I purchased this phone in 2005, a much stylish, dashing, sober and much attractive phone of it's time. Ringtones in it were very nice. I was totally satisfied from its performance but i could not find its CD and data cable for transferring the data in it. i have lot of good memories with it.

if you have more money dont buy it. anyway the buttons to type messages are GREAT, the best I have ever tried. Sometimes after listening midis, half of the main screen turns into something (blue red grey colors), i tried infrared - it doesnt work ( On specification is that you cant send IR to other mobile, only to computer or with computer, but i cant do that either, and never could), good video - its great, vga camera also ( a milion times better than some Sony erics CIF), you can picture yourself while mobile is closed (i mean fliped down), be careful with bottom of the phone (that rubber is for protection when you dont chare your cell, and mine cant anymore be static on that place, its always sliding down, so its iritating, but just because i was playing a lot with it.) Anyway, your choice... Wow, a lot of text :)))

I have had the samsung E600 for 2 month and the first day i got it i turned on infared and then the fone completley screwed up. Like when i went in my pics with my infared on it told me to remove my data cable/infared.....???? Wierd. Chuckin the stupid thing in the bin cos its no worth 2p for god sake. NOT RECOMENDED!!!!!!!!1

This phone is such a stylish little thing but now that i have hd it for close to 2 1/2 years i feel it is slowly dying on me. it has a habit of swallowing txs. it says somebody has tex then you click on it and its gone so they only way to retrieve it is to turn it off and back on again. the camera takes pictures while it is in your bag and a few times it has frozen. everytime u drop it there is a scratch so if you are prone to this then it can look to start quite damaged very soon. i love the look of this phone and will be sad to part with it.

i'd been using this phone for almost 3 years. unfortunately, lost it today. hix .. the functions are great. especially the camera button. always click by itself. i love the headsets. clear receptions. does not hurt your ears much. compare to nowaday phones. i think you guys should get this phone if you want headset, instead of bluetooth :)

I've had this phone for a full 3 years now and I'm extremely satisfied. I'm replacing it with an X680 because it's starting to die on me but I understand since this baby has been abused! It's been dropped, thrown, skidded, chewed by my dog and so on and it's only now is it beginning to function very weirdly like the messages disappearing and vibrating and hanging. However before this it works very well. I haven't tried using a cable though because it's too much of a hassle to go find a dealer in the Philippines and it's not a big deal for me it's usually on silent. I would highly recommend this phone to anyone who is making a switch from Nokia to Samsung. It has it's lame games but the calendar, alarm clock, currency converter, contact groups and SMS functions have helped me so much I practically can't live without them. I'm keeping this phone even after I have my X680 this Christamas because it's still very very functional. Any questions e-mail me

for some may be asking how can u transfer the pictures to the pc. there's this cable that does the job. it was selling at 40 sing dollar in singapore. but one thing is that u can only upload pictures but not videos. u can download pictures into the phone too but within a required pixel size. not bad though. u can downland ringtones that are provided in the CD Rom too. overall, not a bad phone. not high tech if u plan to own something more than an idiot-proof phone. :)

have been using this phone close to 2 yrs. i think i'm immuned to some of the bad features of this phone. of cos at the same time, its a user friendly phone. lifespan i would say it is thumbs-up. well, agree that if cell is not on silent mode, when a sms is rcv, it just keeps ringing every 2 minutes. frustrating mode! therefore i often put it on silent. one thing worth liking it is the camera feature, u can see urself while taking picture even when the phone is closed. the lifespan is gd 'cause i dropped it in the toilet bowl 2 times and it stil works like before. (oops! hehe) dropped on the floor million times and it is stil a loyal friend. i wil stil use Samsung cells when i get to change it the next month. :)

The most awful phone i have ever had. Since the day I began using the phone, it has caused me immeasurable grief. The problems include deleting new messages before they have been read and continuos vibration. The functionality of the phone is pathetic as well, you are unable to transfer any items via IRd not even business cards. The phone is unable to vibrate and play the ring-tone simultaneously when a call is received. The phone often freezes. I am utterly baffled how a company can produce such as sub standard product. Due to my experience with the device i refuse to purchase any Samsung products in the future.

