Philips Xenium 9@9 - User Reviews

  • i'm here just to remind me, this was my cool dad's cellphone. people stole it from me when i was little. miss my dad so much.

  • Joop.Nice to read something from you after a long time(indeed!)At the moment I still have a Philips cell phone.Type W 920.But that has something to do with nostalgic feelings?Because nowadays this phones are made in China by CEC and they "may" use the brand name Philips. And as you wrote;time flies..!Compare the cell phones from 14 years ago with the phones nowadays. But I miss the batteries most from that old fashioned models (of course these phones needed less power).

  • Mark .. Thanks for your message .. i see you wrote it in 2013 and not sure if you will ever read this . sorry for such a late reply as i didnt really visit this page much after my message .. Yep sure was a great phone.. i was so excited when i first purchased it .. i was SO short on cash back then so it was like the best thing ever when i could afford it . stupid as i might sound it brings back memories :).. Looking at the realease date here it says 2000 .. wow 14 years ago.. time flys...!!!! life is short..

  • Joop,I had this phone too so long ago.And I -too- was happy with it...!In that time there was a test in a magazine here in Holland. The Xenium 9@9 was the best tested phone in that test. And at the same time Philips decided to stop the production of mobile phones in Europe...Hope they once wll come back with the latest models.Made in China with the brand name Philips.

  • WOW this is my first phone ever that i purchased many years ago .. As they say "You never forget your first" .. i was actually looking to buy this phone again in 2012 LOL .. miss the old simple reliable phones...

  • I had this phone aroung mid 2002, this is the first cell phone that I bought with my own hard earned money... the only thing that attracts me to buy this phone is the battery life. I don't really like the menu and other function (the side scroll key makes my finger hutrs, it has rough edges) Overall it was just ok.. I love the battery life though...

  • I have one fully functional but haven't had used it for a few years. I've charged it last week and it works. So, if someone needs it, I'm willing to sell it. Send offers to [email protected]

  • One of the Best Cell Phone I have ever used. I have used total 12 different cell phones since 1998. This xenium is one of the best!!!(in it's day) The display is good, Long lasting Batrey, Menu work great..it's just works!!! and also very2 tough. But I did not use it for a very long time (only almost 1 year) because I had to study to America and turns out it did not work there, something about the GSM frequency. Now I'm using a Black Berry 8900, but still have good memories about this phone...

  • This is an awesome phone! I have been trying to find one on ebay for the past month, but have had no luck. They're so easy to use and very tough! i dropped mine many times and it continued to work like new. I wish i had never 'upgraded' all those years ago. I'll guess i'll have to keep on looking. Wish me luck!! :)

  • Too good a phone. So handy. Strange, Philips stopped manufacturing this or could not market it properly. Even more strange is, no other company has one as same as this one.

  • Hi everybody, I have this model sinds about 4 years but I did not use it in the last 2 years because I studied abroad. The cell phone was not used, did not rechage. I began to use this week but I realized there is not in the menu to look at my sms, I only can write sms and I can not even receive sms. Do you have any idea how come this? Greetings from Peter

  • my dad udes that phone for many years and was very pleased with it...now as it got broken he is looking for such a mobile but new...unfortunately it is not produced any more...have you got any idea where can i get this mibile? a new one?..write [email protected] ...thx

  • I had it for 5 years and still working perfectly. very good phone and very good stand by time up to 300h after all this time(really 300h). very tough, it survived so much throwing and droping that I don't care anymore. you can find it at a really good price and it's worth it

  • This is the best phone I have ever used. I've had it for over 2 years in use. No problems and it did what an everyday phone should. And you don't need to charge it everyday, battery last really long. Now just need to find a new "Xenium".. a color display model that would work 100% and have good battery.. I've tried few Samsungs - but no hope with those..

  • it is a nice phone. Can u send me some ring tones for Philips 9@9

  • the best phone I`found, price//quality

  • where do I find an English user manual?

  • veryy good phone at his time

  • i need a batery .pls contact me if you know were can i have it

  • The battery is the best around

  • best phone I ever had....

  • This is the best phone I have seen with respect to the battery life and the antenna is phenomenal, picks up signals at places where other phones don't (comparing with Nokia, Ericsson, Sony-Ericsson, Panasonic, Motorola). I don't know why Philips stopped manufacturing this !!!

  • please i just bought my philips xenium [email protected] going through the manual i find inside where they indicate you can change the colour setting to 4 difference colour but i just couldn't do it why? please if there is anything you can help me with online direction or somethings else please do so that i can be proud of PHILIPS product.thanks

  • I have owned a Xenium 9@9 for almost three years. It is the best mobile phone I have encountered by a long margin. It's size and design are perfect. The menu wheel is an excellent feature that is easy and very fast to use. Overall, an excellent piece of equipment in all regards.

  • i want the goods on this date 30\05\2003

  • good

  • ive got a xenium for 4 years coming up for its 5th year its such a good phone...

  • I am having a problem getting a battery for the Xenium 9x9 could you help locating one in Sydney Australia

  • Some people dont see weel, or if you see weel you realize taht this phone has a blue screen (not an electric blue like many others blue screens at the moment like the samsung r210...) its a soft blue. On the web site is written that this phone has a blue screen also. I had the new fisio 625 but this xenium is the perfect phone for those you search a beatifull phone a excelent batery, and a excelent sensivity to the network signal, and of course for those who look for a phone that several functions.

