I used this phone primarily, until I 'upgraded' to the Touch Pro2... which was a bad choice. The Qtek was bulky, sure, but it was nice. It was a modest phone, it didn't try to be something it wasn't. Hey, I'd still use mine today as a secondary phone if there wasn't the annoying WinMo issue with flat batteries :/ Sure, I could get another battery off eBay, but it's not quite worth the bother.

There is no update for the built-in Internet Explorer, but you can get "Opera Mini" instead. It is still on par with browsers shipped on current smartphones (except Flash support)...

Beka you can`t change language only if you reinstall windows mobile on phone .. or of some old versions if you reset the phone but i don`t think it will work to qtek 9100 .. just try to reinstall soft .. is on google search windows mobile (version) but check for viruses

about the question on msn-u cant see pictures on msn on ur qtek. and about the question about batteri-this goes for al types of batteris-lap top batteri/mobil batteris and so on-if its getting old and dont last so long anymore u should take a plastic bag and put the battri in the bag and close it very good then put the bag in the freezer for about 12 houers then u take it out and U HAVE 2 WAIT AT LEAST 2 OR 3 HOUERS LET IT DRY IN A WARM AND DRY PLACE SO NO MOIST IS INSIDE IT-THEN U PUT IT IN UR PHONE OR LATOP OR WHAT EVER AND U CHAGE IT-this makes the battri as new-so now u can charge the batteri and it wil last much longer. besides u should never use the phone while charging it-coz its not good for the cells in the batteri-best thing is 2 turn the phone of while chargeing it-never charge and make calls coz the battri is dameged by it-means it will not last very long and u have 2 charge it all the time. but the freezer thing works-i got it y self from someone and i tryed it and its really a good way of saveing the battri. hope u guys can use my adwise. take care and good luck.

Don't know the exact english words the phone uses (I have the dutch version). Go to the dial screen. Choose menu, then options, choose services. In the screen choose voicemail and messages en press the button 'retrieve...'. The name of the button is a guess. There is only one button, so you can't miss. It will retrieve the number for voicemail and messages from your network.

If the battary is not helping, make sure it is dry and properly connected. Sorry if that sound dumb, but uts one of the most frequent reasons for theproblem. With the 9100, I had this until i rebooted - use RESET button, making sure you have tranferred alll contacts and message informaotin to another handset. If this fials, try toi replenish the battary from the USB conection. Or buy another battery. Hope this helps Ron

I've owned this model for almost a year and a half and it's OK but certainly now has been superseded by other untis/manufacturers the I-Phone for one (and I tried the Treo also) My main issue with the Q-teq is after a soft re-set which has to be done quite frequently as it will sometimes not be recognized by the PC when connected for syncing (synchronization) is that the Q-tek will buzz/vibrate and ring (all at once)for about 5 long minutes each time. I have no idea why it does this and adjusting the volume/switching off the volume switching off vibrate etc has absolutely no effect. I think maybe it sort of re-runs through every appointment (many many of them) in the calendar. Does anyone else have this problem and how can it be cured ? Thanks in advnce

Hey guys, does anyone how to troubleshoot the touchpad on the Qtek 9100? It seems to only work half of the time. I've cleaned it thoroughly with a dry, lint-free cloth making sure to check the corners for any dirt that may have lodged there but its clean. Any help would be appreciated because I love this phone but its difficult to use without it being touch-enabled.

Hi guys, does any of you have an idea how to keep the stylus in its place in the phone? After about 8 months of use, the slot has weared down a bit, and the stylus is now so loose that it constantly keeps falling out. I am lucky if I can keep one for a week before I lose it...

Yeah, you just need to reset date and time for the current ones. After you have removed the battery, the phone thinks it's 2004 or something, that's why it doesn't show the calls registered in the last few days - ie. from 2008.

my friend, in order to reset ur qyek 9100 u have to hold down simultaneously the CommManager & Voice Comm buttons (located on the sides of you device) for about 5 seconds and pressing the "RESET" button(which is next to the IR receiver) with a sharp object.Do this when ur device is turned off! Good luck!

Hello, I've got a Qtek 9100 which worked greta until recently when it stopped bipping for events. It still warns me of incoming sms, calls etc. though. I checked on Settings/Sounds & Notifications and the box "Enable sounds for Events" is ticked... Can anybody help? Thanks!

