you get a baby pixel in your hands. I can't say much on the hardware side of things. The back of the phone can get quite hot even with normal usage (browsing, tweeting). Touch screen responsiveness can get a bit iffy at times. I suggest you do some digging about Novatek-V07. Loudspeaker sounds tiny like really tiny you could hardly hear notification sounds. I've also experienced charging issues. Tho if u want the purest version of Android and a sturdy build quality then go ahead.

@Welpoo I sympathise with your experiences because I have also suffered some of the same. The screen on my N7+ is a dull cream colour and that is due to the cheap components that Nokia source. The single speaker is pathetic; I had to download a widget that increases the volume to enable me to hear ringtones, SMS tone etc. because it was so quiet. In a crowded space like a shopping mall you have no chance of hearing the phone ring. The touch screen is getting worse as time passes. Instead of a single tap on the screen I eventually had to stab the screen hard several times to get an app to open. I fear it will fail completely soon. I don't suffer with the charging port problem that a lot of uses have reported but that is due to the fact that I have given up with this 2nd rate phone and purchased a Oneplus 6. The N7+ is just a standby phone in case I ever need one. Of course, the Nokia fanboys will be outraged at your comments and will condemn you while suffering with the same problems themselves but deny having anything wrong.

This smartphone gave me a lot of headaches in a span of 7 months. My N7P was on repair after 5 months of use because of yellow display tint, touch unresponsiveness, and a wobbly charging port that it was unable to gain a juice (I handle my phone carefully). I can barely hear ringtones, alarms, and notifications coming out of the speakers. Android One (Pie) isn't as polished as you might think like a really delayed lift-to-wake. Heck, even my temporary replacement Nova 3i didn't give me any problems (except for EMUI 8.2 but I remedied it with nova launcher prime) when my N7P was still on repair. Currently, I use nova 3i as my main phone and just use my N7P (well I still admire stock android) with GCam port for academic purposes. Could've chosen OP6 at that time or a Galaxy S8. Welp...c'est la vie.

It will depend on your needs. I have bought the 7 plus because of the software updates and clean android with no bloatwares. I have read in some forums that 7 plus has an issue with charging port but mine is working fine and I try to not use it while charging. I also bought a magnetic charger to prevent future issues with charging port.

I hve been using my Nokia 7 Plus for 7 months. I am very happy with my purchase. I do not have any issues with USB port - but I use original cable. I like clean android, phone is snappy. when I first got it UI seemed a little bit slugish, but after couple of days and ROM update it got much faster. The phone seems very solid , I dig solid metal chassis.

Battery lasts normally 2 days easily and camera is very good, only thing which I miss is waterproofness but this hasnt had problems with light rain and snow which been gone through few times

Have been using this phone for a year. Bough it because of android one but had several updates that broke more than that it fixed things. Callerid broken, wifi broken, phone hangs. Finally after four months the march update should fix this. Even worse, the usb charge connection is faulty and won't always charge (its loose). Please check nokia forums before buying this phone. Nokia company is very quiet about these problems and are relying on good reviews from sites who review for a day or a week. Alas problems arise after several months.

yes. It is definitely good now. FYI: After every OS upgrade, it is recommended that you should Hard reset the phone once. If you have not done it, please do it. Secondly in March update Nokia has finally listened to users demands & stopped killing apps aggresively. This improved battery management a bit. Getting rid of Evenwell packages to some extent has increased the battery life too. Getting close to 7 Hrs of SOT after march update.

@booterbotter QC 3.0 is backwards compatible, which means that it will work with QC 2 devices but will not and cannot charge as quick. The Nokia 7 Plus does NOT support QC 3.0 because the hardware was never built for it.

Best phone I had so far since I started using quick charge 3.0 smartphones. Though it does not specifically says is supports QC 3.0, it does! Confirmed using my qc 3.0 power bank and charger. (Stock charger seems to be also QC 3.0!) Don't use it while its charging, QC 3.0 are obviously hot because of the electricity hello........ So stop stating that the device charger etc are quick to not work when you yourself don't take care of it. Camera is very good! Battery is enough to last for a day or two or more depends on how you use it. Performance is superb! Android One updates. Perfect for me specially when it went on sale 228 USD in my country.

Do you know - you have the option to select which microphone to use to capture audio. Just try the option in Nokia camera app. That should solve your Ozo related issues. If not, try using third party camera apps which do not have access to Ozo technology. Google cam seems to suit your needs. Check out xda-developers for recent apk.

I agree at 100% with you, this phone should be good on paper but that's all ! Screen freezes several times per day, the sound is really not good and the rom is too buggy... eg when you reply from notification the text disappears... Seriously, after read all the great reviews on web I understand Nokia paid reviewers to provide them with good ratings and that stops there. No one of the reviewers kept the 7 Plus as long than me so I know about what I' m talking about.

