Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G - User Reviews

  • Yes, the price is quite attractive for a 5G smartphone. Only major thing lacking is water resistant features. All other features, including NFC are all intact. (Yes, I know, modern Android smartphone are all gone with iPhone way, no headphone jack, no memory expansion slot, but it at least got wireless charging)

  • & now this 5G its 348$ for 6/64 363$ for 6/128

  • really? still 10W wireless charging? eeww

  • There is an offer for this device in UAE: 5G smartphone from MI MIX in stock now with 64gb storage and 6Gb ram AED1,997 ($540)

  • there is no consistency between review sites and the manufacturer and i would just like to say the uk version at least does not have wireless charging the mi mix 3 does but not the 5g model, i have the phone and tried it myself on 3 wireless chargers and i have even had the phone exchanged and it's not there.

  • dual sim is only for the normal version 5G uses a single sim

  • dual sim is only for the non 5G version

  • You can buy it via a company called clove in the uk

  • The 4G Mi Mix 3 (Snapdragon 845) is dual SIM Supports use of dual SIM cards from different carriers; both cards can access 4G connectivity simultaneously Dual Nano-SIM slots; either card can be set as the primary card Supports 4G+/4G/3G/2G Supports dual SIM VoLTE HD calling ... • The phone is dual SIM Maybe the one you get is fake....there are many ways to find out. Good luck

  • thanks

  • I bought this phone yesterday. I was told that it was dual sim before buying the phone but turned out to be single sim :( **I did my research but still got fooled** Pros The software is loaded with features. The device feels quality and the screen is charm to look at. I don't mind FHD as it saves the battery. Fast! Cons The select to speak feature does not work (accessibility). Xiaomi apps (some) are good but there are bugs like select to spek not working. Google pay not able to scan credit card etc. I am in Australia on Telstra. Have not been able to connect to 5G yet! But they have 5G in the area where I live. Maybe the sim card or something I am doing is wrong??

  • No chance with that. Maybe 90hz at best. 120hz would increase the price of this phone to beyond Xiaomi pricing structure. FM radio etc will not be a priority much less DAB. Even Mi Mix 3 5G only for 6|8GB of ram. Some of these modems require 3|4GB of ram supposedly.

  • A fellow compact phone user :D I do love compact phones and can't wait for replace my Z5 compact. Hope xiaomi will make a 5" version of Mi 9T power efficient SOC (SD730) with 4000mAh battery with tiny bezels. Sacrifice the phone's thickness to accommodate the big battery.

  • Because it has a ceramic back

  • 4camera at back with ois 64mp main f1.5 24mm wide 48 mp wide angle f1.6 12mm wide 32mp telephoto 3x zoom f2.2 32mp telephoto 10x periscope lens Stereo sound with dolby atmos Headphone jack 2 camera front 32mp wide 24mm f1.5 ois 16mp ultra wide 16mm f1.7

  • Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 , Upcoming model ( Snapdragon 855 SOC has a higher clock speed of up to 2.73GHz. 7 nm ). my speculations below see. 1). 5000 mAh Battery / 100 Watts wired /5V/20A and 50 Watts wireless. 2). Endurance 150 hrs. 3). N F C. 4). FM Radio. 5). DAB++ Radio. 6). Wi-Fi: ax and ac. 7). 2G/3G/4G and 5G. 8). Android: Q 10. 9). 2K HDR10 + 140HZ supper amoled display. 10). 64MP Primary camera. 11). 16 GB RAM, 256 GB ROM. 12). IP 67/68 Dust- and Water-Resistance. Thanks and replay please !