Hey, If you want to buy a USB Data Cable and software (included) to transfer pictures you've takin on your E600 to your computer, go to this website: www.cell-phone-accessories.com In the search bar type in: MA-8220 That will give you the the cable for the samsung e600 which is also compatible with other models, but for some reason when you click on the E600 link for the cable there is no "add to cart" button...so just click on another "MA-8220", it might say its for another phone, but it's the same cable. Hope this helps.

This is my phone for daily use. I used it for over 1 year. I like the small size, the terrific photos. The ringtones are really good! Never had had problems with the data cable. It's battery lasts very long! Pity that in the Netherlands it's not ' available any more.

I have this phone for a year now and i will say it is really a good phone. I love the function, the looks and the camera. Hi, I own a Samsung E600 for nine months but i experience quite a number of problems. -no signal cut off by itself while on calls causing the an end to the call -the phone just froze there when a message is received. -have to switch to chinese language before the chinese han yu pin yin can used. -if you type 2 or more messages, the phone will start to lag. -halfway through the conversation, you will not be able to hear your other party for a few seconds before your conversation resumes, and i encounter this for various number of times. -Games cannot work at times. I must say that this phone has very good camera features but in terms of technology for conversation and messaging, samsung will have to do something about it.

Samsung E600 is a really good phone! Yes, you are right, it has a lot of good features, from camera, video capturing, to a very nice and light design. The only problem that my friend and I have so far is that whenever you try to save/edit someone's number, it just froze! You then have to take off the battery and then attach it back in. Other than this, it's great! I have it for a year now, always in my leather case, dropped it like once :) and it's working just fine!

I have had the E600 for a few months now and here r some good and bad points Good: Small, light, sexy, nice design, good camera, video, 64 polys. Bad: I cant seem 2 get the sound on the vids 2 wrk even wen volume is up high, the hinge is weak when its flipped down, lose signal all the time in calls, slow sometimes. But on general its cool an i love it lol

Texting problem - When words are to big to fit on the end of a line, they split across two lines, rather than wrap around to the next line. The wrap around worked fine on my A800 but not on this model. Anyone else having this problem? Thx.

I bought my e600 in Nov 2004. After about 4 months ppl began to encounter problems sending text messages to it and sometimes it doesnt recieve calls despite having full signal. I alays find that before I take a photo I have to delete some even though my photo memory is far from being full. I am very disappointed because the phone has many other good features and I usually find Samsung products quite good quality.

This fone is far-out! Its one of the best fone that samsung ever created! Its the smallest clamshell, w/ complete features! One I like is the photo caller id! Its radical! Also i like taking a picture shown on the LCD!! What else can you ask for?? It really fits a 13 year old like me! For !v3s, there are only 4 available pics... so stick with that, but your LCD is pretty useful too... first, close you fone, then try holding the camera button at the side, then tadaaaa! you can take a pic shown in your LCD! its like 6680! its sooo amazing!

The phone does ring & vibrate together, however it vibrates first then rings & vibrates. You have to let it go for a few rings.

just got it this week, great phone, quite slick. good points: - small, light, love the necklace headphone esp when i'm wearing clothes without pockets. - camera is pretty fun, esp when you can use the front screen to see what you're taking. - once i figured out the EASY GPRS software available for download from samsung website, setting up addresses, pictures and ringtones was quite fun. bad points: - iR works only pc to phone and vice versa. doesn't allow phone to phone communication. - if you're typing an sms halfway and are interrupted (someone calls, you hit the wrong button etc), it disappears forever.

it is an amazing phone...but i only have problems using the IR...i already know how to use all of the functions and features this phone has...but only for the IR...it seems it doesn't work at all. anyone who knows how to work the IR to ransfer data from and to the PC.

great phone i love it bright colourful not very modern ringtones etc the front screen photo taking is great. there are a few things that aren't 2 brilliant i hav figured out how to turn on the irda but i cant send or recieve anything using it!!!! there are a few other features i think it could have like mp3 ringtones and one thing i am annoyed with is that the front screen background has only 4 colours and if you want your phone 2 co ordinates this isnt good

After u had install ya EASY GPRS software, u need to configure ur Program "EASY GPRS" setting to connect via "INFRA" in order to use without cable to connect with ya E600C phone... If ya got a cable with u, then connect ya cable n go to setting there to set ur connection to "COM" This should solve ya problem.... Take Care

hey, i had this fone at christmas and i think its brill the camera is excellent compared 2 al the other fones i hav had! the video has good qualoty seen as tho its a mobile fone but the only problem is tha it only lasts 4 bout 30 seconds which is a bad point, for the camera ther is lots of different frames which u can put teh picture in, the design is cute its rele small but in my opinion i think its absolutley brilliant i would advise any1 who is out to buy a new fone to get a samsung e600! thanks bi x