This should not happen. It has not been reported by many users. If you have recently upgraded to Android 9.0 or have not factory reset your phone after upgrading to 9.0, please do it. It solves all the battery related issues. Plz make sure that you back up your phone data before factory reset.

Try factory resetting your phone. Alternately you can try an application - Battery calibrator pro from google playstore. It may help. FYI: SOT of 5-6 hours is normal if you use your phone for playing games.

This is the worst phone I have used in the last 6 years. I have used iPhone, low and mid price range android phones. But I have never faced so many issues combined in one phone. I went for this model because it had the basic Android version. But it has been a disappointment. Within 6 months my battery has started to drain really fast (it lasts a few hours with battery saver and low brightness). In the night with the internet off, battery saver on and no usage if battery is 20%, I wake up to a dead phone. The headphone jack has problems and I need to restart the phone to get it to work properly most of the times. The worst thing is that in few months the charging port has almost stopped working. It shows as charging but the phone does not charge. My advice to anyone would be to go for any other budget phone and save yourself the trouble and regret.

The Touch Panel firmware on my model is: Novatek-V07 Goodix-V1.017.20 But some have Novatek-07 Goodix-V1.017.20 The models with the dull screen are the ones fitted with The Novatek-V07 component. Unfortunately you cannot tell which version you have until you check in Settings. I have to turn my brightness level up to 100% to make it look anything like decent.

Yep and it's ashame cos I love the build and I think the battery life is great even thou some other users are starting to have battery life problems now. The camera I'm not too bothered about it cos I'm not into all that aslong as it takes a picture but than again for the price you should at least expect the phone to at least run smooth. This phone freezing lark should be a thing of the past u would have thought they would have been on top of this by now. @Keith Your experience is a mirror of what I went through. I also got my N7+ from Argos after a guy in CPW tried to put me off buying it. I also had to install an app that boosted the sound because it was so low. For me, the worst thing about it is the dull white screen. I know IPS LCD screens are not as bright as AMOLED but the screen on this thing is a CREAM colour and is awful. I feel cheated and like you will never touch Nokia again.

Got the Nokia 7 plus week before christmas worked ok for about two weeks. Now screen just keeps freezing. The ringing sound for msges is reaily low so had to use an app to make it louder. The ringing sound for incoming calls is quite low aswell also now and again the sound goes of when I'm playing games but comes on for the advertisement. Touch screen unresponsive every now and again that's when it's not freezing which is the main killer off this phone. Got this from Argos cos carphone warehouse told me they had loads of complaints about it all being full of bugs wish I had listen this is the most expensive I have ever bought and I'm 36. Never again will I buy an expensive phone again especially nokia

A poorly made phone that was produced cheaply and it shows; I regret ever buying it! 1) The screen has a dull white (almost yellow) tinge to it. This is due to a hardware problem. If it has Touch panel firmware Novatek-V07 then you will have the problem which cannot be cured without a new motherboard. If it has firmware Novatek-07 then the phone is not affected. It's pot luck which version you get. Nokia are aware of the problem but is not recalling the faulty units. 2) Poor sound quality. It only has a single speaker which is low quality. If the phone is in your pocket and in a noisy environment then you will have difficulty hearing it ring. Also, I am always saying "Sorry, or Pardon", because the volume is so low. 3) The camera is okay in the daytime but struggles badly in low light conditions. As others have said, install a 3rd party one.

Hi, Yes, this phone has OZO and EIS. One thing noting though, the EIS only works perfectly with the Wideangle lens. Not so much on the Zoom lens. In addition, you can modify the OZO setting of the phone. Since this phone has 3 mics, you can set it to use only the front mic, the bottom mic, or all 3 mics as Surround Sound.

I got this phone for PHP 19,990 Philippine Peso last December 2018. So far, these are the noticable concerns with the phone: 1. It heats up when playing games. The Nokia 7 plus has a gorgeous exterior design, and a very good Zeiss camera, pictures come out looking absolutely amazing no doubt. however this phone has given me problems, i recently purchased it and had to change it twice ( 1st reason was there was no caller display when making or receiving calls and 2nd was that on the second day of having a brand new nokia 7 device it was very slow and had to press the option i want from screen numerous of times for it to respond)... till the nokia repairs people adviced that i change the phone to have peace of mind as a lot of other people were sending it in for repairs, for different reasons. I used every phone minimum 2 years so as my iphone 6s before shifting to nokia 7 plus. am not that rich to change my phone every 6 months. am using my nokia 7 plus from past 6 months by now and not encountered any sort of issues so far and intend use it for more than 2 years as the it is built, battery back up, processor speed and the updates everything looks impressive to me.

