Bought C7 today for 15 euros. Good condition, just couple of small scratches on the screen, battery in good condition. All smartphones are too big to carry at work, so this is going to be number one phone (at least for a while). After resetting and setup everything is working smoothly. What do I need? Calling and texting. Music player, and radio (which is very sensitive btw). Simple notepad and calculator. Had some movies on the sd-card and they work perfectly. That's it. I like have a little break from smartphones every now and then, so this is perfect gadget for me :)

This was my great phone, from 2011 to 2014 before it's gone by thief. By the way, i like what Nokia did on C7. Amoled screen, 8MP, Symbian Belle (looks like Android 2.1, only with Nokia UI), and something interesting like NFC that any other phone still doesn't have. I wonder Nokia want create again C7, but with Android inside. I will buy it if it happen.

hi I had the same problem it played huu pornhub videos on hd but can not play youtube I found solution for that download and install opera browser and access youtube from that browser but the quality of the videos on youtube are always low 140p only

My wife is just getting a repaired brown C7. As for youtube playback and upload you want cutetube2, for music playback Quasar MX Make sure you try to get a spare bl5k battery. With Belle refresh and updates you get faster user interface and even some Microsoft programs that still work well. No new map updates for about the past way or so but still recommended.

I have this phone since 2010. Everything about it still works fine, with the exeption of battery. To its defence I never changed it and it lasts for a half a day plus. Strong build. Mails working. Maps working. Internet 3,5G. The only problem Im having for the past year or so, are youtube videos. For some reason it stopped playing them at one point and I've tried everything I read on forums. Nothing worked for me. It wont even play them from wifi access. It runs facebook videos smoothly though, thankfully. Any idea anyone how to fix it? I was thinking of maybe reseting and putting belle from scratch.

Bought a second hand C7 for $25 what a bargain! It's a gold colour very classy looking and feeling. Unlocked it and updated to Nokia Bella Refresh which included Microsoft office app bonus! Had a more a advanced andriod but this feels and looks a better phone sound quality is much better for phone calls. Although OS is no longer supported there's enough games and apps to keep phone relevant and users happy. I intend to keep using this phone until 3G network no longer available.

C7-00, what a strong phone from Nokia collections. Still very efficient since 2011 i bought it. battery still quite lasting. the screen is real scratch resistant. no scratch on it despite this long years of service without screen guard. just that the trend has past by C7. modern software no longer compatible with the upgraded belle. However, the hardware is as strong and cool as new. I don't think this kind of phone will ever be made; very smart in all areas. Nokia pls come up, we are waiting. not these fragile but expensive lumia now.

Perhaps one of the best smart phones ever made by Nokia. Very handy, yet packed full with all you want in a phone except BB download. It seems to me that it was developed to test the efficacy of smart phones because although it marked one of the start points of smart phones, it still compares to most, if not any of those after it. 4 years and some odd 9 months after, I still can't do without it as my primary phone. Still kicking 5 years after I bought it despite a fairly high amount of abuse. A little worse for wear, software support has evaporated, browser support is so outdated my bank won't let me access my account with it. But otherwise it's really been worth it. Screen is still scratch free 3 years after I stopped using screen protectors, the plastic body is in great condition, the metal battery cover is dented and banged up but still intact, one of the speakers on the back has broken but it has 2 so it still has speaker phone and music abilities. Battery life has held up, still lasts longer than co-workers newer phones. I'm running an 8GB microSD on it with no problems. Nokia, I miss your phones. Call me when you stop making cheap versions for Windows phones.

do hard reset using key combinations.see what is happening.if it is not works then install camera application of symbien belle or anna which is available in net.I think it will work.But do all that at your own risk..

@Alpha. Had that camera error, i think it usually comes due to memory problems wen a video is not correctly saved. If u have a memory card in yo c7, change camera settings from saving to E-mass memory, rather save images and videos to your memory card. The error message won't appear again. Later on u can switch back to yo mass memory, it will automatically clear the bad video or image, then enjoy using yo c7. Alternatively you can restore yo fon by *#7370#, or format E-mass memory. Otherwise it's a great fon better that most androids and WPs

Are you using 3G? it gets hot sometimes when using 3G. If not, do a factory rest or reinstall the firmware again.

guys, this is a great fon- with combined good specs and durable hardware. I never regret moving from windows 8.1. I'm still using it with s\anna but its gud, i'm yet to upgrade to belle refresh. This fon is stable compared to other os. Nokia blundered when they stopped improving their own symbian os. Hope theywill realise &come back to their os- great fon

What a great phone what a shame Nokia didn't promote it more when it first came out. At the time of it's release I remember that blackberry's were in fashion look what happened to that rubbish. Sure you can! ... just go to Nokia suite and there is a process. It allows you to transfer everyting from the Nokia phone to Windows phone.