I actually thought I would like this phone, but was quite disappointed. to turn off the sound while receiving a call (and it's closed) you need to hold down one of the outside buttons for about 3 seconds (which is way too long when you get a call in the middle of class). Also, I noticed when I make a call, after about 20 seconds the keypad will stop sending... or basically that when I check my voicemails, by the time the first message is done, my keypad won't send to delete it and move on to the next etc. camera quality is decent, video quality is decent (both are okay considering it's a phone) but you can't upload the videos to your computer. Texting can be a pain, but as previously stated, with an IQ of over 70 that's a minor problem. anyhow, it's nice to have such a small thing, but it could use some work. I still heart Samsung, though. anyone know where to get a d500 cheap?

i've read the spec for this phone...and something just bugs me....the webmaster that posted the memories, and other spec for this phone is wrong....so don't think that this phone isn't that strong...when he/she posted 300kb for images and ect... its actually more than 3000kb, so its about 3.1 MB... so it turns out this is the best and smallest phone off the market that samsung has to offer...i'm glad i made the decision to buy this, and the price is very worth it... thank you

I did a lot of research before buying this phone . I love it. I have changed the ariel for a smaller one . Uploading Pictures is easy also downloading them from your computer. You must get the EASY Grps from Samsung. Also I bought an Infra red data suite ...from Ebay....That is what lets you download pics from your comp. All the Samsungs are the same ..you need to download this software and have an IRDA port on your comp ,,,its so easy

Wow the Samsung E600 is a totally fantastic phone!! Anyone who thinks otherwise is totally in the wrong. I havent even got one, but will soon, and I know how great they are. I hear people complaining about the phone on message boards, and they whinge about really stupid things!! Thats why I'm going to set you all straight. Firstly, you can copy names from Sim to your phone, it just takes a little more time and effort, but if you really want the names in their that much you shouldnt mind. Secondly, the phones messaging is really very simple to use, and its just people who have previously owned Nokia phones who complain that it is too hard because Nokia cradles all their buyers by making the entire phone totally idiot-proof. Sometime you have to realise that not everything is built for people with an IQ lower than 70, ok? Thirdly, there is a vibrating option instead of tone option on the phone, it is listed in Phone Settings. Please, everyone, listen to yourselves. You are complaining about the stupidest things, and if you just took a look at the awesome phone you have, and took the time to go through all the functions and features, you would figure out the answers to your questions and wouldnt have to come on a message board like this one. okie, easy work actually. 1. d/load gprs from samsung website and oso the manual. 2. buy a infrared adapter(no need data cable), install the driver. 3. do the setup at easy gprs...use Irda-speed is 115200k 4. grps wizard is when u use ur hp as a modem 5. then activate the infrared at ur hp. make sure ur infrared adapter is 15 degrees from ur hp. then u can do watever u like liao!

Thanks stoned! That worked, such a simple solution yet stupid me didn't realise it. I think I read somewhere that you can't turn the shutter sound off, its some kind of alarm to warn ppl in case they want to take some naughty pics without people knowing. Can anyone else confirm this? Some other minor niggles: You can't select a custom tone for SMS alerts, no snooze feature for the alarm and the text messaging is kinda a hassle too.

to turn the outside display on with the flip closed, u have to press and hold the volume or camera button before it will light up. alot of downsides to this hp..infrared,difficult text msging..even inserting new word u have to clear your wrong word first. calendar memory is bad, i cant even save all birthdays inside, memory is out by the time i reach october. -_-" the only gd thing is the camera is not bad. but u cant take pictures when the flip is closed, i thought we can see the camera screen fr the outside display but alas it cant. and how in the world do u turn off the shutter sound?? isnt there a silent option to completely turn off all sounds? very annoying indeed. feel like trading in the phone.

Well,you can't use or send and receive data from your Infrared for ALL Samsung mobile phones(only from phone to phone,you can only use it from pc to phone).I have already checked it with Samsung customer service,but i still find it stupid as you can't use the Infrared on the phone to transfer or receive data from phone to phone.....They should really do something about it.

