Where's EDGE?? Every thing seemed just fine on this phone and i had nearly made up my mind to ditch my current very popular but old s60 & go for this phone but What happened to the feature called edge, its not there. There is no 3g in India but i still want all my streaming radios and videos to work. I thought keeping their phones, 1 feature short of perfect was some other company's strategy. I would not recommend this phone to any person who uses gprs to access internet on phone.

To The Samsung's Technologies, It's not coment but a question or suggestion, i hope you ha it this features. If you are calling and called party's picture appear in your screen and your conversations on going, and if you received text messages, his pictures appears too. Like Sony Ericson W800i that's my mobile phone at this present. From the my mobile phone is Samsung V200, still alive now, then I bought E730, apter a few months, I bought again the D600. Then I found the Sony Ericson has this kind of features, I bought too. Now, I alway's looking that the Samsung have this kind of this kind of features, 'coz I really LOVE Samsung Technology. Does anyone know whether or not the Z600 will be coming to South Africa and when ? I see the Z400 is already being advertised as a new release (coming soon here in SA) which was announced after the Z600, but when I ask around about the Z600 people look at me as if I'm mad or something.... I would really like to get my hands on one of these, so if anyone out there could share some light as to when and if this phone is coming our way (South Africa) I would really appreciate it.

thats because samsung doesn't puts more attention on profit than market share. they care more about money than it quality or market share thats why their mp3, cameras, screens, UI are always average not bad but not really impressive.

Symbian S60 ? good, at last it will be possible to add games and applications to a samsung phone

Samsung makes among the lowest priced phones in the market (IMHO). Motorola and Nokia are also making low priced phones, but they sure do manufacture good models. I don't think any model from the N series of Nokia is cheap.

yap, but nokia and motorola are more on low end phones to low income countries with very low prices and they try to gain market share with that while hurting thier profit margins, well that is not a real top manufacturer. Samsung is not offering much on low end phones with low prices, i mean they are more on mid-end to high-end phones with steady price and samsung now has the highest profit margin which surpasses nokia and that is a real winner. Samsung price selling as i have heard is the one of the highest in the business. As i have said SAMSUNG has no "ME TOO" attitude and they will not go down to nokia and motorola's level who tries to make market share with negligible profit growth while offering 30 dollars phones. The bottom line is SAMSUNG is a premium brand.

Looks like an improved Z500 (obviously). But it's a pity about the looks - looks horrible (IMHO anyway).

that still doesnt make same? it looks more like samsung can't samgsung being trying to be the # 1 for a lot time now. but they have NOT succed. if that what the reason. they would sell the phones themself instead of using other companies. they would profit alot more and still have the biggest market share. but with nokia and motorola at the top its really not possible. nokia and motorola would have to retire for samgsung being the #1. sorry fans.

to jo, the reason why samsung do not want to be no. 1 is because if other companies will out of business then samsung sophisticated screens and chips will not be purchased because other cell phone manufacturers are purchasing most of samsung's cellphone screens and microchips for thier cellphones. Get it?

do they have restriction, why would a company would not want to be the #1?. if they really could do it , they would have along time ago.

if samsung will remove all its restriction then there will be no more competition left.

Let Samsung remove such restrictions and see how the competition becomes more and more fierce! Even if Samsung does that, other majors player won't easily become scared.

To jo, Let samsung do the restriction because if samsung will not do the restrictions then other top and major manufacturer of phones will be out of business instantly. Lol The N,M and SE must be thankful to samsung for making such restrictions because samsung phone will be almost perfect in any respects if they offer what other manufacturers do.

ehhhhh first post ever, i have to say this phone should've come earlier, coz now this phone is left behind by the oe with 3.2 mp and radio: he z710