Pleas do not buy Nokia 7 Plus. It has Display Brightness Issue on Novatek-V07 panel. Brightness doesn't go below 16% and it is very uncomfortable to use in dark situations. Nokia doesn't repair it under warranty. Also this display is pee yellow compare to "07" Touch panel. Touch sensitivity issues is another problem. Bad Quality Control. Don't buy Nokia 7 Plus. Its my last device from Nokia

Though technology keeps changing everyday, cellphone companies now-a-days make their phone future-proof for atleast a year and half. Even if you are phone enthusiast, changing a phone every 6 months is just waste of money and even after six months the mid range processors are still the same unless you extend your budget. And all I could say it's a great phone & no encountered wifi, bluetooth or on-board software related problems except some 3rd party applications crashes from play store . The phone looks good and feels good but its not reliable. It will randomly reboot several times a day, even if I am on a call. The advice from the seller was that I had to do a factory reset which I have done twice now and its stable for a few weeks and then starts crashing again. The usb c connection on the bottom of the phone does not work properly. The only cable that charges the phone is the one that came with it. It won't recognise usb phone storage devices plugged in through the usb port. The touch screen is now sometimes not responding so the function has to be repeated. Very poor for this brand and I am extremely disappointed. I purchased this through Techwarehouse and they tell me that after they diagnose the problem it will take 4 to 6 weeks to repair and I have to pay for return shipping. This one needs to be sent to the ACCC for investigation.

My wifes iPhone 6 I got and my Samsung S6 are approximately 4 and 3 years old and still working fine, it is probably not getting more updates of iOS. My Samsung S6 feels slow when compared to my daughters new Nokia 7 Plus which is ok I believe, it is an old phone, probably it could benefit from a reset to factory settings. So I agree, many users, user their phones 3 years unless the screen is smashed or the phone dies when it is out of warranty.

I bought a Nokia 7 Plus for my son for Christmas and he accidentially inserted the SIMcard holder wrong which on most phones cannot be done without excessive force but on the Nokia it easily slides almost completely in, which should not be a problem since you could just remove it and insert it the right way but NO, the SIM car gets stuck and cannot be removed without phone repair. I am a Electronics R&D Engineer myself and if we made a design flaw like that, any decent company would repair without cost for the owner, the manual/user guide does not warn about this in any way. The phone was shipped for repair earlier today so I hope they will cover the cost of repair. Besides that I bought the phone because of the fast processor and phone specs at a reasonable cost.

The phone is alright, but I guess that as the hype about it died out, HMD won't focus on 7 plus anymore and we will get even slower updates and fixes. That's how it is I guess. Still if the screen colors were a bit better and it was paired with stereo instead of mono speakers I would have given 7 out of 10 , but without them 5.5 out of 10 is fair.

This is a great value-for-money solidly built phone. I've come from a Xiaomi Redmi 3S (great phone at the time) which was showing its age (battery was draining much quicker, heating up more than usual and the occasional crash). Granted this phone is a few bob more expensive but so far i have absolutely no complaints. I love the android one stock OS compared to all the other bloat-filled OS's (esp. Xiaomi MIU). Awesome screen, decent photos. So far no issues to report.

Seems like you didn't want to inform yourself. HMD is a finnish corporation made up of mostly old Nokia people. Not a Chinese Company at all. Yes, the phones are built in China but which Company doesnt do that? Also it's only 230€ right now which is a pretty goof bargain.

It depends on you. Go for Nokia 8 if you want better performance, less users facing issues and front mounted fingerprint sensor. Go for Nokia 7 Plus if you want a bigger screen & back mounted fingerprint sensor. Its battery may last somewhat higher than Nokia 8 in light/normal usage, but about same in heavy usage like playing PUBG. Neither of the phones have a great camera but Nokia 7 Plus has somewhat better camera. Nokia 8 camera is still fine. Nokia 7 Plus has a slower Chipset, especially the GPU, but it's still fast enough for heavy games like PUBG in Med-High graphics. While Nokia 8 can play PUBG in Ultra HD + Ultra Frame Rate with no lag.

This is truly a great smartphone for the price but I got the Novatek-V07 panel that's plagued with these issues: 1. Really bad yellow tint on the edges of the screen 2. Notch is not everything, taking in hands it feels like iron and processor is very powerful, only missing front flash and dedicated memory card slot, otherwise the most dominating phone, Chinese brands r vulnerable to jerks and battery r not so reliable

Well got updates last week here in UK, and everything is good and battery still lasts 2 days for me. Didn't need to do factory reset so kept all settings. Doesn't seem to be any bugs unlike Samsung phones I've had in the past, everything just works.

That`s why i just turned off the automatic update option. Go to developer options and turn off automatic system updates. Basically what it will do, it will not update your phone, even if your phone restarts or shutdown. Then later on you can update your phone manually, before confirming that they fixed all bugs in new patch, otherwise don`t update your phone.

I am using Nokia 7 plus around 5 months. Battery timing is very good, and even with typical use (Heavy use), it last until the end of the day. And with normal usage, it last one and half day. I am not a super fan of camera, so for me camera is good. Nokia 7 plus really value for money with long usage. And also now days price is dropped. And you know nokia quality always good and solid. So if you really want to use a phone for long time, go for nokia 7 plus and you will be happy. Good Luck.

