I have had this phone forever..... my dog ate it a few times and although it's held together with medical tape and two elastic bands, the damn thing just keeps on working! lol I'm in Canada and would love to buy another one but can't seem to find one other than one in the U.S. and those all have to be unlocked or whatever. Also, I really want to get some photo's off here. I have some of my mom who recently passed away. They were taken a couple of years back before I realized I had no way to get them off the phone! I think Nokia build something into their phones, they all seem to have a shorter battery life as they get older. Shame because they are really good, easy to use phones, with menues designed by a European mind that make sense to Europeans, but what use is a phone that should have 320hrs standby that only lasts for 48 hours?

Ive had this phone for several years. Its a shame they don't make many flip phones anymore. This has maps, web browser, email, music playing. If it had a better screen, GPS, expandable memory and was lighter/slightly smaller it would be perfect (also a better typing autocorrect style). If I want to browse or play games, I'll use a tablet. For a phone, this is next to perfect, just needs to be slightly lighter for pocketability. I am not so addicted to facebook that I need to walk around checking it. Plus, this sits idle for 12 days, and dials when you start hitting buttons. Try that with a smartphone, lol.

I have had this phone for several years now, my first Nokia actually, and I must say I am very pleased with it, it has been very reliable, and served my needs well. I have to admit I am quite partial to flip phones. This ones small size, awesome battery life between charges, and operation in areas other peoples phones have failed to work has been very pleasing. So much so it has made me keep putting an up grade off. Please note I started long ago with a Motorola "Brick" phone, and damn that was expensive, to acquire and to run. In those days you always carried a spare charged battery.

That's called making or receiving a phone call. People talk in the bottom and you hear them in the top.

It's called Voicemail. You press and hold the 1 button and go through the setup process. Then when you want to check voicemail, you press and hold 1 and enter your 4 digit password and it gives you your messages...

I washed it in the washingmachine, and it still works! Alarmclock is good, and the battery last pretty long. But: Sound is bad, handsfree with speaker is even worse, signal is weak, menu's are bad, making messanges is too comlicated, camera is useless. If you like washing phone's in the washingmachine, buy this one.

I have used this as an AT&T "GoPhone" for two years and am very pleased with its performance. The only nit is that it is overly sensitive to position regarding the earphone portion. It must be just so or the volume is too low for all but the quietest situation.

I bought two of them, new for $10 each. I use one to charge one of my three batteries. The biggest problem I see with it is the sensitivity to the signal. I eat at a restaurant 16 miles from my home. It will not lock on to a signal. I see other customers using their cell phones and I used to have another Nokia and a Motorola that had no problem receiving the tower signal. I sent it to Nokia during the warranty period. They returned it with "problem could not be duplicated." I'd really be ticked off had I paid the $49 price that I see listed online.

Started off well, liked it but the memory is pathetic. Recently the default themed background stated it was "theme corrupted". Since then it was deleted stuff, stated that movie clips (which were on there for ages) are not a suitable format and when there is a call it quits and shuts down! Just crap.

One of the least durable phones Nokia has made. The flip joint is made from very weak and poorly designed plastic which may crack from holding up to ones head. The flexible electronic sheeting inside the joint cracks easily as well. Having owned many Nokias and been very pleased with the ruggedness of the brand, this phone has been a let down. At such a low cost, one can't expect much but its also not worth sending in for warranty repair. Pass on this phone for many others in its price range.

THE GOOD: Honestly it's not a bad phone. it's durable. my little cousin threw mine across the room and it hit the wall then spun on the hardwood floor. i freaked out but when i picked it up it was fine. like COMPLETELY fine. if that was my old razor it would have disintegrated on impact. it has lasted me four years so far. THE BAD: I didn't have a problem with it till two years ago. i had taken my sim card out and put it in my mums phone bcuz we were on a trip and my phone was about to die and i couldn't charge it in the car. after i switched back though every time i hit the red "end" button or if i went onto my regular background screen the phone would turn off. then turn to a white screen. then come back to life. now it didn't bother me at first bcuz i had set the feature that lets you open and close the phone without exiting what you are doing. so the end button was rarely used bcuz i would always close my phone to hang up calls. but after a while the phone returned to normal. THEN one day it randomly started doing it again. but this time even if i closed the phone to hang up it would still reset...UNLESS...i had another screen open. it became a habit then to open my text messages during a call so my phone wouldnt reset. but after my phone was dead for about four days when my charger broke when i finally got it charged with my new charger the problem stopped and so far hasnt come back. NOW THIS NEXT IS A BAD AND KIND OF A GOOD BCUZ IT SPEAKS OF DURABILITY...the bad is my phone randomly broke in half. like when it was open it made a 45 degree angle. the good is the dang thing is so durable that i was able to straighten it and tape it together. now i cant close it but it still works. and its lasted about three months like this. so pros and cons...but still a phone is a phone.