I agree. The phone always idles out with both screens blanking ( I could not find the option to change this, anyone else have ne luck?) Pretty stupid having a clock on the outside screen when it turns off so quickly and the only way to display it is to open the phone. Not even pressing the volume buttons on the side makes the outside display appear. Very annoying!

To:Laura U can't transfer pictures via infrafed to other phones. Only can be use with a laptop that have infrafed. So that is one of the reason I hate SAMSUNG infrafed that don't have use with other phone...

Just bought the phone and its really the good. The camera takes really good pictures and the video hardly ever jurkes which is brilliant for a mobile. The only thing i dont like about it is that its same old same old - samsung never change!!! Ok I got this phone this morning and I'm so impressed! It's the best phone I've ever had. The pics are so clear even the video (which I expected to be blurry) is cool! The photo call ID had perfect pics on the front screen, not a squashed look pic! Erm what else I dunno... the ringtones are quite cheesy but I always get texts anyway so I don't care about those. Ok so now I'm just waiting for my mini atenna (if anyone's looking for one they're about �2 on eBay) and then it's going to look even better!

hey guys, just thought i'd tell you my thoughts on the e600 seeing as i got it xmas and many of u seem to be a bit undecided between the e330 and the e600! in my opinion, the e600 is overall a better phone. true, the e330 does LOOK more attractive on the face of it, but it doesn't beat the features and quality of the e600. picture quality on the e600 really is very good and i was very impressed! none of my pictures are grainy at all, and they're all very sharp clear bright images, even night mode is good! the only minor compmlaints i have are: 1. no sound on recorder ( but i will add that the actual quality of the video is better in my opinion than the sony ericcson k700i which is a top of the rang phone!) 2. i was a bit annoyed that most places said it had 64 ringtones when actually it has 20! but they're really good quality although i would download some off the net personally. everything else i would say is extremely good! i LOVE the size of it, so get it, you wont be disappointed!

But in the Argos catolouge it's with o2, mine is with Virgin & being a previous user with 02 I have found that Virgin Mobile is alot cheaper!! I suggest u go buy it!!

Ye me again just saying that I have decided to buy this e600 instead of the e330 after all. I'm so excited to buy it with my Christmas money!!! So if anyone else is stuck lemme help ya... Samsung e330 is better on design and price, and has a flash. But, the e600 is better on picture quality, memory, records video, and has InfraRed. So the e600 had to win. Only thing, when I get it I'm going to buy a stubby aerial for it so it looks even better! Only about �2 on eBay!

the way to transfer pics from cel to pc is through the email..u can email 2-3pics at d same time.also u can use the cd driver of v200 and usin the data cable of it.hope that helped...

Ive had my e600 for two months now.Im completely satisfied with it.It may lack some features(radio/mp3) and memory.But all the essentials that i wanted in a celfon are there.I even surf the internet for cool pics, save it in my cpu and then store it to my e600 as logos.Well,as to what others always say, samsung is the porsche of celfons. there's is NOTHING wrong with this phone at all. For the size the camera and video is brilliant. you can hear the video by using your handsfree. i got a little movie of me riding on top of an elephants its great. im currently working out how to use infrared thats it. the text is good you have T9 predicting and other options if you cant work it out then something is wrong, just read the manual. No complaints, never will.

to use the cable for ur pc just use the cd of v200 or go to ur nearest samsung dealer or shops!to download just contact ur network provider to get ur configuration for ur gprs and mms site. to download from ur gprs go to ur networks wapsite and then choose the wallpaper or anything u want to downlod dat is compatible with ur e6.den download and as u recv it save it as shown in the option of your screen.after saving it check out ur funbox for the images and sounds,games etc.hope that helped evn a bit!

I bought this phone impulsively, the phone colors, battery life and polyphonic tones is ok. But the infrared is useless, cannot send or receive photos vice versa. What is the point having a infrared but cannot work at all. I used my another nokia phone to send picture by mms and the picture in the E600c not clear (snowzy)-anybody there having the same experiences. No more samsung phones for me unless it has bluetooth and a workable infrared, of course minus the antenna too. Right now, considering to sell off the e600c and buy back nokia 6230...(it's the best)

Excellent digital camera, but terrible phone. When I buy a phone I want to know that work great as a phone in first place. I don't really care about how many Java games and how many polyphonic rigtones it has. This phone has terrible reception. I guess it is a problem with all Samsungs, because in the last 3-4 months I've used E410 and E600 and both had reception problems. It's breaking up and cracking. Sometimes you can't hear a whole word of what the other person is saying, which often puts you in an embarassing situation. Additionally, the camera button has a glitch and sometimes when I carry the phone in my pocket it starts taking pictures. Closed! So I open it and I see like 120 pictures of my pocket - all dark of course. I have to erase all of them afterwards. Weird. Not a good phone. I don't recommend it. However I give it 9 for both looks and features. But who cares about that ...

