well after all these years, my n92 still works. like they said its quite real, infact i even used it alwys when we go on operating on mountainous terrain, temperatures reach to 34 and down to 18 degree celsius,with fogs and heavy rains. its always gets wet, but somehow, it is still working now a days i had an n85 but i dont think it could stand the weather. its useful for us soldiers. anyway there is a problem with the gps and positioning. it'll be more useful when it is activated. fm paulo,pnoc compound, kidapawan, philippines

You can activate it's wi-FI only in the wi-fi enabled area or wi-fi campuses such as private schools or other big time companies. If you are in a wi-fi enabled building,go to the WLAN application, press options and select scan for wireless local area network. Hope it helped.

The advantage the N92 has over the E70 or any other series 60 device is that it has real time TV Streaming via Digital Broadcasting for handheld, which is available anywhere except the UK. I'd personally stick with the E70, build quality and usabilty are superior plus it has the newer OS of Series 60 V3. If you want the Visual Radio and TV Service and the flashy clamshell styling, by all means go for the N92. I remember wanting this waay back in 2006, back then it was the smartphone to beat, was the best on the market at the time. Today it's pretty rubbish and out of date and looks way too clunky. Remember, back in 2006, 2.8 inch screens were huge, now, even 3.7 inch screens are considered average, heck, thier pushing this way up to 4.5-4.8 inch, tablet terroitory.

In order to connect N92 to wi-fi, you will be made to choose which access points to select on phone's screen. You will know the wi-fi access point instantly because it is the new entry to the list. If you choose it, you will be asked for the security link so you may have wi-fi access.

this is the best N series phone that ive had.. imagine for 2 1/2 years, despite the fact that my cutie darlings flacked it on the floor, even accidentally spilled it over pail still working great! ive had n70, n73, n77, n95 but for me n92 was still the best of all.... now ive just got my N85 and observing if it can beat my N92 as per specs, quality, and worth of money.. for those people whose still yearning for N series phone, go for this one. this is really worth buying for!

ive been using nokia N92 for almost two years now and so far ive got no problems with it...dropped it quite a few times already but nothing happened...my daughter stepped on it, sat on it unpurposely, dropped it, and play with it quite often but still it functions well...yes it's quite heavy but i like it the way it is coz im done with toy-like celfones...got quite a few diff. cp in the past but this unit id like to keep for good...so many functions...feels like the real thing...vg display reso 16M colors and large screen which i prefer and most of all even though it's an old model it can still keep up with the new trends in tech coz it has WLAN and mobile TV, mp3/mp4 player, fm radio, with vg sound quality, bluetooth, voicemail, voice command, etc. I love this phone and am satisfied with it...no doubt, and im glad i had one before it was out in the market.

I got this phone last november 2007 locked from smart. i havent use this phone too much for a year. i ask the technicians in sm malls, green hills, and even in tiangge for how much to unlock the phone. they ask me for php1900 to 2500. but ive found a cheap and no need for turbo sim or whatsoever hardware application. theres a stall in robinson they ask only for only php500 to unlock the all the bb5 phones including my n92. now i can use any sim card that i want. goodbye smart telecom!

mmc ? N92 doesn't support mmc, you should know this. You must use miniSD, up to 2Gb are supported (I recommend using good cards from Kingston/Sandisk, not no-name cards...)

Only versions sold in USA have vibration, but they are not sold anymore... Your version (and all from Asia) doesn't have vibration, sadly - I have also model from Philippines and there is no way to activate vibration

You need to switch the phone network from hsm to umts : tools->Settings ->network->UMTS.Good luck.

The common problem with the N92 is its TV function its SMART locked ergo having them the only network that innovates with its very smart not to mention the first mobile tv phone network here in the country,they should have installed SEVERAL smart tv satellites in various locations and not limit themselves in metropolitan areas only. You cannot use this phone coz its satellite dependent,meaning if there is NO smart tv cellsite in your area its practically USELESS...But function wise its wifi ready, but video/camera function very underwhelming, maybe because it compensates the lack of imaging/video function due to its tv function which is by the way useless due to its tv-signal dependency.

yes the problem of that is usually the ribbon..well you should go to a cellphone technician or ask your friend if the unit he brought from can be unlocked?? i have the same problem coz im locked with smart but i dont want to make a risk because its a hard lock which the technician can unlock it through the hardware..