I agree , bought mine back in Feb 2011 ( it is a Gorilla of a Phone ) strongly built HOWEVR ... What is is with Nokia phones that DUST find its way to the screen ?? You simply have to clean it every few weeks.... BAAAH! Not the best for apps.but really stable device, thought had to have it Factory reset since one of its updates have really messed it up. Nokia C7 works on all OS ( Windows - Mac - Linux ) simply plug and play mode. My rating 6.5/10 cheers

Sometimes almost all phones restart... software issues. In your case it is the downloaded apps that might be causing the problem. Free up more RAM in the C: drive and see. Mine has not misbehaved in the several year of ownership. It keeps on going like a champ. Thus, I am reluctant to let this phone go.

I have mine for about 4 years too. Still looks as good as new. Very strong and durable. For my browsing and other needs, I use my Android tablet. No complaints, battery life is good and the phone functions flawlessly. I'm gonna keep mine for... well I guess as long as it does not give me any problems. Cheers!!! the first thing is u have to place all of your image files on the default image folder in mass memory or memory card.second is,if u had removed ur battery from ur phone before the restoration is complete it won't show ur images in your gallery.I hope my answer helped you

Do NOT buy this phone! First of all because it is symbian (there are not lot of apps for this OS (Symbian Belle)), second - it is too slow, it only has 800 Mhz processor which is too low for doing more than 2 operations at once. Third - the camera is 8 Mpx which is great but qoality of photos are not as good as in other phones with 8 Mpx camera. There are not soo many browsers and basic applications like text editor, ftp client.. Which is really bad.. But that is my opinion. Maybe you may like it ;)

You should try macro photography on a Nokia C7 with a small good piece of magnifying glass. It works very well. I do it sometimes to capture small text and graphics within a printed page. The results are quite pleasing. Just put the glass in front of the camera lens. Try it out until you get the hang of it. Cheers!

The battery lasts a good 3 days with moderate use... I discovered that on my two day outing trip. I did not charge the phone for two days straight and still there was 40% juice on the third day. Moderate use with some gaming and some talk etc.

Hanging / Freezing etc only occurs if you install some incompatible apps and other software. My mobile never freezes and runs well. Unistall the culprit or format the mobile and reinstall a fresh firmware.

You gotta connect the phone to a PC with Nokia Suite installed. Once you connect the phone, the computer and PC suite will recognize the phone. From the Suite you can check for updates and have them installed. Cheers!!!

My Overall Opinion the phone is good. This phone is a Uniq One. Most significate is its camera. Especially Video.But Not autofocus. Good OS but the phone crash when app loading(if wait some time it will open smoothly). Good Battery backup 1.5+ days for semi intensive use. Theme and modding makes this phone make cool look.

No it does not... in fact it rarely hangs if at all. I have only experienced two instances of freezing in the entire 4+ years of ownership. Why do I keep on holding on to this phone?... it serves my purpose well, and I have an android tablet for my more Net related aspects.

Hi Guys Had my C7 for 4yrs since new the only issue is i had to replace the touch pad screen. Went to nokia to fix they sad it was phased out and could not help me. I was so dissapointed because the new nokia phones are not as good as the old models so dissappointed.I got a cel phone guy who had a part none genuine but it did the job. I still like my c7 good for games and photos as well as mp3 player. But hope Nokia will improve service and phone God bless you all.

hey folks, this is just my opinion. I installed the latest firmware (belle) all over again. But I had to do it three times in two days, because of certain issues. Wifi connection etc etc. I have noticed that the phone is best upgraded when the net connection is strong and fast. The third time I did, the connection was good and now everything functions perfectly. Funny yet true. Cheers!!!

Bluetooth is available from the notifications area itself. Just tap on the button. It is also available in the Connectivity submenu within Settings. Nokia Bluetooth is easy and quite reliable (except when pairing with some phones of some other brands). You'll have to pair the devices to make reliable hasslefree transfers.

Why dont you free up the C: System memory drive a bit, set the phone to factory default settings and reinstall the firmware completely again and see. It should work.

Hi, I had a chance to share some photos via NFC with another C7 and it worked good. Photo and music sharing was easy and quick. First turn on NFC in both the devices and you'll have to tap the backs of both the devices.

hi i am using it from more than two years i have best opinion about it with the software updates and all. i think i used it in rough handling although its battery backup is so good with bigger quality of camera. until i didn't faced any problems.

To cut a long story short, excellent value for money and great device. I have been using it for over two and half years, with upgreat grade to belle and never had any problems.It does what it is expected with great ease of use.With, mail, IM, G talk , very easy to switch between apps, and it sgreat you can have 5 to 6 open apps runnnig on the fly and switch between them with the hardware button between the caal&reject hardware buttons. Hardware is also a very strong point of the device, solid metal back with great pront panel glass that vibrates...The battery is after all this time of heavy usage still holding 15-20hrs... Last but not the least, the camera and photos.I have a good digital cam but since one carries much more often a cell then acam I made over 4500 photographs with it....thanks Nokia Suite, next device Lumia 1020

The photos are good despite the fixed focus -was the compromise I had to deal with. Video quality good as well. Camera could've been a tad better. i have this phone since last 3 years...not a single day when i have faced any issue. One of the best mobiles ever. Anna update was really god. Feel so sad that Nokia went for Windows when all they should have done was to attach Android market to Symbian. Booked Nexus 5 last week but still gonna keep this phone. Hope Nokia comes back after 10 years and get rid of that Windows software. If anyone has used windows you will realize how tiles start to appear boring after some time and one craves for wall papers.

