Nokia E60 - User Reviews

 • Hey bro, how did you hack it? Can you share?

 • Anyone able to hack Nokia E60? Can anybody share the method? I tried with Binpda Secman App and norton mobile hack, but failed. Installserver.exe is not available for E60. Anyone please share the details.

 • What is this disgrace (for the E-series of phones) I am looking at?!

 • Try OldApps.com - they have old versions of Nokia PC Suite

 • from where can i have its 'pc suite' ? please guide.

 • still using it for past 1 year only app instal problem

 • First of all, you need to configure wifi router to broadcast a 802.11i/e/g standard rate that Nokia E60 supports, try disabling the 802.11n mode completely by selecting a 802.11b/g mode (if available) or 802.11g. Then, ensure that your router is not set to operate in 20/40MHz mode (set it to 20MHz only). You should probably also check that you're running latest firmware version on your wireless router.

 • My phone is just fine but i need to update the software.how can i get?

I have just problem with not properly working keypad. time ti time some of the keys are not working. Probably it is because I am using it mainly in outdoor profile? Can somebody advise with that problem?

 • I am having issues with my E60. After 15-20 calls my phone does not let me dial any numbers. I don't know why this is happening. Maybe it's a memory issue. i have 1200 contacts. Is the phone getting slow because of the excessive memory they are using? I also use call waiting. Is is because of that? My dialing gets withheld. I have tried everything. I also got new software. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

 • me too why no themes for this mobile

 • You can go for E70. It has everything E60 has, and in addition to those it has a 2 megapixel camera and a flip-QWERTY keyboard.

 • The Greatest Phone Ever made by NOKIA

 • Khurram you can download verry good app from - not all app work but you can find sam four your pfone. I am verry proud about this phone - I have no problem with it

 • The joystick got loose after 22 months of heavy usage. Tough phone!

 • The music/ sound quality is good, provided that you use a decent headset. However, please note that the sales package does not contain any stereo headset but a mono one; and to connect a regular 3.5mm headset you need to purchase separately a Pop-port to 3.5mm converter, as E60 does not have any 3.5mm audio output jack.

 • how is its music qulity in head phone plz tell me

 • ada yn\g mau jual sy lagi nyari hub 0878 8188 8389 0813 8910 1500

 • Please tell me someone from where i can download the themes for nokia e 60. I tried ownskin.com, zedge.com, mobile9.com, etc but respond not supported. Please help me. Thanks

 • Go to Menu => Connect. => Bluetooth; then press "Off" to turn it "On". If that fails then there is something wrong with your phone. Take it to Nokia Care. Also, there is no manual way to turn Infrared off. It turns off automatically after a few seconds of being idle. Hope that helped. Take care.

 • Am unable to put my blue tooth on and there is no option of putting the infra-red off.How do i go about it.Thanks.

 • The only usefull and ergonomic smartphone from E-series. I think smartphone must not look like a Concept showcar! Because it is not an accessory, it is a tool. Status symbol phones may...

 • Throw it away if it's stuck on online mode ok haaaaaa!

 • Have been using E60 for a year now, and want to add one more to the opinions already posted here. I haven't been using all of the connectivity options, but the web browser (along with the joystick and screen used) is great and easy to use. Given the screen, the phone doesn't look that big, not in the same category as the old communicators (which we still have in our family). Still, I have had some problems: the buttons have got temporarily jammed several times and it's good to shut the phone (like any other phone probably) down every now and then, since I once missed several days' messages and phone calls without any signal of malfunctioning during the time - only when all the stuff came in a bunch after rising doubt prompted me to reset the phone. A generally very well functioning solid phone with a great screen and browser, at not a bad price.

 • janney. i know the solution of your phone. ur phone stuck in off line mode. if u change ur profile from offline mode to general, after some minute u would see the error of "unable to change profile(some like this)" or when u onn the phone and want to run in gsim mode but when phone fully opened u would see its in offline mode. my english is not good. my phone have same problem but now its solved. i have solution for this ofline mode problem. • My E60 is stuck on off-line mode. Can someone help on how to get it back working again? Please ...

 • The wifi voip works ok, you might have to upgrade the firmware. but the quality is good. but keep in mind it will drain your battery.

 • I had purchased my E60 during March 2007 from Bangladesh. I have 45 MB of RAM, and a 206 MHz processor in my unit. Can anybody tell me whether the specification has been changed by the year, or the specification stated here is incorrect? Regards.

 • riniel, please email to me all your applications that you've mentioned. i'm going to purchase an e60. thanks. [email protected]

 • Hi all, I am thinking of buying a E60.Has enyone used it to make VoIP calls, using home WIFI router witha VoIP provider account? Does it work and what is the quality of calls? Thanks.

 • Only problem 2GB MC sometime support and sometime not. I don't know why Nokia is not working on its new firmware version to solve some issues. It is also not available on www.nokiaforbusiness.com. What is the reason? Although Nokia E60 is a very good phone.

 • No firmware version after 2006! why?

 • This is the best phone I have ever had in terms of quality and durability. It has more than a year of use and no problems at all. I have let accidentally fall many times and still works well. I installed a 2gb mmc last month and it's working really well. Joystick works just well. If it just had a camera would be the perfect phone...

 • Recently I purchased a Nokia e60. I have 512 mb card and I transfered some music file s to the card after formarting the same. It is working fine and no problem. But after this exercise I transfered some video clips and these clips are in mpg4 forms. This files are not opening through real player. I tried to play some music files through this real player but same statusco and the system is saying file contains no data. Is it any problem with my real player and how to solve this issue. Kindly guide me,

 • This is by far the best phone on the market. I have been using it for more than one year. Its travelled with me to the freezing Artic and the hot, humid Central America.Never had a problem.Unbelievable quality. Kudos to Nokia.

 • hi no doubt its the perfect mobile set i luv to use it. but i have one prob or i dnt know that can v lock any folder in it.. please let me know if some one knows baout it ... best wishes to all tc's.....

 • e60 is the best mobile in the world, especially there is no camera..

 • It's a great phone. No problems at all for 4 months with updated software (3.0.6xx) works faster and the batery last longer. It's made in Finland and bought in Romania for near 300euros. It doesn't have vid. cam or photo but I realy don't care. It's a serious reliable phone not a playstation. Far the best phone I had till now after Er.R320, 7710,6310i. Pay atenttion not to interrupt the software update process otherwise all what u get is just a nice trifle.

 • Hi guyz i have Nokia E60 and i was trying to update the phone software but budluck it fail on the last step the message pop up phone fail to restart, Now the phone doesent work if i switch on it starts and the Nokia logo desplays as usual but it doesent continuer from there and displays SOFTWARE ERRO can someone help me what to do. I need your help guyz letme know on fredmpili at gmail dot com

 • My nokia e60 freezes with 2GB mcc?!?

 • Currently I've got a 1gb installed, So far no proble... I hear some claim can support up to 2gb...

 • hey..up to how big is the memory card for this fone?? 1 gig? or how high? please answer... its quite important for me to know

 • Did anyone know that can use A2DP bluetooth headset or not?

 • Hi negru, T I got problems with my Nokia e60.. since I bought the card (sandisk 2 GB), sometimes a message says "remove memory card and press 'ok'" poped up and it disabled the memory card (while it is still being inserted actually).. so I have to take out the card and put it back in.. I didnt do anything, and this happen randomly and I cant replicate it.. :( anyone experiencing the same problem..? This is not defect, I had this promlem too... it turn out the problem was my pouch! which has a magnetic latch which interfears with the phone cover... so sometimes when you remove and insert the phone in ur pouch it senses that the MMC slot cover is being opened and pops this message... Were you using a magnetic pouch?? :)

 • To save the others out there this phone is not worth it. 1 is slow especially opening messages. My service provider sends messages when i have voice mail, i dont even bother deleteing them any more cuz it takes to long, you literally wait for 1 message to open. 2. It has features that dont work as expected. Eg. Wifi infrastructure mode works of but Wifi adhoc causes it to reboot , (does it on mine and someone elses). battery dont last lon enough. Setting up access points takes time and is confusing. all it does well is i phone, but yet again it needs to go in for repairs cus the speaker is broken. Jsut skip this phone its problematic.

 • Even my E60 has got stuck in offline mode and cannot be changed to general mode. Has anybody got a solution to it. I have tried the hard reset & the soft reset. Tried to upgrade the software but to do that the phone needs to be in the general mode and not in the offline mode. Please help...

 • Yep, Excell and Word.. you can also get quick office with some more features for doc ans xls files. You can also edit somewhat your office files and create new ones. A bit clumsy with the keypad provided though, so get e61 or e70 for word and excel if that's important for u.

 • hi people, could anyone tell me if this phone have excell and word?

 • although im a music person the e60 realy impressed me with some of the features, took a while to get used the os version but understand why all the fuss about security with all the viruses today, amazing display, good sound quality, awsome web browser only problem is it realy digs into the ram making it crash after a good browsing session. Have trouble playing games as the key pads dont work..no idea why tho. the ram is standard with all os9 phones,20mb of user ram which is basicaly enough. Just realised that it lacks some features my lame 5200 even had like auto keylock. Apps you have to have is opera, handy task man, dvget, coreplayer, best keylocker, divx player, xplore and symella...those apps will realy bring out the best out of your e60. Email me with any questions i will gladly help.

 • can it really support 4gb ? or just 2gb card maximum?

 • My phone status Offline mode. I can not change From offline profile to any other Profile( Like general, Pager). How can I do that ? could you please ?

 • I got problems with my Nokia e60.. since I bought the card (sandisk 2 GB), sometimes a message says "remove memory card and press 'ok'" poped up and it disabled the memory card (while it is still being inserted actually).. so I have to take out the card and put it back in.. I didnt do anything, and this happen randomly and I cant replicate it.. :( anyone experiencing the same problem..? Thanks.

 • How to save a picture or photos when we received one from email? I mean to save jpg directly to phone's memory. Unlike when we browsing on pc, there's always an option when we right-click the mouse button. Here in my e 60, i dont find any of that kind options to 'save picture as..' or 'save as' please help. Any input appreciated

 • how to hard reset (format) the device? i know how to restore factory setting, what i need to know IS HOW to hard reset it. thanks in advance

 • I just tried to Nokia maps (there is same package for all E series except updated one for E90) and works great. I was impressed by details I could find about Croatia - something I was missing before in tomtom. As always, you will be limited by your card...

 • Dear Friends I had this for about ten months, when I tried to update its softwars it ended dead, Just a Piece of junke. I took it to the authorised dealer for repair but they didn't know how to get it back to life again. So Please I need advice from those who faced the same problem before and managed to overcome it. Regards

 • thats a good model

 • In comparison with 6630, I recommend E60 because of its design, WLAN, VOIP, VPN, SIP features, more call records (30 days), clear display and much more. Price of E60 is just 18$ higher in my country. If camera facility doesn't matter to you then go for this. Get them compare by specifications, you will find the difference.

 • in factory settings, no opera is installed, but you can download it. I am using opera. www.xxxpda.org ---> go to syambian OS9.1 applications.

 • I tested many application on my Nokia E60 and I wish to share you all of you like Phone Guard, Call Manager, Voice Recorder. Email: [email protected]

 • I currently have a Nokia 9300, for business purposes, but I really don't use all the features (my laptop is used for e-mails, faxes, internet, etc). I'm considering a new Nokia, but I'm not sure whether I should be going for the Nokia E60 or Nokia 6300? Any comments or advice would be appreciated. I dont really care whether the cell has or doesn't have a camera, radio, etc. I don't ever use them (my car has a great radio and I own a digital video/still camera anyway, so it really doesn't matter). These two cells, other than the camera and radio, appear very similar, or am I wrong?

 • Does this phone have opera browser

 • i want to know if i can make edit in office application or not ?

 • I downloaded many useful application from forums and i would to like to visit users also. Download following applications: 1.Ultimate IVR Recany order: For advance recording option with out beep. 2.Call Manager: Many feature like whitelist, blacklist directory, reject call and send auto specific response. 3. Phone Guard: It will send MSISDN, IMSI, LAC and CID to your pre-defined number if someone trys to use your set by changing SIM. 4. Safe: 18bit encryption to store all of your identification in forums. 5. call logexport, powerboot [startup application settings], compass, safetxt, dictionaries and many other useful applications. If you need any application mail me on [email protected]

 • best phone I've ever had. It has a great screen with beautifull colors. Good features. Wifi rocks. And the fact that it is a Symbian S60v3 makes it formidable in terms of aplications. Games look superb. Excelent phone if you don't care about not having a camera. thumbs UP!!

 • Great Smartphone!! Many functions, very usefull, nice audio, excellent diplay!!!

 • woooooooooo a great phone in nokia

 • bhajan loves this hp n she said tat it is vy cool

 • Great phone, elegant looks and very functional

 • Nice phone! :-) but I'm not a bussines man :-(

 • What is the software version you have on the phone? If it is under warranty, why don't you replace the phone? -Hashmat

 • Well, i hate this phone now, it has been send back for repair for the 5 th time. the only problem i have is that the phone reboots constantly if i call someone i have a 20% chance that the phone reboots, and ends the call, you have to wait for about 45 sec and the phone is ready to be ussed..... last time they promised a new one, but instead they said al the software is new, and new components. so last wendsday i recieved my "repaired" e60 and friday they picked it up again to be repaired, or to be shredded i hope! i do not see this complane so i recieved a bat one, but they should fix it once and for all. i have phone 4 months, and been in repair for 3 months...... Jan

 • gps map..please

 • Tapa Boy, Up to my knowledge there's no any other mask "cover" for this phone! Sorry

 • Is it possible to change the mask on this phone?

 • @ Pawan If you buy phones based on what people say here (some 80% are just fooling around) then you better stay away from phones. @ Vick My joystick works fine and I never heard about that problem... but if it failed twice for you then I suspect failure is just consequence of something else rather...

 • Hi, Got this phone sometime in Sep last year, Great phone, unbeatable display and so on...but only have one problen with this phone...the joystick, got it repaired twice ready...

 • Guys please lemme know in few words...whether this fone is really worth buying??? thats all i need to know...

 • K! What do you think a VGA camera could do for you in a business phone like E60? This phone is designed for businessmen who don't want extra, useless things lile VGA camera in their mobile phones!

 • this phone doesnt needs the camera. if you want a phone with camera, then you should buy N73. E60 have WiFi(very useful), office, symbian, you can connect gps reciever, one of the best displays on the market and its made of quality materials. its more then enough. i wish it have an FM radio but anyway, im very satisfied.

 • You know what do this phone need ? a Camera , i cant imagine how doesnt it have at least a VGA camera or 1.3 MP camera !! , cant they add one :P ?

 • You should ask Nokia about advice. If your device is covered by insurance which you usually get when you buy new device Nokia should fix it - it doesn't matter if they have it for that market or not.

 • my new E60 screen cracked when I sat on it.I bought it in duty free in doha but now I am in the philippines I am unable to have it fixed because they do not distribute the model here...so what do I do now? thanks

 • Used lots of phones before. Best one so far. No more comments.

 • @ jar My battery lasts up to 5 days max with minimum usage (few texts and waking up plus WiFi updates of few applications every second day). In general you should expect battery to serve you for 2 days of "business" usage. However if you are going to use GPS (like I do) be prepared to charge it on daily basis too (I still use 6330i and battery lasts for 7 days after 4 years which makes this phone best I ever had). I guess if you need E series phone with good battery life E90 should be the one, but you better first check reviews once phone is out. Currently when it comes to competition HTC S710 looks good, but forthcoming S730 looks even better. Overall, I'm pleased with E60 even I wish it had battery with better capacity.

 • hello every1, i didn't see any post about the batt life, could you tell me how does it last? thks a lot.

 • Nokias E-Series phones have a few codes you can key in to access various hidden features: *#06# - Show the serial number (IMEI) *#0000# - Show the software version *#7370# - Factory reset (the default lock code is 12345) *#62209526# - Show the WLAN MAC address *#2820# - Show the bluetooth address Also, if the phone wont boot and hangs on the startup screen (white background, blue Nokia logo), you can initiate a factory reset by holding *, 3 and the green button. Some or all of these seem to work for other S60 devices too, eg: N80. This entry was posted on Thursday, October 26th, 2006 at 10:15 am and is filed under

 • Can somebody please let me know whether you can play these files on E60? The file is located on: and Because some of the phones couldn't play this.

 • Is it possible, if yes how. GPRS is switched on on my cell and I need to use WIFI of E60 to be used for communication b/w my PC and e60.

 • Help!! Can't find a program to pause music when the headset is unplugged..

 • @ Oldy This is really good phone. Visually E65 looks better and the only other things I could say in favor of E65 is memory card which is not MMC mobile. MMC mobile is ok, but currently limited in size (only Kingston has 2GB card while all other vendors are limited to 1GB at the moment). I have tomtom and for example western Europe map takes some with application some 900MB. If you want to have Central Europe you need to exchange either card or have it bigger. I'm not fan of card changes so... but it all comes to personal preference. I'm very happy with performance of this phone and will surely use it for next few years.

 • This phone looks good. Or may be i am taken in by its general look

 • I'm not sure if this is related to latest fw as I didn't see it before, but here we go... aftr fw update I was on business trip changing time zones... then I saw that GMT zones are totally messed up for some countries. Nokia has patch available for download on their pages (go to software download for E60) and after applying it everything works fine.

 • @ Vito I'm using tomtom6 (aka navigator) and it works very nice and stable. The only bad side to this phone is that is uses MMCmobile cards which are mostly small (Kingston being the only one offering 2GB at the moment) so maps may take your whole space. The GPS usnit I use is LD-3W by Nokia.

 • Sry, forgot to mention: Software that has maps preloaded (i.e. does not download the OTA as needed). Thanks again

 • Please help!!! I have a SirfStarIII Bluetooth GPS module and I've used the simplistic GPS features of the phone. Does anyone know where I can get a free/cheap GPS software for the S60? Is anyone using a particular software that they like on this phone? Please respond via email. Thanks a million!!!

 • Actually, I just had to make links back again without reinstalling - data was there but for some reason in this version restore is not able to restore link to application.

 • I agree with Alex. Restore did nothing so I had to reinstall whole thing back (gmail and google maps).

 • sadeks, i use voip on this phone and it works perfectly!:)

 • I was wondering if anyone had an opinion comparing this phone to other GSM/WLAN(VOIP) handsets? I am looking for a 'business' phone that is ok in size (E61 was too big). That has WLAN and VOIP. Is the VOIP functionality good enough to use on a regular basis? Also, I have been having troubles finding this phone in the US. Does anyone know any good places to get this phone new/used? THANKS!