@fey well it depends on u..N92 is stil ok without MyTV stil you can listen to mp3 mp4 mpeg music,it has loud speakers you can also install a DvD player on it and watch dvd movies..well if your current cellphone is lower than this series then buy it for upgrade..but i dont know about sun locked sim card people seldom use sun here..if it was globe or smart well a lot of people use them here..still depend on you but better check the phone for any probs..=)

to toky here's the thing... there are two option that you can use your phone to other network, first have it openlined. having said that a technician would literally going to open the unit cause they're going to do something with the hardware. and from what i've heard it doesn't always turn out good or "successful" second option...buy a turbo sim. its widely used here in manila. these is where you'll going to attach your sim card(say globe)and place it on the sim slot. here in manila it costs from 1 to 2k. go ask a cp technician he surely knows about this. hope this help

I'm with Tmobile and don't need the U.S. 3G (since tmobile in America only is at EDGE) It's just so much money though. i was able to change the housing of my n92(cause i bought it second hand too) to make it looked as good as new, i had it change. 1. the front panel(where the speaker is) 2. the display panel 3. battery cover 4. that part where the IrDa is located 5. the plastic that runs around the keypad(which the nokia person refer as the "L" shape) 6. the front cover where's the camera is located all in all it costs me P1,600 and the battery at nokia store costs at P2,300

the problem of my phone is this..its plastic inside which holds the LCD and makes it rotate has a sligh crack on it..and it has scratches on the casing and one slight crack on the side..but overall its function is totally flawless..i bought it in that condition..since it was being sold for 4.5k?? hahaha..and i can say i was lucky enough..so if u were in my place wud u buy it or not?? hmmm..i think you would..hehee..=p

this phone the price is so solid. i bought it about 2 years . the price is still around 750-900. some place is higher. so u can tell this phone has it own value. not like the other phone. come out about 6 month.price go down to half or become free phone. i phone is a sample.from 599-399 in few month. the n92 u won,t get it cheap price or free from market.except u have a special contract with the contractor.

hey guys got good news i got my n92 and it cost me 18,590 PHP in the smart center its good and the smart MYTV is doing great and it's free up to jan 31,2008 hahahah i can use my TV without paying hehehe and does question like do we need to subscribe to view the channels the answer is yes but in febuary 1 ,2008 ahhaha but for now it's free hahahha its amazing i video all my new years moments and i change the 128mb free memory to 2GB MEMORY i modified it to the maximum capacity of the phone , and i tried to internet with the phone and it was a blast i was chatting in my YM's account and friendster and ofcourse youtube this phne is great.... =D im having a blast XD XD XD XD

yes, it will cost you about P488/month that will automatically appear in your bill if your a smart postpaid subscriber but if your smart prepaid subscriber you have to pay P488 in any smart wireless center and you have to make sure that you have P1 remaining balance for you to be able to access the MY TV.

blitzpam AFAIK if you will buy a brand new one go for smart it is cheaper and your are sure with the warranty. But note it is lock with smart for 2 years. As of today their is no way we can openline N92 maybe soon.

i really love this phone! i got it from my smart plan retention. the speaker is very loud. i love it. especially when i watch t.v. the resolution is very clear(16M colors) and the sound is outstanding. I noticed that the picture posted here is gsmarena, the from cam is located at the upper left most of the screen while the units here in the philippines are in the upper right of the screen and also i noticed the keypads compared to the unit here sold in the philippines. this phone rock! i am 101% satisfied.

For those who have not bought an N92 yet. I assure you that you wont regret if you buy one, just imagine, you will be able to access at least 10 cable channels from this phone. All you need is to unlock the channels listed with just a maintaining balance of Php1/month, by the way, the channels are: NatGeo, The History Channel, Cartoon Network, MTV, ETC, Jack TV, Pinoy Movies, NBA/PBA, CNBC, CNN.

one of the best phone i ever had, ive been using this phone 4 a month without encountering major prblems except 4 a little flaw ive seen, the keypad scratches the screen, specifically at the right lower border of the screen, exactly located at the nokia logo... same problem encounterd by my sister coz she also bought the same unit... and one more, the screen blinks ocasionally, or if youre righting sms at the third line it blinks... does anyone encounter this prblm? but in general this phone is gr8!!! smart mytv is great but xpnsve hehe! this phone rocks!!! uve got 2 have one!!!

I think the phone that you seen with a built in TV on it is an analog signal not like N92 with a digital signal which is more clearer and good sounds like watching on a cable subscription.

thanks misterpinoy. actually i got a reply from from smarts email team. currently they are just supporting it for the N92, not yet for the N77. they will be supporting the N77 and the samsung phones soon though. i was looking at the china phone and as you have said poor quality for the TV, and although its a PDA phone i cant confirm if its even 3G capable. well ill just wait for the N92 price to lower down a bit.

