  • dis set is tough, since 2008 and until now its working, i replaced d bateri already

  • a reliable stuff.

  • does it store music coz if not why can yuu buy music ????????????????

  • How to connect a USB on Motorola W181.Which type of USB. And from where can buy in Patna

  • wel,i've just been using it for a while and at first its kinda complicated especially when i'm txting messages but now i'm really starting to like it especially when you can insert other sims inside like vodafone and ink, which i find really cool.

  • i've been using this phone since a year already. the good thing about this is that it has a long battery life and the speaker is loud and clear. bad thing about this is that it hangs everytime you make sms and you cant read the messages in inbox while you are receiving the messages. also, you cant receive calls if your phone is about to receive sms.

  • i've been using this phone for around 2 years its working well but its battery backup is very less....else it is a very good phone

  • its a good phone if you want live a cool life

  • Thank goodness for a phone which is easy to use, AND HAS NO STUPID 'THOUSANDS' OF USELESS FRILLS ! I bought 2 of them fro $9 each -just want to make calls, receive calls, simple texting..my other phone (samsung) has everything by the million, but i only use small fraction of frills galore. it's great !

  • Good phone, purchased for a someone as a cheapie prepaid whilst on holidays here in Australia. Easy to use and setup. SMS texting was a little hard to work out at the start, but once you figure it out its very easy to use. FM radio is also loud and clear. Loudspeaker great feature as well. Bright uncluttered screen and menus.

  • This handset is jst too shapeless.its form is so weird.

  • i am using this phone from nearly 1 year and not faced any problem really good model and radio also plays loudly battery back up is also good

  • i have used this phone for 6 months after that it lost its energy and i din't use it for more than one month. i hope that someone will advice me on what to do. i went to cell service but they are none service center to repair it. do you have knowledge where should i go? thanks.

  • Just bought this phone as a spare/back-up whilst abroad. Does the job fine and the sound clarity is the best I have heard. Coul dhave made the texting easier to use though. Lightweight and handy as a spare phone. Cost me 20. Cant complain about that.

  • This phone is good in terms of Clariy in Voice and FM. But Message type is very difficult in this phone. Also there is no Business card option. If you want to send any contact number to anyone, you need to manually type in SMS and send.. which is not at all good.

  • I used this phone and I don't remember there is one ("enter" symbol while texting)

  • The phone has Speaker Phone

  • i think this phone has good typing method which is extremely good but lacks data connectivity with pc.s (e.g- usb connection).

  • can anyone tell me .while typing the message is there any option of enter key so as to proceed directly to the other line??? i tried but could not find out...... otherwise a very good phone

  • This Mobile Had No Such Multimedia connection Cannot Able To Connect With PC And Computers Its Simply Waste Mobile This W181

  • Been using the phone for a month and it is great. Does what it should without all the high-end gadgets and tricks. Clear reception, simple to use and slips easily in my shirt pocket.

  • Really Good... But MSG typing takes a great task...

  • Does anyone know how or where to get the drivers for a Motorola W181 mobile phone????

  • Moto W181 is too good. I have been using Motorola earlier also and this one is equally good. Nice buy indeed and that also at this rock bottom price with all required features. Go for it.

  • the keypad is difficult to use. the radio is good, clarity is amazing. good clear talk and good battery life. does what its expected to do at such low price.

  • Battery is fully waste. only 24 hours

  • I know very well what i bought, its a brand phone Moto Yuva W181. One of the excellent phones. I had used C115 and even it was a very good phone. Motorola features are really good. I can say that too many things at a very low and affordable prices you can get only from Motorola. Thanks!!! Raj Malwani Malad(W). Mumbai-400095. India

  • i just bought this phone yesterday so far its good the fm radio is so loud(maximum level)you can store your 9 favorite stations.i like the appearance slim and thin and it is not that expensive.a good basic phone.

  • I purchase this phone on Nov'08. Upper soft key are too small to press the buttum & navigation key has no light( made on Stain less steel ). all other's features are good (FM,spaker, battery)

  • is there an alarm clock present?

  • great FM Radio...u can store ur favorite stations...but as stated in the specifications..long battery life or standby time...i think it's not true...kaka charge ko lang...it sims 2 days lang maximum standby time nya...not more than 2 weeks...but in fairness, elegant fone..parang L72 ang appearance...can be use pa sa PLDT SIM...landline...good naman...crystal talk talaga...

  • this is really good compare to any other basic models it has good sms storage space as well as phone book. and voice clarity is aswsome specilly when im in trafic, no other model has these type of facilities in this range of price

  • This phone is very very good phone w181 motorola 1st battry back up 2nd sms capicity 3rd phone book memorys & good fm sound also speaker phone good phoneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.......................................................................................................................MOTOROLA IS ALWAYS GOOD PHONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE......

  • This phone is really good in comparison to NOKIA 1650, in design as well as in talk

  • i am unable to charge this phone through USB

  • My dad brought me this cellphone when i going in army. I quite like this phone. Got radio too. Suitable for army people. :D

  • Hello Everyone 2 weeks ago i bought Moto W181 handset really it's great hand set for me becoz for always its a big issue of battery...

  • I got this phone today i got catched by the look it good 4 texst and talk and it was cheap but i didnt know that dosent have mms or wap and at least has fm with is ok it says there is crystal talk but not sure hows that work overal not bad phone looks elegant

  • Ladies & Gents, I bought this fone 2 weeks back..it claims to have long battery life..i have proven that it does not..this model is what i use as my secondary fone and it lasts less than my other budget fone..3 days max..and i don't even use it for calls nor do i use the radio function extensively either..and i must agree that using this fone for sms will take some getting used to.