Mine's been just over 3 years and still looks very new. Has survived several nasty drops on hard surfaces without damage other than some minor scratches. Can't match the current new breed of phones in terms of speed and web, but still has a lot of functions that put many of the new phones to shame. A good product from Nokia. Cheers!!!

Skype and Nokia is Microsoft now... they can easily allow video chat on the C7 if MS wants... I doubt they would do that as they want the Windows phone sales to pick-up speed.

It's because of the Proximity Sensor... it is activated when you put your ear / face to the phone... I havent tried it ... but I guess you could turn it off from the Sensor settings (which is in Settings ... Phone)

Web has not been a strong point in Symbian phones... though it works just fine enough. About turning off (restarting problem)... I guess it might be some corrupt files... Formatting your phone and reinstalling the firmware might solve the problem.

Your contacts and your other contents can be saved and transferred another phone via Nokia suite. As for the screen, I'm not sure and have never faces such a situation. I guess you may have to visit Nokia service center. Maybe someone else can advise you on that matter. Have you tried shutting down the phone and restarting? Have you dropped the phone?

About Lag... Even Jelly bean lags bigtime... My Jellybean tablet sometimes lags (freezes) to the point of frustration... that's the time I feel like throwing it to the ground and see it shatter. Mind you, it's got a dual core 1.7 Mhz CPU and Mali 400 GPU and 1 GB RAM. Still, for no apparent reasons ... it just crawls or stands still for a long time... and sometimes it works like a charm. Funny!!!

Wouldn't it be nice to have a Dream Phone with all the features, great battery life, build quality, huge storage space + micro sd slot, NFC, FM radio with transmitter, TV out and receiver and all the rest. + a camera of Lumia 1020 and a desktop grade CPU and GPU. This was an Amazing phone! Used it for 3 years and just Switched to the Nexus 4 This phone had everything it was just so sluggish in comparison to the new phones but they have half the features. - things I mis: - quick flashlight by depressing the on button, - quick camera button, - FM radio and transmitter! -Bluetooth use to sync with my Car phonebook I'm almost tempted to switch back ;-/ Only if I could get the same phone with android apps and a faster processor, it doesn't seem to exist ?

Hey bro... I guess you have too much stored in the gallery folder... that is, it should not matter, but I think your C:Phone Memory drive is quite full and lacks space. You should free-up space there. I like to keep it about 200 MB free to keep it running smoothly without a glitch. My gallery opens almost instantly. Direct the camera to save to a different location (a folder in the SD Card or something). Check the gallery content and sort them out. Then restart the phone and see.

Well, I received some updated this morning... think it was some email stuff, some calendar improvements, and some other updates probably quite minor... but yeah!!! I don't know what is your problem, I have the C7 and I have been using What'sApp for ages, They do say that you should be patient , and I have downloaded 3 times already, They say Download only last a certain time, But re load and it's fine, just keep on at it. check your settings and also your SP conditions . If you face lag or freezes (Hangs)... folks, I suggest you to reinstal the latest firmware all over via PC and Nokia Suite. Save your internal files on the pc before the format. Then also format the E(Mass memory) drive. Reinstall the firmware and check. It should solve most of the problems.

If you are going for ome of the mentioned Nokia phones, go for 701. Better CPU & GPU. More RAM, OS is the latest. Better camera. etc. The TV out function works very well (I have a C7). allows you to watch videos or view photos on the TV and also do a lot of other stuff. No doubt the ARM 11 is a capable processor as is the Broadcom GPU. After two years of use... the mobile is still not outdated... because it came loaded with great futuristic features right from the start. Cheers!!!

Folks, though the C7 is a good phone, what I like about Google (Android - specially Jellybean) is the Net. It connects easily and browsing is good... specially 'Google Now' and the voice recognition. So I went for an Android tablet. I'd definitely like to go for the new Nexus 7. and yes! the Playstore is huge. Anyway, folks, C7 can last you a few more years if you decide to keep it... Nokia has killed Symbian... and Nokia Windows phone might be a better option. Or... maybe the MotoX. No hard feelings folks, every OS has its positive and negetive aspects... Just do what the heart says and enjoy. Cheers!!!

Yup! the Nokia C7 is good... to look at, good to hold, is strong with a solid build, fits perfectly in the hand and the pocket amd is also a capable phone with a good battery life. ...anyway I got an Android tablet to mess around with and know that the OS is quite unstable with frequent freezes. It has required reinstalling the entire firmware three times in the past two months. The OS is very demanding.

yes the power saving mode ... when activated can really save the battery. one can set the timing and when activated it runs on the bare essentials and saves battery. A great feature... Cheers!!!

If you connect to only 2G with moderate use, it should last you 2 days... mine has gone upto 3 days.... If you connect to only 3G then it should last you one full day. If you play games and browse or watch movies etc, expect less. The battery is quite good on the C7... Would really have been great with a 1500mAh battery.