Just got my n92 from smart 2days ago. Now, i hooked up via gprs to watch the Pacquiao-Barrera fight live! hehehe...i was having coffee at starbucks with my n92 on the coffee table. Very convenient. No need to wait for the long commercials to end. no need to go to SM cinemas.

Currently mytv from smart only support n92 and n77 for DVB-H signal. The China TV phone used the analog signal which is free but low signal and poor video quality.

DVB-H is not supported in the US they are using different digital signals. It will work in EU and ASIA like here in Philippines.

Can this great device support 4gb card? or just 2gb maximum? And how to save a picture or photos when we received one from email? I mean to save jpg directly to phone's memory. aha... actually it's not n92 the first phone to offer dvb-h in the mobile phone world, it's the nokia 7710. they were the first to test the dvb-h application. but i like this phone, n92, more than 7710. i'm planning to buy also. why is it n77 more expensive than n92 when the later is more sophisticated and more beautiful. n77 is the newer version of n73 with dvb-h only. kudos guys... keep posting

i had N93 before, i was satisfied with it, cool features, but i would still go for the N92. that was the original phone that i was planning to buy. but before N92 was not offered hir in the phil bcoz of the TV feature is not compatible in our network. I would say go for the N92. much better but if vibration alert is important to you N92 doesnt have it.

got this phone recently from Smart. I am sooooo loving it! Wifi is the best feature for me. since I get free connection at work, I can now upload my pix directly to my multiply account. The MyTV is quite neat. Though I would still have to subscribe, getting free MTV is good enough. Add to that the big screen for better viewing and the quality sound for a total tv experience.

I bought this phone just 2 days ago and generally, it is a good phone. I especially like the sound quality it gives out. One thing i didn't expect is the very poor camera. My 6288 takes way better pictures than n92. This phone takes blurry pics, picture look cartoony.. I guess the only edge of this phone over it's competition is MYTV.. i must say i am a bit disappointed with the camera quality, i am not expecting the best quality however, it would have been better than 6288 at least considering the price.

i got my N92 from SMART here in the Philippines and i have only two problems with my phone. no vibration in any of its profiles and the internal memory is only 46Mb.

N76??? This is the worst ever built by Nokia. Has to many problems with the aesthetics. Too much peeling of the red and black paint and most especially, the silver trimmings. Nokia Care will change it under warranty and goes back again after several months. I'd go for N92 but have to pay the broadcast fee from your friendly 3G operator but luckily for me, Smart here in the Philippines, it is free till the end of August. Haha!

No DVB-H does NOT stream data through cellular network. DVB-H means digital video broadcast for handheld devices (DVB-S for satellite, DVB-C for cable and DVB-T for terrestrial broadcast) and uses of course digital video broadcast network. It is NOT some internet-TV like MobiTV application.

This phone has the size and the weight of a brick. If it had vibration and had it on a table (near the end of the corner) and starts vibrating there will be 2 problems. 1) For Nokia how big the vibrator should be to move an almost 200 gr brick phone!! 2) If they use a big vibrator to move this brick and drops at the corner of a table, it will be a BIG problem when we are talking about a $900 Nokia. So, forget about vibrator on this Nokia which is like a brick. GO AND BUY A NICE N93i instead.

I disagree with you about getting off GSMArena's back about the vibration thing. Yes, the disclaimer says the info might not be 100% correct, but something as critical as vibration absolutely needs to be corrected if the N92 does indeed not have vibration. Many people in certain work environments need vibration on their cell phones. Can you imagine being an a court room and not having vibration on your phone? GSMArena has had the N92 specs posted on the page for a very long time now. Some people have reported that the N92 does not have vibration. Some people have reported that the N92 has vibration. The GSMArena page says the N92 has vibration. So, if GSMArena is correct, the people who are posting that their N92 does not have vibration have to be dishonest.

If Nokia N92 truly does not have Vibration alert, why doesn't gsmarena website take the feature off of their webpage that details the phone's specifications? People need to contact gsmarena and tell them to correct their N92 specifications page, since the page says the N92 has vibration call alert. If gsmarena will not remove vibration from their specifications, we can then assume that everyone who posted that the N92 does not have vibration is proved to be dishonest.