I use the options (on Netgear) WPA-PSK (Wi-Fi Protected Access Pre-Shared Key)or WPA2-PSK (Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 with Pre-Shared Key)or WPA-PSK + WPA2-PSK but my qtek does not surf to the internet. Omar, you have to download activesync (free). Install the software and connect the qtek via USB. You can also download a small program to make your qtek a massive storage device. Just search "wm5storage", dowmload it and install it. Into your Cellphone. When you want to use it, just connect it via USB and run the program. I hope you find this info useful. u can download the manual from google, just search google for qtek 9100 user manual and u shoul get a lot of resoults and a lot of pages from where u cand download the manual. Will someone answer my question plz, how can i program my 5 way navigation key, because in settings/buttons u can only asing the the 5 buttons that are already default as the camera,messaging,voice speed dial,record and comm manager, i don't need this buttons reassign i need the 5 way navigation key betwen the green answer call button and the red reject call button. If someone knows how or if u can asing these buttons pls leve a msg on this forum, tanks

Can i personalize the 5 way navigation button because when i had Qtek S100 i was abble 2 see the the call history by presing UP on the navigation button but at this moddle this is not working any ideeas why?? This is an very good device. Have bluetooth, IR and WiFi. Is very customizable, you can overclock the procesor and do it more faster. Is best than another new phones with higher procesors. Sory but my english is very bad.

The 9100 is a very nice phone. I have used it for over a year now, and I still like it. There a a few minus points though. It has a very capable touch screen, with a virtual qwerty keypad. The use of this I do not understand since it also has a fine normal keypad. Also it lacks a GPS reciever. The display is not very sturdy and expensive to replace. Also it has a tendency to connect via GPRS when Wlan is available and in doing so chooses the more expensive way of getting email or internet. The microphone is sensitive to wind, so outside it is best to use the headset. The camera is of such quality you do not want to see the pictures, however it can be handy to have a simple meens of taking a picture or video. On the other hand it is a very handy thing to have and does what is is supposed to do. I also use it as an MP3 player and as such it is better then most cheap players. Connectivity with a PC is great. Also the mini USB is very helpfull. You can use this as a car charger and or use it to connect to any other USB divice. A slight problem is it's size. It may be advisable to keep a second phone with a second (duo) SIM for certain occasions.

I have had this phone for half a year now, it is amazingly good. The battery lasts for 4-5 days under normal usage if you remember to switch off the screen every time you're not using it, the keyboard is excellent, and sound quality is surprisingly good, even for music. I've installed more than a dozen new softwares to it, and never had any problems (remember to buy a quick miniSD). Browsing through the internet works great both through WiFi and GPRS/EDGE. Sure, the CPU could be faster than 195 MHz (large videos sometimes lag), the built-in camera could be better, and for some reason my phone slows down after syncing with the PC, so I need to soft reset it. But that's all. And I never had to realign the screen for the stylus in half a year, even though I use a protector foil, so I don't think this is a universal problem. I think the Qtek 9100 is still one of the best PDA phones out there for the money.

I like HTC but i recommend to you do not buy any of HTC models produced before 2006 (Qtek, SPV,...). They all have hardware problem with touchscreen (desynchronization of two touchscreen layers). It decalibrate itself on high temperature over 30 oC or if you put it in your pocket, and you must recalibrate it every day, sometimes every couple of hours. I had this problem with s110 also. 9600 has it, too.

You cant possibly compare real cameras to cellphones at least not those cellphones, newer cellphones maybe and indoor pictures in the qtek depend a lot on the light if you have bad light you will have bad pictures, unless you get a real camera with a real flash. 2 maybe your movies go bad because you dont have the good software and size. i have made tests, and if for example a 20 minute video with a size of 200 mb you reencode it so it can fit better in qtek screen, it will take around 40 mb, running the 200 mb video you can do it but it may lag, the 40mb version it wont lag. this also depends on the speed of your minisd memory. 3 not all programs bug, i have opera mini, msn messenger, few games and even avast antivirus and it works well. Just dont install everything you find on the net, make sure the thing you are installing is well tested.

This phone has really exceeded my expectations. Boy, was I shocked when this phone could still power up after having been submerged in water. Of course I had to clean out the water and let it dry out for 3 days. However as soon as I popped in the battery and hit the power button....BINGO!!!! still working. If you purchase an unlocked GSM phone it should work with any provider's sim, worldwide (in most cases). Most GSM phones are tri-band so they tend to work on any provider once the phone is unlocked. For instance, I have this phone working perfectly for me, and I live in the Bahamas. And to the guy whose phone is in french, did you try changing your regional settings?

not happy at all... 1.this device has a very bad camera, u wont make any pics in u house ! its only good when u make outdoor pics 2. movies goes so bad. if u are traviling and like to entertain ur self, forget about movies. 3.most of the programs u will install on the device will cause u problems. -in two words, its a great mobile only for comunications .