  • Would this actually work on T-Mobile's 5G speeds in the Los Angeles area? I've had a recent mishap where I had a aging Mi Note 2 working perfectly fine on T-Mobile's 4G LTE service, and when I upgraded to the redmi k20 ("upgraded," it was more of a downgrade since I went from a proper flagship to a upper mid-ranger), I was experiencing only 3G speeds. I returned it immediately after I got this problem and I'm currently stuck with a used Nexus 5X trying to find a 5G enabled phone that actually works on T-Mobile's 5G service

  • Wait for pixel 4a 😉. I do love also small phones. How cute a small phone with a full screen lol

  • it will be impossible in china

  • Honor Magic2 offcourse.. better in every thing

  • Does anyone know where I could buy this phone, if I don't live in Italy, Spain, England (countries where Xiaomi sells that product through vendors or in their own shop)

  • what a heavy cell phone

  • Honor Magic2 or Mi Mix 3

  • You can have usbc and it be 2.0 or 3.0. The pins are different. Ignorant.

  • 225g!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • type c is already better than 3.0... the type-c is gen 1.0. you are comparing from wrong reference.

  • Hoping for 8/10/12GB RAM version :)

  • Will xiaomi finally use USB 3.0?

  • Still not infos on 10/12 gb ram and 512 gb rom model? Under 700€ could be a best buy! I wish they could make a Mi 9 Pro Mini, sized around 5", the design of other snap 600 series Mis is good but without an 855 is not worth the expense, over 6" is too big for me, and I even have big hands...

  • You should probably check your facts as Xiaomi's own website seems to line up with GSMArena. Perhaps you should correct Xiaomi first.

  • Actually it was. The first Mi MIX was much better than the Mi 5 that came before it. Even had a higher grade SoC. Mi 5 was 820 MIX was 821. Mi 5 was the first with a ceramic back and had UFS2.0 fast memory. But when MIX came out it was designed ceramic from the start, had UFS2.1 and started at an entry level with the same ram and storage size as Mi 5's Pro edition.

  • You know the more you misrepresent this company's products the more obvious you make it that you are picking and choosing brands to support or that brands are "winning your favor." Here's a reality check: 10GB RAM (no 6GB or even 8GB model announced) 128GB, 256GB, rumored 512GB storage (no 64GB variation in MIX devices ever) 93.4% screen-to-body ratio (seriously your calculators stuck on 85% or something? You are honestly trying to say that this phone has the same ratio as the Galaxy S8? With its 5mm forhead and chin versus MIX 3's 2mm forehead and 3mm chin?) Entry level specs only (Xiaomi didn't leak any higher model yet and the announcement even specifically said "starting at 599 Euro" meaning there is definitely higher models coming)

  • True that plus overheating the phone.

  • atlest give it a bigger screen, bigger battery.. mi mix concept was not meant to compete with the mi flagship brand.. tsk!

  • Paint it red, will make it faster.

  • SD slot makes phones slower .

  • The Mi series never had SD card slots for a very long time. Xiaomi could probably do that on their next Pocophone though.

  • I never had a microsd die on me or lose data.Im still using the same card that came in the Nokia n86,a 8GB microsd. Maybe Im just lucky :D

  • I would like to see a version with 12GB of RAM, 1TB of storage, MicroSD card slot, and resolution of at least 1440x3040 pixels. It's something that has already begun to bother Chinese devices, they seem to have stopped in time, these devices have long been parked in Full HD or Full HD + resolutions, rare Chinese devices have a memory card slot.

  • SD Cards die at any time. Use a cloud service instead on relying on local physical storage.

  • no one buys the 8/10GB anyway. Wish there was a 256GB one, though

  • For me the MicroSD or NM card slot and a card are a must, because you can't keep all your favourites and other important on the same phone forever.

  • But there won't be any Mix 3S. Think of this one as a Mix 3S, since it is upgraded.

  • Less storage and less RAM than mix 3. It's a clear downgrade.

  • There are two things about this phone that i m not a fan of: no headphone jack (which was expected, yes) and 64gb storage without a sd card slot (I 'm sure that the 128gb version will be like +100 euros or smth).

  • Xiaomi should have waited to pack the 5G on Mi Mix 3S instead of manufacturing this model. Unless they not have the intention of producing Mi Mix 3S before jumping over to Mi Mix 4.