I live in Canada. Hello everyone. My firmware is also November of last year. My N92 does vibrate when someone is calling me or text messaging me. I can set the phone on silent if I want vibrate or on general if I want to hear it ring.

I think I'm done seeking out the N92. I just want a cool looking phone to replace my 6170 and there's no way in hell this phone is worth $900+ USD. Even if the DVH-B was usable, I still wouldn't shell out that kind of cash. Ah well, looks like I'll keep using my 6170 until something else comes out. Nokia doesn't have anything too impressive coming down the pipeline that's 6170ish.

I received an email reply from Nokia which stated that there are different firmware versions being put in the N92 depending on the region. They added that they will eventually make the newer firmwares available for download. They said the long delays of this phone coming to market caused a lot of firmware versions. I personally think that Nokia needs to get their business practices in order or they will lose many customers. Their long delays to release announced products and their firmware problems can only make people angry.

I purchased a new N92 in Las Vegas last Friday. My phone has the vibration call when I switch the phone to the silent profile. I don't know how to check for the exact firmware version. OK people just forget the Tv option because it will be useless to anyone right now unless you watch through Gprs(any phone with internet can do that)In europe nearly every country are still doing test on their DVB H technology but most shocking is that to function properly you need to get 25 frames per second but up to now they have only 15.So tv quality will be very bad.Another problem The N92 will not resolve is if you decide to watch tv on the move then expect you phone to go down in less than 2 hours.now about yourpockets:Are you ready to pay up to 50 euros extra per month for around 15 channels.Latest poll puts 85 % people saying Mobile Tv is useless feature for them.So recap you are paying near 600 Euros for things you do not need in a phone.If i was nokia i would put some X ray vision in that thing may be that would attract more people.

Nokia thinks it early agian but Not.The DVb Receiver is useless since you need to connect it with some antenna for it to work .so where is the mobility people.If you want mobile tv then only Internet can give you this with mobility of course then you can get any phone or communicator for that matter.Of course you can wait for the operator to start providing it but only few countries have the tv option available yet and those who have it comes to approximately 50 to 100 $ of extra charges per month for tv useage(if you watch around 3 hours per day).So Can you consider this phone as a serious contender for pioneering or does nokia waht to help you spend money on useless and very expensive features

That means it is defective. I live in Texas, USA. I just took delivery of a Nokia N92 yesterday. The first thing I did was set the phone to vibrate. I then called myself. The phone did vibrate. It has vibration. I am happy with the N92, after using it now for 24 hours. I am unhappy I paid so much money, but the phone is very nice, and it has the vibration ring feature.

The big question is why does Kasenfree's N92 not have vibration (or the silent ringing feature) but mine does here in California? My Nokia N92 is set to "Silent." When a call comes in, my phone vibrates. It really does vibrate. So, what is going on here? Someone needs to contact Nokia to see what is wrong. Vibration is a requirement for a cell phone. Why would Nokia leave it off such an expensive phone as the N92? They would not. Is this a manufacturing error? Are the posts dishonest? Are the users just not selecting the correct setting?

The music sounds great through the two stereo speakers. Also, let me chime in about the N92 and vibration. My N92 has vibration. Again, I have the vibration on my phone. Nokia calls this "silent" under the preferences. It doesn't use the word "vibration." Either this is why people cannot find their own vibration, or the posts saying there is no vibration are dishonest posts.

Durag973 is misleading you. My word of honor, the N92 has vibration. I bought and love the N92. Of course there is no TV in the USA. How could anyone not know that? TV service in the USA is currently being tested. So, USA customers don't buy the N92 for the TV. Buy it for the incredible screen and the fold-up, classy look, and the wifi and the FM radio and the great reception. The phone looks cool and feels cool...and yes, it does have the vibration feature.

im very upset i jus bought n92 for 1000 bucks in nyc overseas model but the tv does not work no live tv avail.error message im going rite back to the store in the morning and get my grand back and still play wit my n93 and 7710 until n93i and n95 by the way this phone is off the hook it has built in gps tryin to get it to work and the ringtones can change from regular to 3d effects would keep the phone to big nice to watch movies on though all the fun features do nopt work in the usa n93i and n95 please hurry up and come out im dreaming of ya i love n series peace fellas if yall can help me out holla @ me ......

The Nokia N92 does indeed have vibrating call alert. I have the Nokia N92. It has vibration. You have to set it up when you customize your ringing profiles. Simply select the Silent Profile.

