Philips S890 - User Reviews

  • me too,so how u solved the prob?

  • the audio of this is good same like sony walkman.i think this phone is better then other.but camera are bad man.what a shame on philip.

  • somebody, please help me.i want take my picture in my phone but usb phone cannot install ini my computer because i don't have a cd.

  • How to activated the internet?

  • very good...samsung no good....cheap n nice n function packed...

  • i need a battery for the phone, but i can't seem to find one. can i put another philips baterry in it? from another model? plz someone help me... thanks!

  • it's a Europan phones with Asian taste

  • I've had the chance to use both the more expensive 960 and 768. I first bought the 960 but had to return it to philips due to its unstable software (despite upgrading)- it hangs when a call comes in(!). It was replaced with a more stable 768, but in just two weeks, i noticed that it wasn't playing all the mp3's i loaded (all of them were merely transferred from the memory card i used on the 960). Against my better judgment, i was given an 890 as a temporary phone while the 768 is under observation. Despite its lack of the features both of my previous phones had, this is turning out to be a pleasant revalation. One: it can multitask; it can receive texts and calls while the audio player is on-ironically, the 960 and 768 can't do that. The tracks that couldn't get played on the 768 can be played on the 890. Texting is A LOT FASTER...And the audio! it gassed both of its pricier models. I'm now seriously considering keeping this one despite the fact that its a virtual downgrade!

  • Just like the Samsung D500 only 10 times worse. Both are the same price now too. Philips need to stick to TV's and dishwashers, not phones...

  • This phone and this price, it is very good. There is not infrared and bluetooth but when you put the cable into usb, it is a flashdisc. Very usefull. But i am not found max. capacity of memory card for this phone anywhere. I think to try 1 GB. Sound quality with earphone is good for listen mp3. What about camera? You must think that this phone doesn't have a camera. Picture quality is not acceptable.

  • Agree with post where said about philips parts in samsung phones. ;) my short story will be abot style. U say Philips copied someone... (means Samsung??) Think WHO is the first sliders?? I dont know exactly , but i remember Siemens SL10. and its was LOONG time ago. Long time before many of U even heard about Samsung phones. ...

  • OK, some of u ppl are so sickening!!!! Let me first tell you that I am not a Phillips fan, n i never had a phillips phone. But let me put something clear. Not everyone in the world is interested in having a camera phone. Not everyone in the world is interested in using bluetooth. Some ppl just want a phone to talk, and at the same time have an MP3 player. This phone does just that. Nobody asked you to buy the phone. Besides, we all copy things from others. Haven't ever copied a good joke from a friend??????? Just like that, Phillips likes the design of Samsung n applied in this phone. I don't c anything wrong with that... Ppl, just as my partner said below, give more constructive comments!!!! Do you have an idea of what it means to start a business of manufacturing phones??? U never know in which position will be Phillips will be in 10 yrs from now. Perhaps it will stop producing phones. But what if it becomes Nokia's rival??? Just be quite, wait, and see... And try 2 practice some self control. If u think Phillips does not make sense, instead of writing a comment and go to another brand in this website.. Plz ppl!

  • At least it's a step in the right direction, however they have to make GIANT steps to interest somebody.

  • Philips should stop making phones...

  • if your going to copy somebody else at least try to better them this is apoor rip off.

  • It is normal that a brand copy a style who is successfully. But the most styles where created by samsung.

  • Why must eveyone that comes on these forums moan and complain about one phone 'copying' another.....it's life ,it happens,it's inevitable as with just about every product out there- so why not post something a little most constuctive instead.

  • phone is nothing unless it has a bluetooth compatiability.

  • Looks the same as the Samsung, but the Samsung is all Philips parts inside. Hope it will be better quality then the Samsungs.

  • d500/600 clone oO? shame on philips
