Okay ive had this phone for three weeks and i loved it then my stupid friend ran off with it while sliding it up and down and up and down then dropped it really hard now the screens broken and i cant see anything im doing, but people can still call me and i can still call them. I was wondering i have a 90 day warranty because its a refurbished phone will this cover in the warranty?

Yah most of the slide up phones has same problem. Hard time when accessing the memory card in it. Much better use the phone with the phone memory itself. Usually if the memory card has a lot of songs or movies in it. There will be tendency that the phone can't read it.

I have used this phone for a whole year now and has sent it for repair of 4 times. On my last visit to their repair centre, i raised my displeasure about the problems you all mentioned: firmware problems, hanging, auto shutdown. Basically i threatened to take it up to the top if they did not give me something better, and they fixed ALL the problems. so technically, if you still have your phone warranty, you should demand for a proper re-service since you all paid good money for it.

I just purshased this phone a few months ago and I am definitely not satisfied with it, although it costed me well over $300! the camera isnt so good, there is no flash, and most important of all...the phone shutts off all of a sudden especially when I make a call or if someone calls me. I guess I have to change the battery already and it is very difficult to find one for this model in the US. Definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Please, if anyone knows where I can buy a new battery online or anywhere, tell me, thanks!

the vibrate-ring, vibrate or ring only option is the same for most of the samsung phones. personally i find that the phone is stylish and user friendly other then the fact that the volume of the ringtone is not that audible.

I am using Samsung SGH D-510 mobile phone for 6 months. From 1 month ago, I am facing some problems with my phone. 1. It restarts automatically 20 to 30 times within 2 to 3 hours, after charging. This condition is seen, either charging is done in running (on) mode or in shutdown (off) mode. 2. After fully charged, it becomes hung (not working) anytime, if I make/receive a phone call or operate it within 2 to 3 hours. 3. If charging is done in running (on) mode, then "Restart" also starts after some time. 4.Takes long time (3 to 4 hours) to charge. Where I can get the solution?

my phone does not have a melody and vibrate setting... it has a vibrate then melody or a melody or a vibrate.... seems like it doesn't make much sense for it not to have it...

I have had this phone for about a week now and will say that call quality is excellent, and thats in my opinion the most important feature of any phone. My previous phone was a motorola and i hated it because all the extra features that were packed in made it a very poor phone. there is the issue that the phone crashes and needs to reset itself, it has not caused me too much grief and like i said earlier just because its a good phone im willing to live with that. One question i do have to anyone out there who may have this phone.... is there any way to make it ring and vibrate at the same time? i realize how stupid that sounds but i cant seem to figure out how to do it, or if i can even do it

I am having similar problems with the phone constantly shutting off and restarting. i called samsung and since it is not a US provider, they do not support this and will not replace the phones. Does anyone know what to do? fyi - to turn off the vibrate go to settings. sound settings. quiet mode. and select "mute". If anyone can give any advice on the phone turning off and what we can do to replace the phone, please email me. Thanks!

I had this phone since last June and so far this phone has been a real satisfactory!!I would recommend this phone to anybody, great qlty and loud speaker, bright LCD, sharp camera, expandable memory, and great price!! It's my best buy phone so far... Samsung now releases many new slim models, but they are all very expensive only because it's slim model and without high specification, really not worth to buy! My Korean friend just bought samsung D808 and he's disappointed with his new phone, he oftenly miss a call because the ringtone is almost impossible to hear even in a not too crowded place, camera is definitely worst than mine, no memory card slot, and much higher price than mine. really not worth it! Overall, samsung D510 rocks!!! ^_____^

"yes. you've to put the mp3 songs into phone. and then just select it.". the next question "i don't have cable to connect it to PC" "so you can use card reader and your micro sd to connect it"

Hey,i just got myself a d510 and i think its really value for money. I've been using alot of phones most of them in $1000 category (Singapore), and i've come to realise that no matter how many features you pack into a handphone, its still a phone. I think that samsung did good with this series. A very practical phone. 1.3megapixel camera is good enough for candid shots, expansion up to 1gig, sound is good. Phone is easy to use.best of all it looks professional. While candy bar phones are cool and hip, nothing beat a professional looking phone in the working world.