 • Everything works faster in the latest upgrade. Nokia claims there is stun and NAT traversal support in SIP. VOIP is good, the phone is no lonver heats up when internet calling is used. Working with Carset is much better. The sound quality in my car is much much better. The only drawback for me was that backup absolutely did not work for me. I had to reinstall all applications anew including all VOIP profiles and settings.

 • as i can see, this new firmware is only available for USA...

 • Anyone knows the advantages of the new latest firmware update for E60 released by Nokia a few days ago?

 • Yes, you can also edit office files (word, excel)and not only view them. That is what makes it superior to E50 which, if I remember correctly, only provides a viewer for those file types. Anyway, I read somewhere that the software on E50 CAN be upgraded to support office documents editing. But the E60 looks much better and is far superior to E50 in many ways - larger screen/better resolution, better keys, Wi-Fi etc. No camera though but it's a business/working phone and I rarely used the built in camera of any other phone so I don't miss it at all. Cheers!

 • Can I edit office documents on this or this only gives read option?

 • A New Firmware update is available for Nokia E60!!!!

 • @Protik To youre question. 1. yes 2. yES.

 • please answer my question below: which pair of headphones/earphones are offered with this mobile when being purchased??

 • which pair of headphones/headset/earphones are they offering with this mobile??? reply asap

 • I am interested in either buying this phone or the Nokia E50. Can anybody tell me how big, or small, the font size is compared to the E50 or N73. Also, How would the battery life be if it would only be used to talk, without using any applications or anything turned on?

 • im looking to buy this phone for use as a wireless skype phone, but there is also the netgear and belkin wifi alternatives, can anyone offer any advice? cheers

 • nice slim smart phone to bad it hangs 2min when sending textmsg

 • @Protik 1. No 2. Unknown

 • @H thanx H. i am using adobe reader LE 1.5,which was not preinstalled on my device.i downloaded it from adobe.com and installed it. once again i got this"not enough memory" message from the phone when trying to make a backup of ohone memory on the MMC. im kinda confused and am willing to find a way to preform a master reset.

 • Please respond to the following queries: 1. Does the phone have the capacity to store web pages for offline viewing? 2. Is there any way to increase the duration of the voice memo -- some software, perhaps? Take care, and have fun.

 • Thanks @H. Does the phone has the capacity to store webpages for offline viewing? Take care, and have fun.

 • Recently, I have decided to use BlackBerry service on my E60. Is there anyone who have used BlackBerry service on this device and could tell me how it works because I have heard that person calling you finds your phone not responding when service is enabled.

 • @ ProTik It does not - this is Symbian.

 • @ag and H Thanks a lot for the sharp feedback. I also needed to know whether or not this phone supports any version of MS Windows Mobile. Take care and have fun.

 • 2GB is max for RS-MMC.. and this phone support up to 2GB max, just nice ^^

 • @ProtTik Max size of RS-DV-MMC out there.

 • Can anybody tell me what is the maximum size of MMC card supported by E60? Take care, and have fun.

 • @sam I had to find first a document of that size, but I found one... while it takes time to load it - it does that job and if works fine. What pdf reader are you using?

 • thanx, but i tried that. H, could you possibly try to open a 5Mbyte pdf file? see how your device works. i tried that on E50 and the filed opened perfectly. maybe the total ram on E60 is not enough for such a task.

 • what is this BLACKBERRY CONNECTION?can anyone explain it to me???plz

 • You will free up RAM by switching off and on mobile.

 • i seem to be having a problem. i try to open a pdf file( which i could before) when no other application is running and the phone says: memory low! is there a way to: 1. free up some RAM without removing applications? 2. reset the phone to the state in wich it came out of the factory? thx.

 • i seem to be having a problem. when trying to open a pdf file, which i could do before, the phone says not enough memory! when this happens no other applications are running.i have updated the firmware and installed some applications. could anyone possibly tell my what i can do to: 1. free up some RAM without removing anything. or 2. reset the phone to the original state safely making it just the way it came out the factory. thanx.

 • For VOIP goto www.my-symbian.com There is a forum for S60 E3. There are numerous threads with all details for VOIP.

 • Can someone assist me on configuring VoIP. What should I do?

 • does anybody knows how can i remove the covers?

 • very good!

 • @ ahmed alemiri This is easy because you must enable downloads of whatever that doesn't have certificate... you will find it in web settings...

 • I don`t have any problems with this phone. It`s a great phone and i`m very glad to have it.

 • @ ahmed alemiri, Go to "Setting", and then "App Manager". Press "Option" and then "Setting". In the "Software installation", change its status from "Signed only" to "All".

 • hi i have one problem with this phone i download themes for it from the internet but i can not install it on the phone can any body plase tell me what is the problem thanks

 • @ikhanr It does not have that out of the box. Probably there is application for it, but I could not comment that as I never needed it. There is no Extras in E60 (I remember those from 6330i days).

 • Hi, Does any body know if E60 comes with StopWatch, Timer etc? and any good alarm application for it? I remember my friend had it and it showed a folder called "Extras" in menu. Mine doesn't have that. Any clues??

 • I have a problem associating avi files with SmartMovie; have installed SmartMovie and it scans files very smoothly but when I transfer avi files via bluetooth, it cannot open files from there Anybody knows how to associate avi files with SmartMovie?

 • Hello All. I have the E60 and was very happy until the sending of SMS was very slow, then i found this tool at the nokia page, it helped me a lot! Regards Kasper

 • @ momo I used few times speaker option and had no issues... Today I did a test with friend standing few metres away and still no issues... could be your unit - if so get it fixed.

 • i see so many comments about games and etc for the Nokia E60. People must realise that this phone is mot for kids and cannot be used as toy. This phone is one of the best business phones. Thanks NOKIA!

 • to Autolock the keypad use the following Free Software

 • Had the E60 for four days now. It is easily the best business phone since the 6230i. Do not mind the absence of a camera. Good that it has no moving parts (slides, flips) - just solid and works all the time. One problem though - the keygaurd/keylock function does not automatically lock once you are done using the phone. Nor can you preset it to lock the keypad after a few seconds after using the phone.

 • speaker function SUCKS, everytime i turn on speaker, other party always hear echo. can anyone teach me how to fix it?

 • How to get VPN and Voip work, I tried many times still unavail. And also what does the nokia network bridge do, how it work? I install already but say got network limitation, and why it has to get into the WLAN first, i thot using the usb cable to attain the IP address. I super noob, pls help. Thank you very much.

 • Of course, it would be wrong from me to say that some of features added in E61 do not look nice, but there was a reason why this fw got released first for E61 while E60, E62, E50 and E70 are on hold for now.

 • Matt, Nokia has released updated fw months ago. E61 has 3rd update, but there is a reason for that and to my knowledge there is no such need for E60.

 • Plamen, what application would that be?

 • There is a bug in NOKIA web browser. When you browse by WLAN, and try to open the application again occur the following error --WEB already in use-, and the only one solution is the hard reset.

 • Anyone know if Nokia is ever going to release an updated firmware for the E60. The E61 got a new firmware that fixed many bugs two weeks ago.

 • Morrowind, from my experience, it only works with RS-DV-MMC. Tried an old RS-MMC I had and it didn't work.

 • And can this GSM work with RS-MMC or only with RS-DV-MMC? And if it can work with both - is DV so much better?

 • Anyone else have problems with the RS-MMC slot cover not closing fully flush with the surface?

 • You can Download free symbian Applications for this phone on www.symbianv3.com

 • Is anyone using this phone with Cingular in the US and what is your experince. Thanks, JML

 • Great phone, longed to have it when announced and now a proud owner, truly professional and elegant thanks nokia

 • very nice handset

 • Go to www.dotsis.com or www.s60.com .There you can get many free programs and files for Symbian phones.I use DviX for play AVI files and OggPlay for mp3,wma and ogg files.

 • anybody try playing video file in this phone? Can it support .avi video format? I try play real video file on my 6600, it is very slow. Wanting to look for a multi-purposes phone that can play video. any good recommendation?

 • Does anyone know a web site for downloading "installable" themes and applications?

 • @Erixson no. E60 displays the numbers without any spaces. it is the same both in contacts and when you recieve a call from a new number.

 • I hope Nokia will launch E60 with mini usb port... hikksss.... pleaseeeeeee.... pleaseeee make E60 with mini usb port.... i need it so much....

 • Im thinking of buying it, I currently own the Nokia 6310i, which displays phone numbers with a space such as 212 540 2356, as opposed to 2125402356, does the E60 display numbers with a space?, please let me know, my email address is [email protected] thanks. E.Duran

 • simply best.......this iz the best fone 4 m3 coz its connectivity nd sound quality.....it can also read pdf filz nd can manage a zipd filz also..........i luv this YUMMY NOKIA E 60.........

 • i got the phone a week ago,and here are some comments: 1. perfect construction 2. rather fast response 3. perfect connectivity as expected 4. very ergonomic design 5. short battery life( 1.5 days with fair usage) i didnt update the firmware cause the guaranty people said i would lose guaranty. 6. very small amount of third party applications available. after all, it is even better than what i expected in almost any aspect.

 • I found a small "problem"... I say "problem" as it is more anoying than anything else. For RSS feeds (under bookmark) E60 will always use default WiFi connection even if you have "ask always to which AP to connect" set. Workaround is simple - change AP selection to manual and select current WiFi source as default one and then go back to "ask always". Web connection and all web application I use will use "ask always", while RSS feeds will always check what is default WiFi connection and try to use that.

 • It's perfect. Its a BUSINESS phone.

 • This is the best phone i've had in years (Not for tech newbees) and the voip is killer! BUY IT!

 • It's absolutely perfect. Who needs a camera ?

 • Dont believe on reviews just have a look and decide for yourself...do you want this BUSINESS phone

 • I was surprised to find out that Google has released gmail and gmaps for Symbian - It works very nice. I wish they do gtalk soon too.

 • i love it,it's almost perfect.

 • i have this phone and it sucks badly...crappy menus, battery etc.Dont buy it.

 • I love this phone.... only draw back is that it has no camera... otherwise I would have gotten it already!

 • Hey i have been using this phone for the past 1 month N let me tell u this phone rocks. I have tried all kinds of phones. If u don't want a camera then close ur eyes and buy this phone. I gaurantee u that u would really be satisfied. Nokia thank u. I love E 60 ........

 • thanks H!

 • @ sam It is not possible due to cover and battery not matching I was told. Never tried that, but simple test in shop will do.

 • has anybody used a BL-6C battery for E60? apparently ot is possible to do on the E50.

 • Sorry, what I meant to say is TomTom 6. Official page got it also listed (even they list E61 only for E series).

 • in order to change the resolution of games you must add the following lines in the manifest.mf file located in the meta-inf folder inside the .jar file: Nokia-MIDlet-Original-Display-Size: 240,320 Nokia-MIDlet-Target-Display-Size: 352,416 change the original size according to the game

 • version 5 of tomtom mobile doesnt work on this phone, i am using tomtom navigator the app version is6.010 my phone is running 2.0618.06.05 firmware. As for being able to see the screen while your driving its great very clear and crisp. i use it everyday as i travel alot in my work. if any one wants any more info drop me a mail and i will try to help.

 • the reason why battery life is so short could be attributed to its display of 16 Million colors. I had a panasonic vs3 phone, it has the same resolutio/display, and battery life is just disappointing

 • can this fone support .pdf files???

 • @ egle Something tells me this phone is NOT for you.

 • @ peeaar On Nokia site you have unrar package.

 • hello very good mobile, only prob is jar files work but rar files not working, can someone help me how rar files can work on this mobile tks

 • @ Pieter Tom Tom 5 should work.

 • battery life 20h max. i'm tired of this phone. tried everything (firmware update, switch to gsm only, no bt no wlan).

 • Ben writes, below, that he is running TomTom on the E60 without problems. I've seen other reviews where people claim that it doesn't run. So the question is: which version of TomTom are we talking about? And can anyone else confirm that it works?

 • guys E90 is on the way with 2mp , HSDPA , EDGE , WiFi, bluetooth Qwerty keyboard and an amazing design and a vlarge screen, it will be the best communicator

 • Hi. I am planning to buy the E60. Does anyone know what version of Tomtom is compatible with the phone?. Is the display useable when driving given its small size? Thanks

 • @ ikhanr I'm not aware of how you can change resolution - AFAIK you can only rotate screen. Btw, businessmen will have second phone for free time ;)

 • i've had this phone for 4 weeks and i must say i love it, it replaced my nokia n80 and my blackberry 7100v and it does it very well apart from the lack of the camera but i can live without this. i run tomtom on it with no probs the screen is very clear as good if not better than the n80. it is very solid with no creeks or loose parts. the phone is for the business user i wouldnt recommend anyone else to get it as there are better phones on the market that will suit your needs. but for me its the best phone ive had and ive had loads! hope this help

 • Hi Guys!!! Does anybody know if this display can be set on a lower resolution e.g. 320*240 or 220*176? I have java games designed for these resolution. When I play them on this phone, they appear real tiny. Any suggestion or a good website where I can get high resolution games. I know this is a business phone, but businessmen also have free time sometimes.

 • @Amgad-Egypt You can delete it via SW. To add them you will need to disable auth method - check some previos posts.

 • This line of phone has the gratest potential to be the king of smart business phones. The key pad with T9 is great. What will make this the greatest yet is 1) Handwriting recognition 2) A bigger screen with a digital display qwerty keypad on the screen when required 3) A camera 4) more memory 5) Battery life a little longer

 • Hi Guys I just had this phone yesterday and I'm still exploring, yet I have tow problems. The first one it doesn't accept most of themes and applications, even those designed for Symbian 3rd edition, one another thing once I installed a theme I don't have the option to delete it, as I was used to do with my previous 6680. Would you please recomend on these tow issues.

 • @anonimus Your best bet is to go down to local shop and try it before you buy it.

 • Can comment truthfully, is this phone good?

 • If this phone got camera and build-in radio, is will be the best ideal phone for me.! haha(nothing is perfect)

 • Hi Thanks for the hint. I finally found the software updater and installed it. The fw is now: 2.0518.06.05 14-07-06 RM-49 WLAN is really stable now. No lost signal anymore. Next I'll check VoIP and watch the battery strength and hope the best. pruduch

 • Hello Dude, Mee too faced this issue initially. After the firmware update the battery life boosted up and all other issues disapper. Go go nokia-asia.com and to support page for E60 download Nokia S/W Updater and do it Regards, Narasimhan

 • Hi does anybody know where to get the latest firmware? On my E60 is this one: 1.0610.02.15 12-04-06 RM-49 (appears when *#0000# entered) My phone's battery dies after 25-27 hours - moderate usage: approx. 1~2 hours/day (no calls at all, only applications), but bluetooth is enabled. WLAN connection to my Netgear router WPN824 get lost every ten minutes despite intervisibility. (I'm sitting next to the router, there are no walls in between) That's pretty frustrating when you need to browse the internet and have to reconnect constantly, sometimes every second click on a link. I'm using WPA-TKIP security settings, WLAN is not hidden. Due to the unstable WLAN connection the use of the VoIP feature seems to be futile. Nevertheless I tried to configure the E60 for my finarea accounts like VoipBuster and co. and failed. The E60 would be the smartphone I allways wanted, I don't want a cam, I just want a stable WLAN and a working VoIP-client software. So now I really hope to find a newer firmware and hope that I don't have to go to a Nokia repair center. Maybe somebody has a link to download the latest firmware or an alternative VoIP client for Symbian? Thanks pruduch

 • hi, you can update ur fw with ur pc, just goto nokia ws and download nokia software updater. Upgraded mine, so far no problem :)

 • i have an error from FW upgrading... it says intern error... does anyone has same problem?

 • where i can upgrade my e60? now i can't use my e60 more than 2 days... :(

 • Its really nice one but Can you tell me how do i activate WLAN wifi. My officer need Proxi setting and Web Key? How do I put this info to activate wifi. please mail me

 • @ am cool You need WLAN access point. From there you should use it if you are authorized to do so. You are not going to learn much from this forum so I would suggest you get official docs and do some reading. Easiest way to test it is if you have WLAN at your home or work and test it there by accessing first and then browsing or updating applications like TravelMate (available free from Nokia site for 3 years usage).

 • how do you use wifi? teach me pls i realy dont know it..

 • Hi Al, You can't install yahoo messenger but you can install agile messenger, it does the same job and you can use wifi to connet. try it!

 • @ Musu Yes, it is possible. I didn't try it, but I did read reports about it and instructions how to do it. Have a search with google.

 • Forgot to mention that because the screen is great and it has USB connectivity, it makes a great photo album. It doesnt need resizing so it can just take any photo size and it looks great.

 • HI. Got this phone a while back and hence had a play with it so i can properly say what i think abt it after a while. Pros: 1) It's a smartphone - think multitude of programs you can install in it. And it being the latest symbian software its suppose to be the fastest. To be honest, i came from a Motorola V3 so it the E60 felt slow. Although, other older symbian users have said its blazing compared to their old phones. 2) It's got a pretty decent built in memory so u can save lots of stuff with it. Dont think abt doing loads of movies unless u loads it up with a bigger RS MMC. I have a 2Gb in it and its a decent video-ipod replacement. WHich brings me to good point no. three 3) It's resolution and screen is the best at the moment. *note* comparing it to phones from japan like the Sharp VGA screen on is not considered. It's resolution is so high and crisp, i can loads up great videos in it after coverting. 4) It works as a usb drive in a way. You just plug it in and voila, start throwing stuff into the phone. Think only the nokia E series supports it in the nokia line. 5) Battery life is actually great in 2G and after updating the latest firmware from nokia. Hits abt 5 days with minimal use. Sure it could hit 6 if i left it alone. With wifi occasionally, it hits 4-5 days. Ocassionally means checking footie score, reading 1-2 mails and browsing headlines. Can't comment on 3g i'm sorry. 6) Solidly built from nokia. No creaks and squeeks. weakest part is the rsmmc cover but rest all solid. Cons: 1) Brick design. Was sorta fooled by online pictures but when i got it from ebay....i was like.....it's big....please look at it in person. It's alos not that light...cant say heavy but not light (after all i was coming from a V3). 2) It's a symbian. Has crashed on me several times. Maybe hitting 25 times in total so far. Requires a reset more than my toshiba laptop. Although have to say the phone is crashing much less as i use it. Could be im not used to symbian software. Also, becuz its symbian, its slower than non smartphones. 3) Sound quality is SLIGHTLY above average at best. Get ANY SONY ERICSSON phone and it will own this E60. On the note of sound, the only provide mono phones in the package. 4) Resolution is so high, that u will have problems finding proper convertors to the native 352x416 screen. But have to say, at 320x240 the screen looks great still. 5) No camera. Dont expect it to be a carl zeiss lense or anything but could be useful for some comic shots. As u can see, i have played with the phone and am using it. I've not been signing praises about it and i think i have given a fair review of it. I wont be telling u to buy it or start a pro-nokia, anti samsung/SE flame thread. It's up to u. But my final score is it gets a solid 8/10. The reason being, wifi is just so amazing to have everywhere u go. And how many of us bring a pda everywhere we go like a mobile phone? Cheers.

