This phone has a metal unibody, contrary to the specifications posted here. Why does this website say that it is a metal back, contrary to every other tech site. Worst decision I have ever made with a smartphone. Way too expensive for a pathetic SD410 processor and only 1GB of RAM (the variant I had). The screen and camera are pathetic, the phone had Android 5 out of the box and received no updates after it what so ever. And a 1900 mAH battery is a joke. It was true in 2015, its still true in 2019, do not buy a Samsung mid-ranger. Huawei/Honor/Xiaomi are the ones you need to buy for budget phones, opt for the flagship S series if you really really want to get a Samsung.

Terrible Phone for Battery life. You have to charge it every day and Samsung stupid decided hey we will stop you replacing the battery. Also give that Apple are releasing an another update to IOS 12. Samsung lazy can't bothered even to update this phone to Android 7. I also forgot to add that charging takes forever. It so dam slow.

You may need to take the auto light box off. Also put light display higher if battery is very low will stop light flicker.

This phone is garbage. Battery capacity is very poor, not surpringly the later versions have increased. Response is not too good as well. Can also confirm, does get muffled speaking on phone. First time I've tried Samsung and this experience won't have me trying again!

Did you check if there is anything wrong with your friends' phones instead? The problem may not lie with A3. I have experienced excellent call quality for the past 2.5 years. The other side can hear me clearly even if I speak at low volume in an office setting.

This phone does most things very good except for making phone calls,people on the other end say it's muffled if they can hear me at all,I sent it for repair and they gave me a brand new replacement phone which has exactly the same phone call problem as the previous one. I have had this phone for over a year and overall it is a great phone, I mainly use my phone for music, Facebook, instagram, the battery for me lasts all day, if you were to intensively use apps over WiFi I recommend a portable charger. The games I have played were smooth, some frame rate drops for some 3d games but that's expected as games are getting more and more graphically intensive and this phone is a bit on the old side now. One issue I've had is the phone crashing and turning itself off and on but that doesn't happen often and as I said earlier I have had my phone for over a year now. The camera is good, when I go to a concert the photos I take look average in the dark but in light settings the camera is awesome. The screen looks good, no HD on YouTube I'm afraid the maximum is 480p on this handset not sure for other apps as I only used YouTube. In summary if you are looking for a good looking handset with a nice screen and are a moderate user of apps this the handset for you

i have mine since January 2015, i write from it now, no problems so far, no case and only minor scuffs which are visible because mine is in white color. battery last me 1day easy , loudspeaker is ok, earpiece and microfone are loud and clear, camera is ok for a 2014 device, not much behind the a5 2016 my friend has. it feels sturdy, took a few drops, no cracks only scuffs. screen quality is ok i watch hbo go alot of time on it and never wanted more screen or better colors or soever. buy the 1.5gb ram lte, i use mine with a 64gb microsd no problem. it's getting android 7 so it will get even better. can now be had for like 120€. totally recommend even in 28 february 2017!!!!!! also the white one looks slickest.

Mine started playing up. Issues with charging device. Last night was the worst, after turning off the running apps as suggested it took even longer to charge. 8 hours. And even then it got to 90 percent and started dropping. Its not that old. I have taken care of it. Started to freeze. Thought it was a virus but I have read that you cannot get a virus? Great phone , built quite future proof with an decent camera and an exceptional build quality. The phone itself has a small screen , but it fits percectly into the hand , it still gets software updates and support . It's battery is not enough for nearly a day of usage under common tasks eg. mail checking , youtube & other media consumption and web surfing. I would 100% recomend this phone for anyone to buy that wants an 4.5" beast , but if you have some spare money , you should probably get the 2016 version or the nokia 6

I guess it's a real delicate darling. Got dropped in some water for no more than a second, I pulled it out fast enough ..yet boom! the home button now refuses to work at all..Anyway, apart from that, sad that it doesn't support 4g (At least the H model) so Jio sim doesn't work!!