My Dell over the ears bluetooth headset works like this. Turn off the bluetooth device... turn on the bluetooth on the phone... go to bluetooth menu on the phone.... go to paired devices .... 3G network does heat up the battery a bit ... but not quite like what you have mentioned. Many phones have heating problems... my friend's Sony Xperia-Z really heated up initially as did the HTC sensation.

Sorry I barged in with an opinion... No!, it is not a bad phone. True it lacks the gigantic app market of Android... but the phone comes pre-installed with great goodies and is ready to use immediately. While on Android you have to download all the goodies and you will have a hard time choosing. The stock video player can play 720p videos (even MKV files) whereas even on Galaxy S3 you have to download players like MX player. The build quality is superb. It feels rich in the hands and is very sturdy. And the Battery lasts 2 - 3 days. No regrets so far. Would I buy it again? I guess times have moved on... now, I would go for a phone with better web browsing experience. Cheers!!!

I got a L920 a month ago, but am definitely keeping my two(+) year old C7 as backup. I have seen it metamorphosize thru Anna, Belle & Refresh, and each change really make it feel like a new phone. In terms of speed, whistling bells and whistles, it shows it does show its age. BUT, it has tricks up it sleeve most new top of-the-line phones dont have, namely:- 1) Play to radio & 2) USB OTG - one of its best function I really missed on the L920. Would I reccommend the C7 now? No. There are better phones out there, but you wont get its versatilty or quite the same built quality - hey - it has stainless steel back plates! Cant beat that!! LOL

I am very sorry that Nokia abbandon Symbian... I think it was OS with a great potential, but developed little too slow. Now I am using Optimus 4x... Great phone and the Androud is great OS! I think you might be disappointed with close-up shots of this phone. It is a full focus type and not auto-focus. Thus extreme close-ups are not possible without blur.

I've been using this phone for more than 1 & half year. And the best thing about Nokia c7 is that it can handle almost every heavy functions like playing hd videos (1280*720), hd games and other memory consuming tasks effortlessly with its 680 mhz little cpu & broadcom gpu. Secondly, battery backup is so good. Infact, I can say that its like a bike which gives average like platina and performs like pulsar. Thirdly, built is rock solid and corning gorilla glass makes it uncomparable. Fourthly, its amoled display it good enough to use under sunlight (provided you use lancet brightness switcher to maximize the brightness). Fifthly, I think belle os is more efficient than android as it supports true multitasking and comsumes less memory to run an app. Because it has got only 256mb ram still it can manage 4-5 heavy app to run simultaneously smoothly. Conclusion: I am a proud owner of this classic phone. :)

yeah thats the bad thing about the phone. i dd some research and discovered that the c7 is bad at taking close up shots (take pics of objects and ppl at least 50cm away from phone). its because the camera is fixed focus, not auto focus. but the video camera is pretty gud.

nokia c7 is the most interesting cell where u can do almost any thing like downloading videos by youtube downloader , inccrease the speed of internet by using special called Opera . you can download themes from ovi or search for special theme like iphone theme for nokia by searching through google . you can download or watch hindi movies,serials and WWE by visiting www.desitv.com .dont save on phone memory , save on memory card allways . but one problem that it is slow to download ,u can watch videos(not clearly but fluently on youtube) . this phone is too straight forward and easy . download software carefully from ovi , some software doesnt support c7 , i dont anything about communiccation but can also perform this task as well. Hi Joe, I think you are using the wrong theme. I am using a theme called 'Nokia Evolve' and everyting seems ok. You can even download more themes. First you try another theme and let us know. I still have Nokia C7, and use it for phone calls and other stuff, but I have an android tablet now and have been quite busy with it lately. It does not have telephony, but is for the internet and games. I guess I will stick with C7 for some more time now as I have a 7 inch android tablet to fool around and experiment. I still find C7 beautiful and practical with the right size and dimensions. Cheers!!!

sid, go to Settings ... Phone ... Accessories ... TV-Out ... then select Active profile in Default Profile ... Select TV system (mine is PAL) ... Flicker filter is on ... TV aspect ratio is Widescreen. You should now get TV out. Maybe you might have to restart.

@chris11 ... bro, just open the back cover and where it says SIM, you can pull out the sim with your fingernails. In case of difficulty, use a pin. MicroSD card goes underneath the battery under the sim card.

joe bro... the front camera is verymuch available for video calls, chats and clicking self-portraits even after Belle update. Mine works just fine. Incase you have a problem after the update, just do the factory reset and reinstall the update again.... but in my case that was not necessary.

This must be the worst phone I ever had. It's my third smart phone after a HTC and Nokia 5230. It is extremely fragile, one drop from desk top and the screen is gone! The 5230 was indestructible! The C7 freezes, its slow and unresponsive. The Symbian (Belle)operating system is a sad platform, very little software available. Nokia software updates are an annoyance and useless. My Phone got scrambled after doing an official software update and Nokia wanted to be paid to correct the problem! Nokia care stores suck, they are of no help. Do yourself a favor and avoid Nokia all together!