Sound, reception, functions otherwise are good. But whats the use of a camera if you cant get the pics into your computer? Or do I have to go out and buy some contraption to do that. Sucks! half the time the only way I know I've missed a call is from the Voice Mail. Right now its not letting me text, it keeps telling me "Message storage memory not ready" I like the idea of a simple phone but I hate this more then anything. Also if the phone for some reason turns itself off and then it takes 10 minutes to turn it back on.

We just got the Nokia 2720 fold. Husband picked it out. Only had it for almost 4 hours and I already hate it. I put the SIM card back in my Nokia 6085 since I can use the Micro SD card and use pictures for my contacts as well as songs for my ring tones. I sent Nokia an email asking how to get my info from the Micro SD card to the 2720. I bet the answer will be that I'm just SOL there. Hubby wants us to all have the same cell phone so that my oldest and I can help him figure his cell phone out. He is not into the technical stuff and is happy with the bare bones absolute basic cell phone.

A friend asked me to put all our contacts on his N 2720. Trook a ood while - don't have blue tooth and no PC conection. Typed in surnames and first names. Then did a search - and it doesn't search first names!! What!! I know my friends by their first names, not their surnames!! So now I have to go through and change Surnames for first and surnames.a I am not impressed. I have a Nokia N73. Excellant battery life, totally useless software. The best phone I have ever had was an LG800 - except battery life! But the software was so easy, loads of information easy to see and use. Nokia need to get some folk who are good at user interface stuff. I'm sure they have some good kit, its just the software that still lets them down.

Just got it... may return it because doesn't have voice dialing feature which makes bluetooth (included with it) obsolete for me.... It is NOT hands free operation if you have to dial by hand while driving. Please let me know if I am missing something... but I couldn't find any info on voikce dialing in the user manual.

Crappy camera placement (my finger always on it when I hold it - my old LG had the camera in front, guess why), crappy glossy finish (fingerprints all over), crappiest speaker of any phone I have ever had (even one from 5 years ago), crappy side button (I often hit a socket cover instead of it when checking time, hitting again I see volume control instead of the time), crappiest external display - almost impossible to see in sunlight and no weekday display, confusing alarm settings (showing "on" when it's off, saving "on" means "once" and if using "repeat" will ring on selected day, but not today). Meagure selection of preloaded ringtones compared to my old LG (had to pay to download half-decent ones, still compromised by the crappy speaker). On a plus side it has got a few preloaded games you don't have to pay for. Got an FM radio - however it doesn't autotune though the manual says it should. To sum up - designed by an idiot, and I don't want another Nokia. Hugely overpriced here in NZ ($129) - in the U.S. they sell for $30. I've lost my old LG flip (again) and though it had its minor faults (VGA camera, undeletable preloaded images and a bit non-gradual charge indicator) it was much better designed and easier to handle - I'd rather have it back.

First of I love how people from over seas love to talk crap about North America just because they are jealous of us. 850 is is better than 900 because it has the ability to transfer through different densities much more effectively. 900 fails at doing that. 1800 and 1900 have very little difference between each other. hey, just wanna ask a question... when the phone is closed and i pressed the volume rocker the phone used to show me the time,but I think i changed some setting accidentally and now when I press it, it shows me the actual volume so when i need to check the time i have to wait for the volume bar to disappear! Go under menu/settings/tones/and turn vibrating alert on. Go back to the main screen and press and hold the # key. This will change the phone from ring to vibrate. Hope this helps.