Horrible phone! If I had money to buy another phone I'd literally dump it in the wastebasket. It can't play YouTube video's higher then 480p, It lags like a phone from 6years ago. Omg ! Why would they even sell a shit like this. The Camara,both of them sucks! The Internal memory is too damn low and for some reason it's not even showing my SD card. A Total Dissapointment. And to think that it costed around 18k in India at the time of it's launch is really making me want to go to one of Samusung's Headcoaters and shove this phone down one of their throats. Nice size and weight for those who prefer smaller phones, but it has too many serious flaws: poor signal reception - sometimes it loses signal inside of building, in forest etc., no notification led, poor battery life, audio jack at the bottom (I prefer at the top), only average display (245ppi) and not too good visibility on the sun. Also there is noticeable slowdown and random apps crashing after few months of use.

I got an exchange phone - that was my solution. (It was under warranty). If that isn't an option, you could do a Factory Reset. I think I should have tried that, although my exchange phone is good I think. Anyway, to rescue your current phone, do a Factory Reset (you will lose all your data and contacts if they are on the phone and not the SIM card, so back all that up first). If my understanding is correct, that should bring it back to teh original version of Android. You'll then have to stick to that and refuse any up-dates of the O/S. That is what I would recommend. Unfortunately, there is no way to just undo the last update.

The RAM availability depends on the country, mine (Peru) also got the 1GB RAM but i know in USA (for example) it's 1.5GB it's kinda the same with the Snapdragon and the Exynos being distributed for different regions, and yeah 1.5 would've been amazing (i actually changed it cuz pokemon go lagged cuz of RAM) but it's still an amazing phone :D

Hello I just got A3 and don't really use it for much just basic and is fine for that but can't figure out if there is a light that flashes when you have notifications? I had a samsung s2 before and showed red flashin light for bbm and blue and green for text or fb, I'm not one to be constantly checking my phone but would know with s2 if I didn't hear an alert by little flashing light, can anyone tell me if there is a setting for this? plz and ty :)

it would depend on how many apps have u downloaded, keep in mind that the phone can come with 1gb RAM depending on ur country (as my case) so try not to overload it and keep checking the ram usage as well just to be sure, other than that is an amazing phone that will do the job for a fair price, hope u solve the problem ^_^

that's a mtyh XD some ppl say 8 hours straight, no need, just charge it full and ur way to go, also the first time ppl recommend to waste all the battery (thinking about battery memory) but i'm not sure how true is that, i would recommend (as my case) not to low the battery to get to the 5% mark, and always try to fully charge it (i know sometimes it's not possible when ur in a hurry) other than that it's a great phone, i hope u enjoy it i've had it for a year and a half and now my gf is enjoying it :)

Hello, is there any issue with hybrid slot? I mean for A3 2016, you have to choose whether you want to use the memory card or Sim card 2. So, if you choose to using memory card, your sim 2 doesn't work, and vice versa. I think if there would be a problem with this kind of thing, then I wouldn't buy it

I have this piece of crap of a phone since about a year. I hate it! I have to restart it almost every day because things stop working.. BT can't connect, wifi drops off, apps stop working properly, internet connectivity goes down. It does not break when i throw it on the floor though so it has some build quality. The battery lasts about a day for normal use with BT and wifi enabled. Don't buy it!

I have using it (LTE version with single simcard) for a year and this is the best phone i have ever had...i got it for secondhand and still in a good condition until today..although with the upgrade to lolipop version is a mess but not long after that they provided with update n now it's good. For the LTE version it has the fastest 4g bandwith (can support up to 4 laptop with a low ping for the online gaming such as dota2)

My A3 is an SM-A300F. After plugging my earphones that came with a Galaxy S2 in for a few minutes, it just decreases my volume all the way. Whenever I increase it, it decreases all the way again. Whether the current volume type is Ringtone or Media, this happens almost everytime I use them. Is there a solution to this? :(