@ vahid After you turn all or your bluetooth options also dont forget to make your device discoverable. Finally you need to go to Start/settings/connections/ then go to beam, "receive all incoming beams" make sure it is checked. You should be fine after this. Good luck.

This phone is the best Ive had in range of Nokia N70, Sonny Ericsson P910i, P800 and O2 XDAii, XDA, Exec Battery life is good and no probs with S/W. S.W is more functional than the Exec. The Exec will not fit in a pocket this does. Wifi no probs. In fact its the most trouble free phone Ive had. Recommend a good case for it. Vodafone front desk support was limited although this is the case with most operators for PDA phones.

i recently bought this phone and i got to say it works quite well. the 200mhz processor can be a drawback sometimes, and im constantly having to go into the memory section and close programs when im using a wi-fi connection. that said however, if you are only running a few programs at a time, then it works very well. also, the inclusive headphones are amazing- sooo loud and very good quality!

Got my Qtek 9100 in Dec 2005, so far still running great eventhough i have dropped it on the hard floor a couple of times. No problem with the screen alignment, only do once alignment setting right after i got it. Wifi great, LCD great, Battery could last me 2 days with moderate use. Conclusion, it's a great phone, but if you live in Asia you may want to get a Dopod 838 instead of Qtek9100 simply because theren't many if any supports in Asia Countries.

ya gotta love the features, but ... it devours memory, had to buy a backup battery. and charging is quirky ... hard to get a charge light unless u plug it in before turning off; sometimes hard to turn it on after a charge - i just leave mine on, 24-7 and recharge often. needed more testing and a bigger, better battery before being released for sale - have the feeling it was rushed to market. have heard there's a fatter battery available w/ a special, thicker rear cover, but can't find it

Just received my T-Mobile MDA, and I'm pretty happy with it. I use it mainly for WI-FI and phone. battery runs out after some hrs of use on Wi-Fi! perhaps you should have another battery at hand recharged (Dont cost much). The sliding keyboard looks fragile and i'm very worried if something goes wrong...like the ribbon cable. Sometimes it slows down when using some applications but its ok, just restart...Another thing the Startup time is very slow it takes around a minute to start!! thats alot i think. My charger dont fit here so have to find a suitable adapter, currently charging through USB. I noticed that when i install applications and un-install them, the icons remain there! can somone help me about this how to remove completely ?? But overall its a very smart mobile with all in one functions, but looks fragile. i'm looking for a Bluetooth GPS to connect with it too.

I have not tried it myself, but I think I remember it said in the manual, that if the 9100 was completely out of power, you could not charge from the usb. Mabye I remember wrong. Regards.

Andrew You cant just say dont by one because you have had problems you have not even said what network you where using them on or where you have brought it from. i sell about 10-15 of these a week since december and have only had 2 back and they got exchanged within 2 days. I bet you were not even using it properly like closing files after use, using a memery card and actually reading the manual. and if it is on O2 that will b y it does not work. (and yes you can edit word, powerpoint and excel files)

The first three months of owning it, I had a relation of love & hate with it. Sometimes i was ready to throw it from a window from the 5th floor. Once, for just one working day I had to restart it 16 times. After that, and after I saw that in fact I had no phone at all (when you restart it you don't know if someone calls you or not.You learn it only if your boss calls all the time and can't find you because he thinks that you avoid him :-)) I think first of all, putting a processor with only 200Mhz it was a huge mistake. we have 15 of these units. Let me say they are generally pretty good but there are a lot of little issues : The Battery charger has problems charging in the U.S. The unit eats power for breakfast if wifi and bluetooth are enabled ( 1-2hrs max ). the phone book on mobile 5.0 is fiddly - not nearly as easy to use as a normal phone. if you want a PDA with phone capability this is probably the best unit you can find. If your looking for a phone with PDA style capabilities then this is one to avoid. Dogbert

I had the PDA2 I can tell you that KJAM or 9100 is way faster than it. And besides it got everything you need instead of caring a labtop around. Battery is awsome and no data loss. How come the 200Mhz CPU is faster than 400+ Mhz? Is the GSM function working properly or you have to repeat yourself 10 times before the one on the other side hears you? Is the WiFi working properly? Does it support 2 Gb cards?