 • I just got this phone and I have an issue with the E60 menu - When selecting any folder I get a "no data" message. Has anyone else had this issue?

 • GUYYYSSS!! Pls someone tell me is it possible to install Yahoo Messenger on E60? Can I have my friend's list on Nokia E60 and Sign in when I'm in HotSpots?

 • Hi guys! Can we use services like SKYPE for the E60 "VoIP over WLAN" facility?

 • plz try and send the phone by the end of the m0onth

 • @ Nosherwan Can you describe your problem?

 • @ jey To check specs check official site or dowload manual. As for WiFi, it supports all common encryption standards used by WiFi today.

 • It is a great phone for anyone who does not need a camera or fm radio. I m having only one problem and that is i m unable to connect to my laptop through WLAN, i have IBM T42. Can anyone help me to sort it out

 • what kind of encryption can i use for WiFi connection. I plan to buy a new phone and i wanna have a look at E60 features. thanks.

 • @ H i used to have a 3650 i liked the os but not the phone it self it was a bit big i like sb 60 i want it for it display , size, screen, wifi, mameryand price i like it no cam no prob thanks for ur help H

 • @ jay It really depends what you want from the phone. Read the specs and see if it fits what you want. Keep in mind that this is business phone and majority who will get it for that purpose won't pay that much as they will get via contract. As for 3rd party application, if they are supported for S60 you will be able to run it. If you already have some "must have" applications that make sure you get phone that can support them first.

 • i am saving up to get this phone but i want to know is it worth 300 bucks and can u put 3 party apps

 • @ Dexeaur To be honest, I still didn't play with videos at all - as I still didn't buy memory card, but that might change this week. I thought real player would play it to be honest. If not I guess I will need to find something else.

 • @ Dexeaur Yup, it doesn't come with any game at all installed. If you check Nokia site for E60 you will find some software for it. gsmarena likes to break URLs so if you still be having issues let me know and I will try to post it somehow.

 • So far so good. Charged phone once and battery life is still lasting. Got the phon on Wednesday nite and today its still more than 2/3 battery life. Havent done any wifi so far as wireless router hasnt arrived. But been using it as a media player as i have 2gb RS MMC. SOund quality is above average. Nothing like the Nokia 6233 speakers or even the SE ones. The ability to load up pictures of any size onto the phone does make it really cool. Screen is the best. And i mean the best! Even better than my friends Panasonic VS6. Better than N73 or Motorola V3x. It's that clear. As i'm sitll exploring phone, will give further reviews as i go along. Still sick guys so will take it slow. Oh, H, i have a question, what program to u use to load up videos in the phone? Any free ones? The smartmovie 3.25 seems to be good but is too ex for a program for a phone. Any sugggestions?

 • Got the phone. Have to say it's thicker in width than i thought but thinner in depth. Anyways, got the FW update and all. Didnt really have time to play with it as i'm sick with the flu at the moment and sitll have paperwork to do. Just realised i prefer to run it rotated. But will have to learn how to sms that way! Also wondered if its std preinstalled software DIDN'T include any games in it. Cuz there aren't any games in mine. Want to load up the 2gb rs mmc with some software. Anyone care to share good sites for it? Also, would want to put in a couple of maps of cerftain towns of europe so i can check it out should i get lost. Cheers. Will do proper review once i feel better.

 • @ vantha Not really as I did started to play for real with phone pretty much after fw upgrade and everything before was very low usage.

 • @ Dexeaur I havent updated my E60 fw yet. Would want to wait and see what its benefit is. And now it seems that battery can run longer after the update. I mean WLAN is enabled and keeps searching for available connection all the times although not connected. @H Do you have any more impression on the performance of battery and other aspects after fw update?

 • @ ES What do you mean you have access to your LAN? You mean WLAN? But there is no DHCP? I just managed to setup mine E60 with some encryption (had some issue with WPA and linksys router). I didn't test it without DHCP, but in that case use Tools->Settings->Connection->Access Points -> Select your access point and then select Options (left softkey) -> From there choose 'Advanced Settings' and then 'IPv4 settings'. @ Dexeaur After fair usage of phone after some time with new fw I still have 6 days max. What is noticable now is that whenever I use heavilly phone battery does last longer than before. As for WiFi being up all the time, I assume believe believe WiFi is enabled all the time. If you go to Connection Manager and check available WLAN neworks you get response right away - this why I believe too WLAN is up and searching for access points all the time (wihtout connecting of course).

 • Can we enter IP to the E60 ? I have connection but no access in my LAN ? Can somebody help me please ?

 • My E60 arrived today! JOY! Will be charging it up 1st. Will do a small review soon. Vantha, have u tried updating your firmware like H? Is the battery life still bad after the firmware update? Also, when u said the wifi cant be shut does that mean u have been leaving it on for 2 days straight?

 • I have Nokia E60 almost a month now and generally it is a very nice phone. It has a brilliant display showing off up to 16 million colours. It is the best screen I have ever seen so far. The picture is very clear, detailed and bright enough. The MP3 playback quality through loudspeaker is mediocre (slightly worse than Nokia 6230i). However, its MP3 playback through headphone is superior than Nokia 6230i. Nokia E60 supports RS-MMC of up to 2GB with hotswap capability. Currently, I use 1GB of RS-MMC and can store hundreds of MP3s with good quality. Internal phone memory is also very big: around 65MB. Most of all, E60 has pre-installed Word, Excel, and PowerPoint which support the most common features of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. It can also view pdf. documents. In addition, it also has built-in WiFi which can be used either in adhoc or infrastructure mode, but it cannot be turned off. To sum up, I have not encountered any major problems with the phone so far. Battery life does not last longer than 2 days for average users. Nokia should have concentrated more efforts on battery. I would strongly recommend E60 for those who do not need built-in camera!!!

 • Please tell me how I can download map for nevegator or landscape, also tell me if I can have al moathen for prayer. with respect always

 • can anyone assist to help how to save the poly ringtone in the E60. Able to download but unable to save in the phone. It show "unable able to open the medial chip" Have tried saved under the mmc card but can't load the ringtone in the profile.

 • Please let me know if I can install Yahoo Messenger on Nokia E60 or I can't.

 • Please somebody let me know that is it possible to install Yahoo Messenger on Nokia E60?

 • Please tell me if I can read/modify .pdf/.doc files Thanks.

 • hello all, i want to buy a memory card for the E60. Does anyone know whether the following is compatible with the device ? Thanks.

 • I believe that is the best phone that i ever had in my life the only negetive point is it has no camera otherwise theeeeeeeeee best.

 • It is. When I say that it means it will cope with 3G signal and call. Some people believe that for 3G phone must have camera. That would be crap as those kids never really read the specs of 3G. supporting in this case means receiving and not giving. In other words, it supports 3G, but it can't send live stream if that would be important to you.

 • Just wondering, but is this phone 3G compatible?

 • Does the N73 work as instant USB mode like the E series?

 • @ Emil Take N73 as E60 doesn't fit your requirements.

 • To Mr.H:Thank you !!!!It works!!!!Thank you!!!

 • I use Apple Macs. My N70 did not synch well with it. Knowing that I want my mobile to also have a camera but no need to have the best one, which Nokia to pick; the N73 or the E60 (which has wireless) Thank you.

 • @ Raymond Just go to 'Tools | App manager | Options | Settings' and set 'Software installation' to "All". and 'Online certif check' to "Off". After it should work.

 • Re. to Mr H:Not from nokia sites. From developers, that supposed to be O.K.

 • From where did you install this? Nokias site?

 • Can't install themes,says certificate error!!!Can enybody help me with this,please?

 • Read the manual please.

 • Can enyone help me with installing themes in this awesome phone?

 • It is not. You need to be online, connect phone via cabel to PC and socket in the wall, make backup, install updater, run update, it downloads and then upgrades fw, then it reboots phone, make restore and there you go.

 • So anyone else sucessfully updated their phone yet. Negotiating price of phone from someone who wishes to sell it. H, wanna know if it's hard to update firmware by yourself.

 • Phone has the same price almost everywhere if you wish to buy it without contract (yes, there might change in some 5 euros, but then again with all the post or travel cost...). If you can, you should try to get it via contract.

 • perfect phone, but much too expensive in bulgaria !!!!! tell me where to buy cheaper :)) best wishes to all nokia-freaks worldwide !

 • Well, just make sure this ohone is what you want. I must admit I did a mistake not doing research as I assumed I would not have problems finding chm reader for it. As it turns out, that's MS property and I would require Windows mobile based mobile for it. My mistake. But apart from that everything seems to be in order with this phone.

 • Right, E60, here i come! Any last complaints u want to make before i plunge 160 quid on it? Note: Pls no camera comments.

 • My impression is that my battery will need to be charged again after 6 days, but this time I did use it more than before. I do use WiFi on daily basis to update TravelMate information (can be downloaded from Nokia site) and check email from bed. Number of calls and text messages is like you describe. Before, with such usage I would have it 4 days running.

 • VICIOUS!!! If u can do a week on standby that would be insane! What abt with ocassional use (ie 10 minutes call and 15 sms a day) Btw, how has the wifi battery life improve. Is the new firmware more stable incidentally. Sorry for thenosy questions, but have been eyeing the E60 for a while and the only thing it needed was a better wifi battery life for me to buy it.

 • With no use prior to update it was 6 days for me. Now with moderate usage is more, but can't say how long as I still didn't charge it after fw update.

 • So how long does the battery life lasts now on average? On GSM and 3G mode. Would it hit 5 days if no use at all? What about heavy use? Can it talk straight for 5 hours?

 • No radio, but you have real player so I believe you could use that to listen to net stations.

 • Great phone... is there an FM radio on it??

 • After upgrade of fw I must say that battery life seems to be much much longer. No idea what they did, but kudos to Nokia engineering for fixing this.

 • @ Balaji What camera? :)))))))))))) External one perhaps?

 • Hi nokia e60 really super handset and camera also very good.Downloading speed is very good

 • Yup, as Goran says (pozdrav :) you must be online. This is because updater will then download fw and install it for you.

 • You have to BE CONECTED on net before you start upgrade program, else it says NO NEW VERSION.

 • Hi there, I am in Australia and just bought a E60. When I tried to install the software updater, it says there is no latest update for my phone. The firmware that is currently on my phone is 1.0610.02.15 12-04-06. Any ideas? Thanks.

 • Upgrade done. It requires phone to be connected to power supply and you must do backup as all your data will be wiped out. After upgrade *#0000# shows: 2.0618.06.05 14-07-06 RM-49 Nokia E60 Restore brought back data as expected. Whole upgrade procedure is: 1. Download updater from Nokia site 15MB 2. Installation takes some 10-12 minutes I could not find document saying what changes/fixes does this fw do, but I did upgrade anyway.

 • As far as I can see Nokia has posted E series fw upgrade. I will check it out this evening when back home from the desk.

 • Hey All, More to say about the phone: the more I use it the more I love it. Sure the camera may have been a nice addition, but this is a strict business phone, and its designed to be strictly business (ie. no camera). If you want the same phone with a camera, go for the E70. For all still confused about Topram memory: the part number on the memory card itself is: "MC2GH01GDMCA-SA" and after a quick search on google i got this address: so if you're unsure whether a card off of ebay is DV or not, email the seller and ask for the number off of the card. And for the questions about the case: I got one with my phone when I got it off of ebay, I'm sure that you can get a third party case for it. All the holes on my case fit perfectly, there's even enough room to slide the phone in with a wired headset attached to the pop-port without having to take it off. I don't know why people are so afraid of ebay. I bought the phone and two accessories for it and so far have had 0 problems. Save money, use ebay! :)

 • BENNY go over to Sign up and goto the forums. There is a dedicated Series 60 3rd edition forum with many many posts about sip/voip. I for one have Sipgate working via wifi with no problems whatsover. Matt

 • I expected more from this phone. When BT and Wifi are on, batterylive is one day. When you change location, you need to tevboot the phone to get access to the wifi network again. There is little explanation on how to get the get the phone registred to a sip provider. The syntax is very important but no explanation is in the book. When the phone can't register to SIP, there is no further explanation why it didn't and how you should solve this.

 • I just love this phone,thank u nokia

 • just bought E60 2 days ago. My E60 firmware is 1.0610.02.15 RM-49. I tried installing new themes downloaded from the net, but could not install it. It says "Error certificate...". Pls help!!!

 • @Vito I just bought Kingston 2 GB DV RS-MMC and it works great with my E60.

 • just an excelent mobile device it has everything i want and no camera...ha ha just wonder if i could use bl-6c for this one cos bl-5c is a little weak for a smart multimedia phone

 • it is great product of nokia.

 • nice phone, it would be better if they provide camera option. i feel nokia should really work on what they make on higher end

 • not bad

 • I have the Nokia E60, i use Sipgate via wifi without any problems whatsover

 • I am interested in buying this cellular one, but it'd like to know if it could use the resource of VOIP with the GIZMO + SIPphone.com?

 • Actually I just found CP-59... Ignore my previous post.

 • Has anyone heard anything on subject of carrying case for this device. Official page list CP-59, but that model is out of business for some time and shops do not have it (official and distributors). I think it is rather bad thing to release business oriented phone without business expected cover.

 • I bought the E60 last week, I can't keep my hand off it. A great phone worth every penny I paid for. Nokia are back on track!

 • I love this phone! I have it from 2 months and it works fine. SMS, battery life, mail client... All the applications are working fine. I just wonder why there are people with problems. I get mine from Bulgaria, from the official Nokia shop. SO...

 • @bAsh That would be latest firmware (or perhaps should I say the only for now). @sam I usually have this phone along with Nokia 6310i in rucksack (as I can't find carrying case for E60!?) and they rub against each other. After more than month I can't see any issues.

 • hi, i have read somewhere that the metal parts of the frame get scratched easily. has anyone who has used it for a while noticed such a problem?

 • Hi, Had my phone for about a month now and i cant imagine replacing it for any other phone in the market. As mentioned by other users, I havent faced that slow sms sending problem, or the hanging up problem after being locked for a long time and also no probelm with outlook sync.BUTTTT the contact list sorting problem is quite annoying. One thing nore, 15 days after buying, i picked up the phone and it showd two missed calls.I clicked SHOW and it was only showing the missed calls till the previous day. i made some more missed calls from my land line and they were also not shown in the list. Deleting the previous entries did not help, only restarting the phone solved this. I have created accounts for my official mail and Gmail in messaging and they are working fine but hotmail and yahoo accounts are not working at all. hotmail gives the error"no server found". can any body help me in solving this. Whats the latest firmware version for E60. mine is 1.0610.02.15 RM-49

 • I just read what I wrote and perhaps I was a bit unclear - I used Nokia PC suite to transfer the files (not convert them of course).

 • @ Vito, I had some chm files which I converted to html to be able to use them with phone. I used Nokia PC Suite to do that. As for memory card, there seems to be quite a mess around this. It looks like most of the "mini" cards work at high voltage range while phones are lower one. This leads to communication problems. To address it DV has been created making sure this process works. Now, if card is DV then it is RS too, but RS doesn't have to be DV. This also means that RS and non DV will probably work (some may not), but I will not risk. I found that even Sandisk had warning about this on their website.

 • Well on ebay they keep saying that the card is a DV card, so I'm going to see what it says when I get it, maybe find a way to test it. Also some people bought it for the N70 (it needs a DV as well) and they say that it works great, so I'll take a look and keep you posted. As for now, anyone have any idea how I can transfer txt files onto the phone memory? I want to use it as an ebook but I don't see any way to simply transfer it (BT/IR are not options, USB only). Thanks

 • i sold this phone last month it was going slow and slow day by day, major problem was lazy on sms sending,i used one day N73 its screen is 256k. while E60 has 16m, i bought to day again E60. now i put all data in memory card, and useing care fully, i close each window one by one, i never had phone like this, good size Grace full, Solid, And looks elegent,i like this phone a lot, thanks Nokia.

 • @ Vito When I went to topram web site I saw that their MMC is not DV! Actually, on their website they list Nokias that cannot use that card as it is NOT dual voltage. If you check picture on ebay you will see the same - not dual voltage! It might work - I have no idea, but given that RS DV is required I'm not willing to buy card not certified and do something wrong to my mobile.

 • @Vito I work at the R&D Department for a GSM Telecom so I use the phone "heavily" for testing and for my everyday communications. A possibility of me having long battery life is the signal strength as we have more than a couple of airsites that are of very close proximity to our office were we get around -60 dBm of signal strength. :D

 • Oh, one thing I forgot to mention about T-Dimension: everything went perfect, except that they didn't send me a confirmation or tracking number after the purchase... I emailed them 3-4 days afterwards and they replied with the link and tracking number the day before it came in, other than that the transaction, inquiries, etc. went perfect. ps: sorry for double posting

 • TO ALL: I GOT THE PHONE!!! :D First of all, T-Dimension is good, cheap and even throws in a free case :D the delay from hitting "buy it now" to getting to my doorstep was 5 business days, not bad if you ask me. The phone is great, although it does feel a bit plasticky as mentioned before. Well I'll professionals do the full review, but so far I love the phone! :) @Mike671 Yeah, I just bought the 1GB Topram off of ebay as well, mine is supposed to come with a USB reader as well, we'll see how it fares up. And how do you manage to get 2 days of batter out of it? I have a second battery (from my old 3120 :P) and with heavy usage it doesn't last a day... I end up having to replace the battery around 10pm :( of course my heavy usage is an hour of wifi, an hour of mp3's, and several hours of talking, so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised... what's your definition of "heavy" usage, Mike? I don't have nearly as many contacts (73) but I don't seem to have any delay at all. Anyone know of a good, cheap (preferably free) anti-virus software for the phone? and is it really even necessary?