The novatek touch panel/screen brightness and color issues are not exclusive to you. As far as i know it is an issue to many (if not all) of the novatek nokia 7 plus (especially the white variant accd to some reddit posts and comments) and nokia unfortunately has not acknowleged that. I have the goodix version and it works fine. The phone does have a few minor bugs although most of them don't hinder major and basic functions and nokia pushes update everymonth for bug fixes together with the google security patch. The phone is pretty good overall. Pro tip: port a google pixel cam and you'll be amazed of the phone's camera potential.

Stock android has better battery optimisation than customised skins,mia2 / mia1 have xaiomis settings pushed in it for battery savings ,xaiomis android one is not actually pure or stock android they have made changes in that using miuis settings (not that they are bad).don't know about motos ,but mia1 I have used and I know it was mentioned in the changelog somewhere that xaiomi has pushed in there own power saving settings too albiet on oreo

I do not know about the phone you have mentioned but my nokia 7 plus after pie update it further improved and with good amount of moderate usage it lasts for 2 days and with completely heavy usage except gaming will last for complete full day without any issue

Hi, I need user opinion on battery management. As we can see from the results here and elsewhere, nokia has really bad energy consumption. All phones with that big batteries outperform nokia 7 plus (check honor play for example). Even my galaxy A8 with 3000mAh outperforms nokia 7 plus by a significant margin. Recently got a Nokia 7 plus. Been using it for 3 days and already noticed a few bugs and possibly hardware problems. 1. Screen brightness. Between 0-20% brightness is the same and its very bright at the lowest. 2. Color accuracy. The screen has very cold green blue color. 3. Noticed some screen ghosting with nightmode. *Note i have the novatek v07 touch panel firmware. 4. Software bugs. Turned off auto rotate and it still rotate. 5. Software bug. Turned off draw pattern password and it still shows. 6. Notification pings 2 times with 2 different sound levels. Other than that the phone has great battery life. Usually get 5-7 sot with playing alot of pokemon go with 50-75% brightness. Rarely lags and android pie is great. But the screen is bugging me alot. I might have to send the phone on for repair.

Get the Nova 3i if you're going to use it one year or less and if you're not going to use it for banking and high security functions (Huawei has security issues). Nova 3i is feature rich though. Besides the fact that the casting does not woro with smart TVs directly, I found that Connecting to TV via HDMI does not work too. The phone is very limited on that regard.

I faced a issue with battery optimisation for some days ,since you say you recently updated it,the adaptive battery settings takes a week to settle down minimum,I hope you did a factory reset from the android menu using volume keys after the update ,the major issue is people don't understand that it's an major OS update so it's necessary to clean up previous files ,hope it helps

This is more a little problem I'm facing with my device rather than a opinion. So...I've had my 7 plus for over a few months already and recently it's been updated to 9 Pie. But recently I notice my device isn't able to hold it's charge. For some context, when it was still Android Oreo I could easily get a full day's charge with 40% left by 8 pm with moderate use. With 9 Pie installed I could still achieve similar results, but this few days by 2 pm I'll be left with 40%. This is a really drastic change in battery performance and on the Nokia community form there are also a few people with this issue but it's quite insignificant for Nokia to notice. Therefore, I'm hoping anyone facing similar issues can come forth.

The black bars are still lit. You'd miss AMOLED screen if you're moving to IPS LCD. I also watch videos with lights turned off and the black bars are still visible even when the brightness level is at 0%. I use VLC for android and often times I just "Fill Screen" to crop and fill the screen.

I want to ask a question about ips screen. Given that most new phones have non standard ultra wide screens, how does it look while watching standard 16:9 content ? There will be black bars, obviously, but how do those bars look ? I watch videos in the dark sometimes, so having those bars shining would be very bad. Every time I look around for the phone, There are only 3 things are important to me. 1 Camera and video Quality- Nokia 7 plus I should say it’s 5 star for me. I love the camera of this phone it got an excellent quality. I love the picture to to picture and taking selfie while capturing other things using rear camera. I guess and hope I’m not mistaken it is Nokia only got this camera feature at the moment. 2. Battery Life- On my experience i am a heavy internet user and this that amaze the most. The battery of Nokia 7 Plus is the best I only charged once day. This the the first mobile that satisfies me when it comes the battery life 3. Speed - it might be the best compare to others but that 4gig of ram is enough for me. Overall I am happy and satisfied with Nokia 7 plus (9 pie android version). I love this phone.

Biggest headache I ever had in the history of buying phone. Screen quality is not good. First I have novatek issue, was not able to replace or refund it because the the return/replacement window lapse when I noticed the problem. Send it for repairs and the screen bottom half is yellowish. Sent it again for repairs and now the display is yellowish on the left side and cool in the right side

If you have done so, you'd know that this phone's bootloader is locked - rooting is not an option - and HMD/Nokia has not provided an official way to unlock it. If you did research, you'd know that the features you're looking for cannot be provided by this device. But if you did and you bought it anyway, well...it's really not the device's fault.