Guys I think this phone is ok, but it pales in comparison to the d600. It has the correct first name samsung. I love teh samsung brand, have had 3 samsung fones d500, d510, and now the d600. I'd recommend that u spring to get the d600 instead, its totally worth it.

Ive got this phone for 3 weeks. So far so good. The size just nice for me. It looks elegance. The screen image is sharp. Sounds from the dual speaker is loud. MP3 musik from the stereo headphone is fantastic. Its easy to use. I'm quite happy with this phone. The negative sides of this phone: 1. Internal memory only 30mb. which is rather not enough if one have got a long MP3 playlist to copy to the phone. 2. The battery life seems rather short. Need to charge it almost every night. It normally last for 1.5 day for one full charge. 3. There is a lag of about 2 sec. for the shuttle to react when taking photos.

To the person who has the problem with connecting their phone to the pc. You have to open up your "my computer" and click on the folder that is provided for it. Open it and all you need to do is drag your files over.

I've got this phone for around 3-4months and i absolutely love it! I like the design and the keypads are rather easy to press. The picture quality is much better than d500 though. The only thing i dont like about the camera is that it takes like 1-3 seconds before the picture is taken. overall, it's a great phone!

This phone is ok. But it was a big let down in comparison to the d500. The one I had \, had no flash, no infrared and the loud speaker on teh d500 is not compatible with this phone. I think it is an ok phone, but having had both phones. I'd say buy the d500, it is far better. PS- I resold teh phone within a day of buying it. Think im going to step up to teh d600 or the d800

This phone is excellent. I got it about a week ago and I am ver pleased with its performance. The speaker output is quite clear and loud. The only problem I have is the fact that I am not able to transfer music in the format of AAC or Mp4 from itunes to the phone. I guess I am doing something wrong. Overall, EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i just got this phone today n did some thorough testing. all the features mentioned by the samsung website works perfectly, build quality is also very good. however most ppl who buy new phones over look the main function that is CALLING. the voice quality on this phone is very back, all recieved calls sounded muffled n distorted, even worse than my nokia 1110 which i was using prior to this phone. the position of the camera lense could be beter as well.

Samsung D510 is solving a serious issue of D500 which is the T-Flash MMC card. Why bother to buy the old D500? You can buy the less spec but SMALLER E880 or the D510 which is similar to D500 with T-Flash. Unless you want to go all the way to D600 by spending the extra $$.

the phone that you saw on adult swim was the e635 which is on the t-mobile website. it's a US/T-mobile derivative of the e630. probably an e630 with t-mobile branded firmware (which the 5 at the end signifies T-mobile). the e630 phone has been out for a while now. it has some sort of plastic slide mechanism, unlike the D500. after a while, the mechanism degrades and does not slide as smooth. the price for the e635 on t-mo site is 149.99, you're better off with the razr right next to it for $199.99. not a fan of the razr but it's better than the e635. i'd get the razr, sell it and then get me a D500. hahahahahaha...

stunning mobile phone, it has standard 512mb, however you can upgrade the memory slot which can be up to 1gb. this phone has got infra-red and bluetooth, why do ppl keep on asking if it has infra-red or bluetooth and memory card, it has it and for the stupid ones who still don't understand go to the spec which i will explain which describes in detial, i repeat detail spec of the d510. stylish phone, has the looks and features, much better than the d500 i repeat much better than the d500.

Anyone else getting fed up of people asking wheather phones have bluetooth or stereo or what not when all the features are listed for all the phones on this website? This phone will be a hit since it builds on the D500 by adding interchangable memory however most people already have MP3 players these days so that extra memory may not be needed. Sasung should have just added Symbian OS with a HTML browser so we can all surf the net on the toilet or in bed.

Reply to Tony R from the looks of it.. they are almost identical. However, whats beneath the cover is where the differences are. First: the 510 has a memory expansion slot. second: I believe the 510 doent need the attached speaker/mic third: unoticeably, the 510 is slighty larger (VERY neglegeble) making it 1gram extra to the 500. forth: 510 has daul speakers.. 500 doesnt fifth: its mentioned that the 500 has a photo call where the 510 doesnt! this is how much i could guess.

I find it interesting that the ratings for design are 6.9 for the D510 and 8.4 for the D500. The design is the same. Features are also rated 6.9 and 8.3 for the D500. Performance is listed at 7.3 and 8.3 for D500. This was suppose to be an improvement over the D500; what happened?