 • I am a pro photographer from India, have been waiting for a phone like this for a long time, alas no stock with the local Nokia dealer, it seems it has to be specially ordered, meanwhile dealer tried his best to log me on to me of the N series, why cant they understand that there are some people that want phones with no camera, those of you who are cribing due to lack of camera, please dont buy this phone look elsewhere and stopping whining!!

 • @Vito I bought a Topram 512MB DV RS-MMC (Brand new) on Ebay for US$10.50 and it works great. @stylinexpat & shanti patel As far as the bug on contacts, I have about 350 contacts on my outlook and I sync with Nokia PC Suite through bluetooth with no problems. I also installed a bunch of programs from anti-virus to utilities and never got a lag or hang up. But I always stop any program(s) I don't use by terminating them with the task manager. :D I also don't have a problem with the WiFi always on issue. I use it heavily everyday (together with calls & sms) & and still get 2 days worth of battery life.

 • I am myself looking for memory too. I found on amazon cheapest offering to be 18 pounds for UK, but I will have to review the brand first. Usually in shops with brand name you wull find it for 50-60 pounds and that's not cheap. I'm also a bit worried about this wave of storage I collected; my mp3 player is actually 30GB hard disk, memory stick is 4GB, I have PSD for photos 40GB and now memory for phone too? I need to consolidate myself :)

 • Anyone know of a cheap site to buy RS-DV-MMC cards? Of course shipping to Canada has to be cheap as well :P @ H Thanks for the reply, I was actually looking at the 1GB RS-DV-MMC card. And the main reason I got this phone over the K800/790 or the W810i is because this one has Wi-Fi and a great resolution screen - seeing as how my university as well as most coffee shops offer free Wi-Fi service, I figured this phone would be perfect for having on the road :) Still waiting for it to ship though :( Why do they take so long to ship the darn thing? (rhetorical question :P)

 • @ previous poster I must say that I find that subject strange a bit. I work in one IT support company and mostly when visiting data centers you are not allowed to have cameras. However, they don't mind if you take mobile with you as your are always in company with someone watching you. In few DCs where they listed mobiles as not allowed I asked if no camera phones were allowed and they were, but rooms were so protected that no signal was coming in either so no use of the phone (except for any other function other than call/text). And I guess last one is the only function where I see advantage of it when it comes to business (but then real PDA sounds even better). The real advantage for me is that instead of all electronics and chip instructions used for camera this can be used now for something else - more required when it comes to business.

 • Finally they made a smartphone with no camera !!! I work in goverment facility so camera, memory sticks... not an option :(

 • Nice phone although I have decided to go for a SonyEricsson M600i now. A lot faster.

 • hi every1 outthere! well I luv the phone. its very nice. contact me

 • If you are having problems with this device try doing a hard-reset. I did a hard-reset on mine and it is a lot quicker now with no bugs in it. Contacts open up quickly as well. To do a hard-reset you need to hold down the * 3 and green button down for about 10 seconds when turning the phone off. First turn off phone and start phone, second turn off phone and last while turning on your phone hold down the * 3 and green call button for 10 seconds. Everything will be deleted or lost if you have anything in the phone. Hopefully this works for the people having problems as it worked for me for now..

 • @ sajjad Speed of text sending is up to network you use and strenght of signal. If signal is ok then is network. I'v been using this phone with T-Sys back home and for past few weeks in UK in roaming via Orange, Vodafone and O2 and there are no issue with text message sending speed.

 • Unfortunatley I live in the US [5 years behind when it comes to mobile tech] will buy the E60 out of the country. Cannot for the life of me understand why all the complaints about a camera have a 6230 with the camera and have never used it nor ever expect too.

 • i bought this phone. but ithas gone slow day by day, when send massage it hanged, good looking but slow, it waste the time, one should wait after send sms till comlete send, it take one or two minute to send one sms.

 • @ Vito MP3 storage area will depend on the size of the memory card you buy of course :) If you wish mp3 phone you are looking at wrong phone. While this phone will play mp3s it would be waste of money to buy phone like this just to listen mp3s. Rather buy yourself decent stereo. @pretty pip Are you sure you want this phone? Sound more you are after PEBL fruit edition. Business phones have never been sold as cosmetics on market so do not expect to see this phone in pink (unless you will buy some colors in shop and do it yourself).

 • Hi Vito, I'm not sure wats the max memory the phone can handle but I'm running mine with 1gb and the phone works fine...no lagging at all...

 • does any body kno if this fone cums in pink. I really want a pink fone but dis fone is de sexiest. I wish Nokia would make a Dolce & GAbbana E60

 • Does anyone know the max memory size that the phone can take? I'm looking to use it as an MP3 player every now and again, so that's pretty important to me. Thanks in advance :)

 • @stylinexpat I do not have issue with WiFi that you have. Might be sopecific to your device. As for BB software, I checked E61 forum and there are user being happy with it and using it. It sound as you bought device from someone who were messing around with it or perhaps even early beta that usually end up on ebay after official release in shops.

 • T-Dimension on eBay has the phone for US$242 VERY CHEAP!!! I just bought the phone from the yesterday, will keep everyone updated on their service! Also Hi-Mobile has the phone for around US$265 This is the cheapest, most feature packed phone I've seen so far! CAN'T WAIT TO GET MY HANDS ON IT!!!! (sry, I got a little excited there) :P

 • Good

 • This phone has two major problems or issues as someone reported in the E61 Forum. The contacts has a bug in it and the other issue is the WLAN issue of always being on and searching for WLAN all day long! This phone can easily catch bugs and viruses with the WLAN feature always on and draining battery as well. The Contacts issue is a major problem as well. Don't believe me then try Sunchronizng this device with your Microsoft Outlook and if you have more then 100 contacts you will be in for a big surprise! Every contact will take forever to open up and the device becomes as slow as a snail. I bought my deivce in Dubai and am in Hong-Kong now. Nokia in Hong-Kong wants $420 H.K.D. to service the device as this is the minimum charge and $100 H.K.D. to have the software reinstalled!! $520 H.K.D. just to get the same software reinstalled in it with no update for a Problem that exists from the software its self! I hope everyone here complains to Nokia to get this issue resolved. The new Nokia N73 and E61 has the same problem with the Symbian being slow as well.

 • when i synchronised outlook from pc, the phone became very slow to respond, finding a contact takes very long time, certanly not desirable when using during business time. Nokia should bring software update immediately to curb this situation

 • Nokia is taking everyone for a ride. I purchased the Nokia E60 and the blackberry software doesn't intall on it. Nokia says you need to upgrade the firmware to 2.618.06.05 and it seems that they haven't released the firmware at all. I don't understand why Nokia would go ahead with all the press releases and make people buy the phones if it will not work.

 • Bought the phone yesterday. Excellent features. Very stable. Pure business phone. Battery is moderate about a day and a half with frequent use of bluetooth and WiFi. Recommended.. I Require someone's help in try to connect to a wireless router with PPPoE connection. Thanks

 • @ISS interesting test, but from what I know, E60 standly time is not very good, it's quite annoy.

 • @Dan How about www.plemix.com I think they give acceptable price also.

 • @Tango I think it's 16m. But even if it would be lower you would probably not see any difference that makes sense.

 • @Max My issue was fixed by reading the manual :) Actually when I put the SIM inside I did put it down and battery on top of them thinking that's it. But it is not. I missed what in manual you will find as step (5) - I didn't lock it properly. I thought that would fix my SIM message problem that I had once a week, but to my surprise it did fix unlock issue too (for which I was sure it was SW problem, but as it turns out it is not at the end). @HoMo Yes, battery life sucks and I was also looking if I could put better battery inside. So far I could not find confirmation that is possible. I didn't try official Nokia, but I must honestly say that battery life sucks in my case. If heavily used (without WiFi and any special features) it lasts 2 days. When idle, used only for wake up call, it lasts for 6 days. I think this is the biggest minus to this device - everything else is fine.

 • Hi, is it possible to use BL-6C battery in this phone for better performance or not? (like some other models)

 • hello, Is this mobiles screen made of 16 millions colors or 262 144 colors as mentioned on nokias website ??? Thank you for tour answer, regards Tango.

 • @McLan I just want to say conguratulation to E60 and users because of this : How is the battery life according to other users? If that is goed, maybe you get a bad battery, maybe can you ask to the place where you buy to change?

 • I got one for two weeks, battery life is too short, no more than 2 days. Nokia should put a lot work on battery, I think the battery should be hold at least for 4 days.

 • To H: Can you please let me know how exactly you fixed your issue with locking/unlocking the phone as I seem to have the same? I can't unlock it after a while and the only option is removing the battery. Thanks, Max

 • OK, I got it working as I want so it only vibrates now. Happy so far!

 • Hi, Anybody knows if it can just vibrate for SMS? I just got it and can't see an option to make it vibrate in Silent/Meeting mode when an SMS arrives. I actually had to get rid of one of my previous Nokias due to this glitch so I hope this one doesn't have it. Please let me know if it's doable because otherwise the phone looks very good. Thanks, Max

 • Can this phone use a camera attach

 • Having major problems with the call waiting feature on this phone, just upgraded from a 6230i, when i use a bluetooth headset, the call waiting blips are so faint i cant hear them, i'm missing 4 calls an hour, the shop wont take it back, its been back to nokia 3 times and they say its ok

 • can anyone be kind enuf to tel me if i cud install symbian softwares (.sis)files in E60 as i did i nokia 6600 .... also can i watch movies in fullscreen.....can i install games in E60 through memory card ... pls help

 • I got the phone 2 days ago & i absolutely love it. Not too small & not too big. Screen is brilliant & clear. Earpiece volume is loud. On my previous phones earpiece volume was always set to the loudest but on this phone i only set it at 70%. Music playback is decent. Wifi & GPRS works great. Browsing is a breeze. Email works well. Battery life is decent. Interface is fast. I don't mind not having a camera as i've wanted a phone without one. The keypad is well laid out but they're a little bit hard when pressing. 9/10 :D

 • Week ago I did write here saying I was pleased with phone and did list an error I was getting as only problem I had. I'm happy to say that as it seems this is now fixed too! The problem was with SIM copartment of the unit and after replacing it my E60 is stable. I find this phone to be great and exactly what I need. I still have my old 6330i and only thing better there is battery which still lasts for 7 days when not in use frequently. E60 can't compete with that, but the battery is also smaller too. With E60 expect to charge on daily basis when used heavily (especially with WiFi). But this is design and not flaw (otherwise unit would be much much bigger.. like 9xxx).

 • Is it my imagination or are certain mobile phone networks somewhat reluctant to promote this phone? Could this be because they are worried that it's WIFI capabilities will rob them of call income? Why else would Orange in the UK not offer this phone? You can get the phone from Vodafone in the UK, but there is no mention of it on their website. Perhaps I'm just a trifle cynical.

 • since the functionalities of the first batch of E series (E60, E61, E70) are so similar, i think it depends on you which form factor you like most, aside from camera and screen size/resolution.

 • hi guys, i'm gonna get either this one or the nokia e61 this week, which one is better? any idea? anyone had chances to use both pls tell me. heaps thanx

 • Everything was fine until I synchronized my Phone with Outlook express for my contacts only. After Synchronizing the contacts the phone became as slow as a turtle. Taking as long as 3-5 seconds to open up a contact name to view. At times now it just freezes as well. I think there is some error with this phone for memory allocation and will need a firmware update to address this issue.

 • Hi...There don't seem to be any shortage of memory/ram while using the phone, though I'm running many application on the back ground. Very good stability so far!

 • Hows the memory (64meg.) being managed when many apps are open at the same time? On All about Symbian, theres an interesting article on RAM management by symbian os9.1

 • About e60 sound quality.I have e60 bout 6 weeks and w800 bout 4 months.Using both phones playing mp3 a lot, sound with earphones of course is better of w800 and much louder, sound with integrated speaker is better by e60,its much louder than one in w800.I even tried w800 original earphones with e60,but still w800 is unbeatable in that way:)

 • This is the best phone I have ever had :) realy everything is in it for me, I miss only 1 thing hahah a girl in it.( joke ) I can, navigate, I can login to websites, I can even manage my linux, unix, swich, remotly with ssh acces. realy the best phone for IT people. Thanks to nokia. is serious phone no camera's no bulshit. thanks nokia again :D

 • I have this phone for a week now. I did buy it in Germany and it is 430 euros (370 if tax free). Overall I'm happy with performance - long startup, but then you don't do many of those. The only issue I had so far is that when it stays locked for longer period I can't unlock it - well I can, but it shows sign of lock and I have only contacts available (to reset it I have to remove battery).

 • BLACKBERRY SOFTWARE now available

 • Matt is right, Sound can't be compared with other phones as this a smart phone, Therefore it has many function the most phones lack of...

 • Dude, The sound quality is good for speaker phone, PLEASE NOTE - this phone is not made for playing MP3s.... you cant compare.

 • hi guys, how is the sound quality of the music player in nokia E60 campared to sony ericsson phones(w800,k750,w810)? How loud is the loud speaker of E60? Thanks

 • I've had my E60 for quite a while now and it has worked perfectly for me. WiFi do come in handy when I'm in places offering free WiFi. It's good for me also since camera's are not allowed in datacenters and I'm the IT Security Operations Manager! I can still bring this brick with me in the datacenter. Browser is great! The screen's magnificent resolution helps a lot in viewing native html. I've never needed using WAP since most of what's in the web is HTML. Sync with my Outlook is perfect. I haven't touched my Palm or my iPaq since this one's doing my contacts, calendar, to do's and even my docs. worked with xls already and it's good enough for me. haven't tried doc and ppt. will probably do once the need arises. Great job with this one Nokia!

 • Hi, I've had this phone over a month....Best phone i've ever owned! Great display. Achi, I believe it does not support Large fond like other nokias... Everything works perfect... If anyone looking for a phone minus the camera, Its nothing other than E60!!!

 • Does anyone know how to get large fonts for contacts and messages?

 • Hey thanks for the quick response. Portuguese from Portugal is similar but not that much. The difference is greater than that of Britsh English vs. American English. But I've just heard that N80 is coming so i'll probably go for it despite the amazing-but-not-so-impressive-as-E60's-screen. LOL.

 • Chuck, My E60 is Western European version, and it has Potugal language, as well as Portugal T9 dictionary.

 • Greetings everyone. I'm in Brazil and Nokia has currently no plans to bring this great phone here. They will, however, bring the E70. Along these lines, i was wondering if it is possible to grab the Brazilian-Portuguese T9 dictionary (and possibly other regional custom features) from some other N-series or E-series phone and upload it to the European E60. Does anyone know the answer! Thnx in advance!

 • Goto Menu | Tools | Settings | Phone | General | Predictive Text change to ON, I believe default is Off.

 • Does anyone know how to get the E60 to type using predictive text? Had loads of Nokia's and can't work it out for my new E60. HELP!!!

 • An Excellent business pone with features that are nothing short of perfection. the only downside is low sound quality, not really helpful when outdoors.

 • @ Wil I understand the need for phones without cameras, but your second point doesn't really apply to THIS one. The E60 is one brick of a phone. When I held it in my hands it was comfortable and quite nice, but still nothing small and compact. Nokia is doing good in realizing that business phones really don't need a camera. Harlekkin

 • this handset is so efficient and the wi-fi syncronization is second to none

 • I am trying to install applications for my E60, even got some gr8 themes specifically for E60 but when trying to install it shows certificate error. Can anyone say whats going on ???

 • another review on E60 ...

 • For those who wonder why anyone would want a phone without a camera... 1. Because some of us work in buildings where cameras are not allowed. Therefore, you can't bring your phone to work. That sucks. 2. For those of us who don't care to take pictures with a phone. 3. For those of use who want the phone to be as small and as light as possible and also fall into category #2. I've been waiting FOREVER for a camera without a phone. Finally! I wish they'd just take the 6233 and remove the camera! That would be the ideal business phone and it would probably only weigh about 85 grams!

 • This fone is gr8. This is the best fone in the market. It is really a leader.

 • if you need your (or any) nokia phone to read chinese , u need after market firmware updated, so under your setting u can choose your menu to be chinese(simp/compl) or english(or whatever language u will need), and also theres another option under that which u can set your default if u want to type in chinese or english)i have done this to lots of my nokia phones and it works perfectly.

 • Hi, I`m from pune India and bought my phone from "alfa" this is a really cool phone but one thing that put me off a little was when the dealer told me that it dosent support stereo headphones. besides, symbian 3rd series apps are a difficult to find. my disc didnt come with any antivirus and am still looking for a free good one.

 • Anyone intrested in the Nokia E60 go to www.mobile-review.com an they have a 2 part review about the E60 an its the only way to find out if the mobile will suite your requirements an it also tells you about the memory problems Nokia trying to get sorted out on the N80 an it firewall problems,Nokias been going for ages an how do they never seem to sort out its software an firewall problems before they release a mobile its unbelievable

 • Hi Jose, Can you E61 & E60 support chinese? my can't read chinese sms? any hepl?

 • Export set is available now, just got it yesterday. I actually had E61, but was looking for another phone for my second. I'm very happy with both of these phones so far. E60 will be more popular becos of its size compare to E61, although E60 is still bigger than a normal bar phone. But then having a big screen, should not compromise for a small keypad, therefore nokia give it a decent size keypad. Highly recommended phones.

 • If your having problems with battery life try changing the phone from Dual mode(GSM/WCDMA) to GSM only. Go to Menu/tools/settings/network and switch from Dual Mode to GSM only. I had the 24hr battery life problem too until I changed this setting and now it lasts me 3-4 days.

 • the battery life is good, mine last for 3 full days

 • Very nice phone/BB Replacement. MailforExchange works like a charm but cannot handle Meeting requests. RoadSync works brilliantly but cannot open attachments :(. Solution: Have both on there with MailForExchange to sync only email and not cal/contacts. Though Mailforexchange does not work with Accesspoint groups but I find that a but buggy with multiple access points. Sleek Design and feature packed. If you want the missing Camera and FM Stereo then check out the N80 but it comes with more weight. Battery life of E61 seems better then E60 but thats probably because it has a better battery.. E60 has the traditional nokia battery and the traditional charger unlike the N series and E61

 • Damn, why they had to remove the camera and the FM stereo? The camera is always convenient when u need to take a picture out of the blue. Those who dont like the camera, you dont have to use it. But the idea of a camera phone should always be there.

 • Does anyone has issues with the metallic/tinny voice on E60? Kalin: Good on ya mate, your battery life is excellent. Any tips to share?

 • I think the battery life is good, mine last for 3 full days (36 hours) with normal use (20 minutes calls per day, wifi, 10 sms).