My review for Nokia N92 after using it, I've been using the Nokia N92 for few days now there's alot of issues with the phone and I think nokia could have done a better job, and to GSMArena please remove " Vibration" because it does not have vibration. While I had a stoppover in Chicago, I took a quick trip to check out the phone at Omnicel Communications over on West Madison St. in Chicago, IL. I spoke with Eward Amos, the store manager and finally got to hold it in my hands. the phone's definitely bigger than what I expected but it is pretty cool looking. I definitely want it, but not at its current price. I want to wait til it drops a bit. For anyone who's looking for the phone in america, and doesn't mind a $900+ pricetag, I'd recommend Omnicel. hopefully when things get a bit cheaper, I can get it. Or if I can get someone to hook me up with it overseas.

Thanks to Dyan and Ahmed for the leads to get this phone in America. At $900+, this phone is still way out of my purchasing range (most I would pay is $400 for any phone). I might go have a look at Omnicel since I have a connecting flight in Chicago. Also, I am planning on visiting Miami next month so while I'm there, maybe I'll go check out CTI-Miami in Ft. Lauderdale. My wife says she knows a few people who will in and out in Dubai over the next few weeks. If anyone has any good leads where the phone is from a credible place in Dubai for around the $400 USD mark, please post here so I can point her friend(s) in the right direction to maybe grab the phone. As easy as it would be to get in America, I really don't feel like paying a high premium to get it here.

I may not agree with anyone saying N95 outruns this..:-) This phone might sell the most of the multimedia range from N-series, n95's advantage is only 5mp camera and the GPS, but this got a DVB-H capable(not found on N95) and it's got looks better than any other N-series except N93i and N76.

Fianally, you forget business customers/seniors/couples/pre teens. While the Iphone is a hot gadget it will not force certain consumers to drool over it and spend 600� on a device they cannot afford which is aimed for the younger audience in general, from late teens to young/mid age adults, and only so many people can afford the IPhone. The N92 is also ridiculously priced but the masses won't buy neither phone based on thier stats and you find people cannot afford them anyway, they buy the handset of thier choosing, you cannot force a product down a customer's throat. At the end of the day, the customer is always right, not the salesman.

Also tho the guy saying that Nokia lost thier market, first off, Nokia are still the top brand and a large public share holding company, how can they lose thier market based on the N92. Plus I do not see that happening for a 100 years or more, with models like the Tablet 800, Nokia N95/N93i, the largest phone manufacturer in the world has a fleet of smartphones that the consumer buys, are you some kind of fortune teller predicting the stock crash of Nokia because of 1 phone? First off, people are entitled to thier opinion wether it is ugly or not, it is neither ugly nor a star, it performs considering the amount of technobabble the smartphone has. And to the cynical few comparing this to the IPhone, yes it will be obsolete but the IPhone still does not offer DVB-H streaming so i'd hardly call that obsolete, also the resolution on the N92 is greater with 352 crisp colour screen with 16 million colours, only the 7710 and 9500/9300i have superior displays. The Iphone also deals witha 2mp camera which this also has, considering this phone was announced in 2005 I'd hardly call it obsolete old in comparison with the Iphone which does not have the most essential function and that is DVB-H streaming in 2007. I don't know why people get so worked up over it, it's been a year only, not 10 years sstop your whinging.

Nokia N95 is not the best, it is exact as the Nokia N73 but without WLAN. Nokia N95 is big and heavy but the Nokia N73, on the other hand, is more compact and its sleek design. Nokia N73 can also operate a navigation system which does the exact same thing on the Nokia N95.

the uk has not confirmed when this model is going to be released because of DVB-H, the UK is so slow at everything, we always get everything last and this country sucks when getting new gadgets. DVB-H at the earliest in the UK won't be until the London 2012 olympics, by then the N92 will have been long forgotten and out of date. This remains purely a vision phone in the UK, I just think because of dvb-h this phone isn't coming out in the uk.

I just had a chance to use N92 and it's TV services in VietNam. Basically it met the standard of Nokia Nseries phone with good camera, good functions. On this version of Nokia Nseries, Nokia focus on MobileTV .with DVB-H services,it turned to be a small TV that can carry around, pretty impress with that!! I will get one when it come out in the end of this month .

Sadly, the eBay listings referenced below are fraudulent. I won the eBay auction for the Nokia N92. An hour after me paying for the phone via PayPal, I received an email from eBay Customer Support (Trust and Safety Department) stating that the seller's eBay account was compromised. It's fraud. I have filed a claim with PayPal to get my nearly US$600 back.