Bro... Micromax, and other Indian brands get Chinese made phones and rebrand them... they are doing the same with tablets. The Chinese can make things really affordable for the general public. In 2013, the heat will be on as to who will produce the best and most affordable tablets with the best specs. I guess it's a good time to be a consumer. Phones makers too are facing a really stiff competition and 2013 looks like a promising year for that. Cheers!!! For all the good things yet to come. At the moment, I guess Nexus 7 with some rooting (hacking) will suite my needs. Cheers!!!

Hi Ashman!! Yes, ur right. you can't upgrade to every new phone that comes along. I bought a Lumia for a change even though my C7 was working perfectly, but I'm happy, its a different kind of phone. The Nexus 7 is good..if you're after a tablet. You'll also be able to update to the latest Android version whenever its released. One suggestion if you want a phone instead, generic Android phones are quite cheap and have latest OS like Jellybean too, companies like Micromax and Karbonn also make good Android phones which are cheap. I have recently bought a Chinese dual sim, dual core 5.3 inch phone running Jellybean because I wanted to use one sim for data and another for calls and it works very well, and needless to say, it was cheap. Its less bulky than a 7 inch tablet but with a 5.3 inch screen, its very easy to browse or read or watch movies on it too. Cheers!

If you have internet connection and Nokia Suite installed... once you connect the phone to the computer and open Nokia Suite, ... the suite will detect your operating system and version and notify you if any updates are available. You can check for the updates manually by going to Tools ... Software updates. Just follow the instructions and wait for the update to finish and enjoy.

samy, I disagree with you about the reception quality of C7. In my experience, it is better and on many Androids from Samsung and HTC and many other brands. Nokia has always been acclaimed for good reception quality. You may be right about the 701 battery as it is slightly more powerful. I have yet to try it.

r.k bro... Symbian phones production has officially been terminated. But I suppose it will keep on being supported is some way or other for some more time. If you want to move to Symbian just for the battery, it is your personal choice. Yes Nokia Store also offers many apps and games etc... but nowhere quite like on Android market. Android phones get the latest in development and many developers have moved on to developing for the Android phones. But Nokia still offers considerable goodies. Most of the built in Apps are good on a Symbian, while you have to download many utilities for the Andorid phones. However, I would not advice you to move to Symbian ... specially now that the production has been killed. Skype, Facebook and Viber are all available for Symbian... but you will feel that they lack the fluidity. Skype and Viber do not have voice support. Why dont you try a Nokia Windows phone.

one thing i dislike about this phone is the poor reception because of the aluminum used. Its much more likely to lose signal compared to any other phone i have used. battery life is also poor but its easily solvable if you buy the 701's battery.

I used to have this phone for 2 years and i can only say that its absolutely brilliant. The only downfall is that it was too slow when browsing heavy internet pages, and also the poor baterry (solved when i bought the 701's battery). Otherwise the build quality is out of this world. it fell numerous times and nothing ever happened. Symbian belle is very convenient and tuns smooth. It had some goodies that were rare at the time like NFC, and some others that cant be found ANYWHERE now like the FM transmitter. Music player was better than the one i currently have on android. If only symbian wasnt dead...

pete, I often successfully connect pen drives of various capacities. I have also connected a mouse and an eternal keyboard. I have only once successfully connected a small external hard drive to the phone. The thing is external hard drives require considerable power to operate (they are actually laptop hard drives and laptops require considerably more power to run). I believe that if the drive can be powered through an external power supply, the phone would be able to read it. Otherwise, it might be asking for too much from a not so powerful cell phone. Go ahead and try it and let us know. Cheers!!!

While it is true that the type and amount of use determines battery life of a phone, it also depends upon the screen size and apps and apps running in the background etc etc. But given the same battery capacity and similar CPU & GPU and similar screen size etc, I belive Symbian can beat the Droids ... at least in battery life. ... It is purely my opinion.

eddy, the problem you mentioned is not even a problem. The Proximity sensor in the phone turns off the screen when you make or receive a call and bring the phone up to your ear. It does not happen when you use handsfree.

Symbian is officially dead now... a sad day for all of us and Symbian lovers. That means no more support from Nokia. I will however continue to use C7 till I move to another platform. It could be Android or WP. I guess we now hold a treasure in our hands now� or it could be junk depending upon how you feel. I still feel C7 is a brilliant piece of engineering and feels solidly built and fits the pocket easily. Just wish there were more apps. Android has won due to sheer number of Apps. I have a Samsung SDuos, which my wife uses. It is inferior to C7 but the apps are great. I guess Nokia as a company has taken a wise decision to put Symbian to rest and move on with WP. Let�s hope they continue to show their innovative approach and win the public back.

Thanks for your response.I have also been usinng the fone for up to 3 years now. It used to restart even when I was using Anna not often though, but I was shocked to see it so much deteriorated in the case of Belle. Is there any update coming soon? And what are the anticipated features? The fone is nice, so awesome with the symbiam belle OS, regardless of its restarting issue that some of us do experience.

Bro... the C7 can only play up to 720P videos. If you have anything much higher than that, you have to convert it to 720P or less. I use the Freemake Video Converter .... available free online. Make sure to reduce the Bit-Rate of the video too.... about 3000K or less should do. & also reduce the audio bit-rate if it is too high.