 • NO camera is alright but no Sterio fm Why

 • I just broght the Nokia E60. It is a great phone in many ways with excellent feature, BUT the foundation to carry it all is NOT there!? The battery does not even last 24 hours, even with just a few calls during the day the phone dies during the night. I haven even tried two different batteries with the same result. I think this is a very serious issue, and will get myself another phone that last way longer that this one.

 • I read somewhere that the instant messaging application for this phone can only be used with 3G and not with WLAN. Is this true?

 • No cam - brilliant. Finally a phone without a camera. If you want a camera go and choose one of the other thousands of mobile phones with cameras built in. This is aimed at the business market.

 • no cam!!!....boring!!!

 • After i sold away my N80. I just got this phone yesterday. very happy with it except i cannot write chinese. maybe it got to do with firmware. my firmware is 1.0610.02.15 12-04-06 RM-49 Nokia E60 any one know which firmware support chinese input? many thks .....

 • If your getting an error when you try to install some thing here is what to do: Go to tools/app. manager/options/settings and change software installation from signed only to all. That should fix your problem.

 • My frnd just bought an E60 yesterday and tried installing Themes in it! As it recieves the Message through bluetooth and starts to install the message says cannot support xyz.sis file! How on earth is it possible? Can anyone reply to this problem.

 • 1. yes you can, as long you have internal memory. 2. not sure... never tried but you can save vcard on the memory card and then save it to phone book.

 • Sorry to say but this phone IS kinda slow, but im not surprised. Its packed with functions that use alot of juice so that should not be a problem for most users.

 • The E60 review says there is no limit on the number of contacts can be put in the phone book. I would appreciate if someone answer me these questions: 1,Assuming one phone number per contact, can I put 4000 contacts in the phone book ? 2,Can I put contact in the memory card ? if yes, can I dial from the memory card ? Thanks

 • To Andy about clear email. Try to reply somebody message, in this moment your E60 ask again for password your mailbox. You confirm. Messege will send and Inbox folder will clear every message that you mark as "delet from phone and server".

 • i just get the phone, this phone is realy good... look at the screen and you gonna be amazed... but how about the battery? is really just last for one day? i just make a call and the battery status drop so fast... does anyone has the same problem?

 • SUMMARY: This must be the best and most advance phone out there if you don't need a camera. PROS: * 3G/wifi support * Best LCD screen (Extreme resolution) * Best mobile browser - (Browse regular site) * Form factor, handling & looks * SIP based VOIP support * Blackberry support is coming CONS: * Battery Life (24hr or less when using a lot of wifi)

 • Just bought one E60 and think it's awsome! Does anyone have experience on connecting and syncronizing with a Mac-computer OS 10.4.6? The iSync-software says that it does not support this phone?! I would be very grateful for any comments Henrik

 • available in china now for only US$350, open line with no subscription (just phone which can be used anywhere in the world) this means the phone is already unlocked.

 • The BB Connect is not out yet (6-5-2006). It will be posted here:

 • ...this phone is "da bomb"...i tested one a few days ago...it's...greeeat...it's a phone 4 those who know phones...

 • Am not sure but they are usually 20% more then what you can get them in Dubai for..

 • from but its not out yet

 • where do get blackberry software loaded on E 60? I am in India

 • How much is the price ?!?!? I think it's exactly looks like N80 but without a camera !!! it's worth to buy .

 • I finally figured out how to clear the e-mails in e-mail account. One has to log on the internet either via wifi or GPRS and clear the e-mails in your server or on your server in order for them to clear. One can not delete them from the phone. I don't know why they did it this way. Really odd way of doing things. Why won't they just let you erase or delete them from your e-mail account in your inbox?? The new internet browser is really good though when compared to the older versions. I am quite happy with the new internet browser. Battery life has been average so far. If you use Bluetooth headset with this phone then your battery life won't be getting you very far. I keep an extra battery with me and that helps.

 • Very Good Phone and a Must Buy who ever used 6310i or similar , I used its Sip services its working Fine, I used its internet thats alsofine ...GSM coverage quality is very good, Sound and speaker is good , connectivity with Blue Tooth is Great and what else ,,,,,,, I will wait for world to stop critizing this Phone and use it the way it shoud be .....Stritictly for Business and for People who know Phone is exactly for what purpose......its Phone any way.

 • Mij: Don't expect the phone to be there before first week of July. Cheers!

 • Hi, is there any difference between the E61 and E60 besides the battery capacity (E61 wins), Qwerty Pad (E61) and Screen (E60 wins). Seems like the only advantage that E61 has is the keypad but prices for E61 is higher than E60? Doesnt make sense to me. Is there something im missing?

 • Here is one of the problems that this firmware may have or Bug as you may call it. The Inbox from the e-mails once downloaded can not be deleted from the Inbox folder of the E-mails received. I tried Marking them all and then deleting them and also tried one by one and that did not work either. On the POP3 Server I can receive e-mails but can not send e-mails using GPRS. Finally got GPRS Working today after the technician spent 30 minutes playing with the default settings trying to get them set up properly. We spent nearly 2 hours trying to delete the e-mails received and trying to set up the e-mails for sending but were unable to do so.

 • I just bought this phone in Dubai last night. The phone is great with an awesome screen. A bit slow to start though. Two problems I am having now is that the phone won't go online using GPRS and I can't get the WLAN to work. Any inputs from anyone?? I bought the phone new for 1125 Dhms. Divide by 3.67 and you get the U.S.D. price.

 • a lot of people say that E60 is very slow...is it true? if it is, that's a bad news for me...

 • Just got my E60, it's great! The screen is gorgeous, and the 'shadow' display of the full Web page while you're moving the pointer across the screen while browsing is a remarkable feature. My only niggle is that the manual is printed in tiny, tiny type. If a camera had been included this would be my perfect phone but it's pretty darn good anyway.

 • Hi all, I'am considering to buy this phone, but I am wondering is the mp3-player any good on this one!? Main use for this phone is of course its voice- and other features. Please help!?

 • hi, i m using this fone for last 3 weeks.i live in PAKISTAN. i hav used wifi. the great speed. u can download every thing at speed of 64kbps. every thing is ok. and i love my fone. the great fone of nokia. its browsers are out class. in other words the best fone from nokia thae i can get ever.

 • Hi still waiting for the E60 release in australia been waiting a long time its quite sad that we have to wait so long . not happy jan

 • Does anyone know if you can turn off the GSM capability when using this as a WiFi phone? e.g. to avoid interference with electrical equipment.

 • lancester, i agree with you, a touchscreen would be great (i used a palm 'till the display starts dying now). but for acceptable size and weight phones with ts often lack numeric keys for dialing and i hate touching screens with my butter-fingers :-) therefore i prefere thin phone with full keyboard and a navi-stick. but for me best would be large ts with and for phoning a small number pad ... but thats my very special gusto :-) And to all the guys who insist on an camera: as a business phone the e60 (as the e61 too) is also (mostly?) addressed to companies which will not pay 100-200$ more for a phone to give their employees the ability to shoot holiday pictures... on the other hand, if a camera is needed for business purposes, a separate camera would fulfill this task much better. show me a phone with the business functionality of the e60 WITH a camera for 350 (=ca 450$, that's a price in germany) and i'll buy it.

 • will this phone work in tokyo? and has anyone tried the Wifi? fast?

 • I saw this phone today at Computex Taiwan at the Hitachi Booth. I guess Hitachi is Behind this technology for this phone along with the E70 Nokia. I spent some time playing and testing the phone. The phone seemed very slow and seemed to lag a lot between applications or pages. It seemed to pause for 1-2 seconds before anything opened up. Anyone here with one chime in on response time and it being slow??

 • I will go for E61 due to the QWERTY keyboard and large screen. check out the review for both phone Nokia E61 : Nokia E60 :

 • Ingo, You are deciding between E60 and E61? Well, two of them are like Zebra and Elephant. I meant size wise. When Nokia merges 7710 + E60 = the Ultimate Phone. (Don't know when it will happen). If you didn't get the clue, "Nokia!! Come on, time to add the touch screen".

 • I agree with Matt & Tony. The reason I bought this phone is because it didn't have a camera. As for FM, I downloaded a free symbian s60 3rd edition application that allows me to play Internet Radio and it works great.

 • Why do folks want a camera on their phones? Most can't take hi-quality pics anyways. If you want a camera, go look at other make of phones, Sony Ericsson, for example...

 • quote TONY i could not agree more. Just about every other mobile phone has a camera / fm radio etc. This phone is aimed at the Business market, not for CHAVS or kids. Matt

 • Could it be that some people want a phone that is just a very good phone and nothing but a phone? If I buy an FM radio I don't want or expect a phone to be crudely bolted on. Why this obsession with having loads of poor quality gimmicks added to a phone? Nokia have set out to make the E60 an excellent phone. This is not a phone for kids to show off to their friends - there are plenty of those already

 • I can understand there no camera as it concers buisiness class But NO FM ! Hell can any one explain?

 • Very nice phone, 16M color , big screen , Wifi, also Symbian phone..but , realy ,realy , we miss a Camera..again nokia , dont do phone with full option!!

 • Sorry Niyaz for the delayed reply, I got the E60 in Dubai, Al Sabaka Road in Naif from Zabeel Moon Trading Tel +971 4 2237673. Make sure you request 1 year warranty with it. Enjoy!! Asif

 • I bought E60 Nokia Dubai Emirates, i see In mobile E60 nokia very excellent perpect Well, i glad ,i am miss want In Camera Fm E60 nokia , i am dream Magic Camera Fm Radio, Shape E60 Nokia Beauty , thankyou good very much Take care....... Bye good

 • Camera No

 • Hello there. It's a 3G phone or nor? Where can I find the camera for 3G?

 • hi guys, someone said, nokia plans an update on august? realy? can anyone say what this update will include? I try to find a descision whether to buy E60 or E61... The joystick in the E60 seems to be much more accurate and the size is more suitable for everyday life. But even if the screen has a higher resolution i don't think its large enough for browsing, viewing documents like pdf etc. Has anyone experience with those office funtionality with the E60? The screen of the E61 seems to fulfill those tasks a bit better..

 • Hey guys this is my first post on gsmarena.. First i just want to thank you guys for all the posts you have put on here.. they really helped me in purchasing wonderful fones i have used and liked. I am a fone freak..lol this year i have used.. Nokia 6270,6280,3250,Samsung D800, W800i, N70,N90,and now E60.. i have loved them all but the best is E60.. wow this fone is great. i mean Jesus its got everything i need note "need" not "want"... someone said something about the bluetooth being v1.2 agreed but i assure you the speed is awesome.. u wont notice the difference that i can promise you.. i dont know what else to say but if you want a fone that you will be satisfied with without a camera. go for the E60

 • I just spoke to Vodafone (Retail) and they should have the phone in 30JUN06. The agent said it looked like the price would be good, free upgrade on the mid-range call plans like 200 xnet.

 • How UMTS will works if nokia dosen't have camera???? heh

 • Hi, I too would like to know where u bought E60 for 1150dhs. I would be buyin this phone the next minute u tell the address.

 • Great phone, features but having difficulty setting up VOIP. I got my phone from Dubai for amazing 167.00 (1,150.00 Dihrams)

 • This phone is perfect upgrade for my 6330i. The only things which bothers me is Bluetooth 1.2 - I waqs really hoping to see 2.0 as that could help me with consumption when using external GPS module. Unless Nokia will announce upgrade model until August this year I will probably go for this one.

 • a very nice phone i liked it

 • Is there any other casing colour except this ugly silvery? If not right now, maybe in future?

 • Here i am SE Fan, posting about phone that almost got me to switch to almighty Nokia. The phone with unbelievable 16M TFT screen yet Nokia loves to stub back with small thing like Bluetooth v1.2-wtf N70, 6280, 6111 and other models that been out on the market for a while now have v2.0 with A2DP.

 • For Dewd:buy 6280 if you need a camera,and if you don't buy E60...N80 has problems fith software as all N Nokias...I have curently 6280 and E60,and i had N80 for some time,and i didn't like it...Too many bugs...

 • terrific phone but for those loving touch screens the 7710 model although lacking the wlan connectivity will be loved

 • Neat design and functionality, no sliding or flapping. Those are two basic quality I need. A phone and a camera are two distinct devices, each can work more perfectly when they are apart.

 • Great phone! can anybody tell me if there is going to be a nokia touch screen in the future & when??

 • Been looking for a phone with NO CAM. This would suit me. However, a good pointer by a colleague, a CAM is useful at work for taking notes (on discussion board). For me, I would rather use that 3.2mpix 2 year old digital cam I had. Always have a phobia that my wife would ask,"Please Video Conference to show me who you are with and where you are?" !!! Deciding on E60, N80 or 6280. Regards.

 • Matt, Can you explain wat www.pbxes.com does and why we need....i saw the link u posted for voip but i still dont get how to set it up. Thanks

 • Hi Hope that someone can help me on this. While configuring my email accounts in the "messaging" option, I have created some excess email accounts. Is there any way to delete them. Please help as these are 6 in number and very irritating.

 • QUOTE Matt, Hi. I just got my E61...i have figured out a few things here and there but i still havent figured out how to set up the voip function. your last post said to register on pbxes.com and ur good to go....i dont understand wat that means...a little more detail would help greatly. thanks.. look at this link - i have shown a full setup instruction for the world... Have fun. Matt

 • bought the phone here in the U.S. from importgsm.com (great guys) but i cant check my gmail account or get online. I NEED HELP. T mobile is my carrier.

 • BlackBerry conectivity- nothing better, because BB palms are so uglies T_T...

 • Matt, Hi. I just got my E61...i have figured out a few things here and there but i still havent figured out how to set up the voip function. your last post said to register on pbxes.com and ur good to go....i dont understand wat that means...a little more detail would help greatly. thanks..

 • @ David. The "Talking Ringtone" is an option where the callers name (thats stored in the phone book) plays within the ringtone too. I.E. "Ring ring DAD ring ring", a useful option if your away from the phone, in a different room, you'll know wheather to run and answer it or ignore it lol. www.MobileReserve.com

 • Got mine - it is a fenomenal phone. It was worth waiting for it. But - everytime I try to upload some applications, it sais something about Unsupported application. How do I install any appz, without the phone, bugging me about this?

 • Iquote 'Can you tell us more about pbxes VOIP on E60?Can you use it to call any mobile number anywhere in the world(just like skype out) or it's just between VOIP users? Thanks' I have two accounts - 1 with sipgate.co.uk and 1 with pbxes. Whilst sitting at home using my Nokia E60 via my Wifi at home it connects to the pbxes.org profile i have setup in the Nokia E60 which in turn connects to my Sipgate.co.uk account which i set up on the PBXes website. So i can call any number in the world from my Nokia E60 via Wlan. Matt

 • Can you tell us more about pbxes VOIP on E60?Can you use it to call any mobile number anywhere in the world(just like skype out) or it's just between VOIP users? Thanks.

 • I just don't understand the real meaning of Talking ringtone so can anyone tell me is it same as the normal MP3 or something else !??

 • quote Michael Alculumbre VOIP works, you need to goto www.pbxes.org and register with them. Then enter your current SIP details and bingo. I am using VOIP when near WiFi Matt

 • bought mine from www.plemix.com a week ago. shipped from hong kong, but when it arrived (btw. the next day i placed the order, praises to plemix) I was pleasantly surprised - the handset turned out to have been made in Finland (not made by nokia). Anyway, a great phone with near perfect build quality (although it feels very rock solid, the front and the back panels don't match in size). Some pros: - Feels rock solid (Unlike the Nokia 6270 I happened to own fro a few weeks, which felt as it was about to fall apart). - Good battery life (appr. 3 days with average usage and 1.5 hr charge time) - Good sound quality (quite loud but not as "full" as with the Nokia 6270). - Bright high-res screen with the rotate feature (no "grains" at all but a bit smaller than I would ideally would like to see on it). - The old same Nokia charger. - Plenty of the internal memory (about 65-70 MB). - Comfortable keypad with larger than average keys. - The new 3d generation Symbian S60 OS is much faster than its predecessor (I got to use the Nokia N70 and it was so super laggy). - Very precise joystick. - No camera, which I never use anyway. I have a Sony 7MP camera and don't need it on a cellphone. IMHO, regardless how many MPs your camera on your cellphone is, in no way can the quality of pictures be compared to those shot with a real digital camera. What's the point of having some mediocre quality shots stored on your phone? - Great sound quality. And some cons: - No preinstalled themes, wallpapers, other apps. - no nothing. - If you choose your own image as a wallpaper, it will not stretch to the full screen regardless of the resolution of the image. This is a bug that Nokia needs to address. - No software available for Nokia N60 on the internet yet (i was looking for some more new themes and dictionaries and couldn't find anything). - It doesn't come with a memory card. Internal memory only. And Nokia used a new memory format. There is a need for a standard memory type, especially for business-oriented devices. - No keypad autlock. You can use the "autolock period", but you'll need to enter your code every time to unlock the keypad. - Accessoires are hard to find. Still can not find a carrying case. - Design - too rectangular. I think the next phone I'll buy will be the just announce Nokia E50. - Due to the high resolution of the screen, the clock while idle is not readable. Hope I didn't miss anything and this will help you make a more informed decision :). Best of luck.

 • 3G doesent mean that it needs to have camera...It is just bether protocol, faster with more options, like video streaming....but also suports video call... And can anyone tell me where to download some theme, because standart one is UGLY...thanks

 • Hola! From what i've understood it's a 3G phone... still i really can't find any camera... or am I wrong?

 • Can any one tell me a site from where I can download decent games and applications. This phone is a treat to have.

 • Top of the line, state of the art...The best of the best....I god mine 2 day ago,and I cannot be more happy...

 • Can you use the WLAN to acess the internet if your in a hotspot? Thnx

 • I cannot get the VoIP SIP to register and therefore cannot make any VoIP calls. I have not been able to find anybody at Nokia to help me with this. Has anybody got their E60 to make VoIP calls? If so pleae tell me how you did it

 • If you goto www.pbxes.org then scroll to the bottom of the page, you will see on the bottom left the language choice. Have fun

 • Blackberry software / upgrade for existing E60 handsets has not been released. Mid to end of June when software will be released as an .sis file.

 • Can anyone tell me how do we activate the blackberry option. The black berry provider who is my service provider says it is only possible on black berry devices! Any help will be greatly apprieciated.