I used this phone for almost a year now. It is a entry level phone so it is not very responsive or fast. If you use a few apps at a time, the phone will get very slow. This is especially frustrating if you are using it as a GPS device when you are driving. There are times when the GPS will delay so much that I can't navigate with it (like give instruction to make a turn after I passed the road). Because of this I do not upgrade the Map app as it makes it worst. The camera is slow at taking pictures. You will have to hold the phone for 2-3 seconds stead after you click in order for the phone and camera to capture a picture. Move the phone too quickly after you click, the picture will be blurry. The sad part is that there is not much custom ROMs that support this phone so i cannot root it. Other than that, it is a small phone which I enjoy. It is small enough to put in my pocket and not too heavy. Build wise is quite sturdy as I dropped it a few times (on marble floor, cement) and there's no problem.

Redmi Note 3 is better, but you have to keep in mind, that A3 is may be faster. I have MI4 which is much more powerfull than A3, but in daily usage, A3 performs faster.

Hi, I would recommend that you adopt a wait-and-see attitude and observe if the same thing happens again. The problem you described happened to my old Samsung phones infrequently, but not the A3 yet. Your phone may return to normal on recharging. If the problem is recurrent, I would advise that you send it back to Samsung before the warranty expires.

I bought my phone not even a year ago but the battery started to do funny things a couple of days ago. I recharge it to 100% as I have done for the last 10 months but only after a few hours it goes low although I'm not even using it! You are using the phone wrongly (cf. Apple). Drain the battery to 0% once every two months to recalibrate the battery meter. You should observe that it now takes longer to drain to below 10%. Try it.

Not once. I have a couple of games, facebook apps a use G+ a lot (uses between 150/199mg ram). Even with some apps that have adds it works fine. Only slow when fetching data from slooooow networks (but that's obvious). Enter recovery mode and do a full swipe/reset, reinstall everything and you're good to go.

So many stupid people here. I saw one guy ask "Is this a good phone for heavy gaming?" Seriously? This is a mid ranger, excellent for normal usage (social networking, etc) and some mild gaming. NOT heavy gaming. Dont people actually see the specs before commenting? Yes it has 4G. Pros: Very slim, feels great in your hand, lightweight, not one of those very large phones, works smoothly for normal use. Cons: The camera quality is terrible. You'd expect more from a 5mp front camera tbh. You could say the screen resolution is a bit low too. But if you're just for social networking, it'll be fine. If you wanna watch a movie or something, you might notice the low quality. Its not THAT bad. It will just be noticeable when you look at another phone. Lags sometimes, but then again, all androids have lagging problems.

I accidentaly dropped my phone from 1,5m to tile floor, and the display cracked, though the touchscreen is intact. It was the first accident, and not something exceptional... This phone is slow, slow and slow in every aspects. I used 2 differents person's A3 in 2015. UI and opening & transiting between apps are daaammmnllyyyyy slow, they also let me take photo with these A3, took the photo and opened gallery, it hangs more than 5 seconds.. even my previous phone was LG L90 which specs are lower, is very very fast compared to the worst expensive phone of 2015 I ever used. here in portugal this phone costs like 250€, so very near of One Plus or LG G3 which are below 300€. my actual phone is Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, I paid it for 150€ and is way better phone quality/price than I ever used, 10000x better than A3.

I agree. The main camera is quite bad. I was so disappointed. Poor picture quality,especially in low light and when you zoom in. I could live with everything else in the phone, besides the camera. S4 mini has much better camera. Feels like Samsung is using it a name to cheat consumers who don't buy flagship phones. Any other brands with good cameras out there?.

Using last 3 months A3, This phone looking good, slim and stylish. Upgraded lollipop 5.0.2 and getting something problem like battery drain, overheating phone, and slow running etc. My suggest is 1. After upgrade lollipop reset your phone one time. To reset your phone to default factory settings: Press and hold the following button: Volume up + Power + Home. This will bring up a small menu. Using the volume keys navigate to "Wipe data/Factory reset" This option should restore your mobile to its default settings. 2. Avoid heavy ram using software. 3. Do not install CM cleaner, facebook and heavy loading games software etc. I hope your phone will be running smooth. And also you have experience, share it. Thanks.