  • The color of the display its bue, xenium man! I like it also i purchased at 5months ago and i like it, now its for my father because i bought the new fisio 625, the batery autonomy is excelent!

  • This phone is the best phone out there.Just compare it to all the other phones on this site and see. I love this phone.

  • Ive had this phone for seven months and i love it.5 lines of text , great reception, battery life is excellent..etc...I wont be changing this phone for a long time but I wish it had a blue screen as the screen colour is ugly. bye

  • it's great handphones..long life battery..7days

  • have long lasting battere but haven't memory phonebook.

  • my handphone xenium 9@9 how to made ring tone compose and operation wap, xenium 9@9 very good hand phone thanks philips best regard, r.bayu

  • No other phone has battery like this phone has. You can really forget where your charger is.

  • excelent

  • -:) -:) -:) ... I buy it 2 days ago and I'm happy that I did it.

  • The mobili phone that i have it's increadible , the batery lives longer than eny phone i had before , and it's realy copleatly full with options , but i have 2 compleins - first is the antena is too long ( why it can't be with integrated antena like Nokia ), and second is that this phone do nod have phone memory with adicional space for phone numbers

  • It's very good product from philips on xenium series.

  • Well this mobile phone is almoust out of production because the factory that made this mobile was in le mens FRANCE, and this factory was closed.:( Now the new factory is european telecom and Philips is trying to change is position in the world market, in spite of this brand being very good after all this years its not enough for Philips, as you can see Philips created one new range FISIO series, this series ar very good, for lucky im going to purchase this phone, here in portugal, but its very hard to find this mobile here in portugal, if you want one new philips mobile purchase the new fisio 620 or even better the 820.

  • I'm from Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina). I have a lot of Philips' products and also mobile phone "Genie- sport". Now, after two years I want to buy a new one, and of course it must be Philips' phone. I am very interested in Xenium 9@9. Unfortunately, Philips' mobile phones is very difficult find here in Bosnia. So please, tell me the nearest place where I can get their mobile phone (in this case it is XENIUM 9@9 or 989) and tell me the price. Thanks a lot, Sincerely Philips' fun, fikret

  • i hope you can give me about price list, 9@9,989, and how long time to send me in indonesa after pey's that, thank's

  • This Phone is very good and the features are complete. I enjoy it very much

  • fucking good phone...

  • Greetings, I think my xenium is a great and tough phone. But there are a few things that I would like to give opinion on to make the phone better. First, there should be a large capacity phone book memory. Second, there should be an easier way to send a same sms to different numbers. Not write the same message over and over.

  • The keyboard is too small for me. I don't know can I get ringtones from net. But design is cool and very original... the game sometimes hangs!!! The ball loops!

  • It's not the smallest, still got an antenna, has no mirror behind the screen, like some motorolas. You can add ringtones, but noboby knows where, A carkit (original) is very expensive, and universal accesoiries are rare, or not availible, and so one... And still it's the best preforming phone I ever had. (I had 29 different types) If you want a phone to make calls (that's the basic idea, right?) philips is just about the best you can buy!!!

  • A very good phone less the designe!

  • i can say just great phone !!!!! look so sexy, light waigt, great battery life !!!!! with good features !!!!!!

  • este telemvel fabuloso. The Great phone of the world.

  • is very good.i have one.is easy and it has a very good menu.thank you philips

  • phillips please dump the external entenna

  • Baskanilor,vreau si yo un exemplar.Dau 150-170$.095092830

  • ıt ıs a super mobıl tones

  • the best i ever had, even beter dan the old one genie 2000

  • Best telephone I ever owned. The only backdraw is the lack of good games. Bricks is not so fun though. Menu navigating and T9 for SMS sending is superb. And the standby time? my biggest problem is to remeber where I've put my charger between the times.

  • Tell u all,the battery of X9@9 can last for 14 days....can u imagine it?

  • good little phone but difficult to find additional logs ring tones etc for it dont see why not other than it cant be very popular

  • the xenium is ok, but why can't we have more ringtones or downloads for philips ringtones?

  • Can I get this Bad Ass phone in the uk. And is this Xenium 9@9 better than the Xenium 989.... Thancx for anyone that can tell me

  • The Best! nothing more to say

  • I find the xenium one of the most reliable phones I have owned. I have had Ericsson, Nokia and NEC moblies in the past and now that I have a 989, I am as happy as the proverbial pig in sh*t.... except for the programming of personal ringtones of course... Now all I have to do is wait for Phillips to release a range of flashy covers for the 989 and a lot more accessories...

  • Site is fine for xenium info...but the ringtones for the 989 are extremely hard to understand... If someone wants to program a ringtone from the philips range of ringtones.... how the hell do we know if it is compatible with the 989?? And if it is... how do you change the pitch etc.... the only draw back with the 989 in my opinion is the personal melody function is a little too complicated for most mobile users to understand...

  • this is really Hp. perform. ok, display yes and batt. wow.... i like it..i need it

  • We think that this is the beauty of tomorrow...Great characteristics and very beautifull mobile-phone!