 • hi from australia ,here we are still waiting for e60 nokia australia dont even have a release date . hope u guys in europe and other countries are enjoying the E60 . :(

 • If you go to pbxes.com and click on "create your account" (right-top corner of browser window), the first select box allows you to change language.

 • Matt, could you please tell on how does a PBX work with this phone? A site is totally in German.. :(

 • I am from Bulgaria. Here Nokia E60 cost 408 euro free sim and 380 euro with SIM. (the price is with VAT - in stories).

 • VOIP working. use PBXes.org Works a treat.

 • QUOTE: in Bulgaria it cost 360 euro. Dude, with or w/o VAT? and where can someone get it for EUR 360 in Bulgaria?

 • How's the battery 'cause with a 16M colour screen and a sucky battery (the same they use in a Nokia 1100).. How many days can it function when u use it frequently? Greetz, sam

 • I've just ordered my E60 from (a UK site), should be delivered some time today. I don't know why there aren't more people interested in this model, it's almost identical to the N80 spec apart from the lack of Camera. I personally think it looks better and there is less to go wrong (no moving parts).

 • The phone is available in the Netherlands @ www.Algebeld.nl. They have a lot of phones in stock!

 • Bought my E60 here in Thailand on 12th May, for 16,490 Baht (= 338 Euro). Only disappointment so far is that not much software for S60 3rd Edition is available yet. Otherwise a great phone - love the display resolution!

 • Somebody say:"In The Netherlands it's available from week 20" I am asking: where in The Netherlands? Nokia e-mailed me that it won't be available before end of this month.

 • Phone available in Slovenia for 438. Will wait for my operator, so that he will offer it by 250 :) I expect this to happen in the end of May. Read you later....

 • Absolutely great phone in theory. I have been waiting for it for a few months. But I was very disappointed when I have seen it in reality. Very bulky, very heavy, very ugly and seemingly uncomfortable to carry around. I hope I will be able to buy the much nicer but more expensive N80. Or, why not the 6280, kind of N80 with no symbian and no wlan. No delays, no wlan coverage problems...

 • I just bought my wn nokia e60 from www.dm.ro Romania. This is truely a smartphone. You can connect to internet and browse websites as on your own laptop through a hotspot or 3g, or gprs. You can even modify excel and word documents. I love this phone. Incredible reslution, and the 19 milion colors do the job. Incredible price here also, only 420-430 euro. Unfortunately its to new and there is not to much sftware to download for it. Very nice phone, great finishings.

 • PLEASE NOTE There is no VOIP available for the E60 yet. I have bought one and am now stuck with a nice phone that doesnt do what it says on the tin ! Beware.

 • in Bulgaria it cost 360 euro.

 • Its nice to see nokia have released it overseas , be nice to one day get it here in Australia :( come on guys can only wait so long . A couple of sony ericsson,s are looking possible

 • pure; simple; mere; unmixed; stark = beautiful business phone!

 • phone available look on ebay uk i have it for 275 pounds starting bid,i am not a scammer its real, thanks for looking george

 • Ive seen E60 in a store, feels really nice. Price was 408.

 • Only initially I guess.. once they release firmware it should be quick, I am pretty sure new firmware wont be out until E70 is out which is sometime late may. I am expecting first firmware sometime late may to june.. it should be solved in that

 • In the description of N80 I noticed that it doesn't have a VoIP but does have a UMA (Unlicensed Mobile Access), which seems to even be possible to make VoIP calls at any hotspot, so does it mean that this is a disadvantage of E60 comparing to N80 as here we also read that VoIP works for N80 but not on E60?! Thanks!

 • To Mob: At this point we arent sure why it doesn't work. I did not say it does work for sure with N80, its hit/miss - more of miss. Its just right now the way cellphone companies have their software setup... isnt really compatible with current firmware of these phones. Next firmware I think it should be more available

 • Could you exlain me why the VOIP doesn't work now on the E60 but works with the N80? What is the problem exactly? I would be delighted to have more of your comments on this point.

 • VOIP is not really gonna work rt now, perhaps in the next firmware release it will. They are still working out the deals. I have had people getting their VOIP work on N80s which is pretty much the same. But its more like a hit or miss. More of miss if you ask me!

 • phone available look on ebay uk i have it for 275 pounds starting bid,i am not a scammer its real, thanks for looking george.

 • Could anybody please explain, how does the VoIP works on this phone and if there's a need of special aditional software? I just talked to the local Nokia support center and they told that I need a special software on my PC which enables those calls, and then I connect with my phone to it. Nokia also told that it won't be possible to use it on a street while using a public Wi-Fi network- is that correct?! I guess, many things are stil unclear as phone has just appeared on market.. P.S. Any ideas if the time comes and Skype releases a Symbian supported version, would it work on this phone?

 • Mobile Nokia E60 One 1 years Warranty, price Dhs:1650/= After 1 month Less Price Maybe 1500/= and To 1200/= Ok Emirate Dubai Fine said less price 1 month 1-6-2006

 • phone available in Portugal:

 • E70 has been delayed, I am a member of Forum Nokia - and they sent a message to us developer sayings its delayed until later this year. That being said, Gsmarena.com - will not change the status of the phone unless one of their sponsors/vendors gets a phone in stock - until then its not available for em. Fine by me actually. E60 is available for sale in european countries for 400 EUR which is decent consdering what you get for this phone No SIP clients are working as of right now, wait until nokia comes out with a firmware update, with the current firmware sip is a hit or miss.. ok more of a miss than hit.

 • you can check this site under nokia's web page : it shows that E 60 , E 61 and N 71 are now available (the "coming soon" sign was taken off , that means it's available in europe ) and GSMarena is still saying that these 3 phones are not released, maybe because there arent any websites that has this phone for sale,so they didnt consider that the phone is released, but at least they should mention this under the specification...i hope the E 70 will be also available soon... it's the best phone from the E series... 2 MP cam and VOIP together, this is great

 • hey, who's got the phone and tried out VOIP connection by WLAN? looking for phone that combines GSM AND WLAN/VOIP connections (only one phone to carry around...) thanks for input D.

 • I've looked in the new online UK shop and it's not there. Where have you seen this phone available? Thanks in advance.

 • THE phone is available on the nokia europe site!!!!!!!! yo gsmarena, wake up

 • M600 has no wifi ?

 • You not angry and sad, Not Good E60 nokia. E60 Nokia is mad,, Won excellent Perect M600,************** Frist 1-N0. King M600 Sony Ericcson Big Screen Lcd size 240 x 320 pixels,,,,,,, Second 2-N0. E60 Nokia small Screen Lcd size 352 x 416 pixels,

 • actually I have this phone. It's nice, but few more things that bother me: 1. small internal memory and no included memory card. 2. no repeating alarm - have to set alarm every time (all new Nokias have this software minus) Otherwise it's quite handy... lots of office features!!!

 • The reason I asked about camera is that this phone supports 3G and the main point of 3G is to have a videocall. Yes, 3G also is good for data transfer but as this is a quite expensive and big phone it would not have been too difficult to add a little camera for videocalls...

 • We arabian and Asian watch happy Coolest yes Arrivel shopping Dubai U.A.E, Arribel yes New Nokia E60 Dhs:1900/= To Dhs:1500/=

 • OK, the phone has been released in some countries. Like Finland, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark. For those countries which are closer to Europe. I am guessing its made in Germany, so its easier and faster to distribute in Europe itself. That being said, the price is gonna be around 400 E, or 550 USD (people who are waiting in North America to get it imported) Reviews are good, ppl really like it, the ones who have. I think status changes when any of the affiliated seller (for gsm arena) store gets that phone in stock...

 • This phone is already available in Chech Republic,Norway etc.Change its status, please!

 • In nokia site : 'planned for 1st quarter of 2006' and we passed the 1st quarter! But at all,an excellent phone! Excellent Feature: No CAMERA! I hope other manufacturer make phones without camera but all other features. I'm still waiting to buy it!

 • Nokia now has released N series of phones what about E60 phone . Its been relesed on Asia Pacific web site what about here in Australia .I want it cos it doesnt have a stinking camera ,some of us have camera,s to take photo,s not phones .

 • I agree with you(below) I bought a Fujifilm finepix Z1. Wonderful! Because it's a CAMERA. I hope I'll get my PHONE(E60) within two weeks.(Holland)

 • My opinion: If you want to have a camera, buy Canon IXUS 700. I really love to have HI resolution and HI detailed photo. No phona camera can't compare. So I will buy a phone without a camera, because it just makes sense. Photos, taken with phones are all messed up.

 • quote post below 3G phone and no camera? unquote yes, NO CAMERA. Some people dont require cameras. This is aimed at the business market.

 • 3G phone and no camera?

 • Have you had a play with it then &the phone ;-)

 • Just bought mine @ 400. This phone came out yesterday in Finland.

 • Q U O T E You shoudlnt go back to that shop again tho, Nokia UK customer service department themselves confirmed that this phone has been released.. according to webpages, it has been... so tell that shop owner to f off UNQUOTE ???? shop.nokia is the new Nokia online webshop IE: NOKIA OWNS AND RUNS IT !

 • Hi more chance of England winning world cup than E60 being released .:) But not the Ashes Go Aussie Go

 • You shoudlnt go back to that shop again tho, Nokia UK customer service department themselves confirmed that this phone has been released.. according to webpages, it has been... so tell that shop owner to f off

 • Just spoke to Shop.Nokia in the UK. They are NOT selling these today and have no idea on a release date.

 • Dubai U.A.E is Long time Un-Arrivell E60 Nokia is Mad yeach , Why long time ? Oct To April little May 2006

 • Good product, that's exactly a mobile phone, pls kindly tell me when E60 available in asia, as I know/ around end of april 06. Go Nokia!

 • by the time importers get in US it will be around 550 USD

 • Nokia E60 Vs M600 Sony Ericsson, i think Equel same, E60 NO is touch ,, Yes is WLAN M600 Yes is Touch ,, No is WLAN , NO are Fm Radio E60 and M600

 • its 400 euro here in germany

 • At a guess, I'd say around the USD$500 mark.

 • To the person below: You gave a good advice, I love when people give their honest opinions and they actually make sense =) Device is released, I was the one who posted the Nokia Email messsage, so its just a matter of time when it hits the shelves. Someone here said end of next week (I believe em) Next thing is that if you goto Nokia Singapore website - they dont even have E60 AND E70 listed on their website cuz they won't be selling those two from normal channels, only thru special agents. E61 however is available thru normal retailers

 • To the person below me; it depends on what you want really. Personally, I think the E60 is slightly better as it's smaller, lighter, as UMTS (3G), better resolution (16M colors), has a vibrate function, uses (and comes bundled with) RS-MMC card, perorms VoIP and has more Wi-Fi options (802.11i/e [b], as well as g). It uses the ever-popular Series 60 UI along with Symbian OS 9.1 and offers Blackberry connect. The advantages if the 9300i are the full QWERTY thumb-board, slightly better battery life and the ability to run MS Office applications. At the end of the day, it comes down to personal use and as said by many people, many a time; you should have a reason to want a particular function on a phone -don't just go out and get the one with the bigger specifications if you're not gonna use 'em!

 • Dear Sir/Madam Thank you for contacting Nokia Helpline. With regard to your email enquiry the E60 has been released. Please note that we do not sell any handsets or accessories directly to the end-user. To purchase Nokia products please contact your local mobile phone retailers. Please don't hesitate to contact us again if you have any further questions. With best regards UK & Ireland Team Nokia Helpline

 • hi all, i work for nokia in the uk and i can confirm we have this phone available on 24th April. i have also been advised we will be the 1st to stock in the uk. let me no any q's

 • asian release is on the way, so maybe they are launching it together in asia and europe!

 • Nokia.Com allready includes E60 on their wellcome screen (Europe Regional Site, ofcourse). E60 will not include a camera. But I like it, becouse it's the thinest Nokia smartphone ever.

 • i recieved an email from nokia saying that the phone is available in the asian market

 • now this is an amazing phone, i'd buy it, it has everything. except........ a camera. bring it out with everything its got + a 2MP camera (at the least) and i'll upgrade to it in November from my K750i (which btw i a gd phone). If anyone has any info on this phone comin out with a camera (2MP at the least) email me: [email protected]

 • Superb!

 • The phone will be shipping soon, on the europe regional site it does not say "coming soon" anymore, support pages are up, everything seems ready to go for this one

 • this will be a good phone for people who work for companies that restricts cameraphones. :D

 • Is that resolution specified correct? (352x416)

 • Intey, I am sure what you are saying. Nokia did fix the problem or they didnt? Yes the phones were delayed in march due to software issues. I am pretty sure the phones will be released in end of april and would be available to most of us in mid-may :)

 • I recieved an info about Eseries: It will not be out in april due to still some software problems, but they fixed that (about time). But is it going to be released in May or not, since Nokia rescheduled the release date for so many times since new year. Really, I'm waiting for E60 since new year - common, my 7210 is all messed up. Go Nokia!

 • Is unlocked version going to work in US? I am with Cingular and I think they are on GSM1900.

 • Phone will be out soon I think, Nokia already have support pages up for it on the Nokia europe website...

 • finnliy,nokia,when will be on market?this is phone,we needed,not camera!!!!!

 • it's slim, stylish and good looking.even thou it has no camera the display at this very high resolution leads me to the conclusion that will not be cheap.

 • Black edition?

 • How much longer do we we have to wait Nokia,Im sick of my sony ericcson that I have to continuely charge every second day . I work for holdens in aust. and we cant have camera phones and this looks like a great one . Come on nokia come on come on :)

 • what is the price? since it has no camera build in it i hope it's cheap. may i know the sound channel for it? 40poly channel etc? thank you

 • Come on Nokia! Why the delay in shipping this phone? No explanation - this shows you don't care a great deal for your customers. Stella

 • Unfortunately, Nokia don't seem to care much about keeping their customers informed of revised release dates of eagerly awaited new models. If you visit their UK website www.nokia.co.uk they are still maintaining that this phome will be shipped in the first quarter of 2006. But as we are now in the second quarter how can this possibly be true? They have got to start thinking about their customers, not about their inflated salaries. Tony

 • What Long time Octber To April 2006, Why Coming soon ? Long time Oct To April

 • Does anyone know if the software of the E-series been altered since the prototype versions so that you can zoom-out on a web page to get an overview of the whole thing rather that having to scroll down, or more annoyingly scroll right?

 • Yey, MAY is what I was told.

 • I"ve spoke yesterday with people who sell Nokia and as far as they know E60 comes in may...

 • To 'Nick', it seems you relate 3G to being able to make video calls? Many people make this connection/assumption, but 3G is about more than that -it's increased network data speeds. A bit like moving from dial-up (GPRS) to a low speed broadband (3G); just wait for HSCSD...that's when mobile technology will really move on!

 • And do you know what really pisses me off? When I finally can buy a nokia E60 (probably mid june 2006) the firmware will be so buggy that I have to wait untill the beginning of january 2007 for the phone to operate as promised!! I now own a 6230i which still has software issues with the extended headphones......

 • Don't Nokia realise how annoying it is for their customers to be promised a launch date for a key product, then for that date to come and go without any explanation? It is at the same time inconsiderate, rude, and APPALLING marketing. Haven't they got the commonsense to put themselves in the position of potential buyers and ask themselves "How would I feel to be messed about like this?" Their marketing department is either smug and complacement or totally ignorant of how desperate some customers are for a great phone without any of the tacky add ons - camera, mp3 player, FM radio - that plague the mobile market these days. NOKIA - the first quarter of 2006 has now ended - check a calendar if you don't believe me! Think of your customers - not your lunch break!

 • Just spoke to Nokia Australia - NO RELEASE DATE YET !!! I am getting sick of waiting. This is ridiculous!

 • A 3G phone without a front camera for video calls? I'm sorry thats just lousy!

 • Two days ago I've tested this phone. What can I say, this phone is for buisnes, thats why it doesn't have camera. In general, quite good phone...

 • Quote : " If you want a camera phone designed for Japanese teenage girls, there are dozens to choose from, but the E60 is the only 3g phone I know of without a camera " ... I will buy E60 because it has NO CAMERA. I have a Sony CyberShot T7 Digital camera and I don't need a camera-phone. Is there any info about E60 approximated price ?

 • Just remember the SE M600 does not have Wifi and VOIP capability.

 • E70 delayed 32 days E60 so far due within 24 hours

 • Some one, please tell me about WLAN facility in this phone. Is it only to link the phone to a EPABX system or can it be used for making international calls through is set up with a internet connected Wifi hotspot ???? Can i link this phone to any of the Voip servers like www.voipbuster.com, www.voipstunt.com, www.voipdiscount.com ????? One more question to the person who is going to answer my queries Can i link the phone to the logitech bluetooth headphones -"Logitech Wireless Headphones for MP3" , so that i can lister to the music played in the mediaplayer and virtual radio on this phone ?

 • dear dear!!! i m tired to see its pictures...now i wana take it....bcoz it have a glorious look!that every one,s need!so come down Nokia give it in markete,,,we r waiting for this fone!!!wow.........

 • Yes, that's what makes this phone so appealing to a lot of people.

 • no camera!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 • Nokia has kept us waiting far too long and I am considering waiting for SE M600 which suits me better, looks better with black and will be cheaper- pity E60.

 • Nokia!! By dragging your feet with the release of this phone you have now lost me to Sony Ericsson. I am now waiting til Q2 of 2006 for the Se K800. Wot a phone!!

 • E60 Nokia , Do Show Screen savers : Digial Clock, Animated, User Defined Text ?? Yes or No

 • Blackberry?! WTF is blackberry?

 • COUNTDOWN:32 DAYS to the end of 1Q 2006 - nokia you promised, please deliver and remember to release it in Nigeria AT ONCE

 • Out of the 6 phones I have owned, the middle 4 are Nokia's, so I was a great fan of Nokia before. Before I saw SE M600, I thought E60 & E61 is the perfect business / working phone for people who are not allowed to bring cameras into companies. Go take a look at SE M600, although some people says it looks like calculator, but it has all that is needed, especially touch screen which is missing in E61 & E60.

 • Please can someone who was at the 3G world congress -tell us more about the firmware and general performance of E60? pleeaaase!!!

 • Yea man! we have been waiting for this "his excellency" so much to wait for - Nokia it must be this quarter.

 • E60 is Excellent wow too much best , i sad worry yeach yes beacuse Can you have in E60 Screensavers Show : 1= Animated, 2= Analog/ 3=Digital clock, and 4=User defined text ????????? (((((( YES ))))) OR ((((( No)))))) Replay email me , [email protected]

 • I've been waiting for the E60 because it is a business phone, without a camera. If you want a camera phone designed for Japanese teenage girls, there are dozens to choose from, but the E60 is the only 3g phone I know of without a camera. This is important to me because many of the places I go on business do not allow cameras.