I really think this is one of the greatest Iphone 5S/5ish alternative, although it's not a perfect phone. A few things this phone does better are : - the display (super AMOLED ftw) - the battery life (the display and the small screen makes up for it) - the design the cons are - low resolution display ( this i can still bear with) - low mid end processor ( the poor gpu can barely keep up with the animations, this is probably a deal breaker along with the low res display)

Phone is an excellent looking phone but performance is very poor. It is less than 3 months old. When I play "Kandy Krush" (from day 1) and exit the game, it hangs (did not have same problem with my old Galaxy Core I) and all other processes become slow. It hangs on a regular basis. There are very few apps installed on it. Considering another phone now. I am willing to sell the phone and cut my losses.

Using a300m variant 4 about a month with 4.4.4 (my carrier not updatingto llollipop yet). If you once used a Motorola motog 3/g4g/E4g, you are gooing to agree with me that the A3 has LAG. Sometimes significant for this cchipset and price range. I'm very dissapointed with samsung A3. It's not all about beauty. I bought this phone because it was the best choice in terms of price/specs (not usual to have 16gb of storage on board in a mid range). There are no custom roms, no vanilla android for this one and no support of cyanoge.... Any suggestions guys?... Should i Update manually to lollipop?. NOTE TO GSMARENA: YOU SHOULD EXPLAIN IN THE REVIEW OF THE A3, THAT THERE AREA FEW MORE VARIANTS OF THE SAMSUNG A3 with LTE, NFC.... but with less ram to. I bought this one considering it would handle 1.5 gb of ram... But not. Just 1gb... So please, be carefull in the time of reviewing. Sory 4 my english. Not my primary language. Best regards!

I love this phone EXCEPT how I wish I would have gotten the 300fu model with 1.5 gig ram rather only 1 gig model. Build quality is awesome luxurious! All the teviews that say it doesn't lag....that depends! #1 Keep your wifi off as much as possible #2 don't try upgrading to another/better lockscreen. I've tried them all slows it down. Went back to stock. if you like a smaller thin very well built phone that feels premium & fits great in your pocket AND you won't be using wifi too often then this right phone for you! Using wifi a lot? I'd look elsewhere. My s4 mini way better wifi wise but not the same build quality nor call quality. This does have excellent call quality as well.

I have A3 duos for some about 1 month. Its quite OK phone for every day use. Size and screen its good for me. My biggest complain concerns using Skype and Viber applications. They just don't work correctly on that phone. All the time I have missed calls. For example I have opened (signed in) Skype and Viber, using my phone as phone, half of the day I don't have any notifications and only when I open application it show me all the missed calls and messages. Its looks like applications don't active when you use your phone for other things. Its totally unuseful, unfortunately. I have tried to reinstall applications and even make factory reset. No change unfortunately. Samsung "official" answer was like: "messages settings you can change in menu settings-messages-applications messages - priority... bla bla bla ...But its not Samsung applications and we cant guaranty the work of it... " Very helpful Samsung! From Skype still didnt receive an answer. Have some of you maybe the same problems or maybe someone have any solutions. With best regards, owner of Samsung A3 phone