I just got this E600C for the passed 3 months... for me the phone got a bit problem la... I can see the colour screen got pixel problem...(got lot's of dots) not so sharp the colour screen. The memory inside the phone is way too small... IF u like taking picture,your memory space sure very fast use up... Even u want to download ringtones or wallpaper,u need to consider the storage in the phone... The handsfree sucks... I can't move the string... is totally fix... plus the infrared doesn't works with other brands like NOKIA... I just recently got the e600, 2 months before that I had the d410, which was a good phone, features and all, but just too big! The e600 is just right, it is small, reliable, and the battery life last longer! In conclusion, I am very happy with my phone and don't expect to upgrade any time soon.

to download pictures to your PC you should at least use the EASY STUDIO PIMS MANAGER Version 1.0.01 (u can download the latest version at the british samsung's website) ... then follow this intructions to download pics from your mobile to your PC: 00 first turn on the mobile's infra-red and now beam it to your PC, then open the PimsManager 01 go to tool bar and choose FILE MANAGER or choose directly on the main-bar, 02 the file manager window should be open 03 first choose where you want to save your pictures on your PC (to choose from the buttom window) 04 then from the upper window press on my phone, then choose camera pictues, 05 by now you should see the list of the pictures that u've taken with your mobile 06 select one of all of them at once 07 now press the DOWN-WARDS button which is located between the upper and buttom window... 08 then your pictures will be downloaded to the path that u once selected to save in your PC 09 now your pictures are saved in your PC hope can help.....

I got this mail form Samsung..... It could be helpful... Thank you for your email regarding your mobile. You can connect the phone by a data cable or infra red to a PC with EasyGPRS installed. The cable has to be a Samsung, model number PCB093LBE but infra red should work regardless of the manufacturer. The accessories can be purchased from CPC on 0870 120 2530. The software can be downloaded free of charge: Go to www.samsung.com Click on the download center. Enter V200 as the model number Press return Click on Software Tab Click on EasyGPRS ver2.1.8. Once the software is installed on your PC please follow these instructions to get the connection working: 1. Activate infra red on your phone and align phone with infra red port on PC. ( or connect the cable.) 2. Start the software and wait for it to connect. If it displays the model of your phone to the left of the date then the connection is made. If it says OFFLINE then there is no connection. To resolve this: 1. Click on FILE and SETUP. 2. Change the COM PORT setting to IRDA for infra red or the com port that the cable is connected to. 3. Click OK Should then make the connection and display your phonebook contents. To transfer photos from a camera phone to the PC click on TOOL and FILE MANAGER. This brings up a window that has the mobile on the top half, PC on the bottom half and an up and down arrow in the middle. Specify the file to transfer and the location where it is going to and click on the relevant arrow. I hope this information proves useful, if it does not work then there is an issue with the phone or the PC. You will need to try the phone on another PC to determine where the fault lies. cool fone, been waiting 4 it 2 cum out in the uk 4 ages, ive been told that should be available by the end of march or begining of april in europe, lol still got to wait a while, but i think the fone is worth waiting 4, especially if it really does have 262k colours n a camera. can sum1 confirm whether or not the fone will have these many colours or is it just a rumour??????? cheers

I think the samsung E600 is very nice but what company is it for? Tmobile? Sprint? The phone has a very nice different look to it. Does the outside screen also have color?

hallo, bgrking, Well because i heard some bad reviews of X70 so i was comparing the 2 of them if E600 can come quickly, then i will choose e600 instead but now i think i may have to stick with X70...do u know roughly when it will be launch in singapore ? i would of course prefer a small clam shell phone. by the way does it support chinese character ? cause samsung phone usually does not. first~~~ this looks quite similar to S300. looks betta i reckon thou. i expect the screen to b 262k n camera, VGA. if not, samsung has made a big mistake, which i doubt. samsung rulez
