  • Rogers does LTE on band 4(1700/2100) and band 7(2600) so yes this works. LTE will also work with bell, but not telus since they only do LTE on 1700 which this phone does not support. Thus Fido and Virgin LTE will also work since they're sister companies of rogers and bell respectively.

  • Iphone 4/4s sucks in comparison. This has a faster clock speed than the standard s2 but the standard s2 is a generally better cpu. S2 lte has a bigger screen and theoretically better download speeds. It is also 0.7mm thicker if that matters. Personally I'd go with this one just to be a little different. The extra clock speed makes up the deficit of the lower quality cpu.

  • Got my Galaxy SII Lte a few days ago, I,m going back to the shop today and have them check if something is wrong with my phone. 2 hours after leaving the house i get a phone notification that I'm already at 50% of my battery usage. the phone heats up at the back area after 5-10 minutes of use two minutes in to a conversation the phone freezes (plain just stops functioning, have to reboot it) . this happened twice and so far I only made 8 calls. While moving through the screens, it froze on me about 4 times in the last 3 days. Other than that no complaints on my end

  • Hi guys. Had mine for a couple of months now in AUST. Has locked apps with you can unlock by 'rooting' the phone. The biggest downside is Gingerbread with 4G is a huge battery drainer, I find im lucky to get a day, or 1.5 days with minimal phone use. I also dont like the fact that a built in FM radio/app was not included in most ROMS. I see more benefits once ICS is released and custom ROMS that are more stable. I would only go the SGS III once they release a 4G version, as the speed is fantastic.

  • My new i9210 always has network problems i.e. No services. And it will turn flight mode by itself and can only resume normal by reset the phone，also it will reset by itself almost once a day. The current one with me is the second one because the services provider replace it to me for the same problems，it happened again in the second one， i think it is a design fault by samsung，very disappointed！please advise！

  • I just got mine last weekend & while the speed is good, they've installed several apps that I wouldn't of & you cannot uninstall them. I've had to force close them. Also the apps use up alot of my battery power, will not last the day, which bites majorly!!!!!

  • Check somewhere in the message settings for character or text encoding. Change that setting to write full 160 character for a single message.

  • Go to market and download any file browser application. I personally use "ES File Explorer". From the application you will have all options to cut, copy, paste, delete etc. It is common for all android phone.

  • Check your Bloutooth version... The LTE and SII both use Bluetoth v 3.0, compared to "older" version 2.1. This is the problem I would guess....

  • If you go to your phone dialer and type *#2263# this will allow you to take a look and select all or specific available radio bands for the S2 LTE. I've been able to select GSM 850/EDGE 850/GPRS 1900/UMTS-HSPA 850-1900/LTE 1700-2100 so far with my carrier. Depending on your carrier the frequency bands may differ.

  • I got this phone for 2 days, and I have to say it's really fast but... I can't select network option!! it doesn't have that menu in setting. So I can't switch 2g/3g/4g so it kinda drain my batter when i don't want to use 4g and I try to put other sim card on the phone which gsm900 but it don't run 3g/2g/4g but it uses only GPRS ,, that suck!! it allows me to run only 3g at 2100mh simcard. so, i hope samsung or any custom rom that allow me to select network data using type ^ ^ anyway.. i love this phone. pretty fast

  • Honestly a great phone it runs multiple apps efficiently, battery life isnt that great.

  • I had to return my phone the first time because the incoming call volume was really low, not receiving text messages, and incoming calls were getting bounced to my voicemail directly. Did a hardware exchange as I found the problems within 24 hrs and did not use 30 mins of airtime yet. The new phone has no problems whatsoever...everything works great and no software crashs whatsoever compared to my previous Samsung Infuse -- gs2 lte is way faster too and can run quite a few more widgets because of the duo core.

  • have you ever seen a super amoled plus display? put that and the iphone 4 next to eachother and you will laugh at the iphone 4, yes pixels it has more but it is blind to the eye, u cant even see it... trust me the super amoled plus is the greatest display, samsung knows it and they had no reason to inscrese the screen pixels on this phone for that exact reason. Now all iphone fans shouldnt be bashing android walls, especially not this one because they are not even in the same category anymore.

  • Can you actually see the different in DPI? I highly doubt it. The Infuse 4G has a similar density to this phone and my iPhone 4S like my phone. No, I'm not a Fandroid or Apple Fanboy (I did the 3G, 3GS, 4 unlocked) but I like the customization you can do with Android that Apple will never allow.