Samsung A3 User Review Having used numerous Samsung handsets previously, and the last one being a Samsung S4 mini, I am quite disappointed in this handset. Ok, overall I wouldn't say it's a terrible phone, but considering the price, and specs of the phone, it's actually a nice rip-off by Samsung, packaged very smartly. These are my findings: *If you have never owned a high end Samsung before, you will probably be thrilled with the phone. However, if you compare what you are getting, it's a huge disappointment. 1st,the good points: -I've never liked huge sized phones, so the size is just perfect. -The screen is quite vivid and bright. Colours show up nicely. Contrast is good. -Screen resolution is not fantastic, the S4 mini has a higher ppi. So for me this was a downside. -The camera is very disappointing, pictures are OK for good lighting, and macro shots are good. However, for anyone wanting to dabble in any kind of decent photography, will be disappointed. The S4 mini had a WAY better 8MP camera with a BSI sensor, the A3 does not. Samsung couldn't even take this old camera and stick it onto the A3, but actually put one that's much worse in it. Zooming in on both pictures will have to appalled at the low quality of the A3. -Low Memory. The South African version has only 1GB of Ram. This means that with Facebook and just a few apps, your phone will struggle, as there will be very little Ram to give you a fluid, smooth user interaction/navigation on the phone. -Because of the low Ram, you will have problems if you attempt to upgrade to lollipop, as lollipop requires 100MB more than Kit Kat. The phone does not have sufficient space afterwards and freezes or crashes. Don't upgrade to lollipop just yet. -There are no gesture commands at all. The S4 mini had this, and that on a phone which is 3 years old. -There is no Power Saving mode - Yes there's an ultra saving mode, but who wants to use the phone I'm black and white with half the apps shut down. -Battery lasts long on standby and whilst watching movies, but as soon as you start browsing and use the screen in brighter surroundings, you will literally see the Battery draining before your eyes. -The external speaker is really low on volume. Sounds tinny and can't even hear the navigation commands whilst driving. No bass, just treble sounds. Shame on you Samsung! Overall, for the price, nothing to be impressed about apart from the looks of the phone. Looks like Samsung forgot how it became popular in the 1st place - by offering good, solid value, with good quality, and a few extra features that other manufacturers never had. Now, it seems they are only interested in milking their loyal consumers. It seems they now only cater for the very high end consumer, and give everyone else rubbish at an exorbitant price. This is the time for another manufacturer to fill this gap with some decent mid-phones. Sooner or later, many people will realize this. A good question is how can the J5 sell for half of the price of the A3, but with higher specs. Can you imagine how the consumer is taken for a ride, if they are loyal to the Brand....?

yes, you can do a soft reset... just push the power and the vol down buttons together and you phone will restarted.

The damn thing about the this phone is that when it hangs during an app, you cannot do anything. You just have to wait for the battery to drain out. You cannot remove the battery or anything like that to restart it quickly. Just imagine if you have the battery fully charged and it hang up in your hands... -:) -:) -:) -:) -:)

I purchased this phone about two months ago as part of a company deal for $230. I had concerns as this device has a small SoC and only 1.5 GB of RAM. However, the phone turned out to be great and I don't have any problems with it. I upgraded the OS first thing, but I have not witnessed lagging or any other issues while using it. Sure, it heats up sometimes, but it only happens when I multitask like crazy. The device is very comfortable to hold and use with one hand, even in a flipcase. 4G hipernet is excellent, I'm very content with the speed. The camera is useless in dim lights, the pictures taken with it are noisy and the focus time is quite long. Making videos is, however quite the opposite. The sound quality on this phone is average, don't believe the HD bullshit. The overall impression that the phone made is good, and I could not be more happy with it.

Unfortunately sometimes depending on which country yr phone was made in... u won't be able to upgrade. You can try by going to "about phone"(under settings) probably near the bottom. Then go to software and check for updates (CAUTION USE WIFI WHEN UPDATING, this can use loads of data

i can not compere it to s4 but my gps is excellent. it connects to satellites in 10 sec, usually. indoors it takes some 20 sec. (i do not use agps) outside error is usually 3-5m. i bought this phone to be my gps for mtb rides and it is flawless as gps unit my only complain is really bad cam

I think it is a great phone. i got it the day before yesterday and i am enjoying my time fiddling with my phone. It has a great processor as well as camera and camera settings. I havent even noticed the old android system and old touchwiz and i dont think mine is updated as i haven't had wifi but it isnt doing any harm. For those that are waiting for an update in Europe (Portugal), just updated my A3 (A300FU) to Lollipop 5.0.2, made an factory reset from recovery and its still fast and snappy. New effects and new notifications and i notice that its a little faster on boot up. Recommend the upgrade.