This phone is very good! If your network works with EDGE the Internet connection is fast enough. You can go all websites you like. In the Netherlands only Telfort (O2) has EDGE so with Orange or T-mobile Internet is to slow.

I think there is so many conflickting problems on here because: NO.1 you dont use it properly NO.2 you dont put what network you use it on because they all rebrand the phones(a problem you have on O2 you might not have on t-mobile) No.3 you dont store things on the memery card. No.4 you dont close files properly after use. NO.5 You dont delete messages and emails. dont forget to look in the i.mate and O2 sections as they have the same phones and u might find what you are looking for Hope this helps :)

VanneH and ay2006 yes it does support GPS the specific one for the vario is the co-pilot live you should be able to get it from t-mobile. Shiraz_iqbaal@hotmai get a english software update that should do it. miro you need to get in contact with the tecnical support team for your network you can normaly do this by phoning you operater. jay the MDA Pro has a 2meg camra but yet again the GPS is a external reciver. What a piece of art...I've been very pleased with the stability, form and function of mine. I've heard rumors of poorr construction quality (peeling paint, loose stylus and keyboard) and if I were a more intense user, I'm sure I'd run into some of those issues. You cannot change the language, I got mine in French first with an AZERTY keyboard. Only solution was to swap it for an English version.

Yes, you can use SKYPE with your Qtek 9100. You should simply go to SKYPE website, RUN SKYPE in your Qtek 9100 (not save as ......), and it'd done!

have this phone for a week now, its very good, its fast even with the omap200 processor i have a pda with xscale 400mhz and its almost equal. i have none of the problems people talk about regarding synchr. in fact i havent had a problem at all with it, and im a heavy user. battery life is also very good 3-4 days and nights. i can recommend it to anyone, and yes pockeskype also runs good.

Hi All, I just bought Cingular 8125 which is basically same as K-jam/Qtek-9100 under the hood just different body on outside. It�s a great phone with cool features. Right now I am testing all the features to make sure they are working fine. Spec says it�s got IrDA port. I want to verify that its working without any issues but problem is I can�t find it! I don�t see any setting option like bluetooth nor I see any kind of indicator on the body for IrDA port. Any one knows how to test/use IrDA on k-jam/8125? I have another phone which has got IrDA and bluetooth both. When I turn on IrDA on that phone it shows read icon on the screen. Want to connect it with 8125 to test. Pl help.

People, you can also use new rom versions from i mate k-jam. They have identical hardware and i think there are better roms for i-mate phones/pdas then for qtek. Just google a bit and you will find them! Goodluck!

Had a Qtek 2020 for a (too) long time, active sync and everything else was a problem. Piece of crap. Solution to active sync is to go to pc active sync settings and select the port you wish to use, USB, Irda etc. Just that the ports may change the nxt time you start your computer.. I was able to sync over bluetooth when I configured everything from scratch. That was until I swiched off the pc. One timers. Seems that this toy is no better.

briliant phone, am absolutel delighted, it almost never freezes which can be considered as a miracle given that it has Microsoft OS. They've come a long way, believe me. Internet navigation in particular is surprisingly efficient, display is really good, sound is a bit shoyte but I hate long mobile conversations anyway so I don't mind that. Get yourself a bluetooth headset though, a cheap one from Motorola for example, and the sound is fine then. RE: SKYPE yes you can download the pocketpc WM5.0 mini skype application and run it over WIFI. It'll save you a fortune on your phone bill.

Take note that the Microsoft Windows mobile suite SUX real bad� I had the HP 6315 that ran version 3.0 and I had to reset the device 2-3 times a day because it would freeze, the OS platform that Microsoft uses is very unreliable. It sounds like this is a reoccurring issue with all devices. Don't use this device or any that runs the Windows Mobile suite unless you are willing to backup your data everyday and are ok with the fact that you could lose all your data at any given time. On multiple occasions I had my device crash (back to the original welcome screen- everything is gone on the phone) and had to reinstall all my software which takes 45minutes at least to put everything back on... beware when using Windows mobile.