HAHA, u think n73 is better ? u better go and read the comparison in Nokia website n73 doesn't have WLAN, means what ? means that no skype or any other program can be installed in the phone, so u won't be able to use free call to most countries in the world. there are so many programs that offer sooo cheap rate to other countries like www.skype.com or www.freecall.com and if you don't have wlan, u can't use them. so it is stupid to but a phone without wlan now. also n73 is one of the ugliest phone that nokia has made. n92 is a filip phone with amazing display quality. quality of n92 is 16 million colours but n73 is only 262,144 , u don't want me to go on and on because then u will put ur phone straight in to garbage lol

in south korea the dbh tv has com out about 6moths ago... and the ranges of samsung phones tht have the ability to do tht r just amazing.. u can even watch it even in undergroun trains.. so i dont think nokia should even think about makin these phones .. they r way behind compared to samsung phones sori to all the nokia fans

Some infos for those nokia N92 patient fan base,.. this phone shall come this year first in vietnam and indonesia because those two countries have established DVB-H networks as it provides 13 TV channels and a little number of FM frequencies at the moment,.. later on some countries would also hae that network in some time... especially in philippines... anyway love this phone even before... still features are up to date(excluding only the camera).. hope this will be sold at lower price... and the OS performed better than previously released N-series...

Disadvantages: The phone is heavy. The phone is big and bulky. Once the TV service is established in your country, you will have to pay a monthly fee to receive the TV channels. (This phone cannot pick up free TV over the air.) Battery life would be relatively short if watching TV. Camera is only 2 megapixels. Not the best quality for pictures, especially if you want larger sizes. No built-in 3.5mm headphone jack, such as on the N91. To plug in your standard headphones, you need to put in the Nokia adapter which sticks out. The phone is expensive. The phone has been promised for a long time and still is not widely available.

there is another tv trial with the n92 which just started. its supposed to last for like 6-8 months. The n92 is only going to release when the tv service works, so basically not until spring. i think ill get the n95 in january, and see what happens with the n92 next year

it's amazing that fantastic phones are just visions or concepts or they are released only in South Korea/Japan. Europe will never have 10 megapixel phones, the most we can muster are 3mp and the majority of handsets are either 1.3 or 1mp, at least we've got the LG 5MP and Nokia N95 5MP models. Needless to say, the Motorola V1000 is such an awesome design and they never released it. The Nokia N92 is awesome in a way it's big but the feature and the screen are to die for but I know this phone probably won't even comeout and remains pure vision, but then again, carphone warehouse have informed me to expect to see this phone in the UK, but the only bummer is the DVB-H service is restricted to Oxford only after sucessful trials earlier this year or last year.

To Khalid, if I were you I'd personally opt for the Nokia N91 for now as we won't know if N92 is coming out just yet because of the TV features, you'll find it at a bargain price at some CEX shops if you live in the UK or on ebay. Great features, great camera but did not live up to its 2MP hype and excellent video recording, the style of the N90 is higher quality than the N92, both N92/93 got thier designs from the N90. But if you want more added features such as fm radio and better music player, go for the N92, 16 million colours compared to only 262k colours on N90.

In reply to the fella below a few posts regarding the sale of the Nokia N92, Mr A Jogani I'd take that very lightly with a pinch of salt. If you look carefully the specs state it as a GSM phone when it is clearly a UMTS phone and the specs only cover the basics, not the main features, DVB-H TV and 16 Million colours. However, it's probably a US site so I'm most likely wrong and the guys who advertised it don't know anything about the N92.

in response to alex, tv is free to view but I'd imagine you'd need a seperate tv license as the operator will only charge you the record over airtime feature. Carphone warehouse have also confirmed its release soon depending on which of the 6 main operators, O2/T-mobile/Vodafone UK/Orange/3 UK/Virgin will take it on board at own discression. DVB-H was tried and tested in Oxford using the 7710 via the 02 network and proved a success. However I think the N95 will come out before this, but I plan to get both N92 and N95, I'm thinking of part exchaning my 9300i for the N92.

