I have purchased this phone one and half year ago. It has no issues with speed, and there is no lag. The screen clarity is fantastic and the phone has a high dpi (233 I believe). Due to this small texts are also crystal clear and messages are easy to read. There is no blurring of texts. The camera is very good and the photos in daylight and in good artificial light are very crisp. Both Wi-fi and Bluetooth work well. The build quality of the phone is also good enough. Battery is also good, lasts quite long. Duration of the battery will depend on the usage, of course. One flaw which may be is due to some inbuilt restriction - 3rd party keyboards like Swype Beta and Swiftkey cannot be installed permanently - which is rather shocking. Once the phone is rebooted / restarted the system switches back to the stock android keyboard. This is frustrating. I don't know if other users have a similar experience, or if this is a problem in my phone alone.

This is the best phone I've ever used in my life. I have used nokia , samsung , black berry smart phones, but all of them this phone is the best so far. I purchased it one year ago and still there is no problem occur so far. Video calling is very good. 3G speed is better than samsung and nokia. Youtube play hq videos are super clearty. What's more ,u can add software of ur choice from the google play store to make ur phone more useable and usefull. I love this phone.

As all said, the battery backup is bad, some few techniques helped me to regain battery. As soon as I bought d mbl d batry discharges drastically. make setting like GPS Off always. It consumes huge power as mbl needs to continously track the location. Also make the Brightness to 2 levels. It saves some batery. Overal its good one at that cost. I recommend those who want smart phone and can afford at 7k, its serves them alot.

Hi, overall the performance of mobile is very good. On comparing to Samsung galaxy S, celkon is similar to it, having all the features. Ice scream sandwich or Jelly Bean doesnt matter, phone is stable. I am facing an issue. bought this mobile 2 days back but display gone. I tried removing battery and insertinga gain, celkon logo displaying after that mobile screen becomes blank. But inside mobile is running, coz wen i touch the screen its vibrating. Anyhow i solved this issue but i lost all my data. Someone please give any solution for this as in future again this problem arises, i should be able to solve this issue without loss of data. Yes friend I too got that problem ... I have taken it to coustumer servive of celkon but they did nothing... told me and replaced me another mobile... I but my next new mobile is also with the same problem... but I found solution and its really working but u may loose all your phone contacts and user data.... thing u have to do is remove, and switch it on again ... while swithing on.. before the mobile blinks... vibrates.. about to onn...u must press volume rocker + butten ... which u will use to increase the sound ... if u do so the mobile will go to another display ... with android symbol where u can see the options and by operating the permanant home buttun ...ie 2nd button from left u can see options of factory reset and format userdata... select it with touch carefully or u can use volume rocker to highlet the option and press ok ie... the left button to the home .... ur mobile will get adjusted to factory.... and aaks for reboot...di it so and ur problem wll be solved..... but be careful... never dim the brightness conpletely..... I think this is the manufacturing defect... and... other than that the mobile is super in its performance..... don't worry.... battery performance is little bit low..... and dam hell is that I dint find the way to disable the vamsi shutter click sound.... except that things the mobile is excellent i n its perfomance...

I purchased this in January 2013 for Rs. 7600. For this price it is a great phone. It is fast and snappy. Screen clarity is very good. Better than Canvas 2. Touch is smooth. Negative thing is camera quality and battery life. Need to charge everyday. But thats not bad as you can charge it at night. 8MP camera is a real let down. But then it is a budget phone, so dont expect too much. Finally, if you need a best Android ICS phone within Rs.8000 then go for it.

Hey guys.. using this mobile for a past 2 months. comparing to "Galaxy s duos", "celkon a97i" is best in processing speed, graphics. sound clarity is good, if you use nokia or sony Erickson bud type headphone the sound effect is awsome, use PowerAMP player its suprb. Headphone comes with this model is bud type, but sound not that much gud, use someothr headphon as said. -> For camera, use camera ICS it will be good for 8MP. -> Touch is suprb feels gud, very gud quick response. -> Battery comes upto 1 day only. (1500mah) try 2000mah battery for better battery standby. -> Auto Bright is ter, so stop quick battery drain. -> For back pouch use Samsung Galaxy S dous's pouch, it will fit for this model. -> Overall 7.5/10 ratings. I have purchased this phone 03 days ago. It has no issues with speed, and there is no lag. The screen clarity is fantastic and the phone has a high dpi (233 I believe). Due to this small texts are also crystal clear and messages are easy to read. There is no blurring of texts. The camera is very good and the photos in daylight and in good artificial light are very crisp. Both Wi-fi and Bluetooth work well. The build quality of the phone is also good enough. Battery is also good, lasts quite long. Duration of the battery will depend on the usage, of course. One flaw which may be is due to some inbuilt restriction - 3rd party keyboards like Swype Beta and Swiftkey cannot be installed permanently - which is rather shocking. Once the phone is rebooted / restarted the system switches back to the stock android keyboard. This is frustrating. I don't know if other users have a similar experience, or if this is a problem in my phone alone. Overall a very good phone. Worth the price.

I agree there would be some heat when you are playing games...But the battery backup and camera is very good. The battery comes for 2.5 days with average user, skype chating and browsing of about 2 hours with normal calls usage. Camera quality is very good and in room conditions it comes about 4 MP and outdoor about 8 MP

Guys, trust me....the back up for me comes for almost two days with emails checking, and normal phone usage and browsing for an hour. Pls do the following : 1) Screen brightness - keep to the minimum. the sensors automatically overrides it when you are on outdoor 2) Timeout minimum 3) Press homekey and remove all the apps which are running in the background Also the camera is good and I am able to take quality photos with it unlike the review I saw in you tube where they said colors are nor reproduced properly.

the phone is very good. Decrease the brightness and remove unwanted app running in the background (ICS4.0 method)for battery to last longer. Also do not update skype app...Earlier there were some issues of phone.anddoid.com failing and keyboard failing. After reset and not updating the skype, its ok. Also it has 1 GB + 2GB internal storage apart from external storage which can hold 32GB cap.

Celkon A97i looks good like samsung s3, but it lacks GPU. The cam quality is not as good as it shows like 8MP. qality shows like 5MP. I got it for 8000/- after bargaining(with warranty and bills). One more thing is Celkon service centers are worst than any other service centers.

i have brough Celkon a97i its very good mobile for low cost special features and you can compare with galaxy sIII and Lumia 800 the similar features has been installed with lowprice cam clarity and capacitive touch its good i have satisified...

waste mobiles releasing celkon. i have celkon a97i. what is the funny is not charging through ac. i am trying to call celkon customer care toll free number, it is switch off (toll free number). listen Friends amount is low but it's so many problems contacts with phone memory and when your calling its total disturb(mic) is not good. camera quality hahaha funny it shows 8 megapixel. but when your take the photos the quality is waste. i am not only person get problems. dont go to celkon.