I ditched my china iphone for this simple mobile phone. i can make a cal and take a call easy. no fussing about touching the wrong part of the screen, especialy when you are in a hurry. I alrady have a digital camera for saving pics, a computer for internet and a much better sounding mp3palyer for music , if the battery dont last long nor sdoes the enterntainment. This lil flip phone is better than my iphone which had DUAL sims + 32 mg memory card slot and still i hated it. i just wanna make calls when i'm mobile. thats waht they are for. right?

it is a phone for making calls and taking calls. It provides some features like mp3 player and mail but it is not a smartphone! if you pay 50 bucks for a phone you cant compare it with the 300 bucks for an iphone or htc where you can have your whole music collection with you! You take this phone for calling and be called. Listen Radio on a difficult day and so sent from time to time a message. So dont expect anything more!

This device is full of clutter that I don't need and makes the real phone functions hard to use. For example, on my old phone one touch got to the 'names' list - on this it takes at least three. Then though the phone has a crude camera built in there is no data cable available to download the pictures. Another annoying anti-feature is that if you don't go through a long and irritating process the settings evaporate after a day or two - like 'vibrate' for example.

ive had this phone for about 1 month. my friends all have the iPhone, but in my opinion this phone is better than the iPhone. it has a lot more apps to choose from. it's wi-fi is a lot faster. is much more responsive when multi-tasking. the video calling feature is what makes this phone though. A++ i recommend this phone to everyone

I don't even know why there's a mp3 player on the phone when it doesn't have alot of memory nor a memory card slot. It's hard to fully use alot of the apps on this phone due to lack of memory.

To the guy who asked how you get MP3 files onto the Nokia 2720 without a USB socket? It has Bluetooth my friend!! You should be able to send it from you Bluetooth enabled laptop or pc direct to the phone, one would imagine. Hope this helps.

The worse things about the Nokia 2720 Fold are: - 9 Mb. of free memory is nothing for today's cells usage. - 128x160 is a very very low resolution for today's cells needs. I have never had a phone that changes the setting all by its self. The manual is not worth anything. You can't find out anything in it. I am very upset with this phone.

you have to activate the call waiting feature in the phone's settings. also, it's a flip phone, it's designed to disconnect the call when you fold it. however this feature can also be deactivated in the settings. i've had this phone for 2 days and I haven't had any problems with it. many have complained about call volume, and I too experienced it. I rectified the problem by holding the speaker directly over my ear and the volume was fine, I then moved it slightly above my ear and the volume got worse, this is a little annoying, but not that big a deal, just realize where your ear is in relation to the speaker. the only problem i have with this phone is the lack of external memory. If it has a music player it should have some sort of a memory card slot. 9 MB of built in memory is practically nothing

The call reception on this phone is good. But the volume when you are talking to someone is very poor. I will have it all the way turned up, and still can barely here the person I am talking to. And have to ask them to repeat themselves many times. Also deleting text messages on the phone sucks. I try to use the auto-delete and it freezed after deleting about 20 messages. The same happens when trying to delete them one by one. And so my only choice is to take out the battery and then turn the phone back on, of which this takes an hour at least before it will switch back on and actually work properly rather than freezing again. I have bought cheap phones before, cheaper than this one, but aside from looks this is the worse phone I have ever had. DO NOT buy this phone. It will break after a month of use.

I bought mine yesterday and plugged in the charger and it gave me a message saying "charger not accepted", so i tried the same charger on my other nokia phone and it worked fine, and i also tried another nokia charger on the 2720 and it read the same message. Im very dissapointed, and the buttons are annoying and impossible and the fact that it has no external memory is frustrating. The sound quality is also very bad during a call

I had my phone for just under a month before it broke. I had not damaged the phone in any way, but it wouldn't call out and the screen went blank. It wouldn't even turn off. I took it back to the store, and they could not fix it either. Luckily, I had had the phone for just under a month and was able to exchange it for a different model. Besides that issue, the phone was cheap and flimsy. The volume was way too low and would fluctuate during a call. The key pad was difficult to use as the sensor was under a small part of the key so unless you pressed the key in just the right place, it wouldn't work. I have always bought cheap phones, but this was the first cheap phone that ever truly felt cheap.