  • No, this is not a Mi Mix 3S. Just an upgraded Mi Mix 3 separated that also includes capabilities for the 5G network.

  • Because of this new 5G network

  • The 5G network is what makes it more expensive. Not that it is a slider phone.

  • No, this not a Mi Mix 3S. It is a separate Mi Mix 3 like the Galaxy S10+. Although this phone from the original Mi Mix 3 has been upgraded indeed, it hasn't changed its name as the Mi Mix 2 when it upgraded from the SDM835 to SDM845.

  • Depends. Why would you want to build a PC for? If you don't have big plans with a custom PC, then a good phone will do the job as well.

  • Hello! Could anyone help me make a decision regarding this phone? First of all I am interested in anyone's battery experience who owns this device. My other question is will the upcoming 5g model have greatly better battery life? The variables which I have discovered so far would be the extra 600 MaH battery size, the newer lower consuming Snapdragon 855, and the 5g modem. The first two would obviously help the battery life, but what about the 5G, how much will it possibly drain away? Also the price difference is there, 480 EUR for the current one, whereas the upcoming will release around 600 EUR? Thanks for anyone who has a better understanding of this and can explain it to me.

  • in what sense is this a downgrade compared to the Mix 3? It has no disadvantage compared to it, while it has newer specs, bigger battery and 5G

  • Yes this is just an update for 5G only bro

  • Exactly what I was thinking. I nearly wet my pants at first glance due to specs and no notch but then noticed your comment. Wont ever be buying this unfortunately

  • Hi! Is this the Mi Mix 3S for this year? Or is just a small update + 5G over Mix 3? Thanks in advance.

  • Actually it's at least 24bit/192khz capable but is not mentioned

  • Because of 5G

  • It's N O T C H I would pay extra 100$ dollar for a flagship phone without ugly notch or holes

  • no 32-bit/384kHz audio, no 802.11ax, no Card slot, no 3.5mm jack, no Infrared port,no x55 5g modem (old x50).

  • You must be working for Xiaomi to defend this DOWNGRADE.

  • Be aware that this phone is only has a single sim variant! Google "why xiaomi holding back on foldables" for source.

  • Yes! 0.9mm thickness increase for good 600mAh more battery capacity!

  • Be aware guys these 2018 5G phones using X50 Qualcomm X50 support only 5G nonstandalone mode. Only Huawei Balong modem has standalone support now. What this standalone means check, but next year all phones will be standalone, Qualcomm is working on a X55 modem, they are one year behind Huawei.

  • Hey Expand the Network tab and you will see 5G there

  • becasue slider and 5G

  • why is this more expensive than the mi9 when its not as good except for battery

  • Will there be 8GB RAM/128GB ROM variant for this? Also, is this the Mix 3S already? I'm confused on this phone model. Really amazing phone nonetheless. Don't know if I'd wait for Mix 3S. If this has an 8GB/128GB model clearly I'd go for this.

  • 5G? were is the 5G bands it only has 4G/LTE bands indicated

  • It uses the X50, as will over 30 other phones this year. X55 is expected to see use in phones by the end of 2019.

  • Now making me even more confused to buy this, or building a PC.

  • But with sd 845

  • How this can be downgrade? ARE u blind or what?

  • This looks like a downgrade from Mi Mix 3. What is Xiaomi thinking?

  • I do not see a serious reason for the production of this phone. nothing new or spectacular with 5G nothing gets. Certainly regions that support 5G technology are reluctant to buy Kiaomi phones. But this is nevertheless a choice of the manufacturer

  • Will it use the new modem from Qualcomm, the X55 or the slightly older X50?

  • Still dun have UD Fingerprint ,a bit Disappointed

  • Still with the 6GB RAM, while the old Mix 3 CN models come in 8GB and 10GB. Whew.

  • Bigger battery nice

  • Other than this, what phone will come with 5G available this Q1 & Q2?