Sound quality is super! 7. worst phone I've ever got. processor is super slow. the phone lags everytime. It can lag for 13 seconds just to wait for a simple app (like contacts) to open up. When people call me, i won't get any calls. But after that i received a missed call. the only good thing about the phone is its size and battery life. it is just 4 months of using it and i am thinking of changing a phone. Usually i only change phone when the network contract is up (2 years).

I don't use many apps and A3 easily lasts me several days, more than two days, with usual moderate usage. When I rarely use apps and just keep it mostly on standby, it lasts over 5 days, easily. So any claim that the battery is bad is totally false. If you expect it to get very long usage when browsing a lot, viewing videos and playing games a lot, like high end phones with huge batteries, you're just being unrealistic, unreasonable and unfair.

The battery drain very fast and and the battery history always shows that the screen is consuming 63% of the battery. Even after I reduce the brightness to the darkest. It's still shows 63%.

I want to take three suggestions from all of you friends. 1. Camera lens > i was using samsung galaxy s duos 2 ealier to this phone. I used to put it on my table and never used any type of cover i.e. back cover or flip cover after six months i noticed that the camera was not giving clear photos. I took phone to service center, they told that the outer mirror(glass) of camera lens has got scratches so you will have to change the body of phone because only that mirror was not available. So, i sold that and purchased galaxy a3, unfortunately its camera's protector mirror is bulging outwards and i am also using that same table. So, again same problem is before me. So what can i do, i dont want to carry a tissue paper always with me to place phone on that. And i use mobile with rough and tough sense. I am also not willing to use flip cover or back cover because i hate these as ladies or girls use these covers more. So please suggest any solution. Regards vijay

Precisely because it is protruding, you won't scratch it when you put the phone on the table since the entire phone is tilting upwards ever so slightly. The lens won't even contact the table surface, only the "frame" of the lens does. You have to worry about scratching phone lenses that are flush with the back of the phone though.

I tried that with Odin instliram lolipop 5.0.2 removed from SamMobile site and females at the end of the installation out my mistake. I finally got the A3 yesterday and tested it. In my review, its a smart-friendly phone with decent features. If you are looking for the best mid range phone, this is the type of phone you want to have for years. Performance wise, it stands out than the other mid range phones I know. My husband got this phone 08/03/15. 10 days we had to return with phone as it had switched it self off during the night, and wouldn't come back on. The store told it was dead and needed charging. We knew this wasn't the case. They plugged it in and it showed 0% then straight away went to 58%, then to 63%. Whilst in the store the return key and info key stopped working! You are paying for MUCH better quality and ideal compact body, Gorilla Glass 4 which makes a huge difference (Grand Prime is easily scratched, A3 is NOT), MUCH better and brighter screen, MUCH better sound quality (headphones output is LOUD and high quality, Grand Prime output is quiet and low quality). Which one is the better choice? Do the math.

You expect A3 to have a speaker as loud as S5? How about being realistic and not comparing flagships to mid-range? A3's speaker is not as loud but it is clear and undistorted, usually enough for any voice call.

Totally agree with you. Better off with Grand Prime. All the spec id the same except the screen size and battery. 1900mah in A3 compare to removable 2600mah battery in Grand Prime. Even the screen is the same 540X960 quarter hd resolution. You are paying MORE for the metal rim and super amoled screen and not the important stuff if you buy galaxy A3.

You don't need to wait for the battery to be fully drained. you can just restart your phone by holding power button and volume down together and hold till your phone restarts...

It is blurry i guess. I have the grand too which have 5mp and it is way better than this 5mp. However in 2016, 8mp front camera will be the norm because the trend this year is all 5mp front shooter. Front camera is getting better and better. Some smartphone even have led flash at the front. Bigger megapixel does not make a better camera, it is the camera aperture that make it better. Camera expert always look at the camera aperture value. The best you can get is between F1.9 or F1.8 (lower is better). The megapixel count is just a sale gimmick.