This phone is coming to the UK. Carphone warehouse have replied to me and confirmed that the Nokia N92 will officially be released Spring 2007 at select stores in Oxford and the London areas, when they'd estimate round April time, by that time the N92 will be obsolete and newer better models will have superior processing power and features. The N95 will not replace this as flagship, as the N95 lacks TV and doesn't have the 7710/9500 640 x 320 crisp clear display. I would still root for the N92 when it comes out here over the N95 although N95 is far more superior in terms of technology.

if u go to nokias official site and click ireland as your country, the n92 is not listed as an upcomning phone, its under latest phones. its upcoming on the european regional site though. im not sure if this means that they have released it in ireland or not

Guys, this phone will not come out. This phone is way older as the N93 and the n92 is yet not come out. This phone will be replaced with another phone. Nokia wont make such a phone with a 2mp camera, that isn't out yet. Just think guys. In the first quartel of 2007 the n83 will come out. And there are rumors to about the new version of the n93 and that is the N95. If these phones will come out, the N92 is nothing more, thats a reason why the N92 will not com out. Those who 'claim' to own this smartphone or selling on E-bay are all fakes and scams. Don't listen or reply to these people, wait for the actual model to come out. it was either this or N93, I decided to wait for this model instead having owned the N90, N93 wasn't a huge step.

The few N92 phones the guy below is referencing are the small few initial test models that Nokia manufactured and then put out there for testing. Nokia had full intentions of mass marketing the N92 in the beginning. But Nokia changed its mind after it realized just how long it would take to get the digital TV service out there worldwide. And now there are other digital TV services being discussed, which would compete with the format supported by the N92. So, if you are lucky to find one of the few N92's manufactured, go ahead and buy it up. After those are gone, there will be no new N92's made by Nokia.

Did you mean to write that you are going with the Nokia N70? (You wrote "E70") It is sad, but we all need to give up on the N92. I own the N91, but the N91 only has a tiny mono speaker and not the stereo speakers that were planned for the N92. Also, the N91 screen isn't anywhere near as great as the N92's. The N92 screen will be able to show a whopping 16 million colors. No other Nokia phone even comes close. Shame on Nokia for teasing us with the N92 and then deciding not to go ahead and mass produce it. Shame on Nokia!

Sadly, I must report that the Nokia Website in the United States, which lists all of the Nokia phones to be released in the future, does not have the N92 listed. It has the N93 listed as to be released in the future. Again, the N92 is not listed on the USA Nokia site as being in the future release list. It does appear that Nokia has decided not to move forward with the N92. Makes sense, since many people believe the TV phone will not be too successful, especially since there currently are no TV services.

Dan is absolutely correct about the fact that the Nokia N92 will never be released (according to lots of Nokia representatives and according to CTI-Miami, who sells a ton of Nokia cell phones). Dan is not correct, however, about the Virgin Lobster 700. The Virgin Lobster only has a 1.3 megapixel camera built in. The Virgin phone has a 2.2 inch screen, while the Nokia N92 had a 2.8 inch. The Nokia screen also shows 16 million colors, while the Virgin Lobster does not. Incidentally, all of the Nokia N92 sales on eBay have been fake sales. They have been scams.

I spoke with Tal at CIT-Miami. He specifically stated that a Nokia representative told him that Nokia will not make the N92. Again, a Nokia rep told CIT-Miami that Nokia has decided not to make the N92. (The N93 is available, however.) Currently there is an N92 listed for sale on eBay. Current bid as of this minute is US$800. Tal at CIT-Miami suggested that this is another one of those fake scam auctions for a high-end Nokia phone. Perhaps either the eBay seller is lying, or someone has stolen the seller's eBay ID. Sad news indeed.

This phone is available, according to some sales on eBay. However, quantities are extremely limited. I emailed CIT-Miami, which sells phones, asking when the N92 would be available for sale. The reply stated that the Nokia N92 will never be made. (That's all they said.) I emailed CIT-Miami back and asked for clarification. I have not yet received a reply.

If the eBay seller requests that you email him first, you can be sure it is a scam. If the eBay seller will only accept the money first via Western Union, you can be sure it is a scam. Be patient. Nokia will be releasing this phone in large quantities before the end of 2006. If you do find a legitimate seller now, which is very rare, you will pay top dollar. This phone is not worth top dollar since there is no TV service for it yet. TV service will not be available until at least sometime mid to late 2007, if not longer. Michael California

When you wrote that you got the N92 for "149570," you need to include what currency so we can all convert it to our local currency (mine is US Dollars). Also, we all need to remember that we will pay a fortune for this N92 phone for TV service that is not even available yet...and when it does become available we will have to pay even more money to get it since it will be a subscription TV service. And by the time this TV service is widely available worldwide, there will be other phones on the market that can receive the TV, and perhaps those phones will be cheaper. I still want an N92, but I would not pay more than US$700 for it. And finally, remember that after you get the phone, you'll want to upgrade the MiniSD card to either 1 or 2 gigabytes (so, even more money).