  • I have been using this phone for around a week. Initail impressions of the phone are very favorable. Its easy to use, once u get used to the interface, reasonably featured. few gripes. 1 major gripe is the speaker phone. when u put the call on speaker if the person u r speaking to has a lot of noise in the background. that noise gets transmitted to the speaker, creating an echo effect for the other party... they can hear the noise but not u... some noise reduction and filter on both ends will make a huge difference. 2. SMS typing is a pain at the beginning if u are not used to the interface, and ITap is not predictive, increasing the effort required, T9 is better, simpler. Keys are a bit spongy, so press firmly. fast typing and typing without ITap is impossible, as many key types are not registered. 3. USB cannot be used to charge the phone, or transfer any data. so the mini usb port is quite useless. I would suggest u to go for W180 to take care of the problem number 2, its a hard plastic keyboard. or buy a cheap nokia. i'm not totally unhappy, because i use this as my second phone. i have a M600i as my first phone. with the headset the phone is quite loud without full volume. radio is good too. I love its shape, thin and long. no need to grab the phone, just 3 fingers is enuf. and the mouth piece reaches the mouth so talking takes less effort. the battery cover is not very firm fitting. u can feel it while typing. very Decent phone overall.. better looking than most budget phones.

  • i like my new phone.. its cheap but its good... the style is okey...

  • Using this phone at the moment. Firmware is very slow, you'll have problem typing sms. Games are unplayable also due to the speed. Screen is dark. Rubber keys. Look like a remote control in flesh (plastic actually), it's a love or hate design. Inbox 600 sms. Overall, good for the price. Don't get this phone if you're into texting.

  • w181 is standard mobile phone 1.why the usb on this phone is not for transfer data? ( it's good if we can change the wallpaper or change the game ) 2.it's my comment about motorola mobile phone " wow music " design in this year : " bad specification / not interested " let's look at the " e398 and rokr e1 ", i think "e 398 & rokr e1" is good design of motorola mobilephone in 2004-2006 ( usb, mini sd card,we can change wallpaper, bluetooth,mp3/mpeg4 player, vga camera, video ) many people ( teenage ) in indonesia like use this type

  • boyz I searched for 2-3 hours on net,for such kind of phone with only fm facility and not all the mp3,camera,blutooth features. And as soon as I saw the this phone,i fall in love with it,a lot.Alredy i have nokia 3230 with all multimedi features but i am going to sale it and take A new MOTO W181.BECAUSE I am so bored of my heavy phone and of listening the same music again and agian on the mp3 player and watching same videos. so i am going to ale my phone and to take this. Anoter thing is the mega long battery back up, so guys just have it n enjoy the real 'PHONE'. not a multimedia dabba.

  • its a super phone.........

  • Hi... I was amazed to find 3rd party software for Moto W181 in one of the sites. Please... USERS... Conform whether W181 support 3rd party software or not. If... YES... whats the phonememory. Waiting for a quick reply.

  • woowwwww great phone

  • hi... its manohar...new to this site...i wanted to buy a mobile with a good radio and a long battery.i heard a lot about moto w180(reieased in january 2008).but we had moto w181...the next month itself.now iam totally confused which mobile to choose. my doubt is... is w181 the developped version of w180? if yes... please state the difference... i hope... iwould get... a quick reply... thanks...

  • I just got this phone yesterday and it's a little bit more than basic (calling and texting) as it has an FM radio. It claims to have a long battery life but that I'll have to see. Yeah, not everyone wants those battery-draining features. It's a phone to begin with.

  • Price-wise, this is cheap phone; but it is quite nice & easy to use....with loud & quality sound, a build-in radio & a very long standby & talk time at such a bargain price. This is definately a good buy as a spare phone or for people not looking for anything fancy. Well done Moto!

  • acctually, this is quite a nice looking phone.

  • i hope.. motorola W181 is Very bed bed dream........

  • this unit can download music and wallpapers or screensavers? if they!! hw can i from computer?? thank u

  • yes its true you have to switch every time for deleivery report in moto also in mid range devices you can not record conversation. one thing i would like to share that moto people do not beleive in feed back for upgradation and these small small thing are making them performing very poor.and day is not very far when one of our indian brand will capture this brand.

  • Good for texting and all that Design 3/10 Features 2/10 Usability 4/10 only good for texting.

  • I think it's a good budget phone, there's nothing wrong with it.

  • you guys are idiots, why would a phone company make every phone the best phone, with every feature and a super camera? not everyone wants an 80 mp camera and a 20" touch screen

  • incase you guys dont notice.. the phone (and its non-colour brother), are solely for third world country use. noticing the 7 AFRICAN and HINDI languages, i highly doubt it will be sold in most countries. also, it doesnt have a camera and bluetooth, and all those other features as to conserve battery life.

  • I think this is very simple but very amazing like nokia 1100 . i will buy this phone because i need a second phone...and battery life is very good for long talking with my girl friend...

  • Yep, I knew since the beginning of 2005, this is the future of Motorola, so far.

  • a basic phone with bad design but having crystal talk and having good bettery time

  • can moto make some nice design and low end, like LG, low end, 3G some more nice design......

  • It's fine for what it has to be (note: African languages). Stores 750 messages, great battery and USB. You can't have it all at that price.

  • motorola should create a low end with nice design if they wanted to gain more sales afterall design is something people look forward to

  • nice design again...but I think Moto already have enough phones like this