Let me give you an example where it is not possible to get basic features by installing apps. Did you notice that you cant block apps from using internet? Including forground and background data? Including mobile and wifi?.. This crusial feature cant be installed by software unless you root your device.

I think you really need to research a lot about a product first before buying it. People (most of them) who got this phone know or have knowledge about Android One - fast software and security updates for 2-3 years and without bloatwares (and when I say bloatwares, even the most basic app like music player and file manager). This phone is feature rich hardware wise. Software/apps - you will need to install them yourself. And personally, I love this phone for that.

You might wanna port a Google Pixel Cam. Just search 'google camera port hub xda' , click on the first result and scroll down to Nokia 7 Plus (the apk is MGC_5.3.015 and there's no need to root). Regarding battery, once updated to Pie, make sure your adaptive battery is turned on (Settings > Battery > Adaptive Battery > Use Adaptive Battery (On). Some users have actually reported more than 24 hours of battery with 10 to 11 hours of screen time after they have updated to Pie and turned adaptive battery On.

I have been using this Nokia 7+ for the last 4 months here is my feedback Good viewing under sunlight even at 30% brightness [helps when checking maps while riding] Sensational camera in good light conditions - both front and rear.. low light both cameras need a lot of improvement for the cost it is being priced at Battery - doesn't last more than 12 hours my earlier Mi max 2 used to last 20 to 30 hours on similar usage Support - For Charging issues with the phone, Nokia India support staff will say to restart the phone and everything will be all right feels like 80's when we call for computer support I had given a factory reset twice and last i stopped update of all apps and now the battery management is a little better - is it an issue with Nokia or Android One updates not sure

There is no Face Unlock on any Nokia phones. Even Juho Sarvikas (HMD Global) even stated that they will not use Face Unlock since it is not secure overall. They prefer fingerprint sensors.

Android one phones are not supposed to be feature rich phones,it's using bare-bones android ,even pixel 3 doesn't have what you said,Huawei and other customise the android version their way.performance will vary on usage ,pure android is supposed to be simple and clean without any ads and bloatware popping everytime you open an app,and Nokia 7 plus ,pixel ,or any android one device will give you similar view ,as for the Google bar you can simply install lean launcher and you are good to go

just bought this phone, I changed my huawei phone (p10 lite) to this phone. I regreted EVERY PENNY spent on this device because of the Androidone version. Androidone is good for those who want to use simple phone, it is not good for those who want features like twin (double,clone) apps, better battery management options, necessary embeded apps (e.g. file management...etc). The ugly google search bar at the bottom can't be removed unless I go and replace the launcher! this is an example of the bad things forced by androidone.

not everyone is after changing their ROM every now & then. Almost 90% users will be happy with Two years of Guaranteed OS updates & 3 years of Security updates. Most people want stable OS with no random issues. FYI: Nokia has unlocked Nokia 8 recently. Most likely they will unlock 7 plus sometime next year.

If you have recently updated your phone to Android 9.0, take back up & then factory reset your phone. This should solve most of the issues. If you are still on 8.1, I would suggest you to sideload Android 9.0 build & update the phone. None of the users(From what I gather) on 9.0 are facing these issues after factory reset.

I just updated my phone and I'm using Tolyan009's gcam mod (MGC_5.3.015_B-S-G-based_v.1.0.15_final_TlnNeun.­apk). I haven't experienced any problems so far and the bokeh mode and dynamic range on gcam is far better than HMD's camera app. However, the max image resolution for the front camera on the gcam app is capped at 4MP. As far as I know it does not have that, only the generic google apps. Try sony music player 9.4.1.A.1.1. It works perfect on my 7 plus. Just download the apk and alow external source.

man ....had to appreciate the Nokia's promise of regular software update.Bought Nokia 7plus after seeing my brothers Nokia 5,which he bought in sept 2017 and has been regularly receiving security patches and OS update twice(currently running 8.1)since then.Even today got October security patch update in my 7plus.Only Nokia is a pure Android One device unlike Moto, Xiaomi etc which only claims to be Android One.Brought 7plus only because of these factors apart from the build quality and I'm loving it.Made a good decision to go with Nokia.Its a mini pixel device with its own charm.Guys don't think twice, go with Nokia and you'll feel for it yourself.