That guy is mistaken. The Nokia N92 is absolutely not available at CTI-Miami. I checked with them. There are occasionally some for sale on eBay, but the price is very high. One guy now from India has a minimum price of US$1,000. There is too much length of time between the time a great phone is announced and the time it is widely available. Also, I did research about the TV broadcasts from the US. There won't be any available for the N92 until at least late 2007. Very costly to get it started. Plus, due to all of the research and development costs, the TV service will most likely cost a lot per month. It will not be free.

I�ve been handling this nokia n92... Screen is great and really antireflective, camera is bit better than the one in n70 (both 2mpix), TV shows are pretty good quality(better than normal TV with outern indoors home antenna) in finland, 90mb internal memory is enough for begining (before buying memorycard), everything works smooth and without crash, wery good multimedia product. Wlan is useful when exploring internet or downloading files, so is 3G too if wants to pay using it. Nokia was clever when they made n92 a smartphone, not s40 basic phone, like they did to nokia 6280. Those are Pros, cons are these: Keyboard is good in multimedia, but really not so useful in normal use, and gaming with these keys is really not so easy. Outer screen is good indoors, outdoors its hard to read. And why memorycards only up to 2gb, why not up to 4gb? That this phone uses SDmicro, is fault too, why they didnt made n92 read MMC cards(lot cheaper cards and faster to read/write). n92 weights bit too much, but that is acceptable with these features and 2,8" screen.

In the UK have we got any release date yet??? Been holding out on my upgrade for over a year for this. according to nokia S60 third edition and its specification. i can conclude one by one from top from bottom. besides, u may khnow nokia Nseies are all great. i have used N90 and N80. i can tell you that N80 has image quality as N90, but unfortunately talking about video quality N90 is better than N80 cos N90 has carl zeiss optic and autofucos. base on i experience i can finally tell that: N93=N73 N90 N80 N92. cheers.

has anybody checked the phone if it receives analog tv signals on UHF band , except from digital signals ? because the dvb-h system works on UHF band,which is occupied by analog tv signals. so when you will search for signals in that band it will receive also analog local channels of every country. does anyboby will confirm that ?

the tv function does not work in every country, so if you lives in a country(most country in the world) that does not support this function, then this phone is not very special

The phone is awsome besides it is the next step of tv mobiles earlier taken by nokia from the windows mobiles systems which i proudly use for now... that said... i am looking forward to the release of the N92 or N93 which ever thought the N92 looks slicker... As I said somewhere 100 posts ago, it should be somewhere in the same range as N80 and N91 were when they got released. That is N80 - $1000, N91 -$1200 So, I think it will be another thousand-dollar phone not worth the money. HOwever, its a cool fone, have nothing against that =)

Maybe this can clarified little bit about when does it will be launch oh yes, they did say the whole introduction here in Cebit on Mobile TV is to get ready for World Cup 2006 in Germany... so perhaps those who did not manage to get tickets would still be able to watch outside of stadiums with their new phones. :)

you cant go wrong with these N series nokia's one thing cought my eye was the stand by time on the N92 i mean with the phone like N92 why would anyone want to leave it on stand by even though with the stand by time of 12 to 14 days i think you'd have to chatge it everyday specially if you are going to watching TV on it.

The nokis N92 has good features and i have full confidence that it wont be cancelled due to buggy probelems. There is no such thing as buggy problems. There is just one problem in the new nokia phones, that is, it has a long start-up, but this phone will be popular. This was my personal opinion.N92 can overtake any phone. The N 93 isnt as good as the N92.I will always pray that the N92 willnot be cancelled, i am looking forars to buy it after it comes out. One more thing, who knoes when this phone will come out? In my personal opinion, if the N92 is experiencing buggy problems, I think Nokia still has more than enough time to figure it out until its scheduled release this July or August. I believe Nokia is not that d*mb to take that long since they have learned many similar things when they experienced N91.

This is not a phone! This is a huge brick! it's twise heavier than w810 and much more bigger in closed mode than w810,imagine when the phone is opened.. Ashame!! Ok,great features,but in this body.. and that weight.. I will be disgraced when open it to talk with some on! All new nokia's phone are too too big and heavy! We aren't in 20century's phone industry! We are in 21century! What a shame about Nokia.. and still loyal users not stoping to bye so so expensive and huge bricks from nokia only because it's written NOKIA in the top..