 • Help - have lost my instruction book and need to lock the keypad. Instructions please. Thanks.

 • Hahahaha , Why you People person worry Radio in never E60? you not worry people , - E60 excellent is bussiness yeS Fm radio = E60 yes in Cable Radio model + ( Radio Headset HS-2R )

 • COUNTDOWN: 28 DAYS to the end of 1Q 2006 -Why don't we wait and see what nokia has put together - if it does not meet your needs then you go for something else - every phone is made to address some segments of the market not to satisfy everyone.

 • FCC approval!!!!! Yay. We should be seeing this soon

 • i Think Dream magice best yes E60 in Camera excellent E60, said Equel Same N80 E60 VS N80 beacuse E60 Not camera live ,,,, N80 winning won laught Oh oh

 • All you people complaining that it doesn't have a radio, I have a 6600 and listen to the radio all day over the GPRS connection. With this phone you have even more connection possibilities. If you want to try it, get the free download from Virgin radio and start with that.. The waiting for this phone is almost too much to bear :))

 • being light does not necessarily mean poor quality - otherwise we could say that aircrafts are of low quality since they use metals that will enhance air mobility - lightness is now the in thingand it is a plus for E60 - BUT WHATEVER BE THE MINUS LET IT APPEAR ON THE SHELF

 • COUNTDOWN:43 days to the end of 1st quarter 2006 - Nokia promised it will be available thia quarter and we are patiently wetting and waiting - we want it just as stated - THERE IS NOTHING MORE TO ADD - love it or leave it the phone is the best

 • Well, i change my opinion after seeing the test phone. The simple design makes a phone with this size looks bulky. And it's too light, makes the impression it's made of low class material. And the 2 light bars along the keypad make it hard to type. Why Nokia won't put more efforts to the design? i don't mind it doesn't have camera but i do mind about the look and feel of the phone. Absolutely i won't get this one.

 • Saw somewhere in the Web and also in my previous msg, it is around USD300. Hope it can be cheaper.

 • this phone rellay UGLY. Design Normal, Not CREATIVE!!!

 • Great phone, Symbian 9, wifi, 3g. Think i'll go for it. It would be perfect for me if it supports radio..

 • how much memory we can upgrade in this phone? I think 512 mb should be there.

 • i tink its such a waste without a camera. it would be perfect u know, if theres a camera equipped. then it will be the smallest & lighest phone equipped with WLAN, and a camera. btw, great design...FINALLY

 • Thanks God Nokia has done it i deliberately wanted a phone wihtout camera but with memory slot, because i already have spended much money on a digital camera and enjoying my photos.

 • Great phone. I am pretty sure I am going for it. I have always used Nokia phones and they are just getting better and better. Right now I am with 6021 and the reason I bought it was that it HAS NO CAMERA. I am allowed at work to have a cameraphone, but my opinion is that you never should keep all the eggs in one basket. What if you drop your new amazing camera-MP3-FMradio-3DgamingConsole-phone and it eventually breaks into peaces? Then it's all gone - the camera, the MP3 player, the FM radio, the console, and of course, the phone. I remember, when I asked for the 6021 in the store, the clerk looked at me with a strange expression on his face. "6021?" he said, "Why would you want that? It has no camera - look, 6020 is just the same, but it has one". "Well", I said, "I am glad that you offer me the 6020, but I want the 6021 - for instance, it has bluetooth". "Oh," he said, "the 6020 has bluetooth too". Then I asked him to show me how the bluetooth of the 6020 works and since he did not manage to find it, he called his colleague, they started searching in the User Guide, and then in the web, and alas, he came, and told me, that, hm, well, it appears that the 6020 has no bluetooth, but not to worry, there appears to be some way it can be added. It would much easier for him if he just gave me the 6021 in the first place, but he was one of those people, who do not imagine that anyone might ever want a phone without a camera. You may say, that having a phone with a camera is something sacred for them, something they keep in their hearts as a family legacy. Yes, I know that's silly. As far as I remember, phones with cameras are around for what - 5 years?!? I am pretty sure that when I ask for the E60, the reaction will be just the same "Why do you want that?", he would tell, "look at these models that start with N". Maybe this time I should be more rude, and should shout out "Just gimme the f*ckin E60 and shutup, will ya?!"

 • I'm a BUSSINESS woman not a PHOTOGRAPHER. Thatnk you for finally making a phone that is a PHONE.

 • COUNTDOWN - Available within 50 days - so says Nokia - I can't just to have this great contraption - hoping that the features are bam with good battery life and no trip offs

 • COUNTDOWN -51 DAYS TO GO [Nokia states Available 1Q 2006] but the fear of SE M600 is the beginning of wisdom - Nokia be aware

 • Nokia Info 18 Days untill LAUNCH

 • COUNTDOWN - 52 days to end of 1st quarter 2006 - Nokia are you there? SE is on your heels with M600 - come on release this phone now or ....

 • Grant, I did take a look at the N92 and you are right, it does satisfy all my requirements! yyyeeeaaahhhh!!! However, it's tri-band with 900/1800/1900 Mhz! What about North America with 850Mhz? Will they have one for US? When is it coming out?

 • 53 days to end of 1st quarter - the countdown just begun but SE have just announced a great phone M600 a 3G phone that is a complete competitor to E60 and E61-QWERTY, touchscreen, e.t.c. We may have to go for it we can wait forever for Nokia

 • cool...with 16 million megapixel, but no camera....very bad!

 • nokia web site plans the phone to be available 1st quarter 2006 - sorry about the wrong info earlier posted. So watch out 4 d best lovely fon ever designed

 • Dino ur right but you must be talking of Nokia N92 - it satisfies all ur desired features or the N-series - clamshell, radio camera e.t.c. The E-series are designed to suit simple but matured taste -no regrets.

 • Too bad no FM Radio! :( Otherwise great features!!! Wish they made a clam shell E-series too! Nokia get to work!

 • Nokia website states that this fun will be available 2nd quarter 2006 - so its gonna be a real long wait especially 4 does of us that need it to replace our aging nokia models - so goodnite

 • This status "coming soon" makes my heart sink a bit -I have been yearning for this fun since Nov 2005 and the waiting is getting agonizing -Nokia how much longer can we wait?

 • I have been waiting for a phone to replace my beloved 6100, (in my opinion the best nokia yet). It makes calls, texts, I can browse when I need to and all in a small package. Is this the phone to replace it? although it is somewhat larger I like the look. When is it available in the UK

 • Business features that should be in such e-phones:(1)Synchronization by first and last names.(2)In addition, finding names by searching phone numbers.(3)Increas Battery'standby time to 2000 mAmps to overcome the networks defects and low efficencies reasons.(4)The phone frame should be solid enough.(5)Huge internal memory other than using external slot cards.(6)No games.(7)Daily Calendar events, and their times should always be shown on the screen with timely peeps till the user stop or delete them.(8)Keep the annual events stored in the Phone Calendar's memory such as Birthdays, special occasions to the user as long as he needs them stored, the phone should move or copy them automativally to the new Calendar.(9)Minimize the lenght of the phone and increase the number of characters / digits written per line.

 • 3 megapixel camera for enterprise device? you should see it soon, it goes mainstream this year. But, bear in mind, advanced camera features is particularly for Nseries multimedia devce first. For enterprise section, camera is not always necessary.

 • I just wanna say that I am from a little group of people who need phone without camera. And the reason? Because some people (including me) work in the development department of some company, where are cameras forbidden. So show me some good phone with advanced features but without camera. IMHO this is only one I know.

 • An E60i with 3MP camera? well it is possible but will it still pack all the functions of E60? I doubt it and you have a long wait in your hands maybe 1Q 2007.In E60 there is nothing more to add - E60 still reigns.

 • very very evry nice, but how about a nokia e60i black version with 3 mp camera then we are talking business : )

 • "Rares" this means YOU CANNOT TAKE PICTURES WITH THIS FUN. This phone is the ultimate, we love it, we need it, maybe you wait for the camera version - then it will make some meaning -you might as well begin to save for it too -Regards

 • I have a question.... You said that e60 has 3G but you also said that it has no camera. How can a phone have 3G when it has no camera???Please help me understanding it

 • yep, i've been waiting for this one ever since I saw it posted here, exactly what I was looking for, very nice looks, everything in terms of features and no camera ... i've been looking for such a camera-less phone for a long time, built-in cameras are no match even for cheap p&s cameras, not to mention my DSLR which I take every time I want to take pictures

 • well we need some fresh air from 1MP, 2MP, 3MP etc but the most annoying is this long wait - let Nokia know that we will sue them if this is cancelled.

 • I'm still not getting it. Why did nokia produce there first mobile phone with 16 million colors when no CAMERA??? Dam, that gets me on my nervs....!!!! grrrrr

 • Nokia while we wait please remember to add a carrying soft pouch like in nokia 7200 to protect this beauty and release it first in "the land of the happiest people" = NIGERIA.

 • Hello John what u saw at www.66mobile is E61 and NOT E60 - trust me and be sure next time

 • A new week with a renewed hope that this fun - "The Ultimate" will be made available - we have been waiting and wetting - d more I wet d more I luv this beauty

 • some interesting pictures: www.66mobile.com/news/Nokia_E60-Eseries-leaked-pictures.html

 • Right man. Wating... Waiting... ZzZzZzZz...

 • we have praised nokia enough - it now for nokia to roll out this gagdet so that we can know for sure how effective or defective the claimed fuctions are - we are getting tired of waiting

 • 3G does not necessarily just mean video calls, it means that the phone is able to connect on to the UMTS band, and use 3G capabilities such as live streamings and wireless broadband.

 • you said that this phone has 3G but it has not a camera!!!how do you explain that? Thank you very much

 • When will nokia release this fun - does any one know? - I am getting dizzy waiting. please nokia dont kill this excitement - 3 months is good enough or do you want us to go for alternatives? we can't wait forever

 • Looks like it's going to be what I asked for as regards functionality. I wish they would have a folding phone with the same functions and performance.

 • Looks like this is going to launch in Europe. Will it be launch in Asia specifically Singapore as I only see Nokia E61 and no Nokia E60 on www.mokia.com.sg? Asia phone usually has chinese input and Europe phone do not have. This is a very good especially for people who visit customer's place which does not allow phones with camera and you need a phone. Saw on some other website that this is gonna cost USD300, not sure if it is with / without SIM / Line. Anyway it is expensive.

 • very nice phone by nokia

 • At last! Nokia heard its army of 6310i fans and brought the successor to one of the best Nokia phones! I believe if you like this phone and also would love a camera with it, you could get it as an accessory. This phone has no internal needless gadjetry for serious business users, while exterior is simple but icy cool. Anyone disagree?

 • The price might be high because it's a business phone and companies are willing to pay for quality.

 • besides PS3, it's another 1 i don't wanna have to be waiting for.

 • I love this phone, this is what i have been waiting for. Pls try and incoporate an inbuild fm in it.make the phone avaliable not later than now and the price reasonable.

 • Wlan, voip, tft display, 3G, EDGE, memory card, ... and NO CAMERA! I want this phone!

 • Nokia how long are we goig to wait? - please while we wet make the price reasonable for this fun - grant

 • This is the Handphone that we've looking for, very suitable for Company cell-phones. Complete future and no camera. But when you will be available in Indonesia??

 • Wonderful phone. it has all that i desired from a phone without camera, especially i have to go to places that don't allow camera/camera phones. I'll be waiting to purchase it.. Thank yoU Nokia for bringing such a phone to life. :-)

 • I love Nokia phones, first and foremost. I am so thankful that this is a Symbian phone, slender, and no camera. I have two digital camera's already, I don't need a third... Besides, I cannot bring a camera into my office building. Thank you Nokia...

 • Finally a phone with bluetooth and EDGE withour a camera. Thanks NOKIA for rememerbing that there are business users out there!

 • This is great phone. I m waiting for this phone. What a great optins it have. Pldase only NOKIA add FM RADIO. in it then this is perphect phone of the world.

 • This is a good phone... The messenging and calling features are emphasized... It would be very funny if they removed the texting feature of this phone. It would also be better if they extend the battery life of this phone... maybe, umm 600hours +

 • this phone is meant for business users.. most companies dont allow them to carry camera mobiles..So thats y nokia didnt add the cam to this and e61

 • Omg, nokia did it again. A great mobile phone, but forgot one thing again (like always). This time the camera. I wonder who would like to have car that do not support music from cd:s and only from tape this days??? daaaaaaaaaaam nokia. No one else company are doing jobs like u, to forget something importend in the new stuff u produce. And why produce your first mobile phone with 16 million color when no camera????

 • this is really a great phone, the best thing in this phone is that it will have VOIP...this is really awesome...i think i'll buy this phone.

 • Yes i wll buy this mobile, it look little larger than my 6021, should be comfortable for useage. I don't like camera and mp3 all in one mobile phone, which are useless and low quality, but increase the price alot.

 • i see people is talking about its disadvantage that is no camera or Fm radio, for me this is a good phone coz 1) Phone that uses blackberry connectivity usually does not use camera as they concentrate on the function 2) this phone is definitely gonna be expensive since it has blackberry 3) its function is one of the best over ALL nokia phones

 • SO far the mobile phones is doing all the very unwanted things, it has become a gimmick to have a video recorder and camera, i love this phone for one reason i can always carry this with me, in most of the place now camera phone are not allowed, and we do not know what do we do when we go to such places, we neither leave the phone, and not breach the rules

 • No way am I expecting it to be cheap, especially with all those advanced features and build quality. But I do expect it to become a favourite with the business market, and the more mature customer. I agree with those who think it will become the natural replacement for the Nokia 6310i.

 • I hate to disappoint you Stella but it definitely wont be cheap, if you look closer youll see it has very advanced technology.

 • To all those that moan and whinge about this phone not having a camera, FM radio, or clip on covers - please!! Is it too much to ask that Nokia produce just ONE phone without all this unnecessary garbage attatched? Not everyone needs or wants these features - why can't you understand that? Just one decent phone - that's all we ask. This phone looks like it could fit the bill. I realise I'm banging my head against a brick wall here, but I know there are others that agree. Don't be so selfish! Love Stella

 • no built-in camera or external camera? the phone features are good.

 • Nokia's Highest Resoloation TFT Disply 16M colors. Size 352 x 416 pixels. 75MB Internal Memory. Symbian OS 9.1. Series60, 3rd Edition. Disadvantages: No Camera and FM Radio.

 • sadlly the battery is a big bad thing for this phone

 • no CAMERA!? atleast a 0.3mpixel camera la. Overall, great phone which high performance. this is what they called : E series. for business purpose ^^

 • Finally phone rich functionalities 3g phone without camera... Hopefully it will be available in malaysia

 • good things come to those who wait after a long while, finally a phone, not a gadget

 • Finally a phone that concentrates on calling and datatransfer. No camera's or radio, just calling, sms, e-mail. What more would you want? Pictures? Most compact dig camera outperforms any phone camera. And you can make internet calls world wide for a few pennies! At last a true up to date business phone following the footsteps of the 6310i! Now let's hope it will be in stores as planned i.s.o. Nokia style delays... :)

 • Good idea, I mean i was looking for something like it i.e. with all the features and no camera.

 • No Camera!!!!????!!!! I was gonna say I wanted one :(

 • Why no camera Nokia? Would have been much better

 • Nokia,Can you please include the programmable integrated FM radio.

 • Like many others I believe this will be the successor of 6310(i) - I own the 6310 and never envied the camera in my wifes 6230. I need the office functions and synchronizing with outlook. I need solid build and straightforward operaton. As mentioned before, the only drawback is the lack of FM radio - would be god during long waiting hours at the airport... Stella: Nice study of postings ;-)

 • yeah the lack of camera is odd but the other things are superb!!!! what a wonderful screen... when will this fantastic machine will be ready ..anyone knows???

 • It is UTMS phone... Is it possible to make video calls with it? I know it does not have a camera, but still I would like to make video calls, since they are free of charge in Slovenia. :)

 • This is the long awaited phone from Nokia. It is the direct succesor of the NK6310i. It has no camera, good loocking, nice features and it has beem designed for business people. Very good phone, our waiting has ended: a good phone with good features+Symbian and without a camera.

 • Great phone! It's very cool that it doesn't have camera and other sh*t

 • I'm definetley going to buy it! Waited for a whole year for a featurefull phone without a camera! My company does not alow camera phones and i had to stick to my old 8910i.

 • This mobile is great. But why this complete high tec.mobile, does not have camera?

 • a G3 phone but doesnt have a cam.?? must be joking... who cares if its a business phone... some business requires to take some pics. of wat u are selling but theres a digi. cam so no need... but how can someone see u during video call?? :) thnx

 • @lo featureless? U can't read? The phone has everything a businessman wants, some ppl just don't want camera's on their phone's and this is a great solution. And indeed, there are lot's of places in the world where camera's aren't allowed.

 • Also, camera phones aren't allowed in some companies. I'm sure this is going to sell.

 • Dear Mr. "A large LCD screen without a camera! Is this some kind of Joke?" . . . Nope. It's a f'n BUSINESS PHONE. . . .

 • Stealing SE T630 design is a no-no... looks cool but it's feature-less.

 • this is prob gona be ma next phone... phone camera suck...havin a sony cybershot is bettter than having a cell with camera.. this cell has got all the features i want n gud colours... its sure not gona cost high too when it is comes out as it does not have a camera...i rate this phone 9 out of 10.

 • wow ..yes man i agree ...finally a phone with no camera ..and with decent dimensions ...not like those itsy bitsy k750 s***!

 • This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for to replace my 6810 - especially since I don't use the fold-out keyboard. All the screen without the camera is perfect and the phone is the nice big size that I like and am used to with my existing handset. No offence but a camera is not a "be all, end all" requirement for phones with high res screens. I'll be breaking my rule about buying from the initial batch of new models and go for this beast!

 • nokia must be kidding...a 16m color lcd display without a camera??is this a joke?

 • the device is very beautiful and excellent features but i am missing one most important thing which is FM RADIO. please include FM RADIO in the forthcoming cell phone. thank you very much

 • bravo nokia u are great from nikeria

 • Compare the language use by those who are pleased that this phone has no camera, with that used by people who can't seem to live without one, and you will see just one of many reasons why Nokia are right in not including a camera on this phone. Love Stella

 • F*** u nokia! No camera? I was seriously thinking about this as my next phone, you just lost another long time loyal customer! You guys are so bad...its always one missing feature!