It supports the files bro... just check the size of the movie... make sure it is 720P or lower ... it cannot play 1080P videos. I guess your movie file exceeds that limit. 720P is also great quality which shows up great even on a PC or TV. Why dont you try FreeMake Video converter to convert the movies to the desired size and format. I love this software available free online.

If you want a call image for only one contact, go to the image from gallery. Open the image. Open options for the image. Select use image and choose ASSIGN TO CONTACT. You can decide to crop a part or all of the picture. Select Okay. Now your contacts list would be opened for you to choose the contact or contacts you want to have the selected image. I hope this would be of help.

It may not be the Hot current OS... but it definitely has many advantages of it's own. and yes, it is definitely a very stable OS and gentle on the battery and comes with true file management capabilities. I guess every OS will have their positive and negetive points.

this is the best phone ever. I used an iphone, a galaxy s2 and a windows phone htc hd2 but this is the best in my hands. I recommend it and i search one. Friends,I'm a C7 user,I've used a lot of phones including those that run android os..but, there is none comparable to nokia phones when it comes to storing messages. I always do some reporting on our competitors withdrawals on the a daily basis on different captions. Nokia is the only capable phone that can do personal folders for messages sent. Just check it if you have doubts..I'm willing to bet my phone if I am wrong with this.

Have owned C7 for nine months now and it is a very good phone, no problems so far and can change battery in a minute,bought spare battery, down loaded blue space pro theme[ free] looks good, and plenty of new widgets,and enough apps for my needs it came with Symbian ^3 installed not very good experiance, Nokia Belle refresh has changed the phone and will keep using it as I like Symbian, and Nokia build quality.

Its horrible, i am a user of Nokia c7 and i feel cheated by Nokia, after i purchased it it worked perfectly only for one month, after that it started giving many problems like, Hanging, auto restart, connecting to WIFI was so difficult that it use to disconnect every 2nd minute. it became worst and worst after every update, now my phone is runing Symbian Belly and guess what, it restarts automatically 2 - 3 times in a day.... oooohhh... i promise i will never purchase NOKIA phones in my life

I think it can be done... I heard somebody has done it... my friend is an IT professional and he was asking me if I wanted to do the same... I rejected the idea. Symbian is good enough for me... plus I have the Galaxy S Duos to play around with Android apps ... it's just not as capable as Symbian in many of the key features.

Sometimes you have to question the direction technology is going. My 2 year old C7 runs symbian,has Penta Band 3G,does 3G Video calls,has NFC, has a full fledged file manager, DLNA, USB On-the-go and SD TV out. My year old Android (HTC EVO 3D) runs ICS, has quad band 3G, no 3G video calling,no NFC, no USB on-the-go feature(only a few androids support this), has an MHL TV out (for which I need a special cable and additional power supply) but thankfully still has DLNA. My new Lumia WP8 phone runs the latest version of WP8, has LTE and 3G, no 3G video calling, no DLNA yet (no idea when it will come), No MHL/TV output and no USB on the go functionality.Oh yeah,they say it has NFC. Progress indeed, when you consider my 2 year old C7 now runs software that is officially "dead".

I used the Samsung Galaxy S Duos and now I am quite satisfied with my C7. The device has 1 Ghz processor and about 760 MB RAM, but cant play 480p videos, while C7 can play 720P videos off a pen drive... cool. Galaxy S cant play HD games, flv, mkv etc. ... just a few of the advantages of C7.

A good compact phone.Display is good.Camera is good.The sound quality is great with FM or music.Browsing is very fast with 3.5G even at nights.Belle is user friendly with an easy to use interface.Battery is quite decent with an average of two days.If you are planning a trip to Glastonbury where there are no plugs we'd pack the c7.There are a plethora of connectivity options.Some high end phones don't even have NFC.The c7 has it.Gaming is good with Need For Speed Shift.An overall decent phone with specifications that can match today's standards.

GadgetLover bro... Androids have certainly taken over the world. They are fast and demanding specially on the hardware. I think some of the phones are massive and carrying around will really be cumbersome. I like my things simpler... with a better build quality and able to do most of the things ... So I guess I will stick around with my good ol' C7 for some more time. I just got a Samsung Galaxy S Duos as a gift and have yet to use it. Initially though, I found it harder to use than Symbian... maybe I will get used to it after a while. I have always been curious as to why Android has bee so popular ... Hi Ashman!! Good to see you going strong here, and good to hear your adventures with the C7. I still use mine, I got a Lumia 820 recently..back to Nokia!! Its good but more like iOS, has some file restrictions which you wont like going from symbian or android. Its a good phone but not upto android yet..not in apps or user experience..lets see if it can save Nokia!! Right now I'm using my C7 for calls, Android for browsing and Lumia 820 for both when I dont have the other two!! Working well. Keep up the good work..Cheers!!

Hey Guys!!!, has anybody been facing problems with the Swype pen input on their Symbian phone? I have heard it is a common problem now with Symbian and Nokia is trying to find a solution for it. The problem occured about 5 days ago and I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the app about 3 times already. Still does not work. Very strange indeed.