S far pros and cons: - great screen surprisingly good to read books on the move!! - just rigth to put sat nav in ( i got Copilot 6) and being able to see it while driving, -good for games, - first pda which i'm not embarassed to use without hands-free. - great idea of all in one device with proper keyboard - transcriber( handwriting recognition) works surprisingly good. I'm found me hardly using keyboard as it is so much more fast to write. Bad bits: - bugged and unreliable. As a finished product - junk. Only suitable for geeks who dont mind to reload and reset things all the time. Crashes or freeze at least 3 times a day WITHOUT any extra software installed. If you want to use it for serious stuff forget it. - Phone is rubbish and everybody complains about me sounding like through the pillow. did not had to repeat myself so much and so often never before. -original wired hands-free very bad, wire long and thin, tend to tangle in no time, mic weak, sound poor, -very slow in most of the times. press something and have a tea while you thinking: will it crash now or not? - Windows mobile is sick joke. Without using host windows PC you hardly can do anything, i do not like or have wintel pc oops!! Resume: beautiful idea and form but bad and cheap execution combined with unreliable useless erratic OS. Still technology in infancy and craddle stage. Guess few years down the line next generations will work as intended with some degree of hassle free use. But until then it is an expensive toy for technolovers and nothing more.

Most of the positive posts about the 9100 are related to the device itself (look and feel, coolness factor). MOst of the negative issues seem to be related to the actual usage of the device. I am a pretty hardcore Blackberry user who relies on both email access and phone to get through the day. I have been _trying_ to use the QTEK 9100 for about a month now and I have gotta say either mine is broken or the device is not ready for prime time. Here's my stats so far: Avg Phone Calls/Day: 25 Avg Emails/Day: 30 outbound; 200 inbound Device Freeze Ups: at least 2 per day Device Soft Reset Time: 2 minutes (this means 2 minutes of unusable phone!) Number of Contacts: 3500 Time to Search Contact by name: Up to 2 minutes! Start up time from sleep: Up to 15 seconds to paint the screen with the keypad before a call. Intolerable! DTMF Failure: the keypad sometimes freezes upon call initiation making it impossible to enter DTMF tomes to enter passwords for voicemail. This happens on about 1 out of 4 voicemail calls. Too Many keystrokes: having to hit a power button, then One last complaint: The keyboard is too big to be used with one hand. Blackberry and treo users are alread accustomed to working with one thumb to send an email - I can't believe that I am saying this, but the keyboard is just too big. All the quoted times are with no other applications running - if you have something else like media player (god forbid) running in the background then the device will grind to a halt. So the bottom line is that if you are a kid who want to watch movies and play games then this device rocks. If you want to manage your mobile office then stay far away form this. I am glad to still have my Blackberry..Now I just have to pry my SIM card out of the QTEK for good!

I think that this is the same phone I also am a little confused about all this. I want to get this phone in jan. The good thing is that I will get it for free, with my upgrade from t-mobile. It is called the mda vario. here is a great breakdown of the phone I found it very helpfull to understand the phone. I think that you can watch movies on it. especially if you can get the stereo headphones to get the right connection. If anyone has already worked that one out please feel free to email me with a solution. It is a 2.5mm stereo jack with microphone. so rather than the 2 black stripes on a normal stereo jack it has 3. anyways hope this link helps.

Do not get this phone!! Excellent apart from the fact it will not connect to a wireless network via wifi and access shared folders. My XDA 2s (WM3 SE) worked a treat. This phone would not open documents or images or play mp3's. I'm very disappointed with these connectivity issues. Not sure if it is WM5 in general or a fault with the O2 version but mine has gone back.

I see on the Blackberry web site that Windows Mobile 5 (which I believe this Qtek 9100 has) support Blackberry. I really don't like the blackberry phones and would love to et one of these, but only if I can use blackberry with it. So sync calendar, todo lists contacts and mail wirelessly on the move. I like the Qtek 9100. Just one thing - I can't seem to find a way to turn the GPRS connection off, once it is connected, without switching the phone off. Can anyone help. I am also a bit surprised not to find a website for QTEC.

I know of a friend who has the laptop style Qtek to work with Tom Tom 5 also if you go to carphonewarehouse website they have a GPRS setup facility that send the details to your phone, I know it works I have used it in the past with my company phone that wasn't allowed GPRS setup ;o)

You can use (mini-)SD-cards, wich go up to 2 GB nowadays. If that's enought for you...it can replace an I-Pod.

Does the s110 compare with the 9100? considering it has most of the same features and a faster processor and more RAM. It has no keyboard but an SD wifi card can be added. Are these the only main differences? Can anyone recommend which then would be better and why?

It is possible to install Tom TOm software. Works fine overhere:) The 200Mhz cpu is actually a 850Mhz but slowed down a bit because now it has a better mobile battery life.