1. no such issue while video recording i have phased. after you finished taking video, go editing in the galary you will find something like stabilise the video which will correct all. 2.. while charging it gets heated but its just negligible nothing to worry its normal. So no other issues...you can go ahead buying it no problems

I'm planning to buy the Nokia 7 Plus now, but I've heard it has some software issues 1. Camera video recording blurs if you move from objects to objects a little too fast, due to EIS issue. Good camera is one of the reason I'm getting this phone. So this would be a deal breaker for me. 2. Does the phone gets alarmingly hot during charging? This would make me doubt the durability of the phone. 3. Android One animation lag / input delay. This is just a minor issue to me. That's not true, the phone is exceptionally light. Prices in different regions of the world are priced differently, in Europe is no more than 350 euro. Yes there is no IR blaster..but do you need one. The camera is alright I can't say it's below flagship quality but I can't say it's better. Nigeria is not really famous for being a wealthy country and it's located in Center Africa so for HMD to ship the phone to there is somewhat more expensive that to be distributed in Europe or Asia

Yeah, as it depends on the brightness you're using the phone, you will see at 6 to 8 hours of screen time. This is with 4G+ always on, with casual use of messaging YouTube, phone calls and such. I never left myself with the need of charging the phone twice a day. Depends on my usage personally sometimes I use the phone for 2 days straight and I still come home with battery left.

This phone sells for around 130thousand naira in Nigeria and it is called a budget phone(that really is disappointing) and yet so pricey in naira.HMD global is got to start making phones that will be affordable for Africans in particular. After around one week of Android 9 Pie. -Phone's battery life has greatly improved (although this could be due to the September update I'm not sure). -Bluetooth issues: both of my BT headphones could connect before the update. Now only one of them can. The other BT headphone is nowhere to be found in the Bluetooth discoverable devices menu. Also the Bluetooth music quality is questionable that it's not even reliable sometimes. -Overall performance of the phone is still very good or even better. Except Bluetooth issues.

3 days with the Pie update, overall is stable most of the time. There is only problems occurring while trying to multitask fast, sometimes it freezes for a second or two. Other than that I hope that with time, they will optimize the gesture moves as they are not so intuitive as the iOS. But everything else is 9 out of 10 ! Strongly recommend the phone if you're searching for a budget solution with decent specs.

Fantastic phone. Not sure why some folks have problems, but for me everything works better that the best reviews. The camera is superb and maybe I'm out of date with new phones but that the area you focus on also adapts to the light on that area is cool. Pie works as per the reviews, very impressed with gestures and battery saving. And, lets face it, the IOS look is better.

No. "A hard reset will completely erase all the data, settings and content on your smartphone, returning it to the original factory settings." that's from Nokia website. The option was "Wipe data/factory reset". I reset mine too while still on Oreo. While booting up after the reset my phone requested for an internet connection and Android P is downloaded/ installed.

I did a factory reset before the update which I just did (Philippines). So far all OK except the gesture where you swipe your finger downward on the finger print scanner to pull down notification is gone unless it is in some settings I have not found yet.

this is not a problem, just swipe up from the home button and tap the little app icon at the top and choose split screen then open the other app that you want to use. it's not gone, it's changed with Android Pie

Android Oreo Battery: Good No bugs or problems in my experience Security update august 1st Never got security update for september. Android Pie 17 days after the 28th september. Battery: a bit better So many problems, even after many resets of the phone. Apps: -Snapchat acts slow and flicker sometimes so you have to restart the app. -Bank id dont work so no banking on the phone anymore. -Several apps crash or dissapear(show no crash report) for no reason. -Wifi dont always show. -Sometimes the phone randomly freezes on unlock screen and you need to restart the phone. -Alarm dont always make a sound. -RuneScape mobile dont start at all. -Bluetooth not finding my wireless headsets anymore, but other computers. And then i used the 3.5mm headphone jack for the first time and its acctually broken or only give sound in one ear and my headphones work fine in other devices. From good to garbage in one major update! good job Nokia. So much for a 10/10 in many mobile tests. And nokia support could not help me or give me a new phone or money back. they told me to return it to the store but they say they can't do anything if its software related. Such bullshit from both parts. Never again will I buy Nokia sadly.

You just need to hold the app card when you are in recent app menu and slide it down a bit to see split screen option.

Just had a small problem for the past few days, with the mobile data no longer connecting after the Android 9.0 update. After a factory reset, mobile data is working again. I just have a single gripe with the new update. Which is that the split screen functionality seems to have disappeared. So you can no longer watch a YouTube video and browse chrome at the same time, or read something and take notes. I am curious if other users have also met this problem.

Well I also just found out I can't use my bt headset with my phone anymore after the update. They are no where to be found when I'm trying to pair them. So I'm now throwing this shit phone out of my window. Becouse I never in my entire life had such problems with just an update on a phone and Nokia support can't do shit where i live. It's simply perfect, totally stable.Had updated to android P on 28th September and I can surely vouch on android P's stability on this device.It's totally stable and till now have not found even half a bug.Guys here are complaining about bugs after updating there device simply because maybe,maybe they don't know the right steps to update their device.The only right process to update your device is,after updating your device OS (not monthly security patches) just factory reset your device ASAP.Resetting your device after an update will clean the remaining clutters from old OS and hence will make your device bug free,smooth and stable. Well if you even get games to run, most games just don't open at all and need to reinstall every time I want to play a game. Was with the Nokia support for almost 3 hours tryin to figure out what was wrong until I just got to frustrated and closed the chat. The store I bought the phone in don't accept returns unless it's actually broken. I think this update was not tested enough for all regions. That's why many face issues. The whole phone was for me better before update. Now I cant use my bank apps also like I said many games just crash or won't work at all. The whole system is changed I don't like the settings menu and the Google search bar that takes up alot of space and can't be removed?... After 3 total resets of my phone I'm now done trying. We just have to wait weeks or maybe months for this to get fixed. So can't agree with you. But I'm glad it worked for you 😊