 • Sorry Jas, but the E60 won't have a camera.

 • E60 got a 2 MP camera. Better than SE K608

 • hey! this looks just like the SE K608 handset! NOKIA SHAME ON YOU! Now i'm really convinced that SE is way better than NOKIA!

 • this is a wonderful set.i like it very much.there is no camera that is the most big problem.but it is still ok.the most wonder ful thing in this set is its colours.it has 16m colours>which is great

 • looks pretty awesome.

 • Opinion seems to be divided between those who wish this phone had a camera, and those who are delighted that it doesn't. All I would say is that those who want their phone to have a camera already have dozens if not hundreds to choose from. So please spare a thought for those of us who just want a decent 3G phone, built to last, with a classic design, and free of all the trivialising gimmicky garbage that is tacked on to the vast majority of mobiles these days. Some of us are not bothered about appearing "cool". Neither are we interested in using our mobile to photograph parts of our anatomy and sending them to our mates. All we want is a decent phone - and at long last Nokia seem to be on the verge of producing one. Just hope they don't cancel it!

 • I really could not figure out what Nokia is telling us... they are producing new models but why they did not make it perfect... this phone is really great but why no camera? 16M color support is really a WOW but I am not sure if they can beat the Samsung TFD display which is an obvious very fine pixels... please tell me what I have heard about my friend that Samsung is the one manufactured the LCD of Nokia... pls tell me if this is true... NOkia? Please answer this rumors.. thanks for that...

 • Finally a good phone without camera. Camera on phone is pointless untill they evolve enought to deliver decent quality. Now they just add price.

 • Finally! I know most of you don't like the fact that it doesn't have a camera, but my workplace doesn't allow cameras because of security issues (classified documents, devices, etc.). I've been waiting for Nokia to release a phone with specs such as these! Now if only I can trade in my 1GB full size MMC that I use on my N-Gage for an RS DV one to put into this baby...

 • No Camera , Sooo Pity , nokia never make perfect mobile , it is lacking...

 • This phone is going to be th next 6310i. It is going to sell, sell, sell!! Aimed totally at the business market, it is all about communication. Something most people forget when choosing a phone nowdays. Push email, VoIP, WLan... Imagine being in your head office the phone runs on VoIP, then when you leave the building it switches over to 3G. Well this is what the E60 is capable of. Small compact and very functional as a business tool.

 • The E60 is kool.handset only if they could have added FM radio with it don't bother much for camera or MP3. cause MP3 playing takes lots of battery,

 • if suddenly then it came with the 'i' version then u will again being spoilt.

 • Ofcourse you can access the internet. What else should you expect from WLAN?

 • does the wlan allow internet accesss

 • it looks like se t630? its not backward? not the SE t630 looks like nokia 6200? and earlier candybar without aerial antennas phones?

 • One fine mobile phone with a lot of welcomed things .

 • the best phone i have ever seen.i have never intersted in NOKIA brands but this one attracts me so much.i love u E60

 • the phone look very much like Sony Ericsson T630.. even the keypad arragement look similar.

 • This is really a non-CAM Symbian phone I have ever been waiting for.hope that the price is low enough for me to buy it. Very good design and functions!!!

 • Mihir no there is not, this one is the best and E61 too.

 • Please tel me whether there is any phone better than this one which doesnt have a camera

 • At last a phone for business men and women! it looks like the phone we have waited so long for. if you want the camera you are missing the point. well done Nokia.

 • Finally a real phone. No tacky camera. Is there any other 3G phone on the planet without a camera ?

 • what a cheap phone nokia made... shame on u nokia

 • interesting combination with 16m colours without a camera..

 • For many years Im using the Nokia 6310. The reason that I have not replaced it is because I have not seen a more robust phone by Nokia, and I was waiting that one-day they may come up with a phone for business people that they just want a good and reliable PHONE never mind about all the other gadgets NOKIA finally did it. At a first glance I think that this phone will be the one to REPLACE my 6310. It looks very good.

 • this product is beautiful.but... how is quality display ?! how is quality voice ?! how is price ???!!! please send answer for me

 •
guysu have 2 agry me that nokia is master in cheating nokia 6020 n e61is copy of sony ericsson t630.no cameraa tiny screen y it is business fone with all these ground breaking qualties!!!crap+garbage=e61 muddrik 2005-10-25 13:35 PGha
Not by all means, but we are posting our opinions about the Nokia E60, not the E61 ;)

 • guysu have 2 agry me that nokia is master in cheating nokia 6020 n e61is copy of sony ericsson t630.no cameraa tiny screen y it is business fone with all these ground breaking qualties!!!crap+garbage=e61

 • I believe this is one of the best moves Nokia has ever made. This is what a phone should be. Screw the camera. Go get a Canon or Cybershot if you want to take pics. Just hope the price is not killing and they dont cancel it for any reasons.

 • No disrespect to hoodies, happy slappers, crack heads and kidz in genn rull, but after all you've got dozens if not hundreds of phones to choose from. Spare a moment for the rest of us. All we want is a good phone, and this seems to be it. u wood unt b gruj us that wood u? Love stella

 • At last, something approaching the phone I've been waiting for. Classic looks,( no chewbacca clip on covers here! ) robust build, great screen and nice clear key pad. Best of all - NO CAMERA!! If I want to take pictures I use a camera. I want a camera that takes brilliant pictures and I want a phone that's simply a brilliant phone. I don't want a pathetic compromise by sticking the two together. This will replace my 6310i.Finally Nokia are responding to a section of the market that they have ignored for too long - namely those people who just want a really good phone- PERIOD! Amen

 • no good like philips

 • works well with VOIP service provider , next generation of phone service

 • No camera will be a plus in a way.It would be very interesting to see how the 16m screen looks like in reality.

 • This phone is perfect, and not having a camera makes it even more perfect. I love it.

 • No camera.... Wish it'll be cheap!!

 • xllent screen.. what about the camera... does it have one

 • could it be the new 6230? i think yes

 • its like the BEST SCREEN EVER oh god, its just awesome,

 • when i first saw that, i thought: at last NOKIA launched the killer phone, 16mil colours+extremely high res, in very very compact dimensions, then i realised its just another NOKIA (no cam? FFS! its 2005people)

 • jeez almost a perfect phone. too bad no camera to play with it

 • This phone will be out next year, probably January or February.

 • no camera??? If it got camera then it will be a perfect phone.

 • a phone for lawyers who cant have a camera in court. this is perfect

 • verry nice looking phone . 2 min points ; no camera and like always with nokia phones , BAD , verry bad battery's . the standby times sucks wrealy with nokia phones . if they sould put better battery's in the phone's like Sonyericsson , the sales would go up with 50% .

 • This phone is amazing... screw the camera!

 • The only BIG negative feedback on this phone could be the miss of camera. Either is business phone, this does not mean the people dont care/need to have a camera! Its feature we dont use often, but its good to know that you have it in case you need it. Where is the successor of 6230 i..

 • Finaly... A good phone whitout a camera. I have been looking for something like this for years now. I dont want to look at another person on the phone, i want to talk to them... But i want the data-speed of a 3G phone, and this things got it. I must say that Nokia really got it right this time.

 • at last i got the mobile with latest futures and without camera the main thing which i wanted in my latest cell.@sameer (INDIA)

 • hey this jus resembles se t630!!!!!!!!!!!!

 • I hope this marks the beginning of the end to the rampaging camera-in-everyting madness. I have been waiting for a high end phone with great voice, data and messaging capabilities for 4 years. I have used the camera on my two latest phones about twice each.

 • its a buisness phone!!do u know what that means?!buisness users dont need a camera on their phone!and i dont think that se 610/630 had symbian,wlan,etc...but i think u dont know what this means...

 • Camera, would not be the most importat feature of the phone.. I personally dont care about my camera for i use canon rebel and powershots to use for camera usage. The 16M color is impressive. Its about time they announced that color display to the Nokia's. Why Samsung I believe was the first to think of the 16M color

 • well....this phone has no camera...why??!!! but..its a really good phone!i Think its going to be cheap when released..but look at all the features..its even running on symbian 9.1i think I may consider this phone..

 • though highest resolution display no camera no mpeg4 player what a silly phone is this ?

 • hahhh....no camera....forget it...la....yawww.....

 • Don't sh*t it's a dead-on copy of the SE t610/t630 just with a different color scheme

 • hi guys, wanna cammera? just wait E60i, will arrive next seasson, be patient.

 • Perrty nice phone! Waaay better design than SE T610/630, even if some say that it's a copy (wrong!). 'Bout the camera... I'll only miss it for the caller IDs. I hope that I'll be able to add picz to the callers form memory. Hopefullyy found the perfect candidate for replacing my other phone, N7610. I tried all sorts of phones, SE, Sams, Siem, and more, with or without 3G, but none gave me the Nokia feeling, the feeling of a complete mobile phone. I now dare dream that this will be the one. Now I'm sitting on the sofa, chilling, and waiting for the E60 to hit the market and become a #1 seller.

 • There should be at least camera for video calls. Not having the "imaging" camera is not a big deal... It's meant to be a serious phone (seriously.. why do you need a camera in you phone)...

 • Hahahahahha Its UMTS Means 3G but no Camera Hahahahahha

 • Without Camera?!?!? It's like a war cry! Do some of you go around putting cameras in your whole house, like your toaster, your shoes and the fridge? Remember years ago, people used to own mobile phones for talking to other people on! CRAZY!!!! Maybe some people still do! I think this phone will be another big seller!

 • Imaging cell. without cam but sounds r very interesting. release it very soon pl........

 • Once again a nice featured phone launched by Nokia. A symbian class 60UI,steel body, classic design,a buffy keypad and offcourse without camera what else a sober personalty need. No complaints now to nokia because Nokia has amalgamated a great deal of features according to needs for specific persons where camera phone is not allowed.

 • This is a blatant ripoff from the Sony Ericsson T630 design :|

 • With series 40 compactness and series 60 functionality, E60 rocks solid. 16m colors, WLAN and long list of high end features are pretty impressive. Lack of camera/video limits fun factor. A winner nonetheless

 • The Nokia E-series are for business users, that is why there is no camera.

 • why without camera

 • no cam for such high spec. mobile? horrible...

 • may any 1 know about blackberry connectivity coz i m just confusing whats that ???? about the mobile NOKIA always on top and in this case just watch out the screen

 • someone said "A total copy of Sony Ericsson's design. Not innovative at all" you nuts??? its SE than been copying nokia, and this phones don't look like, just the N60 and only form factor the keys are different and the features i dare to say better 24bit screens of nokia have come =)

 • Why no camera with such a screen?!?

 • wow... Finally here comes a great phone without camera.

 • ?? It just doesnt look like SE phones... And this looks far more impressive

 • 352 x 416 pixels!!!!! Either it's a typo or its crazy! Four Hundred pixels with six million colors.

 • They shouldn't make phones that target a specific market - Honestly the conference calling features aren't really necessary. The screen resolution is amazing - too bad there's no camera!

 • the battery looks good really 7 hours is above average with that the excellent screen kind impresive

 • 256K color screens. isn't it?

 • A total copy of Sony Ericsson's design. Not innovative at all

 • Nokia whats wrong with you let your customers down know an again ,people like your mobiles for the ease of use but the functions you do not apply let people down know an again,if this had a camera with this screen pixels it would sell like hot cakes grow up an redesign this mobile an place a camera on the new model

 • nseries don't have 16M colour screen!

 • Thats a shame I was hoping the battery would be decent. I'm looking for a smart, well built phone with a decent screen and good battery life. Still worth keeping an eye on though and seeing what people views are when they have had a chance to try it out! Also I can't see why people are getting so uptight about lack of camera, the N series all have cams and are pretty similar featurewise.

 • I think that this phone is a very good move, something like 6310i. A true bussines phone, symbian, screen res, they didn't put good enough battery ( 6310i has li-pol).

 • Nice phone. My job doesn't allow me 2 use cam phones, and so i thank Nokia 4 Making such a great phone. Thanks a lot Nokia. can ne 1 pls tell me the cost of such phone. pls email me. thank u.

 • well i am the biggest nokia fan in the world however i am dissapointed in nokia because i know your potential and i believe its time nokia bring out a complete cell Phone, you people are so great i am even impress with how you people added the wifi on your phones and from now on keep put a memory card slot in every phone possible and i cant wait for the N 91 to be release anyway later and keep up the great work holla at 268-774-6845

 • Yes!!! No camera for a good phone... Thats the way... Only phones that has no camera can be judged whether it is good or not... That is the challenge!

 • yesh!!! no camera for a good phone!!!

 • Thats true the 63xx design was excellent but didn't have all the bells and whistles of a lot of the newer phones, very good build quality! I'm hoping this phone is similar because I'm really in need of a new phone badly and was going to get the N91 but as I have an MP3 player already it seems a bit of a waste of features. Does anyone have any idea if the battery is going to be anygood as I never trust these figures!

 • OMG - Nokia know what businesses want - no camera: mega sales to corporates

 • The 6310i had no camera when it was released in the 90s. And business users were still asking for that up until a few months ago.

 • People have now 7megapixel with nice autofocus and more and more... Camera in phone is a simple gadget that increase unnecessarily the phones' price. E60 is a very good product.

 • research shows there are 3 types of user. The way the market is going now there are a lot of phones that hover between being atractive to all 3 of these customer types. The nokia E-Series makes a bee-line for a very specific type. 1. The poser. Their primary need is for them to be contactable. Next inline is a phone to make them look more sophisticated. Shiny, expensive, gimmicky. All words associated with this type of user. These people typically buy things like the Nokia 8800, it's a status symbol of them. Lets face it, why else do you want an 8800 other than to pose =P 2. The technical person. They need their phones to keep in touch with the office, manage their files, maintain systems and use the internet and wifi connections for research and email. All 3 of the E-Series phones are perfect for this user. 3. The mock-businessman. People that actually dont need any of the functionality of their phone other than for text messages calling, showing funny mpegs to collegues and having comical ringtones. They choose phones that are gadgety and have oodles of functionality but use them more for personal use. Sort of a combination of 1 and 2. Phones suited to these people include the N91, the P990, the 9500 and the 7710 (though please god dont go for the 7710, it's just an example! lol) Basically these phones are more gadgety and complicated. These are obviously just guides because not everyone fits exactly into their stereotype. I myself am more of a number 3. i like my gadgetry and i always think along the lines of "yeah it'd be cool if i could do that with my phone" but never actually get round to it lol. The E Series for me are very much a functional business phone. They're not flashy, they dont need gimmicks like cameras and video calling. And the E-series is likely to be a whole lot cheaper than most because they're simpler. The P990 altho comprehensive is likely to be an astronimically priced handset. Whereas i'd wager every e-series phone wont be far off half the price. Businesses dont buy single handsets, they buy several, even 10s of hundreds of phones. The cheaper, the better, because it makes them more profitable. Thats the beauty of the e-series, simple, functionally exceptional and affordable. It's no use regular consumers complaining these phones aren't up to scratch, they weren't designed with you in mind. This is almost too sensible a move for Nokia, a manufacturer that usually shapes it's handsets by the common 'IT' factor. good job nokia imo.

 • UMTS and no cam? wat a waste!! but like the design

 • no camera... not good... no camera no good phone...

 • This phone with camera+video could be the perfect phone, Im starting to think that nokia isn't interested into build the "perfect" phone . Anyway this its going to be a topsales,IMO.

 • Classic yet very stylish. I think Nokia will repeat the success like N6230 or N6230i. Business mostly don't need camera. Just transfer it via bluetooth & with its 16 million colours screen, i think it will be superb!

 • Daim! Look at the screen!

 • Excellent phone, especially for work, its great 4 those places u can't use cameras but it keeps u busy with th mp3 functions.....

 • All these new Nokia E series phones have faster WLAN than SE P990. SE has only version B of WLAN when Nokia chose many times faster version G. Good job Nokia!

 • haha e-series old designs.. only difference is 16MIL colour other than that wow totally sux..

 • Very nice looking phone, I like anything metalic! I will miss having a crappy camera on it though, I've kinda got used to having one :(

 • i believe nokia is making us fool with this stupid e series;no camera,no video----whats it nokia????????.i think now nokia cannot make good phones--is it right??????.if you also think so email me at [email protected]

 • UMTS offers faster data speeds than GSM, not just the option of videocalling.

 • i fully agree with Steve, business phones need more functionality and faster processors/internet access and not necessarily the camera. good work Nokia, three cheers.

 • Looks like a SE T630. Very nice screen resolution but no camera. Its a big, big, big draw back.Poor thing... P990 is the greatest!!!

 • Believe it or not, the fact that they have no camer'as makes them more a business phone than ever. Countless business work in sensitive environments that forbid the use of any photographic equipement. Places like power stations, design labs, accountancy even schools believe it or not. If someone asks you for a decent phone that doesn't have a camera...which phones are you going to recommend? at the moment, none. the E60 and E61 however are perfect for these users.

 • Finally someone that realises that cameras are just a waste of space. I believe I qualify as a heavy business user, doing well above 1000 minutes per month in calls and a considerable amount of data, and I have used the camera on my phone twice the last year. I have yet to find a client that is interested in engaging in a video call. Still, I would have thought the camera would make a greater impact on the weight than the 9g that differs between this one and the N70 (not to mention the 6280).

 • sorry, that should be most corparations don't allow their employees to take a camera phone to work.

 • patrick, not trying to copy what any1 else has said but you will most likely find that most corparations (not all but most) don't all their employees to have a camera phone. so that is why it doesn't have a camera. an employee who is caught with a camera phone in these companies will loss their jobs. nokia have made a very smart move here.

 • i thought this was a BUSINESS phone? why doesn`t it have a video call camera? putting a nice screen and nice features doesn`t make you want to put a video call camera? how DUMB.

 • the E series are for "business" users. if you want a camera than the E70 has one. i think these are exellent phones. good job nokia!!! :)

 • Wow!!!! wat a gr8 hp... but.. did u all found the camera??? I din see dat... sigh.. tot gonna get dat e series...

 • the specs is good.. but the design is soooooo damn boring. why cant nokia made a high tech phone design with this specs? candybar is over

 • hmm is it me or do most of the "e" series phones have no camera??... i think nokia is trying to start a new trend and seperate cameras from phones because they are afterall used for making phone calls... or maybe they haven't showed their trump card yet........

 • the screen is just over the top!!!

 • Thats great...i will buy