I bought this phone at Target for $29(on sale from $39) as a prepaid phone. It came with 10 free min, but I just put in my contract T-mobile SIM card. My reason for switching from a Samsung Gravity to a $30 Nokia is that the Gravity gets very poor reception, especially in my home. So far problem solved. Not one dropped call yet. I've had the Nokia for a few days now. The Gravity would drop a call within 2-3 min, or at best the other party couldn't hear me. No bars all over my home, now, at least 2 bars and only one report of my voice sounding weird. Great second/backup phone if you get poor reception or a good cheap spare.

Two defects from my two day use: 1. The call will be disconnected when I fold the phone, even when I plugin a headphone. That's very inconvinient. 2. If I pick up another call during a call, the first call will be disconnected. I quickly read the manual but didn't figure out a way to resolve them. A regal piece of dung. Looks cheap, feels cheap and works even worse. Sound is barely audible. Feels as though it may fall apart while in your hand. Photo and video quality is horrible. You would be better served recording the moment with a piece of paper and a crayon.

It's nice looking, little too delicate...feels like if you let it slam shut it might be trouble. It does work ok, of course the button's aren't very user friendly, but you can get used to most of the problems. Main thing for me is having to hold it just so on your ear, if you move it the smallest bit you lose the sound. Seems like the signal is ok, haven't had any trouble with anyone hearing me. I got this before Christmas paid little for it, if not I would have probably taken it back.....At this time I am more or less satisfied and will keep it.

It's a nice, easy-to-use basic phone, I like it. For those who ask about the ringtones: the phone has Bluetooth. You have a computer (the one on which you are wiewing this page). Rip the mp3 from a music CD, or download a ringtone from a free site and transfer it via BT.

I am not satified with the phone. IT IS HORIBLE ACTUALLY. I hate is cause when you get a message you only see it for a second that an envolope pops up and disapears. If you have the US version of this phone it will not work in Europe. The US version of this phone operates on the 850 and 1900 MHz bands. The European version and networks operate on the 900 and 1800 MHz bands. This phone is relatively inexpensive; you should be able to pick the European version up fairly cheap. Hi, i just have a few questions: about the "speed"... Is the sms fast? or do the keys take some time to respond? And in general, not just in sms.. Do the keys take long to respond? And about the alarm clock... One thing that is extremely usefull is many allarms. I have a sony ericsson that has 6 alarms that i can set for a day of the week, to repeat every week... You get your money's worth, the price is reasonable especially since I do not need so many gadgets. I cannot find a flip case for this exact model or one that has exact specs. Anxious to find a case leather or otherwise. The only thing offered at dealer was a plastic coating type cover. A case would definitely be better!

its a bit daft in places this phone. You cant have the Date showing on the outside screen and if you have a missed call you just get a silly arrow graphic showing on the outer screen (no indications of how many missed calls or who from on the outer screen) and then if you have a missed SMS you have a graphic of a envelope on the outer screen again no indication for where the sms is from you have to open up the phone to see that. So if you have set a calendar message or alarm you have a good indication on the outer screen it flashes at you and gives you the message so why couldnt the makers technically extend this feature to worked on missed calls so the outer screen would light up and flash missed calls? I dont get it. You cannot it seems add a certain ringtone to a contact but i have found a workaround this, make a group and just put one person in it and then assign a different ringtone to that group which you can do. has anyone sussed about the operator Logo - mine says off and when I try to selct it the phone says 'no logos in phone memory' which folder is the logo supposed to live in and can it be bmp jpg or gif?

I needed a phone to call and receive calls. Went to T-mobile since I have them for years and they couldn't offer me anything free. The $27+ and $18 upgrade fee with 2 years contract didn't seem fair to me since a new client could get it all for free. Decided to look in local dept store and found this phone for under $30.00. I am very pleased with what I got since I didn't expect too much for $30. The camera and FM radio are more than what I expected. Not too fancy looking when you open it, but it's compact. Most of all, I didn't have to commit to a two year contract. I would recommend this phone. Remember, you get what you pay for. In this case, you get more than what you pay for.

Yes, it records time duration for received and dialed calls. There is a menu to call up that information.

Nokia UK Website specifications tell me it has 32mb internal memory - my phone tells me its got a total internal memory of a paltry 12.5MB internal memory. I feel like I have been had/duped!