This phone always freezes after playing COC. Once you exit in the game and return to the home screen, it will freeze! It happens to me a lot. I bought my A3 from Dubai 2 weeks since its release,and get disappointed after it first happened. The only solution is for you to wait it to wait for its battery to get drained on the next day! After that it it will restart and can be use again!

Ikr, when i tried it in the store, it's not even better than a 2 mp's iphone or grand. That's why i'm not sure whether i should buy it or nah, since the front camera has become a big deal.

Just bought this phone and I am little disappointed. I like the 4G/LTE connectivity, the fast processor and the design is very attractive, but the screen is not sharp enough to warrant the high price tag, especially with several other phones on offer here that offer higher pixel densities for over half the price. That being said it's still a pretty darn good phone, though I wish it had been a little cheaper.

Bought a few weeks ago an A3 in China (SM-A3000 dual). Flashed immediately with HK 4.4.4 firmware. Very happy about performances under 4G network. It's my first Android phone ever, bought to test if I can escape from iPhone prison for good. Bought I second one in Italy (SM-A3000FU) since I lost the first one :( I rooted it and it works very well. Now I'll try to flash it with 5.0.2 lollipop (there is a Russian version for SM-A3000F). Hope I won't brick it...

its a shit mobile took me one day to realize that and return to use my old note 2 . A5 battary drains too fast , no LED notifications , speaker sound too low . the only thing i liked about it is it metallic frame .

Yeah!This is how they trap the customers. The same brand has different models.But it is not communicated.No separate user manuals.I don't know whether it is legal but for sure not ethical.Customers are being fooled since they are not aware what's going on.This is not limited for A3 or Samsung I think.I also think the people in the Asian countries should be more cautious. Earlier it was low quality imitations and now it is the different quality products by the same original company. May be to capture different price markets. This shouldn't be hidden anymore.Damn these cheaters!!!

I've found my new A3 is not matching with the user manual downloaded. When ask for Tec support only I came to know that there are different country versions available in the same product.Therefore pls be vigilant when you buy one as even the original company product there are less featured versions.I think the best model is Hong Kong manufactured one which has all settings & features in line with the user manual. Thanks

Go for e5. U got a better. 5 inch 720 screen. U still have the same camera like those of a3. The only thing missing is the lte connection but hey it still got 3g with decent speed and ive heard from reviews that e5 performs faster with tests done.

This phone is overpriced. We know its full metal body but it only have 1gb of ram for that high price. The battery is not user removable so when it hangs, reboot it. One of the worst smartphones by Samsung .. -_-

I just bought my Samsung A3 last April 9, 2015. At first, the battery is not charging up to 100%, then it charge up to 87% and lower to 79%, to 59% and to 29%. So I brought it to the service center after 11 days the replaced the motherboard and the battery. But I have notice that the arrow back light and signal i not working. It's just a month and there's a lot of problems with the phone. Hope that they can fix it.

Bought the a3 in gold - 1 problem when you are at the home screen the time, battery signal and wifi signal in the top right hand corner is blur WHY? When you go into a app all the signals become clear. I have taken one phone back because of this , looks like I will be taking another phone .

Bought the Samsung Gallaxy A3 2 weeks ago and I am very annoyed,the problem is that browsers doesn't work under the sunlight, when its in adaptive picture settings and automatic brightness (black screen and only some random inverted text colors) from service they replace the main board and screen and said that it is a bug with SOME phones, has anyone else noticed the same bug?

You are right, S5 mini has more attractive functions, but A3 has fully metallic body, is ultra thin, Galaxy A3 is not in standart Galaxy body such as S5, S4 and mini series. A series are very elegant and stylish. And the last, it depends on your own liking what to choose...

you can use the same ROM wherever you are. The only diference being the bundled software adapted to each country. Not important at all. I use an African ROM in an european phone, and used to install a russin ROM to an African phone.