I got my C7 1,5 years ago and it's still working fine! I've installed about hundred apps, dropped it many times from different heights but it only has a little scratch on one side. It can play almost any type of media file, including FLAC audio (I got it working with folder play) and most videos I have. The battery is still in good condition. It was definitely a good buy!

Buddy, I have a C7 and it runs just fine without any issues.... My friend has an E6 and is very satisfied with the phone. I am sure you have something that is corrupting the phones and causing it to restart. It might be a good idea to do a factory reset, format the Mass memory drive, update the firmware and enjoy the phones.

Hi Ashman. Once again I appreciate the reply. It doesn't matter if the email widgets are on or off the phone still slows down. I have written to Nokia Care about this and whilst speaking on a live chat to one of their agents it was revealed that they are aware of problems with Belle Refresh and thus that is the reason why the roll out is taking a very long time. I was told that the problems with Belle Refresh are being addressed. I unfortunately cannot go on with this issue all the time so I have decided in the meantime to try a Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus as a secondary phone. Do you think it will be an ok choice temporarily?

i did some research & deside 2 get a Samsung Galaxy S II 4 the following reasons: - usb on the go - games - DivX/XviD i don't own a computer that why its easy 4 me 2 get music/movies on a memory stick & on 2 my fone via usb on the go. Hi Ashman. I have how hard reset my Nokia C7, 4 times since I updated to Belle Refresh, completely from scratch. I am facing major problems. The slow downs are so bad that until Nokia can fix these issues I am going to have to buy another phone. When a person calls whilst it is stuck in the email receiving mode, I can't answer and the phone becomes completely unresponsive. Basically Nokia is losing credibility as both my friends and family have witnessed these issues with my phone.

Well, after I had to do a complete reinstall of the OS, my phone performs better now in all departments and has become quite speedy. It happened accidently when it froze while I was trying to upgrade the firmware via Phoenix... and I had to try desperate measures to save the phone from death.

Guys!!! I almost had a heart-attack today... I was trying to change the firmware to a Euro model and was in the process... when suddenly there was a problem and the update would not proceed. I had to restart and also restart the phone.... But the phone would not restart. Navifirm... Phoenix and all that was there. Tried and tried and tried .... success came late in the day when I was really tired and had almost given up... and I had to resort to the same old firmware. Belle ofcourse - HK varient model at the moment. I guess I learned a lot today,... also learnt not to fool around too much.

My phone is working good... no problems so far... Just that it is a HongKong model and a few things like the FM Transmitter is not activated. I guess I should try to hack the phone to use a different (maybe Australian) firmware... that should free-up the apps and allow me to fully upgrade to Belle Refresh. Well I have most of the Belle Refresh apps, but that little restriction has not allowed me to fully upgrade to Belle Refresh. Advise me guys... should I go ahead??? I have used the phone from May 2011 - 2 Nov 2012(Today). One problem developed in the phone - Its 3G network stopped showing and ppl calling me could not connect 5 times out of 10 attempts and I wasnt able to make calls from it 3-4 times out of 10 attempts. I showed the phone to Nokia Care (Hyderabad, India) They asked me to pay 5500 INR which is 35% of the cost of mobile to cure the problem. I will be stoppoing using the phone NOW as some cool andriod phones with similar specs are available in half the cost of this mobile now. The good features of the phone - 8 gb internal memory, Great Video quality, GPS, Picture quality was OK from the 8 MP camera. The Flash could be used as a torch (was very handy at times). But, whats the use of all these features now? Poor and costly service, uncertainity of curing the problem, 1.5 year old and in a big problem!!

Munti bro... If you really want to go for C7, it's your choice... look at the specs sheet for most of the details. There are other phones around the same price range. Advantage: Great build quality in glass and steel... sleek and stylish. 8GB internal storage expandable by SD card and also supports USB on the go. It has NFC and most of the stuff you need everyday....... EXCEPT .... Disadvantage: Faster CPU (Dual core, quad core). RAM only 256MB. My Experience: I have never really run out of RAM and the phone functions well. Gaming, Photography, Maps, Office Doc support etc etc... all are good. Would I recommend? If you are not into comparing the CPU clock speed and amount of RAM with friends.... this is a good phone to have. I still enjoy mine. Cheers!!! If you are a Nokia Fan, You might consider Nokia 701... same design as C7 but comes with bigger CPU and more RAM and can be upgraded to Belle FP2.

There is the flashing light function in C7.... for missed calls and messages.... not for facebook or other stuffs. Go to Settings ... Phone ... Notification lights ... Standby breathing light (turn it on) Access the Notification light to customize the timer and events to be notified about. Simple but useful app. Cheers!!!

Speaking of that, ... well, phones are no longer just phones these days... they are EVERYTHNG and are progressing at a menacing pace and looking forward to killing even the pro digital camera and the PC. (they have killed many devices before). There is already a very thin line between a proper tablet and some of those extra large phones. What they have been doing is... mesmerizing us with these added stuffs... keeping us hooked and yes ultimately emptying our pockets. Celio C7, you will not lose any data while updating firmware. Anyway if you use a PC and Nokia Suite, you can take a backup of everything on your mobile device and proceed ... just to be sure. I have never lost any data while upgrading firmware.