I just got this phone for an amazing 30.00 Euro brand new for trading in an old mobile phone. What a lot of features for the money - yes its a shame no external memory card but lets look at the other features here first of all its a Nokia!! Its got Bluetooth!! - I have never been able to buy a budget entry level phone with blutooth on it. Its got a 1.3MP camera on it and not just VGA (640x480 which is normally what the budget phones come with even these days). So not much memory on the phone (mine dont seem to show up as 32MB total anyway) and no memory card. No good if you want to listen to loads of songs and take loads of Photos but hey get an Mp3 player for music and a digital camera for photos then! - dya know what just use this phone as a phone!! :) Right then I dont know if i have missed somethin here, I cannot seem to add a specific ringtone to a contact however I can add a photo to the contact and i can add a specific ringtone to a 'Group' - if this is the case then it is the first phone i have owned where I cannot add a specific ringtone to a specific contact in the phonebook. Maybe they will add this feature in a firmware update later on maybe. i cant see any missed call notification without pressing a side button to light up the outer display and even then it just gives you an arrow image not who the missed call was from until you open up the display. There is no 1 minute interval beep to tell you that you have missed a call or SMS nor does the display flash briefly to tell you have a missed call or text message - however strangely when you have added a reminder to the calender and the alarm goes off then the display will flash with the details if they can do this for the alarm function why can they not do this to advise you that you have missed a call or SMS? find the phone particularly 'ugly' when the phone is flipped open with its brushed aluminium keypad that looks cheap and nasty (blued backlit keypad would have looked nice instead of white LED backlight for the keypad) and dont appeal to me at all but when its closed (folded) it looks very sleek and expensive looking (i have the black one). No data cable or software in the box but I have sucessfully got this phone working with downloading the Nokia Suite onto the PC and using that with the Bluetooth turned on the phone even to edit my contacts book and SMS's and download pictures from the phone onto the PC - again as with all Nokia's it just seems to work with its PC suite perfectly with no hitches. If you are looking for a cheap phone with Bluetooth and not too bothered that it hasnt got external memory and your needs is just to use as a Mobile Phone then I can really recommend this phone as being your first choice - get it whilst it lasts! Got this phone at target for $39 yesterday. Awesome deal. Cool features. Linked to my PC via bluetooth using Nokia Suite. Phone has only 32 MB internal memory and no expansion card. Hmmm? I wonder if there is someway i could link an external memory device via bluetooth. I was able to link it to my Samsung t10 mp3 player. Now i can answer calls on my Samsung Mp3 player in case i am listening to songs on it. Love the radio RDS feature which shows you the name of the song that is playing. Still playing around with it and discovering new things i can do with it. Will post more info later.

I bought this phone about a month ago and I love it! It's simple and cheap, looks nice and has some good features (such as radio). The fact that is has only 10MB of memory isn't such a big issue for me (I bought this phone mainly for calling and texting not for listening to music, recording videos or taking photos). Battery life is rather good, sound is loud and clear. Keypad looks elegant and feels great :)

I bought this phone yesterday, and absolutely love it! The keypad is fantastic; nice, big keys! It's a pity there is no memory card slot, but to be honest, I only use my phone for calling and texting - I use my iPod for listening to music, and my camera for taking photos!! The only downside - very minor - is that due to the shiny, black casing, it appears to be a magnet for fingerprints. Overall, very impressed - 9/10.

I doubt is 32 mb.. remember GSMARENA always stated wrong about memory... it happened for 2680c, 2600c, 2330c, etc... usually 2 series only provides like 10 - 12 mb without external memory...

the phone looks amazing for a folder type phone , eventhough its made for as a low end market product i really think the design of it and the external display is amazing , secondary display maybe bigger in size than the primary display just because the secondary display maybe a OLED display type , however i really think it should ve been wonderful if it had a memory card slot that supports micro sd , girls will love it .

guys remember it's a phone for the lower market range, those people who just needs simple features like calling and texting. for its price its really worth it. design is amazing im gonna buy this as my secondary phone

it has megapixel cam but no card slot!!! lets go back 3-4 yrs and this would be a nice buy.

the model looks like 6600 fold, maybe this the cheap version of it... but wtf no memory slot??? u must learn from samsung for this nokia... i'm using samsung e2510 right now n very satisfied with it. cheap, looks gud, awesome feature for handset with that price...
