  • I love nokia too. My first was nokia 6230i then n70, n79 and c7. I think I wouldn抰 be easy for nokia but there are plenty of us that must be taken into consideration. This means that nokia must be nokia specially coming onto the android os. They should try and bring back hardkeys functionality (the menu key in particular to wakeup screen and others including vol- +, power, camera,) as the basic standard in most of their phones as they coming up new phones. Again nokia should produce a lot dual sim phones with good specs and long lasting batteries since they very important nowadays. Nokia target in bring his nokians back by releasing less or inexpensive models and styles but good specs. I don抰 know if nokia skill exist as a manufacturing company if so I hope to see new and different stylish that phones on the android os.

  • Nokia China still has years left with the Lumia models, however Microsoft has bought the Lumia name last September 2014 directly from Nokia Finland which has been silent for a decade now. Nokia Finland will not cooperate with any Chinese brands anymore, as they said in their statement last quarter of 2014, Nokia Finland will be with Android, outside Android OS (Smartphones), it means it's not from Finland, but they will still manufacture and design phones with keypads like the old times since that is their signature.

  • Having now received one of these tablets I've found that it doesn't actually have sleep/wake functionality, even with the correct case. It is nothing short of astonishing that such a basic rudimentary feature wasn't installed on this tablet. Another failing is that is doesn't make an audible sound when plugged in to charge to confirm charging is activated/on, you know, like every other contemporary phone or tablet! If you couple this with the lack SD Card expandability and their idiotic marketing/sales program for this tablet you can only say that Nokia have scored one massive own-goal. It's so disappointing for a tablet which showed plenty of promise. The only option now looks to wait for Asus Zenpad 8 S with 4GB of RAM. Now THIS is what Nokia should have been making.

  • Nokia still uses the habit of not expanding memory slots if it exceeds 32GB. How much will they spend to include that tiny slot?

  • All of u... U know that nokia's smartphone division is now under microsoft.... Means nokia can't make any SMARTPHONE but it can make a SMART TAB..... Even after making a tab.. Nokia is not allowed to place a sim slot in there until december 2016... Because it will be against the deal made between microsoft and nokia....   • The mi note is plastic case and it's also 64BIT but K1 Quo CPU. And N1 is Intel Atom, but most important thing is it's metal cased and price almost the same. When you done you mind to order N1, you need take two issues in mind:1. None of them is with celluar(LTE/GSM) function. 2.All the human on earth need google play and market as well as FB, Line, etc. So, you must place your order from Taiwan instead of Chine otherwise you'll get a solo expensive brick at home.

  • Well if the N1 has SIM slot, I would choose this one. Depends on where u live. When something is broken with the Xiaomi outside Asia, it's not that easy to send it back and get a refund. You will pay on top! Look up for the specs on Nokia's website.

  • No it's not aviable outside China. Foxcon sold (selling) this tablet in their own webshop. First batches sold out in mere minutes (4 I think). This is because of resellers buying it and then reselling it in their own webshops (Ali, DX etc.) There is a demand for millions, but one batch contains like 20 to 50k units and sold out in 4 minutes.

First use IPAD air or air 2 then you will forget other brand models of tab .

  • I do get your frustration regarding the unobtainable nokia n1... we all are at the same page! Its just that since they merged with microsoft, nokia had an agreement with microsoft that they will not manufacture a cellular device until the contract ends! (FYI it is ending in Dec 2016 approx.) So Nokia will not be launching N1 and any future devices in North America until the beginning of 2017. Lets hope for the best to happen!

But, there is hope, I saw a photo of the insides of a prototype of this tablet. There is what looks like a hollow area at the top of it, indicating that this device may soon include a cell version. Please Nokia, I know you can't legally make phones, but a cellular tablet does not count as a smartphone, its a tablet. I feel for you guys about the cell radio, I have a cell-enabled iPad mini, and that thing is AWESOME because of the ability to get online without tethering a smartphone. Until this feature is offered, I just can't bring myself to switch over to something like this. In other words, Its a great iPad mini replacement, but not without the built-in LTE radio.

It can connect dongles, usb mouse and keyboard and the most fascinating an external hard disk which means there is no use for sim support and external sd card support when it can work like a computer and don't forget its price which are half that of the nexus 9.

  • I wish they made it in phone form and with 5" display. I would surely buy it. I left Nokia for Galaxy and then Nexus because of their outdated hardware and Symbian, but if they will make a decent Android phone (comparable to Galaxy S5 or Nexus 5, not that Nokia X bull, ehm, excrements), I would come back running. Nokia is still way ahead of Samsung and LG in terms of hardware quality and design.

But have you checked the current trend? iPad Air 2 or the latest hot-cake NEXUS 9 tablet from google-- None of them have card-slot. all these devices have the OTG support, so does this Nokia N1, so this won't be an issue.

  • Actually, Nokia has merely licensed it's brand name and software to Foxconn. This neatly gets around the restrictions imposed by Microsoft, that Nokia cannot produce phones till Dec 2015. Because the N1 is not a phone , and it is also not produced by Nokia, they cannot be sued for breach of contract. A very smart move by Nokia executives to stay in the market.

  • Actually silently NOKIA used them, sold them old platforms and hardware, took the money and starts over. It is clear that Symbian could not compete with the current Mobile OS market and the hardware do not supports most of the OS in the market. So it is a good idea to sell them at such great price. But I think in future MS Windows Phone will be a dominating OS, I know there are many limitations but it is efficient in term of performance and resource management, just need a better store and need to be optimized and user friendly.

  • first of all stop comparing tablets to the smartphones...... second, this is indeed a great peice of harware. we have seen nexus 9 topping benchmarks with 2.3 ghz dual core processor...... so lets keep our hopes high for N1's quad core 2.3 ghz processor. both the chipset are from diffrnt manufacturers but still intel has a long and strong history in electronics. this is just the beginning, nokia now has billions of dollars that they acquired by selling the smartphone division and more then a year to plan on a proper flagship device for 2016 fall or maybe multiple devices but yhe flagship in focus. nokia will come back in 2016 with carl zeiss, clear black diaplay, here maps and other exclusive services and maybe an exclusive nokia app store for its own android devices.... hav been using nokia phones for more than a decade so that kind of trust just wont die...... now the just need to "unscrew" the bussiness that they originally screwed...... good luck. a believer.

  • I am a huge nokia fan but I think nokia has lost its previous ethics and ability why are they deceiving their loyal fans with Chinese tablets with just nokia branding they did not manufactured it themselves because they already had sold their manufacturing unit to Microsoft. this tablet is just anyother android tablet available in the market . we loved nokia for its excellent hardware and simple interface but this device has nothing like that.it deoes not have nokia DNA in it because it is not produced by nokia just its name is used to earn cash but it will not win hearts

They are crying already but Samsung will fail the Nokia using Android OS.   • Good specs but too late in market. If they price it properly then it might get along. Now a days these specs are good but timeline when they launch ( 2015-Q1) it might be outdated specs when compared to market current rate of growth. Regarding Display: its 324 ppi, i still remember how n8 display used to look. amoled screen with good colour depth, frankly speaking i was disappointed to see its non amoled display and just 324ppi for 7.9" display. atleast 400+ ppi would have made justice. ________________________________________________­________________________________________________­______________________ This is my opinion, if you don't agree its fine.