If however, another chip has a better, more inclusive set, the core speed doesn't have to be as fast to get better results. That said, looking at benchmarks comparing the 2, the Adreno 220 not only is faster but is so by 2.2 times! But now to make it harder to understand.... Benchmarking is only good if the program is designed for both. There's the problem. Was it biased in any way to one or the other? Who can say? All we have then is how the device works in the real world for the everyday user. The mali 400 has 1 core with 4 multi-thread like parts. the Adreno 220 has 2 but at a slower clock. Most mobile games are not utilizing these chips to their fullest and then there is the Rom being used. Best thing is to find a review by someone using the device close to what you will be and find out what their experience is with it. Hope that helps. =)

  • My research on this phone leaves me a little disappointed. The galaxy S2 GPU is still superior to this phone. The Mali400 GPU in the S2 vanilla is a quad core @ 1.2ghz while the Adrino 220 is a dual @1.5ghz. The 8660 chipset on the HD LTE however lets it perform on par with the Mali it seems. I agree with the critics, it was a mistake for samsung to outsource for the chipset on this one, it throttles its potential.

  • its dual 1.5 ghz but apparently its a bit slower than the regular dual core 1.2 ghz s2 thats all because the very bad quallcom adreno 220 thats way slower than the mali 400 in the regular s2 , but this sacrifice was needed because the mali 400 doesnt work good with the lte chips function , in terms of downloads speed the s2 lte is millions of times faster than the regular one but in terms of overal system speed and graphic benchmark the lte lags about half a second behind the regular s2 , but i think its ok , who cares . lte rocks . 75 mb second download speed . oh ya baby , samsng has done its homework right .

  • Alright, ignore the guy who said you get charged on your bill. I actually work for rogers. If you purchase the phone outright, you will have to pay for it up front in the store. I know this because I'm a sales associate and actually do this whole selling phones outright thing on a regular bases. If you were to have the phone mailed to you through customer service there may be a chance to have it charged to your bill but at the store level, you will have to pay upfront

  • I always wish smart phone to have a real GPS. Right now the A-GPS is just a joke. "You're within 1 km range", what's that. "Turn right on Main street", only 100 m, after you made the wrong turn. I'm using the Garmin GPS and it's fantastic. I wish the smart phone can do it as well, acurate, fast, and no 3G.

  • I've used LTE in Europe on 2600mhz, speed is great.. it'll be a while before it reaches the UK though. 3g speeds here are slow (because everyone has 2 phones each). Galaxy S2 LTE version- I like it, but I think the battery life will be poor without a strong LTE network..

  • Don't forget that this has HSDPA as well, so if LTE is not working, you have HSDPA. I don't think that you can't use your phone in those places where LTE is not working. This is a huge phone with a fantastic screen and CPU as well, so I hope that they will bring this phone in East Europe as well, because many people would like to buy it.

  • LTE phone should be backward compatible. If your operator network doesn't have LTE, it's pointless to have LTE enabled phone. Most LTE network have operated under 700Mhz for USA and 2600Mhz/1800Mhz for EUR and 1800Mhz for Asia and the rest. As of now I see no LTE enabled phone.

  • Well.. im usin a samsung galaxy s2.. probably the best decision.. however the screen size is a bit of an issue.. its huge.. nd 4.5 is well.. even bigger.. nt sure ill change frm the old 1.. nd the faster processor.. its jus an ovrerclok.. putin more pressure on the chipset.. Over heating nd stuff.. buh the bigger battery is gud.. however i think the larger screen size will even things wen it comes to batry life.. . nd 1.2 dual core is MORE then capable of handling literallyy ANYTHING trust me on tht.. Nd i kinda like the design on yhe old one better..

  • Hi. I am more than happy with my galaxy sll apart from the slight yellow tint on my display. My opinion apart from that, the best phone ever made thus far, nothing comes close. It will do anything without breaking a sweat. You must buy this phone. Buy brand new off ebay for a steal. My last phone nokia 5800 lightyears ancient brick. This is from another galaxy!! You will not be dissapointed.

  • I saw Ios, and I don't like it. I don't like an OS which lacks many things! You can't send any files to other phone companies, ONLY to Iphone. It lacks also other things, such as the memory card slot.