I have an HTC EVO 3D, not Xperia, upgraded it to ICS and its doing well,not sure if it will get JB. use it mainly for internet browsing, social networking, Email and News cos it does all this much better than the C7. I use the C7 for calls, navigation sometimes and music and videos since its battery is longer lasting than the EVO. The new crop of WP8 phones is exciting, will compare them when they're out..I nearly bought a Lumia 800 cos its so cheap now!! But I held on since it will only be WP 7.8 at max. Good to see you active here, are you considering any new phones? By next year I reckon Android and WP8 will be the ones to beat.Cheers!!

Yes, you can switch on to C7 if you are not after tons of apps. I am using C7 for the past 2 years and quite happy with it. After updating to belle refresh it became even better! But i suggest you go for Nokia 701 (Its the successor of C7)

Hacked here means... you get to install apps and it will not show "Certificate Error" problems. you will get to install all apps designed for Symbian^3 phones. There are a couple of hacking apps like I mentioned.

@ Doctor Bidhan, well, I tried your code and it goes to the same location ... my process is the same, just a bit longer going through the file menu system. Anyway, I did not have success yet... so got to wait maybe upto a week or two. So how is Refresh!?! what are the differences and is it worth the upgrade? although I have seen a video demo, a first hand experience is always better.

Well, now that you have Dukto for your mobile, you also need Dukto for your PC (or laptop). Download the latest version. You need WiFi connection. You can give each device specific names which will make it easier to recognize and share. Turn on the WiFi and Dukto in all the devices. In the Dukto window you will see the other devices. Now you can proceed to share your files, folders, music, movies, photos etc. Speed is phenomenal. I guess it will be even faster with WiFi N at around 300 Mbps.

Each time i switch on my phone, after start up, a lock screen comes up asking for the phone code. If i key in Any number it will open the phone i.e unlock it But will tell me "code error" with a warning that my phone will be blocked on 5th trial. Some time it will even threaten to lock in 5minutes after putting in Any code. Pls Nokia fans. Has Anyone noticed this since treating to Symbian BELLE? And Whats the remedy or code i can use. Overall a good phone... videography has become better with Belle update. Video playback is nice, Gaming is good too. Good Connectivity. NFC is quietly there in C7 even though other companies are making noise about NFC only this year (indicates how futuristic Nokia has been). USB OTG is an excellent feature. Microsoft Office support is on the spot. Vlingo is a pleasure to use and quite effective. The sturdy build quality... combined with metal and glass body design is a pleasure to watch. Overall a good package... no regrets in buying.

C7 is among the best touch phone in the market. Durable touch screen, battery life is average. I just noticed that the dual speakers does not sound dual.. games somewhat average. graphics is good specially in recording HD videos. themes are not that impressive. Nokia Belle would have been better if this will create new interface in the menu..

It's a good phone really... with good features and durability. The battery is not the best, but not as poor as many of the Droids. You can consider this phone and chances are you will be more than satisfied with it... or you can go for more powerful ones like Nokia 701.

Not really, the 701 has a faster processor which will go even faster with the Belle FP2 update, both of which the C7 doesn't have. The C7 has a better screen though,and many other specs between the two are equal but on most other counts the 701 wins.

I feel the best widget is Galary image viewer. It is really cool. You can select the images which you want to display in that and it displayes images in various size you can click to resize the image. If you select multiple images more than the displayed one then the images change once you flip from one home screen to the widget screen.

You do not need a message. Just connect to PC and if the update is available in your region (which is mosly available) then it will ask you for the update. It will also ask you for the back up. Make sure you take the full back up and then it will show you warning about some apps will not work with new update or you will lose some apps. I didn't experience any lose of app for the apps which I have installed in my C7 but there could be few which may

This phone was in market almost 2 years back. You are posting the status for now or two years back when this phone was at the top? Now a days any technology or electronic product becomes out-dated almost in a month. Never the less I am using this phone for almost 2 years now and I am still happy. Just upgraded to new updates and phone is working still as new. Look at the price point of the phone and compare it with the same price point I think this phone would still stand out first.

Check if any app which requires data/internet connection is running in background. If it is running then try and close the app. This should solve your problem. Also, re-install the update this should solve the problem with browsing.

Updated C7 with the latest update using PC. The OS seems to be tweaked so as to work leniently. Update contains short cuts like: Profile changers, Wi-Fi on off, Blue tooth On off etc. Widgets contains: Calendar to do task and add to do, Media player with second widget smaller than the previous one, various additional clocks (Analog, digital)

There is only one Nokia C7, technically denoted as C7.00. I think you are confused here. Philips has a C700 phone which is incomparable to the Nokia C7. Go for the Nokia C7 or better still go for Nokia 701.

Well adul, we did not expect a full upgrade... the OS is nice to use without the updage, but it will be good to get improved performances and positive little improvements in many of the apps. As far as the CPU clock speed is concerned, it might be a little disappointing, but can also be viewed in a positive way, ... increasing clock-speed only consumes more power and thus draining the battery quicker. Nothing totally wrong with the clock-speed .... maybe just a bit bad for the ego.