received the Pie update in the 9th of October, really great update that fixed a lot of annoying issues, such as the double red bars in the top and bottom of the screen when you turn on the battery saving mode. my favorite thing is that the video sound quality in social media apps is now fixed. the whole phone is smoother and faster, also slightly better battery (around 7-8 hours of screen on time on mid-heavy use). google should improve the navigation gestures and make it as good as one plus or iphone x.

Android 9 Pie update is very stable and it has improved the performance and battery life a lot and no more heating issues when playing high graphics games like PUBG. Learn about Android Pie before you update. Overall it's like a budget Pixel 3 and its performance is punching way above its weight. This is the best smartphone that Nokia ever created.

Like many others here ive also faced alot of issues. With apps and other stuff. And that google search bar wtf?, im now in the live chat with nokia tryin to get help or a new phone with oreo. DONT UPDATE! Its the worse update ive seen and no way of rollback nothing has really changed more then the whole interface that i hate. and battery is still the same. Many functions are gone or hidden, very confusing. Android crashalot is the right name.

Nokia 7 plus display quality is terible and bad calibrated. You cant change the color profile. Its nice contrast and punch color, but not accurate. Too warm. Everything else is good, ozo audio, good manual camera control, nice design, perfect build quality, no notch.

Not bad for the price , still didn't receive android pie because Nokia released the software only for 10% of the devices and only in India, the battery is amazing 1.5 days on pretty heavy use, the screen is very-good especially for netflixing if you're using a proper screen protector, the camera is amazing when using google camera app but there is a very bad crop ratio when taking videos with your front camera, other very annoying problem is the MICROPHONES , when you take videos with any social media or third party app you barely can hear anything.

Bought this phone and WITHIN 24 HOURS the screen went flickering at times and other times touch went unresponsive for minutes at a stretch. For a new phone, you don't expect much lag or shock or water damage from your end. This watered down any excitement I had after buying this phone. Had to chase the service centre and give it for repair, now waiting for 2 weeks without it. As a customer, expected that Nokia would have been more careful in their part analysis during manufacturing itself. Very very disappointed. Rest of the phone works fine, interface could have been more customizable. Camera is superb. Screen size is also good.

No split screen option is there. It's there on the Top of the minimised app. Just click on the icon of the minimised app you will get. I didn't face any heating issue after the update..

nokia 7 plus has EIS for video so there is no shaky thing at all even before the update. Battery is the main reason I bought this phone and with moderate use it lasts for 2 days and with heavy use one completely day and still some 20-30% left. after the new update it is still optimised with the battery management feature.

How is this 600$ ??? This is 300$ phone. Regarding the speaker. You're getting mono on both 7 plus and g5s plus. So there's no issue there. The real issue is if it below average sound. Choosing g5s plus over this would've been a mistake because that phone is old and runs on slower processor. 7 plus has latest technology from Bluetooth to processor to camera and 18:9 display. Comes with Snapdragon 710 and is a notch above every other mid range phone available. Flash gcam in your phone and unleash the raw performance of carl Zeiss optics.

I've had this phone for over a month now and I am really impressed by the battery life and it's performance, but that's about it really. My last phone was the LGG3, and apart from the stupid blue screen issues, random crashes and overheating like no tomorrow, I reckon that phone would have trounced most phones released today, even the current LG G Series line up, needless to say I really liked that phone. So I guess I was not really hoping for much of an improvement with the N7+ except for the two features I commended above, speed and battery life. However there are some things that I am a little disappointed about, the audio quality being one of the biggest. Plug in a pair of earphones and you are good to go, no problems there. However, playing the music over the loudspeaker is just... horrible. The audio sounds muffled and going to the loudest volume will result with static and distortion in the playback. It is so frustrating that this problem exists on a phone at this price range. I was just changing the ringtone on my phone to one of my favourite songs, and watched as the N7+ just regurgitate it back out. After giving the loudspeaker so many chances, I was inspired to make this review, right now after hearing that mess. I was considering the Moto G5S Plus before opting for the N7+ due to the three year updates and 2 years of security updates (not sure if it's the other way around). I kind of wish I had gone with the Moto G5/ G5S Plus now, considering it was half the price and the audio quality was something that was boasted on that device. All in all the N7+ is a good phone if you are looking for future proofing. You can't go wrong with the updates, the CPU and RAM, large storage capacity and the extended SD card compatibility. All things considered, I'm sure I will grow to live with the audio quality and find this phone to live up to the task. Few More Nitpicks: Two fingers and a Thumb for a Headphone Jack? The Audio Jack, takes an uncomfortably large amount of force to insert and remove the earphone jack compared to other phones, so much so, that I worry that if the ear phones get tugged, the earphone jack (on the earphones, not the phone jack) will definitely be damaged, compared to other phones which release the jack when this happens. How Much Do You Enjoy Good Video Quality? This really grinds my gears. If you use the Youtube App, everytime you open the app and watch a video you have to go to the on-screen video settings and change the video quality of the video from 480p (ALWAYS AT 480p) over to the max setting. Set it to Auto and guess what? You get the finest 640x480 pixels that feel like working, with 1080p playback available, but you have to choose it, every single time you leave the app. This can be fixed by a simple software update. I just hope Nokia gets on that soon. I'm curious if other Nokia users have the same problem, I know a few of them reported the same issue of low quality video playback with Facebook and Instagram, I think most video playback software. For a $600 AUD phone Nokia, these problems should not exist. Not by any phone, it's just unbelievable to make these mistakes now. Even my old HTC Incredible S (released in 2010) can produce better sounds at max volume than the N7+, that shouldn't be happening. Come on Nokia, Step up here!