Mr D de xda mini s is internally the same if you ask me, so i think still no one can tell u about the gprs settings :P pls people stop about calling the processor bad, it seems like it's better than most others. i only think the 1.3 camera and 65k colors are points to be improved in the future.. is it that hard to get 256k colors on a pda? it takes them quite some time

Hey Guys, got this phone on O2 last week. Amazing machine but for the life of me no one could provide me with the GPRS settings ??? So in the end got so upset just sent it back and am now waiting for the O2 version, XDA MINI S............Shame, they seem the same on paper, so let's hope in pratice too ?? Hey guys guess what this is the best phone ever, i mean ever!! its runs all the software smooth and even i get to run so many of them at once. however the only thing i wish and its not this phone but it just i wish they had the normal SD card input so i would have been able to use my SD GPS and other SD cards with it. i bought it for 420 dollars in the USA ya of course i had to sign a new contract but hey it saved me MONEY> better then any pocket pc phone as well the Treo thing.

The bad things: small cpu, 1.3 megapixel camera(i thing 2 is more "today") , no radio. except that , it has everything else. Very nice ppc and nice size too. My next choice ;)

Hai, I'm thinking of buying this phone, but I want to know how fast it goes. I saw 200 mhz but that's a little to slow I think. Other Qtek phones like the s100 have 460mhz of even faster! Who can tell me something of the speed?

Hi i bought this phone a week back.This is a good piece of technology. But i feel its a bit fragile especially the sliding key board. The other thing is there is no one providing satnav for this phone. I searched tom tom and .... but no one specifies this model is compatible. Can anyone give me a few details on that. There is no dedicted website for this company and hence i was not able to see any accessories specifically designed for this phone.

The Qtek 9100 is a very nice PDA. But I would prefer UMTS in stead of Edge. Anybody knows when UMTS will be available on a Qtek with the same size as the Qtek 9100?

JMC, You should have no problem at all switching SIM cards. I currently use skype on my WIFI PDA with Pocket PC 2003. Since this device uses Windows Mobile 5.0 I am not sure there is a verison of Skype or if the Pocket PC version works for it. I am also interested in buying this little beauty. BTW I am from UK and live in Spain.

Hi, I need some basic introduction to the world of the PDA & QTEK 9100. I am currently working between UK & Spain. As such I spend the majority of my time travelling & I feel it would be beneficial to use a PDA for calls, faxes, e-mails and using the Internet. I am a big fan of Skype. Would I be able to use Skype with the QTEK 9100, how would it work out with regard to price? Also, would it work if I were to switch from a UK to a Spanish SIM Card? There was a post befor that it uses miniSD and that means maximum is 512mb, why? There are 1g miniSDs so what should there be a problem with that? Also what do u think is better qtek 9100 or qtek 2020i? Please suggest :) Of course nothing beats the qtek 9000, which is like god, but thats way to pricy!

for those who doubted the processor, i don't think you should be worry too much, as far as i know, the processor is 'multi core' compare to other pocket pc 'single core'. There's this video link and the guy 'using' the phone, some application, wifi n stuff, overall i think the wizard perform well. anyway...

I'm allergic to the circled-e on the front button and the 4-square button inside. I'm comparing this to a sidekick2, where there's another row of keys that's going to make a huge difference in the usability of the keyboard for me. Using SSH on the sidekick I have every key on a PC keyboard, including backslash, backquote, single and double-quotes, braces, brackets, pipe, less than, greater than, etc. Well, okay, two exceptions: I have to use Menu-I for TAB and Menu-1 for ESC. I don't think I can live with less. But other than that, it looks nice. :-)

This seems like the ideal replacement for the bulky "blue angel" but Skype compatibility is essential for me, so i would need proof that the seemingly slow processor is man enough to run skype well

Can this processor run Skype decently? If it does then it's the perfect phone for me, but I suspect that Qtek might be under preasure from mobile operators to keep their wi-fi able smartphones from running Voip programs. I've been using a Qtek S100, and there are only two things that I miss; more RAM and WI-FI.

Guys, hold your horses. The fact that it has a 200MHz processor doesn't necessarily mean it will be slower than S100 (which had an XScale) since the OMAP has been found in the past a much more capable processor for the same Megahertz. This said, don't worry about the 200MHz, it will run Skype well. :)

In an early preview it was stated that even with de 300 Mhz proc it still is fast. Mainly because Windows Mobile 5 makes much better use of the resources.