I use nokia 7 Plus as my secondary phone cuz i use my iPhone X as my daily driver. to be honest one of the best Android experience that i ever had. Opening and closing apps are breeze. My brother's S8 plus never come close to the smoothness with SD835. I have no headphones issues or over heating issues. Using GCam for photography. It makes photos much much better

Its due to demand. In Pakistan nokias demand has fallen since its downfall. I had to search 15 shops before i found nokia 7 plus. I dont think any phone can beat this one at this price range specially if you consider its reliability.

Iam using the phone from last 3-4 months..it has been excellent experience with the 7 plus...no lag ..no heating issue.....it comes with battery intelligence that stops charging if your battery temp goes beyond normal temp. Camera quality is superb..i never expected such quality in this price...video quality is fantastic comes with ozo audio(3 mics)....also it do have a sexy look so iam just loving this product

My first Nokia after E90 (decided pretty wisely not to buy any Windows phones..), and after 1 1/2 months of use I'm very satisfied. Phone is very solid, quality is great, battery life very good if not even great-always more than day of quite powerful use-, display as well very good. Have to give extra thanks to camera which i much much better than expected after read some reviews, not sure if has something to do with last update because it seemed to be worse before that. Last phone was S7 which by my opinion was great phone with excellent camera, but after 2years of use found that battery life was not what expected and 5.1 screen quite small. I'm not gamer and normal use is basicly quite lot of web, mails/whatsup, taking photos, and some videos etc

it depends on which Nokia care you select all nokia care's are not dedicated they are third party you need to check first rating instead of going there but no matter what nokia will solve your issue with free of cost as its under warranty

this is not waste money some electronic device have defect my Nokia 6 too got defect but within 10 days i get full phone replacement with a new fresh device with free of cost i have not given them any money its all under warranty even after 6 months of use. Few months before my office collegues where saying they have a iphone which have better support on which they give full device replacement but you need to consider the iphone cost and Nokia 6 cost where i get a fresh new device from Nokia Care. I like their support now this phone is also 6 months old still working fine this is called a trusted brand.

Shouldn't it be covered by warranty?? Regarding Poco F1, yes it gives great bang for the buck. However, we can't guarantee that it won't have issues at all. Actually, this kind of risks applies to all brands.

It's very good device. I am using it for 45 days. No problem at all. No lag no stutters and up to date android experience. This month it confirmed to get pi update. I am putting my phone in a case, till now no scratches. Its a all rounder You can go for it without any hesitation. Bro every phone company faces problems in 1 or 2 devices out of 1000 they manufactured. It's common, by this we cannot judge that company is bad.

This is one of the worst experience by buying this product. Purchased with the hope that Nokia will maintain quality of products. But unfortunately within 15 days of buying camera got issue. When reached service centre it's surprised that most of people came with camera issue. Moreover the future and options we get from other brands it's doesn't. It works like basic android phone.

Poco is a real value for money smartphone but Nokia 7 plus is on another level when it comes to stability, high quality materials and an impressive build quality because aluminum costs more than plastic, Android one (faster updates) cleaner software. etc. So each phone is targeted at different customers. Both phones are a real value for money and don't forget the after sales service is very important which Nokia is really good at.

You forgot to mention that 7+ has Nfc, better build quality and better display. And, correct me if I am wrong, apps on the Poco runs with square corners on the top and rounded at the bottom, same as the Asus 5 and 5z. That's horrible. I'd choose 7+ any day.

Hi guys, have been usjng the phone since May, its wonderful but after the Oreo update, Bluetooth has started disconnecting, i have tried 3 different audio devices and also reset network settings and few more setting advised on the forum and by Nokia support. Anyone else facing the same issue, any fix that worked, i need the Bluetooth connection to play music and its quite annoying to be disconnected every minute or 2. Would be greatful for any help I receive.
